How often does the "gravity guile" node from Black Hole deal damage? It's a physical hit, so it should be able to crit and cast meteor, but I can't find info on how often it triggers. If it's only like 1 hit a second it's useless, but if it's 10 it might be useful

Disintegrate's Infernal Ray node converts lightning damage into fire damage and it loses the lightning tag. I noticed if I have flat spell lightning damage on an idol, it still increases Disintegrate's damage. I thought that losing the lightning tag means it does not scale off of lightning anymore.
does that mean FLAT lightning damage is converted to fire, then added? where as INCREASED lightning damage does not convert to fire and increase?
Flat spell damage gets added regardless of the spells base type. It's not converted though

Yes, but obv it will not scale from Inc fire which you'll want to have for fire skills

so uh , you cant slam non-mage bodies onto say, an unstable core, because the unstable core is a mage body type item.
but if you look at the peak of the mountain everyone can use it, and so slam bases from all classes are considered valid... tier7 mana is cheap on the bazaar, cheap enough to manually add tier5 mana to go along with it
obvs dual exalt would be nice but they dont exist yet

it's not intended at all. If you slam any other character skill prefix for example, you wont be able to use it
but i assume they somehow treat %mana as a generic prefixes, but only allow it to spawn on rogue chest'/head

you cant do non-mage exalt bases on an unstable core and cannot do %mana on chest because of it, but if you had a unique chest that was not class-specific I suspect you could.

where do you get that affix increased mana?
I went to the bazaar, searched for tier 7 mana% exalted hats, they're cheap. The class restriction on the hat does not matter.
Then I manually added tier 5 flat mana increase to it as well.
Then I rerolled with rune of refinement until I got a perfect or nearly perfect set of rolls on those two affixes.
Then I slammed it and can equip it as a mage and it does work

Yeah that's definitely painful... I usually wait a while before slamming so I can spam the dungeon and slam items for a while... so that if a few fail, I got more "chances" as so not to be discouraged from trying 😛

these are so expensive that its definitely an attempt 1 at a time thing for me. I am only able to attempt these through indirect methods like sniping a low priced LP0 and nemesis upgrading it hoping for LP. Thats how I got the LP2

Got a crest of unity (playing tri nova build) all of sudden my novas are no longer igniting (I have both fire nova ignite and all nova ignite node just to be sure)... Googling shows that there are a quite a few threads saying the tri ele nova is neither of the nova and does not benefit from the some of the nodes.. Has this been fixed or do I need to re equip gear etc. For it to work properly? (rune master)

So if you have 60 flat damage, each element will get 20 flat damage, increased by 5% for 21 each or 63 total.

not many easy ways, a stormcarved relic will give you a little bit (6). a grimoire will giv eyou a lot when using a potion

Sets are used for when you somehow beat all odds and get the most sucky magic-rare gear that even sets become competitive for you build.
unfortunately its kinda bad, but I believe they have plans for what they want to do with sets eventually so that set items are more interesting

i guess i'm confused because in the max roll guides and others some say the spell crit tooltip is inaccurate.. and they dont have any crit chance rolls on gear
glacier is different coz you get base crit chance in the tree
you have to manually calculate it. you can use letools to help you thoughs
oh ok
but like, if you have a 6% crystal skull you probably are crit capped. you can test in arena dummy and look for white numbers
glacier pretty easy to crit cap coz you get 8% for 'free', 12 if you need it
so to calculate it, 5 base + 6 (crystal skull) + 8 (glacier tree) = 19. with the 19 value, you do 0.19 multiplied by the rest of your non base crit chances (le tools adds this up for you), say it's usually around 400 for standard sorc build. (0.19 * 400) + 19 = total crit chance for glacier
glacier is one of the few skill that has a detailed DPS calculator in LETool
use that

I managed to kill t4 julra once in 1 combo, before swap. Tried a few more times but I just get her to 25% ward toggle mostly
But I just farmed 4 lagon relics with 1 lp and 4 tri necks with 1/2 lp so I need to get on a slamming session, only have 1300 mana unbuffed
for a spark charge spellblade would a t2 crit multiplier be better or about the same dps as a t5 lightning damage? My first time trying to slam a couple LP1 Dragorath claw's and got those as the extra affix.

make sure your FC has at least 40 manacost
your wrongwarp need to have exactly -3 manacost in order for FC to have 40 manacost, even -4 will break it
then you shouldnt have any problem with damage at 290c

-4 mana cost wrongwarp will nullify Arcane Current for your FC. Ladle is better for FC, wrongwarp better for orb

seems natural if you know anything about LE and its developers, this was probably never tested a single time. Like they assumed that it works with capped endurance and then they assumed that the build will not be broken and then just shipped it live. Admittedly we also "test" sh it about as rigorously at my job

they don't care about the integrity of the ladder so if somebody manages to get in on the bugged build, they won't nullify their run. At least it will have a timestamp so after excessive amounts of sleuthing you'll be able to decide that it was probably on a bugged build. It will still be up there in the ladder though
The problem here is that once you run out of mana you just die, and you cannot regenerate your mana pool in any reasonable manner while still casting disintegrate
Then again I don't think anybody had pushed it beyond theorycrafting, so you can be the first one to try it

100% damage to mana just means you turn your mana into another health bar
so you're basically using a single pool of resource for both your DPS and survivability

Did anyone else follow the maxbuild Glacier sorc and run into difficulty around 150 corruption levels? My stats are 850 mana 65 spell crit (was 75 but lost some for defensive stats) 960 health with static 2.4k ward. Got the head/wand/chest/belt and boots legendaries as suggested and all off pieces are exalted. But im having such a hard time with bosses running oom and just getting nuked by stuff. I thought my gear was in a pretty good spot.. I was aiming for teh 1k mana and 100%crit chance but im finding it near impossible with the drops im getting and having to sacrifice too much mana/survivability for offensive stats

In an ideal world yes, but different multiplicatives have different costs and availabilities, so a "perfectly" optimized build won't have it all equal. That said, I have no idea if the maxroll one is optimized (probably safe to assume it's not).
Also remember that more small "More" bonuses are better than one large "More" bonus. Two 50% More modifiers is better than a single 100% more modifier.
There is always an opportunity cost. Optimized for what; damage, tankiness, speed overall? For that specific build guide, @quick garnet could answer.
And for the statement that its safe to assume it's not, i would be on the other side of that statement. I can personally say that my guides on Maxroll are optimized for their purpose, and a lot of work goes into it.
I don't mean it as a dig at you or any of the maxroll folks, it's just always the safe option to assume and do the calculations yourself (for those that know how to), especially when you are trying to optimize off of what items you actually have

Thing is, you need to think about many different factors. Physical benefits more from armor shred. Lightning has access to Shock which reduces lightning res. What type of Shred are you applying (cold, lightning, phys, etc)

I know I could have a theoretical LP2 unstable core with mana and glacier levels slammed onto it, and for that purpose I keep buying cheap LP0 unstable cores and rolling them in the nemesis machine.
Likewise with the same upgrade method I could probably get a LP2 wrongwarp slammed correctly.
I am not pursuing red rings unless the price goes way down and that would require a full build rebuild to get over 180 stats.
My relic could be better but cast speed exalt warding scrolls dont exist.

you should use a good loot filter (I can share a good one)
then through normal play you should find items worth 100million to 1 billion gold semi regularly because of how inflated the market is
then you can turn around and buy cheap (2mil?) items for gambling to make ultimate gear for cheap
its bad and everything but the end result is kinda fun, one good sale can fund 100+ attempts at making something good
like you can buy LP0 uniques and gamble them in the nemesis machine to add legendary potential to them.

the build comes online more and more as your gear gets to high levels. think about how a percent of your mana back per crit might be good when you have 100% crit rate.
really feel like m meteor damage is low in echoes
my glacier costs 46 mana to cast but I have 1600 mana. glacier hits 3 times, and for me it always crits. if I hit one enemy (like a boss) and all 3 hits land, I will get 16 * 3 = 48 mana back. other passives add to this efficiency so the reality is I am already gaining mana back as long as I'm hitting 1 target.
So what stats on the gear to get crit cap.
if I am hitting 2 or more targets then it rapidly refills my mana. for mapping where there are chunks of enemies I can just spam off 4-5 glaciers into a pack and move on. I am at about 600 corruption and just blasting through things.
and for bossing I am finally at the point where I can roll all my buffs, then stand still and hold the glacier button down (with +300% ish cast speed bonus) and not run out of mana
so the loot filter is something I got from another discord server called the sanctum market. you can find them with google.
Im still doin monolith quest. So loot filter maybe need for high end game mechanic?
the strategy is to buy uniques with 0 legendary potential, but that have good rolled stats on the variable stats which matter to you, and also a good low price.
then you take these uniques to a nemesis machine and if you get an egg, you can replace the egg with a unique of your choosing.
then you can empower the machine a couple times and add random positive effects to that unique item.
sometimes it will slam random stats onto the gear, but what you are aiming for is that it can instead add between 1-4 legendary potential to an item that used to have none.
so with this mechanic you can buy something for 2million and then gamble it into something "worth" 100s of millions to billions of gold, and attempt to get the stats you want on that, with it being much cheaper per attempt at god gear.

nemesis can spawn in campaign or in dungeons or in monoliths, but it isnt guaranteed
also I dont have any confirmation of this but me and my friends think the nemesis machine works a little better on higher corruption levels

ya well this is one of the several ways you can take advantage of the new cycle mechanic and profit.
if you find a good item yourself that is LP0 you can gamble it to raise it to higher LP and sell it for a high value.
if you are seeking your ideal gear you can buy stuff off the bazaar for gambling with upgrades but the result will be bound and not sellable.
So first maybe complete all monolith quest the farm gear at higher corruption ?
its not either or, tbh you do both at once. if you are early in the game you dont need to worry about the potential benefits to nemesis machine at higher corruption
anything will do. you can get really lucky. like my friend for instance took an LP0 item to LP4 and then sold it for 1 billion gold lmao.

uh I mean, you also have to gamble in the process of making exalted items for slam bases, then you also have to gamble when slamming those exalted items into uniques.
so by doing what I am suggesting it is like 2-3 layers of gambling you need to be successful with for the best outcomes

but, again, I have made god gear and I did it for 100s of millions of gold instead of doing it for 10s of billions of gold. my graveyard of failed items in my stash is worth billions and billions of gold if I had actually bought them with the LP they ended up with.
the nemesis machine only works with unique items, and only ones with 0 LP and with nothing slammed on them already. yes it is gambling trying to get LP, especially high LP on an item this way. But if it's 300 million gold for a poorly rolled LP1 of something and it's 30 million gold for a well rolled LP0 of something can you start to see the logic?

I am sure you can find people who explain it either on youtube or on this discord, but I kinda already explained it. Find nemesis machines until you find one that has an egg. Replace the egg with a LP0 you want to gamble with. Empower, fight the guy. Find another machine. Empower and fight him again. Find another machine. Challenge, kill him, and claim your rewards.
You can empower twice and each time has a chance to do something beneficial to each of the four items shown in the screen.
So you might empower once and see an LP1, and then empower again and get lucky enough to get boosted further to LP2, 3, or 4.
You can also just hit the jackpot and empower once and hit an LP4 I think. But yeah
Oh the last part is challenge him to get the item back.
you'll have to kill him a few times per item you attempt to upgrade in this way.
also if you kill him but you die, and the loot is left on the ground, you'll respawn and it'll all be gone. even if you are playing coop.
so, yes, eventually its better to do this on high corruption but consider the added risk of dying and losing your items. You want to be at a safe enough corruption level that you can guarantee you're not risking your items

Idk if it has been tested yet but you could try to wait until it has a weaver item in it and an egg to empower. I don’t know if the nemesis will empower the weaver item in it so this could lead to more chances of empowerment.

dunno if you got an answer on this but man, this is amazing for a wrongwarp build imo, you get a ton of movespeed that will boost all your damage AND mana AND crit chance, also immune to slow is a nice bonus since your dmg is tied to your movespeed. I'd use it right away in my build.

that's quite good to know, it means cheap architect prophecies that give you like 4 uniques on kill are extremely worth
take about 1 min for this much loot, much better than mono prophecies
you can take whatever comes up instead of rerolling endlessly, which is the main takeaway. the dungeon ones are pretty easy to proc in general
and you dont have to worry about it not being in your 1000 corruption timeline coz the drops will be the same
they are but doing dungeon seems like a waste of time to me unless you need one of the uniques from the boss, or need to upgrade a unique to legendary
the end boss timeline ones used to be kinda bad to take if they weren't in your normal timeline, but now you can just envy your way to the boss quickly, so those are ok now too
I still think it's quite slow, I'm doing them all for the harbingers and my god it feels bad when you're doing one you don't care about (no blessing to aim for, no boss unique you want, and no special monos giving items you want)
got my first near perfect (albeit 0 LP) heart though, that feels good. In the egg it'll go
doing them for the harbingers is slow coz you start at 100 and the stability moves super slow at that corruption. you have to make your way to the the shade at least once to get your catchup to work.

no, cast speed does not increase disintegrate damage. It only makes the cast animation faster so you have to wait less time for the first tick of dmg to happen

was going for flamereave only build with 4s cooldown mana strike for mana
All boneclamor helm lol, plus about 200% nec resistance, cycle starting was a bit painful, but as soon as I got a Jasper + the helm it was very fast climb. It also gives int + dex so that's nice.

Yea the only ladle I got was from a nemesis, He got it to 2LP and I proceeded to lost it cuz of the Toxin pool after he dead.
I'm really struggling with the Abberoth fight on Spellblade. I'm easily clearing 400-500 corruption, but - particularly that last chunk - keeps getting me when the arena shrinks and it's difficult to stand still long enough to hit him to generate ward. My current stats are 1077 health, but with 3.2k resting ward, 50% damage reduction from armor (before buffs from teleport, all resistances capped at 75%, 544% ward retention, 50% cooldown reduction for permanent uptime on Enchant Weapon, 135 intelligence.
Im running a variation of the Spark Charge build and am pretty solid on damage.. sacrificing any more to improve survivability further just drags the fight out even longer.
Are there any current Spellblade builds that do decently against Abberoth that aren't also just using melee attacks as a means of casting spells (i.e. a true melee-based build rather than spark charge battery)?
Edit: I'm also bonus crit damage reduction capped.
its weird for me when i tested it too, it appears to work for meteor but not static orb. didnt test glacier properly because 8% from the tree and i didnt want to respec.

The problem with sets is that they're kind of boring for the endgame. Once you get your Vilatria set with decent rolls, the chase is kind of over. Your weapon and helmet slots are filled and you don't have anything to do for those slots except get slightly better rolls maybe.
I'm looking forward to whatever they're cooking up to improve them in the future. Legendary Potential was a genre altering addition

Grimdawn has a pretty sweet spot with sets if you ask me
sets are basically the grim dawn end-game for a lot of builds, but they're considered the same as uniques

That's just a generic problem of set items in general, in any game. They are fixed BIS items for multiple slots in your build. And in LE they already have a much better system in legendaries, I fail to see a reason to even have sets as an item category here. They are doing the same thing but worse.

I like them from a thematic perspective, and don't really mind needing to equip multiple pieces to get even more powerful/specific effects. I just wish you could have LP on set items so that there was a way to improve them with the really important affixes that you can get for your build.

Dagaroth dagger is really good as a general weapon: It's got flat crit, flat spell, all resists and crit multi. If you don't have anything better then it's a good option.
Also using it on a melee attack makes sense because you can use melee to proc frost claw, which can crit and proc the effect of Dagorath's

Sorc got major revamps in their passive tree. The Spark Charge version really only works in sorc. And the Frostbite one is also better. RM also got some pretty siginficant nerfs in 1.1
That being said, RM is still really strong, but I don't know/can't receommend any guides for leveling or playing one as I I haven't done it this season

Once you get used to it, you can rush the Campaign pretty quick. I got to Monos in about 6ish hours the other day on a new character

Anathor thing to take note of is that you can swap out frost claw for just speccing teleport or surge instead, it'll make your mana economy a little better in exchange for worse sustained ward but it's not a big deal tbh. I might actually change the guide to spec teleport
