It is pretty good, yes. You get things like double the chance for legendary potential, double the amount of t7 (exalted) affixes, 150% higher chance of rare boss drops, etc.
Keep in mind that you are comparing to a market where you can literally buy anything you want instantly though, as long as you have gold for it

MG and CoF are not comparable really, I think the only sensible thing to do is to pick what fits how you like to play the game

I've unistalled the game after completing campaign. Why? Constant performance issues. Huge fps drops down to 20 fps from 100. Changing to Direct X11 does not helps. RTX 3070 8gb, i7 11800H 4,6 ghz CPU 32 gb RAM laptop. POE 2 EA runs smoothly 60-100 fps without upscaling on the highest settings. Unity engine it's the total goo. 🤮 I'll back when developers fix performance issues. Low fps = 0 fun.
