@thorn ermineWhat do you mean "appear before"? If you mean in terms of zone level, I think if you can find one T6 affix on an item you could hypothetically find 2-4 T6 affixes as well. So technically you could find two T6s on an item before you find a T7, but you'll likely advance to the areas where T7 drops become more common and find one before you find a double T6. But I'm not entirely sure of the odds and when/where they can appear.

yes. LOL. ie, all three of those will scale your lightning based attacks. Spell damage obviously has the advantage that it will scale your other spells, and elemental will scale any cold and fire based skills.

@astral arch Yes. Lagon, even in campaign, is intended to be a mechanic check. There are two attacks, the white circle on the ground, and the "moon beam" breath attack that are intended to oneshot you if you don't dodge them.

You run echoes (maps/missions) until you have enough stability (on top of the monolith screen) to be able to start the quests, there are 3 quests you can start on your left, the last one is a boss and unlocks other monoliths

Stability bar at the top, has markers at three points, 3 quests at the left, will tell you how much stability you need for each. Do echoes. Gain stability. When the bar gets to the right level, do quests. Final quest is a boss, do fight, gain blessing, complete timeline, move on to next timeline. In empowered monos, you have the option to skip the first two quests and just do the boss when you have enough stability.

@keen dragon No, it does fire and cold in addition to doing lightning. All three of the afixes you mentioned will scale your lightning, and they all behave the same way... ie 50% in any of them will give you 50% scaling on your lightning attacks. all three of them together will give you 150%, etc... spells also add the same scaling to all your spells as well, and elemental also adds the same scaling to any other cold and fire based attacks in addition to your lightning based attacks.

@soft flint I dont have the experience of getting unique from gambling, you can target farm on Reign of Dragon for Unique/Set Melee weapon nodes, but i wouldn't rely too much on it, and use Rune of ascendency on Dagger. Rune of ascendency is the most reliable way on getting a specific unique especially when theres not alot of unique under that category

With respect to scaling a lightning skill, there is no difference. 50% in any of them will scale your lightning based skill by 50%. 50% in two of the three will scale 100% and all three 150%. The only difference is that lightning scales only lightning, and spells and elemental scale other things as well. But for lightning, they're all the same.

No application can ever make your PC restart. If your PC is restarting, you have a hardware problem, or an overheating problem, or a driver problem. Applications can crash to desktop, but never reboot your PC. Only a kernel crash or hardware can do that.

It could be a lot of things, but a forced restart could be to protect a CPU from overheating. You def want that to happen vs burnt out CPU. May need to clean PC or replace the CPU thermal paste. But again.. It could be a lot of other things.

I made it to empowered monoliths the other night using an endgame shatterstrike build from maxroll. Trying to get any unique that will enhance my build at all feels like a serious chore. It's possible, or not impossible anyway, but it's not very likely. My #1 suspect would be heat. This game drives your GPU hard, at least for me, it's the most GPU intensive game I own by a long shot, so if there's any heat problem there, it would be extra likely to show up on this game over others. But you can try backing out your drivers to see if it helps. Personally I'm not hopeful. Forced reboots are definitely not a common thing and not inherently specific to the game or a specific application. Anything that drives your machine hard should do it... like try a GPU stress test application, I expect that will give you the same result.

Just doing them is progression. Some people suggest completing the right side monoliths, and then the top three monoliths first. As that will unlock empowered monoliths for all monoliths. Certain monoliths drop more of certain items. This can help you target upgrades for specific slots.

regular monoliths, just do them once each asap to unlock empowered. In empowered monos, target farm the best blessings in order which benefits your character most(I would recommend all resists blessing). Once you have all the blessings, try to target farm uniques in monos that have a useful blessing that you can try to get max roll and push your corruption has high as you can. Having one mono at high corruption speeds up the rest. I'd say go for unique boots is most likely to get you a useful unique while you push corruption if you aren't 100% sure where to go, spirits of fire has some solid blessings as well

I have a niche question, I'm playing with my fiance, and she loved in a previous game (wont mention the name) , that she could say freeze and enemy and I could do more damage to it because it was froze, or things of that nature. Basically she loves feelings like she can contribute to a true "co-op" helping either other and her impacting my gameplay as well. While I also find that quite fun, I'm not as familiar with this game as I'm new and I was hoping someone could point me towards things of that nature. Is there anything in this game that can "proc" another characters effects when playing together?? Resistance capping is considered mandatory in PoE because the closer a player gets to cap the more valuable each percent of resistances becomes. Going from 0% to 1% results in a gain of 1% damage reduction, but going from 50% to 51% is a 2% damage reduction. Going from 74% to 75% is a 3.8% reduction.

Enemy Resistance Penetration changes the value of Resistances in LE. Against level 75 or higher enemies, going from 74% to 75% Resistance is only 1% damage reduction. The overall reduction is also lower, with 75% resistances meaning 75% reduction in PoE, but only 42.8% in LE. Overall, this means that while resistances are still important in LE, capping them is not as necessary as PoE.

I don't understand that last paragraph (this bit: with 75% resistances meaning 75% reduction in PoE, but only 42.8% in LE). Is there something else going on apart from the area level monster pen?

There are some abilities that support but you're probably better off at looking into something that can stack something useful that your SO's character can use to do more damage like being able to apply large amounts of shred armor stacks, or shredding resistances.

@sturdy yacht Generally you want both, flat damage is good to stack the more % damage you've got because it's multiplicative.

@fast forge It takes a while, I don't know the exact time but it's slow going. As long as you're grouped with your friend consistently you'll make progress towards a resonance drop and you can freely gift items that drop on maps you're both on.

Agreed, but probably by design. The filter creator couldn't possibly know exactly what will be an upgrade for your char's progression. A ton of variables. I think they tend to show a lot, but only highlight the items that you really should look at and think about picking up.

Many filters wil show yellow items, but they are just to mouseover quick or even ignore. My filter will mark an exalted purple so I know to pick it up, maybe.. Then uniques orange, sets green. Then the items that have two of a priority stat will be marked red.

If I found a filter that didn't show much, I'd be incredibly weary about it.

Get prophecies with lenses that specifically target the gear you're after, go for monoliths that drop helms at the end as base, do higher corruption for more frequent exalt drops, trade for them in merchants, this is easily one of the best games when it comes to target farming, sometimes you just gotta get lucky is your loot filter one you got from a build? Sometimes they set them too strict and can cause you to miss decent stopgap gear, so might be worth opening it up and adjusting it to your liking. Epoch is also one of the best games when it comes to ease of access for managing the loot filter, seems daunting but can be understood quite easily when you're looking through it properly

1- Close the game and Steam.

2- Go to the Windows search bar and search for "cmd". You should see in the result an application named "Command prompt". Open it as an administrator.

nope, you can’t get shards for experimental affixes, you can upgrade normal affixes into experimental ones with a unique glyph though. Sealing affixes is a different aspect entirely where you use a certain scroll that when upgrading an affix has a chance to seal it moving it to its own 5th slot on the item. The chance for this to happen is rarer the higher the tier of the affix but even sealing a tier 2 or 1 affix is useful as you still have 4 normal affixes on top

@warm palm prism wraps are a global drop, so you could get them anywhere, including from Rune of Ascendance. If you wanted to try and "target farm" unique body armor, the Timeline Blood, Frost, and Death can have echoes that award a random Unique/Set body armor for additional drop chances.

You have to fight the shade of orobyss. The further away from the center you do that, the more your corruption increases. Killing him will reset your echo web though and add a new node next to the center to lower corruption again. The node to fight him looks like a pyramid and is found at the edges.

@lunar yoke no you can't change the implicits, outside of re-rolling the values within their ranges. You can look at items like Temple Staff that only has Spell, Mana Regen, and -Mana implicits. That's what I had on my Runemaster in 0.9.2.

@sullen token generic critical strike applies to anything that hits, including spells that hit. Just not damage over time. If you have something that specifies spell crit, then that's only spells.

press M where you see your quests, below that shows you how many you got so far. the middle 1 does not unlock btw, and there are 15 total points you can get and 8 idol slots you can unlock. if you were doing side quests and quests solely up til 52, you probably gotten all of them.

@low lava someone mentioned earlier if you re-run the dungeon it's there still. I personally haven't tested that, though.

@dim garnet if you're looking at something about "target farm" and it's not a boss-only drop, then you can get that anywhere, including Rune of Ascendance. The target farm refers to how that timeline may have echo rewards that can give you extra random drop chances of that Unique/Set item type.

@magic hornet yes, it gives you the choice between regular or empowered when you click on a Monolith. It also saves your regular and empowered echo web, corruption, etc separately.
