Oh, and these spells damage are fine even with 0 cost. This bouns is just like having 50% fire damage or whatever on gear, the real power is +spell damage which alters the base damage (as I understand it).
I understand that - but what you are saying between the lines here is that "yes, spell cost reduction does affect damage". Correct? Its not a bad thing either way, I just want to know how the mechanic works.
honestly not sure but i doubt it does less than its "base"
sorc spells feel kinda bad rn when under 40mana cost as it is, there is too much good stuff you lose by reducing mana that much
Yes, it's based on the actual mana spent to directly cast the spell
i have bricked 16 enigma's so far, 15 2lp 1 3lp
@zinc patrol I actually hit the 1/6 wow
LETS GOOOOO
How is Disintegrate now?
Very good spell now for midnight
What do you mean for midnight?
Midnight unique ring
The Flames of Midnight ring? Huh didn't expect that to be useful for a mage, the more you know
Yeah I think recently Frozen tested it out with the FC static orb build and incorporated the ring and disintegrate into echo farm
Anyone find a Red Ring this cycle? 0.0
if i have a 91% spell crit chance with 24% normal crit chance, do they go together to be over 100% or doesnt work like that?
If you're looking at your character sheet, no those are your global crit rates assuming you use a skill that has no skill-specific crit bonuses on it
Is the Strand of Souls the go-to belt for the FC SO build because the ward or are there any others geared for a more glass cannon type
well the way I understand it the slam will randomly take any of the 4 affixes of the exalted item. and there is no way to control that. The only sure fire way is to get a 4LP item, but good luck with that. So I guess to answer your question the ideal would be to have an exalted with 4 stats that you find desirable so no matter what gets picked you wont rage quit 🙂
i mean, i was wondering if it has potential for be a base for some 2lp slams
You could try to seal the minion health and add t5 crit chance or mana regen
yall think this low-rolled base worths slamming into a 2lp enigma which is not that rare at all? i had to removal twice on this base and no fp left to refine
I’d do it but I’m pretty impatient.
just missed my 6th lp3 fragment slam, god help me
how rare are 3lp's? i missed alomst 2lp slams now
they're about 200m-400m gold each lol
that's actually considered cheap, right? i am cof
yeah its not too bad. but the slam itself will run you prob ~100m in tries on top to get the right exalted
omg i just missed #7
this is incredible as a 50/50
anyone know if the top affix affects sparks generated from FC?
i just got a 3lp enigma
dope! thanks
grats and gl, I've only found one so far
have you come across a strands of souls 2LP+ yet? @past obsidian
not there yet
I'm only getting 1LP even at high corro
probably will work on rings next
anyone use Stonecarved for sparkcharge shatterstrike builds?
or have people had better luck with regular exalteds
gz
only after 21 enigmas
I get having stuff be very rare
but some the chances for 3-4LP stuff is beyond unattainable.
barely anyone has time for farming like that
i get they dont want people being super OP too quick, but there has got to be a better odds than what it currently is
yeah but that its like EHG said, the people who really grind deep and would want that gear are less than 1% of the player base
I can already do 1000c without a bunch of 3lp gear
this is true. Torment Lock is absurdly OP as i run 600cor speed runs in Lp1 trash gear
but I do think that 1000c+ the chances for 2-4LP should be better than it is now
but should still be a grind either way
are 2lp flames of midnight rare?
this game reminds me a lot of the grind in diablo 2 back in the day
i agree. it should be MUCh more rewarding being able to push that deep
yeah I dont feel like its very rewarding at this level, although its pretty hard
the Item rarity is much too linear. needs to be exponential since the Lp3-4 rarity is insane
Still getting a lot of the same stuff I was getting at 300 or 600c
agreed
yeah, which shoudlnt be happening. even the people farming 2-3k cor say the same thing
still hard for me to 1 or 2 rotation down abby
Not sure if I want to use the midnight, because the build requires a 2lp midnight
what's a most popular slam for a 2lp wrongwarp for pure damage purpose?
i would asssume its 2/3 things: cast speed, crit mult, and/or your dmg type
man I tell you, if they do something about the insane telegraph attacks that you cannot do anything about, and fix the dang issue that you have to click several times to pick up small stuff, this game would be so close to dethrone my faorite game (which shall remain unnamed)
pure dmg would be crit multi and spell crit (assuming that spell crit is helping you reach crit cap)
good balance between dmg and utility is crit multi, transfusing
What's a reasonable amount of crit multi to aim for?
I think right now with skull swap on catalyst, my spell crit is over capped 119% and crit multi 350%
okay then i got crit multi and spell crit on wand. For my mapping setup, my crit is at 96, for my bossing setup, I swap in crystal skull, double julra, and crown, crit capped.
sounds pretty good
oh okay so that makes sense. i know the sheet doesnt account for skill related crit eg. 8% on glacier which would put me at 99% for that skill. I just was wondering if the normal crit rate affected spell crit chance at all - like if they stacked or if they are completely independent of eachother
your spell crit on sheet is includes your non spell crit
the glacier 8% crit is base crit also, which is different.
Damn that’s nice. My mapping is only 75 I think. Can’t wait to switch to a 4% gaze. Even if it’s just t7 mana and no orb I’d take it
I think the biggest upgrades for my bossing setup is the crown
fractured
ah
How many ROA did it take
also what corro you bossing at? I’m doing 1000 and it’s already one cycle on everything
God damn
I've been playing my ass off and only at 350 corruption on a legacy character lmao
😭
what exactly does this mean. It says it doesnt scale with it, but can still get attack speed...?
im confused. can I attack faster or not?
Might be a great question for #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs
sounds like a plan
It stops scaling entirely with attack speed that you can find anywhere (e.g. gear, passives, other skill nodes) and now only scales with attack speed gained from Fulmination.
Thinking about this, this should mean the negative attack speed doesn't apply to flamereave... (using ardent branding node)
any flame reave enjoyers? looking for a build to utilize rainbow sword
If that is true.. hmm, sounds like ima experiment a little
for fractured crown... is it Increased mana, or added mana affix?
(needed for ascendence)
anyone here running frostclaw lightning runemaster variation that i could dm and ask a few questions to ?
Does shattershock and frontloaded node from lightning blast apply to spark charge ?
someone can share a good loot filter starting early endgame (monolith) for frostbite frost claw? (sorc if it's important)
the one on maxroll seems meuh
I tested this, and while it shows that you do lose attackspeed, it doesnt feel like you do.
That's incredible 🤔 because 10 stacks would be a total of 2.5x total damage (100% + 150%)
But you have to avoid evading and movement is slow, but teleport at least gives you movement
unless.. lemme see if swift helps
yeah so its <total damage * 2.5 * 1.15> because they're more sources instead of increased. That's stupid fun 😁
yeah, surely theres some sort of Flame reave build that can hit for 2+ mil or something
well, no way to dodge the slow.. i tried phantom mire gloves and the 'immune to slow' didnt work
Well its not slow, its reduced movement speed and is only countered with more movement speed, haste, increased effect by haste. It sucks to be as slow as a snail
Maybe crab ring would help or work? You wont be able to use evade though xD
nothing makes you immune to the slow, so you would def need some way to get haste on hit if speed really is an issue
Which variation you looking for?
is there any channeled melee attack on any chars..?
ah gotcha
ahhh.. shield rush on Sentinal is too..
hmmmmmmmmmm..........
you could 100% get away with Event Horizon as Shield rush
yeah warpath would prob be even better
I haven’t got the crown yet. I’m trying to one cycle down abberoth
i just failed the 8th enigma lp3, it just isnt meant to be this season lol
Why can't I play Last Epoch? I'm trying to play through NVIDIA GeForce Now on mobile and it shows me this... So where is the problem?.... It tells me that there was an error when starting, no license
wait... with orian's, does it mean i dont need void resist?!
I think that is the case, and I got void resist on my 3lp enigma. Oh well, at least it will get me through when i get my orian's
gives you other options, like going strong mind or just base running a confluence
Guys, can someone explain to me, why "Mana spent gained as Ward" doesn't work on triggered spells?
Like... Static Orb build dumping 3k mana in 2 seconds and gaining 9k ward is totally fine. But for some reason a prospect of Harbinger of Stars build dumping ~1k mana in 4 seconds and gaining 3k ward is a HUGE no-no?
I can't beat Abberoth without Red rings so my cycle is over. 🙂 Never running mage class again.
whats the best mage build this season
hey
i think echomancy might be broken, in the bad way of things
it's not working
yeah don't think I will need an orian's. Confluence gives good damage even for spark charges, right?
yeah, personally I run confluence only for bosses given I don't like the damage taken increase, but a solid one is very much worth running
lol, that gives me motivation to keep farming for 3lp enigma's and join your venture haha
Love it, go get them and hit those slams
At this point I’m just running an Omnis for the resistance at 1400 and confluence for bossing and it’s working fine. I’m still chasing an Orian’s though.
I was actually debating this... but would be losing 130 base mana. how much mana are you at while running omni?
kinda bored of claw - kinda want to try out shattering star now
@unreal umbra how's your meteor build doing?
I’m running 2150 mana with Omnis. Honestly though I feel like at 1400 if I get hit by anything I’m dead anyway so i may replace it with a mana neck. I just burnt all my good ones trying to slam Confluences
damnnn lol nvm. im only at 1660 right now with a mana neck included
It definitely feels better to run with a mana neck. When I do it’s around 2350
are you MG this cycle?
Nah I’ve always done CoF
thats impressive
I’ve gotten pretty lucky with some mana slams. My crit and crit multi needs work though. Here’s my guy: https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/Qn9PjqEA

nice. biggest difference is probably your chest piece. I have a low base mana roll on my core and went T7 INT instead of mana
This is maybe a dumb question but im very much a sorc newbie. What is the benefit or in what situation does a sorc use minion damage?
I forgot to switch to enigma when map clearing and it didn't seem much different, just cleanring with crystal skull now, i'm only at 700c maybe it will make a diffrence later?
has anyoen tried planner's generated filter? does it work well?
kinda also depends on how much INT you have too right?
rolls are low end, but finally got a decent slam
how much favor did it take?
is there any other spells than claw and meteor that can proc spark charges?
There’s a unique gloves for fireball that has it but it’s like 20-28% chance
i tried fireball but could not raise its cost to above 40.
damn lame
All spells with manacost >40: Static Orb, Volcanic Orb, Glacier, Ice Barrage, Meteor, Frost Claw and also Static with one specific node. Frost Claw is by far the best one though.
word.
which blessing is better for frost claw static orb, 87 mana or 50% lightning shred?
Mana
Dang really haha rip perfect roll
Figured you can't get lightning shred anywhere else so it'd be OP
Lightning shred was great for FC spark but doesn’t seem super necessary here. Mana scales really well with the build. You can always try testing your echo clear speed with it on and off, but I don’t think you will notice much difference. We can already clear mob packs with one cast from fc and no shred
I think i have reached the point where i need to play a new toon. substantial upgrade for me now is the red ring, which i am not too much of a fan for farming it
damn
Plus the level 12 COF twice the amount drop doesn't seem to be working? Maybe i'm counting wrong.
its already factored in. when you look at prophecies after hitting 12, the number of items granted is already doubled. the double doesnt happen after the fact
oooh ok. Shucks then.
frozen sentinel's 1.1 one
better than 2lp confluence for mapping?
yes for sure, i use a sm4 for mapping
what do you slam on there?
got you. thanks. i guess i need some better gloves since i got shred on gloves
oh i see, resist good too
this has potential to be good?
excellent
a lot of maniplulation, will probably run out of fp. but potetially could be good
i like fitting extra armour rolls if you can afford to
yeah depends if that necrotic res is good or bad for you also
yeah i wont bother
you can insight off the crit chance, but that's potentially a lot of fp
or just straight up removal gamba and see what happens
yeah mana ripped right away
also, meteor is ok, but i wouldn't bother switching to it if you already have fc up and running
shame. happens, to be expected really.
bricked so many exalts lately
either straight up rip the t7 or run out fp
thanks.
i feel like i have reached the point where i either need to find joy in farming for t7int red rings or start a new toon
how is it compared to LE? i heard LE has better systems
I’ve played every season of d4. It’s enjoyable for me. I usually give it about 2 months of gameplay then quit until next season. Their end game has been lackluster but hoping s5 turns that around a bit.
that's what i heard about their end game. I mean 2 months is still decent chunk of time. i usually quit LE about 1 month in.
Only 2 months because I play with a bunch of ppl in d4, otherwise would be less probably. You can get to 100 and get geared out wayyyyy quicker compared to LE. The grind just ain’t the same
And no loot filter still
Dagorath spark charge? Im running that one
I think that's actually what I like better. I really enjoyed D3
I feel like d4 and even d3 have always taken the route of being "simple and stupid" type of fun, compared to PoE and even LE
Yep! I think d2 is the closest to LE in terms of grind for gear and min maxing but they strayed away from all that with d3 and 4.
perfect. i will most definitely give d4 a go
yeah i played every season of d4 also. it's alright. i have way more hours in d4 than LE.
LE is better. but d4 is improving
there's some things about d4 which i really dont like, forced group boss runs, forced 'mg'
I just don't like how the RNG in LE works. I never enjoyed such RNG even in PoE.
d4 has worse rng, but 'mg' makes it not matter coz you just go and buy something (mg) and go again. same in this game really
Agreed. Definitely improving though
Turn tiers on
Probably comes down to resistances, if using storm carved then phys resist already solved
Void res pretty good, most people need that
I have 85 on void
trying to figure out whether the extra static orb and damage does me more good than the mana and increased crit strike chance since the build relies on both
does confluence damage get added to spark charges?
So I'm like neck deep in a disintegrate build, and played a bunch of disintegrate in 1.0. What's everyone's take on disintegrate this time around?
The amulet? Yeah
t7/t5 mana/orb will do more dmg than t6/t5 orb/mana. also, the implicit is useful vs a useless one. overall would go for left unless the resistances play a part in the decision
if it was t7 orb/mana, that would probaby win. it also depends on the rest of your toon, how much crit dmg you have etc (extra static orb points most likely going into crit dmg)
so, I do not know how to calculate out crit damage. I know crit chance and crit strike multi.
instead of calculating, you can just use the tooltip number and compare both helms with ideal point distribution, under the same conditions
well,I see no tooltip for crit damage..you mean crit chance?
speaking of helmets, if anyone has a 120 helm with 2/3 % increased armor/armor & reduced crit/t5 orb, I'll gladly pay 1.5b gold and powerlevel an alt to 98 😄
yeah static orb since I am trying to improve that to be able to kill bosses and harbinger in order to advance. With the T7 mana my dmg with SO is 100,002 and with the other is 86K so yeah the T7 mana does me better. Didn't think about checking the spell DPS lol
this comment alone approves of your t7/t5 helm. it's good! use it
that should've been an easy decision. Learned something new 🙂 Thanks!
T7 mana all the way between those 2. ❤️
when comparing tooltip dps, just make sure the points are allocated properly because the game does some weird stuff when downskilling skill points. you might need to despec manually and kill some mobs
to spicorr's point, 4/5 vs 5/5 with high mana in manacharged is like 150k+ dmg on SO
what a bait to drop this this season while playing mage 😭
damnitttt hit the T7 but missed the T6 mana + ward
aww
I knew finding a -3 with 2LP was too good to be true
i bricked so many
surely you rune of creationed the slam waand at least 😄
yes I used my last ROC on it
might save it for a 3LP instead
it has lightning pen too
damn. would def save for 3lp
ive found about 30ish warps but no 3LP yet
imagine that hitting all 3
and imagine it being a -3 too
i am about to reroll or play d4 or lol, not gonna sit here all day and farm the ring
I had a double t7 multi/mana+ward. saved the second for a 3lp warp that never came after 10 days of farming. Think you just gotta take your chances on the 2lps
did it hit on a 2lp?
i would have to save a t7/t7, even if it never got used
i had a 4lp ladle that never got used coz i never found an exalt worthy
are 3lp wrongwarps non existant on mg now?
I've never seen one on MG, period.
oh damn. i reckon week 1 there would have been some?
and I look every time I go to the bazaar
i've never used mg before i dont really know how it works. would be cool if they had sale history or something
You would think so, but I just haven't seen them up there
not much worse drop rate than a 4lp peak. But not as easy to farm
holy. yeah kinda feel that way too
i feel like i could get a 3lp wrong warp if i tried really hard. lpl isn't that high
the base drop rate is pretty low though
yeah, i almost never see it drop on my mg characters unless i'm juicing LA unique drops, still very rare.
yeah I literally just got two 2LPs right now back to back damn
make that 3 wow, one of these couldn't have rolled 3LP?? lol
2lp strand feels hard to get.
@unreal umbra @ebon rain wtf!
that's effed up!
I' ve seen one, had the lowest possible roll on mana spent gained as ward tho x)
And the only 2 lp unstable core i've found so far had 13 on mana ._.
told you 😄
my only 2lp unstable core also had 19 mana on it feels bad
surely the t7/t6 is hitting
now im undecided if thats what I want to slam lol. gonna think on it. if I go with T7 spell crit with T5 crit multi and just forget about the mana and ward, that puts me at 93% spell crit and a little lower less crit multi.
is it even worth slamming a low roll 2lp core? :/
nah, i let it rot. it still haunts me. i look at it every now and then and shake my head.
i would only do the t7/t5 if it really suits your build better, and also the secondaries would need to be useful too coz you dont wanna waste a 3lp
Yeah, I have a couple real bad implicit and mana roll 2lps that I haven't done anything with--what confuses me is the 2lp sub 30 mana and 10% or lower implicits selling for 1.5 billion on the AH. Who buys that?
whats better for mana stacking frost claw static orb, 6 int or 48% crit multi?
Multi by large margin
Im tired of playing with glacier and im only lvl 45 but i got Cinder song and Harbinger of stars. Is there some other fun way to keep leveling? fireball / meteor something?
I tried fireball and meteor but it def hits a wall without gear
had to switch back to frostclaws
Havent tried leveling with FC. Did you do that with nova procs?
nah i did it with spark charge procs
yeah i wouldnt know how to do that 😛
ill keep trucking and do something later on
also need the off hand first
is direct cast applied every second for skills like disintegrate (in runemaster passives)
i mean, at least it's perfect for leveling Xd
Reowyn's is an awesome staff in general though. Not just for levelling. And it's super cheap on MG too. The entire setup for it is pretty expensive though, but it melts.
is there a mono with no axe throwers, get me everytime.
The Black Sun and The Last Ruin
I hate those bastards, but also enjoy destroying them. They keep me on my toes 😂
How do I use prizmatic gaze helmet in the frost claw & static orb build? None of the main skills are under 40 mana other than teleport and it is on cool down?
It's really just for the +4% crit chance
Hello, I'm new.
Use Lightning Blast if you really need to get Shred stacks. It's good enough without the shards, just enjoy your crit.
i create a Spellblade wizard to start with.
Alright?
or is it a complicated class?
@unreal umbra imagine if this was a crystal skull instead
it's melee so it is not the easiest class in the game
had good fun with it last cycle tho
and it got buffed this cycle as well
damn. did you slam the wrongwarp yet?
yeah today, hit both affix and stun chance. missed lightning pen but all good, got the important ones
still hunting for a good exalt helm for my LP4 peak
nice
I got suffixes on my two 2lp wrongwarp slams today 😬
lol you got a 3lp?
yeah nemesis egg lol went from 0 to 1 to 3, unreal
Damn, nice!
lucky dog!
Nemesis super legit addition to the game IMO.
its generated some crazy triple T6 exalts too
agree. Very unique mechanic. I like it
yeah, egg is awesome.
except when you die using it
wonder how many hardcore deaths from offscreen stuff while using the egg have happened
Yeah really wish it paused when you have the menu up…
Sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting for the straggler from 3 screens away to get there haha
Does interacting with the nemesis trigger spire attacks? I haven’t tried it.
yeah everything still comes at you like a truck when in the egg. I was thrown to the death screen while looking in my inventory
Yeah I just know the spires will stop if you don’t move or use an ability. Just wondering if clicking the nemesis will trigger them. I’d assume so.
Right I had literally to clear the entire map just to make sure when I put myself thing in I won’t accidentally die to some mobs screens away
since I started doing 1000c, I made it a rule to clear echo objective (especially spires), then clear entire area, then use nemesis lol. its extra work but removes that stress because I've died way too many times from offscreen nonsense.
No, it doesn't. Engaging the nemesis does of course, any combat or skill usage triggers it.
Oh good to know, thanks!
wonder if they are going to make any changes to it, some sort of immunity. can't pause coz of multi player
Main thing they need to do is get rid of that one spire that spawns enemies lol, no way to get "out of combat" because it keeps putting you in combat
put it at the very start of a run, where nothing else is around. Players have talked about similar things that like in poe make you know the presence of the league mechanic right away in a map.
how do they deal with degen behaviour of reloading until you get it though. or are poe maps different, you can only load in once?
In PoE, maps are consumable, and opening it uses it up. Here, I'm pretty sure it knows whether an echo has been entered before or not, but I don't know if they use it for much.
I think a visual indicator that something is aggroed on me would be enough for me.
How can you reset the purple head modifier in a timeline? I just can't do Mr Gaspar now LOL this is more a general question. I will post there
hmm wondering why glacier is the preferred lvling method.. when tele and white claw nova can work as well?
cuz its not as fast ?
i mean you only need to get to 40 mana spark charge node on sorc
so its not the preferred method then, by you and also by others
i mean almost all the content creators are espousing glacier
besdies a red ring to replace the phantom grip since crit will be capped without it, what else can i work on? https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QDgEPgGA

siiiick
I think this over an orian's?
not much lol. getting the same gear you have now but just better rolls if anything? higher LP etc.
I think a 4LP mind with a strong slam beats a 1LP orian's
I think it is time to farm up some better gloves, to get armour crit reduction and resist, since i can get both frailty and shred on ammy now
yeah getting good gloves is tough
hmmm...
i am thinking of slamming crit multi and lightning pen as prefixes since this will be a mapping neck, and lightning pen gives spark charges more damage, but mana is nice too
some lightning pen would be nice
guh anything but lightning resist damnitttt
working on a weaver's will gloves - how much weaver's will make it worth using? do i just throw it away after seeing its affix added being a bad one?
1 weaver is 1 tier upgrade, or a new affix/suffix. I guess you could throw it away if you get 2 bad affixes you never want
With just 7 weavers you could technically get T7 int
Yeah I usually wait to see what the first two are then decide.
if 1 of 2 at least is good, I wait for 3, and so on
i've never made a good weaver item. haven't tried many to be fair
seems like such an mg item, way too hard to make something good, but let someone else do it and buy the finished product
I still think i want to do the mana + multi + shred + frail on neck
is this worth slamming into a 4lp strong mind?
i was kinda of hasty while crafting it - i hit the crit multiple to max too quickly and should have got other low tiers up first
nah i'd wait for 7/5/5/5 at least but that's just me. it's probably fine though and most likely won't be able to tell the difference, frailty will only go up to 35% max
I think I want to wait for a better one
is lightning pen good on a strong mind?
what Spicorr said, definitely wait for 7/5/5/5 minimum and all 4 affixes you want
tbh t7 mana and t5 crit mult are generally good enough
Frailty can afford to be on lower tier because max stack is only 3 anyway.
would take ages to find another with perfect 4 stats
true, but a 4lp strong mind is probably a one in a cycle item. worth holding out. he also has a good 2lp confluence in the mean time so its not like he doesn't have a good amulet to use while waiting
I can only find a single shatter strike guide on maxroll, is there another list for people's builds for it?
amulet suffixes are kinda interchangeable with gloves, except for armounr and reduced crit damage, so it is a little more flexible than i thought on finding the perfect ammy
There is one on lastepochtools.com
By Cyborgwars
In what aspects is it a good class?
For now I'm having a good time
Does the Sorc Passive Bonus apply to Ailments too?
For example, if I apply frostbite via Frostclaw, if Frostclaw costs more Mana will the Frostbite stacks it applies also deal more damage?
Looks like it by the way its worded
Aight, Thank you!
does anyone know if there is any way i can get my fire aura to apply ignite?
anyone farming wrongwarp COF?
wait actually Calamity helmet works
Is there a uber Aborrath?
Whats a nice and easy build for my first ever Mage
Frostclaw something
So Sorcerer?
No, nothing gives it ignite per second chance. You can get it to shred resistances in the spellblade tree, but that's the only kind of ailment it can do currently.
ok thx, but i did find out the calamity headpiece gives "ignite chance on fire skill use" and it seems to work with the fire aura from my fire ward
so theres that at least
Calamity only gives ignite chance on hit with fire skills, but fire aura doesn't hit (flame ward can hit, so that can apply ignites)
hi. Any reason why necro grimoire/marina lost soul is used on mana stack sorc? 🤔
The guide might have them while leveling but I cant see a reason youd use them over something like ladle or wrongwarp
anyone know if we can farm Orian's Eye from CoF?
Yes, it's a random drop amulet. Pretty rare of course.
Does lightning aegis just make 1 hit do 25% less dmg or does it persist and you can permanently keep 25% dmg reduction?
It makes at least one damage instance deal 25% less damage (in addition to the other effects it has while active). It has its own little health pool equal to 25% of your max health and breaks once the total damage you've taken with it active goes beyond that.
perfect ty
Is there any universe where I can make a volcanic orb meteor build on sorc clear aberroth without becoming a god gamer?
Aight about to chose a subclass if I wanna go frostclaw wich 1 should I go?
I assume Sorcerer?
Sorc is what's popular atm
They give a lot of Flat Dmg. And then you grab generic More Dmg, or Inc Dmg
How friendly is Sorcerer for a league starter?
Still congrats, that's a solid T7 amulet, which is just what sorcs need!
I've trained a lot of fireball + meteor mages, and now glacier + meteor mages. It's definitely a difficult class to master, but a very easy class to have fun with. I played Fireball + Meteor up to 500 corruption having never followed a guide or watched any videos on meta builds or anything. But a lot of people do struggle with sorcerer, especially because of items like Harbinger of Stars, which I love but it's very difficult to play with. So yes it's fun, but not particularly easy
Sorry, by starter I mean, playing from scratch without already farmed equipment through other classes
I think that's totally fine, if you know how to play the game sorc is very easy. For my build, Fireball + meteor, I think merchants is best because the fireball affixes are dirt cheap and since you're already chatting online I'm sure you're understanding whatever build you're looking to play so you'll be fine probably either way
ok mages! -
Ice based Sorcerer -
Do I run Frostbite DOT or crit build?
*** I am loving [ice barrage] and it has options for crit or dot in the skill nodes ***
opinions on this would be sweet
pros/cons about playing dot/crit?
thankyou
I personally love FB meteor
The homing fbs are jus so nice and as you said it’s not meta so the mods are cheap af, agreed the belts kind of a trap unless you do the sparks, at which point actually fb can be mana positive(not sure that it’s good tho still in this combo, (the belt)) but might be fun!
Generally crit scales better than dots on mid to higher budget due to crit multi being abundant and the abundance of “more hit damage” vs unrestricted “more damage” necessary to scale ailment
Is fire mod frost claw any good?
Does anyone play Runemaster after the nerf? i played the frost claw/Lightning spark version in 1.0, but can't seem to get it working in 1.1 like it was
It should still be fine, I did some theory work on it for 1.1 and it was viable. Not S tier though like sorc variant
yeah i watched your current video about the sorc variant
Great video btw. I started sorc because of that ;D
There is some potential merit for fire FC with RM, few synergies around runic element and and the armor node in RM tree.
Ignite might be okay but probably worse than frostbite.
Otherwise it doesn't matter much what element
Ayyy yea tbh I am considering revisiting the classic Nova setup as a speed clearer since we don't need to push high corr anymore. Damage is lower than sorc but it might not matter
Currently i do the classic nova setup, i reach about 5k ward. Clearspeed on Monos is pretty nice. I was about 475 corr pre 1.1 Currently i can push about 350. Due to the nerf. I tried mitigating the DR nerf by Crest of Unity. But my Boss dmg is so sad 😦
Boss damage has always been sad tbh
I think you just farm envies and use those if you want boss kills on your sorc lmao
Well at least i could tank anything, so i did't really care. Now i have to move etc. with everything full of flashing novas 😕
I got until Abberoth but man ... so much HP and having to dodge everything perfectly is just not fun
Oh I’ve seen you on YouTube- great stuff! Got me to roll a sorc which probably doesn’t have good synergy with fire claw it sounds like.
Yea that's a rough build for Abberoth tbh. I made a video on spellblade FC Nova you might have an easier time with
Not that I can think of tbh
Oh well- I’ll keep playing around but the dream of a volcanic orb meteor sorc is out there somewhere. I have yet to find a way to make that skill not hilariously bad
I might just level my Sorc to tackle it. Since i play it a little bit more casual I am not to far into LP slamming with perfect stats. So i never managed to get +4 Claw etc. When i look at your video it should be easier for me to gear, with the stuff i already have in my stash.
+FC levels doesn't matter for sorc tbh, you'll find the gear very reasonable for pure FC setup, that was my league start
Static orb is a bit harder to gear
Yeah i am at this video, mostly have everything ready to go. Since i don't see a reason to play Cycle, i can use many items from 1.0 😄
@proven haven Maybe another question about your Video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RoQk84Qcds Can i also use Focus instead of Manastrike to keep up with the mana costs?
I use focus now and it's great but IMO it doesn't feel good until you have a sizable mana pool
Since Flame Reave doesn't have a the Spell tag does that mean it doesn't trigger Arcane Focus?
Yes
ty
Because sometimes it happend for me that i am out of mana with no mobs and i saw in your other video that you're using focus. How much mana should i have before i switch to focus?
Idk it's a feeling thing, it gives 40% of max mana when used while negative
Thanks a lot 🙂 I will experiment a bit
You might like it, try it and see, probably minimum 600 or 700
Honestly I hated focus, not sure how to sustain a big mana build without it but it got me killed WAY too much
Gotta take all those nodes that make you basically invincible while channeling it
Less elemental damage taken, less damage taken from chilled foes, less damage taken from shocked foes, more armor, armor per int...
With the shocked/chilled nodes, you're taking ~56% damage from anything, and with the ele nodes as well, you're taking ~36% damage, and that's without any other sources of damage reduction or armor or whatnot
i dont think i've ever died while using it. if i was lowish, i would dump mana on purpose where it's not too hectic then can get a good channel out. if too hectic and i'm really out, i would just tap it or at most 1 second channel to get that bit extra
by then teleport is up, teleport, free static orb and get some mana back and keep going
will these gloves work if i slam double resists onto my 4lp strong mind?
pretty sweet gloves, hard to get on that base
yeah, maybe i should just settle. wont chase for t7 ints
trying to get the t7 int version of this on eternal base, quite the task
even on any base, i havent found
it even high rolled on everything. gloves are amazing
if i were to get 2 resists suffixes on ammy slam, which resists should i get?
the lowest ones makes the most sense, i'm trying to think of a scenario where picking those isn't the best
if you ever use transient rest, it covers necrotic phys and poison res
For static orb, I have a new spare point, is it better on Static Ground or a 4th point on Open Circuit?
neither of those choices are good
1st get max manacharged, then get max storm conductor. any extra ppints in critcal trajectory.
when can I change to frost claw? glacier is a terrible skill
Is there any meteor build you would recommend?
Can anyone tell me why no one is using Black Hole on Frost Sorc
I'm tryin fit these in my build, but can't figure out a way to get them AND still have enough reduced crit dmg taken for my build to not get blown up in 500+ 😦
one t7 crit reduced on boots or belt (60) + 36 from runemaster should have you covered
It's just not popular, probably mostly because of the long cooldown. It is a totally fine skill to use in a frostbite build, it's just probably not optimal because of that cooldown. If you want to use it for damage, the fire version deals a lot more than cold.
blackhole is dead skill atm
I think it's on top priority revamp list
where do you aim a fully upgraded Frostclaw, maybe slightly behind a pack so the backwards traveling shards hit it and the forward ones get homing?
Interesting...

Anyone have thoughts on the runic invocation Vilatria's Storm lance with its base 100% crit chance? good? I imagine it would be easy to scale as just crit multi yea?
sucks ass
My opinion is it's not good. It suffers from what most invocations suffer from, and that is it's really hard to scale and use them as your only skill. They often scale really weird or uniquely, like storm lance, which makes it hard to put a solid build together.
Good cop bad cop
Is shattering strike the best melee build among all classes right now?
Hello all! I am a new player… I’ve made a mage / sorc… first I was doing glacier but I have found a unique that is needed for the frost claw build. I’m seeing people run all different types of the frost claw build with “spark”… can someone please link me a build that I could run to get some gear for an optimal endgame build. I want to run frost claw tho for this and be able to have smooth transition into endgame frost claw build.
Thanks in advance
Also, I got to level 84 so far….
idk about that, but it's pretty good
anyone have an extra unstable core?
why do you ask?
looking to see if someone could trade me it, ive been on the hunt for it for awhile and havent been able to get one to drop
Are there really none in the bazaar?
im not high enough rank in the bazaar to get one. I think im rank 4? I switched over from cof
You only need to be rank 3, same as it would be for p2p trading (which I'm pretty sure is temporarily disabled anyway)
Make sure you filter for uniques only, not legendaries
okay perfect, thank you im not familiar with bazaar
No problem, it's a common issue, tends to show a bunch of legendaries first even if you don't have the rank for those yet 😅
Is static viable? Thinking big mana cost and a sorc?
Should be. There were ways even in 1.0 to build up a lot of charges and pop stuff, you need some other skills with it to help with that most likely, I got pretty big zaps even then, should be good now
I think static orb could build a lot iirc
I was thinking mana strike, frost claw, flame rush, static, and 1 other. I assume sorc for the high mana cost I can push static to to grab the high dmg. Would you build that crit I guess?
probably need crit yea
just go into tunk labs or last epoch planner and find stuff that gives static charges
Why no Uniques? Shouldn't you be using Enigma at the very least? Even 0 LP would be a massive DPS boost
nice I got one of those with 4LP too last season and sold it
wut?
mb i ll use it, if i get 3 lp
brother what the FAK
@nimble shoal It works ! Sacrificial Embrace with Disintegrate !!!
Excellent! Then all my meme build crafting so far today has not been in vain 😁
My priority is to try and make ghostflame work since it's the only elemental channeled spell you can move during afaik... but disintegrate's DR should make it a strong contender if I can't get ghostflame to do anything meaningful, since standing still is scary
Wait its not working with Channeled HH
Hmm, some channeled skills don't snapshot, so HH might be one that doesn't work 😔
maybe because of the repeating of HH itself, those don't, but hopefully the skybeam at least snapshots?
What would
Be better for static, spellblade, sorc, or runemmaster? I’m leaning towards sorc and hoping it’s mana cost but I am not too famialr with mage passives ect
That just makes me more confused 😂
well, at least it partly works, and then we could ditch the extra channel cost from the useless skybeam (or not, since I guess it's still free-ish damage if you can sustain it)
does wrongwarp inscrease spell damage from movement speed on boots?
Yes
Is here any runemaster players? playing anything else than Plasma orb?
I'm playing spark charge sorc, is there any reason I should pick up mana arc from mana storm? From my testing on the dummy it doesn't apply any extra spark charge stacks at all
And the 15 mana cost is too expensive for such little damage
i tried several builds with my runemaster this season so far the only one that seemed any good is the plasma orb build but the consistent pressing of the spells in the correct order was tedious and at higher corruption it felt like if you messed the sequence of keys it can mean death . I tried nova claw which was underwhelming and I also tried a disintegrate build which was fun. eventually I left behind my runemaster and switched to a spell blade spark charge build which has been great came online easily, and has been easy to play.
I play a disentegrate build and have since like level 30, I'm at 98 now. It's been fun for me. I'm not a high corruption player, I'm at around 187 and casual.
I've been trying find myself a better unstable core and look what just dropped from a Nemesis, I didn't even use the egg 🙂

Hey I was wondering if anyone else is focusing on a mana strike one click to win build and have a perfect minmax way of doing it. ive been doing it this season, so far so good, about to kill th elast harbinger
I still don’t even have a wrongwarp 😦
Getting insane pieces for a flask falconer though
Getting a little bored of one button sorc frost claw for monos and orb for bossing and looking to pivot to something a bit more active
still not quite the 7/5/5/5 for my 4lp slam
can you still use Wrongwraps with no spell crit for static orb? i know i can but with out spell crit will the build still not preform?
is shatter strike really better for spark charges than mana strike?
not sure about shatter strike but mana strike has spark charges and range (of sorts)
Yea, I'm running mana strike right now. But on maxroll they use shatter strike. I guess shatter is faster, but I would get less spark charges and frost claws
yea that's what I meant, sorry if I was unclear
i fkn love bone amulets . I ALMOST didn't want to replace it with this omnis that dropped for me
Question - I have a pair of jungle chaps with 10 dex on them, it SEEMS like my shatterstrike does more damage with it, over shattered chains, but I'm not sure if I'm missing out on more global damage with shattered chains., I am running a siphon of anguish as well. You might get better clearing with the dex because it's unconditional, but I imagine better bossing with shattered chains when you can maintain 4 dooms.
that makes sense. I also have a bloody nip, I'm only concerned with bossing, think it also might be better to swap in?
Yeah, that thing is huge for dps if you like the playstyle on it
yea ill swap it on and off for echos
Has anyone played hydra this patch? I dropped a 3lp hydra box and thinking of making it
whats a good build guide to meteor sorc?
I normally use maxroll stuff but they don't have one fo it
allies mana stack meteor is a good starting piont
Is there a meteor build that doesn’t use glacier?
I wonder if you could make a frost claw harbinger of stars build work
Frost claw isn't a great mana generator. I'm sure you could run it, but you'd be better off using glacier or mana strike instead to have more mana for more meteors.
I'm at the point of the game where I tend to trail off because I don't know exactly what I should be doing or farming. I'd love to get to the point where I can switch to the static orb version, but I know basically all of this gear needs to get replaced. man, this ignite fireball build im levelling is cracked
easily the best build ive made so far
^ does it look the goods endgame?
I tried fireball and it was great but hit a cap with finding gear endgame =/
i have no idea im still pretty new to the game
have yet to really get anywhere with empowered monos on any character
but i killed majasa second phase in like less than 10 seconds
super easy to get 150+ stacks of ignite with unoptimized gear
and then fireball gets a 100% more multiplier on ailments
and another 15% more multiplier from the passive tree if you have spreading flames which i do
and tons of fire/ele pen from passive tree
flame ward can give you 250% increased fire damage while active
This message is not available in the United Kingdom.
and of course, you have flame rush for the instant dot damage with the 1% more multiplier per 2 int
Spellblade can still proc unspecced meteors with the belt. Also mana strike works totally fine as sorc, you can even have frost claw procs and ice barrage rolling all while spamming mana strike for even more crits.
when upgrading an lp is there any way to guarantee which affix youll get for the lp? I have an unstable core id like to upgrade but nervous i might mess it up
No, pure rng
rip can I use an exalted with 3 affixes or does it have to be all 4?
Has to have 4
okay thank you
if there's a sealed affix, it doesn't count toward the 4 and can't transfer, so you can use sealing to remove a low tier trash affix and put a better one in its place - the more of the 4 affixes you'd be okay with getting, the more likely you'll be okay with the result
okay, thank you
Is this worth it or at all reasonable/good in any way?
Both way work, yeah. The meteor belt can even be used to reasonable effect on other classes entirely, like rogue and primalist.
Nice- it’s obviously not going to push like 1k corruption but is it reasonable to take to like 3-400?
my understanding is that 3-400c isnt too difficult to achieve on most builds, but take that with a grain of salt since i havent made it there yet myself
Yeah, it should be. It was when I played it (granted, this was a while ago, not sure what all has changed)
i just watched a vid today that was explaining about power creep in this game, that some builds are powerful enough to oneshot aberroth with like terrible gear
i dont find it fun to try to push meta builds tho, i like to experiment with stuff that not everyone has tried
Oh you’ve tried meteor blade? Do you have an old planner I can tool around with/ point me in the right direction?
As long as I can one day clear aberroth with it I’ll be happy
Sorry, no, I never saved one. I would say the general idea is to use mana strike specced out for a lot of mana gain and grab some huge flat crit while you're at it. Optionally make it ranged. Then you can have frost claw procced off of that for more crits, and maybe ice barrage if you can sustain more

is it just a matter of getting better legendaries and replacing my exalts?
my damage is pretty good but if im not paying close enough attention ill die super quickly even at just 100c
What the general build for a mana stack sorc? I want to try one out with either volcanic orb or meteor.
On a quick view: You should replace your off hand (Opulent Focus maybe), cap your resists and push your armor mitigation.
Whats your stable/in fight ward? Didn't pay attention, but as you seem hybrid ward/health - do you have any leech?
yeah i was thinking i was due for an off-hand upgrade, or maybe use a shield or something. i do have leech from my gloves. resting ward is around 700-800 so not very good, in-fight it fluctuates a lot because as soon as i regen some i consume it all to proc the instant ignite damage node in flame rush
Never played that playstyle, so you kill your ward for more dmg?
yeah, my ward is more of a buffer so i dont kill my health with it instead
but if i can build up enough hp im sure it wouldnt be too bad
this is the node
Sounds really inferior to direct hit dmg fireball then, but as said, never played your build.
Playing a pure HP mage sounds a bit challenging 🙂
it probably is but oh well im sure i can make it work, the whole reason i made this character is cause of the cinder song that i got from a nemesis
and its definitely my strongest one so far
About how many ignite stacks you build in a bossfight that goes well for you?
uhhh bosses havent really lived long enough for me to test that but i usually consume >300 every time i flame rush into them
if i were able to just sit still and lay into them im sure i could get more
If you wouldn't be forced to move everything was good ^^
and those ignite stacks have 2 pretty large more multipliers on them, plus tons of fire pen
so yeah damage is pretty good at this point in the game
if i could just tank a few hits i think it would do really well
If you want to tank, you need defense layers ^^
but it is kind of a dash-and-cast playstyle which is super fun for me, pretty fast paced for a dot build
im just too inexperienced to avoid taking damage during mobbing sections
bossing is actually easier for me on this character than the mobbing
probably cause i can just focus on stacking ignite on one enemy rather than dozens at a time
most mobs die in 1-2 cast though so its more my defenses and my inexperience thats the issue
Yeah, guess it is a lot about player experience
i just find it really hard to stack enough health to survive in this game
maybe i should be prioritizing defense over damage more
but defense doesnt give me big numbers...
i blame my background as a borderlands player, in both bl2 and bl3 health and shield stacking dont do anything because enemy damage is so insane, but almost every character has easy access to inflated life steal and an anti oneshot mechanic called healthgate
so survivability in those games is super one dimensional
it basically boils down to 1. kill enemies before they even know you exist, and 2. get some life steal/aggro draw/fast health regen
so it was quite a shock when i started playing arpgs like this and grim dawn and i would die constantly because of a lack of understanding of how to gear and spec a tanky character
Played more (busted) ward last season and sticked to hybrid and pure HP builds this cycle. In fact I'm surprised how viable HP builds are, at least until 1000c, which is beyond the design goals anyway
here i am struggling with 100c and youre over there with 10x the corruption
Don't underestimate movement patterns here
yeah it took me a bit to get it in my head that you cant just stand still and tank damage
even on a "tanky" build
but i think its cool that the bosses are skill based as well as build checks
tbh you can facetank everything on 100c, probavly even at 500c, but ot takes some efforts.
well yeah i bet, i just have no idea how you get to that point
my experience with this game so far has been very "kill them before they kill you" but it probably doesnt help that all my builds have been very glass cannon
glass cannon in very loose terms, im sure the damage is also comparatively bad to a lot of builds
I am attempting to make a melee runemaster work, god help me
melee runemaster sounds good 😄 anyway i send my spellblade flame reave, he melting echo bosses on 500-600c, but need find solution against abberoth 🤔
https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/nemjii/character/palpajii for sure need make traitor dagger with crit dmg + flat fire, becouse %meelee dmg dont give that much dps 😄
I agree with Volin's comment that you need to add some defense layers. I was told to do so by a friend and it made the game much easier at the expense of some DPS (but you can't play the game if you die anyway 🤷♂️ ). Lots of amulets and rings come with innate resistances. The bone amulets come with two resists and it's super efficient. Enemies have resist penetration based on the area level (so empowered monos enemies should have 100%) and so deal extra damage to you if you don't have at least 100% resistance
Right, the 75% cap. I don't know this for certain, but I believed that it is that way so you can't completely nullify 100% of damage. I assumed that if you have >75% then you would subtract the enemy penetration from your uncapped resistance and then work with the final amount
If anyone has an article link about this mechanic that would be great since my confidence is not 100% on resists and penetration and capped resists
If you reach 75% you are nullifying the mob penetration
Unless they apply Mark for Death
But its pretty rare and you gives that ability to them with an echo Mod
or other forms of resistance reduction, idk if they are common
Poison (the ailment) shred some poison resistances
so it seems like having excessively high resistances isn't useful unless you know you're going to deal with lots of resist shred, which seems uncommon
That new body armor gives a good benefit if you overcap on everything up to a certain point
talking about @covert rune 's build again though, how else can he increase his survivability? I figure that Damage Dealt to Mana would be good since he is Sorceror but it looks like his mana pool is a bit lacking for that. And would the ignite consumption node turn that damage into mana damage instead?
Hello guys im playing Glacier Sorcerer im following LizardIRL guide since it's my 1st time playing. I was wondering why in the guide he have 81% crit chance while i only have 35% ( with same passives/unique)?
I'm watching through the guide rn and one thing he mentions is that you have to stack intelligence in order for Calculated Destruction to give you the crit chance
If you want meteor, this one will happily work >1k corruption https://www.lastepochtools.com/build-guides/mana-stacking-elementalist-sorcerer-meteor-glacier-static-orb -- note that meteor isn't direct cast, but an effect of glacier. Currently testing if FC sorc is better.
awesome thanks a lot mate
You're welcome
Also, I'm assuming you have a good peak of the mountain? These guides all seem to use Peak to get their crit chance up. Glacier gives 8%-12% of base crit, so you really don't need any more than about 50% spell crit chance to max out your glacier crit, but static orb doesn't give base crit, so you still need a good amount of crit for that
runemaster with channel nova is super fun and really strong 🫡 finally when i hit 83lvl will use wrongwarp lp3 😄
Oh i see ! my base crit is really low as well , might need an offhand with crit
hey guys, should I turn my frost claw to lightning?
hi, thinking of reroll an alt, is Sorc better than Runemaster right now?
lel my runemaster with maybe 40-50% complete items on 77lvl tanked a lot from fat herald 😲 and killed him in maybe under 30s
anyway theres some gloves unique that buffs spell/cast lightning/elemental?🤔 need check it on LEtools
Liath's machinations is the only one probably
Swaddling of the erased
now probally need test best combination for elemental nova 😄
I wanna make hydra runemaster cause I dropped a 3lp hydra box
me have 2x lp3, for sure heart is not good option 😄 now im going test something wild runemaster 😄
lel flame reave on runemaster works like godlike, maybe later i repllace mana strike with glyph dominion 😄
Really huh. I wouldn't have expected that, I never gave it a try. Why is flame reave so good?
i can show you, but do you play on EU server?
82lvl and probally i can clearing ~300c, need to test it 😄
I play on US server. Most likely I will just check the skill when I have time later on and see what kind of synergies it has
i cleared 380c in party, died 2 times by accident 😄
I'm still working my way up through harbingers, I haven't had to play on higher than 150c yet, woah
i feel like im Flame Reaver fanboy 😂
I don't have a LETools version of my build but I'm currently running Runebolt, Teleport, Frostwall, and Glyph on my Runemaster
I'm a bit of a Frostwall fanboy perhaps

it's really funny that your only Runemaster skill is the Invocation
and used as movement skill 😄 and static is passive/aggresive on skillbar 😄 and flame aura converted into lightning to shredding resissts
i wanna cap 120int on 100lvl, so will have passiive 30%cdr from runemaster passive skill tree in armor need t7 int or t6 in armor and t6 in gloves to cap 120int
and later more armor + hp/ward, ok me afk right now 🙂 when i back i rush mono to 200c+
@chrome stag try remake passive tree, delete %elementals, make ward retention to 50%, make mage flurry at +4, other points add into some Int points, you willl see willl be a lot better effect 🙂
thanks, I appreciate the advice
also try replace runebolt with another skill, test elemental nova combined with teleport 🙂 good combo wiith frostwall haste/frenzy 😄
Is runebolt not that good? I think it was helpful for getting different Invocations
i tryed runebolt, compared to combo nova+tp, nova with triple elements ffocused on electric, was much better than runebolt imo 😄
The DPS is low but it helps with the Runes I want and gives me extra damage and mana when I use it consistently in combo
ok going to shop, untill they are open 😄
can someone help me how to improve my build so i dont get one shot against aberroth
it probably doesnt help your resists are super low
what kinds of damage does aberroth do
I also have orian's eye so i thought that covered void damage
also i dont know a lot about this game but a lot of your gear seems to be just thrown together, not sure what the build wants to do
mana int and movement speed
a lot of the legendaries are not optimized
@runic furnace you resists are too low and no crit negation would be my guesses.
yeah thought so thanks
is there a reason I keep getting cold overload on my glacier build? not sure what to do about it, but it lowers my damage like crazy
i believe it is from my scales of eterra but I dont understand too well
I m,ean you clearly allready followed a guide with this build, just follow it better xd This build can os bosses, even aberoth if build correctly. Also you can get as tanky as you want, some abilities of aberoth just have to be dodged and cant be facetanked.
Press "alt" for more Info when hovering the item, it explains how it works. Scales of ettera are not good for a build that focuses on a Single Element
Why are people so eager to actually oneshot Abe.. Just build some defences, grab mana sustain and beat him in 40 seconds instead.
I noticed only two actually. Timeshattering Slam (or namely, the dot field aoe that it leaves). And his kamehameha thingy that he charges at 20%. Both are fairly easily avoidable
hey guys is marina lost souls really worth it on torment warlock?
a solid 2h staff gives me more dps estimated on skills tooltip
oops wrong channel
a bit changed my new build 😄 runemaster melee hybrid reave with frostclaw proc on melee hit 😄
anyone wanna help me with Aberroth haha
Any volcanic orb any good for the end game? I am running a sorc with volcanic orb as primary and metors from crits your harbinger of stars. Does volcanic orb keep up with glacier at all or is it easily outclassed by glacier?
scales is ONLY good for builds that focus on a single element, then you dodge that element on the unique text so you never get the debuff. well, that's how anyone that min/maxes plays with it.
gz
I mean if you use it as a base when you get one with decent lp this might be good but you dont utilize the infusions at all. if you want to make use of the infusions you would have to go for 2 elements.
Yeah the debuff is too harsh, item needs to be redesigned. Way too hard to micromanage that
hello fellow goblins of the knowledge tower i request your vast knowledge as i have found thyself unable to cast stronger magic , what should i prioritize doing next from this point, thank you this is your friendly neighborhood wizard. https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/NedraRubio/character/ZapZap
Probably lagon relic, better rings, and base crit somewhere. Julra ring seems bad without a proper slam and probably not worth using, that unstable is pretty poorly rolled probably not better than a good exalted. I think you shouldn't be using static orb this early personally, focus on int and FC first then transition
Way too much emphasis on mana without anything to scale that damage yet
on my 2 lp enigma which 2 should i try to slam int, mana, crit chance or crit multiplier?
this is my points i have done so far where is the best place to stand and how far away should i aim from a mob/boss to get the most dmg or does it not matter for this setup so far
Guys, if I said I have a very low budget (less than 300 Mil) Static Orb Sorc build, that can facetank any Harbinger mechanic (excluding only Abe' Timeshattering Slam dot) up to like 1000 corruption. And that the build can still kill Abe in under 1 min.
(And it has an unlimited mana pool, despite spamming SO, so you don't have to Focus every 5 casts -- or like ever, for that matter)
Would someone be interested in a short guide on such a build, or there's already been more than enough SO builds for this season? 😅
(It involves Celestial Doom, lol)
that doesnt sound anything impressive if you compare it to any other SO variation out there 🤷🏽♂️
you can't slam int on catalyst, crit chance is bad because you use spells and spell crit has high roll values, the best options are likely Crit Multi, Mana, and Spell Crit Chance
Technically true, but any other SO variation costs billions to make. Neither Wrongwarp nor Unstable Core don't grow in trees after all.
But that's a valid point, yes. Which is why I asked whether it's worth the effort.
Probably because the guys making the build guides are primarily CoF, whether items are meta or not doesn't factor into their accessibility for us like it does for you.
There are off meta alternatives that you may be able to get with much more LP than us that end up performing better than the lower LP variants of meta items. Play to your strengths.
Instead of wrongwarp you can use Marina's, for example. idk if that is expensive. If not that then a good Crystal Wand
You can craft fractured crown fairly easy too
Yeah, Marina's slightly cheaper, but is still a very well known meta and is ridiculously expensive too.
That was the whole point. Like you can buy as many 2LP Celestial Dooms as you like and get a perfect slam. Since they are like 300k each..
And IMO it's one of the most interesting items in the game for Sorc. Yet, for some reason no one plays it
Fractured Crown is quite trivial, yes, but then again, no one plays it for some reason.
You might be able to get something interesting with Vilatria for a burst setup, or maybe a gate staff. Could be interesting
I included fractured in my guide and pointed to it as the best burst option
Hello, fellow mages. Looking for a middle ground between damage and tankness Spellblade Shatter Strike, if any1 would have, please. Np if it's "expensive"(I'm CoF).
Seems 1 month into the league wasn't too late for a top 5 HC Mage run lol
could someone help me decide which one is better? running static orb frost claw build
Depends on what you lack the most. Mana directly boosts only the Static Orb damage. And by a lot: it's almost quadratic scaling, i.e. 50% mana pool increase results in more than 100% orb DPS boost.
While on the other hand spell crit boosts everything
I return once again to my attempts to make Disintegrate RM seem passable in theorycraft. Does anyone know of a way to convert Ignite chance -> Shock chance for Disintegrate? The lightning node doesn't say that it converts that.
Nevermind, moved on to fire and +Fire Aura area so I can Glyph extremely large zones. We will see how this goes, I guess?
@gusty frost I dont want to spam in the ask the devs channel
fair enough
So your Runebolts match the element of the last skill but you get random runes
The lastest one (on the right) seems to always match the element of Runebolts
hmm
by the looks of it, it's still random, so the talent node takes priority?
well, thanks a lot for testing, that changes things 😄
Why do you even need shock on Disintegrate itself? You can apply it by literally any other skill, and you don't even need a lot of it, since 10 stacks is the cap anyways.
Y'know, forgot about the cap. Dang.
Was looking at the +% dmg per stack node on the skill tree
In regards to Spell Cascade
It doesnt seem to trigger very well
I dont know if I am missing a condition
Manage to get one
I got all three spells when I had all 3 runes
i see, well, time to level and get that wand myself, so i'll see how it is, ty for your help
oh ok, you just happen to run out of mana instantly lol
You're also the goat so no surprise there
Almost certainly the 1st one overall. Without Crystal skull you will want that spell crit, mana is good but this has a whole extra T5 affix over the 2nd. And more AoE, spark charge chance, and ward per sec. Mana is a huge dps multi on static but without near cap crit your consistency of oneshots will be poor. Consistency is very important for oneshot feel. Also for FC / spark charges the mana is a lot less beneficial than the spell crit.
❤️
Oh Glacier build on the left I was trynna do
thanks brother, following the build you made a video about. i have heard about crystal skull, maybe i missed it on your video. it's something that's used in the build im guessing?
for static orb, it's a swap
ahh gotcha! thanks alot man, I love your video btw
🙂
Hello all , new to mage , quick question .. what stats should I add to a 2lp wrong warp to make static orb super powerful for one shotting , thanks
Crit multi probably, 2nd probably mana + mana spent
Ok and would it be ok to add crit multiplier and increased spell damage or crit multiplier and mana spent would be much better ?
increased is much worse because you already have a significant amount for free, and mana scales static orb damage much harder
Ok thanks for I’ll try to slam with crit multiplier and mana spent , thanks appreciate it
T7 mana or T7 multiplier ? Like which should be higher if I find the exhalted
Currently have a t6 mana t5 multiplier . Will try find better before slamming
Didn't do math but most likely the multi because the mana on wand is a hybrid roll so the values are lower
Ok thanks
Time to farm
@proven haven what do you think about using 2 julra's rings with t7 int for 1 shotting bosses ?
would losing out on flames of midnight scuff it?
yes you can do this
awesome 🙂 what kind of spell crit rate do you shoot for? i'm sitting at 55 right now
80+, spell crit on char sheet does not include lightning crit fyi
I'm assuming that this 80% from cracking precision isn't shown in spell critical strike chance (for static orb / spark charges)?
80% is shown, the extra 80% for lightning isn't
so this is totally overkill.. ?
Depends on your base/added crit for the skill you're using, if it's the same kind of build FS was talking about above, probably yeaah
Yeah. Totally missed that 80% wasn't added in. Thanks
is this a crazy stat for static orb frost claw ? seems nuts
Problem is the helm is where you get +4 static orb.. and you really don't need the crit if you are using the standard setup...
+4 static orb is a HUGE amount of more damage 🙂
even more so than 16 int?
for static orb absolutely.. not so much for the spark charges... that is more of the "hybrid" setup so you don't have to swap gear.. 🙂 If I could ever get a 2 LP version with 4% crit I have a t7 static orb and t6 intellect helm I'd love to try and slam...
ive been thinking of it but the prices of t7 s orb is pretty expensive gor me at 150m in mg, but i already have 2x 4% crit 1lp waiting to be slammed
CoF here.. so as I get.. I slam .. hehe
Can't find a list of all patch notes since I last played, any of the mage nodes still outright don't work, or has that been fixed? Working on my own builds was a bit annoying when I wasn't sure if they worked w/o doing the math
1.1 was a good read... alot of stuff was re-worked / fixed
should be able to scroll up in the "news" tab
I read through 'em but don't remember everything and do remember not seeing some specifics noted (though they might've been folded under more general "hey this was fixed" stuff), stuff like VK's void beams still didn't work post patch iirc
thanks bro
wait what, what do you mean the void beams don't work?
I saw that channeling skills no longer stop mana regen, is there a good disintegrate build out there ? Or am I stuck doing something else since I picked sorcerer
For over a year void beam perks outright didn't work, and they weren't fixed in a main patch but a smaller one after being brought up (again) on reddit
Like erasing strike would have at most 1 beam, they didn't follow, had no damage bonuses etc
I recently found an elemental bee idol, is there any build that utilizes these? There's not really any minion skills for the mage, so it kinda confused me when i saw it was on a mage idol
Not yet. It's basically a super rare joke item. That said, they may add a unique item to support them in the future like they eventually did for rogue and primalist.
can anyone explaing ward retention to me? I dont fully understand it
You lose ward constantly while above your ward decay threshold (0 by default). Ward retention makes you lose ward slower. Since the amount of ward you lose per second scales up the more ward you have, retention lets you maintain higher ward values.
Could you recommend a fire runemaster build to build around this sweet piece of a gear?
You're going to be fairly limited on how you build because you need armor, dodge, and ward, but I feel like the hydrahedron or plasma orb would be the one that you'd want to go for.

what should i upgrade next?
maybe the issue is that you're using a shield and not a catalyst tho
not saying you cant use one
yeah i am looking for a good catalyst
spending all my favor on catalyst prophecies
for now its mainly just covering my poison resist and giving me a bit of block
cant deny that
i think i need a better amulet too, and im not sure if that relic is worth using
soulfire is good especially for you
imo you went a little too much into battlemage territory
wdym battlemage?
i'm not sure if we can call you glass cannon since you probably cant one shot yet
at least what's for sure is that you have to move around a lot if not use teleport to dodge
oh yeah i love moving around a lot
a mage is already weak in nature/gear, but you took it a step further by not getting more ward
flame rush might be my new favorite skill
its so much fun
i dont think i would enjoy a build that just facetanked everything
i just wanna be able to clear content
i'm still too low level to switch to static or frostclaw so i'm stuck with glacier kek
I would consider dropping the ashes with t4 health, you are already pretty heavy on low LP uniques and you would like to cap endurance
eh CoF ftw
even with rank 10 cof
i'm an SSF kind of guy since ARPGs were born
Exalted items are good you don't necessarily need high LP uniques
me too but i feel like i cant get anything good
is it your filter maybe ?
I also think your body armour is bad
i just set up a basic filter, chose all the affixes i want for my build
you should be getting a crapton of exalted even without T11 CoF
You really want % health everywhere you can get it if you are building health
This is an ignite build right?
yeah
yeah
been looking for an upgrade for ages
honestly the passives kinda look like a mess to me
Immolators is only 11% ignite duration here, I'd probably take a rare belt with t5 %health t5 hybrid health over it tbh
just because it's a fire/ignite build doesnt mean you should just put in everything fire-related
im using it for the self ignite for more ward with ashes mainly
a good communion belt could also be helpful if you're not using a spidersilk
I had overlooked that but I'd be surprised if it was worth it
nah he's locking himself out of too many options doing this
idk if its good or not i just think its a neat synergy
he's lacking survivability despite his gear, so there's clearly a lack of utility
i might look into respeccing my passives when i get back home
not saying there isnt a synergy btw, but that just because it's good in this aspect doesnt make it a better option
btw prismatic gaze might be an upgrade to your helmet, even if it has no ignite option
especially if you get a legendary one
Prismatic over calamity? For ignite?
more as a general use, not for ignite itself
he's spamming these fireballs anyway so the prisms could defend him
not to mention the crits and the less elem dmg received
Crits do nothing for ignite though
...right
forgot for a sec. but the prisms are still active, and the def is always useful
in the first place ignite means he's waiting for the enemy to die so all he needs is mobility right ?
not necessarily
well he's not one shotting at least
im still casting fireball as much as i can, as a hit build would
yeah but you're a hit'n'run in boss fight basically
No more than any hit build
thats just how ailment builds work in this game, gotta keep up the stacks, not just waiting for enemies to die (which i really like design-wise)
yup
at least my traildin doesnt need to stack kek
i also have this which i use on bosses and larger enemies usually
no wonder you're suffering
altho thats probably another reason im glass cannon
you already dont have a lot of ward with your build
with this you lose both health and ward at once
its so fun tho :/
stacking up on a boss and then dashing into them to do a huge chunk of damage
Not exactly, it's Ward instead of health
well, i dont have enough ward so it usually consumes the 40% of current health as well
Lmao
you lose health without ward
so if he empties his low ward he loses hp
Yeah but not both unless you run out of Ward, which is what I thought you were saying
yeah nah that wasnt what i meant
i meant that he loses his ward quickly then loses health in turn
Yeah ok
I actually think it's a solid node as long as it's not getting you killed lol
btw you should at least grab that final node in Mage if you're putting points in there already
because the one you put on the LET page is at 0 lol
yeah thats where my next points are going
Yeah silver rune is nice for health based mage
i should probably respec some
Well reactive Ward is I mean
idk why you grabbed so many elementalist points instead of scholar tho
and sun and storms only needs 1 tbh
especially when you're a fire and not hybrid mage
7 seconds is too long a cd for that effect
silver rune makes it 1 sec right?
i was going to
also good question idk why i did that
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oN7LL4NA
just tried my hand at something, take a look at it (the passives)

with this i kinda doubt you can die theoretically, yet still retain good enough ignite effect
btw this is the kind of exalted you should be looking for (minus the crit since you're ignite)
cast speed is also fine
respecced some passives, think this is a little better
should be easier to gain ward now
https://i.imgur.com/uYTDyVZ.png decent slam? Double T7
first one defo nice, for stun it depends on build i guess
What about spells to chose?
on my 3 lp should i try to find mana ,crit multi, frailty and chance to shred armor
Hey, this is my stuff lvl100 for 500 corruption monolythe [FR]
Sharing on LE Tools (https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/) is very effective, import your character and then hit save / share and post that link here. Also, if you are wanting feedback etc., definitely ask (especially if you are looking for something specific).
👍
coc glacier/meteor + static orb for bossing, so it works well since both glacier and meteor have decent stun chance. It was first one, yea, hopefully I get a T7 mana + T5+ crit multi in the future
add a communion belt on top of it and it's great too
(dunno how i got mixed up so often in one go lol)
im using frozen sentinels frostclaw static orb build is there any mono that is best for this build like weak to cold and or lightning
what's the point when you're supposed to target farm
finish all monos first then hunt for your items/upgrades
It doesn't matter, farm lagon for relic, abom for belt, and rahyeh for amulet
anyone available to help with leveling my alt? someone farming emp mono
btw i'm also currently leveling my sorc alt according to your LET setup from the video descriptions, cheers.
still using glacier since i cant equip the whole 80+ setup kek
urgh, why is nemesis not cooperating today
thoughts so far im now trying to get a wrong warp with 3 mana

@proven haveni see thought there might be easyer mono to do due to the damage i do thanks
TFW you're trying hard to get your build to dish insane damage but also get it over 1000 mana for the perks
Runemaster or Sorc for cold?
Sorc, usually
Also, are Tundra Stalkers appropriately tuned? I kind of understand 4 ticks/second as "DoT" and there's a gap in my defenses, but it seems like this has been a known problem for a long while.
Is a spellblade that focuses on aura damage and zipping around doable? Haven't really played one outside of a stint doing flame reave in 1.0 and I remembern othing
They were recently nerfed, but still kinda dangerous. The main danger they have is they stack frostbites on you, if you can cleanse that you'll be okay generally.
Yeah they were just nerfed in 1.1.3 but I'm running into odd edge cases (high arena, not generally balanced around) where you don't even have a chance to cleanse. Just dead on the first tick.
Fire aura is not exactly strong enough to stand on its own, and it's hard to stack without actively attacking a lot
Probably user error, will get an orian's and try again.
Could also be rare packs pouncing then DoT'ing so I'm not really seeing the true source of death, just the last tick of it.
shame. how much build variety is there for spellblade atm? I see endless people talk about sorc, ofc, and I played a "wild magic" runemaster last cycle (random runebolt casting abilties of bar + invocation for tp) but want to mix it up
Spellblade has a few viable builds, I think shatter strike and flame reave are both good, and I'm sure there's other kinds of builds that I don't know about
