Game not launching properly

Do you have a raytracing capable graphics card? Enhanced edition is raytracing only, so if you don’t have one you’ll need to download the original version

Yep, it worked perfectly fine before but it’s playing up now

I last properly played in November 2023, I think I launched it in February this year but i tried to launch it recently and it came up with that

have you tried reinstalling the game itself and/or verifying files? May also be worth updating GPU drivers

My next step was to uninstall then reinstall

have you tried saying "yes" to starting in safe mode?

also check it isn't running somewhere in the background before pressing stop - it might be minimized for some reason, happens to me on a lot of steam games, seemingly randomly

I did, but not yet since I’ve reinstalled it, so I’ll try again soon

@sand summit yep, I started in safe mode, and it does launch. However, it crashes once it gets to the loading screen with the blood on the snow.

might also be overclocking - metro doesn't seem to like that bit I am kind of out of suggestions so probably best to head to support (please in the ticket, explicitly tell them everything you already did because the troubleshooting we have just done will be the first response)
