but you grab that early on enough that it's not too bad to just make something of every mastery you're interested in and test drive them a bit

I saw PoE's skill tree and bounced off the first time
but after I discovered that I like ARPGs I managed to stick for a little longer until the difficulty dislodged me
I eventually went back but the game is just ugly to me. Not the graphics per se, but the art style. I don't like the way tooltips look (Too bloated by default) and the cosmetics are too busy.
i've only ever gotten as far as mid-tier mapping, which isn't even endgame really

hey guys, I found this info about drop source of body armor named Fundamental Criterion. Does that mean I can't get it from rune of Ascendence and it only drops from echo reward "Unique or Body Armour" at Blood, Frost and Death ?
I realise some echo reward "Unique Item" at Blood, Frost and Death, is there a chance I get Fundamental Criterion from thats kind of reward instead ?
all non-boss uniques can be an output of Rune of Ascendance
generic "unique item" rewards can also give this item
but you're best off farming "Unique Body Armor" reward echoes
in Blood, Frost and Death

Does Sigils of hope benefit a lightning jav/smite? It says it converts all sources of ignite (and I think fire damage in the tool tip) to electrify and lightning damage respectively, but I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss something
Sigils is one of those stupid skills that benefits almost everything a Pally / VK does in some way
if nothing else you will like it for the free +100% inc damage or the block chance and effect, or the regen or the healing effect
the ignite chance boost from Sigils will be converted to Electrify with the resp. node in Jav tree (or a Tu'rani's)

so you're more likely to drop uniques, which can then roll LP
however the new corruption system in 1.0 will also "slightly" (as per the wording) affect LP chance

Mana consumed (such as by proccing skills) doesn't count as mana spending

Tanky builds
I'm coming from PoE and wonder if there is a playstile similar to Righteous Fire Chieftain in Last Epoch?
RF Chieftain, is basically a very tanky class (90% in all Res & massive HP-regen) with a skill that creates a fire aura around yourself (Righteous Fire). The gameplay is pretty relaxed, you move from pack to pack, killing mobs with the fire dot from the aura and have a chance to explode them on death.
I’ve been trying Paladin, but I haven't gotten far. But it seems to have some resemblance with being a tanky and sustainable class. I’ve used Warpath since it's a pretty smooth aoe skill. Reading online it seems that the Sentinel isn’t as tanky as I thought? Has this changed? The posts are quite old.
why're my graphic settings bugging out? anyone know how to fix?
Judgement is the closest thing to RF you're going to do well with, so Paladin is fine. there's a node in its tree that turns its fire spell component into an aura, but you still have to reuse it every few seconds. Aura of Decay is exactly RF with the permanence and self damage, but currently it is terrible.
Sentinel not being tanky is correct, due to weird balance stuff it's probably the least tanky class right now if comparing the suite of optimal builds. basically, it specialises in health, block and armour but
- health is inferior to ward at the moment
- block is numerically hard to invest in right now
- everyone gets lots of armour
in addition, because sentinel's mastery classes are some of the oldest in the game they just aren't up to the standards of the new ones, and especially in the tank stakes there isn't much of the straight damage reduction that other classes get
mind you, the Rebuke skill allows you to become impossible to kill by pressing a button so that's the tank trump card Sentinel has
also none of this really matters until you get deep into the endgame
(also also basically everyone here knows PoE, you can safely refer to PoE stuff without explaining them)

blade dancer, druid and rune master all have claims to that title, don't think it's fair to pick between them

druid gets very tanky passively, blade dancer is a mixture of passive and cooldowns, rune master is more cooldowns and also constantly using skills to generate ward

also sentinel has interesting things to do with higher gears levels since you can have 100% block and cover your whole health bar with endurance at the same time
I'm playing without following a build guide, now i'm trying empowered monolith. Can clear some of them, but I die way too many times and lose a lot of rewards. Is it "viable" to just farm normal monolith to get better gear/level? Most of my gear is T20 and/or with 1 T6, although i invested alot in damage and not so much in defense. Basically i just want to know if T6/T7 on good bases can drop in normal monolith or the drop rate is so low it's not really viable to farm those

a paladin can give a lot of buffs to an ally without sacrificing any selfish stats. Nothing game changing but it's nice to have

for most of the uniques the chance of getting a 3 lp drop is very small
like maybe not "astronomically" small but given that it rolls against all drops of that specific unique, it's up there
for a 50-60 lpl unique that would be in range of <0,1% off the top of my head

If I get added fire damage, would it increase base damage of a fire tagged skill even though its base damage is physical dmg and not fire dmg ?
flat damage gets added to all skills of an applicable type, so say if you got +10 melee fire damage it would get added to a physical melee skill (but not to a fire spell, or a physical spell for that matter)

Damage type increases, and adaptive flat damage
Eg: If you get +20 flat meele damage, the 20's damage type will depend on your skill's damage type tag.

EG: changing a skill from physical to fire means that the skill itself now doesn't have any physical, it's purely fire

depends on your build and gear, 85-90 wouldn't be unusual but perhaps you can do it earlier
leveling gets real slow after 90-92 so it doesn't matter that much

i have a quest i need to collect wengari bile in the wengaro fortess. When i am there after a short time the quest marker tell me to go somewhere else an when it say i neeed to go the the wengaro fortess again. I clean all monster still no wengari bile
there is one specific mob that drops it in the area north-west of the entrance to arena zone
you need to kill it and once it updates in your quest log you can safely ignore the marker

Also, items sell for shit. Picking up 100 gold is worth more than an inventory's worth of items.

there is no difference between cycle and legacy, besdies cycle is a forced fresh start with leaderboards
For trading, you are probably best off in the cycle where there's a fresh economy. In legacy, there will be a lot of people with tons of gold already.

Are the Blood Infusion/Marrow Drinker nodes from Rip Blood bugged? I notice Rip Blood can still be cast on enemies with Marrow Drinker allocated so i'm not sure if i'm actually granting the Blood Infusion buff to minions when casting Rip Blood at them.

in case anyone is wondering, i think you will need to unspec Marrow Drinker to effectively buff as many minions as possible, and Blood Infusion seems to apply just fine, because there is a noticeable difference between how much minions leech before and after casting Rip Blood.
Because if you cast it on a minion, that minion is not getting buffs.
Splatter does not hit the initial rip blood target.

Do we roundabout know the base chance of exalted item drops to put the 25% rare to exalted conversion from current rank 8 CoF into perspective? Intuitively it feels like that is an increase of at least 10x the amount of natural exalted item drops, but maybe I remember drops in endgame wrong.
when legendary crafting a 2H sword, exalted item also needs to be a 2H sword, or any 2H weapon is good?

I'm currently (re)leveling in campaign and thought I needed to (try to) max my resistances... but they said I only needed as much resistance as the arealevel.. is this true?
More res will be helpful but it's not done the same way as PoE.
Enemies penetrate 1% resistance per area level up to 75%, and enemies are balanced around 0% effective resistance after penetration.

good way to think of it, yes
It depends. Getting some resistance is good, but you will have to consider the opportunity cost. If you you have the choice between being 10% off cap in all resistances and 25% more maximum life vs being res capped you're probably better off choosing the former. In PoE you'd choose the latter.

that kind of choice realistically doesn't happen. 70% all res is kinda huge, it's half the all-res Blessing
but yes, especially for less common damage types like poison / necrotic, not being capped at the expense of other defensive layers is fine mostly

I'm playing around with falconer throwing builds, and looking at the most top right 3 point node bonus, 2% more damage per slow, being max 3 stacks = 6% more damage - seems a bit little for being the cap stone passive doesn't it? And slow duration isn't really needed, since we can stack it fast enough.

You're putting stacking debuff on the enemy. You'll see it under their health bar. It doesn't matter where the debuff is coming from.

Not that I know of. Most things in terms of the like damage between types are balanced enough. Poison is the outlier for worst right now, prior to 0.9 it was objective best though.

Humm, Windfury Strikes says that it casts a tornado everytime it reachs 6 stacks, so I think that I do have multiple tornados on top of me. The node from the skill itself is probably related to the previous node that gives you chance to cast one additional tornado
The dungeons have rotating rewards every 24hrs, with some mods making the enemies or the boss drop more exalted items of a particular kind

Note that the AppData folder is hidden by default. To see it, you'll need to do Windows button -> type file explorer options and press enter -> go to View tab -> select the radio button "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" and press OK.
Another way to access that folder is to type %appdata% into the File Explorer address bar and then push the up arrow and go into the LocalLow folder to find the Eleventh Hour Games folder. That may also around appdata being hidden by default.

Yes, there's an in game stash that you can access in the towns. You can purchase additional stash tabs using the in game gold you find while playing.

You'll keep your current online characters online, they'll just be in a standard / legacy mode that is separate from the optional Cycle. If you decide to make a Cycle character(s), separate stash. When that Cycle ends, the characters are moved into the regular standard online mode.

Does the minion tab info not update like the Damage tab does?
I'm trying to see what my damage / attack speed / crit chance is for my minion while buffing using either a Frenzy Totem or Aspect of the Lynx, but neither seem the affect the minion tab info.
While the damage tab (character damage not minion) does seem to change.
depends on how its worded...but the character menu only shows global modifiers. if you frenzy totem says "companions" it will not show on the c menu, since its not all minions

First time playing aRPGs, is it expected to be in need of crafting better gear through the campaing? I am following a build guide, about lvl 57 but I feel I get destroyed by mobs. I imagined I would need to dive into crafting after I reached max, but I suppose I am wrong.
depending on your build and your luck you don't absolutely need to craft until about that level, but really you should be crafting from very early on. most shards are so common that you don't have to worry about running out
general thing as well, waiting until max level to do things is not something you do in any of the current arpgs. they all treat max level as a stretch goal rather than needing it to do endgame content
you can do the hard content in LE at level 90 give or take, same in PoE or D4

you should only be picking up either things that you can use, or things that have affixes you want via shattering
if you're filling up with shards, press the button to move them to crafting storage
during the story there is so little worth picking up and holding onto that your inventory shouldn't fill up once if you're playing "optimally"

the only modifier keys are for interacting with items. Shift + right click to sell or stash items, ctrl + alt to see item affix details
in combat you just need to left click to move and press single buttons for skills

there aren't but you're doing yourself a disservice by trying to get it in normal instead of empowered
You're only seeing 3 choices instead of 4-5 (and slot 1 has a different pool to the others so can't be hunger)
and the farming you're doing to get to the boss is much less worthwhile
And the regular blessing are all lower value range than the empowered blessings

even the worst roll empowered blessing will be better than the best roll regular blessing

Hey Everyone, I just started the game recently and am having some weird FPS issues only with certain areas/enemies in the game. One is in the Keepers Vault at the beginning where the Boulders drop my fps goes from 120 straight down to 30. The same happens whenever I encounter Quillhogs in the Ulatri Highlands. I been messing with all graphic settings and nothing seems to help it at all. Are these known issues with these types of environments? I have Ryzen 5 5600x with a 6600xt and 16gb 3200mhz ram playing at 1080p. Im well above recommended specs. Also noticed when I check whats going on its like the game doesnt utilize my GPU during those times dropping to 9% while my CPU sky rockets. Its really weird.

How would we know if there's a good build for you without a respec when we don't know what you're playing

We also don't know what all changes are coming in 1.0 to uniques and possible changes to skills / trees
So something that's strong now could end up being worse than it is currently
and something not that good could end up being actually decent or strong even
So just pick something you like

I'm a little bit lost with MaxRoll gear progression inside builds. They ask you to work on your empowered blessings while you look for good T20 rares. However, by the time I reached empowered mono, I was already drowning in exalteds. Anyone had the same experience or I'm just slow with mono progression?

yep just because they drop doesnt mean they will be better than t20 rares with bis affixes, you have to use some brain there and compare if they actually worth equipping over bis rares
from my experience maybe u get 1-2 good exalts, but definetly not even half of inventory but tbf i reach empowered monos even before the level needed for top tier bases
no, no stats interact with the internal cooldowns on passives or items. Cooldown reduction only affects skills on your hotbar
isnt it better to have the 35% less damage of time taken stat? guess im confused as to why its the first number in the stat
35 is better. guessing because this is what happens in PoE, it's actually "-35% to -15% more damage taken" and -35 is smaller so appears first

Helllo All ive had this game for a while. lately ive been working on a mage. primarily lightning. I dont ever look at builds or any websites just fyi. Im having trouble with my Mage. He just doesnt do the same amount of damage in raw spell power vs melee or for example my same lvl forge guard character. Any ideas? im staking a lot of sp, intel, lightning and still feels so weak with mobs with a lot of hp.. not looking for build ideas just and understanding of why lightning sp is so weak

It’s possible to specialize lightning blast in a way that is better vs groups of enemies or single target which might be why it feels lackluster vs high health enemies

Eventually you'll transition into an Aberrant Call with minion spell damage slammed on it. That's objectively the BiS weapon for that build.

If a player character (offline) is lost during a power outage is there a known method for retrieval? (the character doesn't show up on character select, but I dunno if maybe I could use steam cloud to get the character back or if maybe there was another method)

I was enjoying this extremely, like more than most games I have played in a very long time, right up until I got to the Lagon fight in the third whisper. In phase three with all the lightning, and waves, and the white slam circles and stuff; it was just a blur of grey. I have a mild visual disability which for most stuff isn't a problem, but I got to that and in that phase it was just white noise on screen.
As an older gamer, I knew I wouldn't be pushing top level content, but is it going to be that the entire end game is completely locked out for anyone with any form of visual disability because you are 100% expected to be able to see and react perfectly?
Is this another game that should have come with a "If you are suffering from any negative effects of a disability or age, this game has been specifically designed to prevent you from being able to engage with a large portion of it's content."

I am playing a tanky built, resistances close to cap. Been working on armor and stuff like that, not stopping me dying in P3 because I can't see anything... it's just noise. It's the visual equivalent of trying to talk to someone in a night club.

armor avoid reductions etc
lots more than just resists to take into account
but again if you've been going fine and its only lagon thats been giving you trouble
I would suggest playing a summoner type build, so that way you can focus on just avoiding enemies and buffing your minions
the Primalist and the Necromancer are good classes for this
he's generally one of the top pains in the ass anyway
I have been working on all of those as well, but I will probably need to give up on the "fun" build, or get a carry.

It seems like another game where the developers are ignoring the concept of "I am going to get old one day too"
ngl even as a non-visually impaired person the particle effects covering the screen make it hard to see things if not most of the time then at least a good amount of the time, especially with some builds. There should absolutely be settings to tone down the amount of visual clutter, like scale sliders for individual particles or something.
does setting the graphics to low do nothing to help?
I am playing a druid, and loving it; but it's just I can't avoid the damage, because I can't see what is going on.
