i think there's 43 total specs so less than 10 per class. It's 100% true that there has always been 1 build per class that just owns. People just couldn't find any meaning in progression since variety is so limited. However i think that they just couldn't do anything about it since it would require a massive overhaul so they decided to take an L on this one and hopefully make d4 proper

That's why I called it a mod. It's a skin for TQ with SOME improvements. But I don't think you can justify 4 years for a skin/mod/expansion.

It doesn't feel like a different game, it only looks like a different game.
They never said they're making a sequel, they told us they were making an awesome ARPG. We funded them based on knowing they can make a good game.
SEQUELS have less in-common than TQ & GD... just look & compare the fewer similarities between D1 vs 2, or 2 vs 3. Or Mass Effect, or Thief, or anything really.
You only get new blood praising GD and the occasional KS supporter. The reason is simple, people get excited and come back to it occassionally. The further you are from the empty promises or the longer it has been since you played TQ the more you can enjoy the game.
So I'm calling them liars because they took a metric ton of money and lied about what they would make. They lied about the size of their team (because 9-5 5/7 doesn't take 4 years to make this) and they defrauded THQ Nordic.

Guess I'm new blood as I never played TQ until after I played GD and GD is MUCH better IMO. I look at TQ and say yes this is a very early and not well done GD prequel. Now that might piss you off but it is as I see it. I looked at the new TQ add on and it still looks light years behind the base GD game... that is because the real talent left to make GD.
They did make a different game but one very close to the heart of the TQ fan base.. not a clone but a new game with the soul of TQ but the new improved GD outer shell. Maybe you should look again at GD but take off your TQ glasses before you do.... just like I had to take off my pre-alpha demo glasses for LE ๐

The beginning gameplay is very impressive, loved the story line. After maybe 20-30 hrs itโs all heavily gated. You find yourself traveling and cursing random quest drops more than playing and enjoying the game.

To be honest: I actually never blamed Wolcen for what happened. It's an unfortunate Fate which some up to many Games face, and that since the early days of Gaming, though most off the Time you won't see it. Videogame Developing do a lot depend on iteration and reworking / overhauling, ideas and plans you have might not work out once (partly) realized and / or there is the point, that said features could stretch the development time way to long so not much gain out of it. That's also something why expansion and / or sequels exists for certain games exists in the first place... because there is some broken unfinished stuff scrapped for the game, but after the game fully released they have the time and ressources to either do expansion or an proper sequel.
And wolcen have even an worse fate, (similiar to No Mans Sky) the Game was way to ambitious to begin with,... and absolutely not realistic for an "newcomer" Dev-Team. So that's how the mess happened. And after seeing the changes from Alpha to Beta, sure there are some things where i understand people to miss certain things, and some aspects which i do myself... but if i look at what they delivered now with the Beta, and if they can keep up with it, fix some of the weak points and polish it properly, it's IMHO a change for the better and we could get an high quality product... even if mechanics doesn't offer the quantity like initial planned.
Bloodstained: Well imagine you are a Fan of the Castlevania Series, but this past years there wasn't an properly release of an new Castlevania Game (though i've to admit the first Lords of Shadow was an amazing game, even if it didn't felt like an proper CV to me), but now getting an proper Castlevania (spiritual) Sequel (/ successor)... that's bloodstained for you.
The Castlevania which as fan of this series and genre you could wish for.... charming graphics, good gameplay etc... though avoid the switch version
Chaosbane: After Martyr i kinda avoid the Warhammer HnS / Games (except Total War), not only they don't met the potential they had, for martyr atleast there is forced online only, and for me a Game, especially HnS lose a lots of value because of that
the only exception might things like proper MMORPG's - but HnS Genre stands for me the freedom of playbility of Solo, Local or Online.

But whats peoples thought on lineage eternal/Project TL ? its going to be a blockbuster, Project TL will be one of the best games along with Last Epoch. Project TL will be very popular because it will have larger multiplayer party sizes ,
