The Cadence of Death node should buff the bleeds from every 3rd Puncture hit (since it just says more damage, not more melee/bow damage) but doesn't, I'll post it as a bug report.
Do I get that right that sanguine hoard is build enabling for bleed hail of arrows and without it you can't add more bleed chance other than that from its tree to it?

Correct, without Sanguine Hoard, you can't apply bleeds with Hail of Arrows (apart from taking the Skystrike node since that counts as a hit & so will apply bleeds or taking the Tear Flesh node).
How does Lp work with merging relics, can I just...Get any class specific one and combine it with a non-class specific unique?
yes but if you hit class-specific affix the legendary will become class-specific

It takes the total regen
So any way you can buff that health regen figure will give you more melee cold damage.

I am playing a bleed focused blademaster that uses umbral blades cast by my shadows to stack bleed. I am wondering, does the bleed that is applied by my shadows skills get increased with "increased damage of skills used by shadows" on my armor?

As far as I know, this is essentially correct. It is not affected by any Meteor-specific affixes (like the Vilatria's staff that converts Meteor to Lightning).
With that said, I just realized that taking that node adds the Fire tag to Black Hole. Which could probably be used in some way with the various element-specific nodes on the Sorcerer tree.
Hi guys. The game crashes when I launch it on my laptop with dual monitors, but works fine when the second monitor is disabled. Any idea how to fix this?
I did the file check and deleted the settings file as advised on the forum, but that didn't help.

There is increased strain on a PC when there is more than one monitor so it's possible it's just not liking it.
I've been playing with this setup for 5+ years, and this is the first game with this problem.
Btw I've also looked at the game's forum and subreddit, there are several people who have encountered this problem
Post your player.log, dxdiag report, le_graphicsmanager.ini to the technical support section of the forum and I will have a look. It could be something in the laptop thats dynamically swapping internal iGPU with discreet GPU depending on the monitor uses. Revelasti could also be correct in assuming that your use of a second monitor (depending on how its technical configured) could add additional strain on the GPU especially if you are trying to run LE with higher settings or refresh rates on the 1060.
If my Tempest Strike buffs "lightning Bolt" in its tree, do those buffs also buff "Lightning Bolt" in the Leap Slam tree? Or are those not global?
Also, if I spec "Lightning Bolt has a chance to summon storm totems", and I have idols that if I spend 10 or more mana cast a lightning bolt - can those also summon storm totems? 🤔
Nope. It would only affect Tempest Strike Lightning Bolt. Usually if it was going to affect other skills or global damage, the skill will say "global" or "affect next skill" or for X seconds if its going to apply to other skills.
Maybe. The tempest lighting bolt according to lastepochtools seems to cost 10mana so if the idols are proc;ing on any skill, not ones you cast, it should work. I'd got test it on some enemy dummies. Problem is that its "a chance" so it may be difficult to test/see.
That mana cost isn't used.
Or rather, if you could manually cast that skill it would use the mana cost, but you can't so it isn't

You have to aim at the ground somewhere not on the boss, but lagon is infamous for lots of stuff not working properly
Yip. Lagon has a hit box "issue" due to the ledge. Aim/target the ledge immediately in front of him in the middle as a workaround for targetting him. He is unfortunately a big buggy bastard at the moment and there are quite a few quirks with certain skills in his fight..

I started Last Epoch a few days ago for he first time after a few months and started a new character. My mighty Primalist is now lvl 46 and i’m in the Divine Era with the Quest „Rahyeh’s Warpath“. My current objective is „Make your way past the forces of Solarum“…and here’s where my problem begins: For he love of god, i can’t see ANY way to reach the burning forest. I remember yesterday, the last thing i did was the big double Bossfight at the end of the Gates of Solarum (Spymaster big-snake and Admiral too-many-legs), and apparently i forgot something after that? I’m now stuck in the Gates of Solarum with an empty Boss Area and no way forward…which depresses my mighty Primalist quite a bit! ^^
Since i’m not entirely sure if i fucked it up or if it’s a „true bug“ (let’s face it, it’s probably the first option), i wanted to check if maybe anyone here can help me before putting up an official ticket. 🙂

No, because you gain the same stability with four players completing one echo together as you do with four players all completing different echoes (assuming each echo has the same stability reward).
If all do the same echo the party gets 4 of the same boss fights, which could be good if you farm specific blessings. But splitting up would result in 4 different boss fights and therefore faster quest progress assuming this is before empowered or am I missing something?
Maybe the question is just pretty vague because it depends on what the "most optimal way" means, for quest progress the answer seems to be yes, for farming a specific blessing plitting up would not be the most optimal way

What they are trying to get across is that they dont want there to be way to "cheese" the system by playing multiplayer, exactly like youre describing. How they are solving that issue im not sure of, but theyve said they dont want that to be a thing in general

I'm pretty sure the stat is "increased stun chance"
it's increasing your base stun chance, which is based on the damage of the hit vs the enemy's max hp
so 100% is doubling it, more than 100% increases it even more
Leveling Shaman, just got Ice Thorns for first time (only 5 points so far) But when I tried to use it on autocast, I can't move. Apparently when it casts I have to be standing still. So no autocast for this skill?

Double exalts are quite rare. I’d hold onto it, maybe some use in the future by itself or for a legendary

I believe it's a 10% chance. Make sure to stack rarity when you kill him. It will increase the chances of seeing it. TL:DR do him with as many modifiers as possible

For minions, do you generally want to aim for damage, health, or primary stat (in my case, attunement, to scale hp and damage, since forged weapons). With all three being prefixes you can't really focus on all three, not sure what the proper balance is.
health til you arent dying. dam and primary are the same. pick whichever scales harder
no reason that I recall, but the subject has been discussed many times with various solutions offered by players over the years - everything from straight unlocking monos for all alts to unlocking it once you have a char that dings 100. plenty of suggestions. Devs are mum on the subject thos.
reg monos seem like they are unlocked at a good time. emp ones are the issue imo

I followed abyssal echoes from epoch builds, its basically autobomber up to a certain point but abyssal echoes adds so much single target its great
Done. But be sure to put your own spin on it. Dorb is so strong that you dont have to follow other builds exactly, variations work.

I think it's a valid approach too and a design choice. You can see it as part of the mandatory quests and emp is the endgame. You can already skip huge parts of the story. For me personally I find it nice to go through low level monos to progress a char and its gear. In poe especially in ssf I'm often a bit lost how to progress a new char or would rather progress the atlas again with it instead of having everything unlocked already. Both approaches have its pros and cons and different people like the one or the other more
Many things LE does differently than poe I really like and I think that's a goal, to not be another poe

Do you level faster? Isn't xp capped anyways. Emp blessings are a valid point tho
Well, I think the monos yield more % experience in empowered. Level is capped at +5, but you're right maybe exp isn't a huge impact.
But yes, going through with alt chars and collecting the blessings just feels bad when I know I'll have to go back and replace all of them later.

One thing I can think about is also frustration. If you have the option to do emp right away you will possibly do it and maybe your char isn't ready for that and you quit instead of going regular
Sure if you are pretty experienced you would rather go emp asap but maybe the devs want to prevent the majority of players to do too hard content too soon
Yeah I wish. Path of exile at least has account wide process on most things outside the campaign progress on a new character. It's nice to just jump in immediately and share progress. Empowered monos and high corruption probably make that funky for a new level 50, so each character likely should start from the beginning but at least they are all unlocked.

hey all, question - if I'm after Dragonsong (https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBsCYBYGYg) for my Hail of Arrows marksman, is it the most efficient to just keep doing echoes in random direction away from the center of Fall of the Outcasts, ignoring stability and the Quest echoes, sprinkling in corruption if I meet and can handle it? Is there any benefit to resetting the timeline by completing the 3 quest echoes?
Since I'm only after the unique/set item echoes.
(Which, as I understand it, are the only way to get this bow...)

The further away you are from the starting point the more likely you are to find the more rare echos, as well as the higher corruption you have
I would advise against farming it in non-empowered monos though
the bow can drop anywhere, its just that the bow ones are the best way to specifically farm it
Hello fellow gamers ! I'm new on this discord. I have a question concerning a certain "stat" in the game : Shadow Dagger Effect. From what I read, Shadow Dagger Effect previously reduced the amount of stacks you needed to proc Shadow Dagger. What does it do now ? For exemple, if I have a helmet with 50% Increased Shadow Dagger Effect, what does it do exactly ? If it increase the damage, then a simple "generic" damage line is always better, like "Increased Damage while wielding a dagger" ?
It increases shadow dagger damage
But it does so multiplicatively instead
So if you got 1000% increased from other sources and 50% effect
It's like if you had 1500%

With the automated filters, what would be a good time to remove the lower tier gear highlighting? By this I mean the White, Yellow, Blue, Orange and Red filter rules. I'm assuming white, blue and yellow would be removed first, but I wasn't sure if there was a good time to do so.
I couldn't answer that. No idea how the auto filters work or your build or anything. That's why I recommend making your own filters so you know what they are doing and how to manage them.

there are echos reward with specific unique types in empowered like unique bow/quiver for example
idk if its just strange rng, but twice it happened to me that I got many of the unique glove rewards for example at 100 corruption and almost none at 200
Dragonsong has a roughly 15% chance to be created from a Rune of Ascendance and about 10% chance from a Bow Unique Echo node (in Fall of the Outcast Timeline) on lvl 100 monoliths and about 0.5% change to drop from an Any Unique Echo Reward (in lvl 100 monoliths).

Well yes, but the unique bow echoes are quite rare, impossible to "farm" them really. I mainly just see "unique item" echoes, which may drop anything, and even those are perhaps 10-15% of echo types.
was mostly looking at the boardmans set which seems to be some totem/minion hybrid set
no idea if its good but im just messing about at this stage
(I've only seen perhaps 2 unique bow echoes ever in my endgame playtime)
i think i've gotten 2 from the nodes and 1 from a random drop in about ~5 hours
There are significantly more "bow unique" nodes in empowered, and even moreso if you increase your corruption
And generally its not worth farming non-empowered as you'll have to farm the empowered version anyway later as the blessings are just strictly better (besides getting way less loot and xp in general)

Filters can be a blessing and a danger. So for first time filter creators (i.e. beginners) I'd recommend something simple
The danger of filters is that if you overcomplicate them, then you could end up ruining your loot drops and getting frustrated with the game without realising it.
On 'performance issues'. I bought the game about 2 weeks ago, and with everything maxed I seemed to be pushing around 130fps on 3440x1440p. 5950X, 3090 Strix, ssd, fast ram (as the system). When I was streaming on Sunday - on some maps - my fps would drop to around 20 during fights? Also, sometimes when I'd zone in the map, it would 'lock' at around 2 fps, until I alt-tabbed out and back in. Any ideas? When I look at actual cpu/gpu usage it doesn't seem like they are being maxed out. I haven't Googled this yet, wanted to ask here in case there's a go-to authority on optimizing performance in the game.

Hmm... Open a thread on the technical support part of the forum, and post your player.log, dxdiag report (assuming windows) and the le_graphicsmanager.ini - there are a few things that could be happening that can cause odd things like this.... While there are map instances where fps drops can and do occur, usually framerates dont drop down to 2fps unless there is something wrong or something else involved. Even dropping from 130-20fps is not normal. And definitely not on your level of hardware.

If you want to specialize EQ you need atleast 15 points in shaman yes

the cheesy strat is to spend 15 points, specialize it, then respec those 15 points

Hi, I'm a bit confused, working on a loot filter atm and cant find "spell (or void) dmg leeched as life". What am I missing?
There are no spell dmg leeched as health affixes that doesnt have the channelling condition (and those are only available to mages and acolytes)
There is however a blessing that gives you up to 5% spell dmg leeched as life, which should be enough in most cases, its from the black sun
I think some uniques have it as well.

if you're looking for void leech specifically for something like void knight- you should get all you need via passives and anomaly spec tree

There's probably some really good builds that scale with high attack speed or cast speed, with ailment chance, but not scaling the initial hit damage.
Such as many many minions that attack super fast and have [ailment] chance.
I guess I'd have to scale minion damage then in that case, instead of my own Inc Damage over Time or whatever.

the higher the area level, the higher the chance of FP on Uniques, if that answers your question.

so show everything as default. Then just add a rule like this... sec.
The "Show all items with 12 affixes" is where you can create your loot filter
And click "Advanced Options and say you want it to have a total affix tiers of X (start with a low number, like 3 or 4), and increase it if you're seeing too many items that you cant work with. But be careful with that.
With the Affixes you want to show, include generic stuff and then build-specific stuff:
Generic:
All 3 Health affixes (flat health, percent health, hybrid health)
All 9 Resistance types
Build-specific stuff:
Depends if you're doing damage, or minions, or whatever. I can point out these stats if you need help and share your build concept.

Lastly, click "Show" on the left and change it to "RECOLOR", and pick a color you want. Magic/Rare/Unique, is obviously already taken.

Hyrbid health is 1 affix that has both Flat Health and % Inc Health.
So get all healht and resistance in your affixes.
Then search for keywords that are intuitively good. for example, search for the word "Minion".
Then you'll find stuff like "Minion Health", "Minion Damage".
Also, search for the keyword such as "Skeleton"
And you'll find stuff like "+ Maximum Number of Skeletons", and "+ Level to Summon Skeletons"
Click all those, be generous. As gear drops you will identify which stats you value over others. For example, if you click "Minion Crit Chance", and keep finding gear with minion crit chance but don't plan to build minion crit, you can deselect it.
E.G. Here are the one's you'll most likely want selected already, and the yellow slash is build-specific. i.e. are you building minion spell dmg? melee dmg? phys dmg?

so I've been using Spirit Plague to supplement my damage and I've been wondering if that's good or not
yeah. And Int increases Ward Retention (essentially, your ability to get more Ward (this game's version of Energy Shield) and reduces the regen rate of it). And Int of course scales certain skills.

You can do wahtever you like, because showing more affixes will show you more items (as a different color if you set it up that way). If you find that yoiu don't like Endurance anymore, you can hit Shift + F (hotkey for Filter interface), and just quickly drop Endurance from the affix list, and it will auto update.
It's a fantastic mechanic / system they've built.
This is kinda of interesting/crazy. Wonder if anyone has made a build around this combo.

It's preference, but I find "Total Affix Tiers of" == More or Equal to; and then pick a number.
Start low, you can always increase it if you feel like you're seeing too many items that are not good enough
what about Tier of Individual Modifiers?
ALSO, as you level, the items will naturally drop with more total affix tiers. (not max tiers. Max tiers is always 5, unless the item is "Exotic", can be Tier 6 or 7, not sure if it can be higher than that though).
The point is, you'll want to increase this number slightly as you level.
I'm not sure, but I think that could be dangerous, because you have so many affixes selected, are you asking the item to show only if all listed tiers are above X tier?

Also, I like "Total affix tiers" because of how the crafting works in this game. As long as you hit the Affix you want, even if it's T1, you can upgrade it... It's so easy.

Say you have "Show Affix Tiers more or equal to 4", and you get an item that drops with T3 Health and T1 Minion Damage. BOOM BOOM BOOM, upgrade Minion Damage 3 times in the forge.
or BOOM BOOM, and maybe you want to throw a resistnace on if the item has an open Suffix.
You'll find that crafting (forge; "F" key and can be done from anywhere) gives you so much flexibility and gear upgrade potential.
Craft like your life depends on it - because it does.

So add that to your loot filter, and play the campaign, and you'll find a ton of gear that you can do something with ( as long as your affixes are expansive yet beneifical, and your Total Affix Tiers is low to start).

Sounds like you might not have enough damage then, unless you're referring to a boss fight specifically.
so adding things like "minion damage" etc, to your filter, will be nice for you.

since you're using Spirit Plague, make sure you're also adding things like "Necrotic Damage", "Spell Damage", and "Damage Over Time"
I'd also add attributes. Intelligence.
Now, as you can see, you're spreading yourself into two different camps: damage for minions on gear, and spell damage for you on gear.
This typically could not be the best thing (there may be mechanics in this game that turn it into a great synergisitic build, I can't speak to that). And you likely won't struggle til late end game when min-max really matters.
But keep in mind, you are focusing on scaling 2 non-syergistic things such as your own spell damage, but also trying to scale the damage of your minions.

I'd keep your options open. You might end up getting a nice staff, or a nice wand. It really all depends on your affixes.

Convergence prevents any hits (chain/fork) to hit additional targets but your main target.
question, what is this. I've seen it a couple times on the ground and it shows up on the minimap too, but i can't see it even by temporarily disabling the loot filter.

Hello. I know DPS isn't everything and it isn't the only measure but what do you guys think the ballpark figure for empowered monolith farming is? I can do them and die like once every 7-8 nodes (usually due to not paying attention) but since this is my first build after like 2 years, not sure if I it is good enough or too slow. I might consider playing a better build to farm some items if I am hampering myself sticking with current one. As my gear progress slowed down quite a bit currently.
DPS is really hard to quantify what would be a good value because there are so many different factors. I am sure someone here will try and give you a hard fast value but some things with lower dps can be as good as other things with huge one shot nukes due to things like shreds and ailment stacking. Defense is far more important in LE. imho, I aim for about 800% increased damage of a single chosen type when building a char. that seems to be enough to get through decently in empowered monoliths and dungeons. It assumes a decent level of flat damage but thats my target. Its very simplistic, but most times it works. Pushing high corruption needs more but thats a different requirement than enjoying the game and doing all the content.
As you know, some builds are better at clearing vs single target boss fights so that could also be something that you need to consider - i.e. its not so much the damage its how many mobs its dealing with too - especially if you want to farm for drops etc.

The most obvious thing is that you dont seem to have any mana earning beyond mana regen. Sure shield gets the refund and reversal helps, but nothing gains you mana.

It's got a lot of "big" mana spenders (anomaly, sigils) that constantly drain when on cooldown, right?
I have played many Sentinel builds and the one thing thats never usually a problem is mana. you can get a lot and you can easily have a skill that earns more than enough to keep you topped off. Most LE builds need a mana earner no matter what class or build type.

and shield charge should just revert
the big problem I can see is that when all yoru stuff goes off, you'll be getting to empty over a few seconds and then volatile reversal won't get you back to wear you started
but if you spam it because it has no cooldown it uses its 50 mana sometimes

@tiny jungle I think there may be a bug in the shield rush . I have been doing some testing. The refund of the shield rush mana doesnt happen if you hit an obstacle and dont release the keypress/mousebutton. It lags and skips refunds... If you hit shield rush in a tap tap fashion and not holding down the key, then the refund works more often but even then, if it is hitting map obstacles it doesnt work properly. Its worse if the shield rush distance is short - i.e. bashing into a wall close to the char each time.
I think this is why you cannot get it to work properly with mana management.

poison is totally binary though. Either your skill can apply like 200+ stacks and you actually deal damage or your skill cant apply 200+ stacks and it does nothing at all.
I say 200 because aura of decay can do like 120 if you factor in effect and its still horrible

So I’m on my first play through and been following the infernal souls lich build, currently level 47 and I just seem to be struggling with getting gear that goes with my build? How does it work? Do I just play through the campaign until I can do monoliths and dungeons and that’s where I get the actual gear I need for my build? Or am I missing something because the gear I’m getting just playing is awful and doesn’t have anything I neee, not even good items as a baseline for me to craft my own
Crafting is how you fill the gaps. That early on though your gear is going to suck.

those icons aren't always right. Umbral blades can't get fire tag for example.

Yeah the explosion has the tag, but its weird that the icon is there. Lots of cases where a subskill with the tag doesn't show up on those icons.
Like enchant weapon has a 2 subskills but it never gets tags for lightning or cold, nor does it display those icons

I want to build a pure bossing build for my next character. What's some recommendations (preferably with guides)
Suggestion.
Paladin or Forge Guard Manifest Armour, Void Cleave or Shield Throw version - bleed/void damage options. General idea is that you hit your Manifest armour with void cleave or shield throw, causing it to do massive damage to everything around it - in the millions if you min/max and time skill rotations well. Bleed version takes advantage of a skill interaction that consumes all bleed stacks immediatly for huge damage. Various versions of the builds to mess with - all work. Very good bosser and pretty good clearing too.

There are lots of affixes like this - they require specific classes or items only.
Lots of them were also changed after they were added to the game when the devs realised they were OP for certain classes. The descriptions unfortunately were not updated with the new info tho so it generally causes some confusion.
Forge Guards in particular have very big minion health options in the passive and lets face it, a Manifest Armour minion can already be incredibly tanky, adding more health makes it virtually immortal with even minor health leech.

This particular interaction is different because Sentinels only "true" minion (Manifest armour) is different to those of primalists/acolytes so it sort of makes sense once you understand the differences. Sure, Rings of Shields and Forged Weapons are minions but still different. If this affix wasnt avaible for primalists vs acolytes that that wouldnt make sense at all imho.

You mean health leech? Manifest armour gets it from Ribbons of Blood ring usually.
Depends on which MA build you are going for, there are multiple - some just use the MA as a sponge, others use it as the primary Ddealer, still others throw it in for sh1ts and giggles.
@shut vault you need to do the quest echo where you make the choice. but tbh I don't know where to find this information. if one clicks at the quest echo there is always the text "contains unfinished timeline" or smth like that even if this quest echo doesn't have a choice or even if I unlocked all already
the quest tracker is also not helpful with that as it doesn't tell you which quest echo you need to do to make the choice
Yes i figured it was some fuckury with my quests, problem is I ran every monolith in order and my quest is still pinging me everywhere in this zone and not really helping
well there are multiple monoliths which have 2 branches and if you did them only once then there is a branch missing
you can't unlock both branches in one go
but lets see, you said you need the 66 one, which is the black sun, for that you need to do the boss (3rd quest echo) in fall of the outcasts and pick unlock lv66 monolith after defeating it
the lv75 one is then from completing the black sun

Its a low chance per node, the chance to get rarer nodes increase the further away you are from the starting point and the more corruption you have
Just a side note, if youre farming for those nodes, do not do it in non-empowered monoliths as youll just end up wasting your time

Yes, search on Youtube for Death Seal and/or Volatile Zombies, some of them generate lots of ward.

Combine that with effects like those on Last steps of the living or Exsanguinous, and you have a ward build with death seal -- though you need other parts too

Lich is great for ward builds but there is one issue. Death seal is just directly better than ward builds unless you start getting t7 %life rolls on every single slot.
and even then you lose damage for it
Twisted heart might work better than LL ward at least since you can actually use reaper form and endurance but that would be a very late game switch you make
I have a confusing issue - I'm testing a tri-element elemental nova build. From my skill tree and my passive tree I'm thinking I should have at least 70% chance to ignite on hit, but the training dummy is never ignited

It seems that any ailments that only proc on a specific element cast don't work when it's channelled, and any ailments that proc on any will work

That's not matter because he has some other ailment chance elsewhere, but he says he still can't apply any ailments when channeling
Not if the dev can help it. Currently, everyone will start new on the online character/multiplayer servers but all offline chars that we all have right now will remain as they are and can continue to be played. No wipes. Note however that offline & online characters will be entirely independant of each other. i.e. no imports of existing offline chars into the online system. The devs have said that when 1.0 launches they will likely do a "season" rollover of online chars but no wipe.
I'm following a guide for my build and it provides an endgame loot filter. Is it a good idea to use it as I'm going through the monoliths or is it more for like really endgame endgame 😄
