shouldn't 3 points in cutting edge basically cancel out the increaset cost for removing the CD? Then you only really need like 1 mana regen affix or the relic that gives -mana cost to melee attacks. How much does bash cost for you rn?

The graph on tunklabs isn't outdated. You can scale it as much as you want but like with any other stats, you get much less benefit per % the more you stack it.

To put it simply, the higher in corruption you go, the bigger your Increased Item Rarity, the more loot you'll drop.
If you have 100% and get an additional 10%, you essentially have 10% more. If you are at 1000% and get an additional 10%, that is only 1% more. So the higher in corruption you go, the impact of going say 100 higher will be less and less in comparison
i get what you are saying but statistically going from 0 to 10% would be on average same increase in loot as going from 1000 to 1010 no? so there is no point in stopping the increase

There is also increased LP chance for Uniques which scales with Corruption. Not sure on the formula there though

Arguably, there could be an incentive to go super high corruption if the ratio of speed vs the extra item rarity you get is better. Anyways, you get the idea haha

I wish thorns had a way to scale the damage. as far as I can tell it's typeless so it doesn't have any kind of multiplier to it. it just ignores defenses so it's basically only good at clearing trash

the reason you dont deal dmg with thorns build is that you only reflect dmg after YOUR mitigation
so the tankier you are, the less dmg you will reflect, so its exactly the opposite of what you would want
there's a flat thorns stat in this game

the real problem with flat thorns is that it wants you to get hit a lot. fine for trash, really really bad for bosses, rares, or things that use DoTs as their damage
only problem is then you run into the issue mentioned earlier where that actually gets worse as you get tankier
if shield throw wasn't garbage in single target it could actually solve the ST issue with sigeon's reprisal. if there were a skill that scaled with thorns somehow then you could handle bossing with that
I'm at 1050c with reflect damage. I utilize a shield with reflect damage and ring of shields. Ring of shields take your shield's stats. With 8 shields and increased minion life you annihilate bosses. Its the low damage things that are a pain
that's interesting. I didn't know that RoS would get the reflect stats too

you're probably better off with a good exalted shield for the bash build
Sigeon's has low block chance on its own. The implicits for a better base would go further I think

people are using the rings on any minion build because they give base minion crit and +2 ranks to minion skills. they're kinda nutty
look at the amulet. it's a necromancer amulet but gives minion crit multi, so they use it
the glove buff is 99% likely to be irrelevant. it's just easy access to skill ranks and base crit
Rank 1 is running a kestrel too. That seems kinda budget to me
its bis armor for that build
which is a problem honestly, it shows there isnt enough itemization in the space

I mean it just does the normal generation for rares, you normally dont notice because it's hidden by your lootfilter.
You can get some crazy Exalted items from it, though.

They get really good once you get into deep monos

Javelin for -25 cost
lunge for mobility/culling. probably sigil for buff
Javelin is a trap, you want one of the skills that can proc time and faith for mana restore
If you're not gonna use MS for auto FS, I'd say rive for the mana restoration node inside of it for no CD, otherwise it's whatever you think feels good.

Yeah (100%-355% chance to upgrade when a Harbinger is slain) is replaced with an implicit that gets minimum or maximum roll based on that percentage.

harbis are not easy
They're both pretty easy, any comptetent build can basically just facetank their attacks. Even my novadin hammers has no trouble with them because their attacks are mega telegraphed and don't do that much damage.
Lagon's a harder boss fight than them, lol.
The upgrades aren't that big of a deal, you just upgrade them if they are already good anyway

Lagon's harbinger I found easiest to deal with by mostly staying in the middle and just cycling up and down, in an eliptical pattern.

Up on the ledge. She still uses her standard attacks, summons waves, and occassionally does a spout of Lagon's beam.

Waves and beam don't do nearly as much damage as Lagon's versions, but still dangerous. It's mostly that Harbinger's fire spear that's dangerous.
I am also melee, but maybe Rahyeh's is weaker? It does a lot less dmg than Rahyeh, that's for sure.
Her targeting seems weird with pets. It will telegraph the wrong way for a few frames and then adjust.

She lifts her spear above her head and slams in to the hole, if so, and then another hole appears under you, always misses as long as you're moving.

Having 60% less elemental damage taken, big bonus armor, and then extra duration + haste, attack speed and more after channeling is great.

What's cool about the left part of the skill tree is you can make it so you have like 5 seconds of all those buffs after rebuke, helps a lot when tanking dot sources and whatnot.

Yeah, there's three nodes that give you the buffs for half your Rebuke duration, increased by up to 30% if you take the furthest right node, and then you can take the increased duration node as well for base rebuke.
I believe it. I've died a lot because of it. It's a very powerful skill but the tradeoff is adapting to the muscle memory of using it is big.

Yeah. I just don't like how the damage buff requires you to group up enemies first. Especially as you get deeper in to like 1.5k corruptions, grouping enemies is a death sentence

I was actually using a Rive/Forge Strike build last cycle that worked for this. Used the Rive that pulled enemies in, then I'd forge strike them.

You will need to stack crit for the build to really come online. It does mediocre damage until then. That's why having +3%-10% base melee crit chance rolled on to the weapon is critical for the build.

Other than that you're stacking Strength, Block Chance and Block Effectiveness on every piece of gear along with the normal stats.

seeking some advice from experienced VKs. Just started a VK for the first time this cycle. I just hit 85 and have a world splitter. Been playing some erasing strike builds and about to respec, and I am seeing two archetypes right now:
Mana stacking, running void cleave, abyssal echoes, and volatile reversal (the series that Captain Battlaxe put together)
Or the healing hands variety that MinMaxRPG posted recently.
(I've also followed the bonk knight from previous cycles).
My first 85 levels, I was having some sustain issues (didn't have enough survivability and was mana starved... know my gear needed love)
I'm curious what experienced VKs are seeing, and if there's a recommendation for a VK scrub as to a direction to go (or tweaks to existing guides that might be worth pursuing).
(example: I see minmax and bokchoy both used the node in void cleave to guarantee crit for erasing strike, reducing the need to get crit on the gear and reduce mana starvation vs the end game build from battlaxe).

For rarer items aka world splitter with LP I try to avoid items that have nothing on it that helps stat wise in order to not slam useless stuff. Unless it was a free nemesis slam then ignore the advice

banish almost never makes sense anyway, only if you are afried the Nemesis would kill you. Not sure what happens with empower with an empty egg, but probably nothing...?

I enjoyed Ignite Falconer last league. Didn't push corruption super hard with it (and a passive didn't work that gutted my dmg), but going back to bleed should be similar.

You have endurance on a lot of your gear. Endurance is very underwhelming right now. Replace with HP / resistances. You have crit multi on the sword and ignored the Cyclone of War passive which is +2-10% BASE crit. You can get points back from taking out of Unchained mana cost, moving 1 to Reckless spin mana cost (2 Unchained and 1 Reckless is pretty close to mana neutral).
I would think not taking the cull passive is kinda rough, no?

hello guys i'm playing with void knight, i have opened anomaly skill, i was using abysal echoes for auto cast from void cleave shread void resistance and etc. is this anomaly skill better than abysal echoes skill. should i switch to anımaly ?
can you specify what you mean specifically with your question? a lot of voidknight builds use both skills
somepoeple say with anomly i can get better damage output with anomaly but not sure if it is better than abyssal echoes. i was just asking if if i shoudl siwtch to anomaly insatead of abyssal echoes
you use anomaly for 2 things , as a self buff and to debuff bosses, abyssal echoes you automate with void cleave to shred resistances, so in short you use both skills, whereas 1 is automated (echoes) and the other you use on demand

there are two types of harbingers who also get a few skills added from the timeline boss
vit stacking for rive was already viable before this, it's a really good change
formosus harbinger being able to fire and forget the cold line attack is really something
I just did the stolen lance harbinger and I'm glad at least some portion of my damage is automatic. So much downtime dodging linear nukes
worth it though. basically the same dps as my old wand with higher stun and bonus leech
its rare to find them with actual useful stats
I couldn't remember if sceptre was one of the ones with useful upgrade stats. flat spell is great
combo that with a crystal skull, have a nice 5 + 6 + 9 base crit before the skill tree

Would it be better for a FG - DW or 2-hander for a minion focused warpath(flame convert>spelldmg) run? 4X more on-hit shredding and ignite with DW, but two-handers scale forge weapons better + implicit

only ever really used HH primarily with divine bolts and used the ward conversion i never used the healing part to know how efficient it is last league i was sat at 80k ward with 1.5k hp and no other defences this league with 80% CA all res over capped and like 1.8k-2k armour im getting 5K ward and dying to everything hahah

The dot is a fire spell, you can scale it with both, however more specific affixes tend to have bigger numbers so fire > elemental > spell
Getting a ton of healing effectiveness will boost its base damage a lot too
yeah just confusing having multiple DOT affixes that can be on the same gear as "increased spell %" or "increased fire %" and knowing whats the most optimal setup

Basically your scalers are: Fire Pen, % Spell/Elemental/Fire Damage/Damage Over Time, Shred Fire Res (Vengeance, Shield Breaker, Void Cleave, Tornado gloves), Healing Effectiveness (1 spell dmg per 5% healing effectiveness), flat spell damage (375% effectiveness, 120% per second) of any kind (fire easiest to scale)

I had mentioned this last night. Just hit 85 and got a world splitter (and have a cheap seed of ekkidrasil, the inevitable boots, 0 LP siphon of anguish, a strong 0 LP pair of darkstriders, and a shadow beacon).

yeah, I understand void well. from what I understand, people either use the node in void strike to guarantee that you crit with erasing strike, or build crit/mana up enough to just count on getting a crit before you lose mana to keep the uptime
and because my mana is only about 350 right now in my current config, I am planning on using void strike with the node
either or work, hitting the perma bonk levels of mana gets silly because with attack speed you just murder bosses

Yeah. I got a bad roll on my helmet. My chest needs replacing (unlock a new one next level) and my gloves being replaced will help, just need to backfill resistances
what do sentinels (paladin) use to go through lagon beam if you get cornered? Do they even have an immunity etc like the other classes

Yeah, same applies for all mana consumption effects, they aren't mana costs. It goes off the mana cost you see on the tooltip, basically.

That's essentially what's above, but the big dot is popped over and over for instant dmg
It felt good for me, I focused on spell void mostly, abyssal echoes for single target and rav aura for clear. I didn't push it very far though.

Warpath only deals an On Hit attack for the very first attack that connects while channeling. Same with other channeling skills/spells.

Yes, it would work on each hit for rive.
Dont sleep on Warpath though, the healing provided by leech, and the damage reduction while channeling warpath can still provide good mitigation.
But if you want that to be your primary attack with Healing Hands providing the heals, its just not doable.

Using Hand of Aurelus? That wont work unless its a direct cast of Smite. Smite does have the option to provide heals, they just wont be healing hand heals.
At least if you're proccing the smites from the sword itself.
If you're wanting healing hands procs, you'll want to use Rive or Multistrike (added bonus, armaments can be turned into smites as well), or direct cast the smite.

Im using Shield Bash with Healing Hands (Mostly for some extra damage and heals) also holy balls I have like +75% Block chance base

they are very niche
the thing that sucks about sets is there's no way to get them with LP. so the effect has to be insane for it to be worthwhile usually
my Phys Rive Forge Guard uses the last bear set, and its really good, but its dropped off a lot once I hit Empowered.
So theyre great to play with until you hit the wall, then its time to think of the big leagues.
biggest advice is 100% crit avoid, resists, and health/armor. easier said than done tho
even some standalone pieces are good for some builds, like the Ferebor rings, or the green skull..

Each different mechanic is rolled completely independent of all others (with the exception of dodge, since if you dodge then none of the others roll at all). So you can still either block or not block a 0 damage hit, even though all that does is determine whether "on block" effects proc.
40% hp is better than almost anything if you have it with 2lp even on 1h builds

The 3 main variants I've seen are that one, the VR + javelin one and the VR + healing hands (divine bolt on cast) one. Not sure which is best to run.
I'm making my own judgement build focusing on aura so I have VR for the added DOT up top right of tree
jav gives a buff to judgement when you toss it and hit enemies. 60% more damage to next judgment, think thats why they run it.
I love div bolts but I focused on the ward side and struggle a lot more

still a little low on mana (so getting mana starved), health is too low still (but solvable), calcs in LE tools don't seem to match what I have in game for res and mana... so I am not getting credit for 'something'... but step in the right direction

I think that getting everything with 3-4 lp and exactly these affixes is certainly unrealistic.
Also: i don't think the gloves are good, if you go with weapons. And you're way overcapped with resistance.
Looking back on a battle I recorded, it seems I actually underestimated how effective time and faith actually is.
Like if you get like three fourths of your life chopped off, you can get back to full in a reasonable time if you can get enough hits with time and faith.
Does HH divine bolt smite build do anything better than warpath smite?
just planning wanted to focus on the aura from judgement ill admit i started to get lazy/sloppy when looking through stuff. this would be what id aim for but just putting those types of stats to see the numbers im used to divine bolt HH with 80k ward last cycle lol so not used to DOT related builds

Like you'll just be dealing so much damage if you remember to stack crit multi on all your other gear.
The damage of the build is very gear dependant. On the flipside, you don't need to worry about defenses much, your tree has that covered.

It's not equal, but about the same-ish.
But I don't think kill time is significantly increased compared to when we had DDR.
Like, if your dps is very low then the kill time might be a little higher than it was before.
If you spend a lot of time not dealing damage to a boss, kill time would actually go up.
It is a very flawed helm but the implicit alone makes it a huge upgrade compared to what I had.
