So I haven't played VK since release 1.0 when void beams weren't working on erasing strike, so I went for a build focused on warpath/orb: if I want to focus on erasing strike instead, what do you recommend going with it? I honestly dislike anomaly and volatile reversal (though maybe I can be swayed), but I know void cleave can make strike autocrit, and I'm currently using lunge/rive for mobility and manaless clear (still leveling). Any other suggestions?
Does it provide more setup, or is it actually decent for damage? Also does the cleave cast cost mana or no, because I know some nodes are inconsistent in that regard lol

the IAS is really nice for some burst damage, lots of situations you can get at least 1 extra strike in

after casting abyssal echoes, your next erasing strike and void cleave deal more damage (multiplicative...) to slowed enemies.

the erasing strike tree also isn't reliant on extra skill points affixes for 90% damage unlike rive, so you can flex around a bit and get some utility out of the tree as well, for instance i run 4 points into move speed and the connecting node could easily move those to slow ect

What do anomaly and reversal contribute, specifically? Still don't really understand 'em
anomaly is a big buff button for you, reversal makes enemies hit by its void rifts take extra damage (more multiplier)
anomaly gives void shred, base crit, and other time bubble effects, reversal is your oh no button when u take a huge hit, because it will take you to full hp instantly
you also get atkspd off reversal
quick math, with a properly specced erasing strike, a 0.3 flat crit per 1 mana cost splitter is 22.5 flat crit, whereas a 0.5 falt crit per 1 mana cost splitter is 37.5 flat crit
not counting base crit or the flat crit from tree
you increase the cost of erasing strike through hastened cataclysm
this tree makes it cost 75
haven't seen many taking that path, probably for upfront cost
since hastened cataclysm increases its mana cost it works with world splitter, the gauranteed echo cost does not because its consumed mana
it makes it much easier to cap your crit for infinite bonk
if your build can't cap crit with a base crit of 5 + 37.5 + 9 idk what to say
thankfully once u get enough mana u really onlly need like 90%, it's pretty easy to reach critical mass
this does require a lot more mana to sustain it (like 1400 max) but that also means a lot of crit multi
pushing void damage in idols seems like the play also, finding hard to get enough in subs with all the mana
a manafused slam on world splitter is what you want, ideally T7
the dps difference from flat melee is crazy big, the crit multi isn't really worth

Yea i compared all 4 pages of void beam, they have exact same scalling, tags and dmg. 3 with same general description, 1 with cast 4 beams, travel at random. Description differs when hovered over on nodes like Engi said for different targeting. Heh those who knew about them should be fine

I'm not running one, but the common way to do it is not scaling your throwing damage at all, just throwing speed and manifest armor's bleeds.

No, future strike is just a void DOT. Rive's laceration, locust swarm, and EQ aftershocks (if you take the DOT conversion and don't take the spell conversion) are the main ones I can think of

Again no. The mana cost of blade storm will drain you to zero, because time and faith is not enough to reach an equilibrium. You'd need to invest in some regen to hit that low floating point.

The main issue is that the loss was not due to a misplay and instead the fault of the game
the time to reach 85 is entirely based on the person, not everyone rides a rocket to 85

Okay would you like a different play style look for vk players where we focus on fissure aspect of smite and dot of time rot as well stacking it over the place. for those prefer using hammer throw maybe they need to spec into void hammer skill nods This is just an idea
if you want to do throwing with it you can use aberoth's command to get some spell damage and use void cleave for void cleave's +100 throwing dmg on your next throwing attack node (which should affect hammer throwing ravenging aura)

honestly I'd try the hit crit version of hammer + smite first before a void dot one
time rot caps at 12 stacks on one enemy so its hard to do a pure dot build with it
if you wanted to do dot with it I'd say do ignite but thats better on paladin than void knight

I've got healing hand setup to always cast when I use smite, and it's also setup as a melee attack. My question is does this work with the Sword of Rahyeh passive?
this triggers on directly casting a spell, so cast smite triggers it, since your triggering healing hands on smite, the healing hands wont proc ity
if you've converted it to a melee attack it no longer counts as a spell so using healing hands directly wont proc it because its not a spell anymore

Well, considering that goes against their anti-passive gameplay for one, and for two, if the best way to play the ability is to find ways to bypass getting RSI, something is wrong.

The lasers on shield rush move too fast I think for them to do much, and the ones on ES only proc on kills with the melee hit, except for the "on boss/rare hit" one. So it might be usable against a stationary boss only, otherwise it's just mechanically not viable.

Smelter's wrath effectively doesn't scale with attack speed unless you take the thing that makes it apply to your crit chance. Also, pretty much anything with a cooldown isn't majorly affected by it.

That is bad design, you dont weaken something (unless its actually broken), you buff the other thing. But true engi the floor is lava is real these days.

Like the most melee friendly screen wide attack in LE is the shades triple ring attack, the inner ring is so small you can just stand in it and ignore the outer two and dodge away when the inner ring explodes

You dont have to make everything a 10, not everything needs to be perfect and that's impossible. It needs to operate within a certain range. So anything under 5/10 needs help, something that is a 7/10 is fine, even if it isnt as strong as a 10/10

I'd say that one shots have become a crutch, and that anti leech mechanics should be instated to shut those kinds of builds down instead of punishing everyone.
Iād much rather play an arpg with massively inflated player hp but much slower regen, I believe this would make boss fights a lot more interesting to play

i mean i have no issues with one shot builds if they have been built specifically and well for that sole mission

I disagree, getting one shot feels so much worse because there is no feedback. Having a debuff that decreases your leech/regen and could potentially be cleansed is far better.

I'd be happy if they nerfed health recovery across the board (to still be better than ward generation) and then buffed max health so getting one-shot on a health build gets a lot harder
Halving health healing, doubling max health could be interesting
