Certain classes will drop specific weapon types more rarely afaik.
and you can get the more dagger blessing to improve dagger drops generally..... finding specific base items can sometimes be a bit of a hit and miss affair....

So what is important, that you only become bleed immune when low health, but Exsanguinous does not remove exisitng bleeding stacks

If you use any kind of Low Health / Ward unique(there are two more other than Exsanguinous), you should use Hollow Lich passive and try to avoid ANY health on hit etc

In fact max hp and ward retention will make up nearly 100% of your total ward. In some setups strand of souls is actually worse than a belt with t5 hybrid health t5 inc health.

hi, i got a build from youtube and its a hammer throw paladin using the node to cast hammer throw for free when under 0 mana, the build always stays with 0 mana cause sigils of hope casting and massive mana costs on hammer throw.
he is using this node on smite which makes sense for me to get the global flat fire and attack speed from smite:
but then he also invests heavily into smite healing, even though smite cant heal:
am i missing something? or are those just wasted points?
theres 8 non pathing points spent into smite healing
I don't know the build, but if you're purely using Smite for teleport/attack speed, the points you put elsewhere don't really matter

I really love this build. It is one of the best builds I've ever made by far, and I hope there are some changes where I get to revisit it soon. Hammer Throw was doing insane amounts of damage, especially for a Paladin.

You don't really care about anything in Smite tree except the 20% attack speed buff and teleport
and in sigil tree he maxes the flat fire node
i only know the smite hammerdin that uses smite idols for extra stonks
and devotion when you can get it
It's flat melee fire, so you wouldn't benefit from it
also confused about volatile reversal +36% movespeed
when is that useful?
first time playing paladin and my impression is that its only good for the node that gives attack speed and the other one that makes enemies take +30% dmg
since this build makes it unable to change your hp or mana
It's nice for some extra movespeed while mapping, and also there aren't really any other nodes you'd want anyway
how do you use it while mapping? i personally havent been using it at all outside mono bosses cause it warps you back
does the smite idol cast cost mana?
smite cant heal if it costs mana in my case, so if its free it might heal i think
Only really when you can cast it without teleporting yourself way back, you could move those points if you don't find it useful
I like it sometimes because you can teleport out of a bad situation and have higher movespeed to reposition or whatever

you can do that by making a new rule and setting it to hide with no conditions

it will hide every item, then you add show rules on top to show what you want to see

You can get mana regen on gear, but probably not enough for a 6 cost Lightning Blast + 20~ cost Static Orb

Drop the Chain Lightning node in LB, and grab Atomic Manipulation in Static Orb to start with
With that it'd be a lot more reasonable, you can also spec Flame Ward to boost your mana regen if necessary

You can, but I'd imagine you would just need to use Focus to compensate for the increased mana costs. IMO 4/4 in Arcing Power is more than enough to make LB clear well

Yeah, don't take the character sheet too seriously. If you have 100% Lightning crit multi (for example), it won't show on your sheet as crit multi

the crit's easy, there is just flat crit chance, increased crit chance that multiplies your flat crit chance, and crit multi that affects the damage
Is anyone aware of a duplicate stash tab bug? I have two stash tabs that are identical and click on either one takes me to the same tab. I don't know how to get rid of one of them and it's bugging my OCD xD

I know minions have a wide range of attacks, but will there be a problem with soul balls pickup? I remember having to get very close to pick them up 
you have to get close, but wraiths will kill everything in a huge radius even over walls
you basically just get to walk around and pick up soul juice safely
and then it shreds the boss in a couple seconds when you get to him
if you just want to farm the boss, it can get to him and kill him in <3 minutes per run

you could take a look at the previous patches like 0.8 or 0.7 to get a feeling for the amount of changes
THey are offline characters because they are stored locally on your machine - i.e. offline... they are not online in any way - at least in no way that EHG can control them like they would online characters stored on their own servers/cloud. Authentication has nothing to do with the saves - its to prove you have a license to the use the game, nothing more... exactly like using Photoshop CC - you need to login to Adobe to prove you have a license for the app but it all runs locally
I just wish I didn't always have to be online to play
Mike has hinted that they may figure out something for the authentication bit so that you dont have to login each and every time but thats unlikely to be a priority right now. In fact, he mentions this yesterday...

Some people don't have a good internet connect, the last place I went on holiday was a good example of this (a peak download speed of 1 meg which was flaky at best & it crapped out for the second week).
hello i downloaded this game yesterday and i drop a lot of these shards and scrolls but i dont know where to store them other than stash 
efficiency? it's one thing to have one machine parsing/writing one text file at a time, but each physical server is going to be handling much more than a single save file at a time. I would be pretty shocked if they didn't (or aren't planning to) make changes to the format to make things speedier.

Been confirmed many times by the devs... You will keep all offline saves as they are now and can continue to play them as you wish... Online (playing on your own or with multiplayer) will require you to start again from new and your saves will be on EHG servers in the cloud.

Hey, is it better to try to play the game blindly or shouldi follow like a build guide to get the full experience?
You can definitely make it pretty far playing blind, and the it's pretty easy to respec if you need to later on
So I'd say it's more preference than anything else, if you enjoy going in blind and seeing what you can do, you should have no issues doing that and figuring it out along the way
There's also an in-game guide you can pull up with G
that has a ton of info about various mechanics and whatnot
if youre familiar with ARPGs at all you dont need any guides

Target Dummy is the best way to currently check "real" dps... the tooltip dps can be way out in certain situations...
Tooltip dps is "usually" correct but yeah target dummy is the best way if you want to be 100% sure

Careful with this assumption... if ailments or situational damage are involved the tooltip DPS is sometimes WAY out of whack... The devs have confirmed this many times and have a new system in the works to help fix the issue...
Yeah I know that sometimes certain things (like shock) get overvalued but it's a good way to get a general idea
Yep some skills don't have a tooltip dps because summoning a wolf itself doesn't deal any damage for example
Basically anything that doesn't deal damage directly won't have a tooltip dps
also does it matter if my damage is split between like elemental damage and physical, etc
You can also check your dps on LE planner
especially earlier on
That depends on what build you're going for. But in case of primalist he has skills mainly related to physical damage
There's some elemental skills too but they're not as common
Take a look on your passive tree and you should get a general idea of what you'll want
passive tree as in the skills or the basic class/masteries?

Though you can also look at the skills if you want to. It could help too
P is set to my portal to town for some reason
early on, not really. As you get later into the game, various things will generally benefit more from being a single damage type
due to things like resistance shredding
And due to scaling with the same affixes, passives and specs.
It's much easier to find a decent item when you can utilize e.g. fire/elemental/spell affixes for your build, as opposed to e.g. only elemental if you combine a fire spell and mana strike.
Is there a limit to the amount of Armor Shred stacks on an enemy? Can Enemy armor go into the negatives?
no, yes
enemies generally have 0 base armor
so if you're shredding armor you're always pushing them negative

Not really but the comparing always prioritizes the leftmost slot so you can swap your ring/offhand to the left/main slot and compare that way

Well it specifies "while spinning" so i'd say it's safe to assume it's specific to warpath
It is indeed global.
the reason it not working for CG is when you use judgement it will snapshot your character status
so whatever other bonuses you gain after that will not affect it

was considering the ball lightning route for static orb but i think id rather it stay as a shotgunning projectile

If you still insist on using SO as a single target skill, you can consider Foot of the Mountain to solve the mana cost problem

The bowmage looks really cool and I understand that the bow should be target farmable but I lack context for how hard it is to get where you could get the bow. Do not play much VK, so only give some basic advice
- get 100% critical avoid chance
- 1800hp is too low, should find as many health suffixes as possible in all equipment suffixes
- get 60% endurance
- can temporarily give up the poison resistance completely
- consider unique armor Titan Heart, Wings of Argentus
- consider switching to 1H weapons+ shield when clearing the map

What scales its damage? Generic damage most likely. Poison damage (I'm a bit confused if inc poison damage counts for damage type or for the ailment)? Damage over time?

There's no way to increase an ailment's base damage, you can only use % increased modifiers. % poison damage & % DoT damage will scale Plague. All% increased modifiers are additive with each other. Plague is an ailment that's capped to 1 stack
% poison effect & duration should affect it as well
If % poison damage affect plague then % poison effect kinda has to.
it will benefit from the innate shred on poison though if you have stacks of poison on the enemy
since it is a poison, it's just an ailment that's limited to 1 stack

You could try it with Salt the Wound (which I don't have) as that converts Crit multi to poison effectiveness, probably on an Acolyte with Spirit Plague.
It should also function similarly to Rive's Lacerate (a phys DoT but not a bleed) from the third hit & the Pally's Bleed effectiveness passive Redemption.

No, you need to push further out to find a Shade that will increase corruption
The higher your corruption, the further from the centre you'll need to do shades to continue to increase corruption

guys i`m looking for some help. the empowered monoliths are a bit hard for me. but i did clear the 90 level zone monoliths. My minions started to die more often, the same is going for me. I have max to all resists and about 1.4HP with 150 ward(if the ward helps).
How much HP would you need to feel comfortable in empowered monoliths? Or how to implement other defensive mechanics. Anything will be helpful

You get keys from random drops and almost always from monolith timeline bosses. The dungeons are zones marked on the map with like a red shape of sorts?

Temporal Sanctum drops a ton of exalted items and lets you forge legendaries
Soulfire Bastion has the soul gambler which is good for targeting certain exalts
Twilight Arbor is the main gold sink in the game at the moment, letting you dump your gold into more rewards

Sometimes uniques have their own unique abilities, sometimes it is a class skill. Pretty sure that is a sentinel attack.

dont think so... but you may find something that could be interesting indirectly depending on how you setup Rive - e.g. attack speed sword/gloves, or bleeds with axes.... the sunforged set has something for Strike but its not spectacular...

So I have a question about werebear maelstrom, the warcry has 50% reduced cooldown, so 5s and the maelstroms have 9.8s duration, so only from warcry (or roar) I can never get 12 stacks right? I would need like some cooldown anywhere to fix that but the guides I've seen doesn't mention anything about cooldown investment
You'll also get some from swipe/maul in that same build.
Yes I get that but with only 1% additional cooldown reduction I would get another 4 stacks or do I miss something?
CDR doesn't work like that, it's new cooldown = base cooldown / (1 + sum of CDR%)
So 50% CDR -> 10 / 1.5 = 6.7s
To get it to below 5s you'd need over 100% CDR
And maul can give a lot of stacks by itself - since it rolls that 34% chance for each enemy hit.

I love the XP echo nodes because when you get closer to lvl 100, they scale into the millions of XP, making respec'ing skills almost instant...

I think you're right - I'm using Swipe and Berserker, so I hit like 8 times per second on bosses - ending up at 17+ stacks of Maelstrom without watching more than once.
So I wasn't really tracking how many I'd get while clearing, as long as I kept it >6
but anyways so getting 1 cdr roll on helmet is not worth it to get 4 additional stacks because ursine storm gives so many more you say?

Good question - I'm using it for Frenzy and Haste with 6+ stacks, so just keep it up at that threshold and am pleasantly surprised when it does damage.

sentinel has a lot of bleed chance/bleed effectiveness through passives and prefixes which are what you really want. other than that there are many uniques that increased bleed damage
you scale bleed with bleed chance, bleed effectiveness, atk speed, phys damage, damage over time

There is a bug that has been fixed, its ailment chance penalty does not take effect, at that time once every 5 seconds AE can easily pop out more than 10 million damage

How long do mods stay on the monolith?
I made a mistake and gave the enemy's crit avoidance. It's not like I am a crit build or anything...

I may have misunderstood a recent conversation. I thought that the mods stay on the monolith for a limited amount of time before the are replaced by other mods.
Look in the lower left of the monolith map. You can see how many rounds are left on a mod.
When u pick an echo, the mod have a duration and they stack
Early in the timeline I think they last 2 3 echos, and the further away from the center the longer they last

Yeah, it lists on each mod the number of rounds - it's on the mod icon. If there's not a number, then it's just that one echo.
U can use one of the quest to use a round on the mods u are trying to get rid off

You have a line at the top to show all items
Remove it
The upper most line should be Show all Exalted Set and Unique
Each mod (except the Corruption modifier) has it's own duration (like stacks of ailments have their own duration) & fall off when that duration (number of monos) runs out
Corollary to @soft prairie 's point, you should probably never have a line that shows all items anywhere in a filter. If you do need one, there's probably something real weird happening in your filter.

yeah went into the game to test it, it does change the tooltip
it went from 5% to 9%, that's a 81% increase
there are two stats, one gives a base crit chance, the other has "increased" keyword on it
first one comes in small numbers, like +5%, +7%, it adds that amount to your crit chance
second one comes in higher numbers like 40% and 110%, it multiplies it
typical add or increase

so you have a base 5% crit chance without items
equipping the top one alone would make it 9%
equipping the bottom one alone would make it 7%
equipping both would make it 12.6%
so they're both useful

Hey, stupido question, I conquered a lvl 100 timeline. I've killed Oroborys~ or w/e, and also did increasing corruption thingy on a map (fighting the random skill boss) and now I can see in the left corner that it shows as 0 Oroborys~ kills, why? Is this method the quickest one to grind corruption?

The Gaze of Orobyss isn't a counter for Orobyss kills - it's a counter for the regular boss kills, and resets when you kill Orobyss to give you extra corruption (or resets if you die fighting the shade)
It tracks the quest completions from monolith to monolith - if you've unlocked all the walking paths between them, you need to repeat the quests in Empowered to unlock all of them - but not something I'd worry about.
Ooooh, dude, that's such a good call. I haven't done the quest 1 & 2 echoes of empowereds since back when I realized they were skippable. That must be it. I'll prob knock em out just to make the numbers look nice =)

How important are defensive layers in general in last epoch? Do high end builds just try to glass canon and avoid aoe attacks or domost builds try to be at least a bit tanky?
If some tankiness is the way to go, I'm assuming it's res cap first, then try to get some armor/health afterward?
Does Abom or Squirrels get more single target dps?
With good gear squirrels have higher dps

No the stuff you drop is random and the only thing that affect it is increased rarity from various modifiers/corruption
Yes, you can, but unlike RF the self-damage scales with your damage stats.
It's possible to balance out the degen (I've done it) but it's very hard.

They are probably legacy items from a previous patch... vitality on gloves was changed in one of the previous patches

yip... map persistance is a known issue... the devs have apparently fixed the issues as part of the MP system (couldnt have maps resetting in MP) so I expect this problem to go away / less of an issue when 0.9 drops.

Bastion of Honour? It can drop from any lvl 50+ zone, so it can drop in the campaign, it's just very rare.

No, that's just the monolith that has unique/set shields as a specific reward node. Any non-boss/quest drop item can drop from any zone with an area level above the item's level.
For a cold dot druid, why go for cdr on maul? Was confused at first that not every maul triggers entangling roots but it makes sense as it gets 4s cooldown and maul has also 4s cooldown by default. Idk why I would need 20% cdr from fury of the maul

Multishot is in a weird place - DA is significantly better for AoE clear, because it naturally hits all enemies near where you aimed. That being said, Flurry is the best single-target zero-mana DPS skill Rogue has.
Personally, I give up some of that damage for Puncture, because I like the skill better.
Because Maul is also how you're stacking Maelstrom - you'll need to time your roots CD in your head while you adjust, but for single-target you need as much CDR for maul as possible.
So entangling roots don't stack I guess? Just need to keep it up and more maul is just more maelstrom procs?
Oh, you reminded me, yep, root is not stackable. Theoretically the immobilized from root can only last up to 2.4 seconds iirc
but I am curious, Maul is not the same as Swipe each "use and hit" has 32% chance of triggering Maelstrom?

Each use has that chance, yes. But without a tree in Swipe, it's basically just there to fill time while Maul cools down.

Because Swipe isn't a specialized skill - it's effectively a Basic Attack that has limited range and better AoE

if your not casting it on every maul its because its currently bugged, because it costs double rage cost currently
so if you don't have rage sustain it will bork some casts

Is the base speed of 1.467 casts per second on maelstrom only for casting it or does it deal its dmg in that interval too? Tooltip suggests it's dmg scales with cast speed

That's just the base cast speed, the damage is done many times a second & then packaged into discrete packets that are displayed less frequently to reduce the amount of clutter on the screen.
No, its not normal, but as others have said its related to your hardware BUT also the settings you are trying to use on that hardware.... If you are trying to play on Ultra quality at 4k on an old gpu then 2fps is probably expected...🤪

It's a pretty old GPU GTX 770 🤢 but running on minimum specs (even resolutions where you cannot read the text anymore) and it still goes down to like 0FPS for big boss attacks. It's fine otherwise.
Even with a 3060 i loss fps when spinning through mobs then they are all over the screen
It's funny cuz large numbers of monsters don't trigger the slowdown. It's the AoE warnings on the ground.
Your GPU is only about 30% faster than the minimum needed for LE so its obviously gonna struggle and there is nothing much you will be able to do about that really - very low settings and lowered resolution are about all you have to work with... Also if your CPU is roughly from the same era then you may also be having CPU related issues - big boss fights that do screenwide AoE or multiple skill procs can cause severe FPS dips too - all because of the calcs involved - its less about the number of monsters on the screen, and more about how many skills , effects, ailments, Aoes etc are being proc'd... The main issue for you is that your baseline performance is probably pretty low so the same dips that happen to most of us are catastrophic for you...
For example the biggest lag spike so far was caused by the fire dragon boss super early in the storyline that beams the ground into a whirlwind of fire (that serves as a warning to the coming explosion) the game then just kinda freezes until it explodes.

but screenwide and if I recall all the effects going on in the map too... Honestly, older hardware is gonna struggle BUT, the devs have promised performance updates in 0.9 (the coming patch) so we may all be lucky and the fps spike amplitutes may be less and that should help everyone irrespective of hardware...
That would be nice. I assumed it would get a bit better before full launch. Was just curious if others had experienced similar. I'm aware my hardware is old, but it did surprise me that it couldn't handle some of the Last Epoch stuff, when it can handle 99% of Path of Exile's screen cluttering nonsense.

No unqiues from the town gambler... that was removed
Restock, I think you have to Leave game - same as restocking the normal Shop....
Note that the in-town gambler also only has a lvel 40 item cap.
I have recently returned to this game and back then i didnt even play that much so i would like a recommendation on what class i should pick. I play alot of Grim dawn and im a huge fan of dropping something on the ground and it just kills while i can run around instead of stationary playstyle. I mean like totems or something whirling around or just something like that
try a primalist build then for totems... ... Or you could try sentinel warpath for the whirling around...

I believe spriggan thorn totem druid is quite a good build if you're specifically looking for a totem primalist? not sure how beginner-friendly it is though, don't have any experience with it
swarmblade also has a very "cast once, then run around" playstyle. it also needs zero damage on gear, since it gets several thousand % increased on top of 1350 base damage just from the tree. also beeeg aoe
