Not super demanding. I have a 1660super, i5-9400f, 16gb ram, and when just sitting in town I get 100fps(because I cap It at 100fps) but when in super hectic situations I get 30-40fps

Yes there is respec option for passives, and your skill specilization, but not for your mastery. It's not limited really at all except for your skill specialization, if you reset your skill spec and respec for another skill, you will have to level the skill back up

How long does leveling skills take, or is it gear-based?
Well it depends. If you're at endgame you can level a skill back up to 20(max level) in 2-3 hours of farming monolith

Is it mostly just from general content, specific bosses, specfiic content, etc...?
Exalted items (those with t6 mods, which is uncraftable) drop in endgame zones, and endgame bosses have their unique drop pools with exclusive items. There are some worth chasing, while others are good for specific builds

I have one Character at monolith of fate 90. When i start a new one, will the new char have the same monolith progression or do i have to play all lower monoliths again?

75% for most of them, poison is a bit less relevant than the others
Yes, for my first chars the Ruined Welryn zone was a difficulty peak. Now I see it as a relatively easy zone. But the Void Amalgamation is for sure a tough boss. As all bosses in the game, very doable when you learn its pattern, but it's a good fight
For resistances, they are important but not sufficient. You should cap or approch cap but also invest in at least another defense layer. I'd suggest endurance, because it's guaranteed. Then, you can try RNG defenses: block or dodge.
what to raise first (if a choice had to be made): endurance or endurance threshold?
I'd say Lagon was hardest for me, using a melee build, due to strange out of place hitboxes
It may depend on your passives (for example, Druid has +14% Endurance easily achieable) and on your shards. I always raise Endurance first because I have very few Threshold shards.

Is the chill from “Last steps of the living” bugged? The tooltip of chill chance says that attack speed, cast speed, and movement speed are reduced by 12% per stack (and 6% against players). However, my cast speed goes from 20 -> 13 -> 6% (so 7%), my attack speed goes from 93 -> 81 -> 70% (so 12 and 11%), and my movement speed goes from 63 -> 53 -> 44 (so 10 and 9%).
You can clearly see that higher numbers are reduced more so there is some percentage-wise calculation.

Ah nvm the idol directly says "cast smite" so I'm going to assume so
Just note that there is a node that reads "gain mana if you directly cast smite". That will not trigger with smite on throwing hit idol.

no, the point of fracturing is that you cant craft once it happens
you arent guaranteed to make a piece perfectly, every change you make adds instability, which increases the chance of a fracture

its usually p easy to get an item with 4 affixes you want at tier 1/2 for each mod, after that it becoems much more difficult as you ramp up

Hi, just started playing and tried setting loot filter to show minion items. it is only making the items bold with minion mods after i hit the escape key in game, any way to fix this?
Yes, as does minion hp, minion hp regen & Int.
Basically, it's a flat hp degen that increases the longer the Wraiths are alive. So higher Wraith hp & higher Wraith hp regen keeps them alive for longer, as do the nodes that reduce the degen.

So, uhm, while doing Echoes in The Black Sun, I didn't pay much attention to which modifiers they give and now I have a load of rather unpleasant modifiers which make it near impossible to deal with the final boss, in the final Quest Echo.
How do I purge active modifiers, reset them? Doing more Echoes just seems to stack more and more modifiers, making them even more powerful. Do they eventually get replaced if you do Echoes that grant a different modifier?

So I've beaten the void amalgamation on the 55 monolith (crazy boss, but super fun and pulled through it!) - if i just keep continuing to unlock the 55 mono echoes uh... will anything happen? will I get a point where the only thing left is that corruption node and I'll have no choice but to reset?
Yeah. But its not a real reset. Remember that increasing corruption ups the drops and difficulty
If for some reason you decided that you absolutely despise every single other timeline and refused to ever play them then the only avenue of progression you would have would be ramping the corruption on that timeline.
And that could get you fairly far in terms of difficulty and drop quality
So think of the corruption node less as a reset, and more as a step to the next web with better rewards.

I got another question about Last Epoch: How much room is there to push the difficulty of the end-game, and to push your character to challenge that difficulty? Do both scale infinitely, is there a limit, can you make content really hard as a way to test your build just because you want to, etc...?

e.g. something like leapslam if you use another skill to procc an "modified" ability but never use this skill directly
my lich has 2 skillslots i dont need cause spirit plague and rip blood are never directly casted by me via press button (a pitty i dont have any use for the 2 extra)
Have the devs said anything about adding more slots to bar? For example, sometimes you don't specialize your movement skill, or you are using static for passive benefits, or have a skill that is purely triggered. When the skill isn't slotted the tree doesn't fully apply.
Static example is easiest to check. If you use firebrand to generate charges and have max charges increase node, if static is in bar then the cap is 200, but if not in bar cap is 100.

i dont think that quite right because plenty of skills can simply be triggered via other skills. I think, Its more that they don't want a case where every build has an unspecialize skill and feeling somewhat impotent.
They only want you using 5 yes. They have said many times that is the number they went with and balanced everything around

No, one is health drain, the other health decay, they are separate.
The reaper form drain/decay is (like Wraiths) a flat accelerating drain/decay (so the longer you're in Reaper form the quicker it drains/decays)
To be fair, it used to have the minion tag. But it was too easy for the Acolyte to keep the Dark Rituals buff up permanently for 20% attack/cast speed.
Ignite has the base "35 damage over 3 seconds" regardless of what applies it yeah? So more small hits are better than few big hits? Is there any ailment that scales with hit damage and not just attack/cast speed?

Rive's 3rd hit applies a DoT based (I think) on the hit damage.
Also, ailments will inherit any relevant modifiers from the applying skill. So if the skill that applied the ignite had % more fire damage then the ignite will also do % more damage
But if the skill had % physical damage then the ignite wouldn't inherit that (because it's fire, not physical) & if it had % more hit/melee/spell/bow/throwing damage, the ignite wouldn't inherit any of them either.
Can someone please tell me why I'm seeing Void Knight builds using Sigil of Hope? Did they change its mastery class in a patch at some point?
You can use any skill from any mastery if you put points into the tree, the only ones you can't use are the mastery skills & skills to the right of the 1/2 way line in trees you've not mastered.
So my Beastmaster has put 15 points into Druid to be able to use Spriggan Form, but he'll never be able to use Werebear

For pushing corruption, are ya'll just taking any + corruption as soon as you see one, or are you pushing further out from the center to get bigger increases?
I've heard People say pathing away from the spawn point until you find a +9 or more one is a good strateg, but haven't tried it a lot myself

end, no double dipping. its worth noting that this is no longer the case in poe. Poe takes the sum of all converted increases. LE only take the increases that work for the final damage type
it does not affect minions unless otherwise stated. They are global in the sense that they always affect your character.

@fierce kraken Actually they only changed that for ailments, it still totally works for hits, but traditional (read as OP) double dipping with ailments was reworked to have their damage based on the BASE damage rather than by the actual hit that applied it. However if you have increased elemental damage, and you convert 100% of cold to fire, that one mod will still affect both the cold damage before conversion, and then buff the fire damage again once it's converted
so what I was wondering in this case was if elemental damage modifiers would effect my lightning damage, which would then be converted, and buffed again by the same elemental damage mod, but you answered that as well.
another reason that is relevant in Last Epoch, is if I have a lot of sources of increased lightning damage, but then convert my lightning damage to fire damage, I would then lose all of my damage, because my BASE damage is what is being converted, before modifiers, correct?

Yes, if the skill states that added damage gets converted it will convert to the given element. Some skills do this inherently and some do it when you take a specific node on the tree
okay, so final question, how would that work with adaptive spell damage? Would you get the initial spell damage, then convert it, and then get the adaptive spell damage added to the new element?

My guess is that addaptive spell damage just get added last in the process since its "adaptive" it would just choose whatever element the skill is finally dealing dmg with. But thats just my guess about the process. What matters is that the dmg is not wasted.

For now since there isn't a way to reset your echo progress in 0.8.2 back in 0.8.1 you could reset and it would fix itself

One thing you can try is empower your monos and see if still resets all your timelines (I believe it doesn't, but i might be wrong) to empower you must beat all 3 level 90 timelines
You can go through the other path. Beat fall of the outcast again, unlock level 65 zone then 75? and 85 and you reach 90 ones

it may vary how long after hitting 76 based on whether you have respec'd a skill recently
question, in Sync Strike skill, in the lower right corner, there is "wave of darkness" that says it causes existing shadows to use Shadow Cascade. If I have Shadow Cascade as 1 of my specialized skills, will the points spent in it effect the damage or do the existing shadows just do a generic Shadow Cascade?
any automatic casting of shadow cascade as in this or shifts autocast will always scale off of your actual shadow cascade
so just consider it automatically casting it for you
although i wouldnt recommend spending points down in that part of the tree

unfortunately not that I have seen. There are no class/specialization or skill that provide +dmg when using a staff. I have only found +dmg to weapon such as when wielding a mace, scepter, axe, or a combo of different DW setups.

the only logical reason you would go for 150 (which is complete overkill) would be to mitigate the maximum area level penetration % so past level 75 areas you still have resist

one adds (melee crit) to the base 5% and the other multiplies. You can tell the difference by the + modifier infront of the stat. +6 melee crit chance will give you 11% chance to crit. 110% increase crit chance will be 5*(1+1.1)=10.5% chance to crit.
If you had both it would be (5+6)*(1+1.1)= 23.1

Hey guys, I have a few questions concerning bleed. I'm in the process of trying to perfect a bleed build and after scouring the discord here, and I'm still a bit fuzzy on some of the details.
- I read here that bleed chance cap is 200%. Is that a hard cap, or can it go higher with skills that have an increased chance to bleed (such as Puncture)?
- Does bleed damage scale with anything else besides Damage over Time and Physical Damage increases?
- Is bleed damage increased by armor shred?
- Is there a cap to bleed?
- Is bleed damage snapshotted?

does Earthquake gets benefits from Skull Crush while being casted on Werebear form (via Bhulda's Wrath)? Because I'm testing here and Pummel doesn't seem to add anything, not sure about Skull Crush.

I have 2 rogues, one with sanguine obsession and the other with scalebane, and they both still have a little bit of the wrong ailment chance on the character sheet, maybe it's just a visual bug
character sheet doesn't do a great job at displaying conditional things
and converted chance is never shown since it's pretty much exclusive to within skill trees
so when a skill says "poison chance from all sources is converted to bleed" what that means is any poison chance that would apply to that skill, is bleed chance instead
so if your weapon has poison chance, and your idols have poison chance, those count as bleed for that skill
it doesn't make those stats count as bleed for other skills

i don't remember what the wording on that particular node is but yeah it doesn't affect anything but the skill that has the node (puncture? i can't remember where it is)

there are some inconsistencies, especially with older skill trees, but most of the time the nodes in a skill tree only apply to that skill (and often the ailments they apply with some exceptions) and if they apply globally they will have global in the description

how long does it take to get to lvl 100? Been playing last 3+ hours and only obtain 1 lvl so far, trying to hit up every XP monolith, but lordy, this is so slow going. 😦

honestly, getting to 100 right now is too quick imo. it doesnt take long at all, just keep pushing, i didnt keep track but it took me less than a week to hit 100. i dont want to say something extreme like it only took a few days but if u actually tried to push max exp... it really doesnt take that long at all.

Once you beat the Reign of Dragons timeline (in the same way you beat the other timelines) there will be 3 level 90 timelines. Beating those unlocked the empowered timelines
Ah, if you're playing an old character it's possible something is broken. We've been working on tidying that up internally. You should be gaining Stability in the bar at the top of the screen and be able to select the quest echoes on the left once you have enough.

For melee attacks you can turn off the move to enemy in the settings. It's a check box

that is how i read that, yeah.. the "reduced effectiveness" line only applies until you surpass 100% so maybe should be reworded
no, it's extremely powerful because of a particular interaction.. if your build requires leech to stay alive, then yes it's a bit of a trap, but if you have other means of regaining health (rip blood can be extremely powerful for healing without leech for example) or if you are a low life build that only cares about ward, it's a great damage boost
the interaction i mentioned is with the River of Bones node in necromancer, which gives minions leech on crit. hollow lich is not intended to interact with minion leech, so this interaction will probably be fixed at some point but for the time being it is really really powerful
i think you get something like 375-400% increased damage for yourself by taking just hollow lich and all points in the node before it along with 5 points in river of bones
yes, chance to ignite on hit counts for anything that hits. the exception being minions, which would need something that specifically grants chance to ignite on hit to minions.
some dot skills that don't hit (like mage's disintegrate) can get a chance to apply ailments that doesn't require them to hit, but they can't benefit from a stat that grants chance to ignite on hit, on your weapon for example.
So after getting a blessing for fall of the outcasts section, I saw that the blessing icon appears on the right of the "55" when looking on the map. Is there a second blessing to be had for the left side?

hey, guys I have a question about one of the nodes in the rogue tree "Disembowel". It states that every third non channeling bow attack applies a stack of bleed.
If I'm using the Flurry skill, does that mean it applies on every third hit from Flurry? or does it apply on the third complete Flurry attack?

What's up, guys! Taking a break from PoE and trying LE out. What builds are being recommended for newcomers? It doesn't have to be beginner friendly or anything. Just wondering which class to start with to get my foot in. I've done everything PoE, 40/40 every league, etc. So I have some experience with ARPGs.
Hey! I'd heavily recommend an ailment-focused rogue; of the 6 builds I've played to monoliths, it's the easiest to scale damage-wise, and has very low gear requirements

Respeccing in LE isn't as annoying as PoE. I suggest finding a class that interests you and playing your own build until you get through the campaign. Test skills and find some you'd like to build around. The only thing you cannot change is your mastery (think ascendency from poe). Anything else can be swapped in and out with relative ease. For passives you'll need to pay gold (~300?) for skills you'll have to re-level them but they eventually have level floors and re-leveling isn't all that time consuming.
You should create a general rule to hide certain bases and put it ontop of your rules list. The filter works from bottom to top, hope that helps
I'd 100% recommend you to try something yourself as a first go, but if you dont want to theorycraft (its much less painful than in poe, as well as respec), then try something like necro summoner, any crit rogue (blades, bow) or a mage. Almost everything works in this game

Empower blessings can give up to 2 suffixes of power, non empower is 1.
There are also passives and implicits that are very strong
i'm actually having a hard time surviving in empowered timelines, the jump from the lvl 90 ones is pretty harsh
echo mods stack very easily and lasts for a long time, making progressing sometimes very hard

Hey hey! Does Last Steps of the Living (11-15% of current health lost per second) interact with Aurora's Time Glass (if damage leaves you below 30% health and doesn't kill, get full health bla bla). I know Last Steps won't TRIGGER that, but if I'm already below 30%, will it still work if all my damage is taken from ward and I was already below 30%? I.E. Do I need to 1: Lose health from the hit and 2: Go from above 30% to below 30% in one hit to activate?
Probably not no, since the health drain isn't damage per se
But if I'm hit by an enemy, while under 30% health, and the damage is all contained with Ward would that trigger, or do I need health-damage?
I think it shouldn't (because the damaging hit didn't take you under the threshold) but I think I've heard that it does.

Asking this as a point of reference but for builds that apply DoT like ignite, is it higher DPS to craft on Fire Damage or Increased DoT affixes? Also is it worth taking "Elemental Damage Over Time" or "Fire Damage Over Time" instead of just "Damage Over Time" affixes in the 2nd case?
All sources of relevant increased are added together as one multiplier to your damage, so the specific type shouldn't matter, rather just the value
So 25% increased fire damage vs 25% increased dot translates the same..?

guys what is more usfull wehn i am trying to farm my gear. try and get a drob with the affixes i want ore get a itrem and appöy them by myself
adapt your filter, that it shows you the most needed affixes on your base item with basic tear (e.g. both prefixes T3) and then either try to clear unwanted affixes or upgrade everything you want.
for success chance above 75% i use stability glyphs, below i would use guardian. like that you can get T15+ gear quite easily

but i tied the affixes to the items should i go separately on them?
so i have three "filter categories"
- is showing all items with the affixes i need in general. these are for getting shards with shattering runes

What do you mean by not doing the last one? You have to progress far enough to find an Echo of a World node, this will reset it but adds corruption. There is no reset other than this that I am aware of.

Yeah I'm level 40ish now. Survivability isn't an issue with bosses as long as I'm constantly spinning with Warpath due to health leach but it does take a rather long time to kill them. Not very high on resistances yet

No, by default frailty applied from sources like "chance to apply frailty on hit" lasts 4 seconds. This directly applies a single stack of frailty with its duration dependent on the number of points in the node.

the four seconds is the default duration of a single frailty stack. That effect applies a frailty stack with a modified duration based on the number of points you have in the mode

so odd, I dont understand why my character sheet shows Crit Multi of 256%, and when I equip this Odachi with Crit Mutl of 150%, my character sheet does not update to reflect this. IE: I would have thought it would show 400% total, but it does not.
The Odachi has melee crit multi which only affects melee hits. The line on the character sheet is for generic crit multi.
yeah, just noticed that. gave feedback in correct channel asking devs to consider adding a Melee Crit Multiplier into the character sheet.

I don't quite understand your question but shadow daggers are considered an ailment and increased shadow daggers effect increases the damage.

you just take more damage, it depends on how you see it whether it "negates res". You will effectively have 1/1.3= 76% of your ehp assuming capped res in both scenarios
going from capped to not capped would be a 1/1.75= 57% of your ehp
to be clear in the first example it is the same as going from 100hp to 76hp

It actually depends. Sword and shield is the tankiest and dw has the highest damage potential however it comes with 15% increased damage taken and 2h is good damage but no downside
Some abilities gained by spec points (like Zap or Spark Charge) have tooltips that you can see by pressing alt on the spec skill, to see more info about what exactly the skill does and its duration etc. But Mark doesn't seem to have one of those fancy tooltips. Whether you mouseover the Mark of Thunder skill itself or the next-in-the-chain Glyph of Lightning, no way to get more info about Mark. Sooo... how can I find out more info about this? Is it considered an ailment maybe or is there a chart somewhere

i have some issues with the build, my skils costs way too much mana compared to how much regen i have (barrge and orb costs like 60 each and i have 11 mana regen) so i'm very reliant on focus but it has a large cd..
another thing is being kinda squishy? like i wanna invest in more ward related stuff but i don't know what exactly
Hey Mushrambo, I'm following the same build, and I did have the problems you are experiencing. First of all, to mitigate the effect of the large cd, try to get increased cooldown speed on the helm asap (if you already have it, use crafting to improve its tier), as well as the Recollection passive (far top-right corner of the Sorcerer passive tree). This will lower the cd of Focus to an easily manageable amount. Drop down some damage passives if you have to, the increased cd speed is a huge QoL improvement.
The build is reliant on you one-shotting almost any mob you come across, so Ward isn't really a big factor. The build doesn't have a lot of Ward retention anyways. Make sure to regularly use Teleport since Teleport gives us a big armor, resists and damage buff for 4 seconds, thanks to its passives. Remember that Ice Barrage is for regular mob clearing, and Volcanic Orb is for single target.

You can definitely gamble for it, or see if you already have the shards for it, then you can craft it on a base you like. The best base helm for this build is the celestial helm because of the implicit mana it gives, which you'll need to hit 300 mana.

Also, try not to "waste" Ice Barrage shots. Aim them in a way such that it'll pass through as many enemies as possible. Run circles around mobs if you have to. Don't fire the shots into a wall.
yeah thats a really good tip, i really like the build so far just trying to make it tankier generally

At that level, I tried to stay at range as much as possible. I found out that Ice Barrage shoots things off-screen, so I would regularly fire them off-screen if I haven't met a pack in a suspiciously long amount of time.
Hi all, just reached the end of the current quest line. Playing a rouge blademaster. Lv 54 - Flurry / Shift / Cinder / Smoke / Shadow Cascade. I haven't had too much trouble with this set up. But I'm wondering is it worth re-spec to Dancing Strikes / Sync Strike and if so what should I remove, probably Flurry / Cinder? Cheers

hey, guys I have a question about the Blood Infusion node from Rip Blood, it says it gives minions "Blood Infusion" when Blood Splatter "hits them". Does this require the Marrow Drinker node to work? or will they still gain the 30% damage buff without that node?
wait I think I figured it out, pressing alt over the Blood Splatter nodes shows the info "Nodes on this tree do not apply to Blood Splatter unless stated otherwise"
The Marrow Drinker node has no mention of Blood Splatter, only that it makes Rip Blood able to be cast on minions.
I'm pretty sure this would mean that the Blood Infusion buff does not need the Marrow Drinker node for it to be able to apply to minions
if I'm mistaken, or if anyone has any other info, or is able to clarify, please lemme know 🙂

hi my first char is a reaper lich and it's basically pop wandering spirits, reap and cast hungering spirits and everything dies. My second character is a puncture/ballista marksman and it feels a bit.. spammy? Is it meant to feel like that, and is just a different playstyle to lich, or have I specced badly in that even trash takes five or six hits to kill. I am stacking bleeds, nearly at 400% chance with buffs on plus any possible bleed nodes on other skills yet I'm not seeing much dot damage (geared for DoT and physical plus any bleed chances). I plan to pick up hail of arrows as soon as allowed. Will this help mitigate the crap time it takes to kill trash?
considered dropping ballista for decoy but I use ballista to chill/slow/keep shit away from me

Correct, Hail of Arrows has the DoT tag so it doesn't hit (though the Skystrike node on it will hit once per cast) & won't benefit from any "on hit" effects you have.
Whenever you want. It can be quite useful to do a bit of crafting early on to upgrade your gear.
I've still being using a oak staff b/c it has an 85% upgrade to cold, lol.
And the question came to me b/c of that, wondering when I should upgrade even if its a worse stat.
If you're a caster, the adaptive spell damage implicit is the most important stat on a weapon (like the flat melee damage on a melee weapon) so it's generally advisable to upgrade when you can.
As long as you don't get rid of your original weapon you can swap back & forth to see what's better.

Rip. When it comes to gearing EQ all you really need is the weapon from spirits of fire and then slap on some random gear to cap your resists and maybe spell damage prefixes everywhere
