when we have a node that's about time rot all time rot's apllied, even trough other skills, will be affected?
Nodes in any skill tree only apply to that skill unless otherwise explicitly stated.
This buffs any time rot applied by anomaly but only time rot applied by anomaly. So if you had a passive or item or idol that gave time rot chance, it would be affected by this when using anomaly only.

There's no way to get actual chances for LP. The higher the Effective level for LP, the less chance is to roll LP. Reroll chance means the chance to reroll unique when game engine generates a unique item, so the higher this chance, the rarer is the unique.

Increased ignite effect is on many sentinel gear too
Only modifiers which state they apply to minions, or attributes stated on the minion's tooltip will scale minions (outside of case examples such as the Storm Crow's tree where it can gain some of your lightning damage bonuses)

what does glyph of order do?
it keeps the same level of roll for the affix, say for example you have T1 Health and it can roll between 5 and 15 and your roll is 15 (the max) by using glyph of order it will upgrade it to T2 and the T2 roll will be maxed as well

hi everyone, ive returned after a longer absence of LE (imo around 8.0? 8.1? something like that). and im getting back into it (legendary potential and so on) ive found multiple Rune of Ascendance by now and im wondering what would be the best item to use them for
currently im playing fireball mage, but starting to build ice as well
a BIS mage unique or strong general item? any pointers?

I don't know your specific build, but there would be 3 or 4 uniques that come to my mind, that could be useful.
Cinder Song (very good wand early on, but will become worse in endgame due to low adaptive spell dmg)
Prism Wraps Very common unique, but hard to get with LP. Very endgame viable though because mage has a hard time getting high amounts of leech
Tome Of Elements Also very common, but also a good source of leech
Orian's Eye very rare, but good defensive stats and almost al the maximum mana you need to reach the 300 mana threshold for idols.
The only uniques were it would be worth using RoA for would probably be Prism Wraps or Orian's Eye.

Do the Orobyss Echo Islands that are the farthest away from the Mono starting point... they have the biggest Corruption increases...

This is bonus corruption based on the difference between your highest corruption timeline (among All timelines) and the current corruption of the timeline you are in.
It's meant to be a catchup mechanic
For example if you have one timeline at 400 corruption and you start pushing corruption in a fresh timeline it will take you roughly 2-3 shade kills to get to 300/350 corruption

Can someone explain me how a DOT skill's (such as Black Hole) "added damage scaling" is relevant to the damage we are dealing?
For example, Black Hole has an Added Damage Scaling of 38%. How is this affecting our damage outcome considering it is not a "hit"?

If you add any flat spell damage (e.g. adaptive spell damage or +X Cold Spell Damage) this flat damage will increase the damage of the ability, respecting it damage effectiveness
Adding any type of damage to an ability, will work even if its not a hit
Skill that are similar to this, in the sense, that they do not have any inherent hits are Wandering Spirits or Spirit Plague

the early game is mostly forgiving enough that you should be fine with whatever you think will be fun as long as you're putting a little bit of thought into how your skills/gear work
and then later every class is viable and you can pretty easily respec
so just do whatever

cold damage over time is a niche ability that generally comes from frostbite stacking
its possible but not really an early game build
You can build Static Orb to apply Frostbite (cold DoT)
If you're to the west of the waypoint, that's not the entrance to Champion's Gate, that's the exit from Soulfire Bastion. Try going north from the waypoint instead.

I am new to the game so not sure what builds are realistic or not
because most ARPGs top recommended builds require a build enabling legendary / unique item or something unrealistic

did i miss a change for the icebowrouge? i am losing mana while channeling in meleerange...didnt had this problem before the patch. i did read the patchnotes but cant find anythign that could explain this problem
Attack speed was double dipping, the way you most likely sustained mana was through the mana on hit in flurry
so you are attacking slower most likely which means less mana gain, but the cost of channeling is set per second regardless of your speed.

I would recommend building more for mana recovery though as the hotfix is not meant to make it as easy to maintain as it was before. The double dipping attack speed was not intended or balanced around.

attack speed had a bugfix sorry, its not a "nerf" but its efficacy went down
so you wont be able to play it the same as you did before the patch, because the way you generally sustained mana is through that attack speed.
This means bowmage also is less powerful potentially becuase it procs less because it attacks slower. etc etc.
Flurry costs zero mana, why would sustaining mana even matter?

is there a guide for dungeons somewhere? ive just returned after a longer break and didnt even run the very first dungeon. like how to unlock, what they drop, if you should run them over monoliths and so on
Not yet that I know of.... The Temporal Sanctum has been around so you may be able to find a youtube vid or two on it.... The Lightless Arbour & Soulfire Bastion are less than 24hours old.... everyone is still discovering things... 😉 The forum posts from the last week will have the basic info on the new ones.
I got 43% Void Damage increase or 23% Crit Strike Multiplier bare in mind this is a gaurentee crit build so I'll always be able to crit which one gives me more damage?

The crit multi one is ever so slightly better (6.7% incremental v 6.2% for the void damage) assuming you always crit.
If your effective crit chance is under ~92% (ish) then the void damage one is better

Exalted boots are very rare, especially exalted movespeed ones. So a lot of people use them for that, you can use it to dupe good sword so you can dual wield two really good swords

you can clear the echo quests only once. so no farming only quest 1. you have to do quest 1 - 2 -3 - 1 -2 -3 and so on. but you can farm a monolith endless and just dont do the quests

No, they explicitly don't want the loot filter to filter by FP or LP.
They want the filter to cut down on the amount of crap that you see but that you still have to make some decisions on what to use.

I believe the design philosophy for dungeons is that they aren't supposed to be played on your 1st character, as they skip portions of the story. Rather something you put in your stash for alts

Level 100 takes a long time. Probably not.
Lightless Arbor keys start dropping around level 25, Soulfire Bastion keys start dropping around level 47, and Temporal Sanctum keys start dropping around level 54. All have a higher drop rate at higher levels, and at higher corruption in the monolith.
Hey, so I'm farming black sun for squirrel head, but I can't seem to get above 50 corruption. Is that the limit in black sun? All nodes either reset or -4 corruption

Normal monoliths are capped at 50, you need to go to empowered to get greater then 50, and it starts at 100.

Arena requires keys and some areas are only accessible in certain timelines
The arena is not really "endgame" either
the monolith of fate is the actual endgame and you have access at End of Time
That isn't the entrance to Champion's Gate it's the one way exit from the Soulfire Bastion dungeon. The Champion's Gate entrance can be found by going north from the waypoint (it's the other door icon near the top of your screenshot).

Much of a muchness really very similar... would depend on what is more useful to your build / res / endurance / block effectiveness needs.... Sealing affixes is REALLY hard after T1/T2... in all the times I have tried I dont think I have even affixed a T3, let alone a T4... Got a T3 seal from the Soul Gambler yesterday but never managed one on my own. I have taken to sealing affixes like +skill & 100% potion ailment clearing affixes because those are useful even at T1 level (almost guaranteed seal).
i got t4 sealed ele res a few days ago on an exalted LGOB shield, its doable but gl lol

What's the point of this? If it puts your roar on cooldown, isn't that pretty much the same as just casting it yourself?
The point is to have one less button to press, I suppose. It's good if you don't have hotbar space for it.

@static matrix You're probably better off just highlighting/filtering for your build's idols instead of grabbing lots of idols you probably won't actually use (outside maybe some specific cases, like max rolled double life 1x2 idols).

Yeah, more corruption give monsters more health and damage, but also raises loot rarity/quantity.
You're better off waiting till empowered to farm for that though, as you can't scale corruption in regular monos.

Well you never worry about sealed affixes. It's a gamble on any item and it's certainly not going to give you such a power boost that you should worry about it much.

T6 exalts start at area level 55 afaik, t7 at area level 90

nope it works even against 1 shots
as do most mechanics like that, so if you were also a primalist who had "25% less damage taken on low life" even if you have 1k hp and took a 1k hit, it would reduce all damage past 35% of your hp bar by 25%

in terms of crafting these boots further all you can do is reroll implicit/explicits if you want to gamble on better rolls there
since t5 is the highest craftable tier
the next substantial improvement would be a pair with one or more exalted affixes like you suggested

t4 is the highest tier you can seal in the crafting window but your odds of sealing go down as the tier of the affix goes up which means t4 seals are relatively uncommon

The second.
For 3 seconds after a meteor cast, you recover 45% of the mana you spend on anything. If you cast another meteor within that 3 seconds, it just resets the timer, it doesn't double up.

"nearby" is roughly the size of the circle around the training dummy at the end of time.
It should be the former, if your last meteor cost 100 mana, you'd recover 45 mana over the next 3s unless you cast meteor again during that time when it'd "loose" any remaining amount to be recovered from the first cast & start recovering for the second.

exalted item can only be found randomly on all timeline or can farm at certain timeline like unique item?
i wont worry about that, coz u will have many mono to be done repeat n repeat
There is no target farming exalts except in the case of the sanctum which has bonuses to drops of particular item types, but it is marginal.
sad, make it very hard to find certain item with certain affix
with higher corruption, will unique item from boss have chance to have higher legendary potential or also totally random

hey guys, I have a staff with a free prefix. When I craft "Critical Strike Chance" on it, will it apply to spells? Or do I need specifically "Spell critical strike chance" for that?

I can't speak to the Soul Bastion, since I haven't gotten one, but you can definitely get Lightless Arbor keys on characters created before this patch

New dungeon key drop rate (soul bastion especially) feels pretty low. Easier to get them in empowered, but still blech
The keys are equally available to all characters. There is, however, currently a bug that means that monolith bosses only drop temporal sanctum keys, when they should be dropping random dungeon keys. That will be fixed in 0.8.5b which will be releasing shortly.

Farming monoliths - especially the gold reward ones, can give decent amounts of gold - havent specifically counted but 20k per echo isnt impossible at higher corruption..... Also... if you dont like arena, then selling Arena keys for 6500 (if I recall the value correctly) is also a nice easy way to make money because plain Arena keys drop quite often... definitely do not attempt to make money selling gear... thats a loss making enterprise...

Hey guys, I've been playing side by side with a friend, and we got to Heobora. Now though, whenever he tries to exit Heobora, either direction(including the one we came form) he hard crashes the game. We've tried updating his drivers, restarting, lowering all gfx to minimal, no dice.

No, its well known that there are performance issues, they're always being worked on, and it varies from computer to computer -- I also have a 3070 and a 5800x -- and it runs great
Optimization definitely needs to happen, especially when you're dealing with a boatload of minions or totems, or Wengari Shaman
Most of the time, I don't have issues. But if I what I noted above, and/or the game has been open for a particularly long time (multiple hours), performance takes a hit. A few other things can do it, too, but those are the big ones

Not all of them, you get some points based on your character level (up to 10 points at level 80+) and you have to re-level the skill for the rest.

they’re just placed partway through the story because alt accounts can also use them to skip portions of the story by entering with keys they got in the endgame on the first account
Ah. In the dev notes leading up to release they said "they're in the game as something you can find and do while doing the story", so I expected that.
Just a note, at that level it takes about 10 minutes or so to get all of them back, and more like 1-3 to get to 18ish. It's a very small amount of friction which gets lower the higher the content you're doing

I believe it would convert only minion critical multi as that's the only kind to affect Mani if it does affect it at all. It wont convert from 'melee' or 'spell' specific ones from my testing it on my person.

i wanted to do a MA build with the new Torkefin Sword, since you can easily get 500+ phys res on your Manifested Armor, but with the nerf i think its considerably worse. but i still want to try a bleed build with it, so now im trying to find something else

It's not possible. They pen from your cap of 75% so you can't counteract it. The only argument for overcapping is if you want to push to 100% res so that you are immune to "Marked for Death" curse which is -25% res

Yes, some are much rarer than others.

you can setup your loot filter to highlight items that have specific affix rolls like that on them. So for example change anything that has +n to spriggan form to be bright pink.
Then you can destroy those items in the crafting window with the rune of shattering and you're able to collect much more of those shards that way.

hmm, I must just not have enough aggregate data on my account so far. Some feel much rarer for the rogue than others (ie some I have 50+ of other I am struggling to get 10)
Yeah, that's what I mean by their drop rate feeling "spikey", some you won't see for a long time & others you'll have a reasonable amount of.

do dungeons scale with your level? I'm level 64 and have soulfire bastion and lightless arbor keys. And should I just do them or save them?
dungeons come in multiple tiers with higher tiers being higher level than lower tiers
they don't scale to match your level though they just are whatever level the tier is
don't know the bastion and arbor tier levels off the top of my head by the third dungeon (temporal sanctum) goes level 55 -> level 80 -> level 95 -> level 100 for example

Res is less important then CSA and health for empowered
Res is useful get it when you can in large values, but skipping say hybrid health even t2 for a t4 res is going to make you less survivable overall
Health helps you keep from dying against all damage, where as resistance only saves you from a singular damage type, this makes health some of the most useful defensive affixes
The resistance penalty is set up in a manner that having a little bit of resistance is good enough, trying to max it out at the cost of other defenses will hurt you in the long run.
As a mage you can get a large chunk of element resistance in sorc and spending 6 points in spellblade.
Okay I guess poe corrupted me in that aspect, I focused mainly on capping res with health as a secondary.
While also trying to keep 300+ mana but it’s hard to do all that without running out of forging potential.
Res isn't as mandatory as it is in PoE. In LE, being 1% undercapped means you take 1% more damage, compared to 4% in PoE
It's still good to have, but you're not punished as much if you're not capped
Yeah if you run around with 0 res in end game you only take 1.75x the damage of being capped, that means capping res reduces damage by about 43%, nothing to scoff at, but getting health affixes can easily double your health which is more EHP not to mention when you consider that health is more effective thanks to endurance
But the trade of is that higher hp makes leech & other forms of sustain less effective since it takes longer to leech/regen/etc back to full.

Hi, I'm a diablo 3 player and really like this game. But I have trouble understanding the loot. I don't really understand how to see if an item improves my (minions) DPS or which stats to go for and when another item is better 😅

Have you read the game guide in game
it will cover the basics of how the game scaling works, if not, try reading that it can help. otherwise minions are annoying because their stats are hidden. You want to get minion damage, and whatever the attribute the scale off of on gear. For example for necromancers a good baseline is just getting Intelligence and minion damage as prefixes for damage.
Big thing to note, with some exception, stats that effect you do not effect your minions. They need specific gear affixes, both offensively and defensively. Depending on the minion and build type, this may mean going for minion damage over time, or for crit
Worth looking up a few build guides to grab their gear planners and see what kind of stats they focus on

For minions it really does come down to experience to a degree imo. You will never be able to see a direct dps of a minion like a hit skill. So you need to understand what stats buff your minions and then its just "bigger number better"

I think the closest thing to Righteous fire, insofar as it also damages you, is Aura of Decay.
Mage also has access to ways to proc Fire Aura, which looks more like RF, but mechanically is played differently
Then there is lots of stuff that fills a similar niche of "DoT aura that you walk around with" Locust swarm just got buffed and seems very RF like currently

I think it can be played as a main ability but it has some problems. if I recall correctly the reason its not so popular these days is because the poison damage it inflicts back to you is scaled by your own damage, unlike RF. so if you scale the poison to kill enemies you also kill yourself harder
its not very popular rn, but I dont know much about it so im sure you could make it work if you really wanted to. I think if you just want the aoe death cloud thing there is much better options rn.

Why does umbral blades have the little fire pip, indicating that it can gain the fire tag, if it can't? The fire node Explosive Blades adds a half-fire subskill but the node doesn't add the tag to the main skill. Are there any other skills that have this behavior?
It makes sense since it adds a subskill which has the fire tag, since it's another skill within the skill the main skill shouldn't gain the tag
@carmine palm Just strange that the little element pip is there but you can't gain the tag, I don't know of any other skills that have the pip in the skills screen that only refers to a subskill

and the dps calcs for the tooltip arent 100% accurate

No. Smite hammderdin is stronger but it takes way more investment

Lightless Arbor is for big loot explosion when you have gold to spend, and Soulfire Bastion is... kinda bad
What I like about soulfire bastion is that you can go in without needing anything external. Sanctum needs uniques and exalteds, Arbor needs gold. The bastion provides no matter what. That feels good.to me.

After 5000 it really gets very flat
Depends a lil if you have armor shred effect but reaching the 15+ on a boss fast is usually very worth it for a hit build

I found that for me personally the true end-game started on empowered Monol-system where enemies are buffed as hell and you can buff them even more for increased reward (rarity). This is the place to farm content and hunt for exalted items to make ultra high legendary items. Then (for my personal experience) the most dangerous evil to face is Julra T4-T5 in sanctum. I believe that there are not so many people that can farm her on this level of difficulty. This makes LE really good balanced ARPG for me.

holding alt on the node that gives you fissure won't tell you, but holding alt on the nodes that buff fissure does tell you

So, i'm building VoidKnight Warpath, so far so great, but i noticed that my main skill (warpath), while i'm still the damage its 9k, but when i'm channeling, while i'm using, my damage goes to half of this, 4,5k ... Why this is happening?

Health Regeneration is not healing, and if the Spriggan Companion heals ( I think it does) then it gets the benefit as described
What is the best poison build out there? Is it still blademaster flurry despite the flurry nerf?
Hoe do I know what to loot(filter) for when leveling rogue to a blademaster. I'm unsure if I'm leaving out important bits.

I know there are idol slots and passive points to be gained in the campaign, which you can see on the big map.
But there is also a +1 to all stats that isn't mentioned anywhere in the interface as far as I know.

I don't think this answer my question. The value on the skill window goes to half, if I'm still it shows 9k, when I start channeling it shows 4,5k... I'm not questioning the damage I'm dealing, but the information about the skill...

I really don't know... I while back while I was leveling it was the opposite, while I was channeling the damage kept scaling up...but now, it takes 1s to the damage goes half way down.
I'll search again on passives and skill nodes that may say something about any stats that I can havea, and during the play if any stats comes up that could explain (I did yesterday and saw nothing)

Nope. Mobs by default no have resistances, and armor and any layers of defense. Excluding damage reduction what scales with zone level.

This won't help me. I'm interested in knowing why warpath's tooltip changes while I'm stationary to when I'm channeling, showing a lower dps in the 2nd scenario. My real damage I know, but I'm trying to understand why this happens so I can change/stop this form happening and be able to deal more real damage.
How exactly does wandering spirits work? Is the damage dealt as soon as an enemy is touched, meaning I want the spirit to touch an enemy, move away, and touch them again, or is the damage dealt for the duration of the contact, meaning I want the spirit to stay inside the enemy for it's whole duration? Wondering how more / less spirit movespeed affects the ability
Poison flurry is still fairly good, I'm still around 5 million DPS with it, but the absolute best now is thrown totem spriggan poison.
That's cause the thorn totems are currently bugged and you can have 18 out

You are in fact your own ally. However in newer skills we write it with a bit more clarification, like "you and your allies"

How does Blind work with Dodge? Are both seperated rolls or should i use blind only, when im having dodge as well (my paladin has 0% dodge, but 3X% blind on hit on the weapon and im thinking if thats a dead mod)
Blind has nothing to do with dodge at all. Blinded enemies might shoot their projectiles erratically instead of targeting you and have less critical strike chance.
So is the singularity idol any good? It seems kind of bad to me since you can only use one and it removes crits, am I missing something important? Any input would be appreciated, cheers!
I have a question about the "hidden blade" node in the dancing strikes skill tree.
Is the triggered version of the shadow cascade always the basic version of the skill? Or does it use the skill you've upgraded in it's respective skill tree?
It's a niche item to boost hit builds that struggle with getting high amounts of crit. You can just avoid investing in crit and put those stats elsewhere. It's still relatively unexplored but I think Devouring Orb and Volcanic Orb are good candidates (no crit in base tree, forcing you to use a catalyst/rune dagger/prismatic gaze, and build a ton of %spell crit affixes, and even then you probably won't hit 100%)

I'm using it with Glacier since there are so many more damage multipliers in that tree that you can fill out your 20 points with damage without touching the crit nodes. The damage is probably a little lower, but my survivability is through the roof because I dont have to invest in crit.
Can multiple fissures from smite stack for more dps? Wondering if duration would be worth it for single target dps

You can run them while levelling, but you need a key, and they aren't super common. You can see them on your minimap, there's a little dungeon icon

They drop randomly. You get a lot more at endgame, because the idea is you can use keys on alts to skip parts of the campaign

I don't leave the house without it. Keys, wallet, phone, cleanse on potion use.
Level-wise the lightless harbor is the easiest though, with the first zone being like what, level 20ish?
yes, lvl-wise indeed, but imo difficulty wise its the hardest one
bc boss slam is so lethal
even for tanky builds
I've had no issue running without it, but I also have 10k ward so barely anything can hurt me. Probably good to have, but not totally mandatory.

are empowered monoliths suppose to be insanely hard? I was clearing the game finally after tweaking my build/gear tons and tons of times.. now I get to empowered monoliths and it seems no matter what I change, what defenses I add... doesn't make a difference. I can only clear them about 30% of the time, the rest are just failed over and over.
i really wish enemy modifiers weren't so intense. "Void enemies deal 109% increased damage" leads to an instant death for me, idk how to clear them. I hate having to watch which one i choose...
Sounds like you're lacking in some sort of defense or healing layers and may need to consider correcting that.

endurance %, resistances(for other types, void is probably fine) and a source of leech. also capping crit avoid (but 7% is fairly minimal and shouldn't lead to that experience) I do feel your regen might be a bit low. I think I'm around 4x that much off the top of my head.
Although I assumed you were autobomber, if that is melee then you're fine for leech.
i swapped to hammerthrow / smite which helped a lot but the second I stop hitting i'm dead, or get placed in a few bad AOEs
i'll try losing some damage for more edurance

main thing to take into account is that your damage is from throwing and spells
so only 1 affix on that weapon does anything
does void apply to smite? my throwing does no damage, it proccing smite is where my damage comes from
then you want a wand or rune dagger (for crit)

scepter you can get spell/void % and spell crit % (or just both the damage %'s)
rune dagger you'd pretty much be stuck on crit chance and crit multi
