so this sounds weird but... if you have a Reign of Winter, try that, lol--at least temporarily, until you get better gear. Despite running ignite, I swapped to RoW (I had an egg one get 50% ignite chance) and cold HS, and it clears much better at the cost of only a small amount of DoT damage (lost about 60 damage on ignite). I still hit 999+ stacks fairly consistently against anything that lives long enough, though
Pretty sure anything that gives global ailment (poison, in your case) will let the icicles poison, and the extra projectiles helps shotgun packs of mobs

In theory straight poison w/ acidfletch could be better, GF just has the attack speed to allow you to stack so rapidly
In my scuffed testing on dummy, GF ends up hitting 999 stacks slightly faster than RoW

I'm currently not running GF because I have 3lp but haven't gotten exalts to slam, and I'm considering swapping to frostbite so I can keep DoTs but get better health so I don't get 1shot in tombs by those stupid possessed dudes
double dot and frostbite setups both require uniques I don't have so kinda seeing what drops first, bow isn't the problem lol. Salt the wound vs the frostbite gloves mostly

Don't know the exact math but both are important. I'd aim for at least 100 dex (especially if you plan to use red rings). You get plenty of %cold from ucenuis sphere and throne of ambition. Can get some extra on rings & belt but don't need exalted

Is Ravager's Dart viable? It makes you not benefit from 90% of the Marksman tree (since I don't see a reason why you'd spec into a different bow attack if you're turning one of yours into throwing), loses Dark Quiver buffs, and overall doesn't seem like a great idea, but I know Jelkhor's was popular prior to this season (except you don't have to spend 30 points on a mostly dead passive tree)

I'm using a variation of this build as my starter because I picked up the Vial of Volatile Ice and finally found something that feels like the old Glacial Cascade mines I played in PoE1. Super fun.
However, I feel like Shuriken is useless. I'm not sure what I should do with this spec slot (more defense, etc). Any recommendations/opinions?
