#Malady idea: Overexertion

There needs to be some limits on these buffs, they are getting a bit out of control imo
the implementation im proposing may be too harsh but the underlying idea is whats important imo
oh, that sounds like a great idea
yeah i don't like the "put it on the pile" approach either
tying buffs to fatigue just makes sense to me, you are working harder so you should tire faster
also makes fatigue res a true combat stat

I kinda agree actually. you can absolutely trivialize any difficult encounter by stacking as many buffs as possible
probably make Vigor an exception tho , for obvious reasons
see, this is why i post cursed ideas, you never know when one of them will surprise you with being agreed with by the community
If it were to be implemented, I would want more methods to handle fatigue though.
otherwise endgame dungeons would become unbearble for a lot of builds
could be a subtle thing , like a 0.1/rd something fatigue on any buff active after the 5th
fatigue res is a very good stat already, this would just shed light on that fact more readily
endurance training stocks from Leif would rise up
i could see this giving rise to a true fatigue res build thats centered around buffs
that would be so fun
how about instead of fatigue it affects duration? stacking mutiple buffs lowers positive buff duration, reduced by fatigue res or fortitude.
dunno about fun, but some way to lower the incentive to stack every active buff under the sun and call it a build would be welcome
hell nah , that would just make shorter buffs way worse
it would have to be formulaic yeah
energy costs?
its important to consider how the ripples would effect everything else and how much work it would take for the devs to rebalance things
if its too hard to impose on the existing balance it would be hard to justify
there are so many modifiers already it is kind of hard not to have massive implications
energy replenishment might be the most reasonable
thats part of the reason why i made this idea in the first place lol
too many buffs and the game starts to break
imo vigor and blessings should be exceptions
my first time fighting ancient troll before I knew anything about the game really I just stacked a crazy amount of buffs and tanked every hit
we've all been there
Look at my cool build!
-looks inside
-adrenaline rush and tactical advantage.
we just need more skill trees honestly. hopefully alchemy, sabotage etc. will change the dynamic for a lot of builds
i have high hopes for maladies
Adrenaline rush, will to survive, against the odds, unyielding defense, raise the shield, hold the line
completely balanced and fair build
you guys are encroaching on my fatletics build in your descriptions 😩
The rest of the support trees will definetly help imo
7 rounds buff routine
