you dont have to switch back, just do the relevant quest echoes in empowered
like you can just do the boss in fall of the outcasts for example
(im not sure how it works exactly in ending the storm but id imagine youd always need to do the second echo to unlock fall of the empire)

I see one that makes them target when they return

if you're a build that uses poison damage, and you keep stacking poison damage, is there a point when you start to get a diminishing return? like im at 318%, am i chill to keep stacking that? or should i add spell damage, which is at like 160%. how would i know which would be more worthwhile
Both will have equal value, but spell damage also makes the spell that applies poison do more damage
If your spell doesnt really do much damage then the two are the same
Though getting more chance to poison might have more value than stacking %damage

Well ultimately im playing a damage over time build, which is what im stacking most of, but i also scale from necroticic damage, poison damage, and spell damage. so trying to pick which one would be most impactful can be tough

You can put points in all masteries
you have the map, just not filled in
You just are limited to the first half of the ones you don't select
rogue, acolyte, and mage tend to mix skill trees less than sent and definitely primalist

So, just to clarify, if my character sheet goes from showing 0% Increased Poison Damage and Damage Over Time before applying a passive skill, and after it is applied the character sheet shows 10% Increased Poison Damage and Damage Over Time, the actual damage is 110%, not 121%?
Your character sheet is just some interesting info that doesn't accurately tell you at all how much damage you do. If you get a passive that increases your damage 5%, it increases it 5%. There's nothing to overthink here, it's always only just 5%.
Some passives are multiplicative and therefore affect your damage differently and won't even show up in your character sheet at all
Trust that the game itself does the math for you so you don't need to worry

If what you are saying is true, then the 7% node would be exclusively better. I was just confused because the 5% damage node added to both Poison Damage and Damage Over Time and was wondering if I actually got 5% in both, meaning I saw a total of 10% increased

Like I said, the character sheet doesn't work like that and isn't very accurate. Just trust the numbers in the passives.

Calculating dps is a headache though I wish they would show more damage info
A huge issue is a lot of skills not adding the base damage from tree/skill tree
For example my base lightning damage is probably 2x my base fire damage, but % fire still gives me more tooltip than % lightning
And yeah character sheet definitely omits a lot of %s from tree
Now I have two conflicting community members telling me whether 5% Damage or 7% Poison Damage is better for me haha. Might need to just go test it.
If the global damage affects both DoT and Poison, then its definitely better, but as I said, might need to just test it myself

No, I think it's just a confusion on how the character sheet splits things.
If my primary weapon has one affix that increases Poison Damage and one affix that increases Damage Over Time, it is obvious that those would both affect my poison damage. Both of them are reflected on my character sheet as well, so if these were my only sources of damage, and each had a roll of 100% increased, I would have an effective 200% increased poison damage.
My qualm is how % Damage is shown in the sheet,
If I have 0% increased Poison Damage and 0% increased Damage Over Time, then I apply a 5% Damage passive, my character sheet increases both Poison Damage and Damage Over Time by 5%, but apparently I can not read that increase in the same way as with the two different affix example earlier.
In one example, it is safe to add the two values to get your effective increase, and in the other, it is not

For any individual item, sure it's not too likely. But you will have plenty of scrolls of chaos, keep doing it on good bases you drop, especially Exalted ones

Yeah not quite yet! You'll start dropping purple gear - keep an eye out for good bases, but save every one you get

Buying stash tabs to store / organize your exalted items is one of the biggest gold sinks in the game

if my base smite crit chance is 23% what is that after the 28% crit chance from other sources
Your base is 5%, 28% is the current with all your bonuses
Increase to crit chance is an increase to that 5% base, so 100% increase just makes it 10% crit chance
If you hover over the crit chance it tells you sources, including passive
but thats before the nodes
Right so add up all those increases and multiple that base
so base 23% on smite then all the other multipliers like the 114% etc.?

What decides which points are removed when you unequip a + to skills item? I'm trying to use fragment of the enigma for running monos and replace it with a better single target offhand, but the points I lose aren't the same as the one I set with the bonus. It seems to always take the same skill, and neither of them have any other nodes that depend on them.

It's really not that RNG. Crafting is very deterministic. Gearing is pretty straightforward.
Some uniques are build defining, others are most definitely not. Sets are mostly underperforming across the board. Much less rng gearing than poe

Like many ARPG players, I'm a loot hoarder. Is there any reason to pick up all this random loot if I'm not going to use it? I was gonna sell them if nothing else but I'm not at the first town and my inventory full of blues/yellows adds up to like 1/5 the gold I've picked up off the ground.

Generally putting a "Hide everything" at the bottom, a "show unique/set" at the top and then dropping in what you want to see. Could include exalt/rare in the all at first, but generally rare will stop being useful for anything but shattering for shards you want.
Then gradually becoming more picky pending what you want. Potentially picking only specific bases for certain slots, limiting to a set of affixes...etc

Not sure. I heard Julra's stuff specifically always drops with 1 LP and is rare to have higher, uncertain if that's correct.
T4 will not give you higher LP
The likelihood of getting 4 LP for anything is low, but the higher the "effective level" the less chance, so definitely never count on getting that at 4 LP
Think of 4 LP as winning the lotto, and honestly 3 LP is going to feel like a lotto win too

You have to factor in that your increases are applying to them at a reduced rate as well

For Temporal Sanctum, the legendary craft is just limited by the area level. Example if you do the area level 55 Temporal Sanctum - the T2 one - you can craft legendaries with a required level up to 55.

Honestly confused about hungering souls fire node :
i got over 300% more necrotic damage, yet i am losing 80k dps and noticeable lower crit hits when i remove the fire node, so the 50% hit damage is adding alot more damage than 300% necrotic? and logically the stuff from marinas shouldnt be applying to the fire version, (+spell necrotic damage) Anyone got any insights for me here? i should be doing alot higher dmg/numbers without the fire node?
if you're talking about MA stats that boost you get multiplied by talents, stats that say minion something just get applied
but I don't know the formula additions/multiplications
flat necrotic is added and converted to fire. and "more" multipliers are A LOT better than "increased"
Also when you summon MA weapon get snapshotted, so you can summon with just Melee dmg/Atck speed whatever else you need, then equip the weapon with +minion dmg
And you will get both
Yes, there are more Passive and Idol unlock quests available than you need to cap. If you want to kill Majasa later you'll get +1 to all attributes. But you can always do that sometime later.
hmm alright so thats why, so my necrotic spell damage is actually boosting it still?(the increase necrotic damage tha ti have 300% more of)
think about it this way. going from 500 to 800 is a 60% increment, but that's only in one type of bonus. a 50% more multiplier means a 50% increment in all bonuses
it should. even if it's not converted, which I believe it is, it'd still be added, just increased by necrotic instead of fire. it works the same way with all skills
My question is if minion stats or my stats work on him when "applied". So he gets my helm stats for example. If one helm has 10% increased minion dmg and another has 10% increased physical how does that pan out? Does he get the minion bonus from me having that stat, but also gets it again b/c it's "applied" to him or does he ignore that b/c HE doesn't have minions of his own? Similarly, the 10% increased phys doesn't help on my end, but I assume he gets it for himself when "applied"

From my understanding and testing on dummy - 10% phys get multiplied. 10% minion just gets applied as 10%
well, you're losing penetration, other possible synergies, etc. it depends on how you build
Pretty sure since it's base conversion you won't scale the + necrotic with % fire stuff. But you will still scale it with spell % and the necrotic % will still scale that necrotic +. Still helps
yeah i am, but even with the penetration i wasnt doing nearly as big crits but testing on dummy is abit weird, since i am not sure how penetration works on dummy

yeah i use Rip blood aswell, so necrotic from my gear is boosting it too, but if i am losing a lot of single target damage for bosses due to removing fire node i guess ill have to keep, but need to test a boss twice once with and without see how the hits are
The Penetration on Marina wand is for the Possess debuff - which would instead be Ignite with that fire node

Yeah, it's still a good wand. The extra Damned stacks will up your Death Seal explosion damage - if you've got the node over on the right side of Death Seal
