hah... What a long journey is. Learnt blender from zero and it's the 1st render I made!
Maybe add many plants will looks more cool... But I'm not sure how to make plants in blender yet
I'm a bit late to the party when it comes to poe2 stuff but damn that trailer looked peak af
That said I'm still skipping got other games to play
Oops I meant poe2
You're more than welcome to skip it, if you feel like it
Nobody is forcing you to play it, after all
I mean yea no shit
Just kinda weird that "looks peak af" but "i'll skip it
I guess I didn't write other reasons but another one is basically work means I'm less motivated to play poe2. I'm far too slow for a game like that
lol discord have another wave of issue... Unable to load parts of profile
Yea
and I can't send pictures
Yea
There's no competition or race. Even with the new atlas I would bet a pile of cash that the economy is still gonna be pretty cooked a week or two in so you'll still be able to farm up to buy whatever you want
i just hate on poe 2 market that it has 3 currencies which switch within first 2 weeks exa -> anull -> chaos
Idk how that even matters but whatever floats your boat
Sadly I just don't have the patience to play poe2 right now
It does require more from you than other games like it imo.
it's almost like a job
Megablood...
loss sadge
how a naut corki loses vs a smolder nami early game is a mystery to me
Tf was also perma scared to gold card engage so we had nothing lategame vs their scaling comp
I don't has a job so it's fine
le's content is like a job more imo because it's repeat and repeat and repeat single thing, complete prophecies
oh if you're a pro... It's one shot uberroth
hah a new day begins. Go on crafting more paper cranes.
Somehow despite having a job I do better than you kirra 🤣
that's fair lol
I just changed my mindset about both games last couple leagues
I have accepted the dad gaming mindset and chilled out
and it's funny that after accepting that I had probably my most profitable PoE1 AND 2 leagues ever lol
Honestly my friends that work like 70 hours a week somehow manage to farm more than me each league.
your friends works 70h per week but still go harder than you in poe?! What
It must high-spirit form
A paper crane gift box I made for myself ☑️
It mean my friends have a good place to sleep :)
24cm x 24cm for 9 cranes
Most of it would probably just boil down to game knowledge about what, how and when to craft
these guys literally print multiple mirrors a league. It's insane.
yeah that's one of them, another one is just insane with buildmaking and farming strats.
Makes me feel noob for sure.
Maybe I should play a new 3a game. It's not a new game but it's new for me.
Dad of boi
isnt it way of approach ? I mean if you play for fun or fun build you like its different than made build directly for easy map/boss farming
Speed is what unfortunately matter most in Arpg like PoE
Then there is crafting market but that's different league
hhhhhhhhh
Give me god of war
No, thanks.
emmmmmm I miss photo mode in space marine 2 now
God of war's one worse than that
RB is the key for both of switch options and take photos on xbox controller so I even can't take a photo... Silly
Oh but more filters god of wars have than space marine 2
🤔 Interesting, one-shot mechanic exist in both of games
I usually have the patience for poe1 but poe2 is too much antifun for me icl
Poor patience I have for complex UI to check out which weapon/gear I'm wearing and which part I can upgrade
God of war is a game which includes this point unfortunately 🌚
Multi-level menu, yes
Arpg mentality Vs soul like (ISH)
Play god of war let me want to play space marine 2 more 😂
I dislike adventures which with a child indeed...
U going to make people mad xdd god of war has crazy community
I could debate vs Warhammer I guess ,witch one is bigger
Ok speaking two languages same time is weird
idk, lots of people dislike Atreus
I wouldn't say he is hated character, but definitely not beloved by everyone
I maybe like kids if I can live in an environment without kids are yelling and slamming doors
https://www.twitch.tv/subnautica Unknown world start their early access showcase live
The chat window of stream just scrolling and scrolling, 35K+ people watching, The server is flooded by messages
https://www.youtube.com/@PointCrow/videos 🤔 I never know this youtuber until this stream
Update: Get why I never hear him. None of videos he made interest me to click because I don't have corresponding gaming experience. It's quite European or American.
A uber-popular youtuber join in the official stream... Make part of sense
Last time I'm hyped by deep sea environments in a game is in sanctums from sea of thieves... Quite curious about why this game can attract so much people to play
sea of thieves is rly the only good sailing game on the market, especially when it comes to pvp
it’s also a game whose innate progression is simply unlocking more cosmetics, so you get to just have fun and do quests from the beginning
people like the combat and environments
Fine, I just jealous at any people who their work appreciated by lots of people. It's applied at any game devs work in any popular games
and how many of those positions have been at chinese companies, where you can speak a language you know?
Zero. Because Chinese companies will not expose exact people in interview videos usually. Art director is the only people in front of cameras
🤔 They do interviews or showcase lives? Don't think so...
I think that's a pretty big compliment to the writing. He's a child growing into a teenager who was neglected by his father for years until suddenly his only caregiver passed and he was left alone with his father in a brutal world. He's supposed to be difficult
I'm a massive fan of the writing of both games, and even the gameplay actually
hhhhhh cats can sleep on anywhere. So check out your curtains when you can't find your cats.
I've heard a lot of praise for Windrose as well
Didn't windrose have a large problem with essentially killing ssds?
actually dunno much about that, it’s probably good tho
oh did it, damn
I just know that it was a huge hit with its demo on Steam NEXTFest and then absolutely exploded in popularity when it launched
Yeah, apparently it was doing constant rewriting on the ssd
it did apparently get patched though
it's an indie team isn't it
I was looking at it but I've never really gelled with survival games
^ too even pure RPG ones idk maybe its because i once played minecraft.. After that all survival games seems to me like minecraft even it's idiotic feeling 😄
I'm guessing Subnautica 2 will have mp
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t2nDHldoSk
Wonder if it'll explode in popularity on release day
yesn't, they've cut it down by 80%
So it only puts the strain on your SSD like 20 games combined
what it had hidden agenda behind - "crash their SSD to buy new one under crises of HW" 🤔
Oh please
Fun to rewatch past experience relevant to abyssal... Octopus that never die
I think that SSD issue is clear cut case of rookie devs making their first game
oh yes they even bring green dot aura to wander around
Be regret to record too less videos now...
I love this game so much lol
hah I can use new keyboard to play poe 2 and test how my action skills going
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmyK1NiPJVE What a terrible combat I acted lol
:(...
It's fine, I can enter now
oh, okay.
Weird that it happened though
@mental talon new boss is very interesting.
I didn't play sts2 for a while so the update automatically replaced ||doormaker|| lol
I never play subnautica but a story relate to that I reminded of last night:
A Chinese player translated the whole game without asking any returns but he's gone because of caneer in 2017 unfortunately, unknown world released a in-game item, a translator and left his nickname on credit after knew this thing.
This story have been be spreaded widely. Never imagine I'll touch this studio again after a few years but it's the sequel now
A Chinese streamer was the reason slay the spire got so popular
I got absolutely rolled at a Riftbound event yesterday xdd
Get rolled
yes, pathtracing
Ok turns out uber lilith is no joke rip
Well I wouldn't expect any uber to be a joke
Yea she slaps hard
You go tto slap back harder
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2582320/Mixtape/
Don't even know Annapurna Interactive release a new game if I don't click Lirik's twitch
Oh gosh. It must be a spoiler.
oh dear lord, that one is a drama bomb rn
drama bomb? why
basically game reviewing outlets showered it with 10/10s and people are mad, because well game journos
and it's "pick your flavor of mad" buffet: some because 2 hours long title less interactive than telltale game should not be a game, some because one journo thanked the devs for cd player and something alongside the game, some because they hate game journos, some because 10/10s are rare and they think it getting way higher score compared to "their game" score is insulting
typical culture war drama
🤔 What I can think is... Van will interested in that because he's a teen in 90s
This game for Americans more maybe because the location of this story is a American town
Yeah, that's fair.
It's pretty much the premise of it, and looking at steam score it's likely a decent game.
Average 2026 YT grifter farm
Personally I'd skip it, because 2 hours is too short
Imagine if people go back to realizing that reviews are just personal opinions
Personally more like a joke of an industry, but considering everyone who is against this game thinks the same ? I don't understand why people care about what game journos say
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I'm just sick of YT review grifting, idc if I agree with the sentiment or not, all of those channels could get wiped tomorrow and it would be a net positive for humanity
At this point I'm convinced gaming journalism sites are gifting as well, but they are usually ragebaiting for clicks. And it works
Yeah I agree with that as well
I'm tired of culture wars in games
Let me confirm a thing, journos = journey?
journalists
Since all their revenue is ad revenue, that's probably accurate because clicks = money
In fact if I were running a game journalism company and had zero morals, I'd push as much ragebait as possible
Yup
🤔 😂 Ok I see what happened
Know how to make drama to get more money is an ability too
I thought mixtape is a short film at the beginning and wondered why it release on ns 2, xbox and ps
afaik it could be a short film if you just removed the button prompts from the screen
But tbf that's needlessly complex discussion about what is a video game
🤷♀️ I never buy a game from Annapurna Interactive since cocoon
they've made cocoon ?
Last time this publisher appear in my media is...Stray, that cat-focused cyberpunk walk simulator
ah, this game was fairly popular when it relased
No, just published
still, pretty good indie portfolio
Games they released after cocoon just never are my tea
Fair enough, but that's what I like about indie games. There is a lot of variety to choose from
Lushfoil Photography Sim...Oh yes, this is a creative "game" though
I've just grabbed this game. Cairn is basically mountain climbing game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1588550/Cairn/
played only for a couple of hours, but it's fun. Not for everyone, but I like it
It has the odd blend of chill atmosphere paired with frustration and stress of mountain climbing
I purchased jusant but didn't finish it yet
I have jusant from humble bundle I think, wanted to try it out but Cairn looked more like something I'd like
I think Jusant is more chill
I've wanted something to chill out with, but still be challenging after the brain wracking and stress spiral that's Three Kingdoms Total War 😂
I'm at the phase in d4 where I can't seem to progress further than t6. It feels bad man
Like I can do t7 and even t8 to an extent but it takes longer
Gotta start filtering for GAs and ancestral gear, and farm our uniques you may need
Oh yea I have been doing that
I wonder if I should just drop wartable and try just farming bosses
Also crafting is very strong if you haven't been workin with that at all; you can abuse the system and lock in an affix you want to keep by enchanting (assuming it isn't like, a 4GA lol)
GA?
Greater Affix
Oh that's the DPS class of the season lol
And relying on unstable currents for the heavy work
I might survive better with temerity so I'll give that a shot
Need to farm it though so yea
Temerity is an easy farm iirc
Yea
I killed the boss a few times but didn't get the drop
Ngl UC feels like archon all over again lol
Damn wrong helm lol
Do you plan on using the Heir? Cuz like, I'd fire a Blizzard employee for one lmao
Are you after it?
Ok you owe one then
Can't trade mythics nvm
Lol nvm
I forgor
I will remain in hell. Thematic I suppose xdd
I also dropped this but I suppose this isn't all that lol
That's a Pit speeding item iirc
Spiritborn I think. Rogue has its own speed demon setup (it takes insane amounts of effort to make functional)
Oh alright
For real, we all feeling that awful choice
Heck if it had life on hit it would be almost perfect for a non-ga item lol
Only way to reroll is recycle and I kinda hate that ngl
Solidly something I'll call out as Not A Good Idea. I understand what they were going for. But. There's a bunch of mods that are just useless on many uniques. So like, maybe at least remove those from the pool
Yeap
I think d3 had a similar issue lol
Oops didn't think I was on t8 lool
Oh wait no I wasn't
Nvm I'm dumb
Damn it I get so close but no cigar lol
Didn't know taking someone face was so explosive lol
It could be from an item or trait or something
Going to give up on lilith for now and just sort of do other stuff
That or I can probably ask someone in game to help me out lol
Tbh I'm more annoyed that it's not an indie studio at all and it's pretending to be indie studio
Other than that the game looks like shit
i just see it like stranger things
cheap nostalgia bait stuff gets high review scores
not worth worrying about
oh right, there was millionaire funding behind the scenes iirc
Only one of the richest people on the planet
The owner of Oracle Corp
Understand what I can do on commuting time now. Craft more of my friends :)
How Chinese mobile games do promotion to get more money:
I wonder which English word for this type of mini merch shop which open in a mall in a short time only 🤔
Chinese is kuaishan
Deaths 0 but then I died in a poison pool lol
👀 A new bistro opened in a fancy mall recently, I'm curious about what products are they selling, clicked the menu, a few types of focaccia bread and sour bread with common western ingredients...
Like food you mentioned. It's come from the result of searching focaccia.
The interesting thing is... Common western food in US and Europe can sell well with a high price in China because middle-class people want to show them in their social medias.
I don't think there is one
Also classic with food pricing
It's pretty much everywhere, foreign cuisine will have a premium markup
Hah interesting... Different marketing strategy
Maybe because Americans & Europeans dislike shopping in malls & malls are too far away from their houses (well geographical + cultural feature)
nah, malls are popular in europe afaik
🤔 \o\
Oh, sn2 even can pre-purchase and pre-load since now
alright, candied guavas is quite yummy because they're chewy but guava flavour jelly... Quite bad
hmmm
if i looked at mine it’d just be karma, ahri and kindred lol
tho i’m thinking of trying out vi top lane
Vi is a good time
I used to play quite a bit of critality Vi a while before it started becoming more popular
yeah ik vi is mostly played as a jungler rn tho
but i was looking for someone to play top lane
No idea what mine would show
it's been some years since I played
Alright I understand what work steal time the most if environment artists must model from zero... Fix topology likes edges and vertex
2h is quite easy to be gone
I've played Vi top at first, but I don't remember what sucked about her
I feel like it was overreliance on Q, but it's been forever ago
Cool, the whole afternoon is spent on figuring out this segment, from how to build a curve to how to rebuild topology
One of my endgame items seems to have dropped
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G8M_JeGLtXk Cool, but I have instant noodles only hhhh
I bet 1h is need to cook that even you have all ingrediants
not worth it, jesus that's a lot of work
comments are roasting how long it takes, and they are not wrong
you can probably cook full english breakfast in that time
she’s not super self reliant which is bad for a top laner so
I'm drawin :v
That you are
What can you get if you spent 1h on a new origami:
First time to craft a paper 🐦
The lesson I get from this origami is 25x25cm is the minimum size if I want to craft this bird and it's better to use a paper as thin as possible because so many layers it'll get later
oh always can know which new game just released by opening twitch
Oh, 60USD...
Like a film with a 3a-level price
Make sense. A choice matter type of game.
😂 Well, good questions!
I can't believe that's legal anywhere. Wild.
I knew Twisters would be good, nice to see a demo of it
hopefully my specific idea also works
wow damn My Jesus holy lord. Spirit walker introduction let me realize it's the 1st ascendency which I want to try all ascendency paths
\o/ too cool. The level of cool is out of the capacity my words can afford
Oh but I never play any idols...
lol GGG thought what I thought.
“If you like the look of spirit walker, but need some further inspiration for what to do with her, we've put together a couple of endgame builds to give you ideas, kindly made by some of our developers”
what is it 👀
A gothic pattern mesh
I want to learn more on modeling gothic items so I used that as the first try
Bezier curves, yes
it's turning out well
Idk about lots, I think it's more specialized than say Amazon or even Ritualist, but it does look good
Though I probably wouldn't start with it
The companion stuff seems expensive
Because of idols?
The uniques needed
I imagine the belt isn't going to be cheap
Because it doesn't always drop with the helmet modifier and it was shown in the video
I wouldn't be surprised if the new scepter is also a boss unique
And yeah, the idols aren't probably going to be that cheap either
And having a high dmg 1h weapon too
Very enjoyable rhythm game (name is Dead as Disco)
Is there a way to auto salvage items in d4? Like loot I don't care about? Picking everything up to make seal paste is kinda bleh
I wonder if this is good on pala
Don't think so
Auto salvage isn't a thing
Tyraels is good for speed clearing my barb uses it
Ah ok
Craft more paper friends today, includes 4 mini paper whales
(Origami is quite addicting)
Those are cuuteee
pretty much the way I've used it on my pala, especially with judgement and source of shield iirc
some way to avoid losing HP anyway
Ultimately I think I kept it for that 20% damage reduction
I get an interesting photo on the internet
Kinda reminds me of Guinness + Monster mix
weirdly
Also I want a showcase of the Martial Artist already
I guess both have caffeine ?
and american coffee is more like sugar drink with coffee flavor, considering how sweet monster is that also adds up
I'd be afraid to consume that thing haha
I think I would try it
👀 ...Different people see different things from the same picture indeed
tbf I'm braver than the most when it comes to trying out food
not brave enough to try insects or spiders, but yeah
I do love snails
I want to show that weird lady with half head exactly
how are you keep your spirit without any caffeine to work 8h, any tricks available?
actually wait, tartar steak and mett are two more foods I would not try
Which might be odd considering I love sashimi x'D
I never drink coffee or tea. I'm fine
I have no idea how, considering that when I've worked we all had sacred daily ritual of making coffee
Not drinking coffee I get, I rarely drink it myself. But not drinking tea is very surprising to hear. Now tell me you don't drink beer and that would be interesting xD
iirc top 4 most consumed drinks in the world in the order were water, tea, beer and coffee
all natural energy haha
Something I've come to appreciate in my later years
iirc I did not need it to function, but my mood always been awful when I could not have my morning coffee at work
V-rising is free for the weekend, for those who are interested
I can't drink beer or alcohol for religious reasons
I do occasionally drink tea but it's usually green tea or mint. Something like that
what a wonderful gift the god gave you. You keep your vision well too?
I'm quite jealous of people who keep good vision and don't need a glass to see everything
Apparently my eyes did get slightly worse in last 4 years
Oh, includes animals... Although animals can't wear glass
I see a black dot sometimes. Might go to an optician soon
Right eye
Yes they do. Have you not seen the cartoons?
That makes me nervous, because literally every relative in the family wears them but me
I have no idea why my eyesight is still good
You should
Though optician might not be enough
Everyone in my family has them
other than my brother
Watch King of the Hill
It's a classic
🤔 Less than 11h before sn 2's release
Funny looking at the news about them streamlining the poe2 campaign
with the vid showing examples
ppl are complaining that this is making the game too easy, why don't people like exploring and so on
cos there is nothing to find and make exploring worth it
Exactly
And we've done the campaign so many times already
And it's not like it's a bunch of yellow paint on the ground that say "FOLLOW THIS"
Like "ooh there's glowing roots that lead you to the tree where Sin is hanging"
but from the vid I barely noticed any glowing on it
"I'm going to be THAT guy too I guess...
You're making the game too soft. Not A good feature at aoo. It wasn't that hard to find the Entrances to begin with. It literally only took 30-45 minutes to blow throw act 1. Act 2 only takes 90 minutes to 2hrs. how much quicker do ya'll want it to be ?"
I don't think I've ever ran through act 1 in 30-45 minutes 🤔
poe2 campaign feels like an eternity
ill honestly not believe that someone does a2 in 90min either
the other big issue is you cant even play so much different stuff due to the super rigid gem unlocks
Tbh there was the speedrun of poe2 campaign in games done quick that was like
just below 3 hours
I don't mind exploring in a game like grim dawn but honestly I can't do it in poe lol. I only do the side quests that matter and just skip everything else
Even if I was playing ssf I'd still skip everything because I just want to get to the endgame
gd at least has some interesting dungeon content randomly
poe2 i just find too big like with d4
if they'd shrunken skovos and provided more gameplay the campaign woul've been better
Yeah, Grim Dawn has a lot of neat stuff in the world
So many secrets and easter eggs, environmental story telling
because you know, they don't have mapping system
i'd not make that connection, you could easily have both
exploring in aRPG 😂
especially one that's seasonal
well i think there's some place ot make not finding the correct™ path worthwhile
poe2 does not, it just feels awful not to find shit in the jungle
that's true
I think there might be some aRPG, especially older ones that made it somewhat rewarding but eh
in PoE it feels like waste of time, same in PoE2
it was in D3 and D4
in Last Epoch I do grab nemesis or the splendind chest I remember there is on the map, but that's about it
Unfortunately bar in this subgenre is on the floor, especially compared to RPGs
Same with d2 lol. The inspiration for poe xD
Maybe for a first time run it might be ok but after a bit you kinda lose interest
pretty much
but thats also normal isnt it, i've only done it in gd for the first run as well
ngl i'd rather not replay poe2 campaign ever
or poe1 for that matter
they are not interesting
then its main quest and later on optional caves
grim dawn campaign is pretty fun tho
i like to just make a lvl94 character with all gear for build equipped and go do campaign on ultimate
i can't imagine this being interesting to do in any other arpg i played
Beef sandwich but poor meat it includes, all flavour come from the bread and the sauce :(
4/10.
Meat I get from a McDonald's combo with the same price even more than that lol
I'm still a meat covered brain instead of a bread covered brain
dam, i haven't had a subway in years
it looks scary out of context haha
I was wondering why my game kept giving me clips lol... stupid steelseries apps...
And I blame it on win update
Can blame everything on win updates tbh
I listened many soundtracks inspired by game of thrones but I don't know it have a PC game
Of course, I didn't watch this tv series too
Tonight will quite busy...
... Google play store 100% flashback when I search game of thrones
hah damn five cute direwolf!
This beginning is interesting. Five cute direwolf and one abandoned wolf.
What
lol the queen and the king is quite different at western and eastern...
On western, both of them just normal people with normal clothes, but people will greet them with my grace and kneel down.
On eastern, both of them are quite mysterious for citizens, they must own the most luxury clothes and jewellries, plus similar etiquettes western people would do.
I'm watching got s1
Depictions depends on the writers I guess. Although I'm not too aware of clothing history
Oh ok I never watched it
pog the ending... Quite shocking
oh ok I'll avoid something about story is spoiled
🤔 Done e1 s1, time to play sn 2
48 messages is produced in 2 mins under this limit. Their server is quite insane
hhhhhh I see why now.
As same as 2024. 02. 21 mean for EHG
guess we're back to regularly scheduled programming
?
unasked-for daily (often hourly) personal blogs
i kinda hate it
it interrupts any conversation and half the people even active in this channel have Kirra blocked
It depends on what she is talking about lol
For me
I have never blocked her but I did ignore her once when she was spoiling something lol
what conversations ?
i’m pretty sure half this chat has you blocked too man
Welp, I need to do better then. Half is not enough
I played for an hour at my friend's today
Its everything I wanted and more...so far
I mean it was long anticipated
Especially after the disappointment that was Below zero
I have no idea how to gauge whether Subnautica 2 is going to be good or not, considering Steam Reviews are not really trustworthy 😐
Hopefully it's closer to the first game ?
Most of those reviews were dropped an hour after the game was accessible so there's that
But based on what lil time I spent on the game I'd say it is closer to the 1st one
hmm, that's reassuring
It could use some serious optimisation tho
I am surprised that Below Zero sits at 89% positive in english considering I've heard it's subpar
I mean its not a bad game but it doesn't give u the same feel 1st one did
that's true, I've tried it out and it did not click for some reason
It's been mostly the feel
Cant wait for the weekend
dang he/she looks sad, go outside to throw him stick/ball or something
kinda unfortunate that games nowadays either have to be the next hottest thing or are just considered whatever
the perils of too much exposure and consumption
or be just good dev and do it for customers and not money..
Thats min 25% of cases why sequels from same dev teams sucks..
1st is banger 2second is hindered by money and politics
it's really funny but actually it is the video game "industry" i.e. it exists because people want to make money
not really, niche successes do exist
unless you mean by that the perception of the audience, that's always been a thing
they do, I'm just talking more cultural perception thing
got it
Sadly the case since ... I don't even remember
I can think of Ubisoft killing Price of Persia franchise after the supposed spinoff: Assassin's Creed sold really well
so it's going for at least 15 years
its difference making money when you put effort to product which is for customers
and difference making money aka only for profit
Irony is that 1st variations makes more money lately (as least for non-servise online gaming)
Something interesting I found in sn 2 after played it a while:
- the format of logs in sn 2 remind me of The Talos Principle 1 & 2 immediately
- 183 blueprints available to craft items in ea
- emmmmm I touched the edge easily...
🤷♀️ No idea why people want to block me, block me is block me
I know a EHG member block me too
I mean this applies to basically any industry because this is basic business strategy. Short-term profit maximization is never a sustainable business practice. The only reliable, sustainable way to make money in a business is to provide a good product or service and have your financials in order. The short-term stuff allows you to fleece but it'll eventually bite you in the ass, as has been proven time and time again
Because you’re annoying and refuse to listen to anyone, Kirra, if you want the actual answer
I just had an epiphany (because I've been having a headache since morning and I'm kinda dizzy and dazed): we're all NPCs to her lmfao

It's the same that I'm a npc only for you too :)
Meanwhile Splatoon devs cook up a banger every single time
Kirra multiple people more experienced in life HERE have tried to have very real adult conversations about your life path with you
You refuse to listen to them
This is NOT a two-way street
We do not consider you an “NPC”
You treat others as if they are
too much drama on evening time to play Deux Goty
Yeah I mean, there's great games releasing all the time, but because of influencer culture and the legacy of the 24h news cycle, people jump from one trend to another and genuinely good products often get left in the dust
nah, I think quick steamDB check would show that the "previous hot" games are still doing fine
Also this is demonstrably untrue, I can easily dig up several instances of me trying to have a conversation with you and you simply not giving a damn what I'm saying and jumping to whatever random topics take your fancy. After a point I just no longer give a shit what you're on about, beyond you polluting this channel with unnecessary nonsense that literally no one is interested in.
That's not what I mean
It's more like, imagine how much better the good, ignored games could have been if they had received some of the (organic or inorganic) eyeballs and players that got shepherded to one fad game or another
Some still do, I just feel it could have been better. Also we'd just all be better off without review ragebait culture
looks at roadwarden
still no announcement regarding sequel works or anything on that
likely partly because it wasn’t actually super popular despite its quality
Wyldermyth is one I can name
i’m looking it up rn
Stellar game, got updates for a while, then devs moved on eventually
mmm, okay I think I get it
Stuff like Necromancer's Tale having no exposure beyond like Mortismal channel
Or w/e deepfried Sseth digs up, we do need more of that
In fact, I'd argue that Anthem had great potential if it hadn't been crucified (somewhat justifiably) in the court of public opinion
I have a big soft spot for that game
Mark of the Ninja is another absolutely excellent game that unfortunately never got a sequel. It did get a remaster though, so that's something
Probably too niche sadly, which is why Mimimi closed after delivering three amazing games
RTT, and Stealth games in general are too niche sadly
Anthem is a hot take, but on the other hand I think Andromeda wasn't that bad.
Heh, to me that's a hot take lol
I'm well aware lmao.
But I wouldn't be too crazy, I'd give Andromeda a 7 maybe
I wouldn't rate Anthem anywhere near that high but it had potential. Bioware at that point still had the money and the chops, and if reports are to be believed, the intent to turn it around
But f#%$ EA
Potential is what I think of Andromeda trilogy.
I honestly don't want ME4 to be about Shepard, I think that story is pretty much done.
I agree but I also have zero faith in any writer at Bioware
same
i wish i didnt need to use on mass effect any 3rd party softs from some corporates >.>
Damn lol that's brutal
But I understand why
I am at odds because while I love sts2 I love mt2 almost as much as sts2 but it didn't get the numbers like sts2. Though I also know that the huge number of players even now are because of mp. And I still have to get round to playing mp 😢
?! The talos principle will release...3!
Oh my Jesus!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3703630/The_Talos_Principle_3/
Here we go! I must wishlist.
I appreciate your honest.
Never know a term is personal boundary because I never experience its meaning... Maybe it's what you want to told me before
cn nte 1.1 stream may 23rd
Ngl I think everyone has said something along these lines to you in some way or other
I'll also be honest and say that I personally don't mind what you do but I do tend to find it funny as you explain literally every little thing
I gave anno 117 a shot again, and I'm starting to understand this game. Pretty damn good, but I think 1800 with DLC is still better
In 117 military aspect is massive considering whole one of the three tree branches is dedicated to it. And frankly ? It sucks. Logistics of manufacturing arms and having enough population to support the armies are sprawling and the payoff is not there :/
My brother got me a steam controller
I'm afraid of my logic jump too fast so people don't know what am I saying
https://youtu.be/hOswh7v8hvM?si=urofgrmydYzDNR3n
Interesting, I understand where the white-branch tree inspire by now
I guess this ancient tree represent something in game of thrones 🤔
Such a deep love Bran got from his mother... Appreciate that
That's okay, aslong as you are yourself.
@obtuse rune I mean that. I know nothing to hide here though.
🤔 New improvements for vaal temple
alright I find my confusion for vaal temple is from I don't understand why I want to run vaal temple in essence
you mean nerfs because main purpose of these "snakes" and similar buildings was make vaal juicy
If wont works anymore and there isnt decent way making profit from it without using easy way ppl wont run it a lot..
Only for specific reasons like market..
Either way i think that ppl will run expedition this league rather than stop on vaal which takes a quite time i would say
did they improve ground loot?
last time i played during abyss league and it was not great
and async trade was locked before reaching act 4 :/
Think async is still locked before reaching act 4
At some point you could visit someone elses hideout and get it unlocked by talking to the npc there but think that got fixed
Yeah, I fail to see the point of vaal temples
During the league if you took buttload of time to set them up they were profitable, so now with extra work they can be less profitable ?
But maybe farming Atziri has a point
Yeah
I could see myself doing shorter temples or going for atziri
No point going for a big setup
there might be, if you like suffering
because way less people will be doing it, thanks to being annoying to do, the value of the orbs will go up
but practically it probably means crafting corrupted items will be stupidly expensive
True, true
I think they said that you're more likely to get medals in smaller temples? 🤔
Oh yea
I should actually check out some stuff in poe2 before the league launch
Oh
My poison bow character in standard has way worse dps than I remember
same
they nerfed 3-shot for kamehameha and it's now 3 shots in an arc instead of a burst
🚮
...Never know how hard to fold a maple by a paper. It's harder than any origami I learnt before
Fold that with a 15x15 cm paper at first but I'm failed while realized how many fold I need after 2h then I started that again with a 25x25 cm paper but still get decent troubles 😆
oh damn, that's a lot of folding :d
I wanna do boats
I wanna do sailing
Expedition time I think
I'm planning to leaguestart druid bear or some shit and switch to Str Stacker Oralce with Brutus Lead Sprinkler later on
I was planning poisonburst pathfinder
But was checking my old one in standard today and it's rough
bow, spear, so i will move to Monk this time + new class looks interesting,
Monk in an Arpg just feels so nice ,bell is really good
Just a nich class to play TBF
I carried this game style from Eso striker from LA it just feels so nice
Impactful game play
Not a friendly one u get tires verily quick but so nice to play
Like u need to actually put work in to class to play it's not something like no brainer light arrow
Play wise always ,I know u can make builds a LOT more efficient in game
maybe something with armor strip
I m trying it for first time that thing is made for joystick controller
Geniunly on keyboard it's harder to move that a wow warlock
i always want to try some arpg with gamepad but never got my hands to it
I have separate SSD for windows and Nvidia ,they get wildly over one year
Magic the Arpg game controller ,decently some grim damn also but Poe 2 and some things are made for controller
I can't play an Arpg with controller personally and I can't be asked lol but some builds are made for it and they work
actually saw yesterday this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aTAlvhd-yA
PoE2 feels pretty good on the controller, they even had PoE1 feeling good too which surprised me
Crossbow skills are defenetly made for controller
WASD is good but never will meat joystick
dam literal screen clear
i was playing lightning shards (or however it was called... lightning shotgun basically) on release
clear was great and plasma blast helped greatly with bossing
makes me excited to try gamepad. wasd beats mouse to me every time, so if gamepad is even better...
I played shield wall last league and that felt pretty good in terms of clear
last time i played during abyss league. was trying to make work earthquakes with maximum reduced duration so it felt like a usual slam build
it worked out pretty well in the end but it needed a looot time to get there
Thanks Belial...
Ain't no way this guy spent all his money on fireworks and a kite and can't buy food for himself anymore smh
what game?
It's called Let's school, managment game. It's pretty neat
After do 4h trial and error and wasted 3 paper, the 1st 🍁 is here finally 🙏
It's the most hard origami I made.
I wish they give us controller - mk hotswap so I can use controller for movement and stuff, and mk for inventory management
nice 😄
Damn, they don't?
Slight correction. Trial and error
GG on the origami though
nope
This doesn't seem bad?
on paper no, problem I have is the build restriction
Damn it
Actually it might be better than my current amy
Lol whoops thought this was a 1h :(
Just snap that bad boy in half, it'll go in one hand. 😄
lol just know a peanut streamer on twitch
huh this cartoon graphic doesnt mind you but another good games with similar graphics does
I gamba'd at obols and then crafted this
Honestly I like d4 crafting more than le
Like damn
another good games?
I follow sn 2 because I like deep sea and it's the most popular game recently
Don't play a bit recently though... Be addicted to origami
The issue is SOC gameplay emmmm... I'm not quite interested
Alright, wasted 2 more paper in this afternoon
Damn it wrong mythic sword
this is why people hate PoE2-only andys lmao
woah real p2w
mmm, Im getting flashbacks to bethesda and mods
Yeah, I could definitely see some people putting their guide stuff behind paywall
@junior stirrup GGG will do something to stop that, right?
Damn I got the sword nice
I don't think it will be a big issue, unless some kind of big site with builds or some known CC enforces the paywall
then I think GGG would be interested, if it's some random nobody the paywall will just scare off the people
this is genuinely the craziest thing I've ever seen w.r.t. GGG: https://youtu.be/EBOpcR-HOLc?t=677&si=wo9M3xAuYc9H2vtE (clipped the relevant part of the video)
also for better or for worse I don't think GGG will give 2 shits if somene tries to paywall a build. The community will 100% crucify them though lmao
lmao the bottom guy can start by paying the pob devs first for making build sharing possible
hmm it's sound like you are saying this builder will lock up any data which are need to create our own software like for example path of building
or what is drama behind that post ?
theres no drama guy just thinks he can paywall his pobs/builds
then i see no problem ? I mean if ppl are dumb and wanna pay for something which many provides for free just trough even video-clips
I fail to see how one could profit from it unless they are big CC
Because you either ask for money for yet another lightning arrow build, or for this expensive niche build works, trust me
Some ARPG players are uniquely bad
What's really funny is that GuyThatDies doesn't pay wall anything and also hates chatter around other people "stealing" his build, he's said multiple times in his livestreams that you can't own a build
So idk why he wants to die on this hill lol
Yeah it's just such a stupid arguing-for-the-sake-of-it thing
Aren't most in game characters visible too?
Fwiw he's actually a good CC, probably one of the better ones for PoE2
You live long enough to become the villain kind of thing?
Like you can pull up the name and see all the details?
Only if you use poeninja
But that doesn't accurately capture the context of builds at all
Ah, OK
I hope not, I think the PoE2 YT scene has more than enough dumpster fires
Yeah, Acolyte has been uniquely dogshit no matter what you do, it's basically a class where you have to ignore all the actual interesting stuff on it
It's really funny because Ducks made a literally immortal Chonk last league that could just faceroll through fully juiced temples, increasing difficulty juiced t16 abysses, everything
It was insane
He streamed it on the discord for us and our jaws were on the floor
But the biggest reason it could do that was leech, and with GGG nerfing leech, he's pivoting back to grenades I think because that's about as strong and nobody is looking at grenades for some reason
The issue it has is that the cool parts of the ascendancy just do nothing. Volatility? Awful. Flames? Clunky and have a 33% chance to be useless. Darkness? Good joke.
You can guarantee extra damage flames
Which is what he was doing iirc
Extra damage flames, chaos leeched as life node
Darkness and Volatility are gigantic memes tho
And I have no idea why
Okay so instead of a 33% chance to be useless you turn it into "this is just a passive tree notable with extra effort"
Wdym
If I have so little embers it feels like a waste to go with bartuc at this point
There is a notable on tree that is 50% extra as chaos iirc. And doesn't need you to collect things.
It's 140% damage as extra chaos with just the ascendancy nodes tho
I don't think you are understanding my problem with it
50% extra baked into the skill, 50% extra in choice of power
It's an ascendancy node
It should be strong, unique, and interesting
It should not have the same effect as something on the passive tree, bigger numbers or not
It's definitely not unique yeah, but I have seen pretty solid demonstration of how strong it is so idk. It's definitely the least problematic thing on the whole ascendancy
I'm happy with the direction of this patch so far, pending patch notes, but 1.0 better come with some equally massive balancing changes fr
I was testing some spear levelling the other day and it is COMICAL how shit it feels unless you play as God and Jonathan intended and use Parry a lot (in first half of a1 anyway)

Like come on bro
These are not three separate boxes to check, mate. This is one box to me. I'm not arguing "oh it's okay because it's strong", it could be a node that literally says "You no longer take damage" and if it doesn't tick all these at once, I will call it bad.
Yeah that's fair, I think that's valid criteria to want for an ascendancy node
But it's just that not very many nodes meet it, in either game tbqh
Yeah, ascendancies should be cool and not something you can just path to anyways
Like Titan's 50% extra effect of passives meets it for example, but it's gated behind such a meme node lol
Is it after the extra space?
Yep
God that one sucks lmfaooo
Gods I hate whoever did this. "Well we need a tax for how strong it is" no you don't, it's an ascendancy node, shut up
One somewhat hopeful sign is that each new ascendancy has more and more such nodes that meet these criteria
Like Oracle and Shaman both had giga interesting nodes
Warrior is all taxation, no representation
Spiritwalker seems to as well
Why did they give Pathfinder "Herald of Plague but worse" and then remove it 😭
I agree that it shouldn't be a one lab node, but they could have just as easily split the effect into two nodes so you don't feel trolled
Pathfinder aka Identity Crisis, the Ascendancy
They could've done something even cooler, in fact! They could have left the 50% node and then put in another one that had a different effect on different types of nodes! Maybe it changes some keystones, maybe it flips the effect of certain stats (like idk attack speed to cast speed for an example) on other nodes, maybe it makes defense nodes into a different defense, literally anything to play into and synergize would have been amazing!
that's actually a pretty good idea, and they did in fact do something similar with Shaman right, but for Augments
and for Oracle
they just gave a whole bunch of NEW passive tree to path to
Deias, you're just jealous because other ascendancies don't come with a totebag
TOTEBAG LMFAO
The tote bag was useless because I only picked up currency after a certain point 😭
LMFAO, that's what totebags are for
Random ass junk you don't wanna put in your pockets
It really did feel like paying into an expensive event and only recieving a lil totebag
Unrelated, Boru when do I scam you into playing Riftbound?
Can I play it online for free?
Sorta yeah. RiftAtlas. Do gotta learn triggers and whatnot, it doesn't do them automatically.
What is picked from the tree then ? I mean, I know that just flat boosts, I just don't remember what that ascendancy had lol
It had some Chaos stuff going on and something to do with mana
I think ? All I remember about it are those interesting, but "never pick those nodes" choices
yk like darkness
Good luck!
I'm going strong so far, I look forward to chilling a lil afterwards
One more challenge to go and I should be done with the season (will probably make a barb or something though next)
you basically just take Flames + Flames upgrade, chaos leech, and double chaos res
everything else is garbage
Void Illusion is good if you're levelling allegedly
Hmm, I see
Done
that said, the new unique helm they teased that lets remnants affect allies might open up a path to some kind of funny but effective Chonk minion build
but I'd rather eat sand than play minions in PoE2
After playing minions in poe2 I agree
it's unbelievable that we have a game full of minions that can be raised as Spectres and literally ALL OF THEM except 1 are shit

two if you count elephant for Infernal Legion
Cool, characters and stories are easier to remember and understand who's who and what happened to them in game of thrones than house of cards
Uhuh
what bro doin
Vision.
All lords and ladies dislike and even be enemy with Tyrion Lannister, the imp, but I appreciate how talented he is on wise choices of sentences. Quite good at speaking...
really good at drinking too
I predict that a huge bunch of people are gonna try to play zoomaster Spiritwalker and get absolutely baited and rage out at the minion AI
but I also predict that there will be at least a few good builds for it
I've tried enough minion builds in poe2
not gonna do more unless they make enough changes for them tbh
Never try any minion builds so I interested in cooking one if I can
Hang on my abyssal lich for too long time lol
comical that the best way to play minions in the game is by weapon swapping

Infernal Legion
you get the elephant tortoise with GG auras, scale minion life absolutely everywhere and put Infernal Legion on it
then you just run around and use weapon swaps to prevent it from dying + teleport it around with you
it's ridiculous how busted it is and it is basically the only minion build I've seen in that game that has actual QoL
because you bypass the whole pathing issue thing and lack of convocation and don't need to fiddle with Skeletal Clerics and all that crap to keep the minion topped up
it's funny but even the guy that afaik pioneered it (Oscrix) wants it to be fixed, even he agrees this should not be a thing and a better method is needed
because as long as it exists, it's objectively just better than whatever else you can do
Hmm
we are getting patch notes next friday, right?
ah well
maybe it's fixed and nothing else comes in return
iirc they've said there's not a lot of balancing happening this patch afaik
expect to see another quarter of the population playing CoC Comet
I've played 2 leagues, and ended both with coc comet.
honestly I don't understand the appeal to being THAT overpowered
I just played a bog standard wolf oracle (though much more optimized than like 99% of players that I saw on ninja) and I was just taking a massive dump on the game without ever bothering with temple farming
Lots of people love to finish on COCs during leagues
yea I love coc, even have a 100 fross coc occ this poe1 league
I didn't even touch temple lol
too much headache
I didn't bother tpo much. I might do exploration for boats
My thoughts - to me, it doesn't sound like anything new. There's always been some amount of monetisation of sites and services.
Whole traditional build guides or detailed PoB codes behind Patreon subscriptions, reviewing builds of subscribers, donations to keep sites running, subscriptions to remove ads on commercial build sites, dynamic item filters from Filterblade.
All throughout time, the community decides what goes and what they will oppose.
There is of course the various "RMT" clauses in the Terms of Use, but those are muddy waters.
Build a service to pirate build plans 😉
LOL
I am impressed at the handling, I've seen entire PR departments do worse lmfao
Shhhh, let 'im dig
I mean honestly it's an incredibly stupid take from downright ignorant people because there's SO GOD DAMN MANY builds that are not giga combo oriented or CoC comet, like it isn't even hard
the whole game isn't even particularly hard
it's just this pervasive mentality of "no nerf only buff" that's been poisoning the gaming sphere ever since Helldivers 2 became a thing
i think she’e saying she agrees with the “let casual players have their easy builds” because… casual players should have their easy builds
again, there's really no shortage of easy builds in the game
I'm being perfectly serious
Yeah the issue (for me) is that like 80% of them are oriented around the same cycle of "buff/util skill -> damage skill", and there's so few skills that actually perform as main damage skills without insane invest that it makes things feel super stale
yeah that's a fair, and separate, criticism
you kinda need to do the whole Please Follow the Build Guide™ thing
To me it's inherently linked to the "please no more CoC Comet" complaint because it's functionally the same issue
but these low IQ trolls pretend as though you only have 2 options, MMO combo rotas or CoC comet, and that is hilariously far from the reality
I don't follow?
Comet is just one of the few good damage skills in the game, so people find the easiest way to spam it which always follows the same exact blueprint. This would be less of an issue (or less prevalent if you want to argue that angle) if other skills were innately good. Bows and spears are still the best examples I think; there's about 3 to 4 skills in both of those weapons that is actually good at damage, especially in single target territory.
hmmm
I get what you're saying, but my take on it is more that Comet is UNCONDITIONALLY good damage as long as you find a way to spam it. Whereas most other damage-intended skills in the game have a conditional to meet if you want them to do good damage. And the fact that some skills are damage-intended whereas others are not is itself, eh, certainly a choice
also GGG struggling to once again balance CoC is such an incredibly funny deja vu

I mean the conditional for Comet is that bypass method in my eyes
I wonder how many more mistakes they'll be remaking
Reminding me I should stop being lazy and actually start practicing my league starts. Tomorrow. Yeah that's a tomorrow angle.
Idk how you guys do it. I'd burn out trying to "practice" any game.
Simple: I don't
I do things I enjoy kinda that simple tbh
The only practice I ever do is if a build idea is untested and uncertain to work well/feel good. Then I boot up and make a leveling run and some mapping with it to find out, and that's the only time I "practice" it.
so far the list of "things they'd (mostly) fixed but decided to mess with yet again for the sake of being different" includes:
- melee
- rarity
- CoC
- minion life
- skill level scaling
- ES vs life
- Armor
- Evasion
- Block
Hey, hey. They messed with accuracy as a whole, and also movement speed.
True
I appreciate leasurely strolling in the maps
I've been messing with PoB in my breaks, EHP and damage should be OK
I wanna level as Druid and go into Oracle Str Stacker
Through the ending of e5 s1 game of thrones is the type I'm enjoyed, but that's quite scary and upset
you will be upset with the season 1 finale, it was great
lol
all my (2) builds were pretty much one skill
1st used 2 more skills for bossing
bigger problem for both PoE's is that you need to have a ton of game knowledge to make a build that can do t16s and at least get voidstones
Current status
Yes, and then the doors called "life goals" temporarily shut down as well 😂
😂 Seven hells. Cool learnt a new catchphrase
He also ran PoE2 at games done quick
got just below 3hours on acts1-4
dam
always happy seeing that W3 custom gaming is still alive even tough its just barely
Beautiful simply beautiful
I wanted something like Facebreaker ever since they added Hollow Palm to the game. Next up: a Quarterstaff that turns all the skills into fire ones.
Now I just need Fists of Stone with different Unique gloves showcase to know what my endgame plan will be
Imagine if facebreaker gets bonus dmg from atlas bosses
it doesn't, campaign only
if it did, there'd be no point in using any other item ever
infinite scaling, why not
Apparently it might be DoA, which if true, sucks
Wouldn't be the first time
I'd still try it with monk though. Just to see how far I can get.
yeah I'm 100% expecting that oil ground nonsense to get fixed
Some folks saying it won't be able to be endgame viable because basic endgame gear will outscale it early on.
If that's true, that's unfortunate. If not, awesome!
folks say all sorts of stuff, especially before patchnotes
I'm not good at math, so I can't verify anything myself.
It is
I wonder if poe1 ever had something like LE's unique/exalted temporal sanctum crafting. That'd be great for making weaker uniques more useful later on I'd guess.
I'd really prefer it didn't
The legendary system in LE is literally the biggest problem in all of LE itemization
you can kinda "power up" weaker uniques via other interactions
like stat stacking
or using skills that scale with gem level instead of being dependent on weapon
What? Why, I think it's awesome!
Because 95% of builds just devolve into "put a 2LP legendary in every single slot" and it's boring and repetitive
What's the fix without making uniques lame?
Redo all of it. Scrap the whole thing. Make exalteds actually matter, stop letting people slap every affix ever onto a unique, maybe stop letting people guarantee slams so there's actual risk again, remove imprints, idk dude I'm not the designer I'm just a player with 1600 hours who thinks the game took a shitty direction
they're already introducing a system to "upgrade" low level uniques
also what Deias said. Legendary slamming is the lamest shit ever
Drop-only Exalteds were the greatest innovation LE introduced, and then they promptly turned and emptied a shotgun into it by creating and then BUFFING the legendary slam system

what's innovative in drop only exalteds?
I sure do wonder what's innovative in the only system in any ARPG that offers real, serious incentive to look at and pick up rare ground items because they actually contain item modifiers impossible to obtain in any other way

I guess not impossible anymore, which is also topkek
i don't get it, isn't it kinda where it all started? better loot can only be dropped and not crafted etc
I mean. No. Diablo 2's best loot for example is practically all crafted
LE was like, the only game that had dropped loot actually be useful on the high end and they kinda ruined that part
Idk I like it. Feels like I can make progress in a reasonable time. I can never make or find good gear in poe2.
Skill issue then
i see
i didnt get far enough in d2
PoE2 is like, genuine item printer type crafting
it always seemed to me like good arpg progression is you pick up ground loot -> you craft best gear
so basically remove some rng and make it more deterministic
i'd argue LE ground loot is still useful on the higher end tho
for slamming :^)
i can't imagine picking any rare item in t16 in poe and it being better than what i wear now
or having any usefulness for that matter
Sure, but the crafting aspect shouldn't be a literal line by line editor. Make it have effort and knowledge check, and not "put these two affixes on this unique for Win More"
I always find crap in poe2 tbh
i still craft exalteds i slam
Sure, but the crafting aspect shouldn't be a literal line by line editor.
if it would be line by line editor it would be less likely to fail
some slamming material gets shattered in the end :(
You should deadass never be failing an actual slam material craft. Never.
I cannot stress it enough how hilariously simple and easy it is to get exactly what you are looking for in LE
Feels good too.
Not really
If it did it wouldn't be in the gutters reception and player count wise
well glyph of chaos doesn't think so :^)
tbf all i saw was people praising LE crafting
i prefer it over poe any day
Same
I'm with Deias, it feels more like a time sink than anything else
eldritch implicits crafting flashback
You're outing yourself tbh. But oh well, no point arguing to LE Andys.
wow
rude
I CAN'T TYPE HO SPACE MOGENIZE IN CHAT UGHHHH
very rude. Geez
I am being oppressed
Yes, I am rude, glad you finally noticed
But why?
IMO, I do feel like PoE2's crafting is fairly linear
Because there's no point being nice to strangers on the internet I do not know or care for, you're a faceless enigmatic presence to me
Deias has been slurred and insulted enough on this server to be rightfully jaded TBH
poe2 crafting seemed even worse than 1
at least early
slam with augs/alchs/exalted and pray
There's more to it than that
Why would you stick around somewhere like that?
Like that? You mean here? IDK, I don't wanna go onto a PoE dedicated server
They seem smelly
You'd get less pushback there. And nobody has to be rude for no reason to strangers.
every poe1 league i promise myself i would do some endgame crafting once i'm done with the league
but i quit earlier than i get around to it
Because I still have a slim sliver of hope this game regains some sense of direction and does something good in the 7 years I've been following it
It doesn't come across that way.
though poe2 endgame crafting is even more mystery to me than poe1
That's fine, I don't care about how I come across to people I do not know
I never get far in poe2 tbh. I get to the endgame and lose all steam. Can't even enjoy poe1.
Have you read up on it?
Like just read a recommended guide or directly messed with it?
Guides are so long and mathy. I know it's not a word. 🙁
no
Just read
AKA Do homework.
i wasn't interested in crafting anything when i played
maybe this upcoming league...
Do you not look stuff up when you're enjoying something to learn more about it?
It's not really mathy at all, I have dyscalculia and have no issues with PoE crafting
Why wouldn't I want to engage others in something I enjoy?
i like mathy tbh. when it's related to videogames
Yeah, PoE crafting is very much step by step
Not really. I watch other people have fun with it, but homework? No. I wouldn't be able to retain the info.
It'd go in one ear and out the other.
I'm not saying it's homework, I'm saying to just look over and read for fifteen minutes
It's essentially a flow chart for the most part
Yeah, I read up on interactions so I can do cool shit
Something about my brain won't retain info unless it's a concept that I can grasp and am super interested in. Once math comes in, it's lost me.
There's not that much math, most of it is calculated for you
How do you learn new thinfs that aren't readily apparent?
Like politics, history, etc
I don't typically. It's the eternal struggle. I also don't have any interest in politics.
I tend to heavily advocate for making info available in-game, and as easy to understand as possible. The less esoteric the better.
I like to stay informed and be able to navigate these things, it's important
This explains much about this conversation
If I could do that and stay interested long enough to retain the info, I'd do it.
i agree, if i can play a game without any outside info/tools, it would be perfect
though most of my favourite games require spreadsheets for optimal play 😬
poe2 actually did good thing in that regard with pretty comprehensive tooltips explaining keywords
I love reading. Just not... that kind of reading, if it makes sense.
Like sometimes a chapter isn't exciting, but it feels better to have taken the time to learn it and I feel good for it
I read fiction too, sometimes
I've legitimately read chapters of important subjects over and over, and been unable to recall any of it. It just won't stick. Unless I'm just sucked in, invested, and excited the whole way. Once interest is lost, it's over. Been that way my whole life.
This might be a method issue for your comprehension?
I'll highlight and colorcode information to help me track it when I'm exhausted for school
Possibly
But it is also a skill you gotta take time to work up
can you point me to a single build guide for PoE2, hell even PoE1, that has ANY math in it whatsoever. I'm struggling to recall a single one and I'm unashamedly obsessive in going over various builds
They tell you some calculations sometimes and explain their reasoning, but it's non-effort to read it unless you wanna analyze it
on that note i wish more arpgs did what rainbow filter for grim dawn did.
color coding affixes by groups is so very helpful
which like 90% of people don't read anyway
"Hey pohx, I have -15% fire res, why is my RF killing me??"
Good Lord, it's brutal
I swear people have 0 ability to read for themselves these days
I can't wait to do some reading once this week is up and I'm done with finals
I may have misspoke. I used the term mathy when what I might have meant was spreadsheet-y? Maybe? A fair few of the guides I looked up (mostly ones to figure out HOW to make a build) sent me to PoB. It's a very non-diegetic method of calculating build outcomes as far as I can tell. And it was incredibly overwhelming. Many guides also utilized common terms that hardcore arpg players just knew, that I felt like I needed a specialized dictionary for. I'm a little past that NOW, but it took me 3 years to commit things like increased dmg and MORE dmg to memory. I'm still iffy on some of it tbh.
Top 3 stupidest PoE streamer chats:
- pohx
- fubgun
- Raxx or DM idk
I don't know how you don't get increased vs more for 3 years. Literally just means "add" and "multiply"
It's a me thing. That's all.
This is not meant to be offensive or inflammatory. Do you have a learning disability?
Unless you count ADHD as a learning disability, then no.
It is, it directly impacts your ability to process things "normally"
Fair enough
ADHD can impact on a level, but I've got it and I'm pretty active on my reading outside of classes
See, I also have ADHD, and a healthy dose of autism, but I'm wondering if we ended up on essentially opposite ends of it.
It's possible.
I'm going to potentially get crap for this
I'm watching a Schwingy PoE video rn. One of his random roulette build vids from poe1. Primarily for entertainment purposes, additionally for exposure and normalizing terms in my brain. I'm looking at a still image of Glacial Hammer and I've had to read it several times for some of the info to make sense.
So I ask questions like "What does *Effectiveness of Added Damage" mean?
Do you ever read the skills tooltip?
That's what this is.
Like they got this box when you pull them up and it lists information
I think.
i sometimes need to read a few times too to make sense
and test it out just in case
but English is not my first language
I read tooltips a lot, but I tend to have more questions than answers. And rarely have someone I'd trust to ask.
poe wiki explains quite a lot
ADE/EAD is just a scalar for the added damage from your used weapon (and other sources). So for example 300% ADE means that if your total flat damage is 75-100 then it gets scaled to 150-300 (because 100% is just baseline, not actually scaled at all)
I absolutely just mistyped the first number
Point being, that's the functionality behind it
(I'm just gonna go screenshot it real quick
225-300 🤓
but yes
