It's for me
you want my 3lp dago claw then kurii?
Give me a 4lp
you're supposed to get the spell damage from enigma, right? and that's why everyone does spark charge.
I need a 4. Already have a 3. Thanks though
but yes, no idea why they didn't filter for that
this one has t7 cast and crit multi tho with shred
t7 cast, t7 multi, t5 shred
lol
shame i dont use it cuz wand is better for nova build
that's amazing
in empowered, what is the purpose of doing "optionnal echo quests"?
none
For fun
they're hidden for a reason
before 1.0 it was useful to remove modifiers. u do 2 of those and it's -2 modifiers
oh, interesting
looking for a real reason, they're there so you could do them if you skipped the timelines on normal.
awww man
i dozed off in an emp and died
my fiurst death in quite some time in emps
dude, get some sleep!
That's actually pretty interesting. I like that there's some story in them, wished there was more in Monoliths
i was just clearing trash for extra stab
and in the game in general
dozing off at the wheel, slamming straight into the railing, but at least you got the objective
the quest echoes have a surprising amount of lore in them. We learn a lot about the world by how it's different in the alternate timelines.
dassa meeee
Could someone help me with a T4 Sanctum real quick? I am close but can't quite get it.
Right, but I wished there'd be quite a bit more. The world appears to set up a signficant story and doesn't really complete it at all. I understand they were under rush to released 1.0 though
And hope they'll add more for 1.1 and beyond
yeah, I'm hoping they'll add a lot more than just the last three chapters when they release them
in terms of lore
for example, you know the oracle when we go to maj'elka the first time?
tell me, who do you think that is
eh, someone possessed/corrupted by Orobossys, presumably?
but not sure at all on the actual identity
The face markings on the model are exactly the same as apophis, and her reaction to us is.... appropriate
I'm not sure how she ends up there after the end of chapter 9, but I'm pretty sure it's her.
rein emp almos tdone
hmm i'll hold off on peak cuz less ward regain cuz of leech
hmm
you think that's more likely a hint to the story, or just a coindicidene due to model reuse?
it's hard to say. I'm hoping it's a hint, because that would be more interesting. She knows us, and says something like "Of course it would be you"
does anyone know where I can find the voice acting credits?
...wait, so Gamler's Fallacy is actually unobtainable now?
yup they turned it off for now
That's... kind of fun, given that I originally got the other item. Now that I recall, it wasn't available back then
hey guys, is it still advisable to stack crit chance if you're fire mono element but already has trinity flames?
does spell cold damage increase frosbite rune claw dmg?
frostbite is not a spell and does not benefit from spell damage
Best way to skip campaign is just get to the waypoint right before temporal sanctum and kill julra yeah?
however, it is cold, and does benefit from increased cold damage.
but if it says spell and cold, no
got it thanks!
it will at least help your direct damage from FC and nova, but if you're optimizing for frostbite, it won't be a lot. Some bonus to clearing trash.
AW YEAH
16 more int for prismatic
fk now i only really need to get int on bloods
puts me at 144 int
just run down mid and you'll be inting for days
lmao
first slam failed so i was totally like nahhh it wont go
this is where im at so far
oh wait my bad forgot to save it

im planning on 1lp omnis at some point, for now it's just helping me with resists
dont mind the belt & gloves, im leveling them lmao
yeah crit
cuz you can do spell crit or crit multi
so can try that for sure
oh julra made me hit rank 10
noice
grats
phew some good progress today
new chest and helm
lets take a look what prices are for 1lp omnis
and see if any work with the resists i need lmao
oh one i need with everything, and 33% crit
hmmmm
Anyone just crash?
dont think so
Nvm, LE-51
got one with what i wanted
so either spell crit or crit multi
what you think ex
spell crit goes up to 175 at t7 so can get pretty good
multiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Does required level also limit the level of area that can drop something?
Specifically: Given that I now need an item from Soulfire Bastion, and it has 3 rare items, with required levels of 41 (the one I need), 45, and 46, should I do Tier 1 (which has lvl 45) to increase the chance that I get the 41? Or does it even not work this way and their chance of showing up are independent?
You look for fallacy ?
According to what I read, crit avoidance isn't as important as crit dmg mitigation, because only the latter is helping to avoid 1-shots
Yes, since, apparently, the quest to get it is bugged
I think that's why frostbite shackles can drop in normal, but they require the zone level to be raised to 74 to do so. level 74 is their min level.
even if you have 100% avoidance ?
had same issue, been farming it since more than a week
Then you're safe but presumably that's hard to get, or rather is cost-prohibitive in terms of the opportunity cost
100% crit avoidance is just as good as 100% crit mitigation. HOWEVER. runemaster gets 48% crit mitigation while using a catalyst from passives. Go crit mitigation.
That's... not encouraging, heh. It's quite frustrating to have bugs like that affecting the entire build, TBH
i got it today 😄
are you CoF or MG ?
aight lets find an ammy with crit multi
So my other option, then, is to switch to a different build while waiting for the bug to be resolved, and meanwhile play something that DOES work with Sorc
and spell crit, incase it fails and lands on another lmao
if you already have 100% crit avoidance, stay with that, but consider that you can drop all that crit avoidance for something better.
How many clears have you done, aprox? And what Tier?
CoF here
also, while you have 100% crit avoidance, the value of the Mental Catalysis node is reduced to just 6 int.
got the game 2 days ago lvl 51 having fun so far
understood, ive 98% actually... In game, is there a way to see crit mitigation?
no, but you can see it in lastepochtools
under the defense tab
I got it Tier 1 because im bad at the game and died at least 3 times in T2. As CoF, you can look at prophecies to drop soulfire keys if you need 😉
good luck!
ive 94%/48% it seems .... what a waste 😄
That's true - I have a lot of keys though. Do you recall approximately how many runs you've done?
is there a place to find people to play with?
yeah, drop that crit avoidance when you get a chance and replace it with better stats. Keep the 48%
maybe 5 ?
I really wish there was publically available API for this game, so I could build my own calculators...
Thanks, thats not too bad
I guess the silver lining is that gets you a chance at LP
well.... you could try scraping LETools 🤣
but i should look for 100% mitigation?
LP1 looks to be 23% chance (though that's from ilvl 100 zone; not sure how much zone level affects it)
Can't - the calculations are all backend. You think I haven't tried? 🙂
100% crit mitigation is better than 48%, but 48% crit mitigation is better than 94% avoidance
since mitigation isn't all-or-nothing, you don't have to max it immediately
interesting - apparentloy you preserve soulfire stacks if you die before and then renenter the lace
yeah but later on, ill need it i guess.
What about stun avoidance ?
That's precisely my understanding as well
Is it good or should i focus on Max HP instead (i looked at the tooltip ;))
well, you could scrape the page for the numbers so you don't have to import yourself. You'd still have to then plug it into your own calculator.
max hp is better
max hp will also help avoid stun, and it's better in general
I'd have to scrap it every time after every import. I think he'd quickly IP ban me then, heh
Best way to get a T6/7 reduced mana cost roll?
how often are you doing that? and how would he know? How is he getting access to that api, anyway?
This is, interestingly, the only D2 clone game where this is true
If you remember, I asked you that same question 🙂 About accessing.
I do remember :D
No idea - but the only possibility is that EHG have specifically granted it to him so he can help with 3rd party tools
gahdamn poison swamps
Do +3 frost claw relics even exist Im struggling to get one
then he better hurry up and finish those tools, or release those keys so the rest of us can help. Why is he getting a state-sponsored monopoly.
I know, right!
Is there a good, survivable and relatively easy-to-make mage build? Thinking of making a new character and haven’t played mage yet
I don't think he's allowed to release the API keys really, so it's on EHG to provide public API (and I assume their hands are quite tied as is with their small numbers)
I mean, Blizz still doesn't have that for D4, and they have much more people (if they haven't all been fired yet, lol)
level 5, spec elemental nova. level 12, spec frost claw. Get these frost claw nodes: Gift of Winter, Volley of Glass, Celestial Conflux. Do whatever you want with the rest. That will carry you through the first 80 levels.
Best way to get a T6/7 reduced mana cost roll?
So we don't have any information on relative build popularity, but what we do have is, against, courtest of LPT, this: https://www.lastepochtools.com/ladders/. You can select a class/mastery you want, and you'll see skills people use
This is biased towards those playing arena, of course, but it's the only source of build popularity I know of
ehhh failed the prefixes
Okay ty
I looked at Frost Claw when I got it, and couldn't figure out how it's better than Disintegrate (since it was doing much less damage). Obviously, it is better, given its popularity
How would last steps work for nova claw?
frost claw is a swiss army knife. It gives you lots of hits per cast, it gives you ward per cast, it gives you mana regen per cast, it gives you elemental nova procs automatically. It's just packed full of value.
offense and defense in a single package
both single target and wave clear
I see. Does its damage scale later on? I mean, obviously it does
usually it's a delivery mechanism for your real damage, like frostbite, or spark charge
I can speak more about frostbite than the spark charge builds that use it, though.
lol someone sold a max 40% lightning crit idol with 20% lightning double dmg for 5m
yoinkeh
are you basing that on the item disappearing from the market, or do you have some way to see sale history?
lol
my old one was 26/24
so now it's 40/20
more crit
no wait i still have that one on, i replced the other one which was 39/11
so i'll take 18% more dmg
Is frostclaw just DOA until you get a top tier mana reduction roll?
Feels absolutely unplayable
do you have 3/3 gift of winter
Need
Yes
build planner -> there's an import button on the left bar
hit import, save then copy the link to us
Import then share
Im outside on mobile enjoying a cigar so. Ill be delayed in answering
Can I get some mage 5heads advice? Thinking of going for last steps boots vs blood of exlie possibly if I can get enough int to get red ring bonus. Thoughts?
Sukk me
last steps are for low life
Last steps only for low life builds
Yo fk u phil
oh
Even if offline?
lmao
Stealing my thunder
lol, I did well in typing class

mobile is a second class citizen on the internet
Not finding my character
gonna replace the smaller idols i think
is anyone in high corruption mono's atm? like 700+?
Oh you can?
you can import offlines
make sure you're using the account name you log into the game with, not your steam name.
Yur build is bad
No idea how though, sorry guys…but I appreciate the help
And u are bad FBI
😭
Actually
wait i already knew that
there is a detailed explanation of how on the import page. @rich badger
lmao
click on offline
We are all bad compared to @stiff crown
follow the clearly written instructiions
kurii op
can someone take me in a high corruption map? i would love to test my build
Kurii bis
I see I have to dig it out of folders. I will work on it.
💯
when I die, on my death certificate, the doctor will write "skill issue"
its literally just your stream saved games folder
Yo my wife
Laughed at the whole honda thing today
She loves hearing about my nerd gaming drama

lol good!
Meanwhile, my fekkin 3000 pound classic would smoke the brakes off his honda
what new lore?
Our wife*
I'm his wife
our wife then
Honda is season 3. Season 2 is Ferebor
you'll never believe what's in store for season 4
writers all replaced with AI
T7 Int, T7 Cast Speed Swaddling in AH. 1.5B
oof
Can’t find my steam related folders to dig out the offline stuff, but do you essentially need -4 mana cost reduction or better for frost law to function serviceably?
what do you think will happen now that there are items that theoretically can't be placed on the market for their true value? Do you think people will resort to using multiple characters to hold enough gold and take transactions off the books?
Just took me 5 mins to kill a normal mono boss because I sat there OOM half the time
Which is insane, my gear is fair
I think you can get by with -3, but -4 makes you positive
I see
also, you want Mana Efficiency for frost claw idols. 2 ornates.
Ahh
Thanks, I had one in storage
Das weird. Im not @rocky gale
brb swiping
LOL
guys what do i wanna farm?
do i wanna maybe go try and get an exsang and last steps
and slam away on a spellblade?
dewit
no, not the gold, I mean the spellblade
christ those swaddlin went so fast
1.5b ez gone lmao
need to get me a roll like that
someone's swaddlin all the way to the bank tonight
lmao
oh right lets see if there's a better idol for me to get again
need one better than 26/25 for double lightning
wish we could have Voice chat back: (
hmmm 40/25
<@&1161418687471956101> any voice chat back soon? 🙂
40/25 cheaper than some lower ones big time lmao
might just grab that since it's damn near cap
consiudering how you know what they are with the chat filters, and not allowing embeds ( these at the minimum need reenabled ) x to doubt.
Got it on the second try, took 5 amulet rolls total. Not bad
Thanks for all the context
same
Like every other season
when s4
Hopefully cycle 2 comes out shortly after s4
ahhhhh kk
If I could get it all to line up. Where I play path epoch and d4 all for a month each
That’d be amazing
That works
Has anyone tried barbute with nova claw?
people use it with sorc i think
its not great
running LB
oh right cause of prismatic I forgot
yeah
oof unfortunate
so I really need to get a static shell with int or a pair of exile boots and slam int for red ring D:
think if i get a 2 LP last steps, i slam a spellblade tonight
why not just run mt boots? they are +12 all stats which is 24 more stats than exile boots plus give mana cost reduction standing still
idk why so many run exile boots. they just want to be that fast? well just flame rush + experimental cdr around the map
MEANWHILE..... in my universe
yeah for the speed. I mean I could try and get a pair of moutnain boots but the speed is very nice
it's movespeed, big int, str = armor %
ah sick hit 27% cast speed on my shackles
there was also some ish about the bleed affixes like
counting as an ailment?
honestly, exp slammed exiles are probably bis imo
uh they are both +12 lol and mt are cheaper
yeah but exile faster
yeah true but -6 mana cost
idk the QoL of mt boots far exceeds like 15% more movement spd
and i just flame rush around
I don't need the mana cost reduction
but do you need 24 more stats which is also mana/hp/poison res/necrotic res
i highkey hate foot of the mountain
that's true I mean I do kinda need the extra points for red ring bonus
with two red rings, the mt boots caps my necrotic and poison resist with all res blessing
and also am at 74/75 necrotic res
is the dragorath dagger worth to go over mad alchemist?
what the FK
also even if you dont need the maan cost red. you can run cheaper mana idols and less points into frost claw
as lightning claw
yup im jumping to COF now LOL
in a vacuum w/ a specific build sure drags is fine
you have perma aegis if you skill lightning blast
nope
go test it and lmk lol its prob bugged out
and not against a dummy, like against real enemies. it falls off immediately
i just paid attention and its more like half the time
go fight a boss, thats where it counts and watch
in monos, you are kind of moving around so sticks a bit more
against oro uptime is kinda yikes
also doing more dps with mad alchemist even with passives skilled for drago
but is it better than the lightning shred? Isn't that kind of needed to help bump the single target dps?
spell leech is black sun (crit multi spot) and lightning shred is lagon timeline
two different spots
Are spell leech better against Oro ?
i prefer crit multi, dont need leech when you have 50k ward loll
see that's where I'm at lol
i only have 3 points on the tree
you could completely move it if you wanted
but you lose lightning pen
1% leech for 3 points and some lightning pen felt fine for TH drain
How u get so many, best one I got was like 35k spamming on lich bos,
Can't even get 35k at Oro cause I have to dodge his attack at 800 corruption, I can only tank 1-2 hit, 3rd one is send me back to spawn
static shell.
i pretty much hit armor cap
i also have T7 crit dmg reduction and all armor idols
static shell gives me 172% armor (have high roll) against shocked enemies
if you take less dmg, your ward gets hit less too
oh and two red rings xD for 20% DR
Oh lol
I want static but my frost claw only +3 can't afford +4 I'm poor
my frost claw is +2 lol
How can u afford mana spam with +2
i am tank is my build lol
mt boots are -6
people really be sleeping on mt boots sigh
oh no less mvmt pfft
What is Mt boots
"foot of the mountain" comes from lightless arbor
do u need combo for that build or spam 1-2 skill?
no one does, they all follow meta andies
Just leveling up weavers rings rn, is elemental damage over time worth anything for RM Frostclaw Nova
you can make frost claw extremely tanky
i tank all of orbyss at 1100 now, maybe it gets harder later? idk
i just hold down frost claw
and eat popcorn in my other hand
I have to dodge at 800
Sometimes I miss cause ele nova and can't see and I'm die
F cant imagine moving xD
What are key aspect of that tank build
That foot mountain endurance?
I thought endurance don't work on ward
Do someone try snapbackkilla build?
hmm i didnt say anything about endurance part tho (although if i were to magically lose my ward, it does protect you)
I just came I only see your foot of mountainhaha
ok i will make a list
static shell - 175% armor from shocked
red ring x2 - 20% DR
crest of unity - 18% DR from shocked
passive tree - 8% DR from shocked
max out 100% crit reduced + armor
idols - long ones +Mana/Amor, small ones Armor/Lighting dmg (or hp)
thats off the top of my head, could of missed something
the standard ward building from every frost claw
foot of the mountain - for mana problems on boss, in monos you just lightly tap it and kill everything
Are u using that gear for Oro only or it also your Speedrun gear
hmm? i use it the entire time, theres no swapping
I do a lot of dps on my gear
Like I have 90 crot chance, 500 crit multi, 500 lightning dmg
Even all that I still take so long to kill bos at 800
Compared to my Necro who 5 shot Oro at 1000
How long u take to kill Oro at 1100
oh i forgot i run strand of souls belt for 180% mana spent to ward
maybe under 2 min i think?
I think Im going to buy that gear for Oro, lost a lot my orb tjse days
Damn that's actually pretty fast lol wtf
Maybe cause u just stand there resulting more DPS
Compared to me trying to run and dodge and not attacking nonstop
That's pretty high for tanking build
Hmm so u don't need put resist on all your gear eh, just need 2 red rings ?
Put armor and defense on suffix ?
2 red ring + all blessing is 60% all res. mt boots give me enough vitality to max poison/necrtotic. i think have an elemental resistance somewhere and then void/physical sealed somehwere
Ahh ic
my gear is pretty nicely minmaxed around LP2. the worst piece being the +2 frost claw twisted heart x.x
I sold my red ring back when it's 20m sad
Now it's 70 lol
i also have 135int
Ic
Btw crest of unity, about elenova always tri elemental
How are effecting the skill tree?
Basicly all active at same time ?
yup all elements so it benefits from lightning dmg all the time, also it does quite a decent amount of dmg. i chose crit multi and dmg to shocked nodes
you get +6 from the helm
Yeah I was using that helm before
But every guide recommend prism lol
I need to switch again haha
oh and my runic invocation i went to the far right to drop 3 elemental novas on cooldown
my runic invocation has like a 6s cooldown, so it also drop 3 novas every 6 seconds
Also I think my CRIT chance is too high, I got like 83 not counting from idols lol
idk check youtube/letools
@barren pawn @sturdy summit @errant plank So I got the amulet (took only 2 clears and 5 total amulet buys), and did some testing. Here's what I got so far (keeping in mind my gear has almost no crit on it, since I wasn't optimizing for Ingivar at all before today, so the numbers will be far lower than Kyo's):
- Damage is much, much better than before (65% from only the amulet and Ingivar's, with random wand I found, vs. my previous Staff with T5 Ele DoT, Fire dmg, and T4 Fire pen)
- The amulet does matter - Damage without it is decreased to 35% of the value with it, as the crit decreases from 215% to 19%. With more crit gear, dmg diff will be even more noticable.
- Apparently Ingivar's +spell crit isn't just 2% or 3%, but can be somewhere in-between, game just doesn't show it (e.g., mine is 2.65%)
Actual ticks are 6805 as compared to 2382 before (again, with NO crit gear at all)
wooooo time to gamba
anyone know what the damage bonus % for the sorcerer is per mana spent? or is it 1 mana = 1 damage bonus?
..... you were running disintegrate with a staff?
and no gamblers?
shade spotted
Yes, exactly 🙂 I don't know if you remember, but I said in the beginning that I wanted to play this game for the first time without reading up on anything at all (and I didn't play beta), so I didn't know Ingivar's existed. Or, for that matter, Soul Gambler's, because the quest was already disabled
It's 1 mana = 1%. I didn't know either, and the tooltip isn't quite useful, so I had to lookup and then confirm
thanks
and yet you were usign a spreadhseet for dps? and claiming you had nbearly identical or better dps to / than me? using that setup?
I had a goal of completing one Empowered Monolith before reading up anything, and once I have (with...lots of pain), I read the guide, and came here.
so @vernal finch timeline boss was jsut under a minute, shade time
No, I didn't claim my dps was better. I said that I didn't understand what makes Ingivar so good, given that numerically it doesn't make sense. Obviously something was wrong in my model, since you reported 340k ticks, and I had, well, almost nothing compared to that
And that something was the fact that Gambler's adds 100% base crit, rather than 100% increased crit
Plugging in your numbers now into my model, I get something quite close to what you're seeing live (and much better than my current, so don't worry, your dps is still supreme by a lot)
This also means I have a lot of potential to upgrade, so we can all be happy
@vernal finch so i actually tried this time (remember flame rush gives cast speed) and i did it in 1min 30seconds
active modifiers: enemies have +25% to all resist, enemies have 1151% more health and damage
Day 2 of Cold Runemaster: almost 50, loving it even before the two uniques that make the build
@barren pawn Oh, and Sorc is probably definitely not the best spec for Disintegrate 🙂 I was hoping Meteor can save it, since casting Meteor gives 35% fire penetration for 6 second (for everything, not just Meteor) - but it can also crit, so to benefit from it, I have to super-awkardly cast it AWAY from monsters.
Looks like I'm rerolling as a master of runes...
One of us one of us
yep! cold is good without items. The core items let it scale into endgame, but they're hardly required to start getting value
I love the interactions between the skills, A+
yeah you can't really run craterborn w/ that setup
i think later on after the gamblers change tho
that setup may be bis
Is there a channel on this Discord that lets you post images?
no, only links to images
Items showcase
oh, right
Is Vilatria's Downfall the only way to take advantage of Meteor's Stardust node? Seems strange to have an entire skill node that only works with 1 item
not by any means
That is only because this is 1.0, expect more interactions with all kinds of things as the game goes on
I'm speaking in general
Are there any other ways to use it now or is it just a plan for future cycles
that node literally just reads
"adds 80% of other damage types to meteor"
so think of it like
So if you add flat spell damage of other types that would improve it?
not sure tbh if it works w/ flat spell dmg
but
that would be the case, yes
it'd essentially add that element to meteor
oh, so that's the node that makes it possible to play void sorc
well, lightning would add at 100%, but I guess this means it's 180%?
but if you change the skill to lightning, it will scale with lightning
so if you had 100%, it'll add 80% of that to meteor
in that case, right
just scooped me a Tyrant reg w/ int, crit multi, armor, armor/crit avoid hybrid and a cheeky sealed vit
lol
sneaky sneaky, thought it was 4m at first glance.
https://paste.pics/QM11W
FC is like every build
hmmmm what should i level
its v easy to scale it early.
do like me and level a new toon using exactly the same class and build you already have
think i'll get my LB sorc going, try to get CoF running
you only really need a solid sceptre and +1 skills
yep
im debating on that and do a CoF RM instead of MG
lmao
^ dewit
like you get shackles, twisted heart, snowdrifts and a frozen ire 1 LP
slam it w/ -mana cost and you're set for a while
tho i did want to try that inherit build with scorpions
that's what I've got, and I feel pretty set! You don't even need LP on the shackles or snowdrifts, though it sure hurts to not have a t7 move speed on my boots
t7 spellslinger isn't necessary, t6 is good enough
yea'
i'd be tempted to see how long it'd take for me to get that off the ground
from 1-emp monos
granted i'd have CoF buffs early for testing
but
they dont affect much early game
1-50 with twink items is pretty smooth
got that lucky t7 movespeed roll on my erased boots
and frozen ire is lvl 33 only. you can also get a volatile ice for lvl 0
yeah, I'm using the wino offhand
for my alt
I think if I could get it with 2lp, I'd use it on my main
tempted to do another RM
im too used to the class now
lmao
too bad this sorc already did it's mastery quest
a second RM means you could test out a build before switching your main to it.
turns out the whole capitalism thing was a bad idea afterall, whoops
cof is way better for getting non boss drops
boss drops aren't great though
but once you get some corr going to you all the loot you will ever need
I regularly see t7 drops in normal monoliths on alts.
and I started seeing exalted items drop at like level 30
i'm farming at 1600 corr so my drops are a little inflated
lol i bet at 1600
You ar efarming 1600 corr on a mage?
yeah a rm
Pretty sure that makes you top of the ladder.
naw emp was doing 2200 playing plasma
like week3
the dodge plasma build is insane that thing does dam
i remember seeing some builds by emp
didnt know there was a dodge build for mages tho
yeah it is really good just super high apm
it's a non static invocation build so you gotta juggle dam and shield
yeah im slow so no way for me to do that
lmao
i was looking at some freeze builds for RM
saw one with like 2700 freeze multiplier
2700%
nuts
frostclaw is cracked
yeah
good as shockclaw, good as frostclaw
igniteclaw needs work lmao
I'd love to do a freeze build
specially since i've got a lp3 shackle
hmmmm
could redo the skills easily on my RM but might be abit of work to swap everything over
lmao
oh nvm frozen stuff is cheap af wth
yeah nothing for my build is cheap so i had to make the rm cof
yeah
RM build still expensive as hell rn so
every day gets worse lmao
dont have a 2lp frozen ire tho rip
just 2 1lp's, slap on spell mana cost down and be ez done
prolly put that RM on cof and just try some frost lol
hey guys, if I took the perk on elemental nova that turns it into a channeled spell, can it still proct on frost claw? if yes, what would be the effect?
yessir we hit the int slam on the static shell
maybe dumb question but 17 int on static shock to hit red ring bonus is better than 86 spell crit doubled on unstable core and the extra point in fc?
spellcrit at one point will be usless since u will hit the crit cap
Is the int better anyways cause it's int? Or is the spell crit better till the cap? Also I would get red ring bonus with the chest equipped
you will hit cap crit with int anyways so you dont really need spell crit
so int> then?
yes
ok ty
1170 Corruption Shades kill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYXXAVfaPOM&ab_channel=Kurii
Trash drops
but nice, good kill
Does increased crit strike chance affect spells or is that just spell crit strike
regular crit chance does, but spell crit chance can roll higher
Right. Thing is, I'm level 89, so rerolling as a Runemaster would take some time. Still not fully sold on it.
Gambler's change is happening in the next cycle (I think), by which time we'll all have new characters
Yall run mana regen/haste on flame ward?
Morning, does anyone have Performance issues if you spec Lightning with Penetration?
If i Play Arena endless my Game starts to stutter a lot and i cant fix it atm.
y'all think the QoL of MS on exile boots is better than an extra 11 int or nah cause int is just so good?
the point of those boots is so you can double up on int
is it really?
a pair of exalt with int ms cdr is better otherwise
well I mean without them you aren't hitting the bonus from red ring
see that's a different situation than your question, if you need the stats to hit red ring that's different but if you do not an exalt is better if you miss the int
I mean it still would apply to my question. I can hit the bonus from red ring without the int slam on exile boots but not without the exile boots altogether
you asked the question about an item in a vacuum...
either way the above answers both questions you had.
alr thx
Can anyone do temporal sanctum at IV, i have a key i canþ complete it, on cycle
testing untouched builds with BiS items in offline mode, anybody got some general ideas for builds they havent seen before? I enjoy testing them.
On the act VIII, on the mission '' speak with Yulia in Thetima '' it still lagged on me, im 81 lvl and it still bugged, i go to talk to her and nothing happens, doesnt show me where go next. I did verify the game many times and nothing. Any help?
Probably show picture or smthing
Beside u dont need to do chap 8 anyeay
Just use temporal key to skip to chap 9
probably a side quest of sorts u skipped, or in a different timeline
its a known issue missions wont always point u where to go
open your map and look for the thingy manually
are runemasters laggy esp in parties?
does the Frostclaw autotarget node work for bosses? or does it only target OTHER enemies?
i mean if u cant hit a mostly immovable targets with FC, ur have some real skill issue
i think that depends on map/how many mobs are around, but yes, the FPS goes to sh even on a good rig , the more mobs it hits at once the worse it is, further amplified by the fact they still didnt give us the option to insta despawn/hide dead enemies for whatever reason they have
the performance tanks SO HARD on a mountain of corpses of trash
So no?
I don't feel like that answered my question
i just dont know the answer, that node is just a bait for more mana spent
FC with all the extra casts pretty much already hits the entire screen especially if u have nova autocast from it
gotcha. Yeah, by the description, I feel like it just wouldn't self target the same monster again, so I might just unspec it
To make it simple. No. It doesn't hit the same target.
clearing isn't a problem anyways with RM so
thanks. Now I can safely remove it
Does closed circuit work on minions? Like for example volatile zombies from experimental belt. Thinking of ways to use it while being solo
yes
👌🏻
I got a pretty fun lightning meteor build, but having some survivability issues, can anyone give some pointers? Tyty
What's your ward at normally? Does it recover fast? Other then that no crit avoidance can be oneshot reasons if that's what often kills you?
Oh and your res look pretty bad, 0% phys? That's the most used dmg source.
Yea, still working on the res XD, normally sits at 1K ward, but with flame shield active and attacking gets to 3Kish. Just slowly getting to empowered mono then will farm for blessing.
My biggest question is, since meteor uses a ton of mana, is it worth to build for mana to energy shield?
I don't have any experience with damage taken as mana usage, so can't say if it's worth it or not, but AFAIK the language there is damage dealth to HEALTH is taken by mana, and you have ward so no go.
oh man oh man, after i pretty much hit the worst slam on my omnis before i wanted to legit throw it onto ground, cos it hit phys res, but then i realised it just caps my phys res for free and i can change my phys res idols as well
so its not as bad after all, tho i would very much like the armour shred instead
Hey there everyone , is there any1 that wanna go into a channel and discuss/talk about the game ?xD getting bored with solo grinding
hey guys, just got up to deciding my mastery and i'm not sure which one to pick
i haven't watched any guides yet or anything and have just been playing blind up until this point
i was reading through some reddit threads and stuff and a lot of players actually did recommend playing through blind and not sticking to builds too much but yeah i wanna know which mastery i should go
well first of all u have 3 mastery choices depending on ur class. what's ur class?
mage
if you don't have a preference, go runemaster.
it's the strongest of the three
no, it's because of runic invocation and the passive tree. Runemaster is the only one of the subclasses that can be tanky at the same time as doing damage.
30% increased damage is not a lot. You will get a lot of increased damage. Increased does not mean More
to scale your damage, you need to stack many different sources of More Damage, and getting too much Increased Damage is bad
it wants me to solve a captcha, so I can't see it
UI bug, so happens at times
okay alright haha 😄
Which mastery is weakest of sorcerer and spellblade? 🙂
yes 😛
probably spellblade, but I dunno
wut, spellblade is op 😄
how much corruption?
It's all relative. It's just that RM overshadows things with the op wardgen
everything is OP if you're not at empowered yet. Once mobs start hitting hard, it's a different story. Spellblade dies before it can reach the enemy.
i'm not that far yet
basically
Sorcerer mastery: High-cost mana spell, pretty basic mage, shoots meteors and big orbs. right now not in a good spot when it comes to survivability.
Spellblade mastery: a mage that uses magic through his swords. So you will be doing magic damage in melee range. pretty fun and interesting, can generate good defenses, not too many builds available.
Runemaster mastery: through your special mastery-unique ability, you will be able to use different rune combination to invoke different spells. Best class right now for mage. Huge damage, huge ward generation, very nice passive trees. Many builds available
Isn't there some ranged mana strike versions for spellblade as well?
when regular trash mobs can start oneshotting you, spellblade gets sad. Runemaster just laughs. Before then, it doesn't matter what you play, just do what you like.
i dont even lose hp lol
got my ward at 730+ steady
exactly. can't judge based on that
runemaster it is then
10,000 is a decent standard
like i said, i'm not that far yet but my experience is fun with the spellblade
i didnt died that much haha
then keep playing spellblade. Everything is good when the game is easy.
when people ask if something good, the only content that matters is empowered
go with the flow. don't be afraid to experiment and change things up. when leveling runemaster for the first time it can be overwhelming because of the variety of skills / builds you can use
i'm lv. 66 at blood frost and death
yeah i looked it up and seems to be so much variety for runemaster
spellblade can get to good corruption, it's not bad at all. it's just that the life of a melee mage is hard 😢
My "problem" with spellblade is that it doesn't feel like a mage to me, none of my mage tricks work well with it 🙂
its more a AoE Mage haha
yeah, spellblade will get you really far, but the wind will be in your face rather than at your back.
i play it with elemental nova, enchant weap, shatter strike and flame ward
x))
pretty fun
Maybe if spellblade melee skills scaled with cast speed instead of melee attack speed, I could make it work well
they'd have to be spells instead of melee, then
U need cooldown reduction for spellblade instead cast speed
I want to combine other mage spells with spellblade skills, but have issues making it work
i mean depends tho 😄
cast speed and cooldown reduction don't compete with each other. They go on different slots. So there's no "instead". You get both.
But makes more sense if most of the "priority" skills are CD based instead of cast tho
Are there any uniques or sets that scale well with melee lightning dps?
the only spellblade item I'm aware of is for fire.
plasma orb runemaster good?
if you like rotations, yes. If you find rotations tedious, no.
it's one of the highest dps builds in the game
what do you mean in terms of rotations
cast three spells in a specific order, then runic invocation, then repeat the cycle
it's a non static invoke build you so cycle between fcf and cfc
plasma orb build has complex rotations
cause you have to manually maintain shield and invoke for dam
FCF and CFC refers to the element of the spells you use
I find it funny that I use meteor as a mana builder skill and fast casting frost claw as the spender
Should maybe be other way around?
the CFC invocation is Frostguard, which gives you 30% damage reduction. That ability is what makes Runemaster shine above all the other subclasses
among other things, but that's a really big thing one can point at
I can't emphasize enough how powerful it is to take 30% Less Damage
big one. in my RM i use FCF and lightning blast specced to cold and to trigger lightning aegis for another 30%
lightning aegis is one everyone has access to, but it stacks with frostguard. it's not a replacement.
ahhhh i seee
someone lemme know about this build and how it stands atm
called a nova runemaster
nova runemaster is an awful name.
is it Spark Charge?
if it's spark charge, it's good
if it's just a random build that uses nova, every build uses nova, almost
i'm new to game so i'm not sure sorry
well, take a look, and watch for if they start talking about Spark Charge
i use them both
it's an Allie build, so it probably is. These names are really awful. It's like asking what you want to drink and the person says "Soda"
i believe it is spark charge, they just mentioned being able to proc spark charge faster on this build compared to another version
exactly.
it's a poorly scaled frostclaw
I don't recommend starting with spark charge
but she named it something else
you don't have the items for it yet.
just do this: at level 5, specialize Elemental Nova. At level 12, specialize frost claw. Get these nodes in frost claw: Gift of Winter, Volley of Glass, Celestial Conflux. For your other skills and passives, just do whatever you like. This will get you to level 80.
i would just play lightning blast then transistion into actual frostclaw
u can go Ignite runemaster, pretty easy and friendly. or u can just start experimenting with it and see what u like most, then look for builds
not whatever that is
I wouldn't use lightning blast beyond level 4 when you get ele nova. Then just spam that until frost claw.
naw you can take lb all the way to 1300 corr if you wanted
@sharp furnace what is your experience with this kind of game ?
it's a very strong build
you can take LB to 1300 corruption, but not to level 12.
do you know what I mean? Level 12 is before LB is good.
it IS good, but it requires investment a new player doesn't have
my only experience w this type of game is POE which i think i have like 150 hours in but even then thats still considered newbie
I would suggest to play whatever you like, this game is really friendly, not punitive at all
yeah sure but 150h of POE is enought imo
yep, with the one exception of your subclass, you can respec everything very easily
but even then you can make an alt
yep, levelling an alt with twink gear is fast
@sharp furnace : Create your character "online" so you have more flexibility later on as well
sounds more like you don't know how to play lb as a starter
could be. What would you do to make LB waveclear with 2 spec points?
any timeline. AoW just has the unique/set echoes
kk thx
someone send me a runemaster build and i'll just follow it , and i specialised frost claw and ele nova now

is there a way to redo passive points on the base mage class?
yes. There's an NPC called the chronomancer with a brain icon. We call them the Brain Vendor.
that's what this channel is for
i appreciate you helping me out
sorry if I might seem a little on edge, just woke up :p
no not at all haha, you are direct and to the point about it plus you're answering all the questions i keep asking even if its like a child continuously asking 'why, why',why'
So atm playing ignite frost claw, if I want change it another (stronger?) frost claw build, which one is best
do you want to stay dot, or do you want crit?
I recommend frostbite as an entry level empowered build, because it has low gear requirements.
Crit mostly
then you'll probably want to do lightning.
I think lightning does crit better than cold does
with frostbite, the only item you really need is snowdrift, because that enables Freeze Rate Multiplier to Frostbite Penetration conversion. And since you will be stacking freeze rate multi, you will be freezing everything. Even bosses, up to a point!
Who had best frostbite guide or video or w/e 😄
me. But the guide isn't done yet, I can't share it. I can only share the planners
sure

there is also that one RM frost claw which uses unique dagger (?), but I bet its need specific gear to work?
Dragorath Cast on Crit. For that, you need the dagger and fragment of the enigma offhand
while Snowdrift boots let you scale your damage, they're not strictly required to make the frostbite build work. Dragorath and Enigma are required to make that build work, however.
Which one woul be ur pick, cast on crit or that frostbite version
I am doing frostbite, so I'm a little biased. If I had the items to make it work, I'm curious to try a spark charge build. I'm not sure if I'd do dragorath or ladle.
probably ladle.
I have a lot of those items already, but not with the 2+ LP and slams that make them good.
you can do cold from level 1, but yeah, you've got it imo
I mean ignite is not bad, its killing everything pretty fast and yeah, but I want more dmg 😄 more is more
MORE
time to look every helmet and chest with frostbite exalted mod
Like i said last night; if i could do it over i’d 100% play frostbite claw to start
Scale that all the way up until it becomes too much of a hhinderance
If i trigger "traversal or movement" invocation, does it get benefitts from "+X% damage to traversal/movement" modifiers?
yes
if you've got one of the nodes that adds the movement or traversal tag, then it counts
ayeee just helped my boy get a 1LP twisted +3claw slam
we win these
but i fail all my julras
Just don’t fail them then
@sturdy summit what u would say is BiS mod on shackles on frostbite?
2 more bricked red rings... this is killing me
it's either cast speed or freeze rate multiplier. I haven't mathed out which is strictly better, though.
I'm currently prefering cast speed, though
Need to farm some gloves
ok i just found out that cuckoo + haste affix boots = haste duration is lengthen
9sec duration haste lmao
how long before the item goes poof, though?
you mean when it becomes a random exalt, it keeps the cuckoo stats?
that doesn't sound right
yeah i decided to try for fun cuz i rolled int on my exile boots
guess i use this for map
I'm not using enigma, but I've just been putting them in a stash tab. I've got like half a dozen of them.
now imagine T7 ms + haste and cuckoo
zoooooming
i just swap back to enigma when doing orobyss
the rest of the boss are whatevr
is drago lightning claw any better than running with mad alchemist?
Hey, loot filter problem here (might be me lol). I'm trying to filter all but large and adorned idols, I've put the show these two condition on top of the filter, but it still shows everything. Or should I make hide all condition under it?
yes, at the very bottom, put a rule to hide everything that's not unique or set
or exalt, if you're low level, but eventually, hide exalts too
oh, and you'll need a separate rule for the idols
rather than item quality, hide those by item type
ALSO, at the top, put a rule to show unique and set, just in case.
because unique idols are weird.
idols are not normal, magic, rare, or exalted quality. So because you can't hide them by quality, you have to show unique idols
Thanks, I thought I had pretty much figured out my filter but couldn't wrap my head around this ruling
Opulent on top , L enigma users
hey, they're worth 1000g or 1500g when they drop, so I bother to pick them up to vendor :p
Anyone with 2 char as runemaster? 😄
after 2 days of thinkin i decided to run a 2nd one RM, this will be ligthning/noava build and the 1st one frostbite
I did it to test the advice I keep giving new players
what advice?
build advice
so now I've got some more solid numbers on what levels you get certain things
i have a firestarter torch 3lp with t7 fire dmg so let's try a fire leveling
firestarter 3lp is good even if you never cast a single fire spell, because it just lets you use t7 prefixes at level 1
Is there a most effective way to farm reduced mana cost affixes?
yes, i waited a lot before rolling an alt, now i have few 3lp items low lv
praying god
I’m toast then.
get the sceptre drop blessing from formosus. use prophecies if you're CoF.
