I'm just imagining in India how everyone who seeks government services is also making calculations for "bribe money" on the side
And how this kind of decision-making is ingrained into society
The US has its flaws, damn I know that, but holy crap that's insane
the positive side is that once you've paid, you can be pretty certain your thing will go through
10x is INCREDIBLY rare, would probably apply only to, like, govt District Magistrates conducting tax audits or some shit
Positive, but also reinforcing behavior hah
ofc
it is too ingrained to just vanish so easily
the bribery income streams flow bottom to top AND top to bottom
officers assign postings to favorites basis the money that's possible to be earned
I gotta remind myself the grass isn't always greener on the other side, heh.
I'm incredibly privileged, despite many of my strong oppositions to the way our government works. It could always be, way, way worse.
I personally wouldn't wanna move to the US but I can see plenty of reasons why people from India do
But would you rather be in the US (I assume you currently are?) rather than India?
I'm not in the US, I'm in Canada
Ah, very nice
India vs US... tough call for me tbh
US IF AND ONLY IF I was 100% certain wife and I would be strongly employed, and India in every other scenario
Canada always gave me the vibe of "US pop culture with less unchecked corruption" :P
And better healthcare access and social nets in general. And generally speaking they're less antagonistic towards marginalized communities.
Yeah for sure, I kinda just bundled that into "less unchecked corruption" but yeah it's a fair and noteworthy distinction.
Fair lol
Yeah I figured those things just kinda come with the territory of not being corrupt hahaha
Or being less corrupt
Probably yeah. I'm not sure on the state of the UK corruption wise but hoo boy, they are definitely getting more... distasteful towards minorities.
Not surprising after Brexit
This is going to sound like a pick-me statement, but as an immigrant myself I can tell you that just because someone is a minority doesn't mean they're not an entitled sshle. The fires of racism aren't only fueled by racists
Definitely, nothing is ever so black and white, for sure.
Our inability to hold nuanced discussions as a society tends to crowd opinions into one or two extremes.
Good morning, break a new record on the time of getting up again
Morning!
Zero-pressure mattress is quite comfy... Slept on that 9 night, it prove it's what I need for my dreaming bed.
New item on wishlist +1
Back to sleep on my over-solid mattress tonight... I'll miss that so much
zero pressure = zero problem
huh
thank you max
I'm semi-deaf now... It's the simple lunch I ate, potatoes + chicken + fish steak + rice
I'm back to Guangzhou.
All clothes become a burden here because 28c outside
simple lunch looks healthy, big win
Guangzhou has cool and high buildings
don't get burn in clothes lol
Gonna go see my nephew today
Haven't seen him since last summer
My noodles 😭 They're not available anymore... Back to days of rice only
Friend's mom in canada had to wait over 6 months to get her broken leg looked at in canada
by the time they actually checked her it was already healed wrong so they did nothing
Tbh I can't wait to be back home and play more
always hate our healtcare then remember on NA and similar states and saying "geez at least i can get healtcare"
it sounds strange that broken bones dont get immediate attention with some wait time in hours
well actually yes, that's it strange
i would except too that with money you could just wait queue in some hospital or similar smaller places which can check out "urgent" problems
napkin estimation, so take it with a big grain of salt
but it also suggests the ratio of concurrent players to copies sold
do you mind me spoiler sts 2 if I play that later?
I guess you learnt all cards already
I haven't but StS2 doesn't have much story so feel free to do so
no fair seems s4 and bl update are on same day .. not nice for arpg players
Oh I mean spoilers of gameplay, of course
Gameplay isn't much of a spoiler issue to me and probably most people
It's more so for single player story driven games (that are relatively new) where we usually prefer spoilers
Also if you want maybe we can do some multiplayer in sts2 (if you don't lose interest almost immediately lol)
After playing a decent bunch, I am VERY positive about the new Atlas. There's only 2 issues with it, both easily solvable:
- Special fights and invitations being linked to the atlas shouldn't be a thing, you should just be able to toss it in and go
- For a new player, there's no indication of which quadrant belongs to which boss, so in combination with 1 it can make progression annoying.
Outside of these teething issues I think the new system is absolutely stellar and makes life so much easier
No chisel nonsense, no fiending for specific adjacent map shenanigans, no master mission crap
So much less busywork
T17s still t17s but at least they're no longer the end-all be-all endgame farm
Big W from GGG IMO
Hopefully they fix the 2 issues next league, should be quite easy
I feel they might've gotten enough feedback
Like imagine going... let's say top right first
And then you get eater or exarch invitation
It's at the other end
frustration
Ya that's the issue I completely agree is avoidable
There's so many ways to solve it and I'm hopeful it'll be fixed next league
That said it won't bother any of us next league anyway, regardless
They'll just shuffle the corners to be different
That'd be pretty unpopular if they did that but I also see no reason for them to do it
That said, if they just change invites / special bosses to not be linked to the atlas to run, it'd be functionally irrelevant
New thing needs polishing from a company that don't have much testers or used the term beta outside the initial release lmao
Ofc it's on the community to polish the new mechanic
I just can't believe we still have this servers in current year / "it's Ur ISP problem"
I m back to switching servers everyday after work because it's EU pick hours
Apparently they are getting ddossed
Nothing new eather , I do have a curiosity of why though
Not a PvP game not competing on hard market / Asian market why the hell in the world should u ddos this
Because those "people" aren't happy with something so they want to punish
Yea ,next level of csgo sour players
It's incomprensible to me to do things like that because u had a bad time playing a game
2 mints of my brain just took to think how u spell sour yesus I might need magnesium pills for me old brain
Corrupted one valyrium for fun
That minus 40 cold Res is like a tic to me
Doesn't matter if u have freeze immune just the slow if u not capped is so annoying
I really hate things that slow u action speed down
Wow
Works both ways in my brain for clearing and bossing , first is what I like the most
Do not interact with the person who does not know PoE mechanics.
Yeah I know he's a clueless wonder lol
That was partially for myself ngl, I have a habit of taking the bait

Looks like 6 dongs
but maybe I'll just try & sell it fast 🤔
Got pledge
yes
My fault, gang
It's a good build so props

I just hated the Kitava's Thirst variant
Stupid jank ass helm
managed to 6link it too
Well, "managed"
used the morrigan for it
Now... what support do I replace normal echo with LUL
The staff already has greater spell echo
Eh I guess enery leech support for now
But got to visit the store before I actually run anything with that
pizza time
That looks amazing
I've got pretty good at making pizza 😄
only hobby chef 😅
hmm
still only at 5552 mana
thanks slaverboy
That ain't no pizza. It's a pie
huh
minesweeper tournament live and winding down. figured someone might find it entertaining
It reminded me of the big fat pizzas they have in America lol
Tbf that's a regional thing. NY has like three different styles of pizza, and two of them are rather thin.
The US genuinely has incredible variety in the food selection, and often people outside the US are only exposed to the stereotypes or fast food which dramatically skews the perception
One day I'd like to travel to the US for food and craft beer scene
Never judge Boston pizza that's what I learned it's very different
The ones I'm thinking of are from Chicago?
I've been to NC and I'm limited with my diet but the food I had there was pretty nice
Namely their frozen yogurts
Freds or something is what I remember the franchise name lol
Yeah, Chicago deep dish. It's a Chicago thing, as you can probably guess lol. They're usually rectangular though I think
I only found about it from Ramseys Kitchen nightmares lol
Ok no nvm that was a different pizza
Thin crust pizza
Personally I like a nice middle ground between thick crust and thin crust (thick crust is not Chicago style to be clear, different things)
That's a lasagna
Also is it a regional thing to call pizza 'pie'? I've sometimes even heard it being referred to pizza pie
Honestly I don't know the answer to that
I get the joke but not really, big difference between a thick dough base with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni (and optionally other toppings), and a dish made of layered thin noodles, ground beef, and cheese coated in sauce
I see the deep dish more as a pie than pizza tbf
Hmmmm... alright you can have it
I should bake a pie again tbh
Ngl I think between deep dish pizza and pies I'd 100% pick the pizza
Neither look appetising to me though
You should try pie, it's great. Plenty of kinds, all pretty good.
Well. Probably not great if you don't enjoy sweets
You could have a meaty pie
Oh I'm more specific about British pies that usually have meat in them
But if I compare sweet pies to chocolate pizza I think once again the pizza wins lol
oh lol
I think it's the cheese.
I use ball mozarella and grated Pecorino Romano.
Man
Sure is fun having a random teammate in Deadlock that just runs to die under enemy guardian without minions
And just going attack items as graves
A4 on ironlad done
you have to become the joke
Way ahead of you
yeah there you go!
Im all for it. Gimme the 🍵
I feel bad for Dr3ad. Brilliantly creative w.r.t. the ARPG space but his main game betrayed all his hopes and dreams
tough situation
i sort of dont wanna open it up because well, he has contributed A LOT to the game IMO over the years
like, i respect the work he has put in as a content creator and a theorycrafter
But im just confused to how quick this whole situation turned from divorcing LE to coming back to it, before the season even ended
And, don't get me wrong, im happy he is back making LE content, i prefer him doing that than not
I have no idea and don't know why tbh maybe he just has the itch again
I was planning to skip this poe1 league but here I am back at it
happens
im still waiting for EHG to give me a good enough reason to play S4, honestly
a node here, a unique there, cool
but 2 seasons worth of wait should come with game altering, fundemental changes
I am not entering a nearly identical endgame loop i had since season 2
I entered endgame loop too much in 1.1 so I'm burned out seriously
I think the fun of le is from endgame only
Campaign is just something boring I must play if I want to jump in endgame before masteries reset was here
But none of campaign in ARPG I played interests me after played that over 2 times so it's not a big deal 🤔
I'm not entering the nearly identical, unsatisfying loop I've been playing since 2020
Not enough. It's just echoes with bigger numbers. Didn't even bring like, actual bosses or any actual new playable content.
much of it feels like chores
you have to find consumeables to defeat a trivial level, to then access a crafting station
The weaver tree is like PoE atlas progression except unlike that the benefits you get are almost entirely numerical or "drop this item more often" instead of actually changing how you approach the game.
my joy from the game comes from build crafting, but more work has to be done in order for me to "discover" stuff
one of those is having nodes and passives actually work
the whole game is trivial tbh
kinda why I just logged off
you can take a literal nonsense random junk build and take it into "high corruption" as the devs define it
absolute joke
The recent skill statistics kind of put a mirror in front of EHG to the nature of how people utilize their systems
Oh no, you don't understand uh... They have a transitional period from the purchase, yeah, that's it. Before that? Uhhhh.... time pressure, yeah yeah that's it. Wdym before that? Or the almost 6 years of beta? Uhm.... it was a beta, it's okay for things to be bugged or unfinished :)))
I was excited for skill sigils, or the idea of skill sigils, because I thought to myself "finally, we are throwing some wild cards into builds"
Just, anything that can break the monotony of build crafting
ill wait for the patch notes, but the fact most skills remain relatively inactive, and far less than viable to build on, with lack of powerful synergies and supporting item affixes isnt making me too optimistic
Hi Cyborg, welcome to slander hour (I'm one of the slanderers)
it'll just be more power creep and nothing much at all to do with it
I'll play S4 and S5 but I'm really waiting for the expansion tbh, a lot of the things I fundementally want changed seem to be slated for the expansion. Just sucks it's so far away
I don't mind waiting for the exp
but this season gap was 7 months, what would it take for 2 additional major patches?
can't be slander if it's true
💀
I mean I don't either, I have other things to play in the meantime, I'll play current seasons for a week or two still. I still enjoy playing my build and doing the new content / seeing if I can make my build any better or not
insane to cook expansions for a game that's so underbaked that if it were a pie recipe, the chicken wouldn't even have laid the eggs for it yet
I mean it's an "expansion", they can call it whatever
Afaik we still don't even know if it's gonna cost anything even for people who don't have the game already
This isn't the same as the D4 expansion at all in my eyes
Whenever a system to inject stats onto items is introduced, the first question I have for Mike, or just in general is "So, what is the craziest outcome of this system?". My hope is to get something that will hook me onto "unlocking" gameplay I have yet to meet. Not just numbers go up
As far as I'm concerned it's just a "super season"
Biggest insult of it imo is pushing the remaining chapters as some grand aspect of the "expansion" as if that shouldn't have been in the game from the damn start
No, they're slated for the expansion lmao
I was under the impression they will drop on season 5, two chapters in one go
at least of this part of "the story so far"
afaik they'll under the expansion
this is s5
Absolutely wild handling
Well, at least the holiday season this year will see enough accumilative changes for me to dive back
Personally I don't care about the campaign, as far as I'm concerned they could just say we're gonna call it at act 10 and it wouldn't really bother me tbh
I had more fun playing this newest chapter than the rest of the story
maybe because of the new zones
Maybe because I am forced to go through half of it on each season start to get to the end
that's crazy
I think the expansion is basically what should have been 1.0. you can call it 2.0 or whatever you want. I don't personally care about "full release" or whatever other tag you want to give it
the campaign is the whole reason i bought the game and they didn't deliver
even with 1.0, the "finished" version of the game
imo that's a straight up scam
I mean, would it have been better if the game just stayed in early access even now until orobyss dropped and then that'd be 1.0? what actual tangible difference would it have made?
to me it makes none
i mean yeah that would be better
Honestly I don't disagree, it would have avoided a lot of drama. But it might also have created drama of its own since the game would've been in early access for even longer than it already had been
people were already complaining about how long it was in early access back then
so I think there's pros and cons
at the end of the day though nothing about the gameplay or content itself would've changed which is why I don't really care. they can call / make any version of the game anything for all I care
story is just one of many disorganized pillars of LE
I just really hope the echo changes in the expansion will make the system good. I've never really liked it
The only reason i keep "giving chances" to LE is because I still find it a fun game. not as heavily replayable as i wish, but i can still extract fun out of it
There are so many things i wish LE would treat, and endgame systems and story isn't the half of it lol
But we are in 2026, and im generally growing a lot less patient to games I have given 20 chances to
Idk I don't really get that perspective. You already own the game, and from the looks of it you'll continue to get the seasonal content for free. So there's no price to pay for just waiting. It's not like if you wait a year or two and come back you'll have to buy 100 bucks worth of stuff to play again (assuming nothing changes). I don't really get why you'd ever "give up" on something that while it might not reach the standard needed for you to enjoy it, is still slowly improving and might one day reach it
sure feels like early access even now lmao
I have actually played early access games in much better shape than this ngl
Like I haven't played poe in a long time now, but It's not like i've "given up" on it. I still look at the trailers and if it interests me I'll just jump back in, if not I won't
ive put PoE2 on ice
What I really need is the next major stoneshard update sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh
i take issue with them not finishing the story before other stuff
that thing is looking juiced
especially since in the years of them not finishing the story they haven't added anything meaningful
the biggest update in the last years was the broken faction system and the multiplayer
That's a totally valid take, I'm of the stance that I'd rather they delay the story as long as it takes for the endgame to be in a good state
I actually don't understand where their dev hours go
it all depends on what content you enjoy tbh
Story? not happening. Content? Barely dripfed in. Level design? Some, some of it nice. New classes or skills? Barely any. Bugs? Alive and thriving for years. Balance? LMFAO.
Check out these wands 🔥
Also finally getting legendaries and the enchant rework
It's gonna be lit
Me neither, but im treading carefully in that regards. Im assuming it goes into something big we have yet to see
im also getting a lot of taste of how just powerful and effective is having experienced workhorse veterans in your team
Mike has said he's been working on orobyss stuff for like the past year iirc, So maybe that's where a lot of their time has gone
seeing fresh companies based on these people shows me how tremendously effective they are at contributing to their game
honestly that doesn't make it an iota better but whatever. Who knows, maybe they pull off some insane miracle and fix all the bugs and balance all the classes and create a real endgame and end world hunger while they're at it
Yeah, even if they work on the big 2027 update
like, guys, don't let the trail die before you reach Oregon
tempted to start calling Orobyss Oregon instead
and yeah I don't really know where most of their dev time goes either, pitch drop experiment vibes
we're just ride or die players
the problem is that we're not sure who is the one going to die
Time to relearn exapunks for the third time because I keep playing until like halfway through and then taking too long of a break so I forget too much x)
Stoneshard? :0
I played the game ages ago worth it now?
thats almost a third of my brawlhalla hours
It has a lot of replayability imo
That's awesome.
I was worried cause it was really barebones once you left the demo area whenI played
Each individual run doesn't take very long, but there's tons of different combinations you can play
Did you have a paper map you had to have in your inventory last you played?
I think so?
Last time I played was a few months after they released ea.
Oh yeah
it's come a long way since
it had a really big update at the end of 2024 that changed a ton
The map is way bigger, you get to have your own caravan, basically a mobile base. dungeons got completely reworked, way more enemies, items etc
Insane improvement x)
Smh they're trying to contain my genius
lmao
more than 5x increase in size for a less than 2% speed gain ez
I legit have no clue how you can get it under 200
Apparently I've done it in the past lmao
I've been enlightened
OK
we're in the big leagues now
at this point the optimizations are pure cheese I feel lmao
I'm a god
man, I just spent like 6d swapping to Celestial Brace + Unstoppable Hero setup, thinking I'd only lose a bit of damage and gain tank, ended up losing like nearly a quarter for just a bit of extra phys maxhit
sadge
I completed that just now :)
pretty cool
A new lumbar pillow. Hah my back feels better a lot when I lay on the bad mattress with that 🎉
I couldn't resist any longer
We're gaming
whats this
A few red flags on the steam page, but otherwise looks cool
I'd just download the demo and see if you enjoy how it plays. the actual game is very different from the demo but it does give you an idea about how the core systems function at least
Not sure what's really wrong with the store page tbh
The roguelike aspect is definitely a nope from me
Eh it's really not one tbh
well idk I guess it depends on what you'd call a roguelike
you can play softcore and save
there's also no meta progression or anything
I'd just call it an rpg
It's also not like the "runs" are short or anything, a character can take like 50 hours + to max out
Stoneshard has maybe only difficulty in common with more traditional roguelikes
It's really an open world, dungeon crawler RPG
Yep
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2713000/Resonance_A_Plague_Tale_Legacy/
emmmm... Belong to focus entertainment but it's quite quiet on their side
I want to learn more but...
I want to know how hard will gameplay be so I can decide can I play that or not
The latest news about this game studio is May.23th, 2024 emmm...
Ok they're hiring so this studio still here, glad to hear that
Ok brimstone doesn't seem to be as good in sts2
That makes sense but kinda sucks too
https://store.steampowered.com/app/752590/A_Plague_Tale_Innocence/
emmmm.. Find this game after followed the clue of asobo studio, hear that for the first time but it was a popular narrative-driven adventure game in 2019?
The last story-rich adventure game I played is layers of fear, played that in 2023...lol
alright it's not include in game pass but requiem does
Didn't expect to like the necrobinder so much tbh, it has super good cycling
Borrowed time and neurosurge are just op
I did have a duration of like 3 fights where I was on 5 hp so I couldn't really play them and that was a bit of a struggle but we pulled through since I have so much block generation
Playing ethereal almost feels like playing an easier regent lmao
It took me a few tries before I finally got my win on her and regent
Regent took me a while but this was my first necrobinder run
regent feels so inconsistent but I love it lol
it has so many shitty cards x)
But once you get it going you really get it going
This is still my strongest run yet
I'm on A5 with the defect
Going to grind all of them one by one to 10
and A4 on ironclad
Order of first one showing up in the game
yea I'm just jumping around, playing whatever I feel like
Monster train was good fun
Yea I don't know if it's ocd or something but I usually have to do things or have things in a certain order 😂
Cool looking voxel game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3495730/Lucid_Blocks/
I feel like I need to be on acid to play this lmao
oh yeah that game’s cool
You played it?
Looks like Minecraft played through the lens of LSD lol
Might grab it just to support the dev, it's a really cool idea
a pack of porcupines did what possessed Remembered or turbo juiced Feared did not...
watched some gameplay and decided i didn't want to see more so it was a surprise when i play it
Nice, good call lol
I just grabbed it, who knows when I'll get around to playing it :P
lol that's quite fun tbh... It's amazing to watch multiple streams together
The question is I don't know which game and which streamer should I watch. It depend on... Exploring frequently, yes
I open a gate of new world now 😂
I think the best way for me is mute all of streams and just watch what are they doing
it's useful if you're watching esports
🤔 This is the new dlc?
It's included in a bundle so it's less money need to pay, cool
This will not stand
They're perfect alter choice for replacing monster energy punch series so I can save more money, well done
200ml per can mean I can drink one can without pressures too.
Just zero caffeine. But I don't care caffeine now
(It's more healthy on the other side)
I tried blood orange, passionfruit and pink grapefruit already, very good so far
Nice name for a product in current year
I have a crap substitute for monster to and it has a loooot more flavours to and less fizzy witch is good for my stomach
Oh man
I had forgotten how much I hate the boss in burial chambers
hah ok. Lemon & lime is the most plain one and close to soda water the most.
Lemonade, glass bottle version is better than that a lot
Lemon & Lime ❎
Passionfruit ✅
Blood orange ✅
Pink grapefruit ✅
TIL you can rename your 'This PC'
Changed it to My PC because Microslop can go play with traffic
Honestly I can't take that too seriously
I guess it's better than trying to make it look menacing
but it's just... face hole
It better not sound like me after eating taco bell
I'd hope not..? <_<
But I am looking forward to it
I remember some years ago we got snow in the middle of June
.. well, "some years ago"
It's probably over a decade ago now
do you want them become your pets?
Can we get that hand as one of emoji or stickers in this server?
The hand that calls chip
I wonder which pose will chip show if it's here
Maybe it can replace hand poses from default emoji (cook a series)
Highfive is the only hand pose. Too less.
(I guess it can take EHG 0.5-1 year to do that... lol it's a massive task exactly)
Not having reaper any more kinda sucks
Makes running a10 a bit scarier with a self-harm build

"As Unknown Worlds prepared to release its hotly anticipated sequel, Subnautica 2, the parties’ relationship fractured. Internal projections showed the new title generating significant revenue that would easily trigger the earnout. Fearing he had agreed to a “pushover” contract, Krafton’s CEO consulted an artificial intelligence chatbot to contrive a corporate “takeover” strategy."
wow
The ChatGPT part is old news, but the reinstatement is fresh. Good for them, glad the evidence came out in their favor tbh.
Looks like Krafton is probably as bad as they seem, doesn't bode well for LE either :P
@muted schooner Dude https://youtu.be/-N3M9YA8CUI
twink items are kinda insane now, I'm lvl 9.
Mageblood is the best twink item xdd
xdd don't you have to be like lvl 50 for that or smth
Yeah but those last 5 acts are gonna be a breeze xdd
Shared from my work chat, lol'd
The bad news isnt about having an incompetent leadership with Krafton
The hammer will swing in the direction of Krafton's studios after having to pay that sum
Im not too happy about "cost cut plans" after that payment
EHG could end up paying the price for Unknown Worlds' payout, yeah. Not through the fault of either, of course, it seems that blame is squarely on Krafton.
And now, with a legal stamp on it
We're leaving the speculation zone
You know, maybe someone with true love for this genre can secure an IP transfer for a fair sum
Unless Krafton somehow manages to sabotage Subnautica 2 so bad that UW can't meet their bonus payout threshold, I wouldn't be surprised if Krafton is going to be looking for ways to cost cost.
Oh, apparently GGG is putting out a patch that improves the atlas UI and also new wished (including ones that give coins directly)
Not yet but hoping to release later this week
Ooh, from where is that news?
Saw it on reddit
🤔 They don't have much time to reach the goal
I see, GGG-tracker channel didn't surface it, just on the website.
Their titles in d2 don't mean so much for players indeed
Yeah, I guess
Tbh I don't use reddit, just saw it being linked on mathil's discord
not sure what you mean?
I mean Hersik maybe right
Yea but what about their titles?
Titles
I'd hardly say those are titles
I should use reputations?
Studio history, credentials, lineage? 😄
Reputation doesn't quite impart the right vibe, feels more about notoriety/infamy - seldom has a positive connotation.
🫡 Big achievements in a young age... We're the same age, it's ridiculous
Lineage sounds the best :)
that's quite bad considering it's the minimum sum. Usually kickstarters have strech goals for X amount over what they ask for
Honestly I just don't think it'll be that good
with all environments destructible and just procedual generation it all
anyone interested in following the Krafton - Subnautica lawsuit...
https://kotaku.com/subnautica-2-ted-gill-unknown-worlds-lawsuit-krafton-2000679131
A lil bit unrelated but the mayor of new york is literally 34 years old
Seeing Darkhaven not reach the kickstarter goal sucks
but the market is tired, low on budget
and seeks stability
This is 0 for 2 in this genre just this year, with Carbon being the other
Also Summit1G is not 26 lol
This bio is 12 years old
Btw has anyone here tried Dragonkin?
I think it's also because people genuinely don't want just "another Diablo 2". PoE1 exists, nevermind even D2R
And the game had demo on steam, I don't think it made people exactly confident in it
Well, none of those are another Diablo 2
That's the sad part
Last Epoch has more Diablo 2 in it than them, and most other current titles imo
on top of that I think Ashes of Creation drama is partially to blame as well
when one of the biggest kickstarter campaigns turned out to be a scam
oof
Every crowdfunded game that fails spectacularly definitely doesnt help
You break trust
But AoC is very different than Carbon or DarkHaven
both of these have very strong, solid demos
and people remember broken campaigns more than successes like idk. DOS2
proof that the people behind them know what they are doing
AoC was... sort of always broken
well yeah, it pretty much was a scam
AoC was a rugpull and I'll die on that hill
I think that if Dark Haven would have come out to Kickstarter about 2 years ago, it would have been fully funded there 4 times over
Maybe 3
Yes, user colors here are all kickstarter fund ranks
I think it was ?
I usually throw money at promising projects, hoping not to see it come back at the end of the KS campeign if the premise is strong
That is the correct take on it
ive jammed a healthy sum at Dark Haven, but it seems like its not going to happen
Now, its not like the game will live or die on 500K USD, you do not fund a game with this pocket change
correct
but if you could, you would than have easier time getting capital, using it as proof of player interest
Exactly my thoughts. I think some of the kickstarter fiascos (AoC being most recent big ones) causing chilling effect is a factor. But at the same time I think the audience for the game is really not there
Some game devs take a different approach, they use their connection, get capital from industry friends
Jeff Kaplan's game is like that
they are making it a relatively featureful alpha, they have Dreamhaven behind them
so the springboard is much larger, straight onto early access
tbf Jeff Kaplan is quite a name as well, it's not random dude
cough Mighty Number 9 fiasco
their demo is already polished to an amazing grade
Kinda related
but I hate how some new games are advertised like "from the studio that made game that was popular ages ago"
but none of the people who worked on that game are there anymore
Good old pirate software classic
TBH veterans of X studio tells me nothing
I've seen the game advertised as such crash and burn so many time I'm not trusting that label unless it was some kind of lead
Yup
Even Mighty Number 9
I don't actually remember who they advertised as the big guy that worked on... megaman?
but didn't it turn out that he wasn't even in a big role for those games or something
And then the "from same studio that made fallout new vegas" (just ignore none of the people who worked on NV are there anymore)
Hilariously enough darkhaven mentions "also hellgate london".
The game that was hyped to be an aRPG from Diablo veterans only to flop incredibly hard
The demo isn't bad
Tbh at least for darkhaven on their site it does actually go more into detail about who worked on it and what games they worked on earlier
I participated from the start and have generally good impressions
Do I think they over rely on d2 nostalgia in marketing? Yes
Good reminder, download that now
Let me know how u liked it plz...wanna give it a shot but at the same time don't wanna add another game to my backlogs
What was Dragonkin again?
some new aRPG, but idk the details other than it just came out
that's good to hear
Ah, I see
arpg
dragonkin looked interesting, I watched aaron play it for like an hour
Tbh I'm not even sure why I'm awake now
it's almost 4am
It launched in a really rough sttate but is suppsoedly much better now
huh, didnt know they added system specs to reviews on steam, cool
🫡 It's a lie
Oh my fault. Fixed
But it still show mouse and keyboard only through I'm using controller
https://www.icy-veins.com/last-epoch/news/krafton-delaware-ruling-earnout-success-risk-last-epoch/
here's the article i just finished on it.
Quite fun... I stay in dragonkin server 1 year and 3 months but just know I can't post pictures...A bit speechless for the moderation
@silent steeple Can you accept long runs between quest locations like long paths and twist alleys in a loot-based ARPG?
Well...these cant be as bad a ds2 run backs so sure I guess
ds2?
Dark souls 2. Arguably worst runbacks between boss and save points 😂
But wait! So these are one time quests or daily/repeatable quests?
It's linear, no run back, just pure long distances
My guessing for the reason of this design in dragonkin is let us kill more enemies but... It's quite boring for me tbh
Out-kayled
only if it will animate a buffed Falconer
Happy to see EHG is hiring for this very important role
Find my memory back now.
How much can you accept repeat enemies and repeat environment decides how long can you go.
I mentioned long paths and twist alleys and I'm not a fan of that before because they're bonus the time I must stay in a biome. Every biome in dragonkin is giant so you must take some time to do long runs, it forced me to play the same content for a long time.
The other shortage overwhelming maps brought is same enemies. They're just spilt to a few squads in regular position and surround you when you pass. There's a dungeon in story which max shortages above.
The dungeon requires you to kill waves of waves enemies in the same dungeon to fill the bar and it will take you 1h or longer to do that, it's where I left dragonkin last time.
Back to pros, I enjoyed the management of hexagonal grids and assign points to different attributes balance my offense and defense.
The most exclusive feature of this game is town upgrades and wrymling. Town upgrades mean each location owns a passive tree to get more bonus to do advanced craftings, get more buff for your pet etc.
Wrymling is your pet, you can select one only but 5 types available. It's as equal as a minion which never die and help your damage anytime.
If you can't accept repeat contents for a long time, dragonkin don't worth to play. I think it's the main reason why this game is unpopular...
I have connected with him
He posted that after the post about "EHG hiring a lead environment artist"
it will take you 1h or longer to do that
An hour long dungeon?
I deal with that 1h and I just reach 45% last time, consider you're more experienced, you can do that faster
Can you save your progress mid way and exit or do you have to do the entire thing in one go?
Oh good call. I'll try that
hmm, Im reading the LE post
I think the new supporter pack skins look better ?
Especially Vanquisher and Legend. Thoughts ?
Thots
Oh the 2nd time took me 9 mins only to fill the bar, good. But the process will not save, I must start from zero again after I come back @silent steeple
They do look better imo, yes
They fixed the dungeon well, cool
Chip 🤘
I just watched the videos (didn't have time yesterday)
They look really good
Big fan of the vanquisher
The eclipse line is my jam
ohh the eclipsed portal looks so good
wraithblade set looks meh, but the portal, roll, footsteps and pet are great
I'm a fan of chip only but it's in legend only so I can give it up only
It's enough to buy a new decent game which close to 3a level on environment art like little nightmares or layers of fear
Later, later, later. Let's see.
Chip is cool, but I don't like the legend tier that much personally
Vanquisher looks like sweet spot for me
What's Chip?
I see
fractured mr hand, or handy
idk how it was called in og english
the hand from Adams Family
Damn I dislike this point so much. Many rare (divine) materials available in certain difficulty only. It mean I can't craft many divine gears & weapons unless I master at dragonkin...
I'm bad at difficulty quite much so I can't enjoy this part :(
I want to replace fire damage with electric damage :(
Quite linear their campaign is. It's follows "some dialogue -> go to a biome -> take a long run to find something and kill enemies which blocks your way (maybe unlock one or two portals plus)-> go back to town -> some dialogue again" cerntainly
As similar as the boring level of campaign in tq 2
That's how most arpg quests are
go there, kill monsters, return for reward
hah... That's too boring. I prefer many small encounters adds in campaign like poe
Deal with quests all the time is easy to feel tired
Yeah see
even in poe the quests are like that
go to location x, kill a bunch of monsters. Sometimes it involves picking up a thing or two and interacting with a door and then when you return to the npc there's a reward
Sure you don't need to do most of the quests
Arpgs revolve around killing monsters after all
This mode require too less power for thinking, which it's sleepy
Figure out why I like endgame only now
Yeah, most of them shine in the end game
Man this POE league has been an absolute blast for me ngl, feels damn good.
I'm probably logging in again after I've finished cooking
I feel that. I've been very happy with Atlas + endgame changes. Obviouslt it has bumps but the foundation this builds at least for me is phenomenal tbh despite the issues I have that are easily solveable
I kinda hate that you need to find eldritch invitations and special maps
and even where to turn in the key for the vault
Yeah for sure, I think that those kinds of maps should just be accesible points that you can start from if you get the Unique drop and work your way outwards or something tbh
Also do unique maps have craft recipes in them?
Like if it's an accessibility point sure, but if I find a Unique map just let me start there and work backwards if I want
Yeah the "OG" maps still have like Multimod etc.

Nothing in Grandhamsters, right?
I broke to t14 maps yesterday
first one I corrupted went t15 with no mana regen, health or es regen
And I can't exactly do that as manaman
Damn they really went and downgraded the graphics huh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ60vkCH-o4
Also digital foundry getting hated on. I know people may have disagreed with them before but damn I think this is the first time they got hit bad
Holy shit I hate Silence
Really shouldn't even run the ghost ritual because it feels like there's always silence
all day every day
That's 2 tier 15s with can't regen life, mana or es
Also I'm kinda starting to feel like time for reroll
But no idea what I'd even roll
don't have that high amount of currency
Man get off of me yuumi wtf let me draw something
Blurry as hell and solution ? make it fake..
This is just sad not lazy, sad.. That somebody try sells it as "graphic output" and mostly as future standard..
nah, it will be blurry as hell as well as looking like AI slop 🤣
I can spare you some reds (T14-16s easy) if you need em.
I am on my way rolling a new character
Lmao fair
Poison holy relic this time
I'm hoping I had some sales while I was asleep and can just go buy MB when I get up
Oh real, that's a good build
Got some of the gear ready for it
no svalinn though
I could sell my manaman gear I guess
But I'll first get this to maps and then see
Got to sleep soon though and tomorrow it's time for doctor visit
Is Svalinn giga expensive again? Also good luck with doc tomorrow
No idea
And honestly it's just regular diabetes checkup so he's gonna complain about some things with the glucose and check on some things
70d+ so, pretty expensive
I think my father deals with those kinds of appointments now
Yeah 70d is way too much for me
Tbh I'm more worried about the eye doctor visit later this month
because then he'll decide if my left eye needs to be poked with a needle
Eh? Why are they poking your eyes with needles?
Because diabetes can cause things you don't want in your eye
that if it spreads it'll cause glaucoma
Oh. I did not know that
Can also cause more veins growing in your eyes and you don't want that either and that gets treated with laser
Honestly the idea of getting needles anywhere near my eyes is terrifying
And apparently even the laser will be painful for some days after it
Yeah no that makes sense. Sheesh. I do not envy you, mate
At least I'll get it for a reasonable price
Anyway, got to act 3
guess I should get some sleep and then grind more tomorrow morning before the doc visit
Get to see the new hospital for first time
Ah yeah, can get my MB now

^ Quite a few changes in the coming patch, it seems 😄
Yeah, I paid extra to get the foil I like.
as always
the colors are amazin , just saying
Always gotta get the purple-y one, it's law
Sweet
Lost shipment things can be opened with dmg
Just earlier had a map with 2
Anyway, back to bed
Woke up to some truck sounds 😴
yep defenetly no sleeping shedule messed here 1 am and having dinner 🙂
i blmae the weather this 2 weeks xdd
lol moon beast game know darkhaven maybe can't reach the goal too so they posted an announcement to encourage people support this game
🤔 Which new games will be revealed on that by sharing trailers and maybe dev stories plus on pax?
Hope they have great fun.
That's very close for Americans or Canadians
I can join in Weplay expo only (Last year is Nov. 21-22th, not sure this year)
My lord... The exhibition hall of pax 2025 is giant
is there a brown one
that’s not close at all to the majority of americans and canadians
i think you forget it can take weeks to travel across america or canada by car
That's like, a 8 to 12 hour drive for us lol
Nice
Got a divine drop from random cocoon in belly of the beast
Also I had completely forgotten that holy relic of conviction allows you to have 2 of them out by default
had been running with only 1 for a while
soon getting 3rd one
The new hospital in the city has pretty confusing layout
This Masayoshi Takanaka rendition of the Balatro OST is one of the reasons is choose to get up in the morning, guys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tksJbDi38tQ
Its so peak, and moddable into the game
Finally done with clad
gg
Anyway that was a struggle
I'll be there with you in April or so once I'm done with the current league.
Take your time 🤣
Finally got to 100% poison chance on the holy relic
Guys, is there any rpg were there is no shit going on and there is no invasion whatsoever and were there is no war cause it was after a great war and everyone is recuperating and building up stuff and your character just put shit on fire and bring the war earlier than expected?
Honestly none come to my mind right now
Real life
But not my char for sure 🤣
Didn't know real life was an rpg
I know but it's the closest I could think of regarding the scenario they gave lol
Cultist Simulator, Book of Hours, Blue Prince, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Metro, No Man's Sky, Red Dead Redemption, Roadwarden, Sunless Sea and Everhood all follow this or a similar plot line.
To varying degrees of "RPG," though.
I would say the closest to following that one for one is Blue Prince, Sunless Sea and Everhood.
@twilit mountain does that seem about right for the ones I listed?
You know like, way more on all of these than I do
i also meant like. any you can think of
Oh dude I have no idea lmao
Disnohored is in lore where wars and pleagues doom of countries are daily bread
Metro - literally after atomic apocalypse
does Disco Elysium count ? 🤔
No, the conflict is still ongoing
That's... Exactly why they fit
In Dishonored Death of the Outsider specifically, the one I specified, the countries have generally come closer to peace. There is no immediate major conflict happening, but you play as Billie, ||who goes on to cause conflict by seperating the immediate link between the material plane and the Void, who is the Outsider.||
In Metro, the war has already happened, and the tunnels are going closer to peace but thanks to the actions of Artyom he inflames things again by uncovering hidden secrets.
I think Silent might be my new fav
Unrelated to what was asked and I forget the lore but wasn't there an active revolution going on in this universe?
Yeah lol
I never got to finish that game
The setting is still mid revolution when Disco Elysium takes place
it was a failed revolution iirc
Technically
devs even described it as post apocalypse
but not the traditional end of the world we think of
It’s not over though
Disco Elysium is based entirely on post-soviet industrialist nations
yeah, it has remnants of it
No, it’s actively continuing
well yeah, devs being Estonian likely have something to do with it
The game takes place mid revolution
Your character is implied to join it, too
Blue Prince is by far the closest match
Story spoilers: ||You play as Simon, heir of Mount Holly, a large estate left by your family Sinclair to you. It’s a massive puzzle manor where you will be gifted the inheritance after finding the secret 46th room, though it quickly becomes apparent there are deeper secrets in Mount Holly. The country you live in was recently taken over by the — using shortened names for simplicity sake — Red Realm, and it becomes clear early on that Mount Holly is directly tied to pieces of a political revolution of the Blue Realm, the color of your realm before the take over. As you play Simon, you slowly learn that you’re the true heir of the Blue Realm, and you take your place as the Blue Prince of Mount Holly and essentially begin a political revolution.||
ye, I have not finished Blue Prince but seen enough to agree
The hideout underground fits that bill
Most people playing Blue Prince are still playing Blue Prince
I am still playing Blue Prince because I am not smart enough to solve it
AFAIK there are still undiscovered secrets in it
(Correct)
does not help that blue prince scales up exponentially in difficulty
reaching room 46 is basically a tutorial
The difficulty of the game gets easier and easier, the difficulty of the puzzles gets extremely hard
(Clarifying for anyone unfamiliar with the game)
yup
although some puzzles were a bit too annoying for my taste
I'm looking at you chess puzzle
i actually rly liked that one
that one felt very intuitive
the castling puzzle is a little obscure tho
i got spoiled on that one but the fact that blue tent memos are the only hints is a little rough
the issue I had was, actually chess was not even that bad. Mandela effect, because it was in the room with chessboard
the god damn painting on other hand
I just hate noting down the entire mansion. I've realised what has to be done and googled the solution
Because I'm definitely not doing extra say 10 runs just to note down what paintings are in each room or what chess figures are there xD
mm
also the electricity "puzzle" is kind of annoying
I wish the game had more connector rooms
mm
A wild cat rekt him 🫡
Rest in peace, unnamed chicken
yo what did the fox say ? xdd
created a not-too-expensive levelling tree on atlas, since my regular farming strats are a bit rippy
pretty good for 1 single map (+ its mirage) I'd say
Meanwhile I got bored and rolled a new character to pass time until I buy Marathon and sell my soul to my new overlords (Bungie's PvP team) in return for adrenaline straight into my veins
I'm still far from bored
Too many new farms to try
And this build is fun to try and minmax
Not sure if I can reasonably push it beyond 80m dps but let's see
My drive for PoE was already rather low tbf, and I've spent the past two weeks staring at Marathon footage like a heroin addict lol
I've played other extraction shooters; hell I have the $120 version of Tarkov lmao. Marathon is exactly what I have wanted from the genre, and to top it off it's made by the company that made my favorite first person shooter and has made, in my opinion, the best gunplay in the entire genre in history.
The hate for Marathon is probably the most forced/manufactured hate I have ever seen. This game has the fkin sauce and you can tell just off of watching it for a few minutes.
gull + blunderbore + screams of the dessicated = big
Beeg man
You're huge
I think it's partially because of how they treated (from the fans perspective) destiny 2
And the other reason is that unfortunately shooter games get compared to concord nowadays
I for one have no interest in pretty much any shooter game so I won't just blatantly hate on it for no reason
we're both destiny 2 fans
yup.
This and art direction. Marathon looks unique, but the style is definitely not for everyone.
Some or many fans then. I didn't mean to assume all fans lol
Most Destiny fans are dealing with 8+ years of burn out that they won't address for themselves. The majority of the player base has been maining that game for several years and has played it to the point that they genuinely can't have fun in it anymore due to treating it like another job. I don't take them seriously on account of this.
When it comes down to it, Bungie has a very good track record with the game that gets overshadowed by people with insane expectations or simply too much investment into it. They've had far more hits, both in content quality and narrative quality, than they have misses.
They get a lot of flak for vaulting some (extremely old) content, but the unfortunate reality is that it was necessary. Those pieces of content were holding the game back in a myriad of ways, not the least of which is that they were made on a now extremely outdated version of the engine and they straight up would not function if they tried to just put them back in as-is. Not getting into how much file bloat that would cause on a game that already takes up a crazy amount of storage (wild what several years of dense content updates does to a game's size).
while I get it from technical standpoint, considering it was paid content that cannot be accessed anymore leaves bad aftertaste in my mouth
Happens all the time, frankly. I don't know why D2 is the time it was singled out.
That can't be happening that often unless we count games going out of service
Almost every MMO on the market has paid content that is now inaccessible
AH. I was more of a FFXIV guy
That one will eventually if it continues at the pace it is at. Remember, it's still young for an MMO.
echhh 13 years old is not that young anymore
But on the other hand there are no young mmo anymore really
Maybe young isn't the most accurate term, I wasn't sure how to put forth "it hasn't had as many updates to it in its lifespan" in a single word. 13 years and... what, 5 expansions I think? Quality wise I'm sure it's great, but it is definitely in the less regular side of things
WOW has been out for 22 years and has 10 expansions, so they have nearly the same average for expansions/time.
.. almost every MMO on the market has paid content that is now inaccessible..? The only other example I'm aware of is guild wars 2 with season 1, but they ended up rebuilding that and re-adding it.
Well in WoW you cannot quite experience the old content as it was unless it's on timewalking
if anything I'm pretty sure that's an extremely unusual practice in the MMO space, particularly with something as important as the beginning of the story, which IIRC literally doesn't exist in Destiny 2 now
some other games change old content sure, but removing content people explicitly paid for.. eh
And some content is pretty much dead, accessible but not really there anymore
apparently Aion did something similar (deleting entire continents) but that was never something people paid for
and they ended up launching Aion Classic anyway, for people that hated the change
I think part of it is Destiny's monetisation as well
It's definitely "more aggressive" for the lack of better words
At least I've never run into another game that confused me with purchasing expansions.
IMO timewalking + wow classic existing largely negates this
and even without those they've done a pretty good job of keeping absolutely ancient content around
wow classic definitely alleviates a lot of it
Destiny 2 onboarding was super bad when we tried in coop
That intro thing made no sense with the new player exp rework
Getting those ironclad clards was pretty good but what sealed the deal was the gambit
I should not have tried Tainted Grail
now I want to buy the boardgame
which is a problem, because that also means I would love to paint the minis x'D
I tried their roguelike a few years ago but it wasn't my style
tbf Fall of Avalon is a different game
it's basically
well it's inspired by Oblivion, and it's clearly was what I've expected of Avowed
Oh I'm aware
mini painting is fun
I only discovered how fun it is on Sunday
I found sets for preparing the bases.
Terrain paint, shaders, oilbrush paint, pigment and all that stuff
they had a video showcasing it aaaaand I instantly bought it
because those bases are gorgeous, and I'm struggling with desert bases
I'm not into painting but I'd love StS boardgame minis
The ones that come in the boardgame are kinda meh
lol
yeah, but most minis are kind of meh
I've read some threads with people talking about mini qualities, and usually one of the best ones are in GW games. I think there is a point where the details are really good, but the process itself is difficult and expensive
wow those bases are awesome
Not me purchasing TTRPGs because of the miniatures that I see
Resin printing does well but I don't think as well as manufactured ones from gw
And resin in itself is a downside. It's not exactly pleasant to work with material
yup hated my resin printer
everyone lies how easy it is and how you need no protection
jesus
time to figure out what else I'm gonna do this league, now that this guy is done: https://pobb.in/5OdpEdWww8hz
my feed is filled with afroman now, the news coverage and the songs really made my day
I'm legit enjoying silent so much right now
That might change in higher ascs though but we'll see
Kinda liking the steam spring sale banner
I was so hyped when I saw March and then it said 2027 lolhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grHES702_8o
Marathon is now installing. Goodbye my soul.
remind me what marathon is?
Sci-fi extraction shooter made by Bungie. Originally a narrative-driven first person shooter that revolutionized the first person genre by being the first game to have proper 3 dimensional maps and the ability to look in every direction. Think Half-Life before Half-Life.
run…
Risk of Rain 3
So what did u guys get or are planning to get on steam's spring sale
Probably nothing as is my usual these days
same
I'm excited about the new LE season, but the supporter packs just don't vibe.
LE and shitty mtx, name a more iconic duo
ngl, real.
Like I actually want to spend money on this game...there's just nothing I want to spend money on.
primal set was awesome.
And whoever was behind that needs to be the lead artist
but some of the staff the other day were talking about their dev process and how it takes months to make a mtx set.
and they use fully rendered illustrations as concept art.
it's crazy
not shocking, pretty obvious their workflow across the board is the epitome of inefficiency
They what
That doesn't sound efficient
i’m glad my four years of criticizing ehg is slowly getting proven right
Like concept art shouldn't need to be fully rendered
I bought 2 packs and have all my points still I just don't like anything in the shop
Capy pet was cool though
A while ago I tried to look at the store & see if there's some good wand ones
but no
Or more like no wand ones at all
not just lacking the good ones
I actively wanted to support the game as the prices for packs were fine compared to Poe but it seems moot if I don't even use that stuff neither use coins
Yeah, that's completely fair
Tbh I'm kinda tempted to get the $10 supporter pack for the wrestler red panda
Yeah Its just sad there's nothing non over the top wow like looking in the store. I like the more muted realistic stuff in games not the angel wings that blast your eyes etc
I get that
Something that fits the game world
Also
Noticed a significant drop in the personal blog posting here in offtopic
praise be
my approach was the same but I genuinely regret it
not just for my own issues with the game but also due to the fact that the product I received for the money was just shit
Yeah I won't buy more either
It was fine for a bit but currently I don't have the feeling I want to support the game
Similar feelings for poe1 too
I don't regret the money I spent on LE
Tbh I didn't really buy the expensive packs apart from ultimate edition
The only game that I do actually regret buying is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Kirra left huh
Yup
She did it as a protest for them not giving colored roles to "early players"
But it really came off as her throwing a tantrum about not getting special treatment
Hmm.. ok
While I could also see the other half of the coin, in a sense, I was not around, can't say anything concrete about that.
She did send me a private message about it and said "My primary goal was to advocate for myself and my value so staying in a situation where I feel my contributions are consistently overlooked can lead to resentment. Time to stop that to grow."
Well honestly, i dont really feel anything for epoch anymore
Maybe it came off as an overreaction, most likely when one feels... strongly. humans be humans, yo, as it were.
Her contributions were fanart mostly
And using the server as personal blog
I see
excogitation be a nasty thing to handle properly :p
I'm looking forward to the new season tbh
Anyway
Ever since the annoucement of orobyss expansion and the paradox classes, i lost the interest
I should get some more sleep really
So I think I'll go and do that
💀
That's fair
Also.. killing abby at 160+ corruption with a friend during the beast patch kinda make me realized what Deias and Dream Hollow said was true
There is nth "new" to the game after playing 3 seasons
Well it's not like they're just going to reinvent the whole end game
but we are at least getting a new pinnacle boss this season
Really? Damn! Im gonna miss her random posts
Also thats one person i'd never have guessed would leave this server
Damn I was wondering why it felt kinda quiet lol. I missed out on the drama
Wicked!!
Vladddddddddd
Vlad still going stronk with LE eh?
Hype as always
I dont think it was public, probably a silent protest
My one gripe with gripes in general is the target of gripes as I see them (on a case-to-case basis).
Ooo.. sadly i dont share the same feeling. My perception had changed
We all have our own selves with all that entails. Vlad may be mega-hype for LE, I am intrigued enough to hop in, you may be disinterested... do be how it is.
I do feel kind of funny to be called a EHG bootlicker at times. Having only been a part of this server to see the news posts as they come in from the source and only really becoming present what...2 weeks ago tops? The notion that we can form our own judgement being foreign to some of us is strange to me... (Not that I'm not still struggling to understand the judgements of others, but I'm not about to become hostile about it).
Where Winds Meet still
Is that the "mmo" souls like thingy?
I haven't heard anything good about crimson desert so far
My friend started the game, played for 2 hours and quit saying he'll play it on weekend 😂
It does look great tho
Isn't she literally not an early player? Like, I am 90% sure she was a 1.0 joiner
Yup
She also argued with Kain that picking the "role" in channels&roles should give you a color
and then was like "I don't understand why they can't give colors"
When they explained it multiple times that they're for kickstarter supporters and it wouldn't be fair for them
she did have a point, in that "discord name colors" were never actually part of the kickstarter campaign, and they totally could use gradients or whatever else, they just don't want to
I'm surprised she took offense enough to leave the server over it though
Sure they weren't in the kickstarter campaign
I don't think they need to be
Yea I've been in quite a few discord servers where the colours match the KS ranks on discord
Sea of Stars to name one
speaking of supporter ranks, I just noticed something horrible: I think the orobyss supporter rank has 2 spaces between orobyss and supporter instead of 1 (this is mostly a joke)
I'm fairly certain discord roles were part of the KS campaign, the colors just kinda go hand in hand
they weren't, I checked yesterday and someone from EHG confirmed
forum titles were part of the campaign
Oh right it's the uh, private server that was in there at a certain rank
It's not out of this world to consider. Colours are very much a role-based assignment on discord's functionality part. Now, a distinction of colours is necessary for roles and as a baseline, outside of memorizing the two notable colors of yellow (and shades of it) are staff and purple are moderators, I personally don't care. I've also seen some early purchase rewards become accessible to everyone else, which massively detracted the value of a cosmetic thingy that was supposed to reward me for buying in early.
Kickstarter is different in that one did not just pre-purchase or buy a game pre-1.0, in general. Kickstarter is a means to support a title beyond the simple purchase, from back when the title may not have even been financially viable to get to public release in the first place. Or support to budget even more features in the planned content for release.
Even if I personally started hiding badges relating to my monetary contributions for this or that title, and don't go out bragging that I kickstarted two titles of this one franchise that blew up big time more recently, back when I had some actual disposable income and fewer medical bills... Can't go out bashing some organization structure on a gut feeling...
That said, it's not out of this world to consider, but also, maybe... not considerate of the meaning behind the current structure?
Uh very interesting choice of using colour twice lol
Thank you, non native speaker with exposure to both us and british English.
It's all good I just found it funny
Happens all too often. I tend to be more focused on trying to be precise to my meaning than form of words and... excuse me while I find my breeches and pants.
I'm Canadian and a native English speaker; I switch between American and British English pretty much randomly based on vibes. Sometimes you just feel like adding an extra 'u' to spice things up.
Well, typically you want to be consistent. But gets tough when you kind of float both versions in your head.
in professional writing absolutely, there's way too much variance in casual text conversations to really care though
It got pointed out to me, so I adjusted accordingly.
Where are you from, if I may ask?
The worst place to be that is still in the EU. take a wild guess :p
sometimes my autocorrect decides I need an extra 'u' or the opposite and I mostly just shrug in response
worst place still technically in the EU.. Hungary?
Even worse
No idea really
Hot take: Hungary has a good chance of voting themselves back into reasonable land. We get to vote whatever to be crushed by neo-communism within the fabric of the state AND society.
Belarus?
that's not EU
Poland? Romania?
you went above your allotted 1 guess, but it's the latter.
Romania was my next guess after Hungary
Yes, Vlad, EU is the European Union. Not the whole continent.
Yeah, I know
Somehow I thought they were part of it
Ah. Then that's the hottest take off the sun :p (or rather of the degree of sun surface temperatures)
Belarus, famously aligned with EU interests
The citizenry? May actually be. The state? were they not a satellite state?
it's an authoritarian dictatorship aligned with Russia
Indeed, but I'd not dare call them a soverign country when the state calls in russian military to deal with its own dissent.
hmm, apparently I can't even mention that name here
blocked by the server entirely lmao
It's ok, this is as far I care to delve into it.
It's not like I don't get kind of a 2nd row seat to the going ons in the region.
dark times
She is an artist, so maybe colours mean more for her.
She want special treatments here means she don't feel safe all the time imo
To be perfectly honest: The safest places on the internet are not what I'd call that safe.
Can't expect special treatment tbh
Can expect special treatment to special treatment requests, though. (And none positive)
😭 Kirra left. I hope she can grow and come back one day. All the best to her and you guys.
Also Chuck norris died. What's going on with this world
People getting old
Good point
I feel bad, Kirra was nice and in the last few weeks alot of people here were giving her shit.
kinda weird to leave over colors though but hope she's aight.
Haven't kept up with LE season updates, dunno if I'll have the time to play but hopefully it's good. I hate to have to say that I haven't seen any appealing cosmetics yet, though
The patch looks promising, I'm only slightly mad that EHG managed to funnel me into playing Rogue for yet another season
personally I really like fractured vanquisher
New pinnacle that will be beaten in like 2 hours lol
I don't blame ehg though
Even poe is the same I think
So many nerfs but some of them are deserved
