nah rahyehs light is up to 25% damage reduction on block so wondered if there was a way to convert a bunch of the other damage types straight into fire

It's not technically a subskill
It's kinda like physical in that it's everywhere, just rarer. Poison is skippable because you can avoid most poison damage by not standing in ground effects and cleansing poison stacks. Void is not skippable since there's lots of dangerous boss attacks that deal void damage in the monolith

You don't really need leech imo since the Aura heals you constantly
And iirc the dmg scale with Healing Effectiveness
So best going with healing eff and ele DOT instead of spell damage/fire damage with ele dot

Looking at vk builds I see a lot of void cleaves with abyssal echoes proc and erasing strike with no cool down - how do these builds sustain mana? I go oom after 1-2 hits if I use those.. 👀
no cooldown erasing strike = void well for mana sustain
ES get a void essence on crit -> when you hit 0 mana go to 30% of your max mana -> repeat

My main issue is to find a way to dump my mana before a boss fight to maximise my dmg
I am setup to really be at Mana Equilibrium
But that should be solve in about 6 lvl when I can unlock Sigils (again)
you're not really tanky though. Armor DR 55%/38%, endurance threshold 1k, so most damage is going through at 2/3 of regular power
My planner was set to max. When I set it to Actual values, it shows Armor DR 54%/38% 🤔

I would add more sustain. It seems HH is your main sustain, but you don't have too much bonus healing.

given you grabbed the 200% increased leech and 2(4)% leech from anomaly thats a lot already
your gloves don't have experimental on them, next upgrade could feature sealed experimental affix. Armor to DoT for tankiness. You could also do Ward per missing HP, because that should allow your leech to continue after reaching "full" hp

it's perfect for smelters. It should have 2s maximum charge time, 1 second cooldown, and health leech is applied over 3 seconds
so you only need a solution for the time between smelter explosions, ie. while you move around

if your standing there and charging smelters and get smack to 20% hp, the however much time of leech thats left from your previous hit kicks in then, instead of you needing to wait for the next hit to leech again

It shows between 200-300k hits, and seeing how every hit eats 10% hp on that harbinger, that means about 50% of your damage is overkill damage on that last hit.
So with Null Portent for example, there's 16% overkill leech, so I'm thinking 250000 / 2 * 0.16 = 20000 and over time it's 6666 per second 😄 and I'm ignoring leech rate bonuses.

I believe its , if a mob has 100 hp and you have 10% cull (cull at 10 hp or less), you do 95 dmg to it, you overkilled it by 5 dmg
yeah, but if a boss is down to 10% hp remaining, then you overkill him by your full attack damage
which means culling is really good for overkill leech

3.3k ward seems pretty low. what about dw with cleaver solution and naal's tooth?

and a death rattle, fang, or logi's hunger amulet would also be good
if you remove 2h sword/axe you can't use Void Cleave, which is a big dps boost for the minions
I tried to keep as little legendary gear as possible to start with.
- logi's is okay, I already considered it for minion crit. death rattle is meh, fang is also okay
- falcon fists are good, but before 4LP you'll be losing crit, attack speed or ward from hp regen, plus solarum bracers are also providing crit to minions

I don't know if you're getting enough ward to warrant it without more retention. 3.3k hp is a relatively easily achievable number
i mean yeah, i can switch to health, but then you won't have the regen
it's not like sentinel struggles to get forms of health recovery though
especially since you're using multistrike w/ time and faith
we started the build discussion here with the idea to build regen so that we don't use leech or healing hands yet again 😄
yeah but now you're using a 2h and you're unable to use titan heart and you're not even getting more ehp out of it

~11k ehp isn't higher than what you'd be able to achieve by going for health and using titan heart. all I'm saying is that you should probably find more ward retention or decay threshold somewhere
so what you don't see on the ehp in the planner is the amount of ward (and health) you regen back over time as you're taking damage
it boosts your ehp vs DoT WAY above 11k
nah I get that, I've played ward regen builds before. I still think you need more retention for the big hits

definitely could be. the builds I've used it on also have other leech/healing options so it's difficult to say how much it's contributing, but it is a good source of sustain nonetheless

anyways, void knight - you're not going to find anything that's more powerful than ES, but if you're looking for something different then DoT or direct cast void smite are cool options
depending on what you throw, it ranges from okay to very good

it's a nice boost for sure but it isn't mandatory. you can also get rid of smite, but still have it be cast on throw for some extra damage. at the end of the day you're a dot build so smite won't be a primary damage dealer anyways

So I'm building my Echo Warpath VK now. It's lv 81 and I'm wondering where people get resistances from especially if I'm using Null Portent? The maxroll guide has the build full of legendaries that all give offensive stats or just health. I don't see a single resistance stat anywhere (aside from +all res when channeling). Do idols and blessings really cover it all?

yeah getting a T7 all res while channeling on a code of an erased seems uhh.. kind of a chase item
I've leveled through like 6 code of an erased so far with at least 16 weaver's will each and they all came out as vendor trash :B

y'all think a 2LP Titan Heart > a 1LP Null Portent?

let's assume both have +4 warpath and maybe the other affix on Titan Heart can be a T5 % health
or T5 flat health, whichever grants more value
null portent seems super cool on paper but it only gives an extra 5% dr
and it favors leeching over titan heart's damage + titan heart gives another 20% health
extra dr + doesn't turn off passive regen
feel like echo VK isn't really getting much from passive regen anyway
its way cheaper to get a good 2 or 3 lp titans heart if your using a 2 hander

+x% health regen doesn't work on either of those two
increased healing effectiveness depends on what source are we talking about.
It doesn't work on the shield affix
It doesn't work on Sentinel passive Aegis of Renewal
But it does work on Paladin passive Holy Symbol
Basically healing effect just works on things that specifically say healing

I've seen quite a few maxroll guides that may not be optimal, some have questionable choices and there are left outs, but not seen a maxroll build yet, that does not cover the basics
maxroll's warpath should be a solid starting point for a build
is there any way to make erasing strike work well without the world splitter
it may as well have a cooldown now lol i have 0 mana 90% of the time
use rive + time and faith
and basically rive whenever erasing strike is on cooldown
it can feel bad doing a builder + spender style of play but it works
splash in void cleave (movement + next es is a crit) and you have basically what I use to get a world splitter on cycle start

Get Void Well no Cd
You will need to slam Melee Crit on it though
And eat up a lot of affixes otherwise

worldsplitter has less flat dmg than other twohanded void melee weapons
its big strength is letting you infinitely bonk without ever running out of mana
many slightly weaker bonks > fewer big bonks
you want to increase the mana cost only if your crit chance isn't at 100%

The balance she mentions in this is a bit outdated now, VK does feel less like a caster nowadays, so I think it's closer to what they intended now

I hate that the one node converts all dodge to armor, I would love to build a dodge FG, but no, sent has to scale with like 5 stats at once for some reason.

if using a twohander, you can equip a shield in your gloves slot (does not count as gloves)
like a shield thats strapped to your arm and not held
throw in something like the shield has reduced stats or you need to spend extra points into the passive to get full shield effectiveness
