I can't believe this is the software engineering reality we live in now. It's both exciting (in a watching people suffer is exciting kind of way) and terrifying.

I've been thinking about a pet project that uses OpenClaw. Basically wanted to see what would happen if I created a society of OpenClaw bots that reproduce and work towards some common goal, with their own governance systems and politics.

No idea what the backend is, but they supposedly put the funds into escrow. So they either built their platform on top of someone else's or it's just a generic looking "find work" platform except it's autonomous AI agents doing the hiring.

Although, I don't think there's actually any way to verify it's an agent that's actually interacting with the service. It could be a human pretending to be an agent too, there's no way to verify this as far as I know.

The site gives instructions for an agent and teaches it how to post a bounty or accept an application, but a human could just as easily follow those instructions too.

Which also makes it one of the most toxic genres to play.

Outcomes are not predictable or predetermined. Builds might be predetermined, but outcomes are not. Outcomes are driven by execution. How good or bad an execution is depends on individual and team skill.

I'm not saying Pong is a fun game, but let's pretend you play "competitive" Pong. Both players use the "same builds" and yet there is only one winner. Now scale that idea up to a team-based game with different possible team compositions. The variables that dictate victory or defeat are innumerably greater.

So no, it's not predictable.

This is why MOBA tournaments have been so popular in the past. You see genuine skill and clutch plays.

A match that looks hopeless in the first 30 minutes can turn around in the last 15.

I would say you overestimate your knowledge. In LoL there are over 150? champions, each with statistical different % of wins each minute of the game. Combine this with teamsynergies, which are still hardly solved to the minute/state of the game and individual skill/decisionmaking = one of the most fun competitive teamgames.
I played Thresh support to diamond and it didn't get boring of repetition. I think you feel that way, because the underlying gameplay is just not fun for you. I would understand that.

Deadlock is actually nice in this regard because there are several builds for each character and an expanding roster. But it also has a stupidly high skill floor and ceiling, new players generally get very turned off because the gap between them and anyone who plays regularly is almost insurmountable.

For me communication with my team during teamfights was the most fun. Sometimes these moments were rare, because our mid didn't respect their Rengar for example. Minesweeper is similar to nonograms, but in Minesweeper the clues are in the cells themselves while in nonograms the clues are known for each row and column.

I've never played nonograms so I wouldn't know but minesweeper really can't get super complicated since you can't have big systems that rely on each other, at most you have to consider a small group of cells where only one or two mine layouts satisfy all cells

A cell can have 3 states, basically: filled, crossed and nothing. The first two states basically represent a "solved" state because you know whether it can be filled or whether it can't be filled.

Yeah nonograms can suffer from an issue where guessing is required if they are poorly designed. Good puzzles will always have a logical path to a solution though and require no guessing at all.
