Question: In the timeline "Ending the Storm", second quest echo I had the choice between fighting the architect, or letting her go to instantly unlock a lv 80 timeline.
I chose the latter, but got nothing. Did I miss something or what's supposed to happen?
You still have to fully complete all the quests for it to unlock, if that makes sense
so that choice changes what timeline you'll unlock next after the last boss of that current timeline

Klick on it and look for the item type. If you dont select the item type at the top it shows one of the affixes. they have different ranges on other slots

For the things it calculates, it is 100% accurate. However it will leave out many other things it cannot passively calculate
My shatter rules are typically only 8 skill related mods I care about, and also hybrid and %increased health
Some number for my current character, and then a few for other characters
And I leave off the health ones now that I have a ton

You'll go crazy trying that. Stick to shards for your current character, and then ones for your next one if you have one planned already

You mean in regards to target farming? It means that yoz can get the shown exclusive Set or Unique Node in that mono => spirit of fire has only Boots set/unique nodes

You can drop snowdrifts in any mono; but you will never get an echo node where you can specifically roll for unique/set boots outside of spirits of fire

Just depends on the build, it’s already got a great flat crit chance modifier on it, but typically flat chance is preferred as you can get the increased critical strike chance from so many other sources.

Ok. I think I understand. For convenience, LE tools is showing me the actual uniques. But what it is in fact telling me on that page (https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/timelines/the-stolen-lance/uniques) is that the Stolen Lance Monolith will have nodes where I can roll for unique Staves, Wands, Scepters and Catalysts

Sort off. It is telling you that your flat damage is that value. But monster defenses can, and will, reduce that.
It's not a very useful indicator, in the sense it won't give you real-life information. But you can use it to make relative measurements, and help you decide a little better the worth of an item
But: It is dps. E.g. the tooltip scales with cast speed. If you trigger smite in some way you can not really rely on it. Cast speed wouldnt change your damage when you proc it.
Some skill node will factor into its calculation others not.

new to the game and playing a primalist. I did put a point into violent upheavel on the fury leap tree, which triggers upheavel after landing with the leap. Will the triggered upheavel be impacted by the points i speced into the upheavel tree or does it stay the "base" version of the spell?

@stone granite The main reason I am asking is because of how Dark Moon makes it orbit around you one could consider it being melee because it is in fact melee range only.
That's not what melee means, in any game ever
Hitting someone with a bow attack in melee range is STILL a bow attack, not a melee attack
Spells are still always spells
In some games a melee attack does actually turn into an orbiting attack when you add modifiers. This can, in fact, completely change the type of damage it is dealing from being Melee into being Throwing.
So instead of replying in what can honestly be considered a rude manner as you had, you could have just simply stated "No, it's considered Magic so doesn't fall into Melee or Throwing."
This game tells you when something is changed like this. E.g., you can look at earthquake for primalist it can be turned into a spell.

Do the 2nd/3rd Floor of Temporal Sanctum also have mods that rotate every day? I've done a bunch of t2 sanctum runs today and for example, every 2nd floor option appears to have come from a pool of exalted rings, exalted amulets, exalted relics, exalted weapons, glyphs, or runes. Not sure if I've just gotten weird luck or something though

Okay a couple questions:
I am getting frustrated with the Filter things. I know it's 'easy' to setup but I don't know what I want or what I should be looking for. Basically I'm looking for a catch-all that only grabs potentially great things for each class. I tried using a recommended one earlier but notice my screen is still flooded with stuff everywhere and Idol's especially cause me to have to hover over everything. Is there a solution to this or am I really just going to need to sit down and look at all the mods and figure out what I want?

making an item legendary will raise its equip level if you add sufficiently high tier stats. since you can only use exalted items to make legendaries this is always something you're risking
truthfully i think the easiest thing to do is to learn to make a filter since at the most basic level it's just half a dozen rules or so

if you're following a build guide it'll tell you what affixes you want if not the general deal is health everywhere you can get it without sacrificing other defenses, flat damage/crit on weapons, movespeed on boots, penetration on amulet unless you're a poison build, multi where you can get it, enough endurance to cap it if you're a health build, enough crit avoid to cap it, relevant attributes for your build

Difficulty in the game scales infinitely. There are no "options" to change difficulty, just a means in the endgame to increase/decrease dynamically. Loot also improves as you increase.

You can start targeting gear as soon as you know what uniques you are aiming for :D The place where everyone grinds can be done as soon as you reach end of time. Lvl 57 should be more than enough (the area level starts at around that level)

Yeah i feel you. What you want to do is to level in the highest level area you can clear, since that brings best chances of drops. Also target farming is somewhat endgameish, you need to grind through the area i mentioned earlier to unlock it basically
those "areas" you speak of, it that the normal "questing areas" or do you mean those monoliths?

well giant slayers less multiplier works on the poison but imho at least the inhert shred effect of poison should still work
so you do 80% less damage but get the full benefit of the stacking shred effect

In my calculation, I can stack over 700 poison but have only 1M pop against dummy
it's almost exactly 1/5 of my calculations.

I would first up the vitality to t5 then chaos glyph the other two. It might be easier to despair the stun avoidance first to put on the % health directly, level it. Then finish by chaos rolling the dodge rating.

Craft what you’d like on the open prefix then chaos the other remaining slots. Belts and Boots are relatively nice to chaos on as they are more limited in the pool the chaos glyph can pull from

also the boss has some exclusive uniques
it's also the only place you can make legendary items although that's not really something you grind for in the sanctum itself
but if you look here https://lastepoch.tunklab.com/dungeon/temporal_sanctum and scroll down you'll see that the dungeon has a bunch of modifiers it can get that increase the number of exalted items you drop
How hard is the content?
the first three tiers are pretty easy although you'll definitely need to learn the boss's attack patterns
the fourth tier is reasonably difficult

Obtaining them is not so much an issue as knowing when using them would be helpful and when it would not. The success rate drop is extremely noticeable in the t3-t4 range

capping resists and crit avoid is pretty universal yeah
similarly we can say that any build that uses health instead of ward probably wants to cap endurance
is there any math on the EHP value of crit avoid and other layers? Like for example would 10% of crit avoid be equal in effectiveness to ~400 health, or similar method of measuring and comparison
i doubt it's as straightforward as 10% crit avoid always equals some specific amount of health but also i promise you just always want to cap it because it'll prevent you from taking big damage spikes out of nowhere
crit avoid is weird because if it isn't a full 100%, it becomes much less effective
like if you have 99% avoidance, yeah you avoid 99% of all crits, but there's still a 1% chance every time you get crit (which will probably happen a lot) that the crit will go through and chunk your health
it's less serious than in games like PoE where that single crit will literally oneshot you, but it's still a considerable damage spike

Yes to the first, partially yes to the second. You still get roughly the same number of items from the end chest rewards, but their rolls can be higher/better due to the zone level being effectively higher through corruption. If I am not mistaken.
Actually it's a no to the second since they are generated in the "Echo of a World" which is solely based on your character level.
So a lvl 90+ character could get an item with a t7 affix from a chest after a lvl 55 monolith.
Are we sure about it? I recently finished a high corruption monolith and got 3 T7 items... Could be rng of course...

But by how much say I have 100 corruption and you have 800 corruption are you 8 times more likely to have a unique node?

Also would a smart strategy be to have one character farm all the corruption in all the monoliths and then just apply a loot filter for the new hero build that you want to farm instead of trying to farm all the corruption over again on the new toon

The game guide states that increases on the skill tree of a skill affect ailments applied by that skill. Is it safe to assume this is ALL damage increases that appear on the skill tree? For example, disintegrate can apply ignite. The "escalation" node increases damage by 150% after 2 seconds of channeling. Will this increase ignite damage after 2 seconds of channeling?
I'm considering leveling to exclusively play a build around these interactions, so I'd hate to discover that it doesn't work that way

STR description tells that improves skills that rely the raw strength of you and your companions... does this affect melee Skeletons or they are not companions?
as an example, fury leap has a strength tag, "physical, melee, movement, strength" are the tags. so strength improves its damage. other skills might might have dexterity, intelligence, etc.
global tag includes minion too?
Generally no. But I think the totem provides a buff to allies and thus minions as well. Not 100% sure.
The buff gives the damage, anything that is affected by the buff gets the damage. if I am not mistaken.

In PoE, stats do not affect minions unless they say "minion" in them. However, similarly to Frenzy Totem, any buffs directly applied to minions (auras, totems, etc) do apply to minions unless they specify that they only apply to the player. Same thing goes for a few other ARPGs I vaguely know about, so yes, it's pretty normal behaviour for ARPGs.

in general autocasting is not intended to be a feature though
and really most skills are not optimal to autocast

that's a lot of finicky math and you'll have to take into account every other modifier in that character

i meant for orange, cause sometimes what would work well on a set of gear might change if you get slightly worse rolls than average
for physical damage characters, i dont think gear sets are really nonexistent

not green gear but normal gear...tbh i don't see sets (green gear) being used much
set items are pretty weak at the moment
some set effects look tasty tho
a couple of them are usable but they can't be legendary and the set bonuses mostly aren't very strong
either totems void or minions
i like the idea of the last bear set, but making resistances work would be a pain

stymied fate isn't even really a chase item they drop all the time
but like ravenous void, orian's eye, bastion of honor, wings of argentus are all chase items off the top of my head
since theres not much you can do to remove cooldowns of movement skill, thought its a chase item
idk i've never wanted to use a pair personally
i guess if it had enough lp i'd use it but that's not really something you can plan for
and regular pairs drop pretty commonly in my experience
i leave them on the ground now
also you can get generic cdr on helmets if you really want it
My only chase item is a legendary transient rest

When I get a bahldars and decide to make it legendary. Is there a chance to ruin the item ? Or will it get a random stat from the sacrificial piece no matter what?
it'll always get a random stat
nothing can go wrong except just not getting what you want
can’t ruin it unless for some reason an additional affix would brick it
i guess that’s occasionally possible
like getting extra intelligence or attunement accidentally in a build that needs them equal for that one relic
obviously not something that can happen on a weapon but in general
and at that point you'd just wouldn't have those on your exalt
idk i might gamble it under the right circumstances
but yeah you do have a decent amount of control over the input to avoid that sort of (already super rare) issue
hello, recently bought last epoch but had to uninstall due to constant crashes on startup and unusually high gpu usage (kinda afraid of it bricking my pc). has this been fixed yet or are there any definitive fixes i can do about it? really wanna try the game out
High gpu usage won't brick your PC. You bought the whole GPU, not part of it.
Crashes could be outdated drivers on your end

if you're destroying t2 and not worrying much about damage then t3 should be good

I have no issues on my end apart from the occasional break dancing monster
gpu does get hot sometimes, but for that you can lower the graphics, monsters break dancing is just fun to see sometimes, crashes could be drivers or something else
at least that's what i did with the gpu part
Bleed can be an issue on system performance, particularly with builds that have lower amounts of stacks being applied by multiple sources I have noticed, but outside of that, performance has been relatively stable for me.
If you do notice consistent performance drops on certain maps, skills, enemies; I would suggest taking that info to the feedback forums so that the devs are aware. The more info the better, such as the skill tree set-up, map name, the enemies name and any abilities they are using, etc.
Ailment stacks shouldn't affect the gpu temp since it's all stuff calculated by the cpu. Some gfx cards (eg, the 30x0 series) appear to have issues with LE if the comments on here & the forum are to be believed.
That is true, although my temps also run higher when I play that build style, but it’s also a laptop so I’m guessing there’s a decent chance that other factors might play into it due to confined space
I don't think you can complain about using a laptop for anything other than excel.

the laptop also was affected by bleed
many small hits with a lot of alliment stuff always was the way to desaster for me 😛

flurry is snapshoted when you start channeling - the multis are not channeled so there should be no snapshoting going on
even flurry proc the multi shot, you mean, multi shot follows on my stats when it proc right?
i guess so ... flurry "gets" your stats when you start hitting the button but the individual multis you procc from it are "each on theire own" ... i have NOT tested this (and with procced flurry not attackspeed based its quite hard to test i guess) but i simply cant see why there should be anything weird going on
i also had this feeling , my cheap noob solution was:
put multishot icon in your skillbar, notice what is its dps tooltip. (when you are not using flurry\attacking \ proching this skill)
Then proc flurry channeled and constantly snap fast over and over your mouse on multishot.
(keep in mind that tooltip updates in the exact moment when you have your mouse over it.
This means keeping your mouse over that skill wont update it in time
you have to do the constant : put your mouse over the skill, remove your mouse over your skil, this ultra fast).
in that way if you have specific increments of dps you will notice
(my english is garbage hope u get it).

true, and that means MS also got benefict and is not a "static dps" shot because it was proched.

Flurry's skill nodes shouldn't affect proc'd Multishot, XXX while channelling might.

Elemental arrows (at 6 stacks) with max points in passives
and combine with all the nodes about elementa arrows of course
has zero impact at all on icicle and on channeled flurry (same question as the one above pretty much)
The Icicle is a spell, not a bow attack & it doesn't have a mana cost. Channelled Flurry nodes should affect it.
The elemental arrow nodes should affect Flurry (unless you have the Fire & Steel node)

I'd have thought that the Elemental Arrows damage should be inherited by Icicle, unless it's been coded as flat bow damage rather than "flat damage for attacks & spells"

manifest armor, poison flurry, and summon abomination can all kill t4 julra pretty effectively
i’ve also done it with serpent strike
really i suspect poison in general will work well because poison is fucked up
i’ve heard lightning blast is good too but haven’t looked too much into it

the only thing id consider is that if you are testing on the dummy, the dummy might be doing some weird shit because the dummy is not an enemy

I feel like I should know this but I don't. I have a node that converts all added damage from all sources into lighting. So if I have a weapon that give added physical, cold, lightning, and fire damage from both implicit and affixes, will all of that be converted to lightning? Not having a tool tip that shows the damage per hit for skills is really annoying, I honestly do not need the dps calculated I can do that on my own.
if you get one of the converts that not only convert base damage but all added damage too it doesnt matter what type of flat added damage you have its all the same

My setup use increased critical strike chance and crit vuln stacks from void cleave to reach 100% crit with my weapons

why does everyone spec into entangling roots to summon vines in werebear form when 3-4 points in leap tree does the same thing and saves you a whole spec slot and lots of points in werebear tree
Not sure if it's everyone, but I also don't really look at most builds people post. However, Frenzying Thorns is a massive buff for vine gameplay whether that be crit or DoT but especially for DoT. Even with the Woodland Bear node bugged with double rage, ER is a big buff and it does good damage as well as CC. That's a lot of good things for one skill.

There are no ticks all dots deal constant damage... numbers are just for iluustration twice per second
So duration is just a plain more damage modifier

The devs have said they don't want any class pigeon holed into support either, so don't expect a "healer" class. You might have abilities that can heal, but that isn't what you'll be primarily doing.

i think the main difference is that resists don't work the way they do in poe
you still want to cap them but it's not as important to do it immediately
well Dmg related are usually what comes in the prefix slots, while the health/resist in the suffix - it's better to work on dmg then the defense early. Paladin can come with more then enough sustain
basically enemies penetrate 1% resistance per area level up to a max of 75% penetration so having 70% resistance compared to 75% is only 5% more damage taken compared to poe where it's 20% more damage taken

I'd suggest browsing lastepochtools.com/builds/ you'll find several builds there I'm sure
Most are guides and generally just use base random gear without any LP stuff which is the problem, but I'll dive in some more
Why does LP stuff matter? If they're using a unique, that would mean you'd like to find those uniques with LP on them... but you can't reliably force stats on uniques -- you can just try to get the most number of stats you'd like on them on a exalted item -- and generally these are going to be the same stats you want on your gear already
It's more fun to look at and interesting. A lot of the guides just use filler gear and don't specifically use the uniques
and I'm mostly just really curious what a super high end one looks like.
Well find a guide with unique gear, then imagine it with 4 extra affixes... Because you'll never actually see it in real life.
The thing is in a lot of cases a base unique isn't going to be on the guide because it isn't better than an exalted, however once you get a 2lp unique that works with the build it's likely better
For example in frostbite mage: You use an exalted dragon wand, but if you get frozen ire with 2+lp and you hit the prefix's it's probably better
If I’m theorycrafting a build, I’ll either slot the build with the standard 0-lp unique or assume I don’t have it.
Legendaries are so variable that I understand why content creators would opt for a more baseline build template than their personal set-up.
Often times they’ll include two build links. A basic one and a high end gear one (probably what their wearing at the moment)
Exalted are the same way. It’s relatively rare to get exactly what you want on an exalted, though it’s much more feasible for one affix exalted than legendaries imo
hey, i have 2 questions regarding Volatile Zombies: is their explosion considered a (minion) spell, and does it scale with the HP of the zombie? i did not found that mentioned in the skill, but the build i looked at uses a lot of minion hp over minion dmg affixes, so i wasnt sure

0 unless they say otherwise below their name or you have an echo mod that gives them armour (if those exist)

I need to farm Drelkor's Compass for my build. lastepochtools says "Timeline to target farm: Fall of the Outcasts (Empowered, "Unique or Set Bow or Quiver" echoes)" But none of this echos show up. what am I doing wrong?

you can farm this unique anywhere, but this mono has the unique bow nodes, keep that in mind. The frequency of those nodes are tied with your corruption level, so ild suggest you grind the corruption in empowered and while you do that clear all the unqiue nodes

New Player here...Are there any affixes/defenses that reduce damage over time taken? (other than resistances)
endurance should if you’re below the threshold
aside from that i don’t think anything directly reduces dot damage although a lot of dots are ailments and can be removed with cleanse which you can get on belts
ok thanks. not sure how I feel about endurance yet...feels weird to focus on a stat that only kicks in on low life
I understand the layered defense approach...so might have to give some attention to it
every health based character should cap endurance
you can do the math out if you want but it’s effectively just 30% more health at the cap
I was able to find bastion of honor so working on capping block eff....but I guess endurance might be more useful if it reduces every damage type and damage over time....hmmm
(assuming block doesn't work against dots?)
i’m not sure it’s actually possible to cap block effectiveness i think it just approaches 85% reduced damage on block and never actually gets there
if a damage instance would oneshotyou from full, would endurance still kick in?
Yes
The endurance DR is applied to all damage below the threshold including part of a hit if you were above the threshold but the damage takes you below.
So if your threshold is 100, you have 101 hp & you take 100 damage, 99 of that damage is mitigated by whatever your endurance DR is.
I have a good 2h mace with one suffix slot open. Which out of the following 3 suffixes would you chose:
- Chance To Shred Armour on Hit
- Chance to Apply Frailty on Melee Hit
- Chance to Chill on Hit
Depends on the build and how comfortable you feel defensively, chill if you have sustain and solid defenses, frail if you struggle getting hit too hard on bosses

Hey. I've just reached the monolith stages and I've noticed the enemies are starting to deal out more damage. I've upgraded my resists but I still find myself dying a bit more than I would like (as a Druid). What should I be focusing on? I guess I'm overwhelmed between health, health regen, ward (this is caster only?), and endurance? What gives the best gains here?
Well ignore health regen and ward, endurance has a cap but can definitely prevent your death
Max your resists as best you can, 75 isn't that hard to hit
Maybe find some sustain like leech
description says "up to 2 additional" so one'd think it only hits each enemy once

doesnt seem to be just after time shifting apparently, can randomly get stuck during channeling but happens most often after shift
Hey there. New to last epoch. I'm trying to farm devotion. On lastepochtools it says to target farm empowered or the unique necks. It also says random drop (common). Does that mean it also drops randomly doing non empowered age of winter echoes?
random drop = it can drop anywhere
the target farm thing is cuz Age of winter has the chance to spawn reward nodes with Unique Amulet reward types i believe
ideally farm on empowered monolith cuz it should have higher spawn chance for those special nodes
Is it worth building anything with Valeroot? If yes what affix to put on it? My mage is lvl 65 so I am OK with anything that can progress to lvl 80 on this.

Valeroot is nice for leveling a Druid, but in endgame it will slowly fall off
At what point? Is it OK till 80? What affix is it worth putting on it through LP?
I've used it to level a Druid, I removed it far before level 80. Maybe with Increased Health on it it will last a bit more, but not that high

The other affixes are not twrrible but also not good
So, how is the approach to craft on an item like this?
Reroll the affixes you dont like after maxing the ones you like is how i like to do it
If its not a fitting exalt for your targeted build i tend to not worry about Glyph of despair, only hope, chaos and discovery
it actually is, the exalted affix is the one i want to keep. i have a couple of the "make this affix permanet" things, should i use them? i don't know how it actually works.
oh i am dumb, +3 is exal ofc, send a screen if you want to
basically on exalted items if you glyph of despair a T1 affix, it is guaranteed to work. But a T2 affix has very high chances of getting sealed aswell, higher is notably more unlikely to work from what i ve heard
so if you happen to have an affix that ld be beneficial to you at T1 or T2, despair it. Then use Discovery and start maxing what you like and rerolling what you dislike. another pro of sealing is, that this affix is completely out of the pool it cant be rolled again.
if you have lots of forging potential and end up with lots of T5 affixes that you dislike and little Affixes that you want to keep you can also use rune of removal. It removes a random affix completely but costs quite some FP, tho i ldnt recommend it unless the item doesnt lose value to you in case you get rid of the T7/T6 affix.

Only if you use rune of removal since its random
to apply a despair glyph you have to upgrade an affix with the glyph equipped, so max you could in theory seal is T4. Rerolling via Glyph of chaos affects only the affix you used it on for the most part (idk if critical success is a thing with them, but dont worry about that for now)
It is. You can also accidentally chaos back into the original affix. I have done that a few times

How do I see what damage types my Flame Wraiths do? I mean theoretically it's all fire, but nothing says 'damage converted to fire' and none of the tooltips mention it.
the tags on the minion determine it's damage scaling types
The tags on Wraith are Fire, Necrotic, but they're literally shooting fireballs. There's also no specific tooltip for Flame Wraith over Wraith
if you hold alt + ctrl over the tooltip it should show you what tags the minion has. Those are the ones it scales with
There's a node, for example, that increases their Necrotic Damage and leech with Necrotic damage. I have no idea if the damage is all necrotic or fire or

And then there's this, which does BOTH Elemental (which I assume is also Fire?) AND Necrotic.
So I don't know how much flat fire or flat necrotic damage each of your minions has, that you'll have to figure out from your gear and passives. However I can see they have Fire, Necrotic, Poison, Spell and Damage Over Time meaning they will scale off of all of those values. So if they had 10 fire and 10 necrotic damage and you had 500% increased fire damage and 1000% increased necrotic damage they would deal 50 fire damage 100 necrotic damage etc.

afaik the fire wraiths converts their melee basic attack into fire balls that deal only fire dmg by default
adding necrotic flat dmg to it also makes it do some necrotic dmg

Because I'm awful at math: Is there a good way to eyeball roughly how much armour shred equals resist shred? I don't really... understand the armour formula in the slightest, let alone when it goes into negatives.
Enemies don’t have armor, it just makes them take more hit damage, tunk has a good armor tool that also does shred:

For crit builds? It's a damage multiplier, but as you see on the tool, the returns diminish as you get higher stacks

In spriggan form, if you take spirit vortex, it stats " cast Maelstrom on you when you directly cast spirit thorns"
Now what happen if you take this node, and "storm aid" in Maelstorm that allow you to cast it on minions?

The ability to cast on minions won't matter since the maelstrom you are casting is a trigger from spirit thorns, so it will always trigger cast on you

Both should as neither specify "hits" however, crescendo might not if they intend "strike" to be a replacement for "hit"

Nope, this is actually a super annoying thing for this blessing window
You should be able to hover over both your current and the new blessing to see the roll to pick which is best. If that current blessing from regular then chances are fairly good that the empowered blessing roll will be higher if it’s an average to above average roll

It’s over time, over 3 seconds and excess damage is not taken into account (unless you have a source of overkill leech)

Leech does not persist after full life if I remember correctly, I believe @fringe birch had an ingenious way of testing this with Titan Heart and Exsang back in September

You can probably out leech the dot damage though. I think that is why Arborus still goes Exuberance/Perfection in his Flurry DoT build

I believe it's the former. Also, if you're referring to the BD passives one thing to keep in mind is that enemies don't really have a scalable attack speed outside of a few modifiers. Most of the time you will be hitting them a lot faster than they will hit you. This is particularly true with boss fights. Couple this with a defensive layer like Dodge, it's still a potent source of increased damage.

Hi, I started playing recently and just about to unlock empowered monoliths on my first character (void knight autobomber). Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the best in slot bases? I vaguely know what to look for in terms of affixes and stats, but have no idea with bases. Currently running a 2h staff version following boardmans guide
usually you want the crit avoid bases on sentinel, the fire res boots (highest armor, good implicit) or another res boot if you miss another ele res, the endurance base gloves and on void VK the vita rings
amulet is usually the phys/nec resist thing ... but thats heavily depends on what you need

well if you want to play 2h staff just look through the bases in the filter and pick the ones you want
usually being the high adaptive spelldamage ones
i usually filter out all slot i dont want (e.g. with a staff buid you can hide all other weapons), hide bad bases next, show affixes i want
for super late game your filter will be hide everything expect exa/uniques and maybe some very rare affixes you hunt

Farm blessings is far more important than ravenous for a long time
And that alone will take you days to months depending on playtime

tbf you only need Fall of Outcasts, Black sun, Reign of Dragons, Age of Winter and Spirits of Fire blessings for character stats. The rest are drop modifiers (technically may not need outcasts.)

right, so on a new character you do this after doing the temporal sanctum to grind gear first?
level 95 and 100 temporal sanctum just has better exalted drop rate per hour compared to either 90 or 100 monoliths until you get crazy high corruption it seems.
Yeah I start farming temp sanctum around level 80ish and stay there until I have a decent exalted in every slot that uses rare gear on the build.

Devouring Release uses Hungering Souls' tree, yes. And the result is very good!

So I've noticed quite a few builds posted that don't have capped resistances. What's the deal with that? I realise being a bit behind on resists is less dangerous in LE than some other games in the genre, but is this actually a legitimate build decision, or another example of build guides for this kind of game cutting corners to pad their damage numbers?
thats just their gear not having the res
res is good but its more like if you have high health and 100% crit avoidance
but every build also has its own defense layers and damage mitigation
it could be that it has high dps and very fast to kill stuff, so it can afford to not have res
