Hungering souls ignite is good and pretty fun. @marsh maple has a guide on it that covers it really well.
anyone know who the highest arena player is that is legit?
no, nothing is legit
Amun at 26 and Tunk at 29 on the SC leaderboards are the first two I recognize and would trust as legit, then Lizard at 36.
It's possible some of the other higher up ones are legit, but I'd find it hard to trust most things over 1k that aren't a known community figure or someone streaming their runs.
especially on classes/builds that aren't some known broken interaction.
Perry the pig on hardcore.
The guy with level 106 character is a bit suss
Unless.... multiplayer leaked....0.9 new level cap confirmed!?!
When multiplayer goes live, will drops be shared or will players only see their own drops?
Both, drops in the same zone in a party can be gifted and will remember the players eligible even after you both leave the zone. And personal loot is still enabled you only see yours.
When is multi-player dropping?
0.9
Which is set for March 09, 2023
09, that's what I said
march 09 2009 for 0 9? seems like this update is coming 14 years late...
Not gonna make it in time for the Skyrim rererererererelease smh
I'm waiting for the future timeline where they have spent more money making skyrim re-releases than making a sequel would have cost.
The sequel is just Skyrim with a different title screen
Honestly they might be hitting that point
One of these days LE will introduce a rift that just brings you to skyrim
Sequel will be called Miryks. You just playing it backwards, like Halo 1
guys i want to ask i have 2060 super gpu and ryzen 1500x cpu and i run the game at 30 fps. Is there a way to fix the low fps?(sorry for the question i quess it must have been asked a lot)
At some point the game will be optimized better, but turning the graphics/resolution down for now can help, sounds like in terms of hardware your bottleneck is the CPU
I have a Ryzen 3800x and 2070 super and get 60-100 fps most of the time.
Next update should be helpful for performance
with 2khd resolution and max gfx settings
Unfortunately the game is kinda... unstable, so it's not consistent across systems at all
thanks for the info
le dead game going up against skyrim release.
shame.

is there some trick to kill Majasa? I am getting destroyed...
- resistances
- armour
- mobility
Check these ^^ phys res and armour are really important in that fight.
phys I have 112%, but armour only 62, seems kinda low?
I have troubles navigating arena with all thats going on
Okay you are way over on phys res, invest some of that somewhere else
The boss has armour shred so it will do a LOT of damage to you 🙂
what number should I aim at? to be able at least have a chance of success
Hard to say. If you are struggling to navigate in the arena then you need more as armour shred stacks. At least 1000?
Pretty sure my mage had like 500 but I was avoiding damage and had ward also.
Also, you need to consider how you are restoring your health. If you are relying solely on potions it will be harder. Leech, health on hit and regen are all useful here
Its definitely a challenging fight for new players. But with a little practice, determination and some strategic thinking it is 100% doable 🙂
I am running some weird build when I am leeching from my Bone golem, but that is not that easy 😄
I am looking for some good Kris weapons but I'm farming echoes and they very rarely drop compared to other dagger types. I think it's because of the low level requirement of the base item. Is there a better place to farm for an exalted Kris?
Not particularly, your best bet is to keep doing monos and look for exalted dagger nodes, otherwise try to get a dungeon modifier that drops more exalted weapons, though you will get any type of weapon that way so not the best.
If possible consider using 1 kris/1 katana?
if youre dual wield
welll in general consider katanas if you dont NEED to have a dagger equipped, they are a high ilvl base and drop more in empowered monos in my experience and have a great crit multi implicit
Does anyone know how to find your steam cloud save files
I cant seem to find them using the information on lastepochtools to upload my character to the build planner
Found it.
Look for an exalted weapon modifier on Temporal Sanctum. The starting modifiers rotate each day. When a good day comes around, blow all of your keys to farm it
I notice as I get farther into empowered monos that my attacks are being dodged much more frequently. How can I increase my accuracy?
You can't, you'll just need to be mindful of stacking dodge modifiers on enemies
How do I get my classes from pc steam to my steam deck?
Unless you are using a skill that has a tree node that say cannot be evaded like upheaval
Probably have to find your PC chars, move them, and put them in the correct place on the deck.
Bear in mind I don't have a steam deck or any interest in one so this may not work.
Ty gonna try and see if YouTube helps
If I am gonna get a supporter pack which one should I get
does resistance penetration for players have an effect over 100%? or is it just linear for everyone
Minions are considered allies and thereby benefit from affects like holy aura, correct?
yes
Thx! I'm always astonished how many basic questions I still have theory crafting even after 100s of hours.
best way to farm Exp? Arenas?
probably empowered monos
Yes.
If you have 200% pen, the mob would take 200% more damage than if you had 0% pen.
Mobs might be a bit different since they already get up to 75% based on the area level. Fortunately they don't generally get penetration (apart from poison's inherent resist shred which is similar but a bit different).
I believe it works in that mobs get 1% penetration per level up to 75, so a player with 75% resists in a level 75 area will be at "0 resists" effectively, whereas someone with %0 resists at area level 75 will effectively have -75% resist (take 75% more damage)
Armour still applies, but yeah, you need high resists to stand a chance of survival in high level areas.
That said, you don't need them fully capped, depending on your other ways to sustain your life / ward, etc.
yeah, resists are good, but not as essential as in something like PoE
can I ask what build might take the least actions per minute, thinking of starting here, but years of PoE made my wrist / elbow iffy
Minions builds can get down to 0 buttons if you try, though they usually do better with at least one; on the other hand, you might try playing with a controller - it's fairly well done, and EHG plans to have full controller support by 1.0, so you could help point out areas that need more love.
ait ty!
hey guys, is the game playable now?
Yes - though it is still in Early Access - so it's not finished, but the single-player experience is live.
Blender (whirlwind type) is very few apm
As is Devouring Orb.
I think I'm misunderstanding Superconductor in Arcane Ascendance: it doesn't seem to list a proc chance, so shouldn't it proc 100% of the time on the first hit? and all hits as long as you wait 2 seconds between? I'm testing by casting LB on the target dummy and it seems to proc maybe 30% of the time, even if I wait 2 seconds between casts
Testing on dummies is a bit weird sometimes, it seems like a lot of 'passive' targeted things like that don't like to target them
In the arena lobby in divine era the dummies are a bit better, they count as ennemy if that help
thanks, I'll try testing more
The training dummy at the end of time is not an enemy so won't proc Superconductor. You want to go to the arena lobby as Pvt Vlad said & test it on the "enemy" dummies. If a thing requires an enemy, it won't work against non-enemy dummies.
Awesome, thanks!
hi how do i set the map to be the middle of my screen with my character as it reveals itself?
if you mean switch from top right to map overlay across the screen, you can check your key bindings in the options screen. I believe the default is Tab key.
are the missing subclasses going to be added during the multiplayer release?
0.9 won't include those
damn
1.0
Hello guys, I have one question i picked up this game few days back(rly fucking cool decision) and wanna ask rly simple question. So i progressed through the story and after i killed that Snake boss(sorry in the work and cant remember for shit) then Story Line is ending and im forced to do echoes to get stability so i can procceed to chase in the storyline. I Guess thats currently end of storyline right and it will come in future?
Correct. Chapter 9 ends after you kill Majasa and that is currently the end of the campaign, there's supposed to be 3 more chapters coming in the future.
Yip. more story to come... For now, you have Monoliths & Dungeons as end-game content once the existing campaign is completed.
Yep thats rly cool thanks for reply time to deep into endgame
I can't remember if it has been asked/said before. Will we get a new chapter with 0.9 ?
No
can somebody help me with build help? I cannot kill Majasa and I am wondering whether the build is shit or just need some tweaks? or gear?
If you manage to upload your build via lastepochtools we can have a look
But generic answer is get more health, armor, phys res
And more sustain (be that leech, life on hit, regen, etc).
shouldn't 300+ corruption yield better chances of LP level gear and chase items? How does the RNG work? does the RNG have a scaling mechanism built in or should I now aim for 400 corruption instead?
I believe it does because it gives you increased changes for more drops and stronger modifiers.
But my drops were better at around 200 corruption, see my frustration?
no, that definitely sounds like something is off.
depending on your sample size you might just be on a bad luck streak.
OK, should your rarity be much higher than your corruption level for better gear, really can't think of another reason
when you say better, are you talking quantity
NO, better LP and more yes, better stats and even chances of chase items dropping, still runnng 1st shattered chains drop and only have 2 so far in weeks
Ravenous void not 1 drop, but got a Bastion I did not even far for...
What is the norm or standard corruption farming level?
400-600 range is usually the most efficient depending how strong your build is.
Aah, ok thanks, got to get moving then.
I am still not able to upgrade my blessings for more than 120 corruption levels...lets see if 400 does help
@silver pagoda also lp isn't impacted by corruption directly. It's only indirectly affected because you drop more items.
Aah OK, that explains it
Basically, tighten your loot filter for rares/exalted, and push higher. You'll get better loot off of quantity not quality.
I only filter for exalted and rare drops by now, no use for other drops anymore. Idols is the same. so then theoretically, having higer rarity in an echo than the corruption level should be better
Are you filtering for specific mods?
Not anymore, All exalted and rare drops allowed for the last 100 or so corruption levels.
Is there any benefit at all to over 75 resist?
Not really. Only for some things like Marked For Death counter or like negating shock. Neither of which are common enough to warrant it. Other than that there's a few uniques that have effects related to overcapped res but... eh.
it's detrimental if your build doesn't have a way of cleansing debuffs, but you should kinda have that regardless
i.e. that one belt prefix
And all shreds, in addition to shock, Mark for Death & poison stacks
can you please point to the right direction for controller feedback? Is there any already provided list of "bugs" I can browse, so won't report again?
I need help!
I don't understand how my character build can't use crit damage yellow.
Please guide me how to fix it.
Thank you very much
okay!
not sure what crit damage yellow refers to, is this about a guide you are using, or an item you have?
Damage over time cannot crit
some items will disable crit (wing guard gloves or singularity idol)
maybe your crit chance is just low and you got a few lucky hits
any chance you can make a build planner or some screenshots of your skills/items
or aforementioned items/skills that disable your crits
ok Bro, i try again! Thanks Bro
in there you seems to be using hammer throw but i am going to guess that dmg numbers we see are from the ignite which can not crit because its a dot
yes Bro
but now damage always white
ok Bro, i know why 😄
i use singularity item 😄
Thank you very much
👍
no problem bro

I’m just going to pony off this thread for some of my controller feedback (I was using the steam controller). The Pros: Movement felt really good. It was really fluid and felt better than the keyboard & mouse click to move experience. Melee is good. Both Harvest and flame reave felt pretty satisfying to use. “Select window wheel” performs ver...
Thank youuuu
Those are pretty old now - I would also suggest searching the bug part of the forum to see if other controller issues you have observed have been reported already.
Can someone please explain to me why this has 200 more damage? I genuinely am lost
It looks like you're stacking increased lightning damage, and the first mace offers +30 base melee lightning damage, where the second weapon is only physical damage which you're not increasing.
would the difference of 30 lightning damage be that much?
Actually that makes sense
Cause of how much increase lightning damage I have. Thanks
Be cautious of relying too much on the tooltips
right now there still a bit wonky (I believe there's a big rework in the future)
use it as a very general ballpark figure.
best real world way to tell is go to the Arena area in Heoborea
and test on dummies and observe damage ticks.
Hi, I am new to the game and been playing a while,
I may need some help with progression as it proved difficult on levels 36-40 to progress any further due to power issues, so far I picked druid bear form and wish to go for cold oriented builds, any tips will be helpful, thanks in advance.
following a build?
yeah kind of, its been a while and cant remember the exact page.
Entangling Roots Maelstrom Werebear Cold DoT Druid Last Epoch Build Guide Patch 8.4
In this video I go over my Cold DoT Entangling Roots Maelstrom Strength Stacking Druid, one of my favorite builds of the patch so far. It felt amazing all the way through to 300+ corruption, dealt with tier 3 jurla easily and overall was impressed by its perform...
I want to get back to the game after the last time where I faced a power wall.
followed Dr3ad's build for mine and it worked great
doesn't truly take off til 50 IMO
but it works
or maybe if you skip warcry til 50 it would work at 35...
cause you want the other 4 skills working together asap

I am having issues with loot filters. when i try to open a loot filter through the filter folder it doesnt open the file. and they dont show up in the list either. anyone have a guess at what it could be>
make sure the file has a .xml extension, and is properly formatted XML... have seen issues where the filters got saved as .txt files, and the game client wouldn't read em
Maehlin's Hubris would not affect Shield Bash>Serrating Strikes, because it's directly applying Bleed, rather than giving a chance to Bleed, correct?
Based on other interactions, it probably does convert. Should be easy to test though
Really? I was assuming that since it specifies Bleed chance, and Serrating Strikes isn't actually granting a chance, it wouldn't. I'll give it a try...
I hardly ever see Kris type daggers at higher levels farming empowered monos. How can I target farm exalted Kris?
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/community-game-guide/26057/9
Under assumption that Bleed Stacks +1 is equivalent to 100% Bleed chance, it would convert.
AILMENTS 6.1 Ailment Mechanics An ailment is an effect on a target that lasts for a duration. Most ailments deal damage, apply stat debuffs, or both, and most can be applied to the same target multiple times (or “stack”). Ailments can either by applied by a hit, or by area effects that attempt to apply ailments at a fixed interval. Most ailm...
Never make assumptions, always believe things are very literal. Bleed stacks +1 is not bleed chance.
I see
The only reason it would interact is because it's coded to actually be 100% bleed chance, which means it needs a new tooltip or be coded differently
☝️Mike reckons it probably does
... Alright then. lol
Just tested, confirmed it works. Which means with a 0% chance to Bleed, and 0% chance to Ignite... Shield Bash can apply 5 stacks of Ignite with no weapon equipped. >.>
So tooltip needs fixed
Yep. And this might be the dumbest idea I've ever come up with.
I , for one, salute you.
Looking forward to 200k damage shield bash ignite build 😄
Oh, nothing that amazing.
Yep. Definitely dumb, and not really in a good way. It's marginally functional, but dumb. By my math, which may have errors... Roughly 509% chance to Poison with Shield Bash, somewhere in the neighborhood of 950% chance to Ignite. I think...
Dumb? Perhaps. But is it fun?
It might get there. lol
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/WQJWp6YB
Behold, the horror.
No helm showing
Turned out to be a broken xml file that bugged the whole thing, once i removed that specific one all the others worked again. thx for the info
https://imgsh.net/a/h0Bn0f5.png emmm Can physical resistance increase armour?
two separate values.
https://imgsh.net/a/2AlIG7m.jpg the armour value is bigger with the armor that has lower armor on it but has physic res
the second image won't load for me but it doesn't need to: armor is not the same as physical resistance
the in-game guide for armour will explain this better than any of us can
no problem!
just be mindful that the shown % reduction you're actually getting might vary from the one shown in the character screen. I believe it's based on area level currently
I really want to see them incorporate something that Dammit does in LETools
where you mouse over and it shows where all the variables are coming from.
that would be a lot of text....
I don't know. It looks pretty clean in the LETools interface.
plus to this text from the game... and it will be a little bit too much 🙂 but it will give info
scrollbars exist
Yeah, but scrollbars on mouseover text-boxes are a nightmare.
how rare is omnis?
Very. And one with good rolls… incredibly
do gears visual change at later stages of the game or maybe get access to some kind of transmog later on? im new and so far it seems that some gears didn't change the character visual much...
Currently many items don't have unique models to them in the current stage of game development. It's something that is on their to-do list and the cosmetic system (paid for MTX) should also be available on launch.
oh i see, thanks
Have devs ever mentioned how cycle/seasons would possibly look like?
Last I heard they had a variety of ideas but nothing solid. One idea I remember was adding a new node type to the monoliths for that cycle that had some new stuff going on in it.
any good loot filter script for newbie that i can download from?
you can use the build planner to generate one, or grab Heavy's basic ones from the forums
Do different timelines have different drop rates?
or do i just get the blessing for what i need and i can farm wherever?
Drop rates are the same everywhere. Each time line can spawn specific unique/set item reward nodes. Each timeline has a few specific item types for those nodes.
So if you want a specific item type, get the blessing and then farm the timeline that spawns nodes for that item.
My Necro pet build uses the Death Knight node in Skeleton mages. Would the Death Knight benefit from an Increase in Skeletal Mage Damage prefix?
Yes, Death Knights are a type of skeletal mage.
Cool. Thanks, was hoping that was the case. I know Minion Spell damage would not apply since Death Knights are converted to melee but wasn't sure about this.
Minion Spell Damage still applies to Death Knight's Hungering Souls casts, as well - just in case you're ever trying to fit that back in.
The Necrotic Mortar is a spell as well.
hi B ro, i need help
when i start the game my stats are always - 50%? Is it a bug?
how do i fix it?
hello
Are you plating in masochism mode
it gives you a scaling less damage dealt modifier, which is shown in the stats.
^if you're new you probably shouldn't be using the challenge modes (imo)
you can disable them in the escape menu
ok, thanks Bro
You can only start masochist after you've completed the campaign (or at least up to Lagon, not sure if they moved the trigger).
So he's not that new.
Besides, Masochist is a lot more interesting.
shrug not something i'd ever sign up for
Why does serpent strike have a node giving up to 50% increased damage over time whereas other skills give more damage over time, the insane example being javelin with 100% more dot.
Ok, serpent strike has poison, but so does flurry and flurry gives 30% more dot + 30% more poison damage.
Are you talking about Chrono Strike?
That's a global DoT buff, the others are skill-specific.
It's meant as a support node for other skills.
Not sure if that node stacks or not.
if you are talking about this one it stacks so you can get a lot of increase
so is the one giving dodge rating giving you a lot of dodge
if you are a swarmblade you can convert it to armor by the way
Ah, i didnt know it stacks! That explains it! I knew about dodge stacking.
Thank you!
yeah that node is one of the reasons why swarmblade max attackspeed can be nasty
heey heyy 😄 hope this is the right place to ask this.
are there any plans for add anything to do with EXP after you hit lvl 100 ? like adding a paragon system or something of the likes?
On prior dev streams, the issue has been acknowledged, but there are no publicly identified plans at this stage to my knowledge
okay thanks alot 🙂
how does one get a crystal sword? https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/IIwBhE4wDjEg
cant seem to find one when refreshing at the gambler
gambler only drops items under level 40. Gotta get them in the wild, any area with lvl 64 or higher
tyvm
It functions the same as if you had another level in that skill, allowing you to go past the usual cap of 20
i can got extra points?
Precisely.
No problem. It's really powerful for some skills. Probably in general but for some outliers it's a huge power spike.
Sometimes just 1-2 extra point Unlocks a node that was previously out of reach and kicks a build into overdrive.
Yeah, the value of extra levels is extremely skill dependent
Some skills won’t have anything of value left to get
Some will get a huge boost from extra levels
Does anyone know if the "Increased aspect of the lynx effect" affix just increase the critical chance and stun bonus or does it also increase the critical strike multiplier bonus from the "serrated claws" node?
I would assume it depends on the wording, not seeing the node myself. if it's something like "aspect of the lynx also grants xyz" then it's likely included, if it's "while you have aspect of the lynx you gain abc" probably not.
looking at the node it should be the former.
It also increases the multiplier from serrated claws, just the aspect of the lynx line
So if you have all 6 nodes (60%) and get 25% increase lynx effect you will get an extra 15% multi
Thanks!
is it possible to find another echo of information on a monilith or only one per mono?
All of the special echoes can happen multiple times - increasing your corruption and distance from the center will increase the likelyhood of them spawning.
thanks
would u guys be wanting to see some form of endgame designed for co op? like raids for ex
still blown away that these newer arpgs STILL dont have raids in them. POE and even D4 wont have them WTH
heck even Destiny 2 and COD have raids these days yet for some reason or another arpgs refuse to put them in just boggles my mind
seems like a no brainer for PVE loot based games to me
ARPGs are a single player experience for most players. Putting co op designed content in those games forces mp on players who don't want it. The only way I see it working is how D4 is doing it where going into content designed for co op also dynamically adds players, but we'll see how arpg players feel about that when they experience it (I come from an mmo background so I'm personally going to be OK with it).
i don't want required group content.
then just dont make it required. like make the rewards be cosmetics instead of gear so people just play it for fun and for a challenge
why would they make an entire raid and then make it cosmetic rewards only? that's entirely not how that works.
people do that in WoW where they grind for WEEKS just to get a new mount. they can make the gear based rewards be obtainable elsewhere in the game so solo players wont be mad. but the real rewards would be those cosmetic items.
if that were true then why add in co op at all. idk i just think its kinda scummy that u have a co op feature yet u dont have anything designed for people that like to co op. like there is no real incentive to do co op so why would people even play it co op u know.
its like playing Payday 2 with AI buddies instead of real players. u know the AI buddies suck compared to real players so that alone incentives u to play with real players instead
perfect example is POE it has co op but no one plays it co op lol
Definitely a hot take. Not like Payday at all, which is a game meant for MP with AI bots taking their place for those who aren't playing MP. LE and Diablo likes are built as a full single player experience that also has coop for those who want to play with their friends. Like it or not, that's the genre and most of the playerbase fits into the "I want to be able to do everything solo" category.
Makes sense. You like MMOs and that's what you really want to play 🙂
tru
I wonder if D4 will end up being a better fit for you given that they're trying to hybridize between the two
ok what about this then cuz i just suggested it to the devs of LE. what if u had the option to matchmake with players while doing dungeons and monoliths?
but it was a toggle
so u can have it on or off
I'm personally fine with matchmaking since it doesn't change the viability of the solo experience. Just makes it easier to party with randos
yeah im really really looking forward to D4 and ik a lot of others streamers are to and they said they actually really like the way D4 is headed with its mmo elements
Yeah I personally expect that I'll main both LE and D4 so I'm definitely also looking forward to it
same unless they make POE 2 more accessible to casuals which they might. tbh i think they will do a passive skill tree revamp for POE 2
but i doubt POE would be as accessible as Diablo is tho
If it doesn't require other people, is it a raid?
IMO, a good matchmaker/group finder is an important feature that needs to be added.
Destiny and PoE aren't comparable. They are two entirely different genre of game.
Destiny is at its very core is an MMO. It just stripped out all the open world elements that everyone associates MMOs with. While PoE is a single player game with coop available for those that want to play with friends but is not designed from the ground up for party play.
it would require other people just dont make it based on gear rewards only cosmetics.
that way it wont piss off solo players
I mean, that would still lead to them being upset when they can't acquire those cosmetics without doing multi-player content.
im not trying to compare them im just saying theres other games like Destiny and COD that have raids now so its not really exclusive to mmos anymore. just strange that these new arpgs are online and have co op but no features to make people want to play co op which is why i suggested raids.
It's because they are single player games at their core. Even if they have online coop. Like I said.
yeah? thats litterly what POE does tho and ik LE and D4 will have a store to lol. i would be glade that there's a cosmetic thing available ingame rather then having me spend real $ on it
It would, since it's content that they wouldn't be "allowed" to do since it requires multiple people (until some uber-player solos it, obviously).
No poe doesn't. Everything in game is soloable from start to finish.
u said " being upset when they can't acquire those cosmetics " which people already are if they cant spend real $ to get the cosmetics
I said they'd be upset because they can't without doing the multi-player content.
then just sell it in the store to lol
Again that would just piss off the solo players
Who make up the majority of the playerbase for these games in the genre.
modern gaming has rotted peoples brains to the point that they think playing with friends isnt enough of a reason for coop
this post is a perfect example
what if all your firends like diffrent games then u do?
Then play the game that's meant to be played solo, solo. You don't need every game to be multi-player
thats also why even people here are in favor of having a matchmaking system for monoliths/dungeons so can choose to be not alone if u dont want to
but this game offers a multiplayer feature and just like POE and even D4 i highly doubt most people would even play it in co op. which is why i think there has to be some incentive for co op play i dont get whats wrong with that.
its like why even make the feature in the first place if 90% of players dont use it
There doesn't need to be an incentive. If it's just meant to allow people to play with their friends. Thats the incentive.
Also they were planning on making support builds for those that want to play coop possible so that is an incentive. So you can play new build types. There ya go
ok ill tell u what happens with me and my friends in POE. we are at the same level yet either me or my friend ZOOMS through the map wayyyyyy faster then the other player. so one player is having fun zooming and killing while the other is stuck lagging behind not able to kill anything cuz there friend already did
This is definitely something that bothers me as well. As someone who typically plays more methodical builds for PoE. It's hard to play with zoomies.
cries in totem/minion playstyle
where if it was a boss fight with good mechanics it would be fun for both involved
Like I said, adding content that excludes the main playerbase (solo players) is not the move.
Unless that content is scalable by party size and doable soloable, it not a good move.
ok what if its the same content but it would have diffrent mechanics depending on if ur solo or co op?
Why add that content if such a small portion of the playerbase will see it?
thats why like i said u give incentives for that small portion of the playerbase like cosmetics
And that pisses off everyone else who plays the game for what it was pushed as. A single player experience first.
just do it once and get the cosmetic then lol
its not that bad espically if they add in matchmaking
Then that playerbase just dies extremely quickly. Because if it can be acquired after a single run there is no incentive at all
idk i just think that is a L take imo
thats like being pissed off that someone looks cooler then u in POE when in reality they just spent more $
u will get over it
Nah, it's it's L take that you think actively pissing off the majority of your core playerbase to please a minority is worth it.
dude its cosmetics plus devs do it ALL the time & players get over it. why do u think u cant get anything actually good looking in POE without spending $ so GGG is pissing off all the poor people that way lol. they keep on playing cuz they get over it.
plus people are gonna get jealous at other people for anything even items
like seeing a Twitch streamer get a mirror in POE yet u prob will never see one in your life. guess what u get over it
- There is a difference between free and paid cosmetics. there is a reason why destiny gives out free cosmetics in 3 ways, Purchasable with bright dust, season pass and is given to everyone just for playing, or from the activity playlist vendors for resetting them. or how wow has cosmetics for pvp but also has raid specific ones as well that reward you regardless of what you are playing, not specifically rewarding one type of play. like you've been pushing for this whole time.
- trying to use a mirror as an example is a terrible example because it's something literally anyone can drop at any time. so yeah people get over it because they realize it was just as likely that it could have been them who got it.
As well on point 1) non-core activity specific cosmetics are always 1 of 2 specific types of cosmetics, sparrows and ghosts, which are not equal to other types of cosmetics.
wtf is going on with the "no license found" bug??? bought the game from steam yesterday, and the damn thing still doesn't update my account..they ain't working in this time, its 5am where the support lives...anyone got a workaround, besides refunding and buying the game from their website...which i shoulda
it's infuriating that a bug that existed a year ago or more, still exists! and even the workaround "redeem" doesnt even have the option, to link my steam account to theirs..
is there anyone here at all..
Sounds like a Steam thing.... though I am by far no expert.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGame Maybe try here?
I've requested a refund...i'm tired of dealing with this crap. I'll buy the game from them and then it'll work.
@arielg#8023 its a regular bug. Basically thier servers take a bit to recognize the license
Oop. He's gone it seems
Hey all, can I just confirm: Are they nerfing poison by limiting the stacks that reduce resistance to 30?
Thanks.
Yes
Thanks!
Are there any other mechanics that allow you to have that nonlinearity? Been trying to find something (whether it be a dot or otherwise) to let me scale better as a battle goes on.
The closest you are getting is like Armour shred. And that still caps out fairly quickly.
Thanks.
Okay different question. Consider the unique item Dragonsong. Will Dragonfire cast on each crit, regardless of the cast time of Dragonfire, or will it be limited by that? https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBsCYBYGYg
Dragonfire has no internal CD so it has a chance to proc every crit regardless of how often you're critting
Thanks.
Follow up question. Can crits from shadow dagger status as well as on-hit crits from shadows trigger this as well (not sure if they are considered 'pets' or not)?
It works yes, tested it with Smoke Bomb to make sure it doesnt overlap with any other on hit effect.
Sweet! Thanks a ton 🙂
Okay another question. Some items have 'increased shadow dagger effect'. Does this just increase the damage, or does it allow you to need less stacks in order to trigger the crit?
It used to reduce the number of shadow daggers required for its dmg to proc before 0.8.2. So now its basically just a dmg multiplier, but is unrelated to Dragonfire proc rate or dmg outcome.
Thanks. One final question. Any way to make minions trigger Dragonfire? Saw there was a way to give balistas your status effect chance but I rather doubt it would be possible to give it the dragonfire proc.
(sorry it's just tempting with the guaranteed crit chance from black arrow)
No worries, good questions though. No they dont proc Dragonfire, both the ballistas + the crossbow mercenary from Melvern's Writ.
Thanks!
hi all, i want to farm unique idol throne of ambition. What blessing prefer? Mark of Agony with adorned Idol or Winds of Fortune with Unique drop rate? thx for help
unique drop rate won't impact it as far as I know, since it's a boss drop
thx for answer, ah ok for boss dops drop rate push unnecessary?
Hey TriKster, I saw your build on lastepochtools, and it's fantastic. I was kinda curious though, how come you don't run immolaters oblation on it? (I'm thinking with with cinder strike + dragonfire and some decent attack speed you get about 12 casts a second = 48 stacks of ignite = 288 adapative damage at most)
Thx, appreciate it! Don't forget to check out @pseudo ciphers version on yt, he also made a similar setup for Dragonsong.
I uploaded the build guide before the hotfix when they added Soulfire/Temporal uniques.
But i mentioned it here and play with it for massive dmg buff:
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/triksters-dragonsong-coc-marksman-build-guide-0-8-5/48352/25
I will update my build guides on LE Tools with every major patch.
Testing around this new unique. Working very well atm. Free Frenzy buff all the time to proc Dragonfire even faster. I have around 9-14 Ignite stacks on myself with the 59% roll. So with a perfectly rolled belt you could probably get 20+ stacks x 6 adaptive spell dmg = 120 (900% effectivness) → 1080 added flat dmg to dragonfire if my math is c...
Sweet! Thanks, I'll check that out too 🙂
Hey guys, just another question. What's to stop people from using 'The Slab' (100% less damage taken on block) and then getting 100% block chance (possible with no cooldown shield bash). I know it doesn't block DOTs and stuff, but it's pretty crazy that you can reduce any hitting thing to zero.
(Or is the slab's text wrong and it doesn't reduce 100% of the damage taken)
Haven't looked at that in a while but last I did it wasn't possible to get 100% block chance due to the reduced block chance on the slab. I don't remember if shield bash stacks with no CD but if it does and you can get there then finding viable damage in that rotation would be a challenge. Plus the slab does nothing for DoTs which are often the most dangerous damage in the game.
Another question. 'Chance to casr skill when you use a 0 cost skill'. Does this only apply when you cast it directly?
yes
"use" almost always (every case of I can think of) means a direct use
another popular phrasing is "use and hit", which is still once per use, but requires it to do damage
Thanks.
are u guys getting tired of the seasonal model in video games? apparently that's a big thing in the general gaming community these days people just dont like it anymore.
i could see why cuz its pretty much FOMO
I have 0 issues with the seasonal model. the alternative is stagnation in many games that people play for long stretches of time
I strongly prefer the seasonal model so I have a reason to come back and start fresh with others.
Honestly what i'd say is, the seasonal model is the ideal for what you'd consider Hobbyist games. Games that are designed intentionally or not, to become the core of their gaming experience. League of Legends wasn't designed intentionally to do that, but has become the core of many gamer's hobby as an example.
A large chunk of the gaming community doesn't fit the audience for hobbyist games in the first place. and the same goes for the seasonal model not being for those people who do not fit under that umbrella.
It's never really been elitists vs casuals, it's just hobbyist vs casual. People who make something their hobby would always like more content and don't really care too much about the fact that it might be something they miss out on too much. where casuals hate the idea of missing out on anything but aren't committed to something long term and move onto the next thing regularly.
and since casual gamers do make up quite the large chuck of the gaming sphere, it would make sense that they aren't too happy with the seasonal model.
I'd say they are more upset that games that would have otherwise felt like they were for them, have pushed them away with their shifts to seasonal models and all of the other methods of holding a player's interest and weaponizing them to maximize player engagement numbers instead of making games that are fun. where as, something like ff14 or poe use the model just to get people to come back (ff14 using just regularly scheduled large content drops in place of seasons)
where things like cod use it just to drag you back without anything really changing at all
Another question... do any of you know how something like the weapon Chronostasis might work with channelled skills like Warpath? I'm particularly curious whether the +200 melee damage applies to all hits, or just the 1st. https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwRmCZwZiA https://www.lastepochtools.com/skills/warpath
It should work based on the description but stacking ward could be challenging
Sweet! Thanks!
I guys hope you're doing well, I have some questions ! 🙂
I got multiples characters close to lvl 100 but every time I'm starting to lost myself
I know how to gear myself and adjust my build until high level, but then I'm kinda lost,
I don't know what stats to focus on the legendaries and how to perfectly choose and optimize what I need, got any tips guys ? 🙂
@buoyant roost I wanna add that for some channeling skills snapshotting like that doesn't work. I have tested many interactions where it does snapshot a particular stat and other instances where it only applies to the first damaging hit. It's not very consistent.
Another thing to add to a prior question instances of 'on next cast' or 'when you use x skill' can sometimes work with procs or indirect casts, even when it states 'directly'. These are probably bugged instances, definitely if it says explicitly direct use. I would just test anything and everything regarding a skill you want to build around. Leads to finding interesting mechanics or interactions. Which can be fun to play with before they are patched 🙂
I mean learn from other people's builds. Look at guides, vids, or ask for help regarding a specific build. It's something you learn over time and takes a bit of testing and/or calculations to understand what is most optimal for how you want to play. And while there are obvious bad decisions when it comes to gearing, there is not always a perfect choice. Optimizations are dependent really on how you want to play and what content you like to do.
Thanks for the response @sharp ibex 🙂
I know i'm late to the party, but I also love the seasonal model.
Seasonal means that i keep having a reason to come back and spend more money on the game
1 time purchase stuff works for story games like GoW etc
but EHG wants to keep updating LE after its been released, so the seasonal updates will probably stay
seasonal/ladder resets have always worked really well with arpgs to. maybe not so much other genres, but i do like them in arpgs.
Can some one tell me why the rare have almost 25 % more damage compared to the exalted? Im running warpath with ignition, those 40 % shouldnt mean anything, since i got so much ignition from other sources (calamity is 150 % alone)
1.2 attack speed vs 1.08 is going to be a significant difference
How so? isnt channelspeed another stat for it self?
No, warpath is based on attack speed. If you hold alt while hovering warpath, it will provide more detailed information concerning it
Yes the hit twice the attack rate, but is that really 25 % overall damage?
The problem with that is it brings fomo. So it forces players to come back to the game otherwise they miss out on stuff like in apex legends with it's battle pass.
U can still have huge updates just don't lock them to seasonal content like how Warframe or FFXIV does it. That way the game can just continue to grow instead of it being removed after season is over.
Base attack speed is a multiplier, added to that if you're building ignite chance, almost half a stack per hit makes sense to have that much difference for an ignite/ailment build, yup
Personally I'd say destiny 2's seasonal model solved this.
Each year your seasonal content stays in place for that year and gets yeeted at the end of the 4th season of that year.
And fomo by itself isn't a problem. Fomo is a problem when it's weaponized to monetize things.
Right thanks
Yeah I totally agree with the d2 stuff but even my friends said they didn't like the seasonal model in apex cuz it forces u to grind the season pass to get enough credits to buy the premium one the next season.
That's because of that specific model
I think that would account for pretty much any game that has rewards tied to a timer
Where if the game just kept on making updates like how LE is now then no one would feel forced into playing again.
Nah. When you put premium rewards behind the pass like that. It's very shitty for players. It also depends on how the passes are designed, can they be completed in the normal cycle of attention the game has or slightly longer
Like for example, is the pass similar to destiny where if you actively play the season as the content is coming out you can finish it by week 6 without any heavy investment you just did the seasonal story and a couple side objectives.
Well ik for apex u can complete the BP in 1.5 months if u play 1-2hrs a day.
I just think it's scummy to force ur players back into the game or they miss out on X stuff regardless of what that might be.
Bottom line is imo is it's totally fine to have updates every couple of months. But you should also have it where a new player starting the game after the game's been out for X amount of years should be able to get all that content that has been building up throughout those years.
Eh, I don't agree. Players missing out on cosmetics or gameplay is not scummy. Especially if the content isn't meant to stick around and is devs playing with new ideas to see what should stick around long term.
Then u end up with a game like destiny 2 which is notorious for not being new player friendly.
Also, not all content is created equal. Some content is designed as experiments and is just bad for the game, some is them establishing a new baseline. That's why poe's model works.
It allows them to make sure something is worth keeping in the firstplace.
Destiny 2 is not new player friendly because of a myriad of reasons.
Lacking a proper introduction to the gameplay loops, story, etc. But that is not the seasonal model's fault. Even the content they vaulted isn't a factor in this case. Because forsaken and before functionally wasn't connected to the stories told now.
I feel like that could be solved internally tho without having to subject ur players to it. At least that's what they do in most MMOs
What's more data on how good something is: 3 months of internal testing and dev work, or 10 minutes of live gameplay from all your players?
The seasonal model is at fault cuz it contains story bits which is deleted every year. Making a new player go to YT to understand the story.
They can't just go from witch queen right into lightfall or they be confused af lol.
I would love to continue this convo but I got to eat sorry food getting cold
Not really actually, all major plots are summed up in each expansion without needing the seasonal content to function.
Do they do better with the seasonal content? Yes, do they make no sense without them? No
Yeah but I also feel like MMO devs and ggg should know by now what type of content players want and just make it.
Yeah no that's not how that works lol
That's why flops exist. It's why the idea of execution mattering exists.
Like for MMOs it's easy u just make some raids story content and a dungeon bam done lol
And then everyone complains your game is stale because you aren't introducing something to freshen the game up
Random Question. Would frostbite effect, cold damage, and cold damage over time all be multiplicative with each other?
Frostbite Effect is multiplicative with the other two, which are (generally) additive
There's a big portion of each affix type that's defined missing from your statement:
Increased Frostbite Effect
Increased Elemental Damage over Time
More Cold Damage
would all be multiplicative
i really need to farm those gloves to actually play a frostbite build
You don't, but it does add some serious polish to ones that already exist. Troaka's Teeth lets you play FrostPuncture, Ice Barrage can do Frostbite cleanly natively, and Shatter Strike can convert ignites from Firebrand to Frostbites effectively.
did not know that actually, wasn't sure of frostbite being a good mechanic til the gloves were released
i just wish 2 of those skills felt good (for me) to play
i take that back, puncture is fun
I find all three to be fun, but what's fun for me isn't for everyone, for sure. Hope it helps, though
farming bosses is kinda fun though, need to (read as: want) do that anyways
You don't "end" a timeline, unless you mean the story boss to farm for their drops
Okay thanks, i got a answer ingame though why i deleted my question
gotcha lol
But i got another question, about lootfilter 😄
If i first hide all rares, and then after put in conditions to show x affix, does that work? Or do i need to show x affix first?
What is the order in the filter?
Filter conditions are evaluated top to bottom.
Yes i get that, but if i hide all rares first and then put in conditions after are they then shown ?(my conditions?)
Or asked in a more simple way, which one do i want over each other? Hide all or the conditions?
Lets say i have a hide all rares and show all fire related. Which one should be on top of the other?
Once all conditions for a rule are met execution of rules stops for the item. If you hide all rares as first rule, no rare will be evaluated by a later rule
If you want more info about filters, Heavy made this guide I found previously
Thanks i been looking and the guides i seen was so bad 🙂
if I'm lvl 86, should i be farming lvl 85 monolith of lvl 90?
You should open 100lvl of monolith and than increase it's corruption, just find most comfortable corruption level for you and farm items there.
So im trying to make my filter, is this correct understood that, it will only show me items with at least 3 of the affiix on, and these affix at least should be tier 2?
And related question, would that be to crazy to remove so much? (would i loose out of much?)
There is more easy way, Just use filter generated from lastepochtools
No, sorry some one here just sent me a guide how to do it... Im not gonna do another one... Just making sure i understand it.
But would it be to crazy to hide everything that dont have at least 3 tier 2 affix of what i need? (i mean i could think its pretty hard filter?)
release date?
When it's done.
What is it here in my build that made it to where I easily survived Majasa with such a low phys resist? https://imgur.com/a/VfyPMVK
Im thinking maybe the sigils?
I fully expected to get fucking obliterated in phase 2
I was constantly at like 25% HP abusing pots that were occasionally dropping but never really worried about getting killed after a few seconds into phase 2

sigils can give a lot of regen and armor when active
your hp also isn't half bad either
Anyone know roughly how much experience penalty there is if your higher level then what you run?
i dont know the number but its not noticeable until you're 20 levels above or below
Right, so i can easy as lvl 69 farm 62 corrupted and dont loose lots of xp?
corruption does not equal level area
corruption does not affect monster level.
it gives them more hp and damage
however if you're in the 60s of corruption in normal monos you should be in empowered already
.... dude i get that ??? Why are you even talking about that, rather then answering the question?
you clearly didn't read the whole answer.
I did... and its not a answer to my question at all
"Right, so i can easy as lvl 69 farm 62 corrupted and dont loose lots of xp?"
How is "corrupted is not equal level" a answer to my question about xp?
goodbye.
Cmon m8, do you not see ? 🙂 i mean my question is about xp penanty and you talk about corrupted isnt equal level? And yes corrupted zones have levels also
if you are asking about xp penalties, they kick in if you are 5 levels over/under the areas level
Thanks
how do you guys take the tons and tons of idols that drop and figure out which are worth keeping?
I keep one tab per base class plus one for 1 slot and 1 tab each for vertical and horizontal 2 slot. Once full, if I want to put something in it, I go through and remove things which are not useful for the character I currently playing
^ this approach allows me to "keep stuff" so I don't feel like I might not have something I need later, while also reducing the problem space to current character choices.
…. I really need to clean up my idol tabs. I have like…. 6 and they’re all full.
I think the confusion comes from this question - it sounds like you're mixing up Area Level vs. Corruption.
When the Area Level is more than 5 levels above or below your character level, you'll feel an experience penalty; though it's pretty much still better to get into higher-level zones rather than try to level up in a lower-level zone to "catch up"
And all the Empowered Monoliths are level 100 - which is why when you mention '62 Corrupted' above, it sounds like you're trying to push Corruption on a low-level monolith.
This just means that I need only a single point in holy spears and then I have all of this crit multi for free right?
Seems worth af to me even though im trying out phys
If it's not converting the phys. Yeah that seems pretty worth.
100 crit multi and 200% crit chance is pretty nice
Especially since there aren't very many different phys damage nodes for throwing attacks
That sounds like a bug then since Holy Spears clearly states that it gains the lightning tag which makes it a lightning skill.
!bug
To make sure a bug gets fixed, please post about it here: https://forum.lastepoch.com/c/bug-reports.
Just because it says it gains a tag doesn't mean it converts it
Otherwise how would you scale dual element attack such as fire and lightning if it didnt say it explicitly has both
It doesnt say that it replaces the physical tag so I wouldnt say its a bug
Should work yes, there is a similar mechanic that you can abuse with Fireball and its node ''Plasma Ball'' that adds +3 Flat Lightning Dmg giving Fireball the lightning tag. Therefore you can spec into the Sorcerer passive Crackling Precision so that the &increased crit chance is doubled for lightning skills.
can you only have 5 skills equipped at a time?
you only have so many skill slots
so yeah
As far as I know there isnt anything like in POE where you have the alternate skill bar
its enough for the void knight but i made an acolyte and 5 feels rough
Why
You just have to either respec every now and then or make another character
A build cant function if you invest in every single thing all over so it will probably feel much better if you just pick some interesting synergies
Thats probably why its restricted like that
An example of unrestricted would be in POE where if you try to invest in multiple skills it wont feel good unless they share scalings
im new to isometric rpgs so i dont know how they work
Ahh ok I see
If you hover the skills you can see what the scaling tags are and that can help you find out what you wanna combine. Inside of the skill trees you can also sometimes find interesting interactions such as how you can make one skill have a 5% chance to cast a different skill on hit. This is awesome because when it casts that other skill it will use your chosen skill tree for that skill if you have one. And then you have some skills that will either give you passive buffs like Paladin's Holy Aura or an active skill that applies debuffs to enemies that would help your main skill(s). @fiery rapids
In my opinion the most fun thing about ARPGs is finding unique interactions between skills and items that cause cool shit to happen
Other people just only care about clearing entire screens of mobs while yet other people only really wanna do massive damage to bosses
can a skill cast another skill that isnt in your slots?
Plenty of avenues to go about it
Maybe? I havent tried that
Should be simple to test if you wanna
also where do i see what stats like intelligence do?
i opened the guide but cant find it
ah ok found it
Which of the three acolyte classes are you planning on picking?
lich
Ayyy nice, I love the Aura of Decay lich because I can just walk through enemies and they die
Plus using reaper form during it so that I dont die of boredom
yeah i saw that reaper transformation and i was sold
Especially since it gives basically a second life and the regen needed for aura of decay helps keep reaper form up longer
is bone curse a good skill?
Ive never tried it, Ive only fucked with Decay Reaper and a different build of Assemble Abomination which fucking oneshot bosses
Its a curse so I doubt heavily that itd be bad
but do i have to specialize on a base acolyte skill or just save it for lich skills?
One of the nodes says "After you cast bone curse you apply bone curse on hit for a short duration"
Which is great for reaper
You could use only Lich skills if you wanted
But you do have to have at least like 20 or 21 points in the acolyte tree before being able to put points elsewhere
For passives
can i just rank whichever skill and just reset when i get the lich mastery?
Yup
You can respec any skill whenever you want
You just have to level the skill again
BUT there are minimum levels you can achieve
For example my current paladin has a minimum of 8 so if I despecialize a skill and then respecialize I will start at level 8
Or I could respec one point only and then if I am above the minimum I just relevel for that one point and then continue back on my path
The game also calculates the expected level of where your skills should be and if youre below that you get increased XP gains for that skill
This, accelerated until level 19 with a minimum of 9 for my lich
You can also respec passive points but that requires gold only
minimum of 9 means you get 9 points to spend if you despecialize?
yup
so If I respeced my entire reaper form back to 0 it would start at level 9
and then have increased XP gains until 19
This game heavily supports the player's ability to experiment
thats cool, I dont really wanna copy internet builds all that much
That's perfectly fine especially since the custom item filters are so easy to customize
I manually do all of my item filters and I only really ever look up specific uniques I wanna farm or sometimes i hear about something super cool and Ill maybe try the guide they made for it
That's not what I was talking about. I thought that you were asking whether that node added the lightning tag to Javelin (which it does) in order for you to take advantage of the Holy Precision passive. That doesn't mean you need conversion, the skill just needs the lightning tag. Though as it has the lightning tag, it should split the base damage (40 phys) to 20 phys & 20 lightning but that wouldn't affect any added damage (which is mostly flat phys from rings & flat phys from a Polearm implicit plus any other flat damage you have on the Polearm assuming you have one equipped).
Though my comment about a bug was probably me misunderstanding the comment I replied to.
Can some one tell me how to continue here 🙂 Still 39 potential 🙂 (i know i need to up ignite to level 5 also, but happens when im high enough level)
Just wondering if there is something else i can do to it?
Options:
- try to seal the ignite chance using glyph of despair and then you can add another affix
- use rune of refinement to reroll the affixes
- use rune of shaping to reroll implicit affixes
- dupe it using rune of creation for use in legendary crafting (will set FP to 0, so generally do this as late as possible)
If I were you, I'd despair the ignite chance as ot opens up more directed crafting options. Refinement and shaping are gambling 😀
Thanks, yeh im gonna despair the ignite, (just need 1 more level) before i can upgrade it more.
Good luck!
It won't break the item. It will just upgrade to t5.
Fair enough
Chances of sealing are lower for higher tiers, so generally I don't despair things above T3, but you are beyond that now 🙂
Well its still exalted so
It's a damn good item 🙂 i'd use it
And do i understand correct, that i can seal it a second time if enough potential is there? (since despair says that bigger chance with more affix)
Like can i despair the other one also? That im gonna level if im lucky?
There is only one sealed slot available. I can't remember what happens if you seal a second affix. It might replace it.
Aha okay
Yeh i dont wanna loose the ignite for sure
but would be damn nice if could get extra slot, for either attack speed or fire 🙂
Yep. It would be rad 🙂
And when its close to 0, i should duplicate it right? to make it legendary?
Like if i got another unique amulet to forge with ofc
Yeah, you can duplicate it so that you have two chances at getting the affixes you want when you forge a legendary 🙂
It can't break. The legendary crafting pulls random affixes (not including sealed affixes). You just might not get the one you really want
Only problem is getting 2 of the right uniqes with legendary potianiel enough.
thanks for the help
Do you guys are logged into game ? I have some issue with that
Hey all, does turning rip blood into necrotic change coagulated blood and blood splatter skills as well?
Or are they still physical?
Also... will reaper form eat through ward, or skip it?
I know Blood Splatter is converted - not sure about Coagulated Blood; and no, Reaper Form doesn't eat ward, just your life
Thanks 🙂
Another question. How easy is it to keep reaper form up without aura of decay?
Reason being... besides that healing, I don't have a whole ton of use for aura of decay... so wondering if it's worth dropping
which character has the most electric spells?
Sorry if repetitive question but am I able to play this game now? I have been enjoying undecember but I would like to test other ARPGs too.
I mean... Yeah you can. It's currently singleplayer only but it is playable. Story is missing 3 chapters, we are missing 3 total masteries (one each for Rogue, Acolyte, and Mage), and there's some endgame stuff that hasn't been made yet but progress is usually pretty good. We're on the longest break we've ever been on for updated as they are getting multiplayer out in two months and took some extra time to make sure it isn't going to completely break.
Mage, probably. Honorable mention to Paladin using Smite, .... and maybe a Marksman using Detonating Arrow
Aura of Decay kinda slaps if you can maintain it - though it's definitely an AoE skill, not single-target. If you do want to drop it, Lich gets plenty of leech (which will maintain Reaper Form quite well) or if you're playing low-life, Death Seal has nodes that can temporarily disable life-draining effects like Exsanguinous or Mind over Body.
Mage for sure - I'll throw in honorable mention of Bladedancer with Fulgurite Shards for Shuriken and Lethal Mirage.
And I'm sure there's a way to build Druid for a Stormbear - Lightning Maul/Rampage, Swipe, and from Maelstrom sounds like it should work...
Aight, I think I'm gonna make a lightning focused mage, I wanna zap everything in the screen
Mage starts with one of the best lightning skills in the game at level 1 so
Thanks, yeah that 8% (especially when boosted by effective healing) ends up being quite a lot. The health leech might be able to do it. maybe. I can't run death seal on this build though unfortunately... it gets rid of all my ward (I'm trying to get it up to about 10,000 continuously more or less). :/
Okay, another question. Judgement has a node which allows it to cast 4 Smites. Will those smites hit a single target?
Or do they need to hit separate targets?
I believe it its separate targets, so all casts won't proc unless there is enough enemies
if your character can leech, you can have basically permanent reaper form
death seal giving you overleech while its active also helps a lot with that.
aura of decay is IMO only worth using if you're willing to abuse the snapshotting stuff
so you don't actually need it specialized/on your bar
it's a pretty big waste of a specialization slot otherwise
Thanks both of you
I'd say talk to @vapid aspen about their setup, I think they were doing some ward-based lich stuff a while back
Does it get converted though? None of Smite's subskills get converted to void/lightning despite the gfx.
So yeah 2 ways to do ward lich. First is exsang + last steps with aod. That way is extremely weak and unless you have like a 2lp on boots and body you should not even consider it.
Second way is twisted heart + leech/rip blood with a mountain of cast speed which tends to get me up to like 25k ward.
Ooh... didn't even consider twisted heart. Was thinking about going the ignite/damned stack root... you can build 30 per stack on yourself almost per second
I'll have to look into that other method 🙂
Now also looking at it... that wouldn't be exclusive to lich would it? Although I bet it's sure easier to build the ward retention on lich
It's about as easy on a mage, too - so there's that
And I'm guessing it might be possible on the other classes too... after all... they all have elemental damage of some sort. Less ward retention though.
Hmm.....
Hey guys, just a sorta lazy question. Do all of druids transforms share a cooldown or are they independent?
uh independent
Hey all, just a question. Can Druid Ice Thorns multihit the same enemy?
Question... do you have a build guide for the 25K ward. Other videos I'm seeing only get it up to 6K or so.
Maybe im really dumb, or really smart, but we agree bosses aint rare mobs right?
That would mean, you can in the mono stack "increase damage from rare mobs" "Rare mobs have x" infinity and dont have it effect the boss's right?
But it would still increase our dropchance+ experience? But wouldnt have effect on the boss's right?
Bosses are not "rare", but they are "enemies" 🙂
No guide but its really pretty easy. Stack int, stack heath, stack cast speed. Spec rip blood for health gain only and make it a necrotic skill. Stand on enemy and hold rip blood. You might not hit 25k without really good legendaries.
but 12-15k is easily reachable
The damage is god awful though because rip blood is a bad skill even with the huge damage of death seal, without death seal it is laughable.
You can squeeze dps out of it with self ignite belt + the increased spell damage for 4 seconds node if you get an enormous amount of cast speed
For the most part this is something you would only play if you are learning boss mechanics and want to be able to take a hit. Once you are comfortable you would respec to a death wave build.
Death wave build is basically the same but you drop twisted heart and spec death seal for damage.
Yes but if it dont say enemies but just say rares.
Thanks
You're correct - Bosses are a different class than Rare Enemies (though Haruspex Orian (sp?) and Ruby Captain Arjani are frequently found in echoes and count as Rare Enemies there) so any "rare enemies x" modifiers on your boss runs are strictly bonus loot and experience.
Thanks.
Man, I wish there was some way to turn storm orb into a fire cast :/
Another question. Does anyone know of a way to extend rebuke to 100% uptime?
Looked around and could not find a way
No, generally nothing shotguns unless it explicitly says so.
Is last epoch confirmed to go 1.0 this year??
no
Ugh that's pretty annoying
Thought there might be a chance considering 9.0 comes out in spring
Welp then I'll just play d4 until LE release
the steam page says 2023 release but i doubt thats accurate
Can primal bulwark work with upheaval totems? I didnt see anything proc when I used it
Is it because the description is 'When YOU use...'?
damn
Hey @viscid musk and @pseudo cipher, sorry, I know this is a late reply. I was looking into the build again, and I noticed something peculiar. So ignite belt is only supposed to trigger on spell cast. How are the stacks working considering cinderstrike isn't a spell cast? Is it all dragonsong, even though it is indirect?
Immolator's oblation has chance to ignite yourself when you use a fire or necrotic skill (doesn't have to be spell) that way you can use cinderstrike to stack ignites on you and the adaptive spell damage for fire and necrotic spells will work with dragonfire since that one is a spell. So while cinderstrike won't benefit from the adaptive their bow proc does
Just saw that as you mentioned it! It's per skill rather than per cast spell.
Thanks 😄
Okay... wow... anamoly is great... but also cheap. Literally can make your ailment stacks on enemies never fall off.
Which is crazy ridiculous when you combine it with something that gives ward based on the amount of ignite on something
I have a question, I use macOS and want play the game via GFN. Can i access to game via Steam?
Do totems count as 'allies'?
Yupp, they should
Okay, another question. In the Warpath Skill, there is the node Earthscorcher which converts Bleed Chance -> Ignite Chance. If I have a bunch of +bleed duration, will that apply to the ignite since, 'effects related to bleed now rely on ignite instead'?
The +bleed duration being on equipment
Just really need my ignite stacks to have about +170% duration :p
No, when it states "effects related to bleed now rely on ignite instead", it means if you had a node like the one below (pic from Void Cleave, not Warpath) that would now work for ignite instead.
Duration, effect, etc. won't change for the ailment, but some of the tree nodes will convert if stated.
Thanks
2 questions: Does divine flare count as a direct cast for sigil of hope (since it's pretty close to one). And, does a 2 handed staff count as a scepter for skills (since it's pretty much the equivalent of a scepter, but 2 handed)
Staves are not sceptres. I'm not sure what you mean by counting as a direct cast, but also I don't remember what divine flare does exactly
Thanks on the scepter info. Divine Flare is where a sigil of hope is consumed for an attack
Happens immediately upon the instance
Another question... this time regarding anomaly. There is a node that allows it to reset ailment lengths. Is this effected by duration+ equipment? Furthermore, there is a node right in front of it where affliction speed goes up 75%. If you use Anomaly twice on an affliction, is this additive?
Well, divine flare most likely counts as being cast by sigils of hope, but you are probably directly casting sigils (not sure whether divine flare triggers when sigils is indirectly cast). It will reset to whatever duration the ailment had when applied, so in a way yes. I assume the faster damage effect stacks additively, as it does for other sources of that I've seen.
Sweet, thanks for the answer. So I'm guessing that means... a +75% the first time it is anamolied, then +150% for the second time?
That's what I would think, yeah
so, for my fifth char (where I followed builds for first 4), a Lich, I decided to just make things up as I go. Im running Spirit Plague (aoe style), Hungering Souls, Wandering Spirits and Soul Feast (will maybe do Reaper as fifth when I hit 50). Im using the Unique Chronicle of the Damned for insane Ward generation while Wandering spirits are up.. Are there other unique stuff/sets that might have good synergy with my current setup that I don't know about?
Does minion AS/CS work with totems? Or is it just specifically 'Cast speed for totems?
Another question. Vessel of Strife. Do you only gain ward for the health regen effect, or would you gain ward from other sources of regenerstion as well? I'm thinking Lich's Transplant with the node drink deep which causes you to regain the health cost over 4 seconds
I believe the transplant node does work with it?
there aren't many sources of regeneration that aren't just regeneration itself, though
Thanks again
A follow up question, if that's okay. I think healing effectiveness effects regen (or am I incorrect there?). Do you know if Would the healing effectiveness boost the regen before it turns into ward?
it does not effect regen
healing effectiveness only effects things specifically called "healing" or that use the word "heal"
Also, I'm wondering what would be the currencies for trading?
Would people trade item for item? Or items for materials? 🤔
With the state that item-transfer is announced for 0.9 - Item Gifting, not a full Trading system - the most likely methods would include:
A) Focused Parties - everyone agrees to add specific line(s) to their lootfilter to funnel those items to one character; each player in said party gets a chance to ask for (a) line(s) added for their farming.
B) Boss Runs - hunting for specific boss items with multiple characters assisting in the target; players repeat activity(ies) until everyone gets a copy of the item, or needs to drop off.
C) Tipping - using random (white) items found during co-op gameplay to shift rare Shards from one character to another; skill levels, Hybrid/Increased Health, etc make a great short-duration way of making sure you've given something to a player who's helping you, even if you're not at a point where you're farming for something - this works as long as craftable items continue to be giftable (might be changed right up until 0.9 release)
Most likely, pickup groups won't use anything but the last example - they're more for the fun of doing the things together, than focused on the loot for the group.
Loot would be client sided, no?
Everyone has their own loot, not a shared pool
correct - all loot is player-instanced at this point.
When a skill says
+X minion Damage
+X minion fire damage
Does that mean minion fire damage gets both values? Or only the fire one?
both
does the wandering spirits node eternal haunt ( reveal spirits for a longer duration ) and Thing Veil ( reveal spirits more frequently ) increase the total number of spirits summoned?
I know Eternal Haunt will increase the total number of spirits; I think Thin Veil does as well, but know for a fact it puts more of them on screen at the same time (Important for damage, shred, and Damned stacking elsewhere in the tree)
Am I wrong in saying the game has very few base items?
"very few" is very subjective - I'll throw a personal opinion out there, though: doubling the number of base items in the game would make it feel too big, but halving it would be intolerable.
I've only seen a few types of items so far.
Like there's only 1 acolyte chest and head piece?
Maybe the others are higher level
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/
Might help you get a better feel for the breadth of it all - because yes, there are about 8 base Body Armors for each class, plus several class-agnositc ones.
Looks like 8 different base Helmets, too.
They are tiered into leveled lists generally, so if you are level 10 you will only see the lowest versions
can someone help me? https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/unity-launch-crash-after-windows-update/51422
I cant launch game after windows update. Everything was fine (160+ hours of grinding) since today midnight when I got windows update. When I try to launch the game I get unity error. I verify files on steam changed le_graphicsmanager for another one from one topic deleted Eleventh Hour Games folder fromm app and reinstall the game I uninstall ...
Hi just a quick question, there is for me no way to give the game back in steam after 70h, after the announcement with the multiplayer, there is for me no interest at the game. I hoped that they would listen to the community but for me its the complete wrong way they are going and i simply don't have interest to learn the game anymore(back to poe i guess)
Need a hand? Just head on down to https://support.lastepoch.com/ for support articles or to reach out to us directly.
ok ty
Though I'm curious what's such a deal-breaker for you?
Is there currently a way to create a filter that only shows Unique items that have LP?
Not currently - you can just "show all unique items" and not pickup items with less LP than you want - the value is visible on mouse-over.
i buyed and played it with the idea that it would go with a community driven market but now with the way how the multiplayer is planned i dont see any reason for me to play it. I love to trade and have the feeling ohh i got a good item not maybe for me but i can sell it and then buy a good item for me. I wrote a longer text in feedback 10.12.2022
I'll take the time to point out that 0.9 is still not the full release of the game; just because trading hasn't made it in, yet, doesn't mean it won't. EHG understands that a player-to-player economy is an important part of ARPGs like Last Epoch, but they're being cautious about how much to add in so that the Solo experience for LE that we all know and love doesn't get suddenly broken, or feel invalid. Playing 0.9 and providing directed feedback will be the best way to help make sure that an open-enough economy gets set up by the developers, as opposed to abandoning the project.
All that being said, LE is still a game, and if it's not fun, don't spend your valuable time playing it; but I hope you won't give up on them entirely, just yet.
For me this is a statment that there will be no trading : "With these conclusions in mind, we decided to pivot away from having economy-based trade and cancelled the plans for the Bazaar."
i provided feedback 2 day later the announcement but i had the feeling there were literately no answers from the devs and i wasnt the only one but for me this is a huge mistake but hey im just a random player so maybe my view is just wrong.
No view is "just wrong" - not even going to entertain an argument there - but by the same token, neither of us is developing the game, either. The best we can do is provide our feedback in timely fashion, and let it be known how we feel about their decisions - "voting with your wallet" is a valid way of letting them know that they've made a mistake, in your opinion. Personally, I dislike the idea of not being able to buy items from other players, though I have no interest in selling stuff on - and have told them as much. Right now, we're waiting for 0.9, the Item Gifting system it will contain, and can then re-iterate on how that's substandard for player-to-player gear systems.
Make decisions that are the best for you, though - hopefully that's enough.
yeah i will think about it thanks for your take and view
Is there any areas to farm specific idols in? or is it just pray rng
there are blessings for certain idol droprates but other than that theyre rng
Idols as an Echo Reward are in the common pool - they show up everywhere, at about equal rates - so, no, nothing we can point you at to get more of them; however, Empowered monoliths without bonus corruption are usually the best starting point for them (fewer special/rare nodes spawning, so more chances for Idol nodes to spawn)
Hello there one question what is the best loot filter to lvl acolyte ?not skills but filter someone have link or sugestions ? 🙂
i would recommend creating your filter as you play
premade filters can be handy but you have no idea what theyre doing unless you look through it
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/0-8-5f-heavyz-casual-loot-filters-for-all-classes-v2-8/25176 Is probably a good starter if you're feeling a bit clueless though.
Hey all, is Trinity of Flames applied to channeled skills (like fireball)? Would it apply crit to the whole attack?
Another question. Maehlin's Hubris... will it cause any bleed chance caused by skills to also convert to ignite? (I doubt this, but I wanted to check)
it makes all bleeds ignites in my experience
Thanks 🙂
even things like spirit plague applying 5 bleed stacks to yourself
becomes 5 ignites
which is quite useful
There's a notable exception for the Laceration Node on Spirit Plague - that will always remain Bleed and won't be converted.
hello. can anyone help real wuick? trying to understand something as a new player
what are you trying to understand?
thx
I'm following a guide, loosely, for a mage build and have completed the points in Mage. I'm at the quest to select a mastery. If I choose one of the 2 in guide, Spellblade, the guide only has 6 points in it? If I choose that one over sorcery first, am I stuck with Spellblade mastery until I get to unlock the 3rd mastery?
Sorcery has 78 points in it and Spellblade only 6
You only choose one mastery and can't change
there is no third mastery unlock so you only get to choose one. However, you can still invest in the bottom half of any mastery that you didn't choose to master in. So you'll get the full tree for the mastered one and half for the rest.
It sounds like you want to choose the Sorcerer mastery then. the first half of Spellblade will open up at the same time so you'll be able to invest in both
oh, so the guy only chose the 1 top passive in spellblade, 6 points and that it. So if I go Sorcery, that first column in Spellblade opens up anyway?
you can allocate points into any mastery, up to the chain in the middle
Right. You'll get the first half of Spellblade but the full tree for Sorc if you choose the Sorc mastery
yw 🙂
does echo work on hammer throw?
If you're a Void Knight, yes.
Question. Sunforged hammer provides ignite chance per forged weapon. Would this ignite chance also effect each forged weapon summon? (So in other words, if you had 13 summon weapon, it provides 546% ignite chance. Does this apply only to you personally, or also the weapons since they are 'summon weapons' and have the weapons stats?
Buffs won't apply to any specific gear slot - it'll only benefit you.
Got it. Hmm... gotta find more ways to give them ignite chance then.
What is the penalty for death in LE
Also, ignite doesn't make mobs take more fire damage or shred resistance, right?
It's just Fire DoT
if you aren't doing endgame monoliths or arena, then mostly nothing
I died like 20 times in the same spot cause mobs spawn camped and surrounded me 🥲
That is correct. No extra damage or resistance shred. Just a flat fire damage over time.
Hey all, do you know if toxic craving on soul feast stacks?
(That's the node that consumes poison for armor)
I'm worried about using it as an additional damage source if using it multiple times results in having less armor than using it once every 4 second
Toxic Craving consumes poisons on an Enemy to grant You extra armor and poison resistance; it doesn't reduce your armor at all. Mind you, it does reduce the Poison damage dealt to enemies, because they're being consumed, instead.
Sorry I probably didn't explain it well. Will I get less of an armor boost using soul feast every 2 seconds rather than every 3) because it is consuming different amount of poison stacks for the buff). Or would the buffs from the consume (which last 4 seconds) stack?
The buff will stack - so you'll a number of stacks equal to how many stacks of poison you can apply in 4 seconds.
That's irrespective of Soul Feast's cast-speed, however.
Probaly ought ask a second question while I'm at it if that's alright. Will soul feast node that causes recasts use recast time (or will it allow you to cast other things during like with shattering strike)
Thanks 😄
I believe all the recasts in the game are built to not consume Player-time while being used; though they have different stances on Movement; you should be able to start casting other skills while Soul Feast is being recast.
I could be wrong - might be good to double-check in #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs, but I wouldn't expect an answer before ~6 hrs from now. Or anyone else here who actually knows can sound off.
Thanks, yeah just trying to check before I build something
Debating between running drain life for the damned stacks and heal or running aura of decay and using the extra mana to cast soul feast more 🙂
I think on bosses I can get it down to 12 mana per cast even after the recasts if I consider the mana gain node... which might make recasting worth it.
So thanks for humoring these questions
It stacks and will generally ensure you have capped armor. It is extremely strong defensively.
Hey all, transplant has a node which allows it to leave a minion. Does this add the minion skill tag to it (thinking about using it with the dark rituals passive for more cast speed)
Iirc they are minions
The main "minions" that aren't minions are echoes and shadows pretty sure
Im following this guide, but when i import the lootfilter, it says i cant load in the chat. Help plis https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/KBgRp7RQ
I know they are considered minions, but does it give transplant the minion tag? Reason being that node needs the minion tag in order to do anything :p
Transplant itself won't have the minion tag, but the minions it creates do have the minion tag
You aren't modifying the skill itself by taking that node, the only thing that changes is what happens after you cast it
Got it! Thanks!
does crow storm get converted to cold damage if you convert the birds to cold?
at least it looses the lightning tag and gains a cold tag - so i guess thats a "yes"
That is how it works, yes.
Question about 'conductor of plagues' node in spirit plague. Does it prevent you from focusing a single target with poison?
(since it replaces the cast with a spreading mechanism)
It just makes every other cast spread instead of applying a new spirit plague
So if you’re wanting to use the poison on application as a single target damage source, that would halve your application rate
Thanks!
Hey guys I’m new here. How do sets and crafting work in last epoch? I started a mage sorcerer like 3 days ago and it’s very overwhelming.
Hey all, a quick question. Probably going to run spirit plauge leech and use some mechanics to get tons of damned stacks on myself. At that point, I can go one of two ways. I have a tool on that will allow me to ultimately get on average a 16x multiplier on damned stacks. On the other hand, I have a node in Death Seal that will multiply each death wave's damage by 10. Which is better viable towards a high damage build?
I watched this and it seemed to be helpful: https://youtu.be/_vfQZUaPQkg
In this Last Epoch Crafting guide for beginners I teach new players in 2022 how to get the most out of crafting from day 1 in Last Epoch, and extremely fun action rpg currently in open access.

Hi; I try to follow a build and had to respec a few skills. The thing is now I’m missing a skill point compared to the character in the build guide. Is this point lost like am I always gonna be a point behind from the guide ? Thanks
No - respecing skills just requires that you re-level them; they'll gain extra xp while recouping a level, in general, too.
Ok so with that extra xp I should catch up ?
You will, eventually, yes. If nothing else, skills have a maximum level that they can reach, at which point you're caught up, no matter your character level.
Good news, thanks for the answer 😊
Death Seal almost certainly
Ok thanks
Hey, i'm getting an error ''Unable to connect to the database'' when trying to load a build on the build planner, anyone knows how to fix it?
share the planner link?
That build link might be messed up
@bronze ocean Would know the specific reasoning, but the request fails trying to pull that build up
i was just trying to follow this guide
it's my first time playing this
@viscid musk Maybe he has another build planner link or can fix that one.
@safe comet Actually he has other level planners on his youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtUE_eb0oCk

I uploaded a lootfilter?😅 i dont recommend to use mine, they are too strict and only useful for endgame once you have loot.
what would you recomend for a new player? make my own or is it heavy'z good ? https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/0-8-5f-heavyz-casual-loot-filters-for-all-classes-v2-8/25176
Hey there, I decided to work on some loot filters, for more casual players that don’t want to bother to much with the new Loot Filter that much. Those Loot Filters are also a great template to create your personal Loot Filter. Overview: What are those Loot Filters doing? Hide normal items from level 15 and above Hide all Items not fo...
Heavyz's are just a great jump off point. You will want to customize it for affixes and item types you need
The nice thing is that they are already framed out pretty well, you just have to fill in the details
Thanks. Yeah I'm thinking about going that route. I just have to decide if it's worth being a little less safe (since death seal removes my ward) :p. Another question if it's okay with you. A node in the soul feast tree increases the intensity of an ailment by 3x. If my weapon has an 20x multiplier, would this be additive (23x multiplier) or multiplicative (60x multiplier) for the skill soul feast?
I'd need to know the wording of each modifier
if they use "increased" they're additive
are you talking about the damned duration thing in soul feast?
Nah, the next node over. The duration supposedly applies to all stacks (which is cool). The intensity node does say increase, so it looks like its additive.
ah yeah, it's "effectiveness" or "effect"
which is additive with other sources of effectiveness
but is a separate multiplier from increased damage
The Warlock class for Acolyte.
Is it coming soon? Or do I unlock it later?
it's not in the game yet, coming with 1.0 release
re:safety, unless you have a pretty insane amount of ward, death seal is definitely the safest way to play lich due to the damage reduction and overleech
Looking at around 25-30K ward probably. Maybe higher.
Yeah... and if I get it to the endurance threshold it shouldn't be too bad honestly
Guess death seal it is 🙂
yeah, unless I had a particular goal in mind with trying to face tank something for the sake of it, I'd almost always go death seal since it almost doubles your damage by itself
without even considering stuff like death waves or triggering hungering souls
Oh yeah, that's something I should ask as well. Do the souls from that have the same issue as the souls from hungering souls where only 1 can hit an enemy every so often because of posess?
I was pretty sure that was the case but not 100% sure
Yes
They're still Hungering Souls
And I know soulfire doesn't remove this effect... so I'd have to spec into souls
They'll also benefit from the Hungering Souls tree if you have it
Not sure if it's worth it :/
something to try, depends what else you're trying to spec
but hungering is a pretty solid skill
Yeah, just not sure if it's worth it over the other slots. Got soul plague, transplant, reaper form, transplant, and death seal. The required ones are soul plague and transplant, so I can't drop those, and I'm not sure it's worth dropping any of the others for hungering souls tbh :p
Actually... just want to confirm something about Status DoTs before I go forward
Let's say for a 3 second ailment, you put a stack on an enemy, and then another stack a second later. Each stack is going to count it's 3 seconds independently, correct?
It's not going to cut one off or refresh the stacks, right?
It should be working now. It happens randomly because of some caching issue, but I disabled caching for now, so it won't happen again.
at what level is best to attempt some of the dungeons like lightless arbor and soulfire bastion? Are they meant for endgame?
You can tackle their lowest version almost instantly. as they have different tiers so they are both early game and late game at the same time.
ok ty. you need keys for every entry right?
Yep
Hey all, question about critical hits. Do they multiply the added flat damage or not? I've seen statements made both ways.
And another question. I was under the impression that things like increased necrotic damage and increased damage didn't stack. I've looked at the formulas and it seems they do. Just wanted to check if that is correct.
- IIRC, 'added flat damage' is accounted for before being multiplied by critDmg, so flat damage is something you'd want to prioritize at all times.
- They do stack, they just use different calculations. 'Increased damage' affects everything you throw out, and 'necrotic damage' only affects necrotic damage part of your arsenal.
All "increased" modifiers are additive with each other
Thanks both of you 🙂
Question. I'm running a soul plague build with Exsanguination. Bleeds to opponents get a duration equal to that of soul plague according to the nodes. Does the bleed to self from Exsanguination also get that duration? If they do, and you are using Maehlin's Hubris to turn the self bleed to self ignite, does the ignite also get that duration?
Sorry for the double post but I think it got skipped in the rogue channel. Does taking flaming shots in ballista give them the fire minion tag? Tools site is unclear and I'm at work so can't check in game
Does anybody know if the manifest armor node that gives flat damage from your body armor scales only from the implicit armor or it also takes suffixes into account?
All the manifest armor bonus from player nodes should take into account all affixes on the armor pieces iirc. Not sure 100% though
Is 100% crit avoidance all you ever need or are there mechanisms where you might want more?
100% should be iy
I don't know of any ailments that curse you and lower it or anything
I don't think there's currently any method of having Critical Vulnerability placed on you, but that will reduce your Crit Avoidance by 5% per stack if it does.
if you cast something applying an alliment the alliment is applied before the hit calculation is done?
I'm confused what you are asking. There is no chance to hit or attack rating calculation in LE unless I'm wildly blind
there is a lot of stuff like "does more damage per stack of X on the target"
if i apply the X with a skill is the damage calculation done after applying X
Oh I see I see. Is the skill benefited by 15 stacks or the 16th stack you just applied
Honestly no clue, good question
Although moment to moment, will you ever see or know the difference?
on some skills ... a lot 😉
crow storm from storm crows e.g. scales heavily with shock stacks not only by "natural effect" but also by a node as a multiplier and crow storm can have 500-600% shock chance
having 6 extra stacks is a lot of damage
I guess if you have a 600% shock chance then I can see that
if you have 600% shock chance w/ crows you're probably at max stacks on any target where it matters
Also a good point lol
single crow is not really good at applying
crowstorm has a cooldown and is the only part with high chance so mobs usually dont get many stacks before the storm lands thats why i brought up this question
New stacks are added after the on-hit calculation is done (since the chance to apply ailments on-hit is calculated at the same time); so if you're a stack-count-checking build, you have to include most of your ramp time in the first few hits.
Notable use cases are for Summon Raptor, Summon Storm Crow, Ashes of Mortality, and Immolator's Oblation.
How do I augment resistances please ? Is it only through gear ?
Through monolith's blessings too.
Some character passives confer specific resistances as well.
Thanks 😊
yeah, ideally you want very little resistance crafted on your gear
you'd prefer to get it via things like blessings, passives, item implicits
so you can use those affix slots on your gear for things like health, crit avoidance, armor, etc
Ok got it thanks
I’m trying to install a lootfilter (autobomber updated). I clicked on download and got the text document but it seems I need an xml for the game to see it ? How can I do that ?
And by the way what do I do with unused gear ? Recycle ? Sell to merchant ?
If it has an affix you want to craft later, use a rune of shattering. Otherwise, sell it to a vendor. Gold wise- it’s not very worthwhile to pick things up only to vendor
The vendor gives you very little gold for gear, so if an item isn’t of use to you, you’ll generally just leave it on the ground
When you go to the loot filter menu on game it should have an import option that will let you paste the import string
Unless where you got the filter from has it as the raw filter xml instead of the import string, which would be a bit weird
It’s from here
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
In a video he says to copy the raw at the bottom of the page but there is no such thing
Btw I’m not sure if I should enable it before endgame 🤔
Or use the leveling up lootfilter in the other video
make your own its super easy 🙂
And those calculation do look like this ? - "increased x_single_x elemental damage" is higher then "increased x_all_x damage". Just asking because some "increased fire res" for example has higher value for this res then "increased all ele res" ?
specific stat modifiers are usually higher in rolls than general modifiers
they are additive all the same tho in terms of calculations
That was what was almost sure. Another quesion
more complicated i guess
So for example we have a cold-dot-bear with tree node Aspect of Might which "increases melee dmg per point int strenth"
and then we could have around 80 str for example so at the end it gives like 80% incr dmg for 8 points in a tree
and then I see a T7 prefix on rings that can increase dmg for 100-120% with a single mod
while strentght T7 has only 13-16 max then my question is it even worth to stack str ?
or this is similiar situation where strenth increase overall (global ?) damage and other prefix for increased cold damage is lower ?
Well keep in mind that strength already does things, you are just adding to its functionality. Second, t7 affixes are super endgame and getting the one you want on the target you want is pretty rare. You can't really compare the two. Third, and idk if this is the case, but are you sure that aspect of might is 1% increase per strength?
yes it says 1% indreased melee per point of str
Yeah strength has the value of not only giving you dmg, but also scaling a defensive stat (armor), so it has more value
Ok thanks I’ll try that
Ahh. I could see it being increased to like 2% sure. But if there are better places to spend your eight points then do it
if a single stat can scale your character offensively and defensively, then it's worth more, because it does more. Despite not having the higher dmg output.
so even we have really rare rings with a T7 str (13-16max) or increased cold dmg (100-120%) then str is useless i guesss ?
Also, 80 strength seems reallllly high, unless you are getting like t6 rolls one every single piece of non unique gear
No str is definitely not useless
~80 for a stat is probably about right for the upper end
Hmm. I guess so if you are specifically stat stacking
i dont want to talk about defensive layers when we both know that str also applies to armor
I hit somewhere around there on Acolyte on my builds, because int is such a huge stat for minions
But you have to if you are talking about if str is useful to invest in
just want to know if for werebear cold-based-dmg it is worth to put 8 points in aspect of might and have 80% more melee dmg
Wait wait
no dude because my build has no problems at defenses even without those 80 str that i currently not stacked
Is it 80% increased or 80% more?
it is 1% increase per every point in str
yeah you were wondering if it's worth, strength giving you an additional scaling (1% or 2% melee dmg, whatever it is) on top of it already having skill scaling probably, so (4% inc dmg for x skill) and then also giving you armor. Yeah it's pretty much the only stat you want in that scenario
I mean do you have better nodes invest in?
there are some shaman tree nodes that just increase cold dmg
so when put that 8 points into them they could give rather more offensive dmg
with added bonuses to freez rate or you know
Try it both ways and see what benefits you more then
Why not
But really, you can always use more survive and armor
am not good at calculation but for me that stacking of str is not so good as most guides says
Especially if you are corruption pushing
any node that gives less than like 8% of dmg is not comparable to the strength node, imo.
Stat stacking is very good for certain builds
dude my bear is 6-7k ward so i consider even to drop some resistances
you asked what was worth
i asked for offensive layers and dmg
if i will have some problems on defenses i will consider str as a defensive stat
at this point my build is rather a hybryd but need to know what side should i put more
I mean I guess it depends what you want to do. In general, or how most would interpret the stats value, that str node and str stacking would be superior
