FG Novadin I made/altered from the Maxroll build. Should be about ~40%ish more DPS than the one on maxroll that has really weird ring/amulet choices.

seeing the one on Maxroll not use Sun Seal is wild, that ring is basically warranted on every build.
and none of that is like bis gear either could be min-max'd way more
So time and faith got a slight rework to heal missing health instead of a flat amount. They really didnt think this through

wonder what kind of build could really use that weapon fully
warpath paladin is perfect for it
I thought Warpath doesn't count as melee hits, but just hits?
Yea i'd agree, lightning smites generally considered the best, but fire and void arent knocked off and thats good fire warpath right there
Unless I'm mistaken and read the wrong thing last season, I read that Warpath explicitly doesn't count as melee hits.
Maybe you read direct for all the people crying about HH?
That was it, that jogged my memory.
warpath counts as melee hits, it just only counts once per channel for healing hands, but it doesnt have that limitation on this sword
Because it does count as melee hits, just only 1 direct unless you set up a mouse scrip to spam click and hold warpath for half a second, which makes HH work LMAO
I had such a script on my Warlock last season because it was so god damn click intensive lol
These old bones can't stutter step like they used to back in my RTS prime.
Yea i can believe it, i had to set up a highly specific one to make shield rush at least half work right when going against all the desync
i just saw a legendary with a sealed affix on it from nemesis wtf why is that possible
Think it was a click and hold for 400ms then release then click and hold again on a loop
I really want to test that bleed build, if it ends up better than my crit minion build I will switch... hmm
What, forge strike bleeder?
Yep. I've gotten pre-sealed Exalteds from Nemesis as well, some insane ones.
Honestly I'm really happy with the Nemesis system. It gives a use to 0LP Uniques and the chance to get sealed Exalteds alleviates Despair drop issues.
Theres so many god dam ways to run forge strike bleeder. As long as forge strike is set up virtually the same way each time, it doesnt matter how you setup the rest of the kit
Forge strike and vr? Sure
Forge strike and multistrike? Sure
Forge strike and javelin? That works too
Well well , looks like a good start for me !!!
My best Nemesis drop has been an exalted Champion Regalia that has double health rolls (one is T7), a sealed T6 Armor Hybrid, and then Strength / Flat Armor.
Welp, now thats a fat amount of build choices you can go
Just depends on how you wanna run your smites and if you wanna direct cast or not, i'd love to do a triple lightning smite wave nuker with that sword
aye
is direct smite viable? I never tried it, seemed kind of grief.
Yeah - def not slamming it until I find the best exhalted I can in a week
direct smite is good
Its one of, if not the strongest sentinel build
Interesting.
Direct lightning smite, has always been one of the top 3, now that it has HH as well, i wouldnt be surprised if its #1
Mind sharing the build if you have it? I might make an item filter and roll a third Sentinel :kekw
Ive personally never made one
But i hear about it often, i remember a guy a few years back who's lightning smite tooltip dps was in the millions
I'm hoping one of these days we see a Hammer Throw specific unique... I'm a sicker for my hammerdins.
Sure tooltip dps is trash most of the time, but sweet jesus
I dismiss the dps tooltip with a very wide margin for error. I've seen first hand how its calculations make no sense lol.
ie; watching the DPS tooltip go up when equipping crit items, while wearing singularity.
Nowadays you'd prob run what, devotion and drago claw?
for hammers?
Lightning smite
Oh, unless you were using Palarus'
I hate hammer throw in every game, hace never touched it
And yea, drago claw main hand, palarus off hand would be sweet
i will never understand how tooltip dps works because wtf does this mean
I love throwing hammers, lmao. Sadly the best weapon for hammers is Eagle Wing.
Do you have the holy aura flame burst?
yes
My smite gets to around 300k dps , not sure how they get millions .. but Iām still kinda noob
Is Void Knight any good this cycle?
Are you lightning smite?
Also craploads of cast speed
Yes lightning
And devotion amulet, drago claw, what else is there
But dps for smite is measured per second . So 300k usually averages around 8-20k crits
Around 100k crits on bosses
Isnt electrify smite better ?
Naaa, i mean its still strong yes, the lightning blasts if you decide to take them are additional hits for dot stacking
question: wasent there a talent or item that summoned all sigils in one cast or am i remembering wrong?
i know there is a ring that summons one every 10s, but i thought i remember from 1.0 there was a talent node or something that summoned all sigils in one cast
GOd damn the smite mana once you proc it with multistrike is out of this damned world
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-X268a7Tc8
Thorns not working to stop elites healing
Is it normal for Manifest Armor to be squishy during leveling? Does he get tankier when end game gear arrives?
YEA LMAO, im messing around on my multistrike/fs leveler, and picked up smite and HH, and holy moly
Bob scale of your gear
So make sure to have tanky gear
Considerably so, hell even Wrouk on spellcaster MA paladin, held the #1 spot on sentinel leaderboard for like 2 weeks start of last cycle
hh can at least be made free
Smite can too, if you run a caster main hand
but yeah the bleed build you cooked up needs something to make it shine I think, also the ST seems like it would be a problem since bleed application is lacking on pure st
Though idk why you would, lmao
Thats just one way of doing it, my primary playstyle is javelin forge strike
But forge strike VR will slaughter a boss in seconds
The main forge strike route also uses abyssal echoes for its dot increase and bleed pop
Ohhh this might actually be very good for my ignite minion build once I get that ring.
anyone knows if the divine bolt healing hands paladin is still a thing? wanted to play that before 1.1 nerf but didnt get the chance
You'd have to search it up, but someone like a lil under a year ago made a fantastic bleed build with that one caster bleed off hand
much lower ward damage is similar
You can make it a thing by running it.
I'm sure they would have been able too yeah. I was just more interesting in the version you cooked up with MS and Smite since it looked fun
I needa get the rogue falcon gloves, they're basically just better wing guards that allow crit
Synergizes well witht his node.
The rogue falcon gloves that give yourself and minions melee fire, and then the new ring
Although now that I think about it.
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BjKKb0Do and https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/AK0g5eNQ found these 2 variants, one proccing from healing hands the other from smite. Im a bit of a noob and dont know well which one would function better, can anyone give some advice?

Would the bleed converted to ignite even work for minions?
With the new ring? Sounds like you'd have to test that
there is still no way to respecialize my mastery (i.e. from paladin to vk) , right? ( just asking in case i missed some patch notes)
Or manifest armor
nope still not possible
Yea that'll prob never be a thing, they got a lot of flak for it on launch and didnt budge, so i'll assume it'll never happen
99% sure it does
Is it possible for nemesis to give more than one legendary mod?
Hell you could do a masteryless run too! š
welp, time for break until next cycle then, ty for the answer ā¤ļø
Ive done that once, that was my only rive build that i got to 80
it was pain
Don't you have to choose one as part of the campaign?
Nope, because you're in the end of time regardless and can brute force the mono's
As for respeccing mastery. Why not respec from mage to rogue while we're at it? š¤
If you were offline you could have, but yea, not online
so good item
But you can't do the rest of the campaign right?
They won't change mastery respec anyway, they want it tk be meaningful choice and are making a lot of QoL for alts
Yea thats the downside, but i wasnt spending talent points at all, so all that really locked me out of was idol slots
Yea only way to do mastery respec is offline, since save is client side and theres programs that'll let you swap
Either way I don't really think mastery being locked is a problem.
Offlines fantastic for testing letools theorycrafted builds
I mean if we're gonna do that, might as well make respeccing passives free. And make respeccing skills free. And also give you all the points from the start.
Maybe start you off at level 100?
Maybe let you pick out all of your items from a cupboard?
yeah i love getting a 100 like that offline for testing
I mean, offline has programs that allow you to do everything you just said
Hence why its fantastic for testing theorycrafted builds
Can definitively test builds offline lol
helps figure out a build is bugged lmao before spending 10 hours farming for it
Lucky day - lp4 palarus and a lp3 fire starter torch ā¦
I remember a buddy telling me about a program that let you straight up type in uniques, add the affixes you wanted on them, and print them out into your inventory, as well as change mastery freely and all that jazz
What's a good amount of ignite stacks I should aim for on bosses? I'm at 350 currently.
I'm liking this cupboard idea tho
If I make a new character after getting this one to lvl 100ādo I have to do all campaign again ?
no campaign skip offline but lots of shortcuts
Yes
But you'll have keys and can do the dungeon skips
Also theres more quests that offer idols and talent points than the cap, so you can pick and choose which quests to do. Im sure theres a guide out there for dungeon skipping
Ok cool
how does Void knight stay alive? he has a lot of leech on his tree but all of his attacks have cooldowns, am i required to spec for cooldown reduction to not die?
High armor goes well with leech
But that's offline.
Yes
For testing, I'd assume.
Also yes
Theorycrafted a build but dont know if its going to suck major balls? Test it in offline first
VK is no different than the rest anyway, you still need to cancel crits, cap res, get some endurance and 2k+ HPs
60% Armor + 40% of which covers DoT, maxed resistances, 2.2k health, ~60% endurance, 500 endurance threshold (I wanna get this up), ~65% reduced damage taken from crits
That's just what I have atm, with VK leech I'm somewhat durable
@polar spire have you tried thaty bleed version you cooked today?
yeah makes sense, was just confused for a sec because long cooldowns paired with leech seemed counter productive (and pal having healing hands with healing effectivness on his tree) but stacking more armor would likely make me not explode instantly
All you want now, is more health, and 20% poison resist above max
The forge strike one? Dog thats been my main build for years
Also since you can save manip offline you can also skip campaign can't you? Just flag quests as finished, change your start location, flag waypoints, etc.
Thats the build i do 5-10mill bleed pops with
yeah with the smite and everything? how the hell do you do st lol
Something tells me you dont understand how much damage forge strike bleed actually does
How does forge strike relate to bleed?
Apparently not enough to be on maxroll hahahah
The build for the most part is mainly st, aoe is the part thats actually just a bonus
Thank god, i hate maxroll
You speak as if maxroll are the absolute authority on things.
I was just joking anyway, it's nice to see excellent builds outside of the guides
This old lady started on letools and stays on letools
They're just a group of humans.
Oooh good point, forgot about poison res reduction. I'm aiming for 2.5k health and capping out crit resistance.
They are cool and give out good ideas, I don't consider them an authority for anything, not even PoE. I do think Wudijo and Raxx are incredible on D4 though
And if you still ever struggle with a one time specific boss mechanic dont neglect just throwing rebuke onto your bar purely for that mechanic, its an actual life saver
Anyway, was just a joke, I didn't want to start a maxroll critic review haha
I do not. I'm just checking the flow of the build and it seems all over the place with the way mana works on this build. I can't help but feel like taking the travel node from smite off lends itself to more FS manualy and automaticly
I gotta go anyway. I'll try to update my current situation with DW FG MA/Warpath. Butter smooth to emp mono, but I need to fix the gearing and defenses now
thats because the mana part is all over the place
At least in aoe on fat packs
On ST its completely fine, which is where its made for to begin with
Seems I'll so need to emphasize ignite over crit as I can't seem to find a way to make warpath damage relevant at this point
On ST, forge strike procced multistrikes ignore forge strike cooldown, so you can weave in additional forge strikes off cooldown for additional bleeding
If you're willing, what mechanic is that? Harby mechanic or dungeon?
No idea, depends on you and your build, im just saying any mechanic at all in the future can be straight ignored with rebuke. So if there ever is a boss mechanic straight ripping you, just throw rebuke on
Wonder if its better than the minion forge strike, it does look a lot better to play lol
By the way, if anyone has an idea to turn Ravaging aura into fire as FG, I'm listening. I feel bad that part of Aberoth is not used currently
It also just depends on how you want to play forge strike bleed
Theres like 50 different skill and gear combinations you can run that all work perfectly fine, as long as forge strike bleed is setup the way it is, but can also be partially set up differently
Like javelin has a node that reduces next melee mana cost by 25 and gives forge strike 60% more damage, you can make forge strike a ranged melee and kite enemies while rotating javelin and forge strike
That ones my most fave variant of bleed fs
Lmao I would never have thought of that for bleed
And you can even chuck HH in since it hits the target of a melee, so you're hitting enemies with both forge strike and HH from off screen LMAO
That's nuts
At risk of sounding like a brown nose, thanks LE Sentinel chat! I've had a couple questions over this cycle and everyone's been super helpful
eagle strike is an expensive haul for a bleed version
hi guys, last season i've played marksman and spellblade. I want try new class, i'm thinking shaman. Do you think's do high level will be difficult with this class?
it very much is you need a loooot of + skill to make that one work right, luckily its really easy to get 30/20+ on forge strike
this was my current plan, may go bleed
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/oXkW30EB
Especially because of the axe

⢠Throne of Ambition
You have a multitude of + skill weapons, logi's amulet gives +2 if you take the first middle right node on forge strike which makes the +2 count, its phys so thorn slinger works, if you run fs as fire, wings chest works, you've got the new rings for additional + skills, weavers will relic, and then you have +4 on chest as well
blade catcher also has insane bleed% on it
so that should work out nicely too
And you can run experimental frenzy boots and have its frenzy effect up 24/7
can you get smite below 2
or does it also trigger on the smite without traveling beacuse that is funny if it works like that
Lets see here, if i equip all + skill gear for forge strike, and set the rolls to max
You can get forge strike up to 40/20
the what how?
so after extensive testing today for couple of hours, i found out why the ward sometimes dont spawn when i pass the threshold on boss HP
if Thorns/reflect dmg tips the boss hp from one side to the other without me actually hitting the boss, it will bypass the ward and not trigger it
this i believe is connected to why it wont stop elites healing with the affix "heal if not damaged recently". Thorns for some reason dosent count as damage, but as a straight deduction somehow to the mob (thus bypassing all DR, resistance etc. flat amount of dmg)
and activating the ward on boss HP is connected somehow to when the player "damages" the boss or "damage" pass the boss hp over the treshold, but since reflect isent classified as "damage" (theory, no confirmation) it nullifies the activation of the boss ward
do with that as u like š
also because of this, when there are elites with auras that reduce dmg allies take within the aura, the other enemy units still take the full thorns damage. it does not get reduced by this aura
thats the no smite version yeah
does str scale forged weapons?
yes
STR will scale em, and if u use any affix with minion in it, they will scale off minion physical, melee and area, but no other minion tag
Im back a couple days later, any updates on void knight builds yet for new seasoin
wait for real? I thought Forged Weapons only scale with Attunement, and the Forge Strike itself skill only STR.
hmm
it seems u are indeed correct. it dosent say so straight up, but one can infer from the gains hp/dmg from attunement would point towards weapons scaling off attunement.
yes, cuz attunement bad if str did everything you needed for the skill š
thanks for making me double check š
manifest armor is minion skill too but it has str scaling too, so not sure str for forged weapons may scale both
,Hi, im running the bleed hammerdin from maxroll. I really dont understand how smite could add bleed stacks, am I missing something there?
someone posted a 88% healing effectiveness 52% armor shred idol for 0 gold in the MG , i had just refreshed and was about to click buy and it got sniped
using alt on skills u can see what scales. STR scaling on manifest armor only lists HP, not dmg
and if u dont hold alt skill on manifest armor u wouldnt know about its forge nova that it has š
Strength scales only health for manifest armor, not damage.
In other news.
I just vaporized normal mode Rayeh. Normally he gives me trouble.
Nice
Iām curious what i should slam this with .. like Iām a caster smite but you canāt add cast rate to swords I donāt think ..
I don't think so, but you can add flat spell damage.
Yep
Idk but damn Grats on the 4lp
This seems like a sword that can be used in two ways.
Either melee smite procs, or manual smite casts, both are enhanced.
Sphere relic with int and attunement 50+each will give me a faster cast with this
Although it doesn't have to be a manual melee hit.
Might have to think about my build now
So stuff like counterattacks from that node that nobody ever uses can also proc it.
I wonāt use it for melee
I donāt like melee tbh .. played rive and caster feels way better
To each their own.
You have a lot of legendaries already. You've been burning the midnight oil.
Also melee only got me to like 900c where caster took me to 2k
I'm not even at 100c yet.
Oh last patch
Literally just beat Rayeh. XD
Now only 200-300c this update . Iām more focused on arbor runs now trying to get the armor
Whatās the benefit in making void cleave transversal? Does the tag help with cooldown from gear?
No armor but this is nice for now
So im messin around with beastmaster primalist aspect of the shark + event horizon and uhhhh... Hmmm.... 8000% phys damage
Thats actually stronger than when i messed with 6000% aftershocks
And aftershocks double dipped, whew, event horizon gon be nasty on so many setups
insane

Kazaktar barma wws
What's the fastest way to add corruption this season? Glyphs of Envy? This is like a well guarded secret in the game, and it's pretty annoying. lol
needles
push 1 harbinger to very high corruption
oh, ok. The things harbingers drop.
is it normal while i use shield rush it not regen my mana?
It's confusing because the side quest marker doesn't appear on the timeline that i have at 150 corruption? So do i do another one, or keep going?
Don't have to answer, i'm just a little annoyed. lol :0
do you have more mana regen then shield rush consumes per second?
Shield Rush doesn't allow you to regen mana (I don't think they changed this one)
is it me or is healing hand's ward generation kinda bad?
wait really
dang
I am not at my computer rn but I don't even think it has a channel cost
I never realized that
^^
It got nerfed and fixed because it was crack op broken over the top
So not sure how it is
Do you have a lot of Att + Heal Effect + missing Health > Ward affix?
are there any sentinel builds that doesn't take ages to kill bosses now?
are you using volatile reversal
I hate that answer lolol
Im playing Ballista falcon, just asking if Sentinel are good now š
hey I dont like using it either, but like 100% more damage is 100% more damage or whatever the math says
If you comparison is Falconer than no
I guess that answers it xD thanks
Sentinel has good builds, that are fair given their gear investment
Falconer is way too strong for the gear it requires
The decision between forge strike and Smelters Wrath is tough
i have all the pieces yeah, atk speed, heal effect, and the missing health into ward affix. im sure i could squeeze more percentages out of it, but it just seems really bad considering the amount of effort required
so by starting with Falconer I might've built myself off playing other builds? x_x
i was regularly getting 10k ward last cycle without even trying, but now i cant even reliably get 1k even with full healing effect idols + draining health + ward gen on hit
Sound about right
You might have spoiled yourself indeed
Rip the dream. might have to completely rebuild my character then
so what are some great sentinel builds now then? any that can beat abberoth?
I'm guessing every class can beat him
im done
people were saying earlier u can shield bash him to death through permastun
I mean with low investment sorry & acceptable timeframe
Anyone has a nice shield bash build for forge guard?
it becomes the best movement ability for a Sentinel if you click that node
bro š i didnt see the platform position, never saw this fight
The maxroll guide is kinda the way to go for pure shield bash. It's really just stack strength and block effectiveness.
bro LOL
you did not go quietly into that good night
ok man i died again, this time it did a melee attack š
maybe i should watch a video
any1 know any good void beam builds?
ok the camera changing as you walk up to the big portal thing is sick, + a closer look a the chronowyrm is sick
I do also like that is basically just the fogotten knight's house
I dropped the new axe shield but don't have the other 3 uniques lol. Guess I'll wait for nemesis to maybe egg it and hope for lp
Oooo lala found a fun build for the void cleave scepter + shield throw shield >:D
Okay. I might be cookin. Event Horizon Mace with Vengeance for all the weird procs it has built in
Better get that vengeance 25% AS
So one thing i dont think people noticed about that void cleave scepter
been messing around with forge gaurd this patch, how come talents and items that increase amount of forge weapons can't exceed 6?
Ok so void cleave scepter made void cleave "instant" but like, VC's already instant
This actually makes it so you can now Void Cleave during Warpath
Yep.
dream lives lol
beefy
Grab the shield throw shield, run paladin, and use ALL fire skills: Warpath, Void Cleave, Shield Throw, Abyssal Echoes, Smite
I am forge guard for ring of shields
Build can legit go both crit AND dot and do both well as a hybrid
but I am starting to think maybe I was wrong :3
tilted i cant get more than 6 forge weapons even with plus 3, plus 2 and plus 4
Nah FG is fine. Stacking Block Effectiveness and easily reaching 100 block chance and free Armor makes you tough to kill
Should I ignore threshold?
I'm sorry, what do you mean Threshold?
endurance/endruance threshold
You definitely should be able to.
If hardcore no. Can ignore for softcore. Just hit Armor cap and Res cap. 3k health sounds safe enough. More health better of course
There is an armour cap
?
are there any builds that use these 2 items, either alone or separate that would be considered strong? (palarus on the left, aurelis on the right)
multi strike with smite?
Yes, 85%. I don't know the amount of Armor needed though
Multistrike Paladin sounds good for this
Cool umm also what would be a best 4th state on boots here? armour and crit damage reduc? Sorry I was always a mage or rogue so I know nothing on tanks xD
health?
Ez enough :3
fire smite warpath with just palarus is incredible, and multistrike lightning smite with both would be fantastic
hybrid or pure?
Hybrid always best, but add both if possible.
hybrid
if your finding stuff like that, hybrid
can you help a brother out here in what it would scale with on paladin tree? so i can try to not fail in building it
Feels like an Attunement build. Since Smite and Healing Hands scale with that stat.
Then add Javelin with the support mode that auto smites in a radius as a flag buff machine
you know what, im gonna try it. what's the worst that happens! when you make an alt, do you have to go through the campaign again? or is there a skip
Actually forget Multistrike and cast Smite directly, gives you an additional skill slot for Sigil or Volatile Reversal lol
thanks for the advice guys btw š
the devotion amulet is really good for scaling lightning smite
any other uniques I should look at for a shield bash, shield throw, shield ring, healing hands, sigil fire build? beyond the 1h axe shield and sideons
The biggest change from Rogue or Mage to Sentinel, is that in Sentinel, the implicit stats of gears are enough to cover a lot of defensive holes in your stat sheets. They also have the unique attribute of using armor for DoT damage reduction.
man I love RNG, I threw a chaos gylph at cold res and it turned into hp
wasnt that an experimental ?
theres gloves + chest armor with them as implicits + the weaver sentinel relic gives a bunch
plus sentinel uses it the best due to beefy armor stat
huh okay good to know, guess I will try get that on my gloves
its the eternal gloves base I think, whichever is the highest level glove base
@untold sky
Would that really be better for a fire build over the fire implicit lvl 68 armour?
700 base armor is unethical, the armor to dot is a bonus
Yes. You don't need overkill damage later on. You need to not die the later you are in the corruption level
I mean fair
look at your character sheet, how much increased fire damage do you got
damn final boss is to hard with melee abilities
arpg gaming
hahaha nothing almost atm because I am using The last bear set at lvl 78 xD
Sure, but that node alone just changes it to ātransversalā does that lead to any benefits in cooldown or distance traveled down the line?
ok get increased fire damage and go for the champ armor
wait like actually none from your tree?
i have 1060% increased fire damage nice
hmm lets acually look, its 104 to 257 atm lol
spwent last 2 days target farming sigeons so the rest of my build has fallen way behind lol
ah
what do you mean? it does exactly what it says it does
Reading is hard for arpg players ok š¦
it becomes a longer dash and has a longer cooldown
and when fighting a boss or something just click it next to you and you dont move
^which is sometimes actually good when playing a tank character like Ravaging Aura that uses Void Cleave as a part of its damage rotation
finally
Okay Vengeance with Event Horizon prob would be cool. But man you gotta scale some attack speed lol
gotta find some more attack speed
Anything that turns armor into damage?
Equipment or Skill Tree specific?
I guess both?
multi strike has a node that gives damage based on your armor, I don't think theres any other?
how much armor is good
85% is cap. Try for that as close as you can
is there a way to preview blessings? like what all a certain mono can give? on reg not empowered
Thornmail on Forge Guard skill tree. Scales off Armor Mitigation %
Equipment, I'm not aware of any atm
Warpath vs Hammer throw guys?
im hitting training dummy for 3m now
thanks!
i prefer the gameplay of warpath and its much easier to build as it doesnt require specific idols but hammer throw seems to be stronger atm
heyo sentinels. I didnt get thechance to read through all of the 1.1 patchnotes yet, is there a chance that a forged blades army build is viable this season ?
i went hammer throw, and struggled for about 75 levels before i got idols, and some pieces.
It's great now though. lol
It's one of the hot flavours. The question is more of, which variant is the best? :)) I don't expect it to be broken like other builds tho. But definitely superior in a lot of ways compared to 1.0
is there a way to make smite apply bleed?
nice thats good to hear, I love the little glying dudes
theres a new unique ring that allows glove stats to apply to forged weapons and forge guard in general got some pretty nice buffs
Ive wanted to go for a semi afk warpath spawning blades build since release xd
Guess ill be trying that out then, sounds awesome! Thanks yall :)
So pally would be the safest bet on my spec?
Perfect. warpath + forge wep + ring of shields work. I prefer it being an ignite stacker more than a crit build this way. Since your shields can apply fire dot.
Crit is a different way to build so see which flavor suits you friend. Good luck!
šš»
so im guessing youre also playing with a 1H + shield then ? Ive seen some nodes that look to buff 2 handed weapons with forge weapons though, no ?
so has anyone figured out the optimal way to build for minions? crit damage? raw damage?
I mean sure, you get 70% more chance to proc on a 2hander. But that's only on yourself. Doesn't matter when you have 20 shields and 12 weapons at 70% already
Whats Raw Dmg ?
Thats a good point xD
as in just stacking more added damage, % multipliers etc
for example, the difference between using an odachi and an obsidian axe
one has super high crit boost the other has higher base damages and minion boosting
TIL you can just access your stash if you find an egg on a nemesis.
Oh! Hit based is always better as Crit
Singularity gaming.
is there any downside to starting as a hardcore character btw ?
You die in the game you die in real life. That's the only downside.
Uh yes. the despair and sadness of death.
so the crit damage stacking will always win out in terms of dps?
if you live in Canada you still need to die again before you hit real life
Doesnt share your SC stashes, what ever you loot in HC stays in HC. If you die you go to SC and dont have access to whats left in HC
I mean, crit damage is a more modifier that you can stack through gear.
when you die and become a regular character you lose access to your hardcore stash and keep only whats equipped to you and in your inventory
Yuh. No way raw flats will ever beat crit given stat roll limitations
So like, I can see singularity gaming only being a thing if you somehow have a hit based build that cannot generate enough crit chance to matter.
Yes, because Crit Multi is just that strong
Baseline is 100% More Dmg
There are no real pay off to go non crit
if you could stack sigularity idols maybe?
Which you can't.
so anyone got ideas on the ideal gloves to use with the phantom grips if going odachi? some were just using the solar bracers for the crit rate boost but it feels lijke there should be a good unique for this
Do not stack and dont affect Forged Weapons any way
But if you could. Idk.
yeah
Falcon Fists
It double dips and give so much stats
falcon fists? isn't that just some attack speed and a bit of base fire damage?
the base fire damage applies to you and your minions so the minions get it twice
Sounds like stuff you want for Gloves for Forge Weapons and Manifest Armor š
What we have here is a failure in my reading comprehension. Ty.
attack speed is great yea but BiS over all other options? and the added flat damage is not really relevant at higher levels, you getl ike 50 or so flat fitre damage when you are already doing like hundreds
meanwhile voidstriking your weapons gives them like 250 a shot
flat is still relevant at higher levels
I don't think there is just double checking. There isn't a node to give Smite a buff tag correct?
I mean it's not nothing just curious if it'd truly be BiS
especially when you can have stuff like gloves that can give your weapons like 40% more crit rate to abuse Odachi
If with Void Cleave buff you mean for Forge Weapons, then yes you can. But I will agree that I don't like to call it BiS.
you'd want it with some LP but its quite a good base
which is kinda what I mean. if we assume for example your weapon is odachi and thus you're trying to abuse that high crit damage modifier, what would be probably the ideal gloves to take the stats off of with grips
81 flat and 81% AS and 2-3 lp is achievable
so it's been confirmed that 2 grips def double dips?
Dang Titan Heart just boosted my health from 2.2 to 2.7k
Yes
any good unique gloves for warpath leech void knight?
I do kinda wonder if one could abuse wing guards on something like a raw damage ignite/bleed armor shred stacker
i'm assuming the weapons take the "can't crit" thing
Dreamthorn
thats a sword
haha i thought the name looked familiar! i actually used that for the majority of my leveling
Oh! Sorry read too quickly
no worries lol
actually if the grips does double dip, that means Salt the wound actually gives huge crit damage multiplier right?
@bleak breach I'd personally aim for an experimental eternal gauntlets with the armor applies to dot affix
can anyone point me in a direction to a good endgame void knight build
oh i've passed up on so many of those... is it actually good?
eternal gauntlets gets it as their implicit, killing an exiled mage can have it drop with an experimental affix that provides even more armor applies to dot
its great because sentinel gets a lot of armor so dots stop just instantly draining your hp
I browsed through the options on LastEpoch tools for a unique base. Raven's Rise for resistances, Rise of the Simoon for Fire Pen, Burning Avarice if you need leech, and my personal choice assuming it works as I hope for, Salt the Wound.
it would look like this
that's an area of my build i need to work on asap, i only have 1k armor, i'll start lookin into that thanks!
what level are you?
my only question on Salt the wound is how does that conversion work on the weapons. like would you be losing some of your crit modifier to it or does it only trigger if say, you use poison
cause if you need armor, these two bases give you basically all the base armor you could want, then have a good amount of strength to %boost your armor
78 rn
Yeah your right. Not worth it since we don't naturally cause Poison as FG. Unless you use that 1h axe + Shield 2pc set lol
Hmm wait a minute.. shields from ring of shield may be nice to bounce my shields but they cannot be used to rpoc the throws and so in a way bad for me
same question for anything other than chest, got a few ascendance runes to burn
Does Faith save you from oneshots? (from Sigil of hope)
watching my echo smack a harbringer for 20% of thier max hp is fun
i really like the echos, they look cool, are cool, and are purple
Fighting any void boss, on vk, with the forgotten knightās cosmetics on is purple overload
no such thing as too much purple š
Good point, thatās why I got two purple pets š
Man I love purple
do pets follow you 24/7 or only in towns, i may have to look into getting a purple pet haha
They follow you 24/7
is anyone playing shield bash
Curious what level I should swap from forge strike to Shield Bash.
why does there feel like such little support for straight HIT warpath? Like im just trying to spin around killing similar to brutality cyclone in POE
even Fire warpath would be nice
Any hit build is going to be scale crit as much as possible
Void knight can echo warpaths for basically multiple of you warpathing at once
I wish Smelters Wrath had like a charming animation
should i put move speed or attack speed first in priority?
Whatās your current move speed?
31%
Attack speed? Also whatās your main skill
34% and warpath
Probably move speed then
How viable is smite warpath pally before you get the idols and vortex pennant to scale via throwing?
I'm just clearing campaign with one and it seems okay but just okay
Was there always a way to skip the Liath fight in Ending the Storm?
so much dmg
??
Does the Sturdy Shields node in the Ring of Shields tree affect us or just our allies?
You are your own ally
Okay, thanks! Couldn't test it for myself yet.
Its a rule in LE, unless stated in the node you are your own ally
Gotcha. Thanks again.
? Warpath is fine
vk warpath is great, just not as great as imbalanced mage class
Is it still runemaster dominating? I saw most guides were for sorc at least
sorc has earned a cycle in the sun, after being meh at best for a while
It's sorc, but alot of is tied to ward being lolbusted still
That's not to say other classes don't have good builds, it's just Sorc is like in another stratosphere
alright, the gods have decided to let me live and Im about to use that time to make my builds everyones problem
Like I haven't seen one person really abuse the new sceptre yet and I'm pretty sure it's lolbusted
which one?
I'd guess this one
that one, abberoth's command
Oh that one, yeah, that's gonna be pretty good I feel.
void cleave being instant means you can use it while warpathing
make a build using the full gasper set (:<
do not doubt the power of my memes engi
I'm pretty sure fire cleave/warpath dual wield is hellah juicy
fire void cleave? you need a 2hander for void cleave tho
sceptre removes req
Oh this would be easy actually

like, you wouldn't be pushing high corruption but I can see a build with this tbh
it's better to convert to fire
you can pick the warpath node that lets you double dip on bonuses
the ravaging aura doesnt convert to fire
^
you don't care about ravaging aura, you care about the instant cleave and aoe
When does Holy Trail leveling fall off?
Or you scale vitality and run void
I dont care about better, I care about the memes
yeah you could run straight void hit based
it's a shame you cant dual wield the sceptres though, 100% void pen would be amazing
cyclone of war 2 gucci with fire dual wield though since you get base crit and fire pen
hey engi you want a build planner for that set?
Ya that node is insane
This is dr3ad's build for it, Paladin https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BrOJ6M5o
My warpath pally farming at 600c. Pretty happy with it since I donāt have to hit buttons
Lvling FG and VK today. Have 3lp palarus and firestarters torch. Hit lvl 16 and go brrr
wait this is like perfect for my build lol, no clue this thing existed
siph of anguish one of the best rings in the game
it feels cursed seeing an exalted sealed affix
yeah im abusing a ton of on hit effects in my build doom and smite and other things like time rot (tearing chunks out of bosses atm and not even geared out)
nem was the best thing to happen to sealed imo
I didnt even know exalted affixes COULD seal
Nemesis is a nice addition
its great to craft, but nem is the only way to get exalted sealed
yeah i just wish there was a pointer or something to the bodies lol
nemisus is funny
Sadge
So, with the gaspar set, is each of the dmg types gonna proc decimate on it's own cd?
I mean I was expecting something random, but these stats are dogpoo.
time for ignite hammer throw
I wonder if someone out there will put down some gold for this.
Like any amount is fine lol
I would if I wasnt gonna have to spend WAY too much on scaling like....9 different dots
Wym 9 different dots?
damn it had my first death cause I lagged from frost elementals ;-;
Wait
Now that I think about it. I have died only once in the entirety of this playthrough.
I also got this one tho.
Might be time for me to revive spark spellblade XD
it's a shame warpath doesnt keep the fire tag if you also take the void one
you can grab future strike from the vk tree
that is DEEP in the tree though
wouldn't call it thaatt deep its the 0/10 there
I am also not a VK
abyssal endurance and devouring blade would work, to get ya too it but it is a lot of points
I tend to shy away from conditionals
Yes
on one hand yeah, on the other things die a lot
Unfortunately no Cold Skill on Sentinel
Do indirect casts count for gaspar?
Ok so I also vaporized normal mode Lagon. And without any traversal too.
No
are there any busted ways to scale throwing damage with uniques or is that basically weapon-agnostic? Trying to plan out weapon upgrades for my shield throw forge guard and aside from like a bit of % damage there're not many affixes here worth a damn
Unfortunate otherwise you could use the new spear with holy trail javelin to get lightning + cold Gaspar procs off of javelin
Do alts get waypoints?
No
they do get to join the item factions early (assuming you've reach them on a different character)
that's less helpful than it sounds, though, since favor gain is based on xp
yeah
For single Target , get the node where the shield can ricochet from allies , also Bob will be your best friend for that
It allows you to use faction tagged items and get faction bonuses early
Faction rank is shared between characters
not lookin good for rive in this set up
Anyone playing smite idols this patch? The 10 per 2 seconds limit feels brutal compared to the old 36% unlimited chance
The idols are great
Enables more builds. If youāre overcapping then use less idols
void hammerdin lowkey slaps lol
i legit dont think rive can keep up with multistrike for stacking dots
YES !!!
is there a dps tooltip for Forged Weapons? i.e. if I change the weapon my player is using, I want to see the estimate of DPS impact, with several factors such as dmg over time, minion dmg ove rtime, chance to ignite/bleed, etc...
What build is this?
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/QbzxyrbQ working on something like this lol with the new void cleave weapon when i drop it till then i run a 2h sword or axe to use void cleave to apply rav aura lol

nice beacon
now to get some overleech
just casually leeching hundreds of thousands
I have zero idea what to do with this
slam onto a 1 lp helm and hope it hits the smelters?
I dont think even I can meme hard enough to make smelters work
My Smelters Event Horizon doing well
no, even horizon is doing well, that thing will make any hit based build work
Lol. fair enough. But Smelters gets rid of the downside of Event Horizon
the AS part, not the movement part
Would be extra nice on Rive Lacerate š For some Extra Meme Power
lol, it takes you a year to swing three times but by george when you do
Im assuming you went full crit with smelters?
Correct. I basically Healing Hands charge, forge strike, sigil, charge Smelters
man Void Knight has too many fun skills, its too hard to choose which ones to build around
void smite sadly doesnt really feel right so im looking if Erasing strike might be a better skill to build around, tho thats seems very single target and not good for clear (also mana intensive)
Erasing Strike Event Horizon is obv good
get the new axe
That thing is crazy too lol
world splitter?
ES clear becomes screen wide
i got a 0lp one with a low roll tho sadly like +0,3% crit i think
Im smite hammerdin paladin (is there a way to make it autocast or something fun like that?
iirc isnt there an idol to make it cast on hammer, tho you probably have it already if its the maxroll one
i have the chance to smite thing
For the forgeguards out there are you guys using warpath or multistrike in between forge smash
No the ward was massively nerfed
if you mean autocast throwing attacks to proc smite, wouldnt Riverbend Grasp work?
or pillagers gold
ok, adjustment to the meme build for now, because fml those void items are expensive
I can try that, will let you know thanks!
do note that both have a cooldown of 1 second so you wont get a lot of procs that way
altough it is some extra procs or afk procs
How bad is it to have 8% fire red in empowered mono?
Iām switching from Rive to Devouring orb, so need to full change gear, and the new one has only 8% fire res lol
I tried with that but its for axe not hammer
the axe is a throwing attack is it not?
the idol makes throwing attacks proc smite, not only hammers
Yes, but when i looked it up with it says (Spells that will get additional throws is axe throw)
you will take like 1.7x fire damage dropping from cap to 8% fire res, it's less brutal than failing to res cap in certain other arpgs but still hurts like hell
Im not 2 sure ab this, so i can't say 100%
btw axe thrower in the sentinel tree would also proc it assume
axe throw is a throwing attack and counts as a hit so i dont see why it wouldnt work
the phys pen in shurikens doesn't get turned into lightning pen if you swap right
Oh thatās not that bad. Once I find my catalyst and 2nd ring Iāll swap. Most likely around level 85 ig lol
Yeah i dont know. But it didn't throw any extra things when i tried it
Try asking in #šŖārogue š
Wait is the DW shield build a meme or actually good i alwasy waned to do that in video games
It's pretty good
Good with Shield Bash ^^
fg eatin good this patch
aweeesome
wrong chat
I'm not seeing anywhere that multistrike would proc healing hands?....
Cleric Hammer inside HH tree
HH has a node to turn it into a melee attack and trigger on hits
would this add more to the div bolts node in HH also providing HH costs 0 mana??
or is it a single extra bolt?
I believe I tested it... Cant remember
Guys I need help, Im at the point where I need to choose a spec... Which spec should I go for if Im planning to play warpath/hammer throw?
Spec? Mastery ?
vk
Give me 10 minutes and I will test it again. If I have the idols somewhere
no rush, you dont even need to test if you dont wanna im just curious. with HH proccing div bolts every cast this wouldnt really do much unless i heavily invest into more which reduces my healing effectiveness
Hey, after thinking with a friend for some time about voidknight, we couldn't really find any build that really made it seem good like minion FG or lightning Paladin? Is that intended?
id say VK is sentinels better mastery for builds vs the others
what? void knight is hella strong with a variety of direct hit-based builds and can also do solid dots
Rly? I was just looking around skill interactions and stuff and nothing really jumped the eye...
there's a ton of power in echoed casts, especially with some of the idol affixes
šŖ¤
Erasing Strike is legit the core VK skill and it cooks
gonna be honest minon FG feels strong af right now. I'm having the same experience playing minion Fg as I did last season playing stuff like wraithlord necro or arrowmine rouge. seems high tier tbh
traversal void cleave>guaranteed erasing strike crits was one of the first builds I cleared empowered monos with
i personally dislike vk primarily because im not a fan of melee but ill still admit VK is best sentinel mastery
disgusting! everyone know FG is best! š
pfft....peasant healing hands pally is the best XD
I honestly think it might be becoming unironically true. people are legit not really understanding how strong forged weapons are with the new rings and changes
vk effectively has two more damage multipliers as it's class mastery bonus
no worries about that, im playing thorns FG, so im bottom of the barrel regardless š
Echoes are a 20-30% more multiplier for anything that can trigger them, and give extra hits for ailments and such. And anomaly is great for basically any build
We'll know in a few weeks what's strong when the blasters start putting out tierlists. That is if they're still playing
I feel like fg has a cap because it's hard to get crit multiplier for minions and it doesn't have the near infinite scaling of old wraithlord. They also can eventually get killed by mobs since there's infinite mob dmg scaling.
damn, just got this for my Rive Void Knight š Insane dmg now.
does Righteous Overload on the smite tree also convert to void when the node is taken?
I'v gotten like 300% already just from like 2 pieces of gear and I'm not even forging yet
there are some gloves that really let you stack it
have you ever checked an equipment slot and realized you've been uh, not paying attention?
absolutely (also with skill slots)
i am lvl 76
So you get 1 Bolt
i see nothing wrong here, just BIS š
had a pal where i forgot to put my holy aura into my skill bar till like level 90 Monos (i specced it the entire campaign)
I swear my brain is oatmeal
good to know, thanks
Imo you would rather have Heal Effect Idols
What is the OP fotm sentinel build this patch? I know last time it was healing hands due to ward
26 % chance to get 1 extra bolts is kinda bad
I think u get 100% for existing and t7 gloves maxrolled with 2 perfect rings is 200% but where do you go after that? Lp weapon or odachi for cof or not max rank mg?
I'm at 500 ignite and 100 shred stacks on the dummy now. I'm not sure if I should push that further
the fact you can even get that many stacks shows they still dont know what to do with dots lol
what am i supposed to do here.
Vigor checked, use rive and healing hands
Nahhh, just leave sentinel again, clock in with druid again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Jw7yQ30nQ&ab_channel=PerrythePig
Don't know. I spin so fast Dual Wielding with Warpath and Sigils, I'm at 150 ignite on my own.
why
that is very much a no mr bond, I expect you to die moment
i got like 8k armor during the fight
I dont know your overall ehp, but I know for a fact these new bosses are overtuned, new ones always are
How much armor tho
Only a little overcapped on fire too @obtuse perch
only void physical and lightning is important
Fire kind of overcaps on its own
question. if i as thorns FG can comfortably do 100+ monos/mono bosses, is T2 temporal sanctum feesable?
i better not die now
the rings actually give 3X rounded down not double since they double dip
Currently 41% unbuffed.
I mean, if that area is a dot that isnt gonna help you
nvm resistance gon
I'm gonna work on armor and health as I go.
Oh that's weird of they're giving 300%. I don't know how the math would end up at 300%.
I can reach 50% block now though which is very pog. 10% less damage here I come.
crit avoidance and block is bad i believe
no i'm saying it equates to 3X the glove's effect rather than 2X
50% block means 10% less damage from the passive node.
so it's more like 150% not 100
Yeah that's still weird. Must be a bug
what is
it's just how it's applied. people were theorizing it might work this way before the patch was even out
so that's 250% from just your base crit mult and the gloves alone. add in something like the black blade of chaos for an additional 170%
7% ward retention?!
and if i'm not mistaken, the blade can itself get another 50% crit affix applied to it if you have lp
Probably from an implicit somewhere.
so getting to like 500% isn't really too weird
Oh it's from an idol.
crit multi can also be added to relics and amulets
Ah Iām too used to seeing 4% from killing the snake god on my screen
Yeah I have an idol that gives 3%.
so now you're looking at potentially near 600% crit multiplier on your summoned weapons if you really gear out to the nines
š
That won't be inherited by minions though unless it's shared
hmm, you're right. there are some other methods to add a bit more, but around 500% is prob gonna be about the tops
give or take maybe a few tens of %
I think you'd prefer melee crit chance over crit multi on black blade so you'd have to get really lucky or get high tier mg to get an lp2
nah there are ways to get a lot of crit chance for your minions on other stuff
I never got to that rank last cycle and I was lvl 96
death rattle alone is like 35%+
Not enough base crit imo. Like the phantom grips add up to 6% each which is sick
Death rattle is increased not base I think?
even with my subpar gear my minions crit CONSTANTLY. like literally every other hit often times many hits in a row
It's funny because I needed one point in that one paladin node to get exactly 50% block.
Ahh I can't live without 100%
and when I say subpar gear I mean like, basically nothing is boosting their crit chance besides my passive tree and death rattle
and they still just crit nonstop
I'm not sure when I am gonna find the time to squeeze in crit reducto.
I haven't had the helm drop yet.
get you some blind
atm I'm just using flacon fists for the base damage and attack speed and it's still just walls of yellow numbers
Do sigils of hope stack?
Right. I did some of the math and I really want a t7 melee crit multi since I want 100% and it's hard to hit without that.
But I didn't test and need to test if gloves give 300%. If so can get away with less base crit
I'd need 16 passive points from somewhere to get blinding light.
with 12 weapons out and some good attack speed buffs, you legit just don't need that much crit rate because the sheer number of attacks alone will just flood crits
You don't have to take melee crit if you don't want.
like I cannot stress enough how utterly subpart my stuff is, I haven't even forged, and I just melt everything. when you factor in the armor shred it just gets really nutty
I was like 10% away from 1 cycling echo lagon
there is an affix for it
I don't even have crit gear yet and my dmg is decent. But I'm trying to project out to what I want to build to.
I imagine crit stacking will be hard to beat for sheer damage output
Eh I'll just keep going for now. The damage reducto should be huge.
I might drop something that'll help soon.
No argument there. Ailment might be better early on b4 u have high crit chance though. I know some people run ignite minions
though I am also curious how much dps you can get out of just purely stacking armor shred and ailments by just equipping Wing Guards, which give 120% attack speed by themselves
mostly as a meme but still funny
Once I get to empowered I can also try for the all resist blessing to reduce some of the resist pressure.
lol, Ive never used lunge while dw before, you just hold both weapons out in front of you and leap xD
Like at that point I can use my idol slots for other kinds of defenses.
you can do stuff with idol slots besides just stacking armor and hp %? that's crazy
from my build I assumed that's just what idols do
Is the Master of Arms' Strength With 2h Weapon not applying to spears intentional?
I wasn't gonna use a spear anyways but good to know
Its a shame becuse I was planning a Spear build in the back of my head ^^
Submit a ticket š
you really take slawart for granted until you check your armor
does anyone happen to know the attack speed breakpoint math for Palarus's Sacred light? like how much to guarantee 3 smites a second?
with warpath?
depends on your proc %
yes
you need roughly 130% AS on single target with a 40% rolled palarus when using warpath
fantastic ty.
I use it to patch resists. Makes it so I can say, replace something with poison res with something that has necrotic res and all I need to do to fix it is swap my necrotic res idols for poison res ones.
And then once my resists are capped in a more organic way I can phase those out and idk, maybe add hp or armor.
And after that I can also do stuff like minion fire damage.
This is also why I pick up every idol I see. Makes swapping easier. Although I can buy idols now if I need to.
In other news.
I reached the cap. And most of these don't even particularly need extra points either. Like Manifest Armor can be made even stronger with even more points, and ring of shields has very high value nodes.
But forge strike is more or less complete, and multistrike has more points than I know what to do with.
Anyone know how to target self with healing hands with a controller?
Shrimply get 75 vitality for 150 resistance š
do warpath echoes cast down smite if you spec into the "winds of justice node?
so how can i make myself tankier
sentinel is supposed to be a tanky man but a ward mage guy just gets like unbeliveably tanky for no reason
alas we are tragically short of flat dr sources around here
is regular forge strike minion build stronger than the warpath one?
melee attacks are so painful too like
Forged weapons go brrrr
The attack speed used to be a t4 phys damage. Decided to reroll it. Got attack speed. Jackpot.
Pretty good, the new bosses are fun and nemisus is a fun mechanic
except aberroth big bam slam attack
even tho my last 5 darkstrides Iāve tried upgrading through it have gotten dodge rating
Has my fave skill become any better? 9hsield throw)
A little bit, indirectly. Idk anyone who mains it though.
You can duel wield shields now
excuse me
It's not actually a shield.
Thereās a new āaxeā thatās a shield
@turbid dome btw i can just sit on top of 400 corruption harbinger š
But it's an axe that looks like a shield and has shield implicits.
what do I need to google to see it?
omg I want
Nice
In addition the passive tree has some juicy shield support now.
well then while shield throw might not have goten any love some shield skills did
maybe i should build damage and instakill aberroth at this point
Shield bash has been massively buffed.
im already hittin him for like 400k dmg
Shield throw always had through put issues. I saw the smite idol got chenged too
There is still the shield throw shield
yea I saw that one too
but that isn't shield throws issues, its through put is low when nothing to richochet off of
I mean to get a good shield bash build it requires a lot of investment. There's no real crit support for shield bash so you have to kind of brute force the crit chance and crit multi.
ring of sheidls still glitched with its other interactions?
I have no idea, I don't use any of them.
I just use the shields for DoT damage and some protection lol.
You mean the non scalable dodt dmg since the aura is a minions?
Quite scalable I assure you.
huh
They're not my main damage source, but they're noticeable.
Main damage source is forged weapons going brrrr.
last sewason I played I did Cast on hit smite, void shield throw, and then buzz saw armor guardina
https://www.lastepochtools.com/planner/BGDdbL4o This is what I've been able to achieve so far at my current level and gear options.

forge guard is my fave sential
Good news, forge guard got buffed
From my understanding it really is on par with other masteries now. And has some build diversity as well.
Also, evade actually makes no-traversal builds feel nice.
Itās nice seeing forge guards actually using forge guard skills
That is hopeful, myabe I will try to revive my shield throw stuff
the mechanic of shield throw for me always means you HAVE to run the minion as well to have something to bounce off of IMO
I've been mashing that space key a lot.
yea that is SUPER nice
The cooldown on evade is really short.
Got to chopose now weather to go shielkd throw or bash though ha
For me ring of shields does put in the work. Like not necessarily the DoT damage (it helps), but the fact that they catch projectiles is so good.
yea its a tanky beast
I recomened that if you dont want the dmg just get the healing
"defenbsive sheids" node always seemed like sucha waist unless you are timing RoS with big atacks
They also completely revamped that one capstone node.
which one
Sometimes I have like 9 shields out at once.
sorc is also viable now, which is wild to me
Is regular forge strike or Warpath version stronger for minion FG?
Disintegrate sorc go brrrrr
That would mess up shield throws bouncing mechanics but taht is super nice
Also glacier sorc apparently
they gutted the 30% reduced dmg taken ice runic invo i saw ha
Sorry I didn't mean to ignore.
So if you want to reasonably get your forged weapons out, you need one other skill that makes it easier to summon them.
Warpath, Multistrike, Rive, I think are the ones?
I prefer Multistrike.
Just... Plain 10% less damage taken... Provided you can hit 50% block.
50% is easy for forge guard though
Also here's something you can do with your obnoxiously high fire resist.
can you get damage taken as fire damage? or is it all just take it as physical instead
Sentinel focuses on taking damage as phys.
Which is still good because that means it utilizes the full strength of your armor value.
do the devs monitor around here? obviously not pinging them but i was DWing palarus while leveling my sentinel and i noticed that that started making the smite procs not free
You can send a bug report using the channels for it
I should not have speced into no cd bash yet haha

keep bashing!
im using rewbuke to get mana back haha
Are you triggering smite off warpath inside the warpath tree? that one is not free. im currently leveling dw palarus and dont seem to lose mana ever
People usually use the Time and Faith node for regaining mana.
in hte passive skill tree?
oh they pair it with those skills, interesting
Which accessories tend to be best for fire forge guards with no minions?
Rive is popular, I myself am partial to Vengeance when it's only for mana.
i have never once used those abilities ahah
Ignite or hit based?
primary spells are throw shield and shield bash (speced into fire)
those scale differently unless you change the tags
So... Is it ignite or hit based?
Hit
wtf is this? ha new cycle mech?
That's a nemesis.
amazing is what it is
It's a very cool itemization vector.
thank god for their IGN game guide
Basically it presents you with four possible items. If you don't like em you can banish the nemesis and nothing happens. If you want the items right now, you can challenge, which makes you fight the nemesis and get those items as drops.
Or you can empower, which also makes you fight the nemesis but you won't get the items yet. But next time you find a nemesis those items will be improved in some way.
It's not that complicated.
At higher levels sometimes one of the items will be an egg. You can put one of your own non-LP uniques in there and it'll be treated the same as those other items.
that is awesome
Uniques can gain random affixes or LP if you do that.
an example of a twice empowered unique becoming a 2 affix legendary. Fun mechanic
I got this from like my first nemesis. Although usually I get duds. So I just got really lucky that one time.
Just care, the poison one can really just stack poison on you at an ungodly rate lol
My minion build has kind of been vaporizing everything.
I just stand in one place and hit it. And sometimes I use a potion.
Any time I get the egg is the poison dude
I am nowhere near optimal gear and I'm getting like 50+ ignites and some bleeds and other debuffs.
lol
I thought you would have to carry the unique around with you at all times just in case you found an egg.
But this is untrue. You can access the stash from the egg UI.
Anyhoo I think I'm done with LE for the day. I made some pretty good progress (I'm a very slow player lol but I'm having fun).
Oh wow my 2nd temporal key on a lvl 83 character nice... what is with the key drop rates now xD
its nice being able to access the stash mid map, I dumped a bunch of idols i found and then filled up my inventory again with more idols (idol shrines!)
I'm looking at the phantom grip rind and I just don't understand these design choices - why necrotic?
What does sentinel have to do with necrotic? Where's the scaling?
do you build specific elements on minions? 90% of minion scaling is attribute and %inc minion damage which all scale the necro
the flat necrotic is more flavor, the real benefit is the gloves applying to forged weapons @chrome umbra
It does make a difference, like resistance shred or armor shred
Extra damage is extra damage for me.
Your shred and a few passives dont work, but the main point of the ring is the glove effect/flat crit. and yeah the necro is for flavor.
Like they didn't even have to put any added damage on there.
It's just a neat little bonus.
It's still big for a skill that does 2 base damage
If you want a more mechanical reason for it. It's on there because it's an awkward damage type.
Would that ring even work with unique gloves?
For the most part yes.
Can maw the 2h axe be ascended?
Or is it just STATS and not effects
So long as the mods can logically apply, they will apply.
So no chance to cast smite or whatever.
So you can give them extra speed/crit and maybe some ailment as a suffix.
Oh man so many unique gloves to go through, I went down the rabbit hole didn't I
I want to try the one that converts bleed to ignite.
But it has to have some good legendary affixes on it too. I got one with like throwing and elemental resist.
Which is not what I want lol.
does palarus procing smite count as casting smite for bonuses such as righteous fury (fire flat damage for melee if casting smite recently)?
Thing is, gloves have a lot of possible offensive affixes on it.
(Melee Attack Speed)
I'm running a DoT build and I'm still interested in running two phantom grips lol.
But also two of these rings make hit builds completely viable now.
Because of the minion base crit.
That one is yes, because its not casting its simply hitting with smite that triggers it, does not care how the smite was cast.
hey random question but does the shop show prices in your local currency? it just shows a pair of boxes for me
if your meaning apathy's maw you need to get one to drop with LP, or give it to a nemsis to upgrade
i got a ping was it spam?
Chances of nemesis to upgrade into something good is low but it's still a new vector of crafting so I like it.
something good is low, but your not upgrading a 0 lp unique anyways
I have 8 darkstrides now with dodge rating help
i got the level 1 hammer unique with + 75 flat
Yeah it takes your non LP unique that you probably aren't using and then maybe turns it into something good. Or not, but either way you're no worse off than you started.
@turbid dome ive been using t5 armor & crit bonus darkstride since level 60
i havent dropped any other piece of boots that could replace it š

Still can't believe I got this perfect yellow
Worst nemesis buff ever...
I could technically use that last FP to reroll the values
health regen pog
at least its not like wrong dmg type
It literally has "you do not regenerate health" on the base item though so health regen is the worst affix to get lol
I know, that's why it's funny
Game is trolling me right now
you want to get 2-3 LP on that anyways. empower just hope for LP
yea but nemesis empower is poor man's LP while target farming
