To piggyback off Fundamental's suggestion, I think it would be a good idea to have quests or something the like that new players can do or interact with and get the required items to play on the main island. Runebook is one, maybe an exceptional set of plate/leather + shield and weapon.
The problem Occlo will have until its got a few players on it running around, is Vet participation. They wont jump into Occlo, and they wont jump into Occlo if only 2-3 new players are running around. With many of the vets that craft gear taking a break, it's harder for these new guys (and current players) to get going on Occlo.
for example: can all the encounters that are on Occlo be completed by a tank in store bought platemail from the Occlo vendors? If they can, then I suppose its a moot point.
Maybe some increased skill gain among young status players. Could be until 60 or 70. Or extended power hour from 1 to 2 hours while in Ocllo. Biggest challenge lot of young players think they can jump in with the build they have in their mind facing harsh reality. Game should allow young players catch up Vet quickly as possible so everyone enjoy endgame content.
At the end of Ocllo journey all young players should have a runebook, blessed torch, beginner gear, spellbook, necrobook and any other essentials. Spellbook and necrobook can be empty
There is this kind of stuff available โ and more ๐ Itโs not just lying on the floor; it needs to be discovered and/or fought for ๐

you can cross the invis wall here and get to the bank
same invis wall is on the south side of the bank too - same length

Also a bonded horse could be nice for new players. That motivates a lot.
There is a quest a noble asking for transport to bucs den. I think almost all quests or missions should be inside ocllo
There are invisibile barriers in Ocllo and I'm trapped now lol. Cannot find a way out.
If possible could be nice making claiming lost pet for free could be nice in Ocllo for young players.

@low wadi I am struggling to put a vendor contract deed up on Occlo, tells me i can only place this at a housing plot.

Yes, thats not yet activated. I need to setup the rentals and get the application process started.

Regarding warrior and other bags you can purchase in Ocllo not sure if it is working as its intended. I got a warrior bag and gives either an axe, katana or spear (ring and bandages). Instead maybe could be nice to give a list of weapons that we can choose from.
I.e I started as fencer and could be nice if I can buy a robust kryss or any other fence weapon

healing is way too brutal sub 80, imo. Just non stop fails.
stop the fails, just reduce the healing done.
You can get a talisman to help with that
as a brand new player, this info isnt available to me when i log into occlo, i jsut get smashed to pieces by a skele, 60 healing and can fail 8 times in a row. Does not make any sense and will just anger players that cannot macro it to GM.
remove the fails, reduce the healing done so at least i get something for 8 seconds of my time.
keep the healing the same on the main map, sure. But it needs a massive tweak for occlo

No, of course not. It is a miniboss. You need to get a group.
90% of players wont get a chance to kill this if you make it group only.
Occlo is the one chance you have to get players to stick around and play the game - it needs to be welcoming, fun, and not annoying in any way
i got what i needed - now im on the big map, didnt get a chance to kill bosses on occlo, didnt get anything decent for killing 3hrs worth of mobs - a little gold, one Skull token (10?????). Not sure how to improve it tbh
but i can see why people go straight to the main map and play, even when brand new
Tamers cannot tame the panthers as the Orcs are killing them on respawn.
Panthers are no longer spawning on the map for tamers after they have been tamed then released and killed.
After taming few great spiders, releasing and killing them, I think they are not spawning anymore. I waited like 2 hours.

same thing is happening to panthers, once tamed, released and killed - no more spawning. I would presume this is for all creatures based on the 3 so far not working
a few /bugs i put in yesterday. Mobs do not cast, mobs do not aggro young toons, some mobs do not drop loot when killed.
also the mage store has an invis wall in it
I assume that the spawn is at maximum creatures. What type of animal spawns is random. Solution is to kill a few other animals to increase the chance of a panther.

how could it be at max when no one was on Occlo but me and Fundamental? And he was killing creatures? Surely that would leave room for creatures to spawn?

possible to modify my toon on Occlo so i can test this for you? I dont have a tamer or the skills to test this, would require some macro time, which im not really keen on.

I checked this quest. Altough it says 15 brown and 15 black bears actual quest asks 16 black bears and 10 brown bears.
