Funny you mentioned that, that was the only way I could get the hue of Tails' hoodie to change color. I had to make Tails' fur a bit reddish so that the hoodie could change color without it clashing with Tails' fur (I wish I could explain the process better, but sadly I can't)

Why not duplicating his image, on one you change the colours you want and on the other you keep things you want not to be changed (eyes,fur,...) and remove the rest, and put it on the upper layer.

I kinda have a concept on how to collect Chroma:
So basically we need to collect Chroma Tokens to unlock each skin (100 for the first Chroma and 150 for the second)
Then occasionally we can have a Chroma event where we can collect Chroma Tokens in chests and on the track
When it is not a Chroma event you can still unlock them using RSR, but the prices will be lowered from currently
If you don't have the character when you unlock its Chroma, it will be unlocked but you won't be able to use it until you unlock the original skin

I really like the concept. For non-Supers, maybe the Chroma Tokens can replace the rings since getting rings is much easier via chests these days to the point of not really having any need for them in races.

However, I would also hope for an exchange system since there would be no need for Chroma Tokens once every Chroma skin available is unlocked.

They can be exchanged for rings, Red Star Rings, or even cards for characters still locked.

I based the twelfth Valiant Tails Chroma skin off of Maria because of the Dark Beginnings animation. Without the fire tinting I implemented, the armor basically has some resemblance to Chun-Li's iconic attire (as well as her Alpha attire). The sword's colors are based on the monochrome still image of Maria in Shadow the Hedgehog.

I like this since it brings some variety to the 100+ characters we already have. But the prices are really not great for recolours.
I like what we have so far and for suggestions I’d love to see something for these guys.
Drastically reduce Chroma prices (500-700 I feel is fine).

Right now, it’s a relatively pointless purchase if you can't appreciate what you bought (reasons explained below). Such a relatively small change deserves much lower, reasonable costs.

The purpose of game skins is to flex on other players and so you get a visual "damn this looks good" appreciation for it yourself during gameplay, but for a game as simple in mechanics such as Forces, I don't feel it's worth the current prices. When playing we don't like, use many mobility options that makes our character do many different actions, our outfit being animated and moving in all kinds of ways which results in that inner-brain visual appreciation for what we bought. Heck, you can’t see the front of your character at all - This is why I feel the prices are ridiculous, because you can’t see much of the alt costume you’ve bought.
Say, it's like buying a skin for your killer in Dead by Daylight, except you see your skin during the first few seconds after you spawned on the map, and then the game redirects you into 1st person view for the rest of the gameplay process. And the only “skin” part you see is the new killer weapon.
