like the relic can only drop on tier4
They're all tier locked, every tier has an additional unique added to the loot pool, T1 Ring T2 Helment/Ring T3 Helmet/Ring/Gloves T4 Helmet/Ring/Gloves/Relic

depends on how much resist it is and what else is stapled to it
the best way is to look at wolf builds and look at the reasons given why they have taken X passive or other skill and build your knowledge from there
some are solid, some are not
Tweak a wolf build until you make it your own twist then you can maybe make one from the ground up
So if it's just 6% res per point and nothing else useful - don't take?
the primalist attunement/cold/lightning res passive for example I would only take if you benefit from the attunement too
or as "travel" to progress further up the tree if there's something else beneficial to get

I see most wolf builds convert to squirrels - are there any that don't?
Thats because by design the squirrels are factually always better in a pure minion build
they do 45% less damage, but you get twice as many, meaning there is actually a slight damage gain simply by going squirrels.
But that means you can most likely play almost any squirrel build as wolves and its fine.

some affixes are more rare then others, so you wanna filter for them and use removals on them
removal costs FP, but if it hits the affix, you get shards equal to the level at 100% chance
that's a very good tip actually
if I knew that when I first had it I would've saved some potential for a removal
always check the vendor too, sometimes they sell good stuff worth shattering

Yes, I’m assuming on the right side shows you how much rarity will be added and in the left bottom shows you how much % you’ve accumulated. But it doesn’t show x5..x2.. etc

Yes, so then that it shows you after how many monos a certain player mod (rarity%) will be taken away
So as you say instead of total rarity: 150% it would show 25%(2x), 18%(3x) so on, so that you can make sure you enter an orobys fight with highest rarity % possible.
So then with the example above, you’ll be able to determine that in 2 mono maps, 25% of your rarity will fall off, and 18% will fall off in 3 maps.

yeah if I change the direction of these two it makes the hide rule useless for some reason, not mattering what I do to it, the relic still shows up

lp uniques you get in monoliths
make sure you’re doing empowered because lp chances go up with area level and all empowered monos are level 100
look for good dungeon modifiers mostly
imo speed clear first floor and full clear second floor if you want exalted
dungeon is really good for exalts yeah
one of the two doors before floor two is always exalted items as far as i can tell

Hi! Are the drop chances for a low lvl unique (lvl 30-40) the same in empowered monos as in normal monos? Or is it better or even worse? Trying to figure out, if I should farm empowered to get high LP on it or if normal is better for more drops maybe?
Does anyone know why Healing totems from Ancestral Renewal spawned through totems dont heal me? When i cast Eterra's Blessing on myself and a healing totem spawns it heals me just fine, but when i heal a totem and that spawns a healing totem it does nothing.

If referring to the ability to respec passive points, you can, looking at the level you haven’t made it to the first area that allows respec, without spoiling too much. Once you’ve finished the first chapter and hit the next town in chapter two, look for a purple head icon on the minimap in town, she will allow you to respec passive points in exchange for gold

Kinda both, there would be more available uniques to drop in empowered monos (due to the higher level) so your chance of getting a specific low level unique is probably worse, but since empowered monos all start at 100 corruption you'll have a higher chance to drop a unique.

You can, but you should send all crafting shards to the correct inventory (theres a button in your personal inventory for this).

question regarding tooltip damage and character page info values... when i switch my body armor to a better one (only dmg stag is flurry crit%) i loose a lot of damage (e.g. 110% increased phys). unequipping armor doesnt do a thing, equipping one with better stats lowers my values. Any logic behind this?
if you have 100% crit avoidance then you would have no need for less crit damage taken
one is just easier to get than the other, I think

less damage from crit requires exalted iirc to be immune to crit damage but only requires 1 affix, where as crit avoidance needs a lot more.

wich is by far (all those shreds chance) an immense dps boost
same as (if new player, mid gear, bad gear)

really boost survivability
(these 2 should be the priority in every early-mid end game)

T7 on an artors legacy didn't push it above 42, but t6 and T4 on a hellreach bumped it to 36, so I'd guess 28-34 for a dreamthorn with one t7?

from what I've seen, well crafted rares with uniques / set items that boost your build in a way rares can't, or provide unique interactions
similar to Path of Exile's gearing
but it goes even further with some advanced forms of crafting

At endgame you are looking to replace your rares with sealed purples. Otherwise I'd say that roughly 40-50% of all builds are either completely or partially built around some unique or a combination thereof, others are mostly good stuff.

no, there are uniques with higher level requirements
the first monolith is only zone level 58
and there are items, not just uniques, with requirements up into the 80s and even 90s in one case
some uniques (mostly boss ones) are empowered (level 100) monolith only
I do like how gear keeps progressing up to such a high level

More like "farm monos till you unlock all the blessings and hope that maybe an interesting unique drops" because the drop rates are meh in non-empowered monos. With the recent expansion of the crafting system you are not just looking for any uniques, you want uniques with legendary potential.
There are viable builds for every class in the game, so even if you do you can always respec.
a well built/planned character can just smoothly progress all the way into empowered
even with pretty minimal gear

While LP is good. A unique by itself can enable a build and can be upgraded later with LP
Shatter strike isn't available much earlier - glacier always ran me out of mana, any tips on that?
mostly just don't cast it often, it should basically 1 shot everything
with the gambler's amulet you get from the early quest
if you do run low on mana, mana strike back up

Nah, the uniques are largely unchanged from way before LP. What they did try to balance was giving bad uniques better chances for high LP
Thats a pretty elegant way to do that and it gives them a lever to adjust as things get weaker/stronger with the meta

Strength stacking for lots of flat added damage
werebear gets 1 flat damage per strength via passives and can trigger entangling roots and maelstrom easily

worth noting that it only cares about the type of item (1h sword, 2h spear, amulet, etc.) and doesn't respect the specific base type (not every serpent bow becomes an acidfletch)

each skill has attribute scaling
mage and acolyte generally have the most intelligence scaling
the default is 4% increased damage per point of attribute, but some skills have something different
if you hold alt over a skill's icon you can see its attribute scaling

You shouldn't really be filtering out all items of a certain level at all, as they can still roll with valuable affixes, and with high tiers of them as well. So, to answer your question, no don't do that, You should structure your filter to Show what you want to show, and have a Hide All rule at the bottom, so that anything that isn't what you'd like to see is filtered out. Hopefully that makes sense.

Hey, when trying to maximize stability/hr to farm a monolith boss for one of their uniques, what should my strategy outside of the echoes themselves be? Obviously when I'm in, I can be skipping as many non-objective mobs as is safe.
so far I've been avoiding mods that'd slow my clear down and exploring as far from the monolith as possible, but should I be resetting the web for corruption?
Well, someone else can probably give you more certain advice, but it seems like the answer to grabbing more corruption depends on (1) how long you expect this to take and (2) can you handle any more corruption without dying
Target farming seems like it'd take a while, so I'd just hit the corruption as high as I could handle
well, It's a 50% drop chance unique I'm looking for, and I'm finding that I'm at the limits of my build's capabilities without it, so guess I'll keep on keeping on. Hopefully I'll get the drop soon enough. I've lost 2 rolls for it so far

Deadly Enemies also do 100% more damage, I believe
you can hold down ALT on echos to see a more in-depth explanation of what echo modifiers do (except for the obvious self-explanatory ones)

when is endurance calculated especially for one shots? for example my endurance threshold = 90hp and let's say my max hp is 100. my endurance is 60%

i don't think endurance prevents one shots

that's a good question, I'm not sure. it'd be interesting if damage is calculated sequentially like that
if it prevents one shots, then its actually busted
it wouldn't always prevent one-shots per se, since a one-shot is a one-shot
then it really is busted
Well lets just say damage goes to endurance line and immediately starts getting reduced even if its in a singular hit
like you're never going to survive the emperor of corpses dragon's one-shot attack
so it "can" prevent them but it won't always
Basically the DR is never wasted
if you don't have enough hp, which is a problem to begin with lol
if you have 3k hp, and take a 3.2k hit from a single blow, if you have 60% endurance you live
because the damage that hits your endurance threshold is gonna get reduced even though its all from a singular source that happened before you were below the threshold

Ward is honestly worse not really because of endurance but because of how you generate it. my ward character has way more EHP then my hp character against 1 shots
but you dont actually get 1 shot that often in this game

so my low life ward character has 3.2k health, which means I get 35% of my missing hp per second as ward if im at 1 hp this translates to roughly 1120 ward per second
where as leech does the percentage of the damage dealt over 3 seconds
you just heal insane amounts that ward can never compete with
Ward basically will never be able to compare to leech
Ward is only useful for characters who otherwise cant leech, or have other benefits from it.

When you do 1m poison damage to julra leech means you cant die, where as ward means you do die thats why most people share the sentiment that health just ends up being better in most cases
Its why spellblade getting a metric fuckload of ward and sustaining it is nuts vs a regular ward build.
A regular LL ward build can't even tank half as well in most cases and can't regain it when it gets hit as fast

Well you generally shouldnt get 1 shot depending on your layers, like I use bastion and have cracked out block effectiveness so I just stand next to julra and she literally does 1-2k with most attacks, but I could do the same if I had leech and a 3k health pool
But if you get hit multiple times in quick succession then you pop when the other builds shrug it off
Ward just has an upper limit where as leech does not, which is the crux of the argument basically.

the only skills I'd personally autocast rn are tornado, maelstrom, and avalanche with their instant cast nodes
stuff like devouring orb is imo a mistake to autocast
due to the delay and generally not needing your max orbs to clear
so autocasting will slow you down in most situations
or something like enchant weapon where you don't need the buff to 1 shot stuff while clearing but want it up for a boss/objective monster

the guide should go over the basics of Manifest armor as a skill and how it works. But for gear as long as you get a flat crit melee two hander the damage will be fine, the boots are sorta manditory, but it works without them just less damage

I would definitely use removals if you're just going to yolo something but despairs give you a different option.
I would never use a rune of removal period
There is a 25% chance of doing it for free. If an item is not an upgrade but could be if one affix was removed then it sounds okay. A lot of times the odds are better than chaosing into what you do want (depending on available affixes).
I only use rune of removal to scrape off rare affixes for the shards
Too many bad memories to do anything else
I use them when an item has 1 good affix and all bad

yeesh, the enemy power jump from normal monos to legendary is nuts... I'm still surviving but my health is jumping down really fast (leech is fast enough to help save me from almost dying). is that normal? level 91 right now, all my resistances are overcapped with only nectrotic and void at around 60-70%
Overcapping your resistances does almost nothing (only against mobs which shred res). Resistances should never be your only defensive layer, endurance, armour, dodge and/or high health total is what you need (should aim for atleast 2k health generally, some builds can and should definitely get more)

How do resistances work exactly? Say you take 500 fire damage before mitigation and you have 75% fire res with area level 1 (no passive penetration), is this accurate?

a large part of getting big ward numbers isn't actually in gaining ward, but keeping it, so you need a lot of ward retention

A) it doesn’t seem like it? At least in empowered it seems relatively consistent, my benchmark is 25 echoes for +12.
B) I have never seen an orobyss with more than +20 base corruption, my understanding is that the map is limited in dimensions and will always result in dead ends, most often before you can find a +20. +16 is a much more common dead end.

It seems like every two units of distance is roughly +1 corruption for an orobyss, yeah. I don’t think it’s possible to go that far out, you’ll hit a dead end way before then. As I said, I’ve never seen an orobyss higher than +20. I strongly believe that is the maximum you’ll find before reaching a dead end.
More often, you’ll only reach +16 or sometimes +18.

I was often going for only +12 or so before a reset, however
The higher in corruption you get the more likely it is that your path forward will be blocked off by a modifier or series of modifiers that you can’t run (multiple 400%+ damage modifiers, for example)

At +10 base corruption, it seems to be half of the difference to your maximum
Perhaps 5% per base corruption?
As running a 100 corruption timeline while having 1005 as my highest made a +12 node give 606 bonus

it seems pretty stabilized (only thing that increases it , is the blessing timeline1 with +20% unique drop chance)
b)i do believe that item rarity only increases the number of ** total tiers affixes**
you can drop from a monster
(Not their rolls min-max, this seems extremely randomized)
for exemple (throwing random values)
1000% rarity you have xxx chance to obtain item with tier20+ total
while
100% rarity you have much much lower chance for that.

you can't dodge damage over time, but you can dodge the projectiles
they are hits, so it would work, but ward on hit isn't particularly strong
Might be a weird question how many times does a dot damage proc per it's time of damage cycle? Eg ignite for instance does it do a tic once a second or is it every .5secs so forth
each dot deals damage at different rates, but the damage is collated into a single number every so often
visually collated, that is
So for instance how often does ignite do a tic per single stack?
As I can work out the rest once I know that base line
So x amount of damage every 1sec for instance
it ticks faster then that however, but thats really not that important

There's no way to increase ignite duration is there under the sentinal and it's masteries or skills is there, or is there any idols that might increase its duration?
you would need to look at the database, it might be possible but Im not sure off-hand. mage iirc does have ignite duration

for sentinel
its ignite duration and fire damage together as an affix

I'm finding the ignite is doing pretty well especially if you stack fire and dot damage increase lol especially when 1 ignite is doing about 90 per tic at lvl 30 ish
And with my ignite warpath skill regularly hitting about 5-6 stacks info is saying 230 over 3 secs

25 hours or so from 1-100 on a decently fast character

Just checking you know the node on warpath that increases your fire melee and ignite effectiveness against ignited enemies does that increase the damage of ignite or speed up the tics for the ignite effectiveness part of that node?

I think it's more for the fire damage boost and the stacking damage buff it gives that's why he suggested it for my build
As it gives a pretty hefty fire boost if I'm not much mistaken over 150% if I'm not much mistaken
As well as the fire melee will always be nice for the warpath skill being converted to fire lol
