fixed those passives, don't really have any other rings/shields/gloves/helm that's any better. i'll keep an eye out
@dense remnant Most swords are not the route, but a katana with adapative is a great option since it lets you get throw speed from sentinel passives. It's a favorite pick from myself and others hardpushing corruption since throw speed is such a huge portion of your dps/clearing smoothness.

you always want endurance capped, increases to health increase endurance threshold, and it also applies if you take damage that puts you into the threshold (not just if you take damage while in the threshold). But yeah the 3rd ring is probably the best

Hey ya'll. I did a bit of searching through recent threads, and haven't quite found this question asked, so was wondering.
Is there a current preference for a first char between Necro and Beastmaster, if I want to play a summoner class? Something I'd use to gather up gear for other builds/characters.
Specifically, if one of them is less button-mashy, not having to constantly keep short term buffs up (4-5 seconds or something)
Necro if you want a more afk playstyle, Beastmaster minions all have active effects and some other buffs you have to keep up (Warcry, Frenzy totem)
Necro will usually have more minions, and these minions do all the job. Beastmaster has fewer companions and he participates more. Usually, of course

Will start a necro then, and then of course see how it goes. And will do my best not to try and follow a build guide, but actually try things out on my own, read into the skills/mechanics, etc.

yeah, just from that fact respeccing has very negligible cost. If something doesn't work, try something else.
I actually intentionally don't look at guides / other players builds at all.
For all I know, all my builds might be really bad, but because I don't know I can still have fun with them.
Bunch of reasons why it isn't, like in-combat stat differences through proccs, conditional effects from the skilltree (like being better against ignited enemies for example), debuffs on enemies (for example if you have very little crit chance because you crit via critical vulnerability, the tooltip will you show you barely an increase from crit multi even though its actually really good)

When I use Maul to cast Entangling Roots, it uses x2 the mana as rage. The tooltip makes it sound like it should only consume x1 the cost. Is it bugged or is the description wrong?
yeah, any conditional effectcan't be shown on the tooltip since the tooltip can't know whether the condition is met. Crits are conditional.
does the item rarity in monolith affect the stage-reward as well or only monster drops?

Just the drops from mobs in the monolith. When you exit it to collect your reward you're no-longer in the mono so unaffected by any modifiers (you can get t7 exalts from a lvl 55 mono reward chest if you character level is above 90)..

Does life leech apply to pre-reduction or post-reduction damage? (so if I attack for 100 but the enemy only loses 10 hp, and I have 10% leech, will I get 10 or 1 hp back?)
Should be post-reduction since it leeches the damage you deal. And hey Toma 👋
In addition to that, most mobs don't have resists or armour though they do have a level-based general damage reduction which can't be mitigated or avoided (with the possible exception of reflect/thorns), so the difference between pre- & post-mitigated damage is usually zero.
Or at least not worth thinking about since you can't do anything about it

Kinda? I'd assume it's to keep player damage / enemy hp inflation under control. You know something's going very wrong if you have to contract your damage numbers & add SI prefixes (b for billion, etc), a'la D3....

It's also to try to keep mechanics that scale with player damage, such as leech, a bit more under control, and avoid mechanics that scale inversely with monster health, such as freeze, falling off so hard. We haven't fulfilled these goals completely, but without this scaling damage reduction the situation would be about 6 times worse.

Hey all, so, I've not played for the last several months, and, today, I update the game and try to play, but, any time I try to play with my lvl 70 character, the game freezes up when I click "travel" on any map. Has anyone else seen/heard of something like this?
Other lower level characters seem to be working fine.
how important is poison res? would it be better to have another health affix over capping poison res?
You can sacrifice some res to get more defense layers (health, endurance, block, dodge, etc) instead of over capping them in this game
i've done whole campaign as a druid and reached 99 level with a poison as the only resist un-capped but keep in mind duid has a tons of leech
poison has just slow drain compared to other ailments so you have a time to not die instantly

For me once all played never touched.

What would be the best way to farm for unique helmets? I've been doing black sun for that squirrel helmet at 500 corruption for like 1 week, haven't seen a single one, starting to lose it XD. Maybe the new dungeons would help more? Any tips?? 🤔
farming the appropriate unique node in monoliths is the fastest way

You could try throwing some runes of ascension on helmets in addition to that / take runes nodes if they're on the way for a chance at ascension runes.
Also, the starting modifiers for dungeons rotate daily, so if there ever is a "boss drops a unique helmet" day, that might be good to farm then.
It's worth using if you don't plan on building crit anyway. It is meant to make crit less mandatory, which is a good thing in my opinion.

do you just gotta use only fire then only cold for a bit and repeat?
Pick one element (lets say cold) for your main damage. Use a cold spell, then use a fire spell. Deal your damage with cold, gaining up to 90% more damage over the next 9 seconds. Then, you gain the cold overload. Immediately afterwards, you gain the fire overload, which removes the cold overload. Then, you deal your normal damage for 10 seconds. Afterwards, the cooldowns end and you start over at the beginning.
The important part is just to gain the first stack of cold infusion before you start gaining fire infusion, because the fire overload will remove the cold overload.
So tl;dr: Cast a spell of your main element, then immediately after, cast a spell of the other scales element. Then you can just keep using your main element and ignore the other.

Am I correct in thinking there is not enough block chance available to get to 100% block outside of using bulwark of the last abyss, which drains your hp?

I've been thinking about sigils, but even with 25 seconds duration it seems hard to keep 5 sigils up. They all have their own timer right? I can't just cast it once every 25 seconds to refresh the 5 stacks?
yeah but like, it's kinda tough from there. at most 5+4% from relic, 2x4% from rings, 12% from tree. puts you at 88%.
I do think sigils are the best option if I dont wanna play warpath, just not sure if I can afford the mana

Most people use Volatile to cheat the mana cost. You can get decent uptime with the node that gives % chance to get a sigil on kill too

You could test it by equipping one of the low life items (Exsanguinous/Last Steps of the Living) & see what happens to your crit chance in your character screen.

is mana regen worth it (or above a certain % worth it?) i can grab 38% by spending 10passives and equipping a chronolabe catalyst. 10 passive points seems expensive to boost 20% regen. think i would really feel the effect of 38%? (necro summon build)
your best shot is to find out. mana needs to be solved one way or another. if this vastly increases your damage uptime / consistency, it could be worth

You can see your current mana regeneration in the character panel - I believe base regeneration is 8 mana per second

Do any of you use an ultrawide monitor but a lower resolution? I do it for the sake of the frames but the game constantly goes back to 2560x1080 from 1920, when I change zones. Anyone know this issue?

How's the state of the game currently? I am considering picking it up. Long-time Grim Dawn playtester here, looking for something else to enjoy some time with. Everyone happy? Favorite aspects of the game? Complaints? (I read something about end-game key drop rates being low)
I just started a few days ago, so not much of an opinion.
But I'm enjoying it so far 🙂 Smooth gameplay, fun skills, lots of options but not TOO overwhelming
Have yet to REALLY settle on a build, have re-rolled like 3-4 and haven't finished the campaign yet^^
I was in this phase when I started, for me it’s a good problem to have multiple builds/classes to want to be playing
I recommend picking one that can do empowered monoliths easy, this opens up a ton of exalteds, dungeon keys, and uniques hopefully some with good LP
I did that for a week or two and it set me up for future fun very well, get a stash full of goodies and options
There was someone with this issue on the forums a while back... If I recall, they had to set their windows resolution to 1920x1080, start the game, set it in-game to 1920x1080 and then close LE and reset Windows back to 2560x1080 - it seemed to "fix" the issue for them on subsequent LE runs. They also had to change the Window mode to see which version worked for them (fullscreen vs windowed vs borderless)... (note: GPU driver update & game file verification just in case). If none of that works, you could try playing LE with the standalone version and force the resolution - see https://docs.unity3d.com/2019.4/Documentation/Manual/PlayerCommandLineArguments.html

rogue can very easily, and yes, there's no benefit to going over 100%
Unless of course you're running something like Ignivar's Head 
yeah 100% crit chance isn't super difficult to get to
but theres no specific like 'if at 105% crit chance, you have 5% chance to do a double-mega crit', it will only impact items/passives/things that scale or something equivalent based on crit chance

I was thinking of reporting it as a bug because I feel its the autotargeting which is needed for the enemy/minion version that is messing with the on ground version. Just wasn't sure if its been discussed before
I'm not sure it's a bug per se, since it's doing what it's supposed to do, you cast it on the ground & whenever a mob is nearby it then moves to the mob. It's definitely feedback though, so create a thread on the forum for it.

The wording implies it should not go to an enemy but stay in place. The node specifically says in the bottom "remains on ground".

From the skill description: 'You may cast Infernal Shade on a ground location without a target in range'
I do think what you want should be how it works, but its not a bug. The skill specifies that its only if theres not a target in range.

I'm under the running assumption that channels are affected but the mana cost doesn't increase.
Cast speed only affects how fast the channel starts and does nothing to mana cost/sec. Attack speed scales how many hits channeled melee/bow abilities do and does not affect mana cost/sec

unless the mod has a subtext to say its actually reduced, it would actually be like taking ~93% less bonus damage taken from critical strikes (0.3 x 0.23)
Except they're the same stat so they're additive with each other (capped at 100%).
What you're describing would be how the Primalist's Berserker & Aspect of the Boar nodes work.

if you have two of the affix, they add together, because theres two of them

its because LE’s tooltip convention, borrowed from PoE, is that “increased”/“decreased” implies additive and “more”/“less” implies multiplicative. So yes it should go to the relevant channel because it looks like an error
In terms of per-spellcast effects, if ele nova is turned into a channeled ability, the only per-spellcast activation of ele nova is when the channel is initiated, correct?
It's kinda not, since it's multiplying the bonus damage you take by 1-x% where x is your "less bonus damage taken from crits". If it were reduced, then you'd need >100% based on how much crit multi you've given the mobs by the mono modifiers you've picked.
If, for example, the mobs have 300% crit multi, then they get 200% "bonus damage". So the 100% less bonus damage from crits would have the effect -> 200% * (1 - 100%) = 200% * ( 0 ) = 0% "bonus damage". If it were reduced, then it'd be 200% - 100% = 100% bonus damage (so you'd take double the damage of a normal hit). Since that stat works as the first example, it's a more/less modifier, not an increased/reduced modifier.

@balmy current The issue those people have is simply that the terminology is borrowed from poe but doesn't behave the same as in poe in some cases. Which I don't see a problem with because this isn't poe, just saying.

defensively the terminology for this stat is a fucking mess
the way it works in PoE is additively, so if you get 37% + 40% + 20% "reduced extra damage taken" from critical strikes, you would be taking 97% less extra dmg from any crit, regardless of the multiplier (400% > 109%, 200% > 103%)
the wording in LE implies that if you get 37 + 40 + 20% "Less bonus damage taken" from critical strikes, you would only have 70% less extra dmg from crits (400% > 190%, 200% > 130%)

Is there some sort of easier and better way of farming for Drelkor's Compass or Runes of Ascendance?
For runes of ascendance or glyphs of despair I've found the lightless arbor to be pretty good. One of the options there is "add a glyph of despair to every chest" or "add a rune of ascendance to every chest". So you can get 6 of them that way since you can get 6 chests.

That's not additive, that's multiplicative. If it were additive, you'd be adding the modifiers together then applying them, rather than applying them separately (as more damage modifiers are handled in PoE).

I mean has anyone actually tested it and proved it. literally 0.8.5 is the first time it matters. There was not two sources of less damage of bonus damage of crits till then
As far as I can tell it would be very hard/annoying to test, so anyone claiming that its 100% for certain additive seems suspect since they have tested it since the patch dropped and confirmed it? or are just assuming it works a certain way.

the floor dot is a gear check mechanic, not a 'do you have a mitigation ability' mechanic
but if you have mitigation, you can circumvent the gear check

Depends how many stacks you've got on you, but 25% pen by itself is always going to be 25% more damage. If you've got any poison stacks, it'll be a less (10 stacks = 20% shred so you'd go from taking 120% of the damage to 145% = 21% more).

multiplayer only build, just having it ready for when MP drops. So I guess the question is 2 fold. Which one should I play before MP, and which should I play after MP drops

if we had multiplayer right now, people would be pushing practically infinity in arena together
infinite taunt, stuns, etc...
so i wouldnt worry about theorycrafting support builds etc... right now (and if you do, just make a decoy build, or rather, any build with decoy and smoke bomb)
and then i'll likely not have to redo it from scratch and it'll be much more convenient to have the rough scratch i have, at the very least becoming more familiar with the overall concept and so when patch notes change things I will understand it more, and actually looking at those heal numbers I'm almost certain they will change it, it looks really op, rough estimate of like 10000 heals per second, from ?7 sources. something around this
I played a Decoy/Smokebomb toon, abandoned it at 85 though. it didn't make the list of potential things I might main
i would say that not having holy aura in a planned support build is missing some big value
Yeah, it's super depressing to farm for build-enabling idols on the actual character/build that needs them.
If you want to stick to the character, either play with a different primary skill that doesn't utilize smite, or if you'd rather keep the hammerdin theme and gameplay, look around at pure hammer throw builds
(bleed hammerdin seems fairly popular).

is there a way to automatically cast Sigils of Hope only when one's effect expires?
the numlock trick autocasts it on cooldown which is way more frequent than it has to be, it ends up refreshing sigils every second or so and it eats up all my mana
i play warpath ignite paladin, and sigil does not look like i need it i just have a slot to specialize a skill in and i thought this might help with healing. I have warpath, lunge, smite and holy aura. (i use warpath proccing smite , i specced into smite healing so i use that mechanics as sustain)
Nope, you will have to cast them yourself or rely on the 5% on kill effect
dont think its worth it then, as the majority of my healing comes from Smite anyway.

volatile reversal seems good with void rifts incearing damage taken stuff
yeah VR is basically if you dont mind blinking around probably one of the most overpowered utility skills, for DoT it can double your damage or more, its nutty.
Hey there.... LE uses the Unity Game engine 2019.4 LTS version which doesnt support AMD FSR so I doubt you will get that working - at least not with any satisfactory results - I read somewhere that there is a driver level FSR (i.e. games dont have to support it directly) in the works but who knows.... Regarding the resolution... Not sure, you could set your desktop to that resolution before launching the game (that might work) or you could attempt to run the game with command line parameters to set the resolution (see https://docs.unity3d.com/2019.4/Documentation/Manual/PlayerCommandLineArguments.html) - No idea if any of that will work but it cant hurt to try.... One note on resolution tho.... odd resolutions can have unexpected side effects on the UI layout etc...
Can confirm, my resolution is a little weird and there's a couple (inconsequential) things that don't quite fit on the screen.
i just killed lagon and it turns out smite doesnt cast on him 😦 no healing
It does cast, his hitbox is just weird so the healing AoE won't catch you
i mean even if it casted on him i wasnt in smites range
even tho i maxed out its aoe

btw, for warpath ignite, in endgame its sceptre+shiled right? 100 fire pen on sceptre seems insanely op and shields are good defense. I think i only lose out some damage by having less percent of ignite and damage mods on an 1h weapon instead of a 2h?

Lagons hitbox is way down below the ledge generally out of range of most things... Its one of the reasons certain skills (and minions) have hassles with his fight. As a workaround, if you aim for the ledge just in front of him, you can usually get things to work after a fashion.... Devs know about his issues... Lagon definitely needs therapy....

There's a few different kinds of minions, they all play pretty differently. Nothing like "raise literally an enemy mob and make it fight for you" though afaik
That's good enough. I like raising enemy mobs of any kind and making them fight for me though, it's a classic
Technically Ice Beetles would be, but not really.
We have Skeletons, which are like Zombies in PoE.
We have Skeleton Mages, which are like Zombies in PoE but cast spells.
We have Volatile Zombies, which are like a bigger and less spammable Summon Raging Spirits.
We have Golems which are more like beefy tank minions than PoE Golems.
We have Wraiths, which are like Skeletons in PoE.
We have Abomination, which is like Reaper in PoE.
There's also Manifest Armor which is... interesting. And has quickly become one of my favorites.
It's more so for me not the function that in what makes something like Spectres cool, it's more so the customization at the fact you can just revive your favorite mob in the game that you'd think would work best for you
and you just build around it
I think you mean rez whichever is the strongest and do that until GGG guts it, then move on to the next strongest and wait until that one is gutted, rinse and repeat
I mean if it was up to me personally, I'd just buff weak spectres and leave the strong ones to be strong unless there are clear outliers because most people would rather just play with what they want and it just clear content just fine

Yeah no I am definitely not a fan of nerfing by popularity. Like I understand that it makes balancing the game a lot easier that way, but I do not like it whenever it just becomes "shuffle what's on your screen"

LE feels very much like this. As long as you aren't trying to smash together 5 skills with zero synergy, it can probably be viable (varying degrees of success depending on what you're doing, not everything can run super high corruption)

and on that note of study the game, I am not a fan of having to plan out your build outside of the game. As much as I can appreciate PoE for what it is, I don't enjoy having to use PoE builder just because none of the utilities needed to test a build in the game are non-existant. ARPG's that are loot-centric should (my opinion incoming) have an in-game DPS meter, a way to freely respec your build to try out different things as many times as needed, and other quality of life features that let you test and plan your build in the game
nope... leaving spellblade until they rework it some more.... used to be my favourite before it got nerfed (i understand why) but its not as fun imho right now... spellblade really needs some love... 😉
I wish Lich had a skill that I'd be interested in using. But the only thing I like is aura of decay and that's just not very good 😅
Respecs in LE cost gold (easy) and for skills they cost time (not a lot, just don't respec your skills and go right back into empowered monos probably, relevel them quickly then go in). We have dummies to test damage which are mostly accurate (mono mods affect it but aren't available outside monos to my knowledge). And as far as I know all info regarding skills and affixes and all that jazz is available inside the game so you don't have to consult 4 wiki pages to figure out one node. There is an external build tool for LE but it is not required (just expect to do a little math without it)
I just wish Acid Flask had more scaling, I want to play it as a main skill so bad D:
Fun fact: If you are level 100, exp tomes give an absurd amount of exp, so if you ever wanna respec to try something, farm a tome reward first and you get 3 tomes that each put your skills at instant level 20

There at least is a boss dummy at the arena so that's nice that's the only DPS I pay attention to
In my experience thats exactly what happens... perfectly fine up to empowered and then things tend to struggle very quickly... Havent tested the latest spellblade builds but every time I mess around with one, it just cannot compare to the other classes in terms of higher corruption & dungeons... obviously my opinion & skill level involved here... but compared to the godlike beast it used to be... just no fun for me now...

Eye of reen used to be the BiS for flamereave spellblade... I tried the jaspers one but it just seemed meh for me - maybe I didnt give it enough of a chance... Dont forget Shard of the Shattered Lance for cold version...

The added damage effect plus the fact that the only source of increased damage on its tree is a total of 40% unless you go for fire convert (which still lacks a lot of damage even then) just hurts a lot

firebrand (lightning or fire version) crit guaranteed node - that always used to be the best way with Eye of Reen... obvioulsy you need flat crit somewhere and you cannot get those on the Shattered weapons...

yeah but thats what I mean the conversion only works on base damage, so added damage from say ballista, or throwing phys in bladedancer etc, its all still phys. so if you try and get good sources of throwing damage its gonna be all over in terms of damage type, umbral blades, javelin both convert added damage as well, which at this point feels mandatory for throwing

Hey all, whilst on a loading screen, i got a BSOD (memory management - looks like my ram could be on its way out!) however when i logged back in, the character i was playing has been deleted/removed. i have checked teh game is synced and have verified files and relogged a few times. Would this character be saved in local files anywhere/any way to get my character back? (should i post as forum ticket request?)
The characters are all saved locally, so you can recover the temp/backup version. C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves
What happend is likely the save file got corrupted when being accessed when you BSOD'd.
I tried making the temp the main file, and then the other way round to see if it would read either, no success. (character Beta 4 - assumed this was my latest character, as date stamp had it accessed today, i have 4 chara's, this was latest one i made)
Both the files are blank with no data other than "Epoch" when opened in notepad

Sooo... lets say I kinda suck at this game, so my beastmaster doesn't have the DPS to get to empowered monos, and my perma-abomination necro gets one-shot way too much.
What build could I try, that is tanky in plain 100-150 corruption empowered monos to farm me some of the rare uniques (either a squirrel helm for my beastmaster, or perhaps a bastion shield for my necro), and is preferably a 1-2 button build? 🙂
perhaps a druid of some kind? or perhaps the VK autobomber? 😮
and the marksman is tanky?^^ Cause atm, I hate doing beacons/arenas, cause the necro gets swarmed and dies.

Frostbite requires much more uniques to get the ball rolling, and slots you definitely want LP on like boots. The classes that have passive that synergies with bleed can get going with just rares. Mage being the class that has the least bleed support.
Yeah, I tried frostbite druid and the playstyle itself felt really good, warcry applying 15 frostbite in a huge area is amazing for clear

Intuition would say yes, but the drop rate simulator from tunklab says no
(because it drops exactly half as much exsanguinous as other no reroll uniques, whereas if exsanguinous could reroll into itself it would effectively drop ~66% as much)

if you roll 50k rewards from unique or set shield echoes, the only 3 below 10% are ones that have a reroll chance
and everything else is slighly above 10%, because theres 12 total shields
there'll be some level of variance, but if you just spammed that button long enough, eventually the difference between them wouldnt be like 0.2%, but would get closer to 0.02%

Not quite. When the game decides to drop a specific unique, the reroll chance is the chance that the game will #### you over & not drop said unique. The reroll always happens. It doesn't mean that it initially chooses to drop a Bastion then decides to give you a different ###ier unique.

That doesn't really make sense though. The reroll chance is a chance. Either it decides to reroll, or decides not to reroll. You would get the unique it chose if it decides not to reroll regardless of if it can reroll to the same unique again.

Yes, it's the chance to not get the unique you want, not the chance for the reroll to happen, just like the "effective level for LP" isn't an actual level, it's just the devs using their own internal nomenclature which makes sense to them (& them alone)
An item drops for you. The game rolls the rarity & decides that it's going to be a unique. You're in a lvl 50 zone so it initially decides to give you a Bastion, then it rolls again (the reroll "chance") & you failed the reroll (88%) & the game decides to give you a t1 Guardian's Wooden Shield ...
If you'd "won" the reroll you'd have gotten a Bastion.

They influence random unique drops from regular enemies, but not boss specific unique drops.

Oddball one but, anyone ever try can measure/calculate armor shred stacks and effect? Basically is getting 10 armor shred stacks on average, is 100% shred effect for a chest slot seem worth? Build is lightning smite hammers, going to cross post in #🔱┃sentinel

Is 7.7% worth losing 66 mana? that's for you to decide. Also depends on how important the crit chance on the old base is, if the crit avoidance is valuable to you, and if the poison res is useful

I think I understand what this was about now. You were talking about using the shred calc on tunklab, while they were talking about using the actual armor formula to calculate the increased damage taken (hence inputting the -1000 armor from the 10 shred stacks into the formula)

Furthermore, given the size of the range and interquartile range, we can see there is significant variability in the damage outcomes. Thus any differences between the No Charge group and the 0.5s Charge group would be due to variability. This can also be seen by the medians of these two groups being within 1 standard deviation of each other.
Finally, with the 1 second group, while there is significant variability in the damage outcomes, there is no overlap whatsoever, so we can say there is very likely a difference. In fact, the median is ~2 times that over the 0.5s Charge and No Charge medians, as expected from a +100% More Damage multiplier after 1 second charge.
To minimise sampling error, I re-spec'd into Puncture on a low-level character, only spec'd into the charging node (and the nodes required for that), and made sure no other abilities, passives or items provided buffs by waiting out buff timers and not recording results where "every third attack does bonus damage". I also ignored all crits.

On an offline character? Probably not.
Things might be more strict in the online environment once that happens, but right now, you can already easily edit your save files, so there's not much point in prosecuting automation, because other than for testing things like this, there's no real reason to automate things in the first place.

Quick question about bastion of honour. It gives guaranteed block against nearby enemies but also a 25% chance to block. Does this work like other instances of chance in this game? Like blocking once all the time with a 25% chance to block again?
I assume it's more 25% chance from OUTSIDE of the "nearby" circle
block is more akin to crit chance, 100% is the best you'll have. Unlike DOTs, where more than 100% will apply another dot.

All DoTs have their own base damage but inherit any relevant modifiers from the applying skill (bearing in mind that ailments are ailments, not spells, melee, etc)

Not really unless you are Sentinel class. Rogues are best with Poison and Bleed.

Playing Spriggan Cold Spirt Thorns DOT with frostbite - have the 24% cold penetration from druid tree and the 32% from Branch Storm node - hunting now blessing from winter of ages - Grand Rage of Winter - +(25-50)% Chance to Shred Cold Resistance on Hit - right now I have the apply frostbite on hit with 97% - wondering what would be better?!

Not sure if this is the "right" place to ask, but someone can tell which "video settings" are more heavy on the CPU rather than on the GPU? Trying to find a balance in special for my laptop since the gpu seems to be doing well but cpu is taking quite a hit and even if is not close to a dangerous "zone" i would like to see if i can reduce some settings that removes some stress from the CPU that doesn't impact much the overall visuals of the game. Suggestions?
LE is generally more CPU-heavy than most games as all of the AI, procs, etc is done by your pc so your build can have a somewhat larger impact on how much work your CPU has to do than compared to most games.
Yes, i've noticed that on every machine, but what i was asking is which settings can reduce in a substantial way the usage? on Desktop its super smooth but i know that comparing cpus/gpus from desktops/laptops aren't exactly the same as there is differences between the build, temp, power, etc... so i guess i will need to test each, at least gain 10-15fps would be a good result for my laptop as the fps dives on huge crowds and all the effects can make the fps go from 70's(avg) to 14's (1%low) 🤔 also having a mage with fullblown army of summons ain't helping much either lol 😂

if skill specific is okay, then harvest has self bleed in its tree as well iirc.
A lot of the CPU hits have nothing to do with video settings, it has to do with the calculations involved in all the hits and damage happening, which is why it scales up with more targets. So you may not be able to improve much. Does your laptop have an actual video card?
yes it has a dedicated gpu rtx 3600 at least in name since its a laptop variant with all the limitations... :/ so i guess i can't do much to improve if not waiting for performance patches !?
Well with a 3600 you should be getting better performance but it's likely it's to do with how the laptop is configured, possibly throttling itself due to power consumption and/or heat
the gpu part is working fine, temps are fine and performing for what is expected i tried with all the settings and seems like gpu didn't even cared about it, so it is on the cpu that being hammered too hard and temp is around 77-78c (MAX) but cpu usage seems to peak very often all the sudden... hence my original question "if was any setting that could reduce the usage/load" on the cpu. my gpu is like watching no sweat "hey man, what is that all about?" 😂 Honestly i've other heavy games cpu wise and i don't get this issue, i guess it has to do with the game engine or how the game is right now, but i understand that the game still in development so i'm not making a big deal out of it. But i guess i will use my last trick........ TURN EVERY RGB LIGHTS ON TO ACTIVATE THE SECRET POWER OF THE LAPTOP !!! /jk 🤣
Difficult to discuss/debug/troubleshoot performance here on discord because there are so many possibilities and its hard to post hardware details etc (the forum would be better), but some quick ideas: Check framerate limits - this makes a big difference in limiting fps spike magnitude (i.e. if you limit fps to 60fps, you might get an fps drop of 20fps, vs leaving it on unlimited fps and getting 50-60fps spikes). On laptops, make 100% sure there is no dynamic performance mode enabled - maximum performance should be enabled when playing - if not, this can cause a lot of very odd behaviour with performance in LE. On a similar note, if your laptop has dual graphics, make 100% sure that the game process ONLY ever uses the 3060 GPU (you can set this at a driver level or in Windows) and that any "special sauce" apps that came with the laptop dont try and do things while playing. Lots of other potential things but as I said, hard to discuss here... Obviously your specific hardware/game state/known performance hog situations etc will affect the performance or expectations of what performance you "should be" getting.

If I wanna level a toon, do I have to play the campaign all over again? Or is there another way to level faster?
