what were you doing with it?
Uniques gloves prophecies
avalanche proccing storm bolts and spellquakes
ah yeah, it's a cool idea. I'm pretty sure storm stack generation is behind GS melee setups but that's shaman melee
Any suggestions on other rings/helm/neck? Boots I probably just need to get reduced Crit boots+MS
My current neck is a placeholder since I didn't have anything better
For belt maybe a brew master?
wasn't sure if I should fold the aftershocks into the initial slam or if I should leave them and use spellEQ as clear then channel avalanche on tanky stuff and bosses
initial slam looked way better to me
Probably should have said build advice or gear advice actually lol, I only know for sure what my weapon/gloves need for upgrades
No idea what I should be pursuing elsewhere really
@near leaf What do you think about lightning blast weapon, that champion belt, lightning aftershocks and get that flat from 6-7(dsl) crows?
In you the meme live
can anyone explain what happens if you take thunder stinger and cold blooded? is your poison chance still converted to lighting? or cold?
Nah realistically you can get 300% multi... with scorpion but if you swap out chest for primordial glass then self 500% becomes 800% crit multi so again its not clear cut what is better until min maxing at end game. Its probably the only skill which is balanced on using companion or not, tsunami gives everything equally to both setups
What skill
Ill look into it. Im pretty low on resistances what should i do/where to put those
makes sense, didn't really think about overcrit
Thunder Stinger
Your Scorpion's activated ability is now Shock Nova, a spell that deals lightning damage and applies 3 stacks of Shock on hit.
The base physical damage of your scorpion's melee attacks is converted to lightning. Consequently this damage scales with increases to lightning damage, but not increases to physical damage. These melee attacks now have a Lightning tag instead of a Physical tag.
All sources of poison chance are converted to shock chance for your scorpion, and effects related to poison in this tree instead depend on shock.
This node has no effect if Cold-Blooded is allocated.
Shock Nova deals lightning damage in an area around the scorpion, with 400% effectiveness of added damage.
Lightning nova, but scorp is cold tagged
oh gotcha thanks
Also cold blooded doesn't convert psn chance
wind tempest having nearly the same DPS as tornado is hilarious
Either way both are good options you can approach it several different ways and not feel bad
I'm guessing LB chains only works on single target when it's picked in the skilltree
Its not as bad of a discrepancy with self eq vs bear eq
The description is misleading lol
getting to 140% crit chance for spyglass on a skill without any base crit on the tree sounds rough
sure you can get lynx but
Well theres so many sources of base crit on gear makes it super easy lol...
Lots of opportunity cost in that no?
No all upside :d
I like to leech too cant do that with scorp setup
But again scorp can be built more tanky with less sustain thanks to double charge fury leap...
Holy moly how is soul of the mountain not able to drop until level 90 mobs
Decent little idol I found. Not for my build but still cool
very nice
@near leaf does this build also convert bleed chance or bleed dmg into frostbite in additon to poison
Double charge?
No just psn
Do crows and spriggan look different if you use Rahyeh's Embrace?
Yes
nice. that's the sort of item I love
How much attunement should I shoot for, and what should I do about my rings...I can't figure out what to put there. Using the vine spriggan one as a place hodler and random otehr one
I have 91 atm
Son of yornir.
Around 100-150 is usually where you end up in builds like this
Ideally a red ring as second ring would be nice
What about the other ring? I just put LP with attunement or is there specific item that gives a lot of attunmenet im not aware of
Vines ring with t7 Att +T5 minion dmg or hp or res or smth else
Red Ring with t7 Att
Also you missed a pt there
Here it could be a bit better optimised
I assume they nerfed spawn rate of rampant coast as imprint?
Ill look for it, im CoF so idk how long itd take to find
Ill try to make those changes!
I gotta work on blessings/idols
How is vinebear compared to shatter werebear?
I'm still not finding anything
Hmmmm,
it was bugged level of nonsensically super common anyway
idk if my build is vinebear but im having a lot of fun
What are you playing?
Oh woah
Those patch notes about the boots have me annoyed because it actually sounded like a fun bug
Which boots?
Roots of Vithrasil apparently applied to everything that uses the Spirit Thorns tree, which would include ranged vines
i would 100% play vine summoner
Damn
I put in a suggestion saying they should make it a feature lol
What he said, its avinebear ig but i use the frostbite minions dmg
Dmg is low relative to other builds but ur giga tanky and fast
Well, question is what can u cook with that🤷♂️ something wolves or crows?
I always really like the frostbite spriggan build i was running if I can scale dmg higher, it was like jump into 6 totems then 9 from spriggan with frenzy and dmg XD 15 totems and then you spawn extra from idols percent on hit to spawn totem
You get 6 from Luap and then 9 from Spriggan, it also freezes things like instantly so its a good defensive layer and ur healing at same time
i think if somehow cooked reflect dmg and somehow to spread thronshield on many targets at once, it could be formidable but idk much about the game to cook something up like that
It'd work solidly for double thundrr wolf
okay so instead of storm totem, we have an unspec'd totem that acts as a buff and that's it. we spec avalanche for boulder procs
it's genius
It's something alright
wtf, I just dropped an LP4 draalsting in my 5th quest timeline
grats
untradeable though, and I dont know anything that uses it
Dumb question but what's the use case for it?
no idea if there even is one
@sly python i need your expertise rating my meme https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oYEmmjN0

3LP wings of discord
Fissure is for sure a skill
the dodge on the wings is just for maelstrom. can't calc it in LETools
Okay less insane in that case
Possible to point me in a direction, can be something aspirational aswell. Play legacy so and got a EQ bear that needs a makeover haha
One of the skills of all time, really
At work atm so i can't really point you to a planner
it honestly wouldn't be terrible if you could have more than one and overlap them
judgement can do it so why can't avalanche
Shamans class fantasy is 'clunky'
Not as bad as forge strike detonate ground though
forge strike detonate ground is unironically good
But it's using solo companion nodes with permanent bond and the howl of the west wind helm
it's free damage every hit that can still crit
Pumping their melee thunder damage
How's the clear?
It's the waiting game, stand near the enemy, take a coffee break, get some rest, go to work, come home and it exploded
lightning wolves?
Did anyone experiment with natural wrath?
Double lightning wolf
Yeah i've heard things but don't really know anything
that's fair
I wouldn't be able to say with certainty either. I've played lightning pack a long while ago and it was good, but dunno if it holds up
The spirit wolves should be the biggest clear effect
do the spirit wolves scale with your wolf stats?
toast you should look at my possibly worst build I've ever made. it's great
Anyone tried using Jormun's axe to support a minion build? Crit vuln seems kinda nice
Close your eyes please
Spirit Thorns Beastmaster ... anyone played that yet?
hah all good! If you do remember and find the time i wouldnt mind a sick aspirational one, 2t7s and all 😉 IF your intressted/got time to cook one up.
How does this work
I have been summoned
Wings of Discord detected. Goated build
the T7 dodge is for aproximating maelstrom
BM with Bear best levelling build or is there better?
bear bm is smooth just gonna be slow
You could have automated things by going swarmblade as well
the tempest trigger chance when transformed is so low
bugman gets tornadoes on swing
is there better?
yeah but my wind tempests
You'd have thebugman aoe to replace it
I'd have to actually see it in game as to which feels better
you'd still get wind tempest tho
why are you taking snap gale?
Bold move running a spell build with sword + axe
Does range node in thorn totem affect its target range
more damage, same with the following node
Should've taken a shield and the shield axe just to be safe, got loads of damage anyway
Yeah how far the projectiles travel
if you swap out avalanche for gathering storm you can use storm bolts for extra damage instead
No if you really wanna meme, we go fire conversion
That is what i alrdy understood but i want to know if it will shoot at mobs intentionally that are farther
Counter point, entangling roots
you also cant cast roots as a bug
You can test it, they will always shoot even if they can't reach the target
You can as bear though
Ugh i haven't reached dummy area yet
Only with Simoon
Simoon and TS tiny proc chance on swipe
but human form was what I was thinking anyway
basically just swap avalanche for roots
Bold of you to think you will cast a tornado as transformed
use Bhuldars wrath and drop EQs on peopel when you jump around
I want more bugman support
Hell I want bugman to just be as cohesive in his skill tree as bear and spriggan are
Lightning earth quake fury leap
does the spell damage buff from roots affect yourself? it says allies and minions
I would like to think i'm my own ally
No ure your worst enemy
I'll settle for just one of the locust swarm conversions working
Ok I just tested it, it does nothing. Reaches a tiiiiiny bit further, like 3 pixels. It's useless
Nah, it says "other allies"
Me and my 3pts in that node :
Thx
does the cold one not work?
It only converts the phys half, so you end up with half poison damage but all your poison chance converted to frostbite lol
as of 0.9
I think ill go poison totem but frost has better crit
I hate these half split skills
Ye... cold locust swarm was my favorite build prior to 0.9 when they messed up that conversion
It would be cool if there was anyway to actually support half split damage scaling
As far as I can recall, only Void cleaev has a node that does it, with the phys increasing fire dmg as well
oh and flame reave fire increases lightning
Yeah void cleave works pretty well. Need more skills to have something along those lines
bleed locust swarm during beta was nutty fun
But more than any of that, I want serpent strike to not look like it was designed by AI
TS is made by chatgpt
I was just typing out a message about how awful the serpent strike tree is
Nodes terrible, focus terrible, the visual tree, terrible
It was too good then nerfed to unplayable and only deals damage when ramped
and the pathing omg
I hope it gets some love because I really like the concept of serpent strike
Maybe then the SS node in swarmblade will actually mean something
Like Swipe on bear man is just clean
Spear gaming or the exact same feel on a swarmblade
the top half of the tree might as well not exist. serpent venom was good for a short time after it got reworked
Love me some bleed chance/maelstrom
there's gotta be a zoo build that the land before enables
Just no
i am building the reflect shaman this season, played it last, and wonder why the guide has made everything cold. wasnt it a physical build last season?
reflect has no damage type
Reflect isn't your damage either
then why does it want me using gathering sotrm and maelstrom?
Does the guide not say anything?
you're constantly spamming to generate maelstrom as a spriggan
then gathering storm is just kinda free
I thought you were just running and using thorn shield, summon storm totem automatically and kept running?
it has words on the page... does that count?
It's a fun lore flavor text for the item I'm describing
Laup's path
The coward
Anyways id probably level tsunami scorp like this https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/B4Xdd8jl
Season 4: Shattered Omens / 1.4.1
Primalist (24) / Beastmaster (74) / Shaman (5) / Druid (10)
▸ Health: 1,423, Regen: 76.16/s
▸ Mana: 328.73, Regen: 12.96/s
▸ Ward Retention: 6%, Regen: 0/s
▸ Attributes: 55 Str / 18 Dex / 3 Int / 17 Att / 3 Vit
▸ Resistances: 6% / 30% / 30% / 18% / 0% / 3% / 3%
▸ Endurance: 40%, Threshold: 285
▸ Dodge Chance: 3% (72)
▸ Armor Mitigation: 16% (493)
Since you'd want to be a BM, you get 5 max companions just from passives, literally zero benefit to land before in that case 🥲
I got nice lands yesterday corrupted for minion base crit while leveling.
yeah kinda silly isn't it
you could use an unspec'd companion and not have wolf on the bar couldn't you
gives you 6
but in order to have 6 you'd need to be BM anyway for raptor or saber lol
insane design. was literally just for frogs
Yep exactly
"land before companions"
like the only case where it could be even slightly useful is if you wanted to have all 5 companions on a druid or shaman, but like... why
and even then, you'll never be able to use up the number of companions it gives you
yeah, and baseline + land before is max 6 companions lol
i want a zoo build to be viable for primalist. there's so many neat cross-companion synergies
The addition of the spriggan aura buffs for multi-companion was pretty neat
yeah
Not to be mean to the devs but that item is a terrible design, it's only viable use case is frogs afaict
raptor reduces companion ability cooldowns too
I do still think the fire armor crows + spriggan build could be a thing
yeah probably
It's reeeeeeally hard to get 15 points in druid as BM
i just think it would be cool to have a big pack of different things working together
nah not really. 5 in endurance, 5 in attributes, 5 in health/mana
nothing wasted
and you get your spriggan
This is what you want, need to give up something before you're lvl 100
Technically I could just swap skills and try out the fire armor
with spriggan
hmm
I forgot I had this equipped already! I ran this with my crow build wth
do we have good poison support affixes for beastmaster?
(It's not using upheaval
)
since Idk how to build a good scopion
Why can't you choose what skills get lost when de-equip items. It's always the good nodes
He's kinda cool looking
what about the fire birds
caw caw
Crows kinda zdps since they're not lightning
so main dmg is spriggan?
I can't decide what to build. Def got more than a few Primalist ideas though.
does the fire conversion convert their poison and shock chances to ignite?
figures, were u able to make the dive/tsunami/scorp?
do my dumb wind tempest build for me
What is the build?
Everything is ignite, don't think the scalings change though lol
the wings of discord one i posted a while ago lol. it's probably terrible
if poison and shock is converted for each of them then an ignite build might actually be viable
They should be just fine as fire, no? There's not a ton of lightning-specific stuff for minions afaik
Storm breath at least
Both should be decent damage
That should convert to ignite
"should"
It converts for cold, but I haven't touched fire crows yet lol
I might try something like Rahyeh's Embrace and Jormun's axe and do crit-fire crows (and spriggan?)
crit is pretty cappable without the axe I think
logi's amulet gives fire minion crit
spriggan gives base crit
lynx gives crit
I kinda figured it probably crit caps without it
Ok I think it works, what about spriggan?
(I could hit 10m on both fire and lightning crowstorm)
Same deal, almost all its multis are for hit damage only though lol
Not taking the crit node for scorp?
i'm playing a nado shaman and the update today added a very unpleasant VFX... anyone else?
You think ignited enemies take 60% more?
It's really hard to test cause the chest gives 200% increased minion damage
Oh I know how I can test it
i think if you were gonna do an ignite build with it your spriggan would just be a utility companion, which kinda defeats the purpose of the chest
Also nice, dmg to poisoned isn't applying when it's converted to fire
And it can't even inflict poison
crows also don't really have any boosts to their damaging ailments. just their spell damage
Yeah ok Idk how you're supposed to deal damage with spriggan
hmm that's not good
we can get poison from other stuff though, so not too worried
Nah
So you're telling me it gets more projectiles, 60% more, 50-60% more damage from crows and that's it?
How on earth is it supposed to deal damage
well ideally the hit damage bonuses on the tree would work
it also supplies base crit and spell damage to itself and the crows
so you don't need to itemize as much crit
Yeah basically, the damage from crows is pretty big
How long does the aura last, 2 seconds?
no it's permanent
the buffs come from the passive aura your spriggan always has running

The crit is nice, missing a crow and a spriggan that does nothing isn't the greatest atm
This was the planner I slapped together a while back ~https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BrX7k2M4
The spriggan should be decent damage between the buffs it got and the new armor
Crows are doing like 1m and spriggan hitting for 20k on dummy atm
Wait I take that back
It's doing 40k on dummy, lol
is that 40k per thorn or for the whole volley
yeah if the hit nodes are bugged for the fire conversion then that's a lot of missing damage
I lose 1 crow, 20% more and 20% more again for crowstorm
And +2 to minion skills, Idk I don't think this is it
Spriggan also have no synergy with lagon stacks, it gets half
Ah nvm it's not even getting lagon stacks
Ohh I am I just forgot to add it
Whoever is doing that lightning upheaval with storm crows , is it any good? I randomly saved your planners
Looks like good dam
I'm more and more liking the look of crow bm tsunami selfcast
I'ma make a planner for this after work
but isn't many of crow's damage node is lightning?
would they be converted to fire?
you know, especially the "Fulminating Caw" node
The ones that wouldn't convert are aspect of the crow and fulminating caw, but I wouldn't use either for this kind of build even if they did
and will crowstorm converted to fire?
because the actual insane damage come froms crowstorm
yes
I had a rough idea of trying this with Gathering Storm to try and get more hits out of the crows. Self-cast might still be the better choice
well it does matter for lightning version I guess
So with primalist low life BM, is it not bad that lynx is healing you a bunch from leech? thinking about slapping on boulderfists
You go minion damage on gear anyway, not lightning or fire damage though
hmm but I wonder if the combo spriggan+fire crow would be equal damage like lightning storm crow
why not both?
you can have 2 prefixes
2LP uniques? erm
depend on your luck
but the lightning damage is more effective
since it gives 150% effectiveness to crows
Spriggan bugged, I justed tested it and it's doing 20-40k on a dummy while crows will deal 1m at most + I'm losing a crow
your crow has 180% increased lightning damage per 120% increased lightning damage
this number is only 120% increased lightning damage per 120% increased minion damage
This is the bugged node
reported it?
yeah
and also this
meaning that your crow deals 50% more damage for lightning version if you use 1 lp uniques
tbh this is a very good game if the devs managed to fix the bugs because there are so many bugs
also is dragon raptor still suck?
New unique comes with bugs which makes it unplayable, EHG special at this point
We are the play testers lol
It's not quite that much overall though, and the node itself takes a ton of points
Crows are very point hungry as is
What's good maelstrom stack number for non-manual cast? I'm currently at a sustained 27
we are testers without salary
You're sacrificing 5 more damage nodes you could place somewhere else, in theory it could be nice but it's 5 points. 5 too many
I don't get your point
I mean your crow could deal 1.5 more damage if you use 1 lp and spec that node
for offline your crow could even deal 2.5 more damage for using 2lp
It's not 50% more
You guys recommend stormcrows build over frog?
Lets say I have this, I don't have a single point to spend elsewhere, it would if I didn't use crowstorm, but those points could instead be for crit multi and base crit nodes instead. Why sacrifice those nodes for 150% of increased lightning damage to crows
maximal affixes for crow dmg requires offline play
I have 41 node using maxroll guide so it's not a problem
No, since you are losing 5 points elsewhere in the skill tree to get it and it's simple another increased damage stat that combines with all your attribute scaling and other increased minion damage
how many points do you have for storm crows?
if you have 40+ points then you should get the other multiplier nodes
The other nodes on the tree multiply your total damage
this is bricked cause of the brutality for frogs right
It's more just bricked because it deletes most of your armor
thats what I mean
i lose all armor if I put this one I cant figure out why brutality is even good
Ok with 7 more points I could do a few in shock, 1 in the 10% more damage. That would leave about 3 points left to put in the increased lightning damage node and you would want 5, I just don't think it's worth it
like which nodes?
or you can try to use items that gives more skills to crows
Higher than 40?
Is definitely an option
On bosses yes, on monos no
maxroll's guide is good for this
I thought about that too but i think it's not worth it
Yeah the corrupted attribute downsides are pretty nasty
ya it seems like they just suck not sure what the point is
also why stack 5 shock node?
I didn't say 5, 2-3 is fine
ah ok
but 1 is sufficient
you have many crows
so shock chance should be decent
and you have lightning swipe shock too
You want 10 stacks asap, that's why
More important this patch than ever, you need AoE now and ramping damage needs to be fast
hmm shock chance can be on tempest form
but also do you need 5 points in "observe and lean"?
since I'm not sure for you gear you would need 5 node to reach exact 100% crit chance
I got only 2 nodes in maxroll and my crow still has cap crit
I'm not doing maxroll and it depends on the build. I think it's nice, you're hitting enemies all the time anyway. Opportunity cost basically
my vines are melee they dont go into range... skill dont work 🙁
characters in legacy... not sure why they dont go into range
Maybe check your passive points, if they were reset or you otherwise don't meet the unlock requirements for spriggan form, its skill tree will be disabled
yeah, you should have almost capped crit chance by spending 2 points only
(5+4+4+24)*(1+0.2+0.5+1)=99.9
that's not counting 5% crit chance buff from aspect of the lynx
which would absolutely cap
ffs lol
so assuming corruption succeeds
you get 41 points
which allows you to have 2 shock node
5 increased lightning dmg node
brutality for frog?
ya thats what it rolled so I dont think I can use it
Sentinel, shatter totem eventually from the looks of it
wait why sentinel?
sentinel still needs leech
They can get a lot of armor
Vessel of Strife or low-life builds would get value out of Brutality. Also just builds that dont stack strength, just a bit is nice
nah uberroth definitely needs leech
healing, ward, lots of leech
pretty sure vk needs leech
fire shield throw needs leech too
judgement aura uses attunement
Yeah not all builds can use brutality, paladin have a lot of healing, if you can use healing hands you can have a lot of ward, multiple things
tbh if I use ward I would rather going low life
but i don't see that vk does not need leech
I have not tried melee paladin since their damage is not good
also
what kind of build that benefits from high mana for melee paladin?
Judgement and Smite
I'm talking about brutality
which obviously uses melee and strength-based attacks
Judgement Aura benefits from Brutality. I'd been using it a fair bit
wait how?
the aura scales with melee attack?
I dont know the specifics, but it does seem to apply to anything with a melee tag, subskills too
So. What we have this season for primalist? What are the good builds
but it is an aura, it is a spell
like lava burst scales with spell damage, not throwing
type scaling is not attribute scaling
it gives more damage to melee skills, not more melee damage
Mike said so
Upheaval Shatter should be able to benefit too
need to ask EHG for this
It def took my Judgement from 1m to 1.3m ticks with only 53 brutality. It works like it's worded, dunno if it's intended though
hmm
Brutality seems to be working to subskills, upheaval using shatter totem can use it, judgement aura should also be able to use it, as long as it's a melee skill first
have you tried vs uberroth with judgement aura?
im not doing uberroth. I've done the new pinnacle, but I dont enjoy uber and i dont need the items
because right now I'm having the 3.5% spell leech in blessing
And added healing for sustain
I'm not sure if removing the leech is recommended vs hard bosses
having leech is certainly more comfy, judgement is 1s ticks for healing which isnt great. When I checked uber the challenge wasnt the dot though, it was just getting hit for a ton
ok so brutality is not recommended vs uber
I just need that
my aura gear since season 3 has zero leech
so I need the spell leech spec blessing
@winter ivy how many mana do you have for aura paladin?
since I checked for some uber abby kills online
currently at 2k
Xylem is crazy strong
I dont think it really needs more. It can get a lot more, but it doesnt need it
it does
because 4 min kill is too bad for an S tier
with 4000 mana it could kill uber in 1 min
that's what I tested in season 3
i dont make the tier lists
yeah but the tier list is consistent with the damage I tested with higher mana
this build just needs stacking more mana to reach that
stopping at 1700 mana is really not good because how insanely scaling with mana the build is
that's my point
Is Raptor Beastmaster with the Tyrannosaurus Unique any good? Dino build sounds cool as heck
people stacked 2300+ mana with mana flay lich
so this build only having 1700 mana is not very acceptable for a mana and attunement based build
Kinda mid. Raptor skill tree isn't that conducive to a pack build and ai issues hold it back
Still functions
Better bosser than clearer
Will prolly feel kinda bad in omen windows
Damn too bad
cool flavour tho
Any Reccs for a Beastmaster build in general right now?
(Also is snapshotting still a thing? been away for a while)
It's been removed for the most part
nice
If only the aspect of viper penetration can become universal fire raptors will feel better at clearing
Specially their breathe have potential for aoe dot dmg
That wouldn't save fire raptors from what i know
Eh I think 100% fire penetration would be better imo
At least there's a fire tree passive available
Maybe I'll try the Storm Crows build on Maxroll instead
I still get the TRex lmfao
Fire raptors needs a lot more scaling to be good like a billion more damage and lower cooldown.
pack raptors do much less damage then solo raptor
storm totem starting work
what version you running? I am trying a Laup's Path no Spriggan form Storm totem build.
only at 300c but crushing it so far.
with Bones Primordial off hand is nice
Any planner ? For storm totem
last season I was spriggan, sure its tanky but I didnt like the gameplay, swapped spriggan form to upheaval
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Zenji/character/LaupLeaps
this is me, lots of room for improvement still, but it's doing well
nice death rattle corruption
Oooh thank you. Very nice
Mid in clearing. S tier bosing when stacking endurance
I like dinosaur so I choose it
When stacking endurance its bossing dps is more than frog
Idk how good single raptor is for bossing
But definitely needs pack for at least mid clearing
Single raptor can run primal cadence
As a clear booster
I have very similar stuff, here are our biggest differences and ofc that ekkidrasil, notice the double chance to shock on attackers on shield lol
instead of leap I have upheaval
Oh yeah forgot that axe exists
Fair rofl
But is dmg better than pack?
Since pack can stack both str and int
To maximal benefit from rex
Well pack has like 8 things that run in and smack a single enemy before splitting out to hit others
how is the mana sustain with ekkidrasil and not in Spriggan form?
Meanwhile cadence solo raptor slaps one thing and the overkill cleave nukes the pack
How about bossing?
any tips for helping to increase the survivability of storm crows on shaman?
I have to keep the efficiency nodes on thorns totems
Solo raptor does good boss damage and you can run bossing switch gear
that shield is dope, but I am fan boy for Bones Primordial. So I can't part with it
are you expending storm stacks somehow?
Wdym switching gear?
I want one gear only
storm stacks ticking down also counts as "expending"
^ I build lots of stacks even with only 1 point in friends of tempest
But is it better boss dmg than pack?
Frogs or Crows?
Afaik no
Ok that's what I need to know
what
so you are actually using gathering storm as well? I dont even have it on hotbar
every so often ya, just to get that first stack
I havent tried, is it even worth it?
I was running out of places to put points in GS, so figured a few more free Maelstrom stacks is helpful
im so specced into totem and minion damage, if I was too using storm bolts, those would probably do like 10k damage ocmpared to totem's 2 mil crits
well maelstorm could enable other buffs say from passive tree
but damagewise it seems useless
could also get maelstorm stacks from idols I guess
this is where I put those 2 "useless points"
ya right now relying on idols for crit avoidance and a little endurance
im so blind I didnt even notice you have warcry too
not interested in summon spriggan buffs?
nah I hate pets that die lol
war cry is nice for more crit, maelstrom stacks, cleanse, a pull in and a lower cooldown on war cry
basically I leap in it drops totems, drop storm totem it consumes, then I warcry for more thorn totems that do decent damage themselves
interesting to be sure
I'd probably look more into possible benefits from maelstorm stacks
ya I just wanted to force Laups into a Storm totem build. still a work in progress
and 300c is still low, but I am cruising so far
im not so sure about the boots, everyone seems to prefer mountain, I took advent for minion frenzy
u get frenzy from warcry tho
ya I am not sold on boots, they are better for builds that run Spriggan pet for the dodge aura convert
I completely forget Frenzy gives cast speed
will have to move points over there on war cry
Does generic damage or damage while in spriggan form etc effect Thicket of Blinding Light pulse damage?
No, only stuff that specifically boosts your reflect damage will help
damn that one bear guy did 2900 corruption with the old bear nado spec, i guess it still works great
Anyone got that upheaval shatter planner ? Plz
I did little e test yesterday with swipe + storm breaker on an old werebear i had and could get to 30 storm stacks. I'll try to build a werebear with natural wrath, might be week but will be fun 😁
I btw have a feeling that lightning penetration would be a valuable stat at this point but dont know for sure... damage skyrocketed with minion armor shred on those julra gloves
once I get my idols sorted out, was going to pick up a little lightning pen there
same
just checked that I had lightning pen highlighted in filter
I have no clue how much resists enemies have at this point
just killed normal abby without any issues tho
first time I saw spriggan die
I just made the character late last night, so lots to do still.
Weird, I read the Maim node was fixed for Sabertooth but I can't notice a doublecast.
if I understood correctly only these stats matter on the weapon for storm totem (as you can see I tried to go for double minion spell damage and failed)
damn melee attack speed
There's some bangers in the bazaar. I use two of these for my Lightning Retaliation wolf build
very nice
would that extra 63 flat apply to the GS node? ?
Yes.
I have just the tools in hand to verify
only difference, removed julra gloves and some other stuff for more stable results, 300k crits vs 325k crits
this was ever so slightly more valuable
for the boardman's set is the lightning nova from the storm totem tree supposed to count as a hit from storm totem? It seems like it should but it isn't, so I'm wondering if it's a bug or not
due to that last line ofc... forgot
Wait... is this increased retaliation chance on Stormborn node new?
I guess it's kind of wasted since I get 65% from Helm + Node. Probably better off pumping hard damage nodes.
Oh man, I played that last season. Was super broken.
I'd pop off 5-6 tornadoes and 2 screens away would be cleared.
Technically it changes mtx if the element changes btw
Like it becomes icile on ice element
Then rock on physical
the firenado gloves.... it just keeps going lol
gloves summon nado, nado casts bolts, bolts cast nados
nados cast bolts
So what's new about channelling tornado
low enough corruption it just clears
sure but after playing tornado spammer for 5 seconds, what I want is serenity
this is unplayable when you are supposed to dodge boss mechanics
Hmm I wonder if I can cook physical shaman
Since it rains boulders too
While channeling
Then I convert bolts into physical
so the requirement is a unique item that hides tornado visuals 😄
or mtx
maybe nado could use the same treatment that lagon water waves got
I just remembered Tornado also dishes out storm orb which is a physical spell
Physical shaman might be a good cooking
considering speccing into arenas on weaver tree, seems like a perfect match for storm totem
no clue about new stuff aside from possible corruptions ofc
played other builds but respecced to good old storm totem a while ago
hmm
so is raptor still untouched (not nerfed) this season?
since I heard that frog was nerfed a bit
yeah raptor was unchanged
and how is frog nerfed?
damage was reduced by a good chunk but it's still good
since I have not decided to play frog since season 3
ah ok
also was there any bug in the beginning at season 4 for using frog?
yeah it got fixed today
what is it? Have not played frog so Idk about it
it was actually to the benefit of frogs. the idol that gives +4 max companions wasn't properly limited so you could have dozens of frogs
it has been fixed and now works properly. you can only benefit from one copy of the idol
Storm totem can kill uber?
yeah that should be fixed
storm totem should crit over 2mil on boss dummy now 🫣
NOICEWE
🐱
Storm totem the goat
no no saw a few 2 mils
yeee 2 mil broken
need those lightning pen idols to deal that damage in the field though
and I guess an altar with prefix bonus
got a link to your profile?
Raven rise gloves + 2 minion spell skills !
Omen of thunder spell buff to totems can stack?
julra shred is too stronk
Cool you include upheaval, Hvwnt seen that b4
excuse me, I'm playing the frog build, has idol thing been fixed? or is it working as intended?
it's fixed
oh ok thx!
thanksfully crit HS mage is OP but not due to any bug
What is Hs
hungering soul
skeletal mage
minion build
from what I tested its damage is equivalent (or more) to abomination
Wait why are you guys talking about skellies on my pure primalist channel
Get out of my board
vlad did the same thing earlier when we were talking about acolyte stuff
he banished us two channels up
I've searching for like 2-3 days now but can't find any solid answer.
How to keep like 20+ storm stack in werebear form?
the 2h mace
stormbreaker
- swipe and attack speed
minion gathering storm node to keep 15 stacks baseline
and storm stacks expend slower idols
Also the node that give you a chance to gain a stack when you consume a stack
oh okay tahnks I see it now
but if I take the stormbreaker then how to scale the damage for stormbolt?
cuz as I see the storm breaker stats, I feel like it doesn't have enough DMG scaling stat
Well you have a node that scales your stormbolt damage based on the melee damage on your equipped weapon
hmmm not feeling tsunami scorp
seems fine
build and scaling wise
just too much stack juggling for my taste
Sir can I see your shatter planner again plz if you have it? I copied the wrong one earlier
What’s the comfiest/least clunky BM build?
hmm
all depends what kind of play style you are after
most bm builds do 50million+ damage.
enough for ubber
What does clunky even mean
solo raptor/bear/sabertooth/frogs/bees
I like to clear and move well mostly and feel some impact from my skills. And animal companions are cool
I heard bm are usually single target goated but less clear/can struggle in omens?
Bees is actually BM? I thought it's shaman since they are attunement
Uhhh not really
EQ BM clears omen idk about others
it's kinda true for companion builds
makes sense, solo minion builds are very tanky and raptor has very good single target
EQ BM is companionless? Or rather, not main companion damage I guess?
It's companion less if you want
I’m thinking Sabertooth, just haven’t seen much on it for 0.4
You can take one if you want
just ask my friends at maxroll what the best build for your play style should be, ask bina/lizard/volca
Yeah I’m reading their MR guide on Sabertooth now
What's the difference
shock, and mtx
its stronger then physical.
For some reason it doesn't show on bear EQ
the idol converts eq to lightning. so acts like mtx.
Ah I see
Double Red Ring and I’m COF/Offline might be painful lol
best unique idol
That sounds peak
Okay I’m pretty hyped for Sabertooth actually, playing that tomorrow
@brazen wigeon if you convert saber into ice
Then dual wield apogee
You literally get +6 skills
Yeah I think that’s what the MR guide is doing and it sounds sick
Need some bees too for them lol
Check for fowxyz messages
I'd recommend doing this initially https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BxvqJ8DR because the Exulis setup I have now would take quite a while to farm and this planner got me at 800+ corruption
Season 4: Shattered Omens / 1.4
Primalist (20) / Beastmaster (21) / Shaman (5) / Druid (67)
▸ Health: 4,829, Regen: 1,573.44/s

▸ Armor Mitigation: 80% (13,752)
▸ Crit Avoidance: 123%
(my items weren't that good obviously I forgot to save what I had at the time)
huh wait is avalanche currently bugged?
Explosive Impact is currently bugged to the build's benefit, forcing all boulders to fall at the target location, which increases single target damage.
omegalul if true
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Chombe/character/Chombe_Omens
I've quit for the season but ive done 58 uber aberroth, most on this gear, but i did some on wrose gear (missing +16 strength from red rings)
My best advice is pay attention to your DPS windows. Aberroth often kills your frogs, do not use your frenzy totem and howl while they are down, wait until they are all attacking. Same with when aberroth is changing phases and gets huge DR. Use your DPS buttons when its a DPS window. It will make the fight go by much faster.
Also if your DPS isnt high enough in the first phase when aberroth does his huge void charge up AOE, make sure to run away fast to lure your companions to come with you so they dont die and you dont have to try and resurrect them
I'm testing this node currently; and I don't think it's consuming 20 mana; but 10
Just to make sure I'm not being dense; 1 default auto proccing 1 aftershock; resulting in two bolders should be 20 mana consumed
Pretty sure the node is wrong
And always consume 5 per boulder
Yeah; Foot of the mountain doesn't seem to effect it either so I presume it's a hardset 5; Nor mana efficiency*
Yup, that s the difference between mana cost and mana consumed
TIL
Then it's a good day
Bluefeather band doesn't affect the boulder cost right?
From Aftershock?
Yup
No
Rip
If bluefeather band affected consumption, it would probably be amazing
As is, I don't really know what to do with it
Gain 7 mana per second while using an attack that triggers avalanche boulders. Rather use the crown than that
Crown seems badass
Do we think Unearth Shatter totem node is being converted to lightning with the new natural wrath idol?
If you got 180 apathy on a shaman with the butchers crown, that's 540% mana regen which would be 6.4×8=51.2 regen, but instead you can gain on hit 90/s
Since it's a subskill, I would expect it. But you just have to test
What node is that?
I cant seem to find it
Rejuvenating Splinters
I'm playing unearth totem and I've noticed it's started to do some real decen damaging exploding thorn totems; 2mil + pops per thorn. But I'm scailing full light + minion so was just curious
You mean Upheaval?
Sorry; Poe1 brain
😏
you made me realise I'm pretty much playing earthshatter despite scaling spell damage... I even cast warcry
The shatter subskill is a spell right?
yep
omg I didn't know it was listed on the stats on the character profile
I said 50ish runs but no
the first kill thing is bugged tho
Yeah but realistically u gotta play a channeled skill with triggers (Avalanche & EQ) or lowlife for that and it'll be lowlife with shit retention
l
quick question, do I really need to spec Maelstrom for Yulia's boots to be more effective? I can easily summon maelstrom thru a node in warcry, use Lagon's amulet or manually use the skill? can anybody explain the math for it?
im using EQ bear with frogs build
nutty
It allows for the buff of the boots to last for super long. it scales with Maelstrom duration. That's why you take the solo Maelstrom
It doesn't care about your number of Stacks, but about how many times it was cast
Thanks for the info, appreciate it.
Really? Avoided putting more then one point it to not drain my mana. Is that a bug or poorly phrased?
Tooltip bug, the 5 mana isn't supposed to scale with points
I liked LL shaman last season. It could certainly be better, but the ice lich gloves are nice with totem nodes
Frostbite shackles*
Otoh, you get a lot of endurance with tsunami
Good to know thanks.
Still not sure if it is worth it for generating storm stacks as it is hard to keep mana up for more storm bolt damage. Might drop avalanche from my build.
Is there a good way to build Gathering Storm?
How are bee builds doing? Anyone got one working well yet? Last I heard it was a bit disappointing
Ok cool. What mastery did they go with? If you don’t mind me asking
Which build or skill generates the most Maelstrom stacks?
... I think the question is one of consistency rather than just 'the most'. Not sure, though.
Yea its great for mana gain, I just dont know how to make a build like that so decent damage
Thx for the planner fowxyz ! looks fun
no problems! if you have any questions I can help
I'm kinda curious, do your friend mind sharing a planner?
how is this guy so ahead of other primalists, is he using any special new tech or just same old bearnado?
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/Pang_E/character/totem
that build offscreens everything so it makes really high corruption safer than most if not all other primalist build and it's also a specialized monolith farmer
So it follows the same old rotation, cast insane amount of tornados and go into bear and run around?
yep
the nerfs don't cause mana isssues?
looks like it doesn't
haven't tried this season
I mean with 1500 mana thanks to the staff you probably have enough to pre-cast tornadoes on bosses and they die before you would run out of mana
and rest of the time you are rampaging for free with rage
and when he goes back to human his mana is maxed again?
i remember playing that i think in s2
was fun
I don't think he runs out and needs to do that much
flat regen is low but with that big of a mana pool you are now expanding much of it and are sitting in bear form in most cases
He won't mind, but he is still cooking
oooh I forgot to look at idols they dont show up in the planner stats
that's a lot of mana regen actually
how many of those are you gonna slot? 15-45% increased mana regen ain't much
I wouldnt plan anything around getting corrupted affixes. It's a bit too random to get a decent item AND the corruption you want.
Does cooldown reduction affect shape shifting skills? Like if I pop out of spriggan form and then want to cast it again?
hc btw
Yes
With Tsunami added, is there any chance that Branch of the Hallows finds some real use?
We cold dot bear again
Hmm... I do have a primordial whirlpool champion amulet. 12 ward per maelstrom per second.
If a healing totem duration runs out, is that the same as dying for generating vale spirits? Sorry for random question 🙂
frogs still op?
Yeah you can just spam them too
How well does spriggan form maintain maelstrom?
I don't remember it being very well at all
I can maintain about 8-9 stacks usually with so-so cast speed and spirit thorns. Don’t have any other sources tho.
Awesome ty
Hmm... That's not much. I was hoping cold thorns spriggan might be a thing. Hallows + Heart for skill points and ward gen. Then Vithrasil for more thorns.
Yeah it’s not much. Basically enough to get the 6 stacks usually with threshold for haste and frenzy and that’s about it. I use it with physical conversion for the global multiplier too.
https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/sabertooth-beastmaster-guide What's a good helm to use here between a Rare Helm and Ekkidrasil?
I'm pretty sure that last time I checked this (in 1.2 or so), you could just generate spirits by resummoning totems to force old totems to unsummon due to limit
Meh
Thanks! I’ll give it a try later today
I dont think Seed is doing a lot for the build. It's generically good, but you could use a Decayed Skull instead. Easier to get, better LP, and DoT reduction.
You could also just use a nice exalt helmet. Primalist has a good selection to work with
Do you know if this works when they are converted to thorn totems?
Makes sense, thanks
it did
Atleast the new boss is a joke to frogs
Yeah, and can make good use of the dodge per maelstrom stack with enough mael levels
Mildly sad that we no longer have spell phys aftershocks, but maybe lightning spell could be good still?
i slept on dodge as a defensive layer for a long time. wasn't until I tried out wings of discord last season that i realized it can be pretty good
and then they buffed wings lol
Swarmblade dodge is so nice
primalist has a ton of incidental dodge too
i like that it's different from other itemization. you have to actually put dodge affixes on your gear to get to really high amounts instead of being like armor where you get pretty high accidentally because of strength stacking and item bases going up in armor value
Is there any usecase for an LP4 draalsting?
sick leveling item?
Hmm
it's tied to serpent strike which is pretty bad as a skill
There might be smth to do with mourningfrost Dex stacking +bane of Winter
For Swarm-nami
Water beetle?
True
Bane of winter is always fun
I dont know any water bug names
diving beetles i think?
Oo
"Dykare" is a swedish one kinda. Just means diver
i just remember from Terraformars where one of the characters gets dragged underwater by a diving beetle bugman
Lobster 😄
Tornado is still not staying attached right?
Sad BM has all the dex scaling
I think the patch claimed it fixed that
Crab lul
Why do you know this
Because åäö
my guess would be "They're swedish"
Waterbug
Hej jag heter Niclas. Vad heter du?
You're ÅÄÖ
Nice. Maybe Tsunami Swarmblade will be a fun build to try then
the frog nerf sseems huge 21 to 9
Hej Nicklas, trevligt att träffas
Trevligt med en till svensk 😮
Oh really?
you could just go half and half with the attributes instead of going all in stacking a single one. voidwinter bolts scale damage directly with both stats and then different crit bits per
Again, not a nerf
Insane to see more people being swedish, pretty crazy
it's like dex gives chance, att gives mult
bug fix not a nerf
A chunky little chest piece for a werebear
@near leaf Mr vlad this is crazy bad but #CrowstackingTsunamiBleed???

Season 4: Shattered Omens / 1.4.1
Primalist (20) / Beastmaster (71) / Shaman (10) / Druid (12)
▸ Health: 2,334, Regen: 56.16/s
▸ Mana: 103.62, Regen: 5.96/s
▸ Ward Retention: 6%, Regen: 0/s
▸ Attributes: 94 Str / 13 Dex / 3 Int / 23 Att / 3 Vit
▸ Resistances: 16% / 119% / 79% / 43% / 16% / 19% / 86%
▸ Endurance: 38%, Threshold: 467
▸ Dodge Chance: 2% (57)
▸ Armor Mitigation: 45% (2,642)
it's fun finding corrupted drops that are naturally usable
there's a lot of words in that title that shouldn't be together
yeah 53% HP from a single chest piece
same outcome i guess lol
One might say why bleed, I say Jormun
Wait, does bleed, shock, armor shred etc all count as an negative ailment?
yeah it's a reduced power level, but it's bad taste to call bug fixes nerfs. it's something that wasn't functioning properly so it got fixed. it just happened that the bug was to the player's benefit instead of detriment like it normally is
Like does it need to be a unique ailment or can it be 8 armor shreds for Ladle?
ladle counts unique ailments i thought
Unique ailments.
Otherwise, maxing it is so trivial that it might as well just give the full bonus.
So atm I've only 3 ailments out of 8, damn
Shock, armor shred, bleed
Since I'm not really hitting anything
Chill too I guess
Is there a usual way to scale vines? I think I’m missing something here
Spriggan form and Summon spriggan
Spriggan form and specific affix's on gear
Like 30% atk/cast speed from summoned vines
also some uniques
Typical is to spec spriggan form and make them ranged spellcasters. You can do either spell crit (phys or cold) or frostbite
Ok great thanks all
I usually do cold crit
Is it possible to pair them with thorn totems for more minions?
Oh okay, hear me out - guile stacking
Definitely, this is my current build
Hi is there an update cookbook's build for scorpion BM for s4 ?
Nice! Mind sharing a planner?
Sure thing! Here's the rough planner ~https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QWXOD0eL
And my character so far https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/FatherToast/character/Thorn_Totem_Toast
👀👀👀👀👀
He just started the season yesterday after the hotfix 😂

Thanks!
do spirit thorns modifiers in spriggan form enhance vines? I had no idea
Why not Julra's gloves?
Yup
We get super cooldown + flat
Yes, they do for spellcasting/ranged vines
No real reason, just figured the newly buffed gloves would be fun, and I always feel weird putting minion dmg + area on Julra's lol
Ok changed it a little, it's literally only a Tsunami build lol.
5 crows for the flat, 1 spriggan for 8.8 mana regen. Maelstrom will cost 9 mana/cast and I'd have 32 mana regen. Maybe doable?
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/Qb67Xrj5
I'd probably have to calc it to see which gives better dps
Season 4: Shattered Omens / 1.4.1
Primalist (20) / Beastmaster (68) / Shaman (10) / Druid (15)
▸ Health: 2,401, Regen: 56.16/s
▸ Mana: 266.12, Regen: 13.84/s
▸ Ward Retention: 6%, Regen: 0/s
▸ Attributes: 94 Str / 13 Dex / 3 Int / 19 Att / 3 Vit
▸ Resistances: 28% / 131% / 91% / 43% / 16% / 19% / 86%
▸ Endurance: 38%, Threshold: 480
▸ Dodge Chance: 2% (57)
▸ Armor Mitigation: 52% (3,342)
ups 😅 thx EHG to let BM without its main tool for a full week !
so the spirit thorns buffs also buffed vines? nice
Hmm no way to fit bees in here too? 🙂
@shut laurel hey btw do you have to use lightning upheaval idol for the totem shatter ?
For some reason I thought bees were spell damage not melee 😅 maybe it won’t work then
