cause making a single build and pushing it to a point where the gear is quite good and you can do all the endgame content probably doesn't take more than 50h or so

really if a T4 boss lives more than about 10 seconds it's hard to feel anything anymore

i wouldnt say its boring to push one build, if you like minmaxing and you wont get bored of the game for sure if you like making several builds cause just by pushing 1 build you get gear for any build on the same class

the basic idea of hide everything, show what you want is pretty simple to get at a baseline
then you can do more complex rules as you figure it out

That's one of the quest echoes, it won't affect the difficulty of the mono web monos. You'll need to do all 3 of the quest echoes to unlock the next timeline.

you can play timelines infinitely, just resetting them over and over
but that's generally best to do with the empowered versions of timelines (once you beat all the highest level normal timelines, you unlock the ability to do level 100 versions of any timeline)

sort of. but in terms of difficulty and rewards it's more like all normal timelines are white maps, base empowered timelines are like yellow maps, and increasing corruption of empowered timelines pushes them into red-map-equivalent difficulty
the level scaling in LE is very flat, so a level 90 area is not as big a jump in difficulty from a level 60 area as you might expect

You can get it from anywhere, but only last ruin has echos that reward unique or set relics
If you mean gamble as in the vendor in town, i dont think you can get uniques at all from him anymore (and even if you can, all his items are capped at lvl 40, so you couldnt get nib anyway). The gambling got moved into soulfire bastion

Stash space costs gold and there's also lightless arbor which is a dungeon that you spend large swaths of gold in for rewards at the end

There are various uniques with Minion related stats. and a few weapons with minion implicits like Soul Harvester axes

Monoliths are end game content thats infinitely scalable... normal monos have map levels that increase... empowered monos at all level 100 maps with corruption that has no limit. you do not need to any minimum level to try monoliths once you can access them.. it all depends on if your build (and skill as a player) can handle the difficulty.
I feel like this is a stupid question, since I have already killed her 3 times on other characters, but how do you kill Majasa's 2nd form? I feel like I am just getting stat-checked and no amount of playing correctly can win the fight.

2nd phase she dashes to me and combos me taking out 80% of my HP then I dash away and she dashes to me and takes out 80% of my HP
I can delay this a bit by dashing and kiting, but she just full stat-checks me with this dash->combo attack
Oh I always stood really close to her when I fought her, getting turned into stone constantly but can't remember a dash attack

You weren't being hit by her dash 'cause you were in melee range (which is how you avoid it).
yeah there’s some people who start monos at like level 30…not sure how much benefit that is but its a strat

The XP you get is capped to your lvl +5. So a lvl 30 in a 58 zone would get xp as if they were in a lvl 35 zone.

in 083 I did lich 1-100 solo in 19 hours. I'm sure it could be done faster if you wanted to use twink gear or w/e

I know reversal is good but there was alot of RSI inducing spamming compared to this "version"
i basically dropped lunge for sigils and reversal for echoes and went a bit towards rot
imo you either want echoes or smite, not both
reversal is like at least 2x more damage
cutting it is a massive loss for single target
The petrify actually tracks you at the start, you need to wait for a moment until you dodge (depends on your reaction speed) if you wanna use a movement skill for it. Knowing this has made the fight much safer for me.
The damage is outrageous compared to the other build, but that could be sigils I guess.. And extra surv from the armor
But yeah ST absolutely makes sense, what about gear? I mean i need to balance out resists and then i can spend itemization budget on other stuff, not alot of valueable suffixes though except health?*

I broke the game by doing something that was not intended. At the very beginning of the game, after killing the worm near the precipice, you have to take the first rift & go back to the past. I took it & without doing it on purpose I took it back the other way. I find myself in the time of the worm (it is no longer there) There is no longer the rift & I cannot teleport to the old time because I have not discovered a point. What to do?

Idk what you mean by future or past, but blessings are always active
idk if thats what they are called haha, i only saw that once i finished a timeline i could chose between a timeline of the future or the past so i just assumed that thats how they are categorized
ah, that's just a specific choice you get to make for the first timeline. it's not reflective of any categorisation of timelines
there are a few cases where you have to choose between two timelines to unlock, and that's just how that one plays out

When u start getting dungeons keys? I keep coming across and asks for key to enter
they get introduced to the drop pool as you go through the story, but only really start dropping in any quantity in the endgame. the dungeons aren't really meant to be entered pre-endgame on your first character, they're designed (among other things) to let subsequent characters skip through parts of the story.

Last time i died to the ice cone because I was too far away to dodge and was taking out pillars
i'm playing an impact judgement build and my health recovery is 89 regen and 7% melee leech
do you have 100% crit avoidance?
60% endurance?
if you're a melee build with 7% leech you should be fine on recovery and mostly just concerned with 1 shots
definitely want to round off the crit avoidance, or it's always possible you'll just take random crits

I just did a huge mistake. I wanted to remove empty stash-category but this was my Primalist-stash-category with many sub-category-stash-tabs. I removed it by mistake and not sure if I have some bug, because (green painted pool) there is a one stash-category with different names but it's the same stash-category. On the screen Rogue + Primalist. Okay this is some bug. This two categories are sharing now my Primalist and Rogue sub-categories. It seems that after I deleted Primalist category then sub-categories were moved to another category - Rogue. How can I move those sub-categories without buying all new Category-sub-stash ?

spirit thorns isn't a complicated skill
4 projectiles that can all hit same target, 20 base damage, 60% added effectiveness. Grab a wand/staff/sceptre with some cast speed and inc spell damage and just shoot stuff.
Only thing to be concerned about is rage sustain in sprig form
so like, first 6 points go to garden of rage then just go right down the spirit thorns side of tree. Grab pen and pierce, maybe go vale spirits or the totem cast thing idk. Up to you. For leveling all of this doesn't matter much.

For the Skill Flurry, if I turn it into a channeled skill, how does that work with the nodes that grant health and mana when you hit with the skill. Will it active only once per channel, or for every hit? And what about skills that normally do different effects for each strike of the skill?

Flame Wraiths have the fire tag, yes. Not sure if the skill gets that tag (it should), since the tags would be specific to which Wraith it summons.
Most people don't do challenges, Masochist is significantly harder than normal/SC. HC is the same as SC apart from what happens when you die (obviously).

Im jumping a bit back and forth on characters while leveling and ive come to the conclusion that umbral blade, static orb and totems are my favorites. Which one is beginner friendly and maybe just a little bit tanky
Umbral blades
Bladedancer is incredibly tanky if you know how to build, umbral blades has a ton of build options and is powerful with all of them.

Static orb is a good clear skill, but imo sorcerer is not beginner friendly on defensive side
Technically sorc can become crazy tanky but it needs a lot of specific stuff setup
Like lightning blast single target + static orb clear is an incredibly powerful build at the ultra high end
Question on Passive benefit. Get x increase if you have at least 200 mana. Is it just that you need 200 mana, or will the benefit come and go as you use mana below 200 level?

Penetration applies after the cap. Shred applies before the cap. Meaning, if you have 100% Void res, 20% shred takes you to 80%. 20% penetration means you effectively have 55%. Note that monsters have an innate penetration - 1% per level up to 75.

I imagine most of the damage comes from teh Frostbite, and not the direct hit from Spirit Thorns.
Depends on the build & how many stacks of Frostbite you're able to apply.
Frostbite isn't really one of the ailments I think of when people talk about DoT builds though. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be "viable"....

The generic Gambler at end of time is capped at level 40. The soul gambler in Seoul Fire bastion doesn't have a level cap, and can also drop uniques and sets.

I want to run Multistrike as my primary attack, Warpath for in fight mobility, Lunge for pack to pack and initiating, and Holy Aura for general buffs and damage. I don't know 100% how to gear it out other then the Sword.

trying to fit warpath and Multistrike both into your build is going to limit you. Buff skills like Sigils + Volatile Reversal are crazy good.
Well, I'm trying to work a mobility skill into the build for repositioning mid fight. Since I'm relying on Smite as a major damage source and Warpath can proc a Smite every second I assumed it was the best avenue to damage. I can see dropping Lunge for the Reversal so I was going that route. But it's still trying to work in the Void damage into a heavy lightning damage design. I'm building around the sword and leaning into that which informs the skills.
You have no reason to work in void damage, reversal doesn't DO damage
Also, stop bothering with the warpath trigger, you can just scale cast speed on Smite to do far better
endgame as well
If I'm following the skill path for Volatile Reversal correct, I path through Incipient Void Rift (a static Void AoE at point of departure), Disintegrate (Void Rift damage), and then Time Rifts. I can ignore the Void damage from the Rift, but I also trigger one on arrival when I path through Terminal Void Rift (a static Void AoE at point of return), into Dark Expanse, and finishing at Harbinger of Dust. Again, I can ignore all the void damage from these and still focus on the primary damage scaling. But cast speed doesn't help Smite mid movement and I'm still planning on Multistrike for primary attack. What am I modding for? Do I scale the Lightning damage for Electrocution or do I mod for elemental damage? Ignore those and scale DoT damage? And why drop Warpath when I could just run Multi, Smite, War, Reversal, and Holy? I'm not seeing how dropping War gets me anything but another open skill spot and then what skill do I put in there. I'm not sure how Sigil's are fitting into the build either. Looking over the tree I get 30% damage and some defense/healing. I can't see 30% being a major contributor unless I'm missing something. And even so, every action not directed at an attack of any kind is a waste without sufficient upside. Reversal brings it with the extra DoT multi and hit Multi but a Sigil cast mid fight seems a waste.
Cause war is crap as movement skill
It's slower than simply walking as you get 20% less move speed
Warpath is a waste, it's a mana drain with a mediocre proc that can't even reliably keep up your DPS. Sigils are a high cost but the defensive and offensive boosts it will give you are significantly better than the extremely sub-par Warpath shenanigans. Warpath is also not mobility, it's slow and will likely put you closer to death than just walking away.

yeah they're alright, except the "t5 class-specific bases for shattering" line is broken and you need to fix it. you'll probably want to make small modifications yourself though, adding stuff you really need (or want to find for other builds), removing all the mediocre items they highlight later on, etc
How would I go about fixing that specific rule? I will definitely look into making a custom filter as I go on. I'm playing a totally new class so I don't have the experience to set up a proper filter.
from memory it's just going into the affix list and deselecting the random things it has selected that aren't class-specific affixes

@summer lagoon the axe needs at least 50 and the belt 120 corruption. The axe is rather rare I've heard
I got both the axe from orobyss and the bow from cold guy right when I hit 90. I was farming at around 140 corruption, going a bit up and down depending on how far orobyss was.

Omni would probably be a slight dps upgrade and a decent QoL upgrade, but it's very rare. Def a chase item. Depends on how you like to play. If you're getting burnt out grinding it, just do other stuff and do a few runs here or there
You should already have maxed crit chance as lightning sorc tbh. Prism wraps are goated for that build

there's a share button on the lefthand side (looks like 3 dots connected) that will generate a link to the current planner setup
changing mastery does dump all of the gear/passives/etc

you can do it, but it kind of requires snapshotting crows to feel good
since otherwise your crows will die constantly unless you use a ton of affixes to give them survivability
and even then, I'd question it in comparison to an hp-based build that doesn't need all of the ward related investment or crows

idk, if you're feeling super squishy or bad damage is almost certainly something w/ skills and passives or like super foundational stuff on gear
the bar to do empowered is super low and pretty easy to clear even in really bad gear
what's your defenses tab looks like
biggest thing that sticks out to me is all of your resists being capped before empowered
means you've probably got way too much resist on gear

@north mist @brittle atlas The set is not a trap and Apostacy is required because the GB converted from it is not converted to block chance twice, so you can get 100% block chance and GB chance at the same time, which means at least two 35% damage reductions instead of one
the two set shields are used in very specific builds
you could probably look them up on lastepochtools
same with the fire shield
if the other stuff doesn't have LP on it than they're most likely best saved for levelling gear.

This set is at the root of the damage bonus of the offhand weapon at the cost of the original RNG defense dodge into a stable damage reduction block, which is a relatively large boost to the one-shot EHP. But if you think dodge can also be as good as blocking to protect you from boss fights, then the set will indeed look like a trap, at least not to me
How are the spirit wolves on swipe on a minion build?
I don't feel like defense matters on like 99% of boss fights in LE
you can avoid almost all remotely threatening damage
yep, bastion is OP but also too rare
and you don't need that much defense to tank the non-threatening damage
I feel like on boss fights I'd almost always sacrifice defense for more damage, with only a few exceptions

the set shield is almost a secondary substitution to bastion
The Corsair Set doesnt exist. The Corsair helmet is sweet, but the shield is awful
my original setup for ailment flurry a few patches back was pretty well built around that idea- putting on a shield for echoes

Ultimately all you need is to complete the three level 90 monolith timelines to unlock empowered lvl 100 versions. How you get to the level 90s is up to you - and no you dont need to complete all possible paths to level 90.

Watch out for using the wiki. Not all parts are updated. The community game guide on the forum or the in-game guide are usually better.

Hello good people what you all think about merging two exalted items in to one with some cost? Like random affix losing a tier and/or final product having a 0 cp.
Besides being the USP of current legendary crafting, what benefit would this allow? Beyond the obvious of providing a workaround for the drop rates of exalted items with more than 2 exalted tiers. Do we really need this?

Its likely (thanks to LizardIRL) that the devs are gonna rebalance skill & gear to make gear more meaningful overall wrt to skill performance so I am not sure that adding another way to make better gear will be neccessary at this stage.
I definitely wouldnt want there to be an easier way to "make" exalted items with multiple T6/7 affixes. Those are pretty much the chase items in the game right now. Its easier to find Uniques with LP than Exalted items with the correct affixes. Considering the boost in the T6/7 affix ranges over T5, this could potentially make for supremely OP items that could still be used to make legendaries. Even with penalties for the gamble in place.

The right-hand side monoliths are generally preferred since they give player power (rather than "economic" bonuses such as drop rate increases), that would give 4 timelines to do rather than 5 if you go the left hand route.

At that point, you might as well carry on up the left-hand path if you just want to get to Age of Winter the fastest. Unless you've already unlocked Black Sun (in which case you'd be doing the same number of timelines)
Stolen Lance only leads on to Blood, Frost & Death, though BFD unlocks Fall of the Empire & I think Reign of Dragons?
And Reign of Dragons is the one you need to do to unlock Age of Winter.

When you get to the first quest echo of BFD, make sure you choose the Wengari clan that unlocks the higher level mono (can't remember which clan it is, just scroll through the conversation options & select the one that gives you the lvl 85 mono)

Probably the flat unless youve got tons of flat from elsewhere, but unless you have lots of different procs/effects that affect your crit chance or multi you could probably just compare the tooltip numbers

Well ye, just assuming no other stats youre comparing 70 flat * 328% multi ~=230 and 113 flat * 251%multi ~= 282
And since you probably have more crit multi elsewhere compared to flat it should just increase the difference
hey guys, i just did my first lootfilter and the build im going for runs a fair amount of uniques so i almost hide everything, is this normal that i dont really see items now? am i just used to the loot garbage in poe? should i just go for 1 affix early or is it okay to filter for 2-3?
im also solo challenge so i hide alt items too
man im getting shredded in empowered monoliths in random whims
and i seriously can't understand why i haven't got a damn uniqe drop from mobs in the past 45 min, shouldn't empowered monoliths have some sort of increased chance?
you can make the filter show all uniques/exalted/set items. all i can say

yes also because you can craft around the 1 good affix
i always forget that i can just craft items
Make sure to not hide exalteds though, because even if you use uniques you want exalteds (and thus also the shards to craft the exalted items)
I'm currently trying to build a bladedancer, currently have a poison flurry build. I'll switch to another build later, I was using this for levelling, but I've noticed that the main story bosses are quite rough
I've died like 6 times to one boss already, and I just tried a monolith and I can do monoliths
I was wondering if I should farm monoliths a little for gear then continue story?
Because there's no way I can kill this boss, super rough for a squishy melee

I mean most of the gear from monoliths are level 55+ range to equip but I did get some gear for my level too
Monoliths are going good, I already got a bunch of gear upgrades and I feel I'll just level a bunch then continue main quest

Only hp. There is a node in FW that makes it affect ward

The damage to mana is already strong, as its effectively a 80% dr for X% of the damage you take
And you can stack it with endurance, giving even more damage reduction

I've been trying to investigate a forge strike build that's self damage but it's so hard to get around forge strike's massive mana cost
even with t6 regen on every possible slot you can't sustain it
you could try a Multistrike build to get around the mana cost with the mana sustain it brings
would void or paladin be better?
but the range for the true melee on that skill is kinda meh
Forgemaster isnt amazing atm, and theres a few void/pally builds that are just broken.... so to answer yes, but I wouldnt base what you try on what performs best, especially if your just starting to play. Play something that sounds interesting before you ruin your perspective with what you could be doing xD
like I did with bowmage... wtf this thing is unfair... and boring

if i wanted to use a rune of ascendance on an item, what are the specifics i need? for example, i want reign of winter bow. It's a longbow and req lvl 70. So I'm assuming I need a longbow, but does the ilvl of it matter? does the longbow have to drop in the Age of Winter timeline for it to become a reign of winter?
Base doesn't matter it just has to be a bow.
level doesn't matter for runes of ascendance, but you can't get boss-specific drops from it
it can only make uniques that drop randomly
Ascendance does not care about base type or level of anything. It rolls it randomly for a non-boss drop unique as if it were dropping in a level 100 area

with the tiering i have in my rule its not strict enough honestly
there was a guy in here that ran that mono so many times and couldn't get the bow, think he was 100 or almost by the time he got it
i also ran the blood and frost mono 20 times in a row to attempt to get boots, never got them on that character
took me over 30 to get those boots. but they're marked as rare if memory serves so....100 for Reign of Winter is some terrrrible RNG though.
Are blessings like increased glove drop rate affecting boss drops? So if a boss has gloves in their pool are they more likely to drop?

Yes. you will eventually start finding Orobyss Echo Nodes that allow you to fight a boss that increases (or decreases) Corruption & resets the monolith "web".

What's corruption?
Corruption is an infinitely scaling difficulty modifier that you can get in Monoliths (not worth worrying about until Empowered Monoliths tho) . Corruption increases item rarity, experience gained, monster health, monster damage, and how much Timeline Stability each Echo gives.

Without testing to be 100%, I am pretty sure its only the hit damage.

Subjugation increases the general damage of Infernal per second it's active, but does that affect the explosion of combustion? Because the damage increase per second isn't damage-per-second type specific it should provide the damage bonus to combustion right?
I recorded the damage numbers on the dummy and it seems like it does indeed work for bleed

Each damaging ailment, such as Bleed or Ignite, has a fixed base damage, but is affected by damage modifiers from the skill tree and attribute scaling of the skill that applies it.
Could be that the examples that don't work on puncture are bugged. For the charge up it makes kinda sense as the bottom line says bow damage
For cadence of death it doesn't make sense tho
