Best case is you just get the an item dropped by the Exiled Mages with the Experimental Affix you want and some other good rolls. : )

To get Glyph of Insight, yes, you need to use Rune of Research on Experimental Items. These can be items you don't care about or if you want to Seal the Experimental Affix to craft something else on an item you do want. You don't always you get Glyph of Insight, so it may take a couple of tries.

Note that Gylph of Insight changes a prefix on an item that does NOT already have an Experimental Affix on it into an Experimental Affix. It also only works when you're upgrading a Prefix - like how Chaos works - so it must be used on a T1-T4 Prefix.

Cap Crit Avoidance. You could use more health too. You probably also have other defensive stuff you're not considering. You didn't mention Dodge, for example. Dusk Shroud stacks gives +glacing blow and dodge. Silver Shrouds give dodge and ward. Shift gives you i-frames if you took Shadowslip. You're getting more Armor from Shuriken Bladed Armor if you took that. Yes try to get the higher flat Armor Blessing. If you can get Chill, Slow, and Fraility those will all help. Don't forget Decoy and Smoke Bomb.

Hello everyone! I'm seeking advice on optimizing my loot filter. Currently, it's set to a high level of strictness, yet it's overly permissive for exalted items, resulting in an excess of them being displayed. My settings allow visibility for items with either a tier 7 affix or at least two tier 6 or higher affixes. Does anyone have recommendations for adjusting this criteria to reduce clutter without becoming overly restrictive?

@hidden ether Pretty much, also keep in mind dungeons have bonus loot drops that rotate daily so if you need a certain slot check the dungeons for what they're dropping that day.

@polar depot It's a rare drop so be prepared for a potential grind.

@distant prism Penetration does work on ignite.

@fathom perch That's up to you on your personal risk/reward scale. The higher tier the affix is the harder it is to get it to seal.

@zealous zephyr Yes you need a path there.

@sleek heron You need to basically make a choice on how you want to defensive layer bc there's several choices. You can armor/endurance up, or you could rely more on keeping something like frailty stacks on your hostiles, towards having defensive CD's for things that can potentially pop you.

"Global chance to ignite" vs "Ignite on hit" vs "Ignite per second" vs "chance to apply damned on hit with spells" vs "damned chance". Thanks.

@fierce lion No. You must use an Exalted item with exactly 4 Affixes. Sealed is not counted or used.

@fickle smelt You also can go into monoliths whenever you want, you don't have to finish the campaign. You can use the dungeon exits to skip ahead in the campaign as well. There are 15/15 Passive Unlocks and 8/8 Idol Unlocks that you can get in the campaign. There are more quests available for those unlocks than you need to cap.

@north marten Yes. Just note that if you have items that say requires X faction on them, then the other character in the other faction won't be able to use that item.

@silent flax Check that you have that type of Affix Shard. It lists the number you have under the Tier. If it says - then you don't have any of that Shard

@abstract baneIt varies by magic/rare/exalted, number of affixes on the item, and the tier of the affix you're trying to seal. If it's an Exalted item with 4 Affixes and it's a T1 Affix you're sealing, it will always hit. @silent flax Cap on most all affixes for crafting is T5, some of the uncommon ones stop before then. Either that or you're out of shards or the item needs you to be at a higher level.

@distant prism Have not played with witchfire so I wouldn't know it's full ins and outs but it sounds like your math makes sense. If you can keep your ignite/witchfire damage consistant when adding global fire pen it's easy enough to test to see if it effects your stacks though by just beating on something with/without the pen.

@amber mural correct. You can craft up to T5. If you had 5x of the Increased Lightning Damage shards and enough Forging Potential on an item, you could add that Affix and craft it up to T5. T6-T7 is drop only.

Warlock has a passive that inflicts stacks of damned on self. When I get enough stacks; I have negative life regen and it takes me to 0 HP and will stay there. Since I play with Exsanguinate for low life/ward based EHP I have not been dying.
Is this an intended mechanic or is it a known bug? I don't want to get used to using this setup if it is a bug and will eventually be leathal

If you want to follow a guide starting out, make sure it’s designed for leveling or has a leveling section. But you can also just play what you want and make your own build. The only way to move an exalted affix to another item is through legendary crafting, where you use the eternity cache at the end of the Temporal Sanctum dungeon. A unique with legendary potential will take on 1-4 affixes from an exalted item. It’s random and you can’t choose which affixes get absorbed.

For the Small, Humble, and Stout, you can keep just the higher end rolls on whatever stat you're interested in, which is usually a Resistance and maybe something else.

Smalls can have up to 8% of a Resistance or up to 3% Elemental. So you can put into the search box something like % fire to find the Fire Res ones. Then if you want to only look for the higher ones, do 7% fire and 8% fire and just keep those. Or whatever you want the cut off to be. I've been keeping 6+ so far, but I'm going to start doing only 7+ soon.

The Humble and Stout Idols can have up to 17% of a Resistance or ... 8% Elemental? You'd have to check the value range in game and double check that one. Anyway, same idea. 16% light and 17% light find the high lighting resist ones, get rid of the ones below your cut off. Repeat for whatever else you want.

Unfortunately the game doesn't do Regex in the search box like PoE, so it's a bit more work.

For the Grand, Large, Ornate, Hudge, and Adorned. I'd just keep what has a stat for a build you want to play - when you get too many, start only keeping the high rolls. If you aren't sure what you want to play, just keep the high rolls or something. You'll end up with way too many otherwise.

I have a problem with my loot filter. I can't get idol recoloring working. I made it work with other items just not idols. i don't have any guides but the simple tldr
if you're going to craft, the item needs to have forging potential - every alteration you make to the item will reduce forging potential
you have prefixes and suffixes on the item, and those have shards tied to them
you can upgrade the prefixes and suffixes (or the general term for both being affixes) using shards of that type
once you run out of forging potential that's it
everything else is a matter of reading what the alterations do. glyphs modify some things about the upgrade, runes do specific things instead of using an affix shard

Yeah, their respective element, effect and usually one or two extra depending on for example uniques that perhaps amplify a dot such as Frostburn through freeze rate or things like Atropy's Penetration against All Resistances for Damage Over Time, I don't know all of them though. Please be aware that some dots are sadly stack capped such as Time Rot, while some aren't. You can find that data in the in-game game guide.

@wide frost No, it must be the same general base type. Any 2H Axe that's Exalted with exactly 4 Affixes -> LP Apathy's Maw.

Corruption also has very slightly increases the odds of unique items having Legendary Potential or Weaver's Will.

But you're also just getting more Uniques, so more drop chances and more shots at that LP item.

@warped gyro Your image link doesn't appear to work. Rune of Research Seals the Affix. Sealing moves the Affix to a special slot, opening up that slot to have a new Affix added. The Sealed Affix is still on the item, but can no longer be crafted on.

@potent rover Those are both global drops, you can get them from anywhere. I think you're confusing what the guides are referring to as "target farm" - that just means you can get additional drop chances by doing the Monoliths that may have the echo rewards that give a random Unique/Set item of a certain type. For example, if you do The Black Sun timeline, you can find echo rewards for random Unique/Set Shield. But they are just extra drop chances.

@turbid valley No specific date has been given. There's just been this post that mentioned 1.1 having "pinnacle" content - like harder boss fights. <#news message> Other ARPGs with Seasons/Leagues have them typically around 3-4 months. So I'd expect it to be somewhat similar.

@dense smelt Purple items are Exalted - which are items that dropped with at least one T6-T7 Affix on it. They can potentially be better than your rare items and over time you'll replace all your rares with exalted items. Exalted items are also used in Legendary item crafting. Different monoliths give different possible blessings. First mono only has drop rate blessings.

@mystic quest Yes, any world drop is valid. If it says it only drops off a boss then you can't get those via ascension.

@deep owl Glyphs of insight can be used to try to convert an affix to experimental.

@plush peak No. But if you raise the Corruption high in one timeline, the others will have bonus corruption on the Shade to help them catch up to that higher one.

@maiden star I'm not sure about full screen, but for bordless full scren: Try going to Settings -> Gameplay -> scroll down and turn on "Lock Cursor to Game Window".

@clear siren Just random bonus for clearing the echo without dying. If you die, you don't get the chest. You also don't get the echo reward if you die.

Run side to side, don't stop moving. There's 2 types of beam. One beam is not telegraphed really, but his eye turns red and he quickly beams. To avoid that one, you just keep moving so he hits the spot you were just at. The 2nd type of beam is well telegraphed. Eye turns red and he starts moving his head toward one side then the beam will sweep in the opposide direction as his head moved.

@misty laurel Ward Generation / Retention(Or int, as it gives 4% retention per point) and threshold. Most people are abusing the affix that causes you to lose a % of your hp then gain a % of your missing HP as ward.

@mystic quest As long as you're using the same type (e.g. ring for ring, amulet for amulet, 1h axe for 1h axe) you can get world drop uniques via ascension, you just can't get boss drops.

Depends. Uniques being common does not mean the LP is common. Every unique has a legendary potential and different LP chances. Some are virtually impossible to get at 3 (much less at 4) even with CoF 😦

@cedar sky Do you have Shadowslip passive in Shift? That gives you invulnerability while Shifting. But I would recommend you just stay away from his eye. If he starts pointing his eye towards you or starts ducking down, try to get away from where he's looking.

Oh it is perfectly possible, and CoF doubles the chances of a unique having LP 🙂 so you are good. Just be realistic with your expectations. If you are curious about any unique in particular you can look it up in last epoch tools, it'll say the specific chances for each LP value.

@brittle hearth You probably should make sure you've got capped cold/lightning resist, but learn the fight if you don't have a teleport or you'll just die when you start trying to kill him in monoliths/corruption. Watch his head and the sweep beam can be outrun easily as long as you see where he's going to start laying it down.

@cedar night Just doing physical damage is not the prereq for doing bleed, even magic spells that do purely non-phys damage can bleed. Get % chance to bleed on your gear for instance, or skills/passives that increase chance to bleed.

@cedar night If you have generic chance to bleed on hit, then anything that hits will stack bleed - including spells. Everything that is not Damage over Time hits. In regards to your damage question:

just make an early game filter and a seperate end game filter and toggle between. If you have a current filter that is letting too much through just copy it and edit the copied version and then you can always revert back without having to go import one or remake one

@cedar night Can't speak for that particular interaction as I've never done it myself but generally that's how it should work, the axes you fling out should have XX% to inflict bleed on hit like everything else.

@dreamy fractal Probably not if you're going to be sticking to one class guaranteed per cycle. Just make sure you don't filter any exalteds just because another class exalted can be used to make you a legendary as long as it doesn't have class specific mods on it.

@eternal sigil Yes but there is a cap at 10 levels, if you go higher than 10 levels then your xp is penalized.

I'm new to the game. Looked up a void knight warpath build as I enjoy 1 button builds and I'm quite always playing the spin2win character.

I'm Level 86 with Monoliths done (first run, I unlocked the corruption part or how it's called). My gear is pretty bad I think.

What should I do now? I created Loot filters for "perfect Items" according to the build guide I have but i think these are not really end game optimal Items as the equip has no legendarys/uniques at all and just plain normal stuff which I could farm in the early levels. Even after 60h of playtime I only found 2 "perfect" Items (2 affixes are correct and the item is the correct one). I think maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Farm the content you're able to farm and incrementally improve your gear, then push corruption and higher tiers of arena and dungeons. Defenses become increasingly important in harder content
