The Quicksand node in Anomaly is bugged, right? At 100% it seems to consume the ailments and trigger their damage.
It's cool and should be a feature, but it's probably bugged because I don't know what it'd actually do at 125%.
good thing is that it has been bugged for 3 seasons
and still not fixed

Bug just means it's a feature that can change at any time. I've given up on expecting things to be fixed and have just gone all in on treating them as features.

Also you can get 27% bleed duration per 3 slot idol, combined with altar multipliers you can easily get another 200% bleed duration from that alone
like 180% or so i guess yeah, but at that point id rather worry about inc damage, also id be throwing so i need smite idol/s
at +200% inc duration +1% inc duration is still +0.33% more damage basically, you do need to get increased damage but it's rare that 1% inc duration will be worse than 2-3% inc damage

it has its good moments even on aberroth, when you cleave the harbinger next to him and it dies and swaps ignites over, sometimes get 2.5-3m dots on him for a moment

I thing orbiting are generally better but chaining has a different and imo quite nice playstyle

So usually AE deals dmg over time
Or all at once if hit
Both of those are disabled
Now, when you hit you deal 5% of the dmg
So if you were to do 100 total over 5 sec
Every hit you do will do 5dmg
But
If you do more than 20 hits you can effectively deal more than 100% of the dmg over the same duration

Can somebody help me with a build? I'm fairly new to the game, found a Palarus kind of early into the leveling and have a couple of questions:
- Should I spec into divine bolts for extra fire stack procs? I don't think I can justify spending around 10 skill points there if it doesn't do much
- Should I spec into crit/spell crit for smite? I can't accurately see how much damage it does from hits vs ignite.
- Any "recommended" way to sustain mana?
- What defensive layers should I prioritize besides reists?
Reduced bonus damage from crits is a great defensive layer. Endurance is great and is often overlooked.
Yeah, I took some reduced crit bonus from the passives, but don't have much else with that stat yet
you'd typically focus on either crit or ignite, there's not typically enough room to scale both effectively

Rampancy opens up a lot of potential for forge guard though, since attack speed has always been a fundamental roadblock for the class.

Ginnie has done ignite vengeance to good effect I think
Based on successful dot builds I've seen, you need to get extremely high stack count, lots of more multipliers in the application skill, and it helps a lot to have an alternate stat scaler similar to paladin scaling dmg with healing effect.
For the most part though, ignite chance, attack speed, and penetration are the main scalers.
I haven't done any successful dot builds admittedly though. I've tried a few times but they end up weak af.
I'm mostly stacking it using warpath and smite procs, are there other good alternatives? ๐ค
Shield rush had a dot build, though I'm not sure if the skill is still bugged. Javaelin and vengeance both had dot builds.
I really want to try a smelters wrath furnce dot build but I know it's going to be slow af so I'm not eager to invest time in it yet.
yeah wildfire ignite vengeance was nice, this 2500 stack bleed hammer smite however... something must be broken here

the node from the weaver tree that allows the frozen prison to drop twice is a god send for farming it, imcurrently doing 35 omens veil then around 40 frozen prisons
omen veil 3-way shouldnt be a requirement to get to the boss, its such a garbage encounter

Omen veil forced on us to do new boss and sustain fragments is not my cup of tea,if at least has good quality affix it would be fine but its designed to not give you Good altars in general so

nah ive been roughly comparing to someone on ladder in 1400 or 1500 corruption but i'll take a look, i can make slight adjustments still but also the fact that i slowly just run out of mana to even cast echos
20m+ dps on the dummy has to be s tier right.. like you cant even sustain the buffs needed to get that going on this build lol
and my gear indeed is straight up better than that

but idk, I hear people say tens of millions of DPS single target but I see the gameplay footage and it just isn't apparent that they're doing ~1/10th of that in lvl 100 areas

this season sucks, i have no good idol altar yet, only 1 good omen idol and i corrupted 31 shattered worlds and didn t get frenzy. i killed like 100 ubber aberoth to get nothing.

The 2h version from maxroll in previous seasons was not the best version. Dual wield multistrike is stronger
idk man ive seen some questionable stuff on maxroll LE section these days

I don t know, i tried 2h version from marxroll in 1.3, then i did my own version (dual wield) and i had better dps with dual wield. i played multismite for a while mostly for ubber aberoth farming, ua kill time was 2' with laddle + aurelis, 3' with 2h
Is ladle better than tribolecta? +3 skill levels for smite should be pretty competitive with the more spell damage and tribolecta has better flat

I tried electrify multismite in 1.3 with t8 wand, build was pretty strong, i killed UA with it but i struggled a lot. I died like 70 times. Build is squichier than vk version
Giving to much credit to maxroll they still using apathy maw for rive ,there are stuff that you can change to every almost build it there to make it better
some of the builds definitely seem like less/little thought put into, like a vague idea you need to improve on

as i play mainly echoes i would prefer clearing over single target dps
Not really messed with FG much so can't really comment on that but for Paladin you have Shield Throw, Hammers, Javelin
Smite is decent in many forms too but again not something I have messed with personally
yeah i saw a Void Cleave pop build for VK but i dont know how the clearing is
VK in general is very good
Pvt.Vlad has a lot of experience experimenting on Sentinel so he will likely be able to offer way more useful and specific info than me

Ok on the uber version ,it should be like normal aspirational as well ,and the affixes are wrong , the forge weapons corrupt is mid,and rive scales much better with flat and increase than what they put there
javelin paladin can be very fast + good aoe. fastest builds are vk though : warpath, erasing strike and rive

painstakingly got myself a 5% crit 60% frenzy shattered worlds on the ignite guy thats probably just inevitably gonna brick

oh yuck, enchant grind is one of the most unfun things - how does the fork thing work/interact with ricochet/lava burst?

I'm not 100% sure, as far as I understand the fork just creates an extra copy that can ricochet too
lava burst just procs normally on every hit from any shield

Tbh manifest armor should survive normal attacks from uber so idk ,damage this league is quite good overall but not like broken,if ehg would get rid or lower the less damage stuff from forgemaster the build would be much stronger

They do but they get summoned fairly often and its all about proccing as many lavaburst as we can
For mapping its really easy well set up,maybe you need to adjust something for uber
i got a dozen bee idols but if the spell enchants are like a requirement to get damage anywhere then i'm good
You can get bee on belt right as well,for idols the spell echantments is more important having some with bee corruption is nice but like its a pain already getting those enchantments to t7 so I wouldn't even risk it
i hit a single t7 ignite duration enchant for my vengeance guy and sometimes it took 40+ enchants to even see that mod 
Something that needs rework i hope at least they actually work on that for orobyss expansion cause for 1.5 I think its not getting touched

Its a 20% more damage so jormun works well enough,the frenzy belt will out dps it reaฤบly hard unless you go like t7 affix jormun on weapon
the worst bug has been fixed with 1.4, loot filter was bugged and was hidding uniques

now i can see them
They stopped last time around this time so hopefully they still bugfix for like 2 weeks more some stuff should get fixed

But even with this half baked gavel setup I did my 50+ uberroth kills without any issues
how did dualwielding even work with something like multistrike, does it alternate or does one half just deal more damage if mace or sword has more flat (phys exalt mods)
Nah all of the stats are applied in your stats sheet
And when you use a skill, it takes its values from your cumulated stats
At least that's my understanding

You never hit with your weapons

So you "use" them both at the same time if you want

so im currently on my hammerdin (hit) swap and uh.. was like maybe i need more raw damage to deal with overkill clear better for omens (though really its just me trying not to die)
turns out... yeah probably not. i have over 1.2k inc damage plus 350% increases from attributes on hammer

My lich is quite insane but its not good for omen that being said it rests new boss im seconds
but this is just always really unreliable on bosses unfortunately

smite fissure was okay but 2h version just was far from tanky in 800+
hitbased smite i literally respecced to +3 bolts and fissure just to clear the low corruption omen veils <_<
Smite needs more clear in my book cause thats the problem you get overwhelmed
yeah and i couldnt help but think wow this omen veil 3way thing is really anti probably like 95% of normal builds

I've been enjoying Shield Throw VK for Omens lately. Aside from crafting the armor, the rest is pretty friendly.

Well you use HH to get the stacks for your next channel of HH, it snapshots per time you start channeling iirc
I've never tried it myself but I've heard it's better than you might expect

casts 4 times a second
4 times per second, up to 66% chance to get a stack per crit and 10 stacks max
So like 3-4 seconds but you also need to build 100% crit chance, get a high roll and you don't even benefit from critting

Best way imo is to imprint confluence oblivion ,get a timeline to 400 corruption and basically you are going to reset the timeline until confluence procs at the beginning of the timeline,you keep doing this cause confluence doesnt care about distance for loot like normal shade does
how do you mean reset the timeline without it spawning? lowering corruption again?
You reset the timeline by killing the guardians spend 10 corruption,then. You check did confluence spawn if not,you do same thing,over and over when confluence spawn you go do it

wearing my throwing damage omnis right now , 0lp oceareon and empty 1lp vise gloves but already happy with the setup 
that s what i did to get 2lp chains, but sometimes you have to reset like 20 times, it was annoying so i bought a lot of confluence, when it dosen t proc for free after reset, i just go to the cimetry and imprint it. this is way faster. ha and you need to activate "memories of the observer" in the weaver tree or it dosen t work.
if there is no cimeteries after reset --> reset again

you can do either but you shouldn't try to do both
it's not amazing either way & if you go the forged weapons route I think other skills are better at summoning them than forge strike is but FS is needed for the skill nodes that make them stronger regardless of which skill summons them

This is why you need 40 attunment so its 100% iron blade proc which makes forgeweapons spawn a lot faster and more reliably

But neither rampancy nor brutality would be good on it

now it would be different, because warpath is way stronger in 1.4, and swordcatcher has been nerfed

i like the single dps of multistrike (used it for bossing), i don t like mapping with it

blade paladin is by far the best damage node in the vengeance tree though so you're much better off with ailments I think

vengeance is a very small attack so it's hard to make full use of
if you use holy aura's flame burst though you can blow up flame burst on multiple enemies every attack

MA's basic melee attack has no inate cleave right? Or if it does, it's incredibly minor
It's probably the same aoe as basic attack or Vengeance
So how is dps ?it is better than your wildfire build ?
i kinda figured as much. I've never used the robot but people tell me that melee sucks since it has no aoe. Makes me wonder if it's passable with the overkill axe.

wildfire has a certain rng factor with wisps, this doesnt have rng at all which is nice
At the same time, it doesnt have a big hit to propagate overkill dmg
isn't the hit pretty heavily reliant on the weapon you feed it anyway?
it's a little awkward since the axe wants a lot of strength for extra crit multi but MA scales with Att
you can get a lot of flat phys from your body armor too

wouldve probably enjoyed a bee or forge weapon build but seems like they all fall short (or rather fall over) in higher corruption
forge weapons are still pretty good
i was gonna say that sounds interesting with armor corruption too but thats global not local armor

i think the bigger problem is a lack of multipliers on the skill tree
You get Whirwind Strike at 300% ADE with 4 sec cd
As per usual
most minions don't have high ADE
hell saber literally has a reduced ADE
this is the only generic multiplier for MA lol
i think melee MA probably needs forged weapon support to go with it, and at that point you're just playing a less focused FW build

i remember a spell MA build, build was funny, build is 0 button, you don t have to do anything, MA kills everything for you
you run an omen veils, go to the toilets, when you come back, everything is dead ^^
yeah forge breath actually has a few multipliers for it. More fire damage, More Forgebreath damage, and then the generic more damage i posted
funny enough if you're doing a dedicated forged weapons build, I'm pretty sure you don't even need all 20 points since so few of the nodes actually affect the weapons themselves
it's a really weird skill
i noticed, i was like "hey i got some 2 and even 3lp minion rings... wait i dont even need much points"
