a t7 vit is worth almost 400 hp in my build
they specificly nerfed ward builds and ward is still too strong
with or without % increase
8
+2 from apostates
so yeah, it scales extremely well considering you can basically disreguard damage on rings
note: apostates is stinky and stops you from using volitile reversal so its bad
the flat that you gain allows you to gain defense elsewhere
wait
does VR just reset your hp despite apostates
I only ever put the two together on a build that didn't change its hp from apostates
also ignoring that apostates also turns off leech for 4 seconds when you use a spell
You could maybe cook something with the weaver rings + smite + apostates but no if your doing that just use devotion
Do you have to spam click through dialogue or can you X out and have it work?
Good question
Why tho
for the rifts
It's on the void beam spell that gets cast if u hover over the node
You have to spam click through dialogue, figured, but... You know
So without beams that does nothing?
yer
Void rifts that erasing strike inherently makes are a sub skill
Yeah, it casts void rift on kill
I'm having a hard time undrestanding what part of erasing strike is hit and what parts is rift
Erasing strike inherently casts it for you on kill
It makes a void rift whenever you kill something with the bonk
Rifts are hits, too
That too
My wife just happens to be leaving for a conference on Thursday... I want to take a few days off work and go hard ont he reset š
So wait vitality just get's me 1% more for every 3 points
they are just a small circle area spell void damage pop, helps mop things up a bit but not a super big deal
Ain't no way im slaming t7 Vit versus t7 %life on my body then
How many skillpoints does rive need to start feeling better than unspecced hammer throw? ;P
3 vit gives 1% more melee void damage, 24 max health, 3% poison res, 3% necrotic res and scaling for a lot of void knight skills
It helps that poison res is one you want to overcap
24 vit would give, 8% more melee void dmg, 192 max health, 24% poison res, 24% necrotic res
Does ES + VC want tons of vit too? Along with mana?
If your bringing rive it doesnāt need a ton of mana, but itās a Gen and spend sort of play style
I mean late game... I know you eventually want like 1k mana
Vitality helps because making the void rifts from erasing strike do a lot of damage means one bonk and a lot of stuff dies (on top of everything else vitality gives)
I thought you were meaning early, late game 100% stack mana for world splitter
But they have 75% added damage effectives(
Yes
I feel like t5 vit + t7 %life is better than t7 vit + t5 %life, still
For erasing strike at least
To be honest I donāt bother with slamming a chest plate most of the time for vk
Why?
None of the uniques really call out to me as being great for it
Beyond like the new one that gives dr with overcapped res
But good luck getting that with a lot of lp
I thought the same but titan heart with 2lp is like one - two prophecies
What do you mean 15% less damage taken will help you with dots alot more than what...35 regen per second?
While Lagonās empowered hp regen blessing is a thing, Iām not tossing my regen
But Lagon has mana(
Iād rather turn my base like 20 hp regen into 180 hp regen, than get 90 mana
Does MG want to vendor gear for gold? Is it worth?
Double t7 %life on your body armour with 15% less damage takin, just imagine
If it would work with one handers, sure

Yeah...for that we will need to kill aberroth couple hundred times

Cool chest, i always remember smough form darksouls when i look at it
True
No way, maybe some uniques at the start if you are not lazy, most items cost like...40 gold
My idols are 3g
What's the best way to farm gold? Besides actually getting stuff to sell? Just farm as normal?
Keys
But most gear other than those sell for sub 200 gold
I should probably look up an MG guide haha
Build enabling idols sell for a lot early cycle
People will pay a premium because farming idols is owie
Oh yeah, I need to find or make a more buld agnostic filter than I normally do for that very reason...
Even good hp + hp idols are decent money but you will get very low rep for them
For rep i think best option is cheap unique with high lp or something like that
What's the general order for rive nodes? Do you want to giga charge the third strike? Take the bottom right nodes minus the one that skips 3?
Or do like left side ignite or bleed stuff?
I normally go for weapon specialist, the node that doubles echo chance and scrap metal/foe reaver
Idk if the node is actually called for reaver but it doubles the dmg stats from your weapon
With that you can still get the big 3rd hit crit
Do you put all 5 points into the dmg bonus that is tripled for echoes or do you branch into the atk spd side first? Or go brutality and skip the crit and armor shred stuff?
Tripled for echos is nice, crits better tho imo
Tho you should be able to grab both, eventually
Well yeah, I just want to have a general idea for order of operations so I don't have to keep referring to a guide or something
I'd go for double echo chance -> foe reaver + scrap metal -> crit
Seems like a good option to me, for sure.
like he said just hard to find the spot for over res instead of just stacking hp otherwise
and running champs
Yeah
this is the rive tree for full crit
ripples and brutality by far ur 2 best nodes, ripples gives all hits damage so is better value
Oh sweet, ty for that!
attack speed is actually huge value as well, because you need to look at ur overall change in attack speed, depending on build. if ur only rocking 25% and u add another 24% u basically double ur damage
and if ur looking for a gen and spend build, def want it
how can i cast void cleave while channeling warpath? i saw this guy do it this cycle without interruptionand i'm unsure how it's possible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lOTlZWKZ1o
jk solved it
it just does it
have u made it a movement skill
yeah it still stops u from channeling sadly :/ (without this weapon, sigh sucks)
Stops channeling warpath regardless of nodes in the tree, need the 1H wep to make it not interrupt warpath channeling
Wow no one talks about Worldsplitter for Warpath
Am i playing a build that is so 10,000 years old that no one go for it
š¤
actually no critchance
Engiiiiiii!
wickeeeeeeeeeeeeeed
Maybe it's just me playing a weird ol combo that less peepo wants it
fair
Or maybe like draven always said, my warpath variant needs a rework... copium
Should i try a 2LP Apathy at this rate
But i cant go t7 flat void dmg still, it gotta be a t7 crit chance

Reason why i went and try dot build, no fixation with crit and alot more affix room unless i go salt the wound

Feels odd with my VK when the build is so unpopular lol
I think the issue is really that it's not a combo, world splitter doesn't really have any synergy with warpath
Yes apathy would probably be better unless you have some insane slammed world splitter with T7 flat crit on it
I only use it for warrior's fury. Other variants of warpath normally wouldnt spend any mana
I am thinking of finding another 2LP woldsplitter to replace mine. I should prolly get the t5 flat void instead of my existing armor shred
mana cost per second from warrior's fury isn't a mana cost
in the sense of what world splitter wants
Not sure how much that will improve dps but getting another 2LP world splitter and getting thru eternity cache is a pain
Yea, mainly worldsplitter for the mana, mana regen, and crit multi per 10 max mana
I'd say just slam manafused onto an apathy's maw
^ vs the insanely high flat void from apathy but losing the crit multi š¤
if you just want the crit multi I think you'd be better off with just a crit multi affix slam
on an apathy's
Cant have too many affix. 2lp apathy with t7 crit is already a must
get that base crit and get that crit multi = ez
world splitter is giving you +0.5% crit chance, Ima not count that as a thing
You still need T7 crit on your world splitter to crit reasonably
unless your like giga juicing erasing strike's cost, yeah
Alternatively, you could get an odachi or sun beak
But apathy is so strong if you're void
thats the power of a free T7 melee void dmg
Yeah, to be clear I mean specifically for warpath
ye
that on a 2lp apthy would be a lot better imo
The thing is, you can get a sizeable chunk of crit multi from the VK tree. You are sorely lacking in flat damage at this point, and not many places to get that aside from the weapon slot.
^^^
Is there hidden tech somewhere that i didnt realize? 30 manacost es give 15 + 5 base + 9 on es tree, 29 base crit just need some decent % crit elsewhere?
Thereās a node that gives extra mana cost next to the flat crit node
+15 mana cost per point so thatās 7.5 flat crit per point (up to 3 points)
With this amount of flat crit you then just cap with a little bit of crit chance on other gear
Oh ok he/she mean for warpath my bad, all cool
So solely on total base flat void (conversion of adaptive damage taken into account), apathy have roughly 30-40 more than worldsplitter. On the other hand, my current mana is around 550, that translate into 55% crit multi if i use worldsplitter
I am skewed towards world splitter for the additional benefit of mana and mana regen
Comfiness factor i guess
Prolly will reslam a 2LP worldsplitter with T7 crit chance and t5 flat void
How important is the 100% doom chance from apathy
Essentially 18% extra melee dmg taken by enemies at 4 stacks
But i am also using shattered chain and 1 siphon too, so there is already chance to apply doom but warpath status ailment application is abit
doom only gets better as your other buckets get bigger because it's in it's own bucket. for instance if you have 400 cd and 1000 increase damage ur literally giving urself 80 crit damage and 200 increase damage
for this a lot of people will say it's required yes
a big difference however is how much ehp you can actually get on a shattered chains, without a 2lp with 2 ehp affixes on it you can really be missing a lot of health compared to an exalted and have to balance more ehp elsewhere anyways and losing you near the same amount of damage as not running doom. so for that reason it's not required but just strong
Yea i am still using exalted belt until i get a 2lp chain
to get a 2 affix chains is like 150 shade kills, it's basically unrealistic
1.35% chance to get a 2lp and 1/6 to hit the slam, so even worse
lpl 70 it's super not common from nemesis
i managed a 2lp chains on my first one this cycle, and the 4 after i bricked
i meant egg not the random one though
but yeah it's so easy to brick stuff in there (and while slamming)
i just think people put too much strain on actually having a 2lp chains, when you could do fine without it
like if you get a better ehp belt u can go more damage on ring ect it ends up being fine
i think only one of my chars actually uses the chains anyway so i live stress free for sure
yeah i won't be running it on my forge guard
while uncommon nemesis is the most feasible way - got a 2LP Null Portent that way, took a bunch of them though (around 30 iirc, my rng in games is horrendous)
what i hated most was throwing dozens of sun seals at him
istg i'm cursed with that item when it comes to making a legendary
wait nemi can get boss drops on it without the egg?
no i was saying to slam through egg
with a 0LP
but i think veritas was mistaken about what we were saying
well, what I was saying at least
i do find it annoying however that boss drops are frequently 1LP
and then I got confused cause its a boss drop
this just bricks items pretty much
it feels weird wanting 0lp over 1lp
idk if all boss drops are completely exclusive, but checking the loot table might surprise one with a "Random Drop chance"
with how you can force eggs through neme spawns it's the most addicting and legit way of getting high level unique LP stuff rn
with decent luck you can get 2 eggs per minute
yep
I'd be surprised if a boss drop wasn't exclusive
but then again font forget it's only efficient for fast clearers
some people try to 100% all maps
and take hours to reach that point
yeah that too
most things in argps will only be turbo efficient for fast clearers
my completionist OCD kinda screams at me all the time when i dont try to clear a map
š«
thats why I like having the echo objective thing, makes my brain go and I"m done here
yeh thank lord, no sustain no brain just click and blast
i mean we could have had an option to just enter and come out anytime we want, as long as we "purified" enough
without a need for a boss objective
since the normal mobs also drop most of the items
isn't that kinda the ambush echos
just kill stuff -> kill slightly bigger thing -> leave
yeah thats what i meant
such echoes are fine
but the ones where you have to look at 3 corners of the map to find stuff, and hope for a nemesis/mage on the way ... pain
not to mention some dont have straight corridors
yeah
I think its rotting fortress? I love that echo because its one big line (imperial era Wengari Fortress)
I hope next cycle includes something for arena echos
like after you finish it a random thing pops up (nemi, exiled mage, a cache, etc.). Also have the option of fighting a single more difficult wave (scaled to have 20% more corruption than your current corruption) to get a second one
isnt that the one they removed ?
no I def got it a lot this cycle
for the next one i mean
no idea
plz no take my rotting fortress away
even tho I've died on it in hardcore like 10 times
they said it in a recent patch that they're removing a map (or 2) because it doesnt suit the content or something anymore
dang
rotting fortress did have like 3 spots for extra content
and was one massive chokepoint so it was easy for a mega blob of enemies to build up
that might be it
but it's weird i always assumed it was the map that you arrive in after fighting with yulia, right before meeting heorot
when you return to the past
wait in the campaign?
yeah but it's technically a wengari camp too
i love clearing that map because its really short, easy (maybe too much of both) and efficient
?
Thereās no wengari till you go past herobora
Itās a mix of ice elements vs solarium forces
arent the wengari part of the solarium forces though ?
No their a third party
really ? i always thought they were of the same group
the lore even indicates a joint assault on two fronts or something at some point
I think the only time their allies to any humans is in the blood ice and frost timeline where the humans and wengari team up to fight the immortal empire
I always read that as the wengari are attacking because the heroborans are already being attacked
I could 100% be wrong tho
I just also donāt see the wengari surviving solariumās wrath
well i could too, but i went through the lore the first time i played the game
true
Only lore thing I want to be confirmed is if the player takes a snipping of the friendly dryad
Gib tree friend
My brain was thinking to have her show up in the end of time and in the post echos room
And say random words of encouragement
Sorta like the new POE pet/follower who trash talks you
i was honestly hoping to find more past characters in the EOT
like in an event we werent part of, they managed to use the epoch to send the last remnants there
i kinda liked the story behind harbingers with our forgotten knight
however i really thought she would have been someone we knew "a long time ago", like the leader of the rebel camp in imperial era or the female leader in first town
grumpy ? she's a tsundere lmao
i wasnt sure if she was but that story with the squire was funny
One can be both grumpy and tsundere
I wonder if weāll get a farming mini game cycle with the friendly dryad
You can do that btw
Sadly it doesn't make it a permanent addition to EoT, would be cool though if it did
yeah you get one at the end of lightless
The dryad's voice actor is super goated too
actually an EoT npc for beating each dungeon on the hardest difficulty would be cool
Have you grown the spriggan? It's pretty hard to do in online mode sadly, but I think PerryThePig made a video of it
Saves a lot of effort lol
this sounds like bait
I thought there wasn't anything past talking to the Spriggan friend
Nope, you can grow it in EoT. Takes like a mana regen shrine or some other weird stuff. It doesn't work well in online mode though
It's one of the most obscure easter eggs that we know of I think
ah
got a youtube link? google is not helpful with it (its all spriggan form builds)
@barren lark Moving it here because to not spam the dev channel
I did try it. It's very hard to scale because its a Spell and it kinda sucks
If leveling Rive/ES hybrid, what are the key nodes I want to aim for firs tin ES?
Early on the extra flat void dmg is nice
the heal on kill/hitting things node is good
More dmg vs 12 time rot is good
Crit multi is great once you get the guaranteed crit from void cleave
Okay sadge
Was cooking something as a warpath forge guard trying to cast as many spells as possible. I'm perfectly fine with it being a spell, I'm not fine with it being cast by the minion heh
Ooh, warpath is getting a buff, kinda
Small change, but should make clearing noticeably better
For 2h - for sure, probably won't be noticeable dual wield (if it's even played by anyone)
How does dual wield works by the way? Attacks alternate between main and off hand?
treat dual wield as one big weapon expect if your using a skill that has explicit duel wield effects
For VC + ES do you guys prefer the variant with healing hands + sigils + anomaly or something different?
VC + ES + Healing hands + Volatile Reversal + Rive
Oooh so stats from two weapons combine? Even base atack speed?
unless these patch notes change/rework VR, its a huge dmg increase
unsure about base attack speed, but everything else is added together
weapons are stat sticks for your skills
google says it should be the average of your two weapons for attack speed
but otherwise treat it like you have a twohanded weapon
What aobut when you can get to infinite bonk spam?
It'll probably still be noticeable, you'll kinda get a double hit for your first tick on an enemy
Erasing strike + healing hands + volatile reversal + whatever you want
given you have 100% uptime on erasing strike you don't really need much else
Haha, fair enough. How early do you try to pick up healing hands in the leveling process?
around the time you get back to the divine era, I put 5 points into the paladin passive that gives attunement + ele res
since you have time and faith with rive for leveling you don't need it that early
also keep in mind time and faith just happens, you don't need to hit something to proc it
It's not that bad then, but considering 2h affixes are twice as powerful as 1h...i dunno probably an option if you like some 1h unique, like Aurelis
I can run sword + anything, right? Or was it only sword + sword
Cool, thank you
for this, yes but also keep in mind a higher base attack speed (compared to a twohander) is very strong too
Agree but tbh i thought difference in base AS between 2h and 1h is higher tbh
Maybe i want to try Ladle + Aurelis...
0.18 base attack speed is big
Is Ladle considered decent unique or a meme? It looks cool, but base kinda sucks
alchemist or mad alchemist
Everyone running with wrongwarp but sentinel can't use it much
Mad of course ahaha
mad alchemist used to be amazing for a devouring orb build but then mad alchemist got a cap on how many more dmg stacks it could get
so its ok now I think? I dont see many people using it
They only have 83% higher stats
that too
I have lp3 one sitting in my stash, sounds like if don't miss a slam completely it should be better than decent dragonhorn wand
I totally didn't notice I already have VC unlocked, should I spec that before or after healing hands?
in VC + ES you need both VC and ES speced asap
VC gives your next ES a 100% crit chance
Yes, i have those two speced, but should 3rd be VC, healing hands, or VR?
Oh wait, durr, I have Rive + ES, not VC
get that void cleave
Gotcha
you want both obliterator in the bottom left (hit something -> next erasing strike with in 4 seconds is a crit) and then gravity's edge which makes it a movement skill
That I did know
then I normally go for the node that makes VC do time rot on hit
so its easier to get the 100% more dmg for erasing strike vs enemies with 12 time rot stacks
For smite with dual wield i probably want to go VK, right? My first thought was paladin but there are a lot of passives that require shield and tbh stacking attunement on a sentinel that takes more damage because of dual wield doesn't sound like a great idea to me, with VK i can change Smite scaling to Vit and stack it instead, get huge and die to two hits and not one
you can't void cleave if your not using a twohanded sword or a twohanded axe
I believe the smite swords are both one handed
I made a typo VK, not VC
ah
I think paladin is still better for smite? plus the palarus sword is a thing so you'd probs want to be using two of those
Nah, one in off hand and a wand or sceptre
Two gives a higher proc chance, but not more procs per second cap, so it doesnh't really help much
Better to stack +spell dmg
I like the thought of two Palarus cause then you get a ton of armor from your strength but I get your point
I was leaning more to this one + wand it main hand, wording on palarus sounds like it will do nothing for single target but i might be wrong
I mean, you absolutely can dual wield them, but I like the dmg scaling from a wand or a well slammed Culver's
palarus is more to help clear imo, the multi casting smite helps a lot
but strength stacking is always funny to hit the armor cap
What I did on mine for clear was use the throw proc smite idols with the axe chance relic.
and the throw chance paladin passive node
Absolutely wipes echoes, but the ST dmg is ... meh
more patch notes with no increased area bugfix MA š
Need to think about this more, now that i think about it more - void smite with electrify sound counterintuitive but i don't even know how DoT works in this game tbh
Also means storm totem and tornado are still gonna be ridonkulous haha
Will % lightning damage scale Electrify?
Yes
But not % spell damage, right?
Not sure, you can hold alt on an electrify node and get the tags I think?
electrify is an aliment right?
Oh hmmm, it doesn't show. Yeah, I think it counts as not melee or spell, it's specifically dot
I think anything that goes under their healthbar is an ailment, pretty sure.
biggest thing for smite is getting all the sacrifice node for 250% more aliment dmg
read through this page if your new to aliments:
https://www.lastepochtools.com/guide/section/ailment_mechanics
Does lightning smite want to build into electrify? Maybe that's where my ST dmg is lacking
dots are pretty strong
I will, thank you
if your already scaling lightning damage and not doing crit it wouldn't hurt
Am doing crit though
ah
So, Electrify itself has only DoT tag - that means it will not scale with % lightning damage?
Was trying to do a one-button wonder WP build, but am not very happy with the dmg or the survivability. Partly it's a gearing issue, but... Feels bad to grind out gear on it
If you're using aurelis yes, and maybe if you're using tu'rani
It deals lightning damage, so it scales with lightning modifiers
Cool, so stuff that increases lightning damage, but not flat since it isn't spell nor attack, damage over time modifiers, stat scaling for skill that will apply electrify and it's skill tree, i think i got it
% elemental should work too i think since lightning is an element
Right
if there was something that was like +flat dmg to damage over time I'd guess it would apply to it, don't think thats a thing tho
Yeah, and important to note that if you want to scale electrify, you don't want to convert smite to void - taking the thing that makes smite scale with vit effectively removes smite's attribute scaling for electrify and the void convert takes priority over the lightning convert, so it makes it hard to stack electrify chance
plus doesn't paladin get way more lightning dmg support in the 2nd half of the tree
I wonder how attribute scaling for DoT works exactly, like let's say i have 40 vit and my smite gets 40 flat void from it, that means that electrify will deal 44 lightning and 40 void as base damage?
Spell and attack DOTs usually have an added damage effectiveness, so they get flat added damage
Oh i guess Toast answered that
oh wait does the skill that applies the aliment use its flat scaling on the aliment
I should go re-read the page I linked
No, effectiveness of added damage is specific to each skill and ailment and can't be inherited
electrify and other generic DOTs like it don't have added damage effectiveness, so they get no benefit from added damage
but DOTs like spirit plague get added damage
ah
Can you elaborate please, Smite by default gets 4% increased damage per attunement and that works for Electrify because % increased damage works for DoT, but with VK passive Smite gets 1 SPELL damage per vit and that does not work for Electrify because it's not a spell, i got that right?
That is correct
Sadge, no vitality stacking for me then, thank you
imagine if time rot got flat spell scaling
That might make it viable

Is there decent void dot builds anyway? Easy access to void leech in VK tree and leech rate form anomaly with void dot sounds strong
abyssal echos I think
time rot caps at 12, future strike has negative support, doom is weird too
abyssal echos can slap
does devoring orb have a dot effect
Yeah, ravenous aura for clear and abyssal echoes for single target works pretty well
No
darn
This ravaging aura / disintegrating aura guide shows aberroth kill, seems ok.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyODid0kduQ
A traditional one would be using Abyssal Echoes' Decay damage and hitting it rapidly with something like melee hit, devouring orbs or maybe smite. Always watch out in devouring orbs + abyssal echoes builds which one it's using as damage and which one as support.
Yes
Warpath works for hitting abyssal decay, that's why warpath has that node that casts abyssal echoes for you. You can also cast more echoes with Void Cleaves potentially.
Warpath doesn't inherently attack any faster than Vengeance for example but it's fine. You could get more hits from triggering smites.
that's actually how I do it in by build, I sit in warpath all the time and proc AE with VC
That looks cool, that scepter is basically was made for it, forgot about it
welp now I want to do a pure void warpath build with auto cast smite to spin2win
Warpath hits twice as fast as vengeance
plus with the new mini cycle changes to warpath it will be extra nice
oh wait I'm guessing echo hits also trigger abyssal echos
yeah, any hit works
They both have 1.467 base attack speed though? Vengeance also has attack speed node.
Hammer Throw Disintegrating Aura
warpath innately hits at twice its attack rate
You're correct. I couldn't actually find that in lastepochtools builder, only in the game. š
Yeah, unfortunately skill alt text isn't scraped by LE Tools, apparently it's stored very weirdly compared to other text

And on the other hand game doesn't show stat like base attack/cast speed of the skill. š¤·āāļø
well they got me, gonna be here for that free mtx
free mtx?
I just wana see a skills crit chance without doing math
For the cycle event
did I just not look at that part of the announcement
uhh Toast talking bout this
but does it mean... muh spin gonna hit rahyeh while moving in and out or around the bird's aoe?
oh this box
It means you'll more consistently hit at your full hit rate if you're weaving in and out of range, and you'll usually get a double hit in to enemies you initially move into while clearing
yeah, I'm starting warpath for the cycle just to try the one skill that got changed š
still cant visualize it.. sumthing to do with the spin animation?
I was originally going to go full meme and run HH with the anti-undead node for the skeleton killing, but warpath it is
warpath used to tick every x seconds and does damage to everything in the zone, so something could enter the zone right after a tick and vibe there not taking dmg until the next tick
now warpath stabs them when they enter the zone but you can't dance them in and out of the zone to do damage faster
so no more akward hits from an enemy that dies in one stab from warpath because they entered the zone at a funny time
What Engi said, so while clearing enemies will take damage from you "last" tick immediately when they enter range and then get hit by your next tick, where before this patch enemies will only be hit by the next tick
nth to do with this right
so imagine i have a spinning sawblade around me
it is a constantly sawing and dishing out damage
instead of waiting for it to finish a spin, thus a tick?
think of warpath as a zone on the ground that explodes every 5 seconds, if you enter the zone on the previous update, you need to wait till the next explosion before you take damage
now you get hit by an explosion when you enter the zone and then another one when the next every 5 seconds explosion happens
I like this example
yay
š
Is it gonna change visually how the damage text are displayed? or the ticks
spinning sword/mace/axe xD
it does a tick when an enemy enters the zone, then it does the normal thing it did this cycle
so I guess you might see two damage numbers close together
No, a number will still pop up for each hit, just the timing may be different like above
its weird but hey
Okie tenks

lol
Hm, now the question is, what flavor of warpath to do
Leviathan Carver warpath
VK of course - you can get double echoes without converting dmg type or ailments. š
really feels like everything pally and fg can do - vk can do better (save for the exclusives ofc)
paladin and forge guard do not dying better
depends heavily on the build
sure, but paladin and fg lack flavor imo
forge guard is a fire knight? he does it pretty well
and the whole tree supports armor and shields
I think unless you're doing a minion build then you can usually do it on vk better
like rive, warpath, etc.
those are universal skills
yeah well most of sent's primary damage skills are universal
forge guard is not just a fire knight, he's a blacksmith knight
and yes void knight is the highest damage output just from the 1 point that gives u 80 cd š but the other trees give much more defensive things than void knight
VK might not have direct support for fire, both there is nothing stopping a VK going fire either. Echoes will work all the same.
defensive stuff on vk's tree = Eternal Form, Time Flux, Abyssal Endurance, The Leech Node
basically everything else is damage or mana sustain
idk I think the choice between vk and fg/pally shouldn't be "do I want to do <insert skill here> with more damage or tankier" it should be "do I want to do x build, or y build"
^
that's my biggest issue with it
ur never going to have a rive build in all 3 specs that are equal
and that makes picking a spec less meaningful
that's not what I'm saying though
you want to do rive in any tree that was what u said
that is a fair point, but if your not leaning into what makes the specs unique, why got them? like why go a forge guard if your not planning on using the special forge guard stuff
if u want to make a rive paladin you have no support
that is not what I said at all
void knights special thing works for a lot of builds, so it makes sense that its generically good
if you want to play rive you best build is in void knights
x and y are different variables, signifying different builds entirely
okay here's my point:
- most of sent's primary damage skills are universal
- pally and fg's exclusive skills are mostly bad or uninteresting
- this leads us to choose the same sets of skills, and the mastery choice boils down to "do I want to do these skills with more damage or more survival"
- this is bad class design imo
that's not true at all tho
it is
the other trees have more defensive capabilities is the point and support for different types of damage
-
every class works like that with non mastery skills
-
this is an opinion
at the end of the day rive is rive
just because one is the best for damage doesn't make the others worse
forge guard and pally skills slap
just look at draven's giga pen forge guard creation
forge strike huge damage
the minions are cool + strong
Anyone gets healing hands and sigils though, dunno pally could really use a killer 4th ability ^^
judgement on pally is fun af
pally is the least diverse spec of all the sentinels
yeah
im running a forge guard with zero void skills in it right now and it's performing just fine, even using a spear
not saying those specs are bad but unless you're running judgement or minions then vk can do it better
and even then vk manifest armor can compete
it can't play forge strike š
well obv
forge guard also has much more crit support within the tree itself and gains more from things like armor shred for physical builds
strength -> crit multi node?
ill reach the same corruption on forge guard as i did on my rive knight guaranteed
forge guard is great for strength stacking
Judgement aura on pal is fun though
never argued that they weren't fun
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BE5jaMMB here's my forge guard atm

I meant it's not the best but it's worth playing
something will always be the best is the thing
just because one spec has more damage nodes in the tree giving the most damage output doesn't mean the other ones can't specilize in other things for builds that want support in that way, void knight in concept is literally a zerg knight that smashes damage.
my argument is that if vk can do the same thing as pally and fg then it is the best at that thing in the current state. I don't think there's enough builds unique to fg and pally
that's because people just look for big damage numbers
there's hardly any content being made on the game or class either
for the entire 1.1 cycle so far you only find like 3 builds and then smelters wrath bug
void knight barfs out damage
people who want to see big numbers go it, this doesn't mean the other specs are worthless because they do 20% less damage
never said they were worthless just said vk was better at it
Treshhold passives could do alot for Pally
unless your pushing corruption that damage doesn't matter, but even then the other specs end up better because they have way more not die stuff
vk does damage better
not other things
that's the point
the spec is literally designed to be the biggest damage dealer of the class
I mean in arpgs doing more damage is kinda the whole point
void knight does damage better, paladin does sustain better, forge guard does taking less damage better
you can't stall your enemies
....or you could say pal is doing the same thing as vk.
you absolutely can with bleed paladin lol
can't do damage if you insta die
yeah but vk isn't insta dying
these games are determined by survivbility until you reach a critical mass
void knight also does have a skill that literally stalls
Hmmm it can be
sure and so can a fg if you don't build it right
saying if u don't x y or z is the weakest arguement u could have
equal investment and builder skill, a forge guard will be tankier than a void knight and a void knight will do more damage
like no shot if u put the wrong stats on something it doesn't work
that's like saying the sky is blue
pally will do something I haven't built a pally in a while
no shot pally isn't the target of most of the sentinel work
would like to see mor elemental support for pally
pally is generic af rn, but still has interesting ways to build it
make lightning pally go brr
yeah it's boring as hell
I said generic not boring
I'm saying it's boring
Have fun using the pile of uniques for pally
there's only 69
More than forge guard
actually really liking this on the FG
but the ranges on it so wide
25-47 atkspd
might swap to a more fire based build and push ignite damage a bit, puts up so much with the phys rive tree
could try sword catcher too
Always funny seeing a unique built for one thing being awesome for something completely different
*cough* jasper's *cough*

yeah i just hope to find a 2lp
I haven't found one either š
tbh I don't find many of them at all, but I'm not actively looking for 2h axes
and then the skill range actually makes such a big difference, like hitting 35% atkspd isn't so bad but hitting +3 skills hurts
i didn't run prophecies for them so i never saw any
this node is bonkers in FG btw
there is so much crit support in FG i love it
the fg passive tree rework was really nice. I hope the skills get some love too
haven't taken a look at smelters since the nerf
should add that to tooltip hunt
per point of stength ... but the actual thing says per 2
there's a few typos and inaccurate tooltips in the new fg passives iirc
wasn't it orignally 1 crit multi per 1 strength then got nerfed before release
that would have been a bit crazy tbh
Not really, look how much VK gets for a single point
yeah but as people continuously pointed out to me before fg gets much more survival than vk so it balances out š
Uh, not really lol
this node is very disproportional in damage, but it's fine for a damage spec
and yes. forge guard has way more defensive support.
it's not even close
can't forget this one
lmao most of those nodes are terrible
if ur not using a shield sure
even with shield
it's an armor stacking class and the most deadly things in the game are dots which u need to stack armor to mitigate
Whatever you say Nacho, you have your opinion I have mine, is what it is
smh where were you an hour ago
at work mostly
nacho please dont tell me your taking the wacky +10 armor node for anything but block chance
nah u want the block chance so u don't need rolls on gear
ok good
maybe i try ignite hammers š©
why wouldnt ignite hammers work
should work fine
then why the red flag
more of a lightbulb š
Im not sure if I tried that or not at some point
I am extremely confused as to why your using a red flag for a light bulb but you do you
probably half cooked anyways
Void dmg converted to fire when
Illegal
I want void minions
void manifest node when š«£
Forge guard gets a mech when
š
Void knight gets actual pain for gain mechanics when
Paladin gets super holy man mode when
Turns potions in to wine on pickup
replace smelter's warth with a mech pls
honestly that would be dope
Cons: you have a giant hitbox
could be similar to a druid form
has options to juice up minions and/or forge strike
I was imaging like a druid form but instead thereās nodes where you slot in a different sentinel skill so you can use it in mech mode
rainbow edge ignite hammers
If you run out of hp in mech mode, sentinel bails out as the mech explodes and the mech skill becomes a weak melee attack. Hit the exploded mech enough times to fix it and jump back in
Good heavens!
to the builder!
Good luck
You need to pay gold for repairs, if don't have enough they take your gear and you go to jail since mech was company property
Hope EHG will add that to the game i think it fits perfectly /s
Damn even in the end of time I still gotta listen to my managers bs
alright, it might be time to use 4lp kestrel
dang
one thing that is upsetting about forge guard is the move speed, pick my man out the dirt please
nah he thicc af
I sometimes dont even have MS on my boots
mood
even with blood of the exiles ill only have 75 movespeed atm š
my void knight was moving at 130, darkstrides busted tho
šāāļø
if we go ignite hammers and prioritize fire damage smite might actually do something also š
not having salt the wound hurts for ignite
get cast smite on throwing attack hit idols -> get sacrifice -> get ignite chance -> moar ignites per hammer throw
build lookin kinda nice so far gotta finish relic amulet then skills
š
the ignite rate is comparable or better than bleed hammers, it's just the pen im concerned about
but we can use flames of midnight and the dragon boots
other than the pally node, is there other fire pen to grab on tree
use an event horizon just never do a melee swing

shred fire res applies to ignite doesn't it
ignite does fire damage so yes
sometimes it's the simple things yaknow š
shred is just lowering their fire res, I'd be worried if it didn't work
big mood
yeah, even just the silly axe proc in the sentinel tree works fine for that
so is this saying you cap at 1 stack or each attack gives 1 stack
each hit gives 1 stack of each, res shreds cap at 10 stackss
that's how i read it just making sure š

how do i build it in offline š
if you use maehlin's gloves you can use a bardiche or dragonbone axe and convert that to ignite. can also get more value out of the smelter's might passive. then you can also make use of the "bleed chance while wieldinng an axe" prefixes on helm and chest
really interested how adding in chill and shock helps the echo clears cuz u get the ailments even without scaling damage
imagine just perma stunned cuz all the shock
won't work without increasing your stun chance a lot more
plus stunning is reliant on big damage hits, which is difficult to do on a DoT build
yeah there's just a hundred hits
even if u could get up to 10% chance to stun could do some work š
the only builds I have that can reliably stun are my bonk vk and my lightning chakram bd
it actually adds a ton of damage having chill and shock also cuz universal damage
last column
chill and shock don't deal damage
you're maybe thinking of frostbite and electrify?
yer
while chill and shock do provide some nice utility I can almost guarantee that they're not worth giving up all of the extra ignite
chance or pen, hard to say until i play the build to any capacity
cuz it's missing a ton of pen compared to bleed
that's true, but in that case a firestarter's torch is probably better than the rainbow edge
nah i have 1500% DoT already and like 600% chance to ignite, ignite chance should be much better value than just increase damage
pen or ignite is a much different situation
cuz it's only got like... 60 pen?
firestarter's isn't increased, it's 26-42 more
how does the ignite work out vs bleed, with bleed having higher damage but a 3 second duration and ignite having a litle less damage but with a 2.5 second duration
legit no idea, i'd build it in offline if it was easy to do
I'd be tempted to cheat in a character or two for offline mode and test it out
that's the idea š
rather test a few characters that way while servers down and see if i wanna push for something
40 dmg over 2.5 seconds or 53 dmg over 3 seconds š¤
bleed is almost always going to be stronger due to the sheer number of uniques it has at its disposal
salt the wound alone is hard to compete with
blood of the exile, salt the wound, chalice, flayer's pride
plus sent has huge pen w/ bleed prefixes on helm and chest
smite is going to backup a good bit of damage for this, hopefully
yeah but u can scale the base damage
the base damage doesn't really matter when you're scaling DoT though
it's not meant to double, but a 10-20% dps increase just from smites is significant
I do wish a lot of the ignite stuff wasn't built around acolyte
yeah but bleed is going to do way more than an additional 10-20%
and i don't think it's ever going to be better than bleed that's not the point
theres at least something tho if you use hubris
i do very much think this build could do high corruption tho
well you seemed to be entertaining switching to bleed so I pulled on that thread
nah i don't wanna run bleed
yeah then that's moot
but I still think firestarter or an axe w/ maehlin's is going to get you much stronger ignites
they killed smite hammers this patch š
the biggest downside to these gloves is that its not atrophy, but this would help you get a ton of ignite chance
Yeah, firestarter is pretty much BiS for ignite builds that can equip it
firestarter so easy to get 4lp in also
it's also the right type for global fire pen while channeling warpath

alright, completely different topic, but how dumb do we think event horizon lunge vk would be
very I think
i don't like the Cd for the build
was thinking a lunge jav build with spear maybe tho
but that was the main issue is just the wait time
pros, immune while lunging super slowly, downside its lunge
where is the base damage coming from and how are you going to deal with the cooldown with event horizon stacked up
the distance and speed of lunge is super nice, but i don't like it much out of a value skill
actually you don't lunge slowly with dilation. lunge seems to have a set movement speed
its also frustating to use for boss fights
huh
today I learned that
yeah I was surprised myself when I tried it, but lunge dashed straight to the target at full speed even with 10 stacks
which is why I started cooking lol
damage along path node, convert to void, paranoia?
i would just bring like rive or something to do something otherwise is how i feel initially
just lunge through everything?
I think this proccing smites is the closest we'll get
every other node for lunge is extra damage also š i liked it for the frenzy node or whatnot on the bottom
to a real lunge buildd
ok ima go cook with a lunge + damage along path + paranoia thought
that's what I was doing lol
I just think lunge itself as a main damage isn't going to feel good because you can't hit a whole pack with it
but if you have it proc smites on arrival and a barrage of javs that proc smite on hit, you can clear a pack for sure
btw in the offline files you might need this

gotta double check that there isn't some weird interaction between paranoia and dilation though
my dumb thought is stacking as much cooldown reduction as possible while also using the jungle queen chaps with the experimental affix that does a flat reduction to your traversal skills when you chug a potion
aw hell yeah you still move fast with lunge with 10 stacks of dilation
this might just be dumb enough to work
something stupid like this
idk if that'll be necesasry with the cdr from paranoia, the extra charge, the cdr for movement skills passive, and the cdr on anomaly
I wana remake flicker strike in last epoch
Best I can do is stacking CD VC
Paranoia has negative CDR
You can do it with black blade, but it doesn't actually move you, just mirages of you lol
Hmm
Feels like being called out on my bleed warpath pally. Totally not pally-ish themed build
We should be able to summon voidlings to fight voidlings!
š
things are already getting weird in offline
It takes baby Engi(s) to kill baby Engi(s)!
Why this reminds me of troll warlord and faceless void from dota

beans the black blade of chaos comes from the lagon harby

Game didn't crash, that's progress
I like that a hat becomes an axe
does "-3 mana cost for melee skill" implicit reduce the channel cost of warpath?
š
basically ur better off just finding base items and then just adding lp to it in offline
cuz there's no item database
nacho am I being dumb
ok phew not having a brain drain
thank
these nodes will reduce its channel cost
reckless spin tends to look scary, but its ele resistance so its pretty easy to get
this one?
yep
super nice early on just grab that and a couple timeline res and ur chillin
maybe the one relic / amulet with res
the mana nodes in warpath tree are really good. sticking to 4 mana per second for now.
was just hoping i could cheese it with implicits but fair enough lol
theres a good amount of bases that will give resistances
-30% is definitely worth it. not a huge deal.
yeah yoinking the all ele rez from paladin and abyssal endurance from void knight never feels bad
especially give hh and vr are basically core
the void misses you too
Yes, it does
o?
Did someone mentioned channel cost
Using a relic with that implicit, you can get warpath down to 0 channel cost (or save a point and leave it at 1 mana per sec)
dang I was wrong
thanks for the save toast
then why doesn't the channel cost give crit with world splitte ;-;
if thats the case, ill definitely leave it at 1mps
or does it and I'm dumb again
It states mana cost
For some reason, -mana cost and mana efficiency effects apply to channel costs, but everything else that references mana cost does not relate to channel cost at all lol
fair enough
Sadly

The argument for more reduced cost vs warrior fury to go beyond 5/5 so i can spend the mana faster and VR to recover mana fully
I think the silly reason is it's just a result of their implementation - stuff that triggers from mana cost/spent needs the mana spending to be directly linked to the thing to affect that thing, and channel costs are just like mana degen rather than being spent for each attack instance
after 5 points in the tree
thats makes sense
this comes in 3 stages for me, first I forget about it, then I read it and it's neat, and then I remember the fine print that it's only when not hit recently
ye
If ya guys can feel me
Maybe not the best representation but you will get it when u have higher mana pool and see how it interacts with warrior's fury and VR
š„²
meme in shambles
More like memeing it to be 6/5 so it drains mana faster but you also want reduced channel cost so you can see the spinz gets stronger, faster, thicker

I don't suppose anyone knows where I can find a good loot filter that color codes VK stuff as well as MG useful, more build agnostic stuff?
Es enjoyer, how important % doom chance on ring? Ive got 2pcs 3 lp but only 13% chance to doom
Hello! I got a question regarding playing skysplitter erasing strike void knight. I want to play it now in the cycle refresh event. I understand that I need to play something else until i can get the item and some crit rings. But whats good to start with before? Is autobomber still supergood or what to go for? Rive seems kinda slow? Just curious whats around
You can play VC + ES with the auto crit node
With high enough mana / low enough cost you can also activate Azurral's Fury for those four seconds before Reversal. šŖ
Oh interesting lines
doom is always nice to have, but doom shouldn't be a make or break for your build
Maybe I need to spend the rest of the couple hours before reset setting up a filter, since no one seems to have one for MG... Only the build specific garbage on maxroll or letools š¦
so a long time ago i made a minor question/joke on that, because warpath spins 1 direction, if you spin around an enemy the opposite direction, will it hit the enemy faster and more often? Everyone said this wasnt the case and I was thinking about it too hard
BUT WITH THE NEW CHANGE TO WARPATH
I WONDER IF THATS THE CASENOW
its not
Add devouring orbs that spin around you, then it'll matter. š

Endurance threshold based on armor when
š„¹
forge guard: gets endurance threshold based on armor
void knight: gets endurance threshold based on missing mana
paladin: gets endurance threshold based on... uh... faith?
Pala just gets endurance threshold!
pally gets reversed endurance threshold because he wants to stay at high health for some things
Now we're talking
so it protects the top 20% of his health by default
We can really work on that one... š¤
add a few things that also proc when falling under your endurance threshold after that reverse endurance threshold node
You're playing with my feelings now good Sir š
Btw, I need to confess š After 2 Sentinel seasons, I'll cheat on you. Will have a Primalist season next one š¦
My dude, I made so many alts this cycle
Pally endurance passive nodes with some more thinking:
Conviction of Man:
Gain 2% of your maximum health as endurance threshold. 5 points maximum.
connects to Divine Barrier
Divine Barrier:
Your endurance threshold now starts at your max health and works it way down. 1 point maximum
connects to Mortal Wrath
Mortal Wrath
While under your endurance threshold, gain increased 1% increased damage per 10 endurance threshold. 1 point maximum
only ones I didnt do are necro and rogue anything
sad minion gang noises
Not a minion guy
entirely fair
too passive for me, FW work because Im still doing something that whole time
I do wish Last epoch had minions like POE's reaper and transfigured holy relic
reaper lets you recast it for it to attack a spot and the holy relics shoot where ever your shooting
You could try a sacrifice build
I got enough RSI than playing those
Im likely gonna do drive by VC again if I can get the sceptre

Either that dw palarus bear, because that was just stupidly good
you need the goofy combo that is the bear set + double shattered lance set
casually regening like half your hp orb per second
it makes me wish set items didn't stop being useful so quickly
I think giving them WW would be a good idea
thought: don't put the WW directly on the set item, instead its added to the items set bonus, so for example with the forgotten knight's set, it could add affixes to either the 2 set or 3 set bonus
wouldn't want a set item to end up being the most useful by itself and not as at least part of its set
I think straight WW is fine, it's so random anyway, maybe less WW to make it harder
power level its probably fine, but I dont want set items to become just a green unique
gotta play around with the set
I mean, that's all sets essentially are. d4's idea of having the affix be unique that gives the good stuff wasnt a bad idea imo.
Greens should be upgradeable only by nemesis
My point was more I donāt want to see builds using a single set item. To me if you want an effect a set item has on it, you should need to have more than a single part of the set equipped.
For example the sun forged cuirass can generate a forged weapon when your hit, to my knowledge this is a unique effect. Idk what build would want it that bad, but making a system that would allow for set items to be used without most or the rest of the set goes against the spirit of an item set to me
Cound just be a sunforged affix and the more you have of those the more you get
are you saying turn the set items into special affixes?
yep, could even have them occupy their own slot like nemmy items
hmmm
thats an interesting thought, I'm guessing non-set stuff could also be put into that slot
Either than or sets are unique base types that the implicit is the set bonus and you craft on it as normal
š¤
That one already has basis inthe game with the harbinger upgradable items (which it's still BS that you have to have it equipped to upgrade it)
the big problem that I see with set gear in general is that they are never end game pieces of gear and people want even the earliest of gear to be viable in at least some form or another, however it's a piece of gear that will always have certain stats which is already super strong in it's own and without being able to slam extra affixes they will never compete with actual legendary slammed items but people don't wanna use "levelling" items
Almost never you meant. There is at least 1 good set used in high end build
Shout out to the lightning meteor set
The shatterstrike set gets used for sillies sometimes, but you can't get it until monos
pretty much every set works end game, just not DEEP end game.
The issue is they aren't strong or fun enough to warrant using over uniques most of the time
Yeah, some of them aren't BAD persay, just not BiS, which for many is the same thing
Yeah, it's a bad trend imo, not everything has to be BiS to be vialble/good.
Eh, depends on your flavor of fun. Some people's idea of fun IS meta, and... that's OK.
meta is a different discussion, but I think the mindset of only the BiS is the way to play is incredibly toxic.
The problem is you can get any item pretty easy in this game (no talking about high lpl with 2-3-4 lp)
Ehhh... yes and no. Some of the uniques are pretty rare even at 0lp
Nemisus also makes rare to even get 1 lp uniques a lot stronger
Yeah, nemesis is definitely one of the coolest additions to the game.
I mean you can get any item you want with 0lp as cof for example in 1 evening , thats the difference with poe for example
Yeah, it's not easy to get any item, some functionally dont exist lol
And then feed those 0lp into nemisus
We just dont have enough items
You cannot get any item as cof that easy, merchant though
Varants to play etc
False, I grinded red ring as CoF for 80 hours and never saw one.
Use void magic and make one evening be 200 hours
Ez
Oh duh, why didn't I think of that. 5head
Well as cursed proved you can get red ring each 2 hours as cof
Wtf, under what conditions
You just need to farm favor effectively
Which really just means finding the right balance between high corr and speed. If you don't happen to be running a good echo speed build, it's way harder.
Well ye ofc it will be slower but not that much slower
Pretty sure they are finding the best map and then farm the void spawns on reveal objective
doubt that will survive in 1.2
I mean, I don't know how much favor he spent per 2 hours for that ring, but I spent probably 300k favor without seeing one.
So play perfectly is what it boils down to.
