killing shades of orobyss resets the timeline and raises corruption
so i could technically just keep fighting him in the beginning?
you're better off just killing timeline bosses (the quest echo on the left) until you unlock empowered monoliths
complete the three level 90 echo timelines at the top and then go to the island where they intersect
empowered monoliths start at 100 corruption and do not have a corruption cap
normal timelines start at 0 and cap at 50 corruption

Question about corruption system. After defeating Orobyss on second attempt i received only +5 corruption. Is it ok or i just need to kill him on first try to get more corruption? Or i should fight him only when I'm really really far from starting point?
You get more corruption the further away from start he is
But you're capped at 50corruption in normal monos
For more corruption, fight him as far away as possible.

Omnis is a boss drop only
Rune of ascendance doesn't care about base type, only item type
so a silver amulet can become a unique ruby amulet
but yes it cannot give boss drops

The best way is to search for an item that already has 2 or so affixes you want and then crafting on that

Early level just look for anything even slightly useful, you won't have a ton of crafting materials that soon

while playing through the campaign I would look for wands/scepters that have spell damage or whatever type of damage I'm dealing, then craft more damage mods on it

Hello guys, bought a game recently and cannot login for multiple days, getting our servers are experiencing additional load due to unusual levels of traffic message, is there any solution for this?
does this mean when all res are equal, that they deal all that dmg?
I've seen people complain that it's bugged, thankfully it doesn't actually gate your access to crafting or anything, you can safely ignore it
individual runes aren't a big deal, if you want to target a specific item through them, better stock up at least a few dozens
the worse the item's quality, the lower its crafting potential tends to be. You should aim for crafting on rares and exalteds
crafting materials are abundant so the opportunity cost of crafting at low level is essentially zero

I think someone here said that weapon "base" attack speed is just treated like increased attack speed, i.e. a weapon with 1.14 aps is really just 14% increased attack speed (and therefore addititve with other sources of incr attack spd). But the guide I'm reading on maxroll says differently. Can someone confirm which is correct?

Weapon base attacks per second is multiplied by increased attack speed
I think it's confusing because the char screen shows an "increaed attack speed" stat, and it is affected by weapon base speed

there is no reason why you can't set up your own filter, it's really easy
start with filtering out shit rarities like white and blue
You can also try to use the Filter from LE Tools i use it and im very happy with it it filters out a lot and helps me farm resources with diferent recolooring
then you can also filter out all rares, then add a rule (or a few rules) above them to show items with relevant affixes
how does that work cause when i try to make my own or use someone elses i feel like im missing something
then you can further split them up by item type, i.e. only showing chests on relevant bases and with relevant affixes
you can later refine it further by adding affix tier conditions and such
or by adding rules to show valuable loot for known alts/offspecs
you don't need to have a pimped out filter from day 1, start working on it iteratively
how could you tell if you miss something what you cant see XD
good point which is why you should start with less restrictive filters and narrow them down as you near endgame and/or get more general experience with the game
I'd also not filter out any uniques or exalteds in your spot
You can always add that later once you are overflowing in those drops
Yo! New here. I've got a build idea but I'm unsure about some mechanics and it would be great if you could help me out. Here's the idea: Flame rush + Glyph of Domination at destination + Runic Invocation (Antipode of Mesembria) on exit -> Finish Flame Rush into Focus for full mana and Runes -> rinse and repeat.
How does this sound like?
- My main issue is that this build idea looks good for building channeling bonuses like +spell damage while channeling. BUT I don't know whether those channeling bonuses affect the Runic Invocation since I'm not channeling at the exact moment it is cast via Flame Rush exit.
- Will the +area node in Glyph of Domination work with the Runic Invocation in this build since the glyph doesn't exist anymore when Antipode of Mesembria explodes?
- Is the cast delay before Antipode of Mesembria explodes affected by casting speed or something else?
I already tried testing these but couldn't get any conclusive results because it's so hard to tell. I also tried to search the discord but couldn't find definite answers. Is this a kind of question I can use the ask-the-devs channel for, or is that a bad idea? Should I refer to the Mage channel aswell? Sorry I dunno the protocols here (please advise). I just thought a question about mechanics could be answered by the larger community.

I am looking for an item that would replace critical strike chance (or multiplier) by something else for a build (Could be Phys/Fire/Cold whatever damage, could be % crit multi over 100= armor or whatever, just something that replaces crit chance by something else, or not replaces it, but the stat gives something else on top of that ?)

1 - the problem is that glyph on destination significantly reduces speed and fluidity/qol of flame rush, so it's not very playable in practice. But in theory this could work, other than low sustained dps against single targets like bosses. The clear should be OK.

I was just trying to stack wards like stupid with wards on hit + wards on haste with a 17 multishot build *(15% chance to haste per hit) * based on Flurry, but the gloves that give ward on hit don't allow you to crit hence why my question 
They don't straight up give ward on hit sry they give chance of haste on hit, and that's what I was trying to stack*

it seems to be an XML file, but I doubt nodes will work in a way they're not intended for
you can kinda achieve it with multiple rules but it gets extremely clunky and tedious to maintain fast

most of maxrolls stuff is done at lvl 70. but you can really do it whenever you have the gear. some people just level with the endgame build and dont bother with the leveling guides tbh
tbh I'd just recommend to level in thorn totems anyways, shift to the spriggan form variant once you have the unique that trivializes rage
then you can gradually adjust to the final build as you level up and farm the other unqiues
personal playstyle preference. maxroll only really puts out top tier builds and stuff
look at the final build, start with filling out damage nodes at low levels, survivability later on
like you sure as hell don't need the bm splash for aspect of the boar on like level 40

no. its based off of your damage. if you do 1 million dps, it gets 5% as an example...if you do 2 million then it gets like 7% or whatever.
there really isnt a way to overcome it

It's intended objective is to prevent you from hyper bursting it down.
It works, some what.
No way around it. If you kill a boss in less than a minute, their EHP is maxed. If it takes you 10 minutes, the boss has less EHP... the system doesn't really do much due to the time scale.
Well, one thing the system does very well is it makes % kill thresholds very effective
since bosses have the most DR when their health is at lower %s, kill threshold skips the part of the boss healthbar that has the most DR (if you kill reasonably fast, that is)

+9 melee phys damage just adds 9 physical to whatever base your melee skill does
which then gets multiplied by whatever % phys you have
oh thats why the base is higher than my other one
flat is almost always the best thing to get on melee builds
On nearly anything that's not an ailment build, flat damage is super important

yea
campaign lagon is normally the first wall players meet build wise
you have good lightning and cold, but you also need some good phys and hp. res doesnt do much good if you only got like 500 hp.
on ranged builds you can stand in the lower corner on the stairs and avoid most of his attacks that way
you just need to dodge the meteor
most of his attacks are avoidable tho, he telegraphs them pretty easy

not yet. you can kinda make the helmet on a build planner site and manually put the affixes in your filter in game.

@tidal bear there is not a wipe - its working like other ARPG seasons/leagues where your existing toons move to a "Legacy" Cyrcle and Cycle 1 starts with release
worth is subjective - you'd learn a lot playing now - and you can play in Legacy after release if you so wish

I enjoyed the Hammerdin a lot but the fact that the Hammers vanish when they colide with half of the environment asset and mostly, thr ground like stairways is really pissing me off lmao.

this happens with noit just stairs sadly. rocks, bosses spawn zone like the ones that spawns in a Pillar, the pillar hitbox remains and block the hammrs to reach the boss. i had to push the boss away before spamming the hammer in order to kill it.
when it says like +30 melee damage on the base Item but you have +8 void but it doesnt have void melee damage in the base, does that still increase void melee damage or you need the affix

Melee damage with no types, adapts to the skill's type.
Eg: melee damage on void cleave will be void.

if your skill is void, yes
lets say you are using void warpath...2 void base on the skill. you add +8 void melee...that goes to 10 void melee base on tthe skill. then you add +30 melee. that adapts to whatever tags the skill has. so in void warpath, 2+8+30= 40 base void melee
now if you had lets say fire warpath. 2 base fire +30 adaptive melee. is 32 fire. and the +8 void would have the base dmg as 32 fire and 8 void.

I know there were some awards (cosmetics) slated for EA players. I also saw the post about the Deluxe and Ultimate editions that are coming out.
My question is:
As an early access purchaser, what is it exactly that I recieve? And what is different between that and what anyone who buys Deluxe or Ultimate receives, if anything?
I ask not because I think there should be gatekeeping, but because I can't find this information.

All the characters are still 'good guys', they just have different methods. It is a little disjointed though, and those intros will probably be redone.

Hi, I started today, had some fun and made some mistakes. Is Avarice needed for Runemaster? I messed quest and I don't know reset/or not.
It's an early leveling drop. You will become a Runemaster via the main quest progression. No items are needed to make a subclass nor is Avarice really useful beyond early campaign

Yo guys, I’m new and I read about the loot filters. There is a website offering premade loot filters. I’m a rogue and completely new to the game. My question is: wouldn’t it be stupid to not take everything I can drop so I can get as much gold as possible? Should I even take a loot filter if I don’t know a lot about the game?
Selling items to the vendor is purposefully not worth your time, they sell for very little
that way, you don't lose out by using the filter (or at least, using it appropriately)

picking up and selling items takes time, and time is the resource you need to care about. the number of potential items on the ground is infinite because areas can be reset infinitely.

Even if you find yourself needing it you can just roll another alt, do the quest and put it in the stash which is shared between your characters
In addition to what others have said, I'd recommend setting up your first loot filters yourself so that you are (a) more familiar with the loot filters themselves and (b) more familiar with how the game works so that if you have a problem with the filter, it's easier to detect and troubleshoot yourself
setting up a casual loot filter really doesn't take more than 5-8 simple rules
Alright. The biggest downside with these type of games is that they have a very very steep learning curve, I just hope I don’t F anything up 👍🏻

Only thing you can't change on your character is the class/mastery. Can't mess anything up permanently!
You can't really mess up in this. You can change everything except your initial class selection and which mastery you pick. You can redo your skills, your passives, your blessings, etc etc
If you later decide you want a different class or mastery, you'd make a new character

Hi! I'm a newbie player, started yesterday and am Running a runemaster at lvl 22 now.
I am not a seasoned player in this genre, but played a few other titles. I don't change my equipments very often in LE, is that correct or am I doing something wrong? In other games I usually had to change the weapon and armor every few lvl, but here I feel I don't have to and don't even find better equips. I am destroying some to get affixes and try to forge something nice, not sure if I am doing correctly.

tbh the campaign is easy enough that you probably don't need to change equipment much
in terms of getting better equipment, a lot of the power is in crafting but you won't necessarily have the resources to do a ton of crafting early on

Hi. Here is a question. Is there gonna be a Legacy server for people who wants to start fresh on a non-cycle fresh server where everyone will need to start fresh? Or there will be only one Legacy server with mix of old (characters that people were been playing over the years) and new ones that people will create on launch? I imagine there might be more people like me who are not interested in cycles, but still would like to play on a fresh server.

I don't think they are maintaining three servers, no. For the first few cycles they're going to just be base game additions and nothing "cycle exclusive" so for a while you can get that via cycle if you want.

Sure. It doesn't really matter that much though. Most people who push are gonna want to play cycle, legacy is primarily going to be the more time constrained or casual players.

Multiplayer hasn't existed for all that long, so the pre-0.9 people have been playing for less than a year at this point

so if you want to start fresh with other people starting fresh, a cycle will get you that and by the time the cycle is done, if you want to stay legacy you won't even know the difference really

it's useless, warpath's cooldown is extremely short and only occurs after you stop channelling it
not a built in one, you need to get a skill to dodge with if you want something other than running
thought so much. in PoE cooldown recovery affects maximum rate of achievable attacks per second so i was curious if that mattered in LE

Aurabots don't really exist in LE

no that's not correct, 'poison damage' applies to damage over time
there is actually no such thing as a poison hit, but the same is true for fire damage applying to fire dot, etc

Enemies receive 1% pen per area level up to 75 and are balanced accordingly
so at 75 res your effective res in the endgame is 0
which means having lower than cap is much less dangerous

But it's just a tip, not like something that suddenly happens

It's a low life build mod. You can negate the drain with leech, but then you're not getting any ward.
