Yeah, I'm just saying. That particular type of DoT can have its base damage boosted with +flat.

crit multi gets added together and treated as a single more

So if you have +30% increased elemental damage that's +30% to fire damage, as well as +30% to the other two.

i also dont see scorp beastmaster, which wasnt nerfed and was hitting 1k corr in 1.0. tldr: tier lists arent perfect, but the S tier highlights usually are good
their tierlists consists of only their builds so dont take it as a overal tierlist but just of the builds they play/maintain

The game plan is void cleave to time rot something with 12 stacks and get 100% crit on next erasing strike-> erasing strike so it dies -> rive if needed

If your removing its cooldown you need enough mana to get 3 void essence charges so you can consume them for mana when you run out of mana. Then have that mana be enough to get 3 more void essence charges so you can keep bonking
If your doing something like the build I just linked, you rive for mana when erasing strike is on cooldown

The important thing is to get the 12 rots up and then dump all your mana into that time window

The goal is to kill the boss before going oom or with one round of reloading
How you manage that is entirely up to you

It's not just about the damage, it's how you like using the skill. Some people prefer non-stop ES spam, some like generating mana with rive/multi/vengeance and then dump the mana and some others like to prepare for one big boom every few seconds after a void cleave

And you are right on fire pen, I really enjoyed the build last season, can only be better in 1.1
so min skill lvl is 6 at 32, so pretty much by the time you're able to get the node, you can switch over to Forge strike and have all those juicy bonuses

if you grab the detonating ground nodes you get boosted AOE
You do a void cleave and then you remove whatever is in front of you with erasing strike

The aoe nodes leading up to it boost forge strikes base AOE, so it makes up for the spear

Man, it's hard to look at a class with zero info on it. Tried to put together a forge guard build with like, shield bash and forge weapon but it was a mess

So, so far, with just a single t6 melee stun chance, passives and the forge strike skill. I sit at 371% bleed pen, 70% phys pen, and 596% stun to ailment dmg

if you have the spear node that is 100 multi, and Im assuming 100 str
but attempting to scale both minion damage and shield bash damage is just going to result in you running out of space on your gear and in your passive trees

So you could get 170% more bleed with a t7 phys pen on your body armor and helm, 70% chance to bleed with 2 idols, and up to 40% bleed duration on large idols

@fossil pumice max roll builds (as long as itās for the right patch) are always a good starting point imo, tho experimenting and trying your own ideas is always fun when you have a safety strat to fall back too

forge guard has been extremely neglected in the past. there are no leveling builds for it because no one serious could be convinced to play one. also i personally find maxroll builds to pretty variable in quality with many of them making baffling choices

because the overall power level of the game has increased massively between the first content and now and sentinel has received only minor tune ups in between release and current patch while other classes have gotten substantially more updates bringing them more in line with the current (and quite high) power level of the game

every subclass is capable of making it to empowered monos and doing a moderate amount of corruption. this does not change the very tangible gap in power level between the best subclasses/skills/builds and everything else.

Base sentinel could do a few hundred corruption right now, and FG would just go higher. Not everything has to be equal, that isn't practical thinking. The power floor is in a really good place right now. FG doesn't need to be the strongest to be good.

there's no real top level power disparity, there's just a big difference in the number of viable builds. some of the top arena performers are forge guards
good a relative term. the "good" things are the ones which perform better than the average. i cannot say where forge guard will fall in 1.1 because there have been substantial changes but i can say that forge guard has been well below the average for many many patches leading up to this one

the actual top level builds between sent masteries weren't that different in power, forge guard was just obscure and not really worth investing into
anyway this is going nowhere and is a pain to discuss with slow mode active so i'm gonna move on. i think the new forge guard stuff looks cool and i will try it out then decide how i feel. hopefully everyone else who tries it out has fun too

Gonna level paladin and then decide in a couple weeks where to build for end game. Only have ~40 hours played so far. Healing hands build was pretty fun and extremely tanky.

still good but you wont reach 80 k ward

The only problem I had with the manifest armor build was the minion ran around like it was on ice. Slow acceleration and took it like 2 seconds travel between targets.

This is what I'm planning, the simple combo is void cleave (to give them time rot stacks) and to make the next ES a crit-> erasing strike -> Rive for mana/need to kill something while stuff is on cooldown. The guide here doesn't use exalted stuff or legendries (apostate's sanctuary is the only uncommon thing on it, so that can wait for later). You want a lot of vitality for the defense and the more void damage from the new mastery passive

Yeah the build works with bad gear, damage wise you really only need melee void damage on your two handed axe or sword. So really while leveling you just want generic good affixes (health/resistances/etc.) thereās nothing specific you need for it to start working

No problem, you want to go for obliterater on void cleave first so you get the guaranteed crit on erasing strike.
Once you get most of the points void cleave the enemy then erasing strike it and most things will just be dead

Ah, those boots are best used by void knight, but for early campaign any flat damage is good
Void cleave only works with two handed axes or swords so itās hit or miss to even use it

They only inherit the basic affixes from your weapons and also the implicit. They do not inherit any special affixes that you find on uniques. For example with eye of reen, the weapons would get the crit multi implicit, melee fire damage, chance to apply ignite but NOT the reens ire affixes.

And keep in mind stats can double dip, for example phys pen minion phys pen will give your minions phys pen then they inherit the affix and get it again

Oh I more meant the fact that forged weapons and manifest armor inherit your weapon stats (and armor for MA) means you can actually kind of scale both your personal damage and your minions damage
