i just test it 3 lich boss, 0 unique drop 3 times in a row
it wass suppose to be 100% chance to get either amulet or the boots
some bug fixes and some new bugs and kept most of the old bugs π
Are you tping before accepting blessing
I ran one late yesterday and got boots/chest/helm. The Core o/ Mountain chest has been a 1 in 5-8 drop for me so Im not necessarily convinced something is different in drops for arbor
idk about arbor never tested my self since last patch, but alot of people complain on world chat like since last patch
I don't get it, how can lightning blast cast from frost claw / drag claw be so good, and lightning blast cast from static so bad.
not using the tree it seems
also ur casting like 1 lightning blast
or just casts 1
1 single chain..
and the range is up close
while frost claw proc LB off screens with full tree
Glad I'm not playing no more
3x second π
Every patch is just more and more bugs and the performance is worse and worse
π
I am down to use 3 skills on sorcerer now, fire ball, teleport and flame ward
rest just seems like a waste of cast time, rather just cast fire balls π
lets see if I can fit AA back in
AA casts LB with full tree
i wouldnt bother w that path
try acuity and get it fully specced
should be able to maintain 100% uptime of aa
w/o the drain
i think
that+ more damage on slow and all the cast speed stuff/mana reduction/mana on kill
LOL
I have some mana sustain issues with AA
i know this sounds stupid
but sorcerer should have what warlock has
in regards to overload...
what sorcerer really needs is devs attention, class is same since 0.7
thats what i am sayin
How does warlock have more fire support
than the actual class that uses meteor lmao
the runemaster class passives are just straight up better...
you have the staff that converts meteor to lightning lol
One burst of fire ball at 4 mana cost, does more aoe damage than meteor at 197 mana
I really enjoy sorcerer and am trying to build one that has 2 damage skills, one spamming fire ball and one big bang nuke. So far I have not been sucessful. My low cost spam skill always outperforms my big nuke
meteor sounds inane but lack lsutre
true
but idk man I feel like warlock just does so much more dmg
Use frost claw and everything is fine π
meteor dps tooltip does not assume all 6 metoers hit same target
I think the solution to fix sorcerer is nerf frost claw, fire ball, elemental nova and lightning blast, so they do 1/10th of the damage. That way the other skills will be much more attractive
thats too aggresive nerf, company needs to consider the sponsors who created uniques for elemental nova
like when poe nerfed exalts they created another card for brothers stash
My view will never be to nerf. having lived thru too many of blizzard's balancing changes, nerfing things to make other things viable is sht design lol
nerfing things only makes sense in competitive games
exactly.
This is an ARPG, you are supposed to be batshgit op
The reality is not that Runemaster is SUPER STRONG
but the other two classes are weak and not interestring
weak? yes. uninteresting? π π€ enough
π π
LMAO
Should have been a feature so give up a spec slot and just get a flat stat boost. Having to pick the least worst skill to spec is hard than I thought. Down to snap freeze for more armor now π
Some general all class passive skills you could spec
Just need to have one node in the tree, +int
anyone have an idea on how invo chooses the rune for a multi-ele ability?
i fkn cannot for the life of me remember how
When will new cycle start?
early juneish
oof I thought somewhere next month, guess I'll need to play again while waiting lol
yeah they've pretty consistently said 3-4 months, but there's a very large likelihood they are leaning towards 4
which would put us in june
I have lil hopes even for 4 months, the amount of bugs they have that actually hinder or overpower skills is absurd
is only runemaster worth playing
ok but only this 1 bugged build i saw in a youtube vid is viable and everything else is bad
depends on your definition of bad, if doing 600-1k corruption with bis gear is bad then yes
i am having a problem. my rune invocation only is creating one rune not the 3 it is suposed to
can some one plzzzz help
which build is bugged
you're using one of the shtty unique idols. take it off.
also runic invocation isnt supposed to create 3 runes? why would it?
u create runes by casting spells not by casting invocation
well i thought so initially but the idol u talking abt i think limits only to 2 runes not 1
there's 3 idols
iirc
or 2.
and either of them restricts the max amount of runes
unvar's rise
yes it restricts to 2 runes
oh i never got this one
@fluid topaz sorry, saw you were talking about a build involving Harbinger of Stars and was wondering what you're doing to recoup mana? I have a build going but it needs more fuel for the meteors
mana strike
are you doing a mix of lightning and fire damage in your build, then? or did you convert meteor to lightning
lightning
hmmm. feels like they fixed the bugged never late 5/5 passive. I'm definitely not 100% critting anymore with spark charges - at least, its not as consistent as before. weird.
(this was a joke btw i take off-meta builds to 1k for fun)
go push my disintegrate build to 1k.
its capable. you just need waaaaaay more min max than i already have
i wish i could do channeled skills but they're just so zzzz to me
gotta go fast brain
do people actually use static w/ shell?
why is mad alchemist's ladle so hard to see? Only going for rune prison to loot but never drops
any tips for Mad archemist's ladle?
Is T7 int instead of +FC on heart ok?
its better depending on type of spark charge you are
you only use +fc to get enough mana reduction to maintain the fc spam
but if u can already do that then its generally useless in most cases
Theoretically at the sacrifice of less chance to trigger elemental nova (if you use it in the first place), you don't need +fc at all
I think at this point way too many people tried to do something that's just not possible
Wait for new cycle, and pray they look at old classes
The spell provides nearly no utility, no buffs, and the base DMG is so dog it's funny
Be MG and buy one
so what 4 affixes should i put on an amulet im slamming into a 1 lp omnis?
It literally doesnt matter because you clearly will only want one of them right?
i mean i dont wanna waste the 1 lp omnis so like whatever is best even if its t5
I mean itβs either gonna hit your t6/t7 or it wont lmao. So just put whatever you think is best
No memes either
Not tryna be a dck but this is how i started approaching 1 LP items
Either i get my slam or i dont
i was going with crit multi, spell crit, frailty on hit and 1 resistence
Thereβs your answer then
Gl may the odds be ever in your favor
Imo. Omnis feels like a turbo bait item
yeah no i understand but since i got this lucky might as well get a good affix on it even if t5
Yeah this exact feeling is why i started hating uber rare 1-2 LPs
Id rather just use a 5 stat exalt lol
I am usually lucky on slams tbh so I canβt complain, but yeah 1-2 lp are scary
I generally ignore them
wb 2
But on an omnis with 33 crit and good res Iβm not gonna complain tbh lol
Just get 4LP. Ez gaem
Skill issue
Has anyone tried making an elemental nova centered build? Not like frost claw into elemental nova, but Primary Elemental nova?
I think Nova is to hard on systems lol.
But I have tried a Nova centered build. I'm not a content creator or top build maker so it definitely wasn't viable for long π
Yeah I've heard some people say it's rough on their systems when I run my frostclaw nova build, but I'm just bored of seeing the frostclaws... I'm gonna try the disintegrate build soon. I'd love if a unique came out that allowed runebolt to proc off elemental nova
Tried it. Nova sucked by itself
its doable
its prob 3rd best build or 4th alongside frostbite/cold crit
but it'll just be worst than frostclaw nova
cause you're just casting less novas
I got stuck in chapter 3 when you need to fetch the second stone to open the bridge to next location, no quest mark. This happened after I got the stone opened the bridge and entered next location but got crashed before activating the portal. Help please
@topaz blade maybe here could help you
possibly
what main skill you using?
Shatterstrike // firebrand
and youre surviving with ward?
yeah
My skillset rn is
Flame ward , Enchant Weapon , Fire Brand , Focus , Shatter Strike
i feel like my damage fell off.
oh man...my skills are different xD
Firebrand ?
Yeah
Why ?
well it stacks attack speed
I am a bit confused by the Firebrand / ShatterStrike combination
Open the skills and check a upgrade called Incineration
each 1 stack is 20% damage buff
and it multiplies with enchant weapon
with mage builds do you go low life or is ward truly an extra def layer on top of health
So you stack Firebrands and then consume with Shatter Strike ?
?
yeah thats my main boss damage
isnt that used with flame reave
Usually yes
well im new to the game so i dont really know what im upgrading just a vague idea
trying to make it work
idk i just read the skill upgrade and applied it
it sais it "multiplitacive with other modifiers"
I dont understand what get Multiplied
i thought u were using firebrand to make shatter strike hit more often
i use shatter strike as a main attack
i use firebrand to get more damage usually used for bosses
well it will make one attack have more damage after firebrand
yeah i keep using firebrand and shatterstrike
i stack firebrand 6 times then use shatter strike and repeat
well im also relatively new...but you are using a cold skill with a fire skill
which means youre not stacking one element on your items
unless you are stacking just cold damage?
π€
yeah that is okay but normally shatterstrike is a skill meant to be spammed
i dont know π
yeah i do spam it
but not on bosses
i usually stack it up with firebrand
meaning it has lower damage individually, thats why firebrand usually is with flame reave, cause its a skill that already has a big damage
so should i switch shatterstrike with flame reave?
Ty π
depends on how you feel like xD if you go firebrand, then youll probably have to play flame reave, if you go shatter strike...idk that build but it can be pretty strong ( i think i saw one build that just freezes the enemies constantly)
really depends on what u enjoy. if its okay for you to look at youtube builds for spell blade then thats fine too, it might give you ideas on where to take your build. important is youre enjoying your time learning the class and experimenting.
just know that firebrand works well with flame reave.
also stack damage on your items.
shatterstrike generally fares much better down the line
flamereave spellblade not lookin too good rn
so are channeled attacks considered "Damage over time" for the purposes of affixes?
I dont think so?
I think every tick of damage from channeled attack is the same as damage from normal spell
Oh I think that's just specifically disintegrate that gets considered dot
eh, no??
every dmg type has its own type of DOT
for example cold has frostbite
and physical has bleed
the spell must specifically state that it can apply said DOT dmg tho
Well I know disintegrate has the DOT tag and also hasn't been applying any of the on hit effects with ladle
@barren pawn i summon thee to explain
ironically its his build im running with atm
I was summoned
No, disintegrate cannot proc on hit effects
ladle is not BiS
theres a reason i run a crystal wand
despite having a 4lp ladle
so my disentegrate shows that its estimating about 53k per second in damage, but im only seeing less than a thousand on the ticks...
no, anything that hits isnt a dot, anything that has a dot tag is a dot
do u know how tooltip works?
it doesnt count enemy damage reduction which is 87% as well as includes thingas like dps ailmentsand cast speed, which do not affect disintegrate in any way
so do the dummies in the training arena have resistances at all?
depends which dummy
also enemies have 0 resists by default
some enemies have some types of resists but main thing that enemies have iis damage reduction that depends on area lvl and caps at 100
DR =/= resist
overall forget about tooltip in this game if u dont know how dps calculation work itll only confuse u and if you know how dmg mechanics work u dont need dps tooltip at that point which makes it completely useless
we had new players coming in for YEARS asking abt these things and i have no clue why ehg even added this thing in the game in current state, people cried that there was no dps tooltip before now people are confused cause in some cases nobody even knows how it works or what those numbers mean...even devs or veteran players themselves
so what is your skill rotation when running your disentegrate build? Teleport, Glyph, and Disentegrate until out of mana then focus?
It's basically the only way to do it
Do it until you have to move, are out of mana, or everything is dead
Is it worth having flame shield on autocast?
No.
no its not?
you dont even need glyph outside of bossing, or reeeeally beefy elites / mages
if you pla yit right you rearely ever run out of mana unless bossing
Well, I assumed we were talking bossing. Otherwise, how do you run out mana?
should i switch from frostclaw to sparkchartge?
...do you want to ?
Frost claw is currently the best build there is
Why would you want to change except for experience of something else?
why would you want to change except for (the reason anyone changes anything)
i see
whats better for frostclaw? cold dmg over time or frostbite chanc
frostbite FC
There are two schools of FC build
One is frostbite and one is electric build
Just decide whats more enjoyable for you
binaQC has best so far build for frostbite version
And FrozenSentinel has best electric build
Just YouTube search for it
the slam failed
its Joever
time to grind two weeks again
What failed?
You can use 0LP items for frostbite fairly easily up until 800-1000 corruption I believe
snowblind 2lp
probably I just wanted to use something cool
i still have frey to slam
Dont worry, I failed 2LP vial of volatile ice today
And dropped 3LP vial 30 minutes later
RNG gives and takes
Flow of life and stuff
Bro I dropped two 2 lp items that are good for my build but now I cant find the exalted
Average ARPG experience
anyone knows if the Never Late 5/8 still persists forever? tried it out but it seems like the buff fades immediately
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwRjE5iA
Does anyone see this im as a valid flame reaver build, I've been using it for 85 t0 90 cuz in slow
are you solely using flame reave/firebrand? or are they triggering a spell somehow? cuz if not itd be really hard for me to justify using this over well-rolled crustal swords. Maybe if you wanted to lean into block as a defensive aspect? but mage doesnt really have much block support, alas.
basically I think its fine, especially pre-empowered monos, but I at least would want to transition to good exalted crystal swords eventually (or maybe a pair of bee swords if i wanted to lean hard into ward)
hey ya'll, i been messing aroudn with a fireball build. is there anyhting that can help it feel smoother or autocast otehr than frost wall?
unfortunately no, i think most of us tried and failed lol
it's decent and most importantly it isnt frost claw lol
i been going a full fire build with fireball, ffrost(fire)wall and fulll fire runebolt. is frost claw just better to replace one of those?
if you dont care about using frost claw then yes, you can find many alternative
lightning or ice frost claw are better then fire claw but there are builds out there using fire
yeah i did kinda feel that. throwing down firewall and having the runebolts fire everywhere means manually casting fireball sint really necesary
still fun though
tbh the cycle is close to an end, 1-2 months max so you might as well do it for fun
true true
this looks actually fun, infinite fireballs xD
yeah theres fire stuff all over the screen. cinder song makes it extra nice
In terms of frostbite build, I wouldn't consider a snowblind unless it was at minimum 3lp max roll or 4LP with decent rolls
Unfortunately it gets outclassed too hard by 2 "normal" helmets
Personally, Runed Visage is the top pick if you want my honest opinion, but you can also use the one that gives %max mana

Doing 3k 300 corruption with this

Spellblade leaderboards full of fraudulent builds
What makes those fraudulent ? (Asking for friend) π I do have spellblade work in progress.
the top 3 are runemaster builds in the guise of spellblade
they specced into non-spellblade spells
By default I guess that makes me the rank 1 spellblade
BiS is a whole bunch of LP4 uniques
Im thinking of Bloody Nib variant but im worried about survival and ability to push corruption.
I dont like bloody nib because it makes you way too squishy
past 300 corr you are getting one shot

Thank you! CoF or MG ? 3LP exsang makes me squirt, lol
I'm in MG, the 3LP exsang was a very lucky drop
the rest was bought off AH though
Sweet build. Apogee is better than well rolled crystal sword ?
Apogee is only better than crystal sword when you have high roll 2LP + T7 exalted affix on it
otherwise no
there's around a 10% dmg difference between a min maxed crystal sword and a min maxed apogee
Makes sense. Can make use of Apogees freezing talent ? Keepers gloves would spawn bees all the time, lol
I'm pretty sure bees do count as minions, but keepers glove really isn't that optimal π
Bees are not minions ? 4LP keepers, imagine the possibilities π
trying to upgrade armor blessing such pain
45/55, fight 20 boss, armor only appear 3 times, and all of them lower lol
Such be RNG
I killed the frost lich like 400 times at this point
Still only 89% sceptre drop rate
That 1% will haunt me forever
Aint there a good lightning sorcerer specc around without manaproblems? π¦
playing a runemaster and i think some of my invocations sometimes cast twice, what exactly is doing that? I feel like i missed something because i have no idea how it happens lol
Copied Scrolls node, bottom left part of the Runic Invocation node tree. Just above the Arcane Battery one
OHHH
dude i completely misunderstood it
Lightning fireball has no mana problems
or just lightning blast
i'm working on the same build atm can let you know when I finish it
Lightning blast uses 0 mana if you have a wand that has the - mana cost implicit
Yea I took a lightning blast ssf to 1k with it at 0 mana cost its perfect viable
I am testing out using lightning blast as single target damage with convergence and fireball/lighting as aoe and mana generator. Casting Meteor also to sustain mana
Just using the free chain node and spark charges w/ enigma and its fine on both aoe and ST
Need to really pump cast speed tho. After a teleport I was at over 300 cast speed
This is odd, I have faster clear with lb, using convergence/single target at 800 monos, than using chains...
what else did I change...
My problem with LB was having to choose aoe or single target
but it kind of works with convergence
The ST wasn't terrible for me tbh
I had a 2.2s teleport w/ frenzy boots and put spark charge on nova teleport
Quad cast with 320 cast speed
Was not breaking any records but it was good enough
you're dumping chain reaction into a singular target
that gets ALL of the applications of charge/nova
Tested it on a boss now, was way better single target damage than fireball
yeah
so going with LB for that and fireball for clear
i saw this coming, just never thought to test it on Sorc
but w/ meteor it eliminates the mana issue entirely
but w/ you having figured out chain reaction, the AOE is covered
It was frost claw level of single target damage π
oooowee
considering teh ward yo uwere generating
you can likely drop wrongwarp
for something else.
Im playing Sorcerer and am leeching health or gaining health when I dont want to, I cant find the source of the health gain, any ideas?
Thats it, thanks! Guess i gotta pass on the pen
When you enable multiple nova elements do the nodes in them apply when another nova type is cast? Ie would a fire nova get bonus area from a lightning node like elemental expanse for example?
stun if u want some crowd control for bosses, shock if u want some extra dmg,
Hi. Cant see Never Late, Runemaster passive buff icon after adding 5th point, any idea why?
Oh lots of answers. Ty all.
To be more specific: I am using https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/static-orb-sorcerer-guide.
The orb is the main mana drain here. Guess that specc aint the best. π€
Insofar as messing with Sorc has gone, I kinda just stumbled into fireball spam
With meteor/flame ward/teleport/black hole (when I get it)
i need some general help, im following a guide for fireball/meteor Sorc and downloaded the relevant loot filter, the build is tied to a Build planner, however it doesn't really mention which attributes are most imporant, and since i'm still around 60s im unsure what attributes to prioritise in random drops
Can you link the planner?

im still quite noobish so i have no clue what priority on indiv pieces should be
Thatβs the build I found while looking for possible builds of the wand there
And from looking it up, Black Hole seems to absolutely suck?
Black Hole is pretty hard to get working. Meteor is hard to use as main damage skill, due to mana cost and low damage scaling.
I like the idea of using the wand to generate mana with fire balls and triggering meteors π
I just wanna spam fireballs while summoning meteors and binary stars
You can do just that and get to 600c comfortably, which is perfectly fine
Lv36 at the moment so I can replace my whiffed LP2 firestarter with the fireball wand soon enough
Iβd assume a fire focused exalted wand/sceptre would do far better
Or ladle yes
I do actually have a Mad Ladle
For my lich
Buuuut I got bored of them quite fast so I can just stash it over
Itβs LP 0 though so itβs on the block for replacement later
And by whiffed I mean one of the affixes it took was +% melee stun chance
The other one is an exalted +% elemental damage so at least that didnβt get wasted
I am going to try that crit on cast meteor build, it looks like it can be improved on quite a bit
from video it looks pretty good
heh ran out of mana in 5 sec
Yea thats always been the issue
does someone have an updated hydrahedron build?
Sorry for the Noobie question: I'm trying to get my Fireball to cost 0 mana. I have a wand -3 spell cost, the 3 points in "Mana Sphere" to reduce the cost of fireball by 3, but Fire Spray witch adds +5 for a net cost of 2 points per cast. Is there a way to remove those last 2 points? An item or something?
Cinder wand, foot mountain boots or a -5 spell cost scepter
in addition to the answer above, there is also firestarter's torch. Cinder Song will almost certainly be better, but theoretically you can slam -5 spell mana cost on the firestarter's torch for total -9 mana cost. Again, probably worse than Cinder Song, but it's the highest cost reduction you can get.
I tried replacing my Wrongwarp with Cinder Song, but lost so much damage. Started to struggle
Remind me again, what makes runemaster better than sorcerer. Trying to build fireballs on rm
I tried to make it work after the nerf but i gave up. Survivability is bad now. Unless you give up on QoL and start using Frostguard invocation all the time and add +1 to flameward affix onto chest. I wouldnt bother with it, there are better builds to grind with, unless its your fav build.
Much stronger passive tree
Better gear affixes
Way more ward
Cfc invocation
The list goes on and on
So basically runemaster has cfc shield, thats the main thing?
I forgot the list π and I played quite a bit of runemaster
idm since it would go on a for fun alt, i have a 3lp box that's why i wanted to try it
Nice box you have then π Good luck with the slam!
Hi champs. Can someone share their experience with me? Does Shattered Aegis notable in a spellblade tree gives you ward per second as basic arcane shield, or for every active shield up to 4?
Black Hole is a binary now and going for the boss/rare damage end is helping it with that niche i guess
how do u guys sustain direct cast frost claw?
i havent even taken all those left nodes and i cant keep up casting it
^ nevermind, made some tweaks. getting elemntal nova down to 0 cost and properly speccing into unsealed mana helped a lot. also switched to mad alchemist ladle from frozen ire...seems good for now
which Runic Invocation do u guys use?
Should be the latter
Ty my friend
You take immutable order on runic invocation and only use CFC invocation
Which one you taking for lightning FC? I like the explosion area but the loss of int π https://imgur.com/a/N9sIgPA
gotcha. is it just that teh CFC shield is just so much better than anyhting else it doesnt make sense to use anything else?
pretty much yes lol
Does Frost Claw buffs based on Freeze Rate still apply if element converted?
Tested my sorcerer fireball build on runemaster, same gear and similar skill setup. Guess which mastery was best?
Spellblade?
For sure Sorcerer
Anyone that can give me a bit of help with playing frostbite frostclaw rune master? I've been following the maxroll guide for it and im not ideally geared, but im level 60 and can't clear the first levels of mono's. I was able to clear them at level 55 on my falconer right after the campaign with the same gear i fought lagon with.
I recommend using ice barrage instead of flame rush spec until you get bare minimum gear and then spec back into flame rush/teleport once you have said gear, snap freeze won't be used until then
Order of importance, snowdrifts -> frostbite shackles -> twisted heart
If you use ice barrage as secondary dps spell you should have no trouble clearing baseline monoliths
I cleared them all before LVL 65
I follow that guide myself, tho I made some adjustments to it after I understood the inner workings
If you don't spec into frostclaw recasts until much much later, you should be fine on mana
With just a -3 spell cost from a wand base
^
i think frostbite chance only
frostbite and freeze rate are two different things
the node should state clearly
Frostbite does 36 dmg over 3 seconds, forst 30 stacks each givw 20% chance to freeze
So 600% total freeze chance at 30 stacks
Freeze rate multiplier refers to.FREEZE ailmrnt
so you have a base level.of freeze, that is multiplied
@plain glade
So imo its not the same as IGNITW
or SHOCK
Wat
Frostbite?
Iβm talking about the Ward per 40% freeze multiplier etc
nothing to do with frostbite
The base dmg doesn't affect the silment procced
No no
I mean
Thereβs a node that has +Ward for every 40% Freeze Multiplier
But if Iβve already converted it to fire, the base spell no longer freezes (since itβs not an ice spell)
no worries
if you press C it will show u on the others tab how much you have
but i think.only the % from items count not your base passives
but dont quote me on that

Yep. A fix not implementation. Wild that it was bugged
At least it isnt like the diablo team, who would flaunt it around as like a bit of seasonal content lmao
π
They had input buffering?
apparently, but it was bugged online and wasnt functional.
Suggestions for non-frost-claw runemaster builds?
Ignite Glyph of Dominion
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pli_42T2SMk trying elemental nova on runemaster
The problem I now have is that they have selective buffering for some reason
It won't let you buffer things that have the "same priority"
Like say a builder and a spender that happen to have the same priority
So you still have the same problem of janky inputs if you're holding right click to use your builder and tapping another key to use your spender, it won't buffer
You can hold right click and tap a defensive or movement skill and those will have higher "priority" and buffer
So the game is more responsive now in only certain cases
Have you tried runebolt instead of ele nova?
yes, elemental nova is better
Trying untable core and crest of unity now
Runemaster's Holwing Rift Node - the node that allows the frost wall to be moved. Is the wall's cooldown reset when it moves or does it count down from the previous wall?
Ele nova burns pc lol π€£ and server lag lol π€£ at least mine does haha
hi guys, question if anyone can answer: if my FC is lightning and I use a +spell cold damage idol how will this affect my FC?
Your fc will get flat cold damage ontop of its base lightning damage
The cold damage won't get converted, it'll just do both cold and lightning
thanks so much
i have a nasty level 84 flame reave spellblade build just getting my corr stacked what will my corr cap be before the toon falls off?
depends, some pushed 1k with flame reave
so hatd to int on this weaver will lol
is there an endgame viable build with meteor?
tp + meteor for mana generation but its not like optimal
it is, you cast teleport and due to a node in the skill the next skill you cast has its mana cost refunded
add that to the meteor mana back node and it generates mana
is runemaster just more fun to play? What build uses frost clawS? I heard they were OP.
fc is op but boring after a while
I know everyone has quit last epoch by this point until next seasons but I didn't even get to corruption levels lol. I jumped back inot PoE Necro league but got bored. It's just so tedious.
Fireball+meteor is pretty good
You get a free meteor every 4 sec from teleport, mana regen from fireball to cast some inbetween
I just got to corruption my g π
And nah having too much fun to quit. Itβs also my only ARPG though (Iβve only played D3 Reaper of Souls before this)
any old player knows this this still works ? https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/wBEX1j7Q

Does Infused Weapon (Spellblade Passive) affect Glamdring (Frostclaw Node) in any way?
Should yes
is shatterstrike execute treshold viable on bossess?
or is enchant weapon's conflagrate just better?
for runemaster which is more worth between vial and frey's retreat?
Hey all. I've been grinding days and days for a twisted heart for my frost claw build. And I've yet to find one with lp I need one with two. I mean 3-4 would be nice but that is never going to happen lol has anyone found one with 2 lp so far and how long did it take
2 LP is like dummy rare
0.65% chance to drop as a 2 LP before modifiers
Ugh ... So it ain't ever happen unt lol I've done it at like 450 corruption atleast 60-70 times
Iirc vial drops far more often with higher LP, not uncommon to see it with 3-4LP so would be easier to build with it, havent tried using Frey's so can't really comment, stopped using ice wall in favor of snap freeze too
2 of my first 4 Twisted hearts were 2LP. Ive had over 50 boss fights since then and Im probably seeing 1 out of 3 with a 1LP but no sign of a 2LP. The cool part about frost claw is that there are plenty of ways to play it and most people arent in a corruption level high enough to where they actually need a Twisted heart. Most dont need a slam on the TH either. Lightning is easier to gear than any of the other variations. Its all relative
My question is who actually cares about leaderboards? Im enjoying building and farming gear so much I havent thought to look at it and honestly have no idea how to access it. Its going to be a shame when all these "balance" nerfs happen at the end of the season and most of the players arent even concerned with relative performance. Is anyone actually excited about leaderboards?
I like them but want more single target bosses to really guage how good my build is
I would like to get a twisted heart with 2 lp. Want to push high just to limit test
I'm assuming the frost claw will be nerfed. I hope it doesn't get hit to hard because I love my build and I'm having so much fun. I think all builds should be strong. I don't think valence should come in unless PvP. And they only things that should be changed are the stuff that is weak. PvE doesn't matter about balence if they putting in PvP then yeah for sure π
It does matter, it's boring if everyone is playing the same class. parties will be composed of all the same builds. And trading will only be interesting for that one build.
Also someone who prefers to play melee or summoner shouldn't be forced to play a range build because that's the only viable one.
Yeah...Im not sure how many devs have actually played a FC build deep into corruption. Im only at 1.2k and it takes a lot of luck and rolls. Being CoF its been fun and honestly FC just has a high ceiling that will reward you if you get the gear. You absolutely hit a wall around 7-800 trying to balance cast speed and DPS/defenses. Most of the players who are running deep cor are just taking advantage of the Snap freeze duration that exceeds cooldown. I could see nerfing Snap Freeze but gutting FC would be silly since prob less than 1% of players will put in the 500 hrs to make a good one
is there any known way to make glyph of dominion into cold damage?
I already have like 120hrs into my frost claw build lol
Hello! I'm pretty new to mage and saw some really fun looking frost claw builds but it looks like all the best ones convert to lightning. Does anyone know if there is a frost claw build that stays using cold?
Frost Claw is the most fun Ive had in an ARPG ever. The more you play it the better it gets.
That doesnβt answer their question in the slightest lmao
If you're interested in a DOT frostbite frostclaw, search up BinaQc's build on Youtube, it's p nice if dot is your thing
I'm mostly interested in freezing things, but if the only way to do enough damage and get enough defense is a lightning build I would suck it up and do that. Can that frostbite build push corruption as well as the lightning builds? And thank you everyone for your answers and comments π
I just want to say that even though you didn't answer the question your enthusiasm is fun to see so thank you for your contribution βΊοΈ
what does retaliate mean for frostclaw's shiver shell node?
You get hit
Your mage auto casts frost claw at enemy
How smooth does Frost claw Mage play? I played 1 character so far and its an explosion trap blade dancer and it feels clunky if that makes sense. Looking to make a second character
i see, thanks
Oh I didnt realize I replied haha. Yeah Ive been lightning the whole time. im not sure on a build for the frost style, but I can say its more difficult to get the same speed vs fire or lightning. So you need lots of freeze and lots of DoT. You'll need more specific gear but if you get it right its very strong
I've been trying to make a brain dead "push button and win" build and I was doing werebear and feeling pretty good about it but man so far even just leveling frost claw mage is soooooo much more tanky
@halcyon dust does the build feel smooth thru ability rotation?
Well I'm only like level 30 and all I do is cast frost claw. I don't have any of the multicast skills yet. I wish there was a way to level alts faster
I usually reach chapter 4 then go straight into monoliths
Then around level 35 I set a loot filter for that character
Level 50 I just focus on upgrading gear and skills
Then around Level 60 breeze through the story to get CoF
Does anyone know if the frostbite frost claw build mentioned above can keep up with lightning frost claw builds?
has anyone compared core of the mountain vs static shell?
Depends on what 'high corruption' means for ya! I recco you check the video out for a better gauge. Maybe compare it with FrozenSentinel's lightning FC build to see how it compares! Both are great imo
And yes, with BinaQc's build almost everything is perma-frozen, including most bosses, if that's what you're going for.
I keep equipment for both lying around so i can switch it up whenever i want! Running around 7xx corr now with both easily, om sure i could push it even further (probs 1k?) and i'm far from BiS for both builds.
@proven haven is testing it now, core looks like the best choice tbh. The increased armor from static shell didnt apply to damage over time if i remember correctly.
Check out his YT channel, he prob has more info on it.
thanks, ive been watching his vids hahah, lots of good stuff there
you mean 6k?
i believe plenty of bladedancers pushed to 2k before the addition of runemaster which is when that build was nerfed heavily
Hey everyone, has anyone here actually seen a helmet they can show me with an exalted T6 or T7 "gain 20 mana from fireball" helment?
Will be interesting in next cycle, when they add a boss tier system, where I guess perma freeze/stun might not be possible. How different builds and masteries rank then.
I have one, looking at it now, but can't post screenshot
In the bazaar apparently they do exist. I've got 300 hours in the game and never seen a single one, which I find odd, plenty of "Fireball pierce" helmets, but never the mana gained from fireball one, it seems to be at least 10x more rare than fireball pierce
What are building to use fireball as mana generator?
I hope they fix timelock(void knight anomaly subskill) by then, it should not affect bosses but it does
anyone zooming to the other side of the screen when Flame Rush is just tapped at times?
heh crest of unity mess up runic invocations, you don't get random runes anymore, just 3 same combinations, all bad ones
Cast F/x/F changes order of elemental nova runes
From the good ones to the bad ones, and back
https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/elemental-nova-and-rune-generation/60524/3 how to optimize on this π
when i started playing i've noticed this for ele nova and runebolt, they both give the same 3 runes in sequence if they are tri elemental
i think it's not a bug
yes, there is a pattern to it and you can switch the order by using 2 type invocations
now to figure out to not end up in the bad rotation
bit tricky since the core thing with elemental nova is spamming super fast, hard to control order
grab the node that puts runic invocation as the first 3 skills on ur bar
you can push the CDR down pretty hard and still get to use the ability every couple of seconds
If ur running e-nova and runebolt u already have tons of dmg sources
I know, but trying to make a build around casting invocation and elemental novas and not locking in using that node.
i mean it's fun to cast random invocations xD
since it puts a big limit on use, both cooldown and bar skills
it is working pretty well, with random invocation, if I get the good order on it
3 good skills to pick, or the bad order has 3 bad skills π
hmm yea
exactly which invocation do you want to trigger everytime?
i feel like if you're running both enova and runebolt you want some survivability
im not sure what corr you're building for though
antipode (FLC), realm (LCF) and tide (CFL) thats the good ones
can anyone advise me on the best way to level as a runemaster? im reading a maxroll guide that says glacier but..looks kinda clunky
Haven't been able to work that in yet in a way that flows nice
Fair play, that's why i use the fixed set w/ cooldown
Cause you dont need to pop it every sec
And your cooldown is like what 8 seconds or smth? so u have the ward and damage reduction up all the time
It's SUPER strong
I know all that π
but im like you but opposite, havent messed around with many of the others
just grand prism nova
yeah, fair
I keep running into limit or bugs that kind of stops them from scaling
exploring runemaster is epic though, 40 invocations is nuts
hmm, thats unfortunate
Is frozen Ire inferior to Eye of Reen for shatterstrike.
so some of them just dont scale well and become weak?
despite being good early and mid game
Compared to frost claw most skills seem weak, especially the invocations
My elemental nova spam is stronger than all the invocations
ye unfortunately the nature of invocations makes it hard for it to out-dps
So it might just end up being CFC invocation and spamming novas
since u cant really spam it the same way
sad but thats usually what it becomes lmao
I can invoke every 1-2 seconds and sustain mana
Get ward from 3 diff rune invocations
have you messed around with hydra at all?
But the node that generates runic energy when runes chance is bugged...
:/
yes, I couldnt make hydra work well beyond 200c
yes, I use medium "tier" gear for everything
gotcha
if I have to run around in circle at 200corruption, I messed the build up
What is often anoying is that a skill that can be buildt for aoe and I get another one for single target. Then it turns out the single target outperforms the aoe skill...
The balance and gap between skills is huge
Or the aoe is better at single target
So most of my builds end up being only 1 damage skill
But for elemental nova invocation is promising since it also casts 3x elemental nova
and you get elemental novas on teleport
Can someone please explain this line from the spark charge guide on maxroll? "Flame Ward is a powerful Defensive Skill. The Damage Reduction it provides is incredible. You are extremely tanky while it's active and we can achieve 100% uptime with Frost Wall." The "Frost Wall" at the end there is blue like its a skill, but has no tooltip and doesnt link to anything, and this build doesnt use frost wall whatsoever. Ive looked up "100% flame ward uptime" and cant find anything.
here is the guide its from: https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/spark-charge-runemaster-guide#skills-header
I gave up and went with locked in CFC runes and just spamming elemental nova, too many restrictions and complications with actively using runes and casting
could be worse, it could have been spellblade
can someone suggest a good build for frostclaw runemaster, can i trust maxroll on this? :>
@subtle bobcat I have. A good one. The one in using is super good. I'm rolling through corruption 500 π
And my build is only like 60% done
And does anyone have a 2 lp twisted heart that they would be willing to trade
Direct casting Elemental nova is pretty fun, don't get the massive headaches when it is limited to where you aim, not fullscreen
That's an old guide
The ward node used to not have a cd at all
Coming from a really good setup for healing hands divine bolt pally, the need to constantly maintain flame ward manually is annoying
You dont need it constantly
Just when you're about to take a big hit you can't avoid or in danger etc
well the ward im getting so far sits at like 2k, vs the 25k average for the pally setup
HH divine bolts you feel like an impenetrable tank
My thrown together lb build just used twisted heart and I would reach 7-8k ward mapping and 10k in bosses
Went to 1k c
maybe its because im doing the spark charge melee build vs the meta frost claw builds
but i just dont have +3 or 4 frost claw relic to use and everything saysd you need that
ya it works with the mana strike melee node
You can just press lightning blast at 0 mana
And clear the screen
All the way to 1k
Maxroll moment #5,000,000
And does anyone have a 2 lp twisted heart that they would be willing to trade
All I got is 1LPs man sry
I would be down to trade for a 1 lp just need my plus to frost claw
you need ridiculous playtime together to even be able to trade it, you need obsidian resonance
unless u drop it while already playing together
wait yeah what i thought trading was impossible?
and the gifting feature im guessing is only if it drops and you give it to someone who was in the party at the time? im so sad i just startng cycle and i gave my friend Firestarter's Torch, wish i still had it to level my mage :x
you can give it to them if u played together when it dropped via ´´gift´´
yeah damn, i wonder, can she give it back if we left the game or is it bound now π¦
you can gift items that did not drop while playing together only if u have the corresponding resonance (gold or for any LP unique case Obsidian) but u need to play together a lot to get those to drop
so if u just wanna trade items, its adviced to find people to play together all the time for easier farming
can, but need resonance now
damn. a firestarters torch with low drop level is probably not even worth it then huh
but, i think you level RM with cold anyway
i dunno, i used mostly garbage with no idea what im doing π
cant even remember what spells i used, but it was glacier for the most part until monoliths
yeah i thought glacier looks clunky and awful but it one taps everything so, i'm ok with it
frostclaw as a leveling spell is just really terrible, its not useful until u lvl it up to like lvl 12-13 at least, u really need that gift of winter node maxed and a wand to bring the cost down enough to be able to spam it
you might even want to get like a hemophage sword or something on main, put some insane stats into it, and just transfer it for leveling
and just use mana strike
ok thats good to know
is glacier best in slot for leveling until late game, just having it specced and respec much later? the rm leveling guide said, you start w/ runeclaw when it's level 4 but yeah i also don't like the aim, it only hits that point whereas stuff like glacier or nova feel really 'easy'
That's the way I did it, I used glacier until I had skills LVL 15 or 16
It's just a 1 button delete
Lol I find them a lot with my one buddy lol and we don't play a ton
Anyone playing disintegrate? I made the switch yesterday after following the levelling build and it seriously feels like a downgrade
DPS is not as good as I expected and the lack of mobility is a huge pain in the ass. Does it get better at some point?
unfortunately, all the good channel skills are usually mobility or allow you to move while you channel, since Disintegrate keeps you at a standstill, it's always gonna feel bad to use.
any spellblade afficionados in here? have some questions regarding shatterstrike and frost claw
Where fire starter torch be at tho
Disintegrate will receive some kind of overhaul in the near future
Currently you need two specific uniques to make it work and thats kinda sad
And of them is not available any more π
Ask away
is it viable to use frostclaw as mana or should I swap out for mana strike?
on that topic, is there a shatter strike build that's viable? xD
Just Frostclaw is not enough
currently working on that lmao
so far 75k dps
Crit Shatter Strike reached 1k Corruption last patch
So I don't know how much you need for viable
thank you for the input vlad!
I'm trying not to look at build guides rn, a little challenge for myself so I don't get in the habit of relying on them to make fun builds

I'm top 1 leaderboard shatterstrike spellblade rn
You can check my build on lastepochtools
nice! I'm trying not to look at build guides rn, but when I feel I'm at a brick wall, I'll check it out!
also keep in mind that 1k corruption last patch is significantly easier than 1k corruption now
so that build's viability for 1k is questionable now
I reached 1k corruption with low life shatterstrike though
That's actually what I was planning on running!
What are the benefits of LL here?
you get some ward retention and ward generation in spellblade so it's better than life by quite a bit
the thing is, spellblade is already so squishy that you'd have to use ward to push higher
life in a bad spot rn
Yeah, regen seems pretty iffy too because of how much damage you'd be losing out on
this one i tried but it feels bad, mobbing is terrible but with fc and the node on the passive tree i was almost able to sustain shatter strike mana
Hey guys, i'm a lucky guy and I found 4LP Ladle. What are the best suffixes for FrostClaw Mage? Blind and shock on hit?
blind is trolling
light pen and stun
unless u are not playing spark charge, in that case dont use a laddle
why it is trolling?
because its not helpful
at all, all it does is reduce the chance of enemies critting u
would that not be helpful in higher cor
no, u want to have either 100% reduced bonus dmg taken from crits
or 100% crit avoidance
okay that would be better ... you are right
in both cases blind is useless
so crit avoidance on boots and chest?
What about chill on hit? I have a good slam with chill on hit
What is the difference between "Spell critical strike chance" and "critical strike chance"?
Spell crit only applies to spells, crit applies to everything
what about chill on hit? Sorry for all the questions π
nope, thats not good since you wanna use lightning frost claw not ice
you just need a t5 anyway so you can craft it easly, you want t7 prefix
Okay I have these Slams for a 4 LP Ladle:
- T7 Cast Speed - T5 Spell crit / T5 blind - T4 Stun
- T7 Crit multiplier - T5 Cast speed / T5 Stun - T5 Lightning pen
- T7 Cast Speed - T5 spell crit / T4 stun - T3 Lightning pen
- T7 Crit chance - T5 cast speed / T5 Stun - T5 Lightning pen
- T7 crit chance - T5 cast speed / T5 ignite - T5 Stun
I Think it doesnt matter that much that it Stun Chance isnt T5 on some slams?
Do I take one slam, or should I wait for another?
I wouldnt slam anything but a dual t7 into a 4lp ladle
7575 or something similar
or a t7 / t6
Yeah pretty much have 29 Forging left and Stun Chance is T6
Cast peed is 22%
Crit multi ist 83
Stun is 206
Pen ist 10%
something like that
yeah I loos around 30% cast speed
ye
^
Up to you, but option 3 definitely wins
hmmm π
t4 and t3 on a 4lp ladle seems like a waste
if you can forge it to 5 otherwise wait
That is non negotiable for that build
If you CoF just target prophecies for wands, if you're MG, just make that big investment into a perfect slam weapon
You already have the expensive part
Yeah and option 1 is not great cause of the blind being not needed
It's pretty much a dead stat
yeah im cof
If you're rank 10, and have both of the doubling lenses, you should drop it in no time
Might even get double exalted
I have a T6 cast speed t7 freezerate T6 cold DMG wand in my stash but it's useless cos I can't slam that into frozen ire

yeah im rank 10 for some time. The last two weeks i played marksman ...
And I need -cost anyway π
But thanks guys for the help and insight. I think I will play a little bit more for a better slam, but now I know what I have to look for
If option 3 hat T5 lightning pen - I think I would slam it, cause it would be doubled with T5 :/
slam deez
Blind is not useless for arena pushing and super high corr, its rly good with Malice in FC tree, combined with stun tech in idols.
Okay I donβt want to do arenas. For monolith its useless? So confusing. π«€
ignite tech for fire eater in flame rush, blind for what i mentioned above
So ignite and stun for monolith pushing/playing?
ignite is more useful against bosses where u can actually stack the ignite for the pass thru
u wont be doing that much in normal monos
blind without malice is not as useful either, so up to you nd ur build
malice is very costly mana and points wise
Okay
So the best suffix combo will be stun and lightning pen as they already mentioned above.
up to you freind, u can also get stun in idols
i use blind and ignite for different occasions on two 4lp ladles, build however you see works better for ur build tho, depending on ur end goal
Hehe. Yeah but now I think I understand those mechanics a little bit better. π Thanks
no worries man! hope you find the perfect slam ur looking for and enjoooy slammin it!
At what point do i get better mana control for frost claw spam on the runemancer nova freeze build ?
#i have 3 points in cost reduction already, but as im adding the bonus proj, and nova, the mana cost is up to 45. With a mana cost reduction staff. Do i need to grind til i get idols with frost claw mana efficiency? Even then if i have two idols at around 15% cost efficiency. thats 30% and it brings me from 45 to like 31.5 or whatever. How are people getting down to 22-25?
what do you guys think about rift bolt? is 5/5 too much? im thinking about 3/5 or 4/5
Sceptre with T6 spellslinger is mandatory
Ideally t7
On T6 you about break even but sometimes you still run out
Also it depends what Staff you use as well
Some of them increase the mana cost
You also need to get all the mana reduction for Nova as well in the skill tree, it should ideally cost 1 or 0
The node for that is somewhere in the top left
shoot ok good to know
Until i find that sceptre,
do i just suck it up and use mana strike to recover?
or i wonder if i should just level ballista falcon, and once i farm all the best gear, then the rm becomes 'enabled' lol
that other build is probably mana hungry too though eh so meh
What I did was to just not pick all the recast nodes
That way, even with a -3 base on wands you'll be fine
Instead I spec into the DMG increases to cover some of the difference
I used nothing but the freeze build since I started playing RM and finished the story with absolute trash before LVL 60, and all base monoliths before LVL 65 with minimal gear with it
It works well enough,
i can link you my build planner if u wanna take a glance, given its basically end game gear (my top timeline is something over 3k corruption), you can check my skill specs and passives

hmmm how does the clear feel if you dont have all the extra casts (which are a part of the mana refund right) ? is it like super single target focused? any chance you have a video of what it looks like specced that way? "feel" is big for me so if i respec out of things to reduce mana cost but the dmg/clear feels bad its gonna suck haha
nvm im seeing you spec into nova and multiple of the extra casts, there's only the one extra cast on the bottom left you skipped thats what im already doing and mana feels bad. ill just get the idols and see, since i need one more level in merchants to buy
any tips on where to farm a t7 staff?
You have volley of glass doing most of the DPS
It hits everything in its path
You can also use ice barrage as a substitute dps spell
Unspec flame rush , only keep it as a movement spell
And replace snap freeze (which is just boss stun utility) with specced ice barrage
The clear is not fast without the recasts, but it was enough to do 300-400 corruption easily
You don't need that much mana refund if you don't have all of that extra cost
Ah yes that's a thing too, don't take that one
It's kinda not good
Does anyone have a 2lp twisted heart they would be willing to trade
Hey guys I'm new and I'm trying out all the characters.
I like lightning which mage should I go for lightning? I've gone sorcerer but I'm only level 20 so I can start again if rune master is better
rune master is uncomparably way better
Iβm looking through the passives for Sorcerer, why are they just so much worse lol
Like read Dragon Breath (Sorcerer) and then read Circle of Elements (Runemaster)
Why does a node far in the Sorcery tree require so much set up to do what Circle of Elements does for free, with no setup?
This is just awful balancing.
Honestly, should probably like double the nodeβs power at the very least to +20%, and let it scale to +200%. Or do +25%, and have it as a maximum of 8 nodes for a +200% cap, for double the strength with less skill point investments.
Is there anywhere I can compile and post a huge list of proposed changes to the passive trees? Because it really bugs me how unbalanced this is.
what you may be missing is that Sorcerors which care about ailment-on-hit can access both of those nodes, whereas Runemasters can only access their own
it is generically true that many of Runemaster's passive nodes are excellent, and also true that Runic Invocation is quite versatile and strong, but it's not like sorceror is useless. there are reasons to pick sorceror - like if you really want access to Meteor, or if you're planning to do a mana-stacking build for Fractured Crown
also the devs are aware that older classes (like sorceror) have been powercrept and they've mentioned they plan to go back over the passive nodes for older classes and touch them up to bring them in line with newer classes' power
especially for someone who wants to go for a lightning-specialized mage build, sorceror is quite good since it provides access to Crackling Precision, Distant Spark, and Archmage
...and i guess technically lightning meteor is a thing though i wouldn't recommend that
Even with accessing both of these nodes, one is clearly superior to the other in every way possible, and available to ALL subclasses in mage, which is the wild part.
if it's available to all mage subclasses then i don't consider it to be a "runemaster" strength. it's just available to all mages
i mean Void Knight has a passive that gives you more crit multi per point allocated to Void Knight, so for Void Knight it's important that it has as many good passive nodes as possible, so that you actually want to put all your points into the Void Knight tree
but sorc and runemaster don't have any such thing.
runemaster is very bottom-heavy, a lot of its best nodes are in the section that is available to all mages. and all that means is that mage gets a lot of cool passives.
i mean if i look at the top half of the runemaster tree, those nodes don't really seem that good to me. other than maybe Decree of the Burning Wind and Ancient Inscriptions i'm not seeing very useful nodes
Difference is, putting those points into Runemaster will directly aid Runemaster a lot more than it will the other subclasses, since it furthers your ability to spec into the later Runemaster tree as well
And Iβve also got suggestions for buffing the left side of the tree for sorcerer as well
and Recollection in Sorc tree is just a more point-efficient version of Ancient Inscriptions anyway
Which is open to everyone
point allocation hasn't been an issue for me, it's not hard to split 45/45 points across the sorc and runemaster trees and grab everything that's useful in both
Well, current recollection matches Ancient Inscription once youβve reached 80 Intelligence
My proposed buff would increase the match rate to 120 Intelligence, which would allow for more flexibility and low intelligence builds to still profit
they give the same amount of CD-speed at 80 intelligence but Recollection gives it to you for 4 passive points
Indeedily so, but to say its point inefficient wouldnβt necessarily be the case, since it still provides bonus intelligence
fair enough, i'm just saying the options exist for both sorc and runemaster to get cd-speed and sorc's takes fewer points letting you allocate other things too
my sorc build has a 25mage-52sorc-36rune point allocation π€·π»ββοΈ and the build wouldn't be meaningfully better if i were a runemaster instead.
(though in my case i'm forced to go sorc since it's a meteor build)
I mean, from everything that I and the community has seen, the build would be better as a Runemaster
Likeβ¦ itβs not really up for debate that Runemaster does what sorcerer does but better, except for the things that literally only Runemaster can do, like meteor
Sorcerer has one passive that is really really good
Damn, so if I wanna play as a lightning type character, rune master is better than sorcerer?
I haven't played sorcerer, but lightning runemaster is insanely good
craterborn right?
wait
no craterborns a skill passive
got a link to see the build plz ?
Where get Firestarter Torch?
Best place to get it is from the random mob that drops it when you forget you want it
Ah, the Warframe farming method
nah thats buy plat and trade for it
Yeah, or farm plat and trade for it
I should have said the⦠idk standard RNG procedure tbh
The desire sensor
I'm new to the game so I'm probably doing something really wrong, but I've tried every character to level 30ish except for the paladin looking guy, and the mage has just been absolutely horrible to level. My spells are barely doing any damage, continually running out of mana it's crazy.
fireball - spreading flames at 100% and you are good to go
Ah right I went lightning and my god it's terrible
You know early on those flying winged things that raise zombies? I can barely kill them the damage is so low.
Every other class has been face roll
Till the moment you want to actually see anything on your screen ...
Here is the guide I watched before starting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMfOxGjxl3g&ab_channel=Mitch|Preheet
After getting more into it I've done many adjustments, not sure how I link my character. At 2300 corruption now and think I can go a lot higher
I played the lightning Variant from frozen sentinel and literally was kicked out by my friends, you cannot play any coop with this :x
Numbers there insane :>
hehe yeah, I learned a lot from frozen sentinel as well
found out how to import my character, here it is

thx !! i wanna change about spellblade so 'ill try this one (and re xp) a mage just for that xD
As Aywin said, you can't see anything hehe
the whole screen is blowing up with your magic might
I want better gloves&amulet. And I've bricked my 2LP boots and relic/ring
I am trying to build a frostclaw build and am confused why people use flame rush over teleport for movement. Is there an actual advantage I can't see?
Maybe to get an element for runic innovacation, its also used to get some burning on the Boss for better ward Generation if I remember correct
That build is not for the feint of hearted weak PCs
Since the game is poorly optimised still, you might just nuke your FPS within a second instead of the enemies on screen
π
Indeed! I have to have regular breaks because my harddrive is overheating
You can go teleport, but then you have to manage your runes manually. If you go flame you can setup your skills so that you get the correct runeword no matter which spells you cast
I also tried teleporting with runic invocation. It just felt wierd, maybe you can cope
OK. I know nothing about managing runes. Do I need to use skills in a specific order?
you want to have frost fire frost https://www.lastepochtools.com/skills/runic_invocation18_ice_shield
the majority of players take the node Immutable Order in Runic Invocation which makes it so that you no longer need to cast spells in a specific order, but instead it's based on the order of spells on your skillbar. you can opt out of doing this but then you do need to make sure you're manually casting the skills to obtain the combination you want. and the combination you want is likely to be frost-fire-frost for Reowyn's whatever-it's-called
the thing is that Immutable Order ignores non-elemental skills and also ignores Runic Invocation itself when assessing the order of your skills, so if you choose to use Teleport, that means your remaining 3 skills have to be cold-fire-cold in that exact order on your bar (they can have gaps between them but it has to be that order)
but i personally do not find that to be a problem. if you're using the standard frost claw build that people like FrozenSentinel have popularized, you can easily just set up your skill bar as QTeleport - WRunic Invocation - ESnap Freeze - RFlame Ward - RMBFrost Claw and still have frost-fire-frost with Immutable Order
Thank you for the descriptive explaination. This helps π
started a spark charge spell blade for the first time, how is leveling into the build? how should i play it
who will tell him
what im sayin.. im using torch and ladle with fireball, just tried the bee sword using the spellblade passive skill. dog dodoo
tbh just play as a mage untill you reach monos lol spellblade skills are... something xD
if you have sunwreath ring you can use them tho
you go firebrand and flame reave, the mana cost is not that taxing after you max out the abilities on the right for flame reave
the dmgs are not amazing but its doable
ah thats nice, didn't know that
Wow sorcerer is so bad. Time to try rune master lol
Which skills did you try on sorcerer?
Lightning mainly trying fire now only level 13 but much faster
Sorc is bad cause you didn't like lightning at lvl13
I didn't realise. With all other characters, Shaman, Marksman and Warlock I just levelled them and they worked fine.
Sorry I got my sorc up to level 35 but quite he's just terrible but I tried the Rune master and leveled with fire, way more powerful
mana strike specced into mana arc is decent levelling, much more spellblade adjacent if that's what they are looking for
thats going to be to do with levelling as fire and not really anything to do with your mastery. Runemaster IS better than Sorc but you aren't going to feel much of a difference if any at level 35
if you're level 13... have you even managed to get your sorc mastery? π€
You do not even have enough skill points at 35 to truly be a certain class anyway
How can you blame this on the class I really just don't understand
It depends a lot on which skills you use. Some are great with 2-3 points in them, some are really good at 20 points. Some are never good.
With 35 points into elemental nova it is finally starting to feel good.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es8tkSwHeMQ&t=936s was watching this video on making an elemental nova build, couldn't understand why he is doing almost 10x as much damage as me on dummy, with what seems like worse gear.
it is from beta, right before release
I have a feeling something is bugged with elemental nova, but can't find it π
oh so
ele pen was applying at 7* its rate
thats probably why
and probably some other things
thats not his fault, at the time we had no idea what was happening
ok, so pen from skill node and crest of unity was adding way more?
7x seems about right
its fixed now
boosted by paladins and an actual DPS

i dont really understand why that chest piece and those gloves, am i missing soemthing?
Chest because staves are considered melee weps
So 15% extra DR that is multi
And hp scaling etc
Gloves probably just cause of fire pen
Which is weirdge
so the increased to melee damage applies to staves?
