Thinking about builds that struggle to get spell damage, the new 1x2 idols that give flat and % increased spell damage could enable some interesting stuff.

You can get up to 32 spell damage with those using your idols, not to mention that some class idols can get enchants that give it as well

Hi, I found a weird interaction and am not sure if it is intended or a bug. I use Static and skilled Overcharge to have it use its charges to cast Lightning Blast once per second. However, the Lightning Blast seems to be just lvl 1, never Chains and ignores my Tree for Lightning Blast. I would expect it to be the same as when I cast it.
Am I understanding this wrong and this is intended or is this a bug that should be reported?

Hello guys'n'gals. I know it's probably too early to tell but I really need to know whether new season has what it takes to get me hooked. And that something is spellcasting.

So, without further ado, I'm gonna ask about viability of some builds that I wanted to play but never had a chance. By viability I mean being able to clear 100% of game content, quite easily, without abusive amounts of farming for extremely rare items.

Builds I'm interested in:

• Big spells, big mana sorcerer. Preferably Glacier, if not that than some variety of Meteor.
• Runemaster that IS NOT based on Lightning Blast nor Frost Claw. I played those on release, don't want that playstyle again.
• Spellblade that is actually using his dedicated skills, which means Flame Reave, Enchant Weapon, Firebrand, Mana Strike, etc.
• Any Ice Barrage build.

For just about any mage spec flame ward is your best friend BTW

It can give you extra damage, a boatload of ward, i think there's a node for haste?, and can apply dots if your into that. Flame ward does everything

Second phase Lagon is like the first thing in the game that actually checks your defences, so it makes sense that people die there. If you start the game for the first time and you don't know what resistances are, you don't really have to learn until phase 2 Lagon

Obvs if you know what you're doing you can kill him fast enough that it doesn't matter, but most new players won't have a build like that. And if you know what you're doing, you probably skip lagon anyway 😁
