:)
You might, from me
I got it for free from a friend, I keep hearing good things
Not my type of game but multiversus character design is so good.
I like tom and jerry animation design
Dont let the mactera get you
I am honestly a bit afraid of the game cause it looks like what a AAA studio would make, content wise, but then forget to monetize it
FYI Grim Dawn devs have put Farthest Frontier up in EA... https://www.farthestfrontier.com/ Its not an arpg, more like a city builder Banished kind of game...
Not enough interest for me but maybe with some mods in the future and a cheaper price I might check it out
I've seen some gameplay of it though
I find those kinds of games to be very relaxing... but I prefer not to jump on EA this early - even if its Crate...
There are some bad reviews
But I prefer planet coaster type of games (yes I know roller coaster tycoon 2 exists but PC is better)
RailRoad Tycoon used to be my guilty pleasure...
I'm not going to play farthest frontier because it's single player. I tend to stay away from those games
I think it looks fun though
What mp would add to a city builder?
And how would you implement it?
kingdoms reborn did it fine as did anno. there are several ways of doing it, but i just dont like playing games alone
just a me thing
I'd buy anything Crate puts out.
Track record is too good.
Well, CDprojekt had good track record, look where they ended up
survival city builder looks promising though
it seems to be early access on steam
Remind me of uber entertainment, they had a pretty good online game that they just half ignore to push out other games that did really bad sale wise.
They made super monday night combat and honestly it felt closer to tf2 than overwatch (not being too relaint on your team)
I have gift beta keys to super monday night combat that I'm unable to get rid of because the game no long exists...
I probably have 2k hours on it
I love crate but i don't like city builders
Since caesar 3 in the 90s
It's a genre i find boring
Factorio (similar kind of factory/survival/builder game) has multiplayer - for someone who isnt interested in MP, it actually worked out quite well playing co-op with like minded friends. So I can see the appeal of MP in a city builder, I just dont personally like multiplayer in general...
Idk the genre as i stated above, i was just struggling to figure out
@shy orchid so to confirm, when multiplayer releases next patch, i shouldnt hit you up?
sure..... go ahead...... fumbles quickly through the discord blocking settings.... ๐คช
I should try a factorio challenge where I dont use trains for cheesing a mega base.
Belt only mega base.
2 tps base
thats the only way... lol... belts 'n bots for the win....
I guess the hardest part is figuring out how to deal with the logistic of belts and makes it expandable.
Trains is pretty easy on that but not belt.
๐ค
A bus will choke itself fairly quick. I could have a mega bus belt that split into regular bus.
In a perfect world (without trains), the mega belt concept is the way to go... but it can be hard later in the game due to space and planning as you go.... I have ended up creating temporary base(s) to level up/research etc, then when ready, I create the mega belt and base separately to get by the spaghetti factory of trying to expand a smaller setup... Completed the game twice using this approach, takes longer but runs really smoothly... and then of course Robots are a joy to watch swarm around and pick up the slack everywhere....
I remember someone doing a train only transportation, cargo is pretty opie for local transfer
Train only meaning no belts or bots
Dumb idea: square bus. Have a big square shape bus that allows furnace to throw plates at the bus at any point. This will solve the resource choking issue and if I need more, make another square bus.
The center is where resource will get processed
@gloomy vault I'd argue D3 doesnt have many combinations. the addition of legacy of dreams helped, but not many builds make it to the top. 2-3 tops for each class
@torpid musk
D3 is just get the strongest current set with all required uniques and farm for better versions of it. There is no deep character progression (paragon is bland) and hardly any custom builds. its fun for a week but after that i cant stomach to play it anymore
That's true, it's why I'd like a game similar, but without all the sets.
Less sets, more immersion, more tweaks so weird talents are seen more
oh, i missed that part
mb
D3's sets are too powerful for typical builds to be powerful, yers. on the other hand, if the sets were removed right now, you'd just drop how high players are currently pushing
maybe down to 120
actually, legacy exists...
145?
legacy is now mandatory though...
I think if they added max hp damage somewhere that it might help move things along a bit.
But they'd likely have to remove sets, add new abilities, and add stuff that allows different abilities to work with each other.
Like for example if multishot were to be used after strafe, lightning might fall and deal massive damage or something
at the high level of greater rifts, its not surviving that is inhibiting pushing, but the timer. people aren't killing mobs fast enough, so I dont see adding health being too useful. the combinations would, but then you can't really play solo anymore
Max health damage...
You'd basically get confirmed kills with lots of hits, so you can specialise with doing as many hits per second as possible.
No problem ;p
the only issue with that approach is at higher levels of GR, any ability that doesnt deal % max hp is bad and any build that doesnt have a high rate of attack is bad. you go back tot he problem of limited builds.
That's where you put it as a limited affix, maybe mainly on rings.
As for attackspeed, some abilities just have lots higher attack speed than others, you don't need to boost those, and the ones that need it you can just up them. It's like a bridge.
Strafe for example, although it does scale with AS, it already attacks a lot.
Bad abilities you just up the attackspeed and now they can somewhat compete with other abilities. It doesn't fix the problem but it's a decent bandaid
Heh Unrailed! Is pretty fun/hectic co-op
@potent dew
Hunt Showdown is really awesome, anyone else play?
I wanted to but the problem is that it's Vermintide levels of punishing and with randoms, eveyrthing falls apart
DRG solves so many of the problems that randoms create that I won't bother going to any other coop game, for a long long time
I haven't had any problems with randoms, but you can play solo too
No idea about Hunt Showdown but Vermintide tainted coop games for a good long while for me
friendly fire in that game combined with the amount of awareness I need to have makes for a very bad time
friendly fire is pretty normal for FPS games outside of CoD
not the way Vermintide is doing it
Vermintide's friendly fire was awesome
if it's normal for teammates to be as much of a threat to you as the enemies, then I'm in the wrong genre
except, as Deep Rock Galactic shows, there is a right way to do friendly fire
My mates used to play SWTOR & there was one rule in raiding. Never go AFK. They will kill you.
and especially never go AFK in Dread Fortress, they'll punt you into the explosive robots.
The other rule (for healers) was "big heals on Llama".
I didn't know getting an anal rupture from going to the toilet for number 2 and doing it too fast was a perquisite for playing with squads online
some things like doorbells, visits, food and nature come calling regardless of time
as for healing, I like being a medic in these types of games so killing me is a bad idea for EVERYONE
Given Vermintide 2 (the only one I played) had hordes of rats/etc appear if you took too long, going AFK in that game wasn't something you'd want to do anyway.
regardless
I never thought of gaming as serious enough for me to have to say to my friends 'if you afk, we'll kill you', that's new for me
It wasn't "serious", they'd res you afterwards, they just enjoyed killing each other. Especially if they could friendly-pull you into some #### on the floor & get you killed.
i say it as a joke to my friends while gaming all the time
or drag some mobs to you & then drop aggro
@gentle harness exactly that
V2 FF is not that bad: no FF on melee, range has FF but not something you can spam all the time, no FF at all in the first difficulties, then FF starts with 10% of damage then increase slowly with difficulties (once you have learned to play a bit and don't take as much "normal" damage)
@gentle harness you didnt truely enjoy a co-op halo campaign with friends unless you were trying to kill each other the entire time
The amount of intentional friendly fire plasma grenades purely because they stick
And my mates complaining about being shot in the back 'cause they ran past me while I was firing. "Friendly fire has right of way"
mine went similar... except i headshot them on purpose
HONESTLY
its not my fault
they showed their back to me
its like begging for it
"please kill me now"
I missed out on halo and I'm glad that I did
You didn't, it was always a terrible game.
Allies showing their backs to you is always a reason to friendly fire for shits n giggles
Especially in a game where melees kill in 2-3 hits, but back hits are an instant kill that also applies to teammates
How can you not
most fun I had in a game with things like this was in killing floor 2: you wait for someone to take a step too much, you close the door behind them and weld it shut
One time I was playing Fuze in R6S and lit up a room where the last enemy was in at the same time my whole team ran in. Everyone died.
Fuze and Kapkan are the best operators and you cannot change my mind.
Making Kapkan's traps way too visible is dumb. I like how in Hunt Showdown the traps aren't exactly hidden but incredibly hard to see because the lighting is so good. Unfortunately friendly fire means your own team will hit your traps all the time too lol
Yeah but what's funnier than putting all of his traps on one door and waiting for the least suspecting player to walk into it?
If you didnt c4 a scout then you are not a real drg player.
Does nuking them count?
Obviously with bonus points for getting them killed by a golden detonator mob as they try to use their travel ability to get out.
I got big boy as scout before when I tried to zipline into a mactera to power axe. (Faster than reloading)
guys what happened on POE they are all pissed but I couldn't figure out why!
Alright time to mute this channel too before it devolves into constant bashing
@untold crow Continuing from #๐จโask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs : is this -#๐จโask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs message - from Magicka? Or some other game?
It's from Gunfire Reborn
Very good roguelite shooter
I see. Might take a look at it later then. ๐
Do you think that GW2's combo field system could work in LE?
Although I totally spaced on GW2 having a combo system, I was trying to find a good image of mass effect's system, but couldn't find one. This GW2 one is nice though http://coqamok.weebly.com/uploads/2/1/0/2/21026610/6803350_orig.png
There's no more Retaliation, btw.
It's been replaced by Resolution which dampens damaging conditions on players while it's up.
Ah, I haven't played since uh... Path of Fire
As for if it would work? Not really... GW2 was designed ground up for that, and for cooperation
Makes sense, I guess.
I could see something like Runemaster having a system that integrated with other classes like that with their specific skills, but not a system that covered every class
About that sort of interaction I mentioned... That kinda popped up in my head at random.
Just now, I tried imagining Puncture causing a massive stutter by igniting a pack on its own and sending the flood of sparks flying around xD
...Probably not a good idea after all. ๐
I can tell that a piercing fireball is only gonna make it exponentially worse...
If you lose a bunch of FPS by doing something awesome, that's just the game working as intended
I mean, Twisted Mire (a zone in LE) already throws my FPS all the way down to whopping 7... ๐
So much for a 10+yo laptop.
I threw down the gauntlet and bought Loot River. Killsquad is next! xD
Btw, if anybody plays Hero Siege, lemme know.
Unfortunately I uninstalled it as I found it a little too boring. HS I mean.
Hero Siege is the only game i've ever dropped a negative review on
Horrible ass game
and i dropped 60 hours into it too
Literally any other arpg you can get loot pretty on that can change up a build or help define it
You dont see stuff like that till very very late into the game
Its got like what 20 seasons or something? And they havent bothered adding anything unique like other arpgs
It feels more basic than old diablo
The satanic gear that never dropped cuz I couldn't be bothered to past normal difficulty cuz going through the same acts was so boring?
I can do the same almost comfortably in GD but not in HS
Theres like 10 quality tiers to gear and you dont get anything build defining that can change the way skills work or add extra modifiers till like the 8th or 9th tier
And i had gotten to like the 5th or 6th tier 60 hours in
In my review i recommended people play Chronicon instead
Literally any other arpg is better than hero siege
Mobile arpgs are better than hero siege
I have so far recommended The Slormancer to my friends who are interested in arpgs (they've already played GD/PoE/D2/D3)
Slormancer was honestly decent
And has elements/gear that changes up how abilities work
I can 2nd this its pretty fun especially for a arpg made by a tiny team (2 people iirc?)
Yea
Hero surge kind of got worse after the start.
The ui feels worse, the starting location as well, it feels more streamlined, but characters just feel weaker.
Siege *
I'll bite into it once it's out of EA
I freaking hate myself. There's a Mafia giveaway on Steam, and I can't redeem it because I live in a literal concentrational camp that Steam has shadow-banned as a collateral.
went down a rabbit warren... saw something on GGG corporate website - they are looking for mobile game programmer and mobile UI dev... wouldnt it be funny if PoE2 has a D:I money grabbing mobile component... honestly wouldnt put it past GGG all things considered...
they announced a mobile game a long time ago
ah... havent cared enough to notice... just found myself on their site and wondered...
its quite interesting - I left PoE long ago after a good few k hours of play - but way before all the crap that exists now... and I have zero interest in anything GGG or PoE anymore... which is odd, because GD i dont want to play anymore but I am still interested what Crate is developing and will probably buy their next game...
isnt their next game already out
I wishlisted it but idk, price is on the upper end for an indie and the reviews are middling
Farthest Frontier (the new game from Crate) is shaping up to be an excellent game, as expected. Most of the bad reviews Iโve seen are from people who donโt realize that Crate is using EA as intended and are fixing bugs rather quickly. It is beta. There are bugs. Plenty of them. But itโs quite enjoyable already.
I won't buy FF even though it's from crate as its simply not my kinda game but we'll see about their next game. If good I'll quite probably buy it.
Y i never liked city builders
hunt showdown on sale if you like shooters
Gloomwood in Early Access if anyone likes Thief... With guns!
Thieving with guns you say? So I can steal everything that's not nailed down then shot people in the face?
Tried to post a funny quote I found on one of the reviews of Gloomwood but it wont make it through the censorship here... worth a giggle if you find it on Steam... Odd looking game, reminds me of the old school 3d graphics from a decade or two ago... actually reminded me of Morrowind a little..
It was made by the guys who did Ultrakill, Dusk, and Amid Evil.
It's an immersive sim, and unlike guns in shooters, most of the guns and the cane have utility uses aligned with stealth; yes, however, you can perform stealth kills. The smart way.
So it's not an ultra-violent blood-splatter fest with a dash of five-fingered discount?
Available now on Steam.

here we go, devil daggers 2 on acids

mostly the acid
playing it is actually easier than watching since you start filtering out the needed info fastly

new blood interactive doesn't make every game they publish, but there's a lot of idea exchange between people under em so it's half right

Only in case of abandonware
definitely not gray
otherwise it is illegal
meh
if you like private servers, there ye go
though project ascension is generally better
here we go, playing on a private server isnt illegal, hosting/creating one is
there, go have fun playing on it when it releases
No thanks I don't do mmos
which is completely fine
i was just pointing out how this one is doing a system where skills have their own talent trees
and i was like oh hey cool thats like last epoch
So I can play wow without giving blizzard money.
wish there was something similar for diablo 2 resurrected
I will probably buy it once the sale goes through and kotick gets the boot
them two events will probably be apart from each other
for a while
you mean like.... Grim Dawn's Reign of Terror mod?
I've played GD way too much at this point
like my Fallout 3 binge, it made me wait 10 yrs to try NV
but is it reign of terror that you've played?
reign of terror is vastly different
I was under the impression the map and monsters were the same so I passed
the entire map is diablo 2's map, it even has diablo 1 in it, with diablo 1/2 monsters
the visuals of GD are pretty signature for me and my eye has gotten a bit tired of them after playing the game so much

While real life parkour athelets are amazing, I honestly loathe parkour in games but thats just me. Seems like a serviceable console/controller kinda game. Probably have a lot of time and effort into it so far. One observation, the hands , the vid didnt show any interaction with game objects (beyond the chains which i didnt get) nor doing the parkour hand movements i wouldโve expected .. i.e the hands just look like they are flopping around distracting the actual forward movement. If there is to be more interaction, then ok, but if not, imho it would be better if they were not visible or at least not so โdeadโ?
Thanks a lot man. Yeah body system only exist like recently and trying to make it work. Hopefully hands gonna be more interactive with environment like walls. Also in later chapters there gonna be another skill unlocked probablly gonna be called "telekinesis" or something that you gonna able to hold projectiles in front of you to reditect them to do stuff that also gonna be interactive with left hand probably. It gonna become our first pc game so we wanna make sure it is the best we can do in our limitations.
Chain thingy is hookshot where you aim toward dots that pull you toward them. It also need to be better for sure ๐
It do have lots of emphasis on horizontal obstacles like small grounds
it would be nice if there were some vertical obstacles like cliffs, otherwise it may feel pretty monotonous both gameplaywise and scenery wise
Thanks you very much. Vertical progression/level design gonna become more after second chapter and it gonna be more and more vertical especially with new skills that gonna unlock. Last two chapter is sky and heaven and you even gonna able to fly shortly so there gonna me more vertical stuff ๐ (also double jump and dash gonna unlock later )
it recent addition. Hopefully it can get better.
Surprised to just find about this now, that is pretty cool
https://blog.novadrift.io/path-of-exile-influence/
I feel roguelikes and survivor games try to condense that experience as well into a small time frame. I would like to see a roguelike go into arpg influence further though, like getting good build depth yet also keep it more simple.
nova drift is pretty good but at same time very hard, for me at least. people create some amazing builds there.
that sounds actually fun, since arpgs also tends to have good replayability focus due to leagues and all
It would be nice to have roguelike arpg with fast progression and there be modifiers which are rng based leading to different runs each time. As well as class progression is semi choice based and semi rng for more interesting gameplay loop
Wait, tbh, Hades comes close to that concept

found one interesting mix
"Infinite expanding skill tree" i swear to god if its small numerical value increases i'll strangle the dev
"Shared skilltree and resources for an intense and strategic coop experience" woah woah woah woah, the hell?
It indeed is stat increase most of the time, with random game changing major nodes coming in between
this feels similar to darksiders genesis

At least that was fun though lol
Reward boost for clearing an area is a nice concept i can get behind
Ive been playing Shatterline which is a free to play fps hero arena shooter sort of like Valorant, but plays like call of duty. It has a pve mode thats actually crazy intense that works like a rogue-like and has little buffs you can gain for completing areas
Disgustingly hard pve though, gotta really learn mechanics
The pvp is great though with class abilities and everyone can revive everyone with 2 classes as dedicated supports
Yeah, Hades certainly does. But it doesn't have enough build variety or depth of builds imo
true
there is a demo up for soulstone survivors, which is very loosely like that, but in the style of vampire survivors
its neat but i dont really think i can say much for its depth yet
I have looked into, it legit looks nice, gameplay is fun as well, but atm just a demo

Tribes of midgard
tales of vesperia and bersaria
fire emblem series i good as well
seems tales is on sale
Fire emblem seems a bit memeish
@modest sentinel which one is the first?
Symphonia should be the oldest one, then vesperia then Berseria
in tales games, those 3 are the actual lit ones
I only played Zesteria and won't be trying out any other tales of games
Huh nah I just didn't like it
Zestria is boring af
I played 30% and fell asleep
vesperia is pretty fun, and story is nice as well
Symphonia has nice story
Berseria has nice character arcs
of Tales games
I would suggest atleast vesperia, Berseria and Arise
Symphonia may feel bit dated
I have Berseria but honestly I have another reason I am not interested: MMO anime style with first/third person view. It's why I don't like BOTW but love Link to the past.
Everytime i get a tales game it has like 500 costume packs and 5000 free levelups and i cant control myself enough to not use them
Ive never liked any tales games, they all feel slow af at the beginning and just feel like genshin impact anime weeb games
The most recent one that plays like a soulslike seemed cool though, think i refunded it though cause more fun games came out at the time
free level up, I may use them, if I feel like struggeling somewhere
Welp, tried to get Darktide to run on my steam deck, but no success
Guess i'll just make some LE builds instead
yep darktide isnt very optimized yet
Naaa its more so that ub
Uh
The launcher requires microsoft edge webview2
And that requires the microsoft store
And steam deck is well
Yea
Though most games can be run if you set compatibility to proton
Like LE
I run LE with 0 problems
well on high my 2070s didnt get above 60fps, had to optimize it a lot so its probably both
2060 super, 1440p
And my cpu is uhhh
Amd ryzen 5600x
Or 5650x? I cant remember
It was actually funny for a while, pc wouldnt overheat at all but pc kept crashing
I upgraded so much that i neglected my 650w psu
Overupgraded to an 850w, no more problems
Im surprised how well steamdeck runs LE
Of course im on all low at 40fps (i googled this and found someone else recommending these settings) but it runs ultra smooth now
i was waiting for something a bit smaller than a steamdeck for a comparable price but i might buy one
everything else is so much more expensive
Yea theres 3 versions of steam deck you can get
The only real difference between them is starting memory
But i bought the most expensive $650 anyways
You could totally put in a better ssd for cheaper
i'd prolly get the low tier and upgrade myself
but apparently the sd slot is pretty good alreeady
Like my pc i run EVERYTHING on a samsung evo 970 nvme ssd
2 tb
I'd like to get an nvme or some form of one for my steamdeck
Yea it is
Hell ive played Cyberpunk 2077 on all high with 60fps on my steamdeck
Diablo 2? Naaa i play Grim Dawn and it has a mod called Reign of Terror which transforms the entire game world as well as classes and items into Diablo 2's world, it was basically the Diablo 2 remake before the Diablo 2 remake came out
Im a big grim dawn fan, and not much of a diablo 2 fan (i dont really like classes abilities) so this mod came in clutch because my buddies all love diablo 2 and somewhat like grim dawn, so this was a great way for us all to enjoy D2
They've even added Diablo 1 to it, so when you complete a difficulty, you can go through the entire diablo 1 story and world before going to the next difficulty
yep played it but i play d2r in MP with a friend and RoT didnt work out well
Weird
Havent had problems with RoT yet
Ive sunk hundreds of hours into it with friends
And then away from ARPG's for a sec, Skyrim Together is also great
singleplayer was fine but in MP we desynced a lot
Truth be told, i had 3000 hours in skyrim and had never beaten the main story/campaign, then i ran it with 7 other friends and finally beat it
With 0 crashes, very little desync, we each had 50 mods
Likewise, i have 600 hours on Cyberpunk 2077 and have never beaten it
Just like making builds too much
Its funny, cause i love making builds here on Last Epoch as well, so you would think i cant sit on 1 character too long, but i have a level 100 for every sentinel, primalist, and mage mastery
As well as a 100 rogue bladedancer, but i just deleted my 100 necro acolyte, wasnt really a fan of acolytes but now that ive gotten more into making builds i kinds regret doing that
A lich with wings of arg and the movespeed damage boots wouldve been fun
I have multiples of every unique and set piece in the game (most without LP, as i had gotten them before that change)
So making and then running a build is easy to do
@potent dew @mortal cape Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam
Would you guys buy a game if it's on sale for $16 but it hasn't gotten a great update since it launched in early access earlier this year??
The game is V Rising
that would depend on the game
v rising me personally maybe
(I'm gonna check it out actually)
I'm thinking the same thing cuz it seems like a interesting idea mixing ARPG with survival.
But I just don't want it to be in dev hell like Valhiem turned out to be ( no content update in over a year now )
dealbreaker for me is it seems shallow without friends to play with and I'm not sure many of my friends do
Not really tho like it already has over 30 bosses for u to fight and they give u new stuff that's how u progress in this game which imo sounds wayyy more fun then the usual survival progression
Like this streamer played solo and did everything in the game and it took him 50hrs
If the game has lots of good solo content and we can finish the game solo, then even without much updates the game becomes something I want to purchase
V rising is very soloable, fun with friends too, i Initially did it with 1 buddy and we completed everything available within like 15 hours, but it was a super fun and solid 15 hours that I heavily recommend
it is more of free weekend, so those who are going to buy, can try first before buying
I think it's the right move to hold free weekend as promotion
also arguably it's the right type of game for stunlock studio in order to keep making games
how does it feel? good, ok, bad? i read that people compare it to something between d2 and d3
I can't believe wolcen is going to have a new "big" patch
I am kinda hyped about it

And just wanted to share

Darktide environment looks so good. This one object alone could be an entire portfolio it's so good.
Is the entire game as grey/dark though? I've been looking at it for a while & used to play Vermintide 2 a lot with one of my mates but he's put off by the aesthetic.
Or gameplay, or something.
@maiden crown
Im excited to see darktide on release
are you talking about the color scheme/atmosphere?
I've been playing the shit out of darktide, the visibility (or lack thereof) feels intended
there's a fog hazard that just fucks with your ability to see shit, and some guns have flashlight perks to counteract it
imo Darktide core game is far superior to VT2
toughness system feels significantly better than THP and having class-based grenades with more charges is far more consistent than RNG grenades
plus since VT2 is made for melee, they had a lot of trouble up balancing higher difficulties - my Leg/Cata squad success was 90% contingent on the skill level of the elf player; and Leg/Cata CW was 90% contingent on the skill level of the elf and RV players. Not having or having a weaker player on said classes was suicide
Darktide doesnt really have those balance issues because all classes have access to special removal that doesnt stink
darktide is the l4d-like coop games contender this year fosho
they just need to work on the gearing and the performance
all fixable, bit confusing why fatshark would make the gear this poor when theres already good systems in VT2 but its whatever if they improve upon it
ig they want to give different feel and mechanics regarding gear system
they seems to not want to deliver more of the same gear experience to vt2
some players already feel comfortable with old gear system in vt2 and they want more of the same overall experience, and I get that
Probably/yes.
I got into the closed test but got confused about how one acquired gear since I was expecting it to be similar to VT2.
As stated above, yeah the game is really grim-dark and there are plenty of times I've missed enemies because I couldn't see them in the dark areas they were coming from. Flashlights are almost mandatory gun attachment imo and I can see why some people might have an issue with the aesthetic.
Yeah, I don't have much of an issue with the grimdark, but the zone I played through was pretty monochrome unlike most VT2 maps.
How does the gearing work? Vis-a-vis VT2.
You get credits from each run and you can use them at a vendor on the main ship to buy/upgrade items
The zones definitely haven't been as colourful as VT2 by any stretch.
Which is a pity 'cause some splashes of colour can emphasise the grimdark-ness elsewhere.
The bosses have been colourful though. So there is at least that, it provides a really good indication of what needs to be shot/stabbed
The main quest hub is colourful at least ๐
yeah its like the D2 shop, except...only the shop
once you hit level 11, your character unlocks a weekly point system, and you spent points on...a second shop
not the best but its not the part I'm particularly dissatisfied with
the real problem is the stat tooltips are clear as mud, there's basically no telling what / how much the weapon actually does until you bring it to the psykanium
are there plans for new contents release in short and long term?
like how often they will add new stuff
fatshark is not known to be fast. certainly not a Riot/DE/GGG speed pipeline
but this is the LE server so it's probably fine by most people here
"GGG speed pipeline", on what, nerfing shit?
ahh understood. they are not being fast at releasing contents is not a bad thing either for its type of game and pace of development imho
I dun think it's right to compare fatshark to riot/ggg/de/tencent coz they all sell mtx as the main revenue streams which is constantly promoted and updated
GGG has been churning out 3-4 leagues a year, which is actually very fast given the scale of each league
it's probably a key reason why they're facing their current issues, I'm not a fan of this style of development and believe it's unsustainable
Someone has to write the text for skills thats so long that i have to read it 3 times and still dont have any really clue what that new skill does ๐

@stone kelp DMV is a gacha hellscape. Essentially, you can get characters from crystals you buy, and some crystals are similar to banners in Genshin, except there's no pity mechanism per se. Characters' stats and skillsets are star-gated, and there's no other way to bump the star rating other than repeatedly getting copies of said characters. Signature abilities unlock at 4-stars, which in itself requires a heavy investment.
Crystals themselves are RNG-layered. Either you get something wtfrandom (which happens almost every time), or you get a lower-rate copy of a featured character.
That, plus you're essentially time- or pay-gated (there's a variation of an anti-poop-socking system in place which you can swipe around, plus the game spams paid offers at every single goddamn opportunity).
Also, some optional encounters require certain characters you might have no way of obtaining.
when Blizzard and Disney eventually join up I'd like to see the monetization they will come up with
But the most ridiculous one is their economy. I call it "linear gains, quadratic costs". XP motes are divided into 5 types (melee, ranged, tank, support, universal) and 3 tiers (minor for Lv1-20, major for 21-50, superior for 51-100), and they're EXTREMELY FUCKING SCARCE the further into character development you get.
Case in point: it took me two full months to get a SINGLE character to Lv60.
And the worst part here is, you can't cross-convert or upgrade said motes.
Meaning you cap out on minor motes rather quickly (I'm currently capped on two types, the cap is 10k), but never get enough of what you actually need.
Same deal with secondaries like gemstones and gold, but gemstones have it much worse (specifically diamonds).
I have no idea whom the devs had in mind when they designed this.
the idea is to make you swipe
That almost brings me back to Lineage2's "golden" days.
ah they're using the same exp model as the vampire survivor clones on mobile
but in that game when you try to level something, its rng
your +1 will randomly go to melee, ranged, rank, support or whatever
You know what we need... LE mechanics, Star Wars reskin
I'm lazy learner , just gimme those 70k
Damn moderators. Now my joke makes no sense ๐
Bad mods!
im looking for any kid friendly uncharted / tomb raider game ... my son loves all the climbing part and sneaking is fun too, i just dont want to murder half armies with him on my lap ๐
the 3D zelda games have similar elements (action, puzzle, some infiltration...) and are more family friendly
there is horizon, with less puzzles and also less skulls and bones than tomb raider, and many fights against robot dinosaurs (but still some fights against humans)
in the same direction, there are jedi: fallen order (and maybe also the force unleashed) or guardians of the galaxy, both adding a fantasy dimension (less real) and "clean" violence (no blood, etc), the second with more focus on story
Ah thank you i own horizon ... but that doesnt have a lot of climbing afair
@ionic osprey spam!
For all the sports ball fans, if you happen to be a 1% like me who enjoys last epoch, call of duty and football, Warzone 2 has a weird promotional skin where you can look like Lionel Messi โฝ๏ธ
Now that's a micro-transaction!
Ah darn too bad for me then, i much prefer last epoch, call of duty, and soccer
I much prefer last epoch. Not for me ๐
soccerYou are still a heathen.
Ahahahahahaha
Yeah, but you don't use your feet, you should really call it handball
Carryball?
On the other hand, we could rename all sports to football instead.
In Australia, we have at least 4 national leagues all referred to as football by some group of people. It makes for interesting conversations ๐
Foozeball.
Handegg
kickball
Ball Tacklers
The australian football
Where you can kick players too!
The very best
Fun facts : here in this peninsula they call italy there is an ancient medieval sport in Florence. It's called calcio fiorentino and you can beat the shit out of players.
I believe that's called Rugby.
Australian football is different from rugby
Young padawan
Upside down soccer
The very word "soccer" has no meaning
It means they play with socks
Yes, I know.
Grasshopper.
Ah, but which rugby ๐
Because in all other games ppl plays naked feet
Nice distinctive element
Could as well call it "ball"
Lets just compromise and call it "Battle" and be done with it.
a few hundred years ago we'd all just be doing the same pastime with a lot more metal & blood and a warm beer after (bleugh!) for the survivors.

I expect nothing less than frostbite injuries from every bottle glugged but ice in a beer - grief man what kind of heathen do you take me for, diluting a good brew with water. wtf.
what kind of heathen do you take me forAs a married man, I would expect you to know to never ask a question you don't want to know the answer to.
Some beer is nice warm
I recall a few stouts that took on some nice toned when room temperature
beers are like coffees
they don't particularly taste good but they're common go to drinks over talks or hangouts imho
I prefer strawberry milkshake they're delicious (childlike me) ๐คฃ
hey as long we have drinks to enjoy. then all good
I generally dislike hard liquor, but i enjoy Midori which is a japanese melon liquor
I was mixing it with apple juice, orange juice, and cranberry juice earlier, you mix enough fruit juices and it tastes like skittles
I feel like mountain dew mixed in would turn it into crack cocaine
Mountain dew is also great with skittles, you mix a couple bags in and let it sit for a few days, a few sips will give you a sugar rush + diabetus
alcohol or liquor that don't taste like piss but instead like delicious fruits (or potentially other desireable food items)
are drinks Im going for
I assume they were poured on some "nice toned" person of acceptable physiology?

@rustic holly moving this here incase we go on for too long
Ive been kinda itchin to get back on Gw2, new E-specs have me very intrigued
dont like that they removed most of the class specific group buffs
but a lot of nice changes since i last played
I'd say I play only since may, I don't know how the meta has been shaken before but from loose jokes.
And I currently play only one spec, and from HoT at that
And since I played a bit after the original launch and stopped due to content drough, now I just the amount of stuff to do.
havent played in over a year, ive played an and off since release
By unique buffs, just to list a couple examples
Warrior's Banner of discipline used to give the group Precision, now it gives fury
Ranger's Spotter used to give precision, now it does something with fury i think
Ranger's frost spirit gave %damage now it does some type of boon
all the classes had some kind of unique buff, all of em seem to have been changed
very unfortunate
Druid has been axed somewhat too. I'm not in place to speak about nerfs, I'm just honestly rad my Reaper have capabilities to be in Raid meta due to dps increase on bosses
oh im not talking general balance
just kinda sad that all the class specific buffs were made to be generic
would you say it's streamlined now? or do you think it just reduce originality of classes?
I think this is one of the changes that make some hardcore players unsatisfied rather than average players
it both makes build diversity better and worse
on one hand
you dont have to have a banner warrior anymore, a ranger for spotter and frost spirit
etc
so other classes might earn a spot when they otherwise wouldnt
but on the other hand, if a class was weaker at the time, their unique buff could be enough to warrant them a spot
ill probably enjoy not having 2 of my utilities occupied by banner at all times now
but its still a bit sad
right. just to be clear
this is first impressions right?
coz you might think differently after you spend few hours or enough time
i dont think it will ever not be a bit sad
because conceptually i liked that each of em has unique buffs
im fully open to the idea that i may enjoy it more gameplay wise
Saw the Hades 2 trailer and ngl I wish it was it was Bastion 2. Oh well it is what it is...
I'd like to play bastion 2 too
I know Hades is super popular but my fav game from them is Bastion
speaking of callisto protocol, I switch here to stay on topic @eager ridge
Ive only heard from u the complaints that people have
what I heard before is the game actually has serious performance issues, simply put unplayable
Yea, and its issues that literally get fixed in a few clicks
Which is hilariously astounding to me
what platform do you play the game on?
I read there are different issues on different platforms
I havent gotten it yet, but a bud has it, showed me the issues everyone has, did the fix which takes less than 10s on pc, and the game ran smooth as butter
ahh okay. then it's go time
Its like 2-3 settings that have to be turned off or changed
Im sure as more people play it we'll learn of additional settings you can tinker with, like going into the games ini files and tinkering stuff
I think the phenomenon which was likely happened
If at first you dont succeed, fuck with the .ini
is players just think the game does not work as intended and/or out of the box
they are easily frustrated and exaggerated their feelings, then lash out on socials/reviews
Which is hilarious to me, cause don't like 90% of players look at settings first and turn off shit like depth of field and motion blur
I get. it's hysterical coz it's a small thing
in terms of performance, it's still problem to be fixed. and on the players side, it's unavoidable complaints/reactions
Though, to be fair, the game could also just require a stronger rig
what u said is true, don't get me wrong
Ive never looked at its system requirements
I just recently upgraded my 2060super to a ryzen amd 6800xt, so i should be fine
6800xt is inbetween a 3080 and 3080ti
I see, if you think it'll be fine, then trust
I dunno much about the graphics cards' performance and its comparison haha
also get this, not only average players are impatient, probably they just upset after spent premium $ on a game and it just don't work smoothly
it's one of the probabilities that is likely happened on their minds/thought process imho
id be so down for bastion 2
but tbh ill take anything from SGG
I just moved from a 1070 to a 6650XT myself. Paid like, 299 or something like that for a triple fan card.
@potent dew Spam
Ascend: Reborn came out a while ago, it's basically Ascend: Hand of Kul but with a much smaller team in charge these days
@potent dew
its more hilarious that devs leave that shit enabled by default when everybody will turn them off anyway
I guess you underestimate the ammount of potatoe PCs running games that have such low framrates that you need motion blur to have a somewhat moving image ๐
I am curious because I think that there are many players who play with stronger or similar performing PCs than the recommended specs
and enabling a certain setting by default which causes the performance problem on launch could ruin expectations met and thus the users' reception or in general

Apparently plays a lot like Shatterline, which is cool
shatterline is pretty good
Yea shatterlines pvp AND pve are both very fun
So i'll def give this game, which looks like it has similar elements, a try
did anyone test the "new" witcher 3 yet? Performance really seems to be n issue -.- maybe i will hold back with this replay of my beloved game till i got a 4090 (or something around that range) and an oled monitor -.-
Well, I would wait until a week or two, until devs patch these issues
watching a video on a 4090 reaching like 40fps on 4k is not very promising for a 3080 and 1440 ultrawide ๐
My kid tested it out a little on his new laptop with a 3070 Ti (mobile) and it brought it to its knees on RTX Ultra, 1080p - Looked pretty good tho, no doubt about that - raytracing is obvious and the details even on the relatively low res is noticeable. BUT I dont think that many people are going to be in a position to really appreciate it in all its glory @4k without some serious $$$ hardware.
So ill wait and hope to hit a great year 2023 for some entertainment budget ๐
I am in the same boat but I am expecting a little windfall in Jan that I am thinking of splurging on a full system upgrade - I feel I deserve it after not having upgraded in 7 years - it would be a luxury no doubt about it, but I am in the f it mindset right now. need to treat myself.
I saw someone mention tiny Tinas wonderlands in here the other day, it looks cool and is on sale on epic games store, Does anyone have an example of what it plays like ?
Didnt realize its a borderlands game, or something like that. Interesting.
So i assume it plays like borderlands lul
it does
I remember hearing that borderlands isnt that great, and they seem to get old quickly, not sure if thats true or just one guys opinion or whatever
its basicly a repainted borderlands ... not the greatest game on earth but if you can buy it for some dollars on sale it will entertain you long enough for sub 1 dollar per hour ๐
Seems like just playing Vermintide 2 again is probably better idk
shoot, loot, shoot more ... its an arpg painted FPS
Borderlands 2 was awesome, 3 not so much.
Im trying to find an interesting character building game that i havent played before
There's not so much of that in any of the borderlands games
YEah i just want something where i can like level or customize a character preferably with items as well as skills/etc. But it doesnt need to be a game like LE or Diablo exactly
BL2 is a good "lootershooter" with some awesome quests, voice work & humour.
Ive never played elden ring, Ive heard that is good.
Here, Butt Stallion!
Heresy
Borderlands 2 is the best yes, but my god i love 3's Moze
Bringing mechwarrior into borderlands was fan fucking tastic
Shadow Warrior 2
Borderlands like, diablo loot, can be fast paced like doom if you decide to go that way
Has its builds as well
Shadow warrior 3 is piss poor trash compared to it
Yeah, but the story & the writing... The villains were stupid.
BL3 everything was better than BL2 except the story and characters
can you finally skip all the stupic cut scenes and videos in the story?
I wanna switch channel so the convo stays on topic, what's the big changes happened to new world and darktide midway development? @granite monolith
I did not follow both games
new world was originally much heavier on the survival craft elements and less on the mmo elements
the original pitch to investors wasnt so much of an mmo as it was a โmmo/survival hybridโ and the earliest alpha was also a lot closer to that vision
darktide Iโm not sure but theyโve admitted to reworking a majority of the game partway through development
suspect the game was originally intended to be a lot more story driven, similar to vermintide
Wonder when that changed, i dropped about 500 hours in over the course of the alpha and beta, didnt touch launch because it felt the same
Only reason i didnt want to keep playing new world was because of always running everywhere
Its fucking death stranding
I remember people mainly ran what, the healing staff? Just cause it had a long dash for getting around quicker
coz I used to follow gw2 and their lead designer moved over to amazon for new world
so I read the initial investor pitch around 2015 ish? when they first started amazon games
I think when the game came out for alpha it was already on its mmo phase
or rather, pivoted to its current mmo design
Heres to hoping ashes of creation is good
I need a new mmo besides WoW private servers
Iโm kinda done with mmos
the model doesnt suit modern industry imo
my belief is 4-8-man squad roguelite stuff like warframe, borderlands, xtide is the way forward
yeah mmo is more complex to make and require more resources thus making them harder proposition imho
only few mmos succeed (commercially) such as retail wow, ff xiv, eso, and gw2
I think retail wow and eso are particularly disliked by general mmo players or average players but they still make tons of money coz they already found their market/hardcore fans
that what i do mostly now too.
i used to wanna make mmo too but i grow up XD Now i wanna make games i can finish XD Also
Just released new game mod update for my game Hell Runner

Thought experiment:
- pick your favourite game
- how much money would somebody need to give you to walk away and never play it again (assume it is income and taxation applies)?
that's easy, been doing it for free ever since 3.14
I dunno, I don't technically have a favourite game
Death stranding freebie in epic
I hate epic games but death stranding was one of the more unique experiences I've had in gaming
id quit L4D2 for L4D3

death stranding is really underrated game
what do u like about death stranding?
art direction, music choice or rather lack of music most of the time, so when it is it is chosen in specific time and place and generally good tracks, story is pretty interesting and whole worldbuilding, generally interesting mix of takes on possible technologies, though generally may be seen as boring concept of delivering package from point a to point b it is made to be exciting by need to plan, prepare and overcome difficulties on road, lots of interesting details in gameplay mechanics that are not really needed but make whole experience better. it is game at end though, it has some shortcomings of course, it may be not even that hard to some people after you get to understand how some things work but first time experience was really exciting and fresh compared to big game scenes (because pretty much only indies are brave enough to challenge new concepts and genres), it has simple concept at bottom but whole thing around how it is made, what it is about makes it interesting
Yeah basically it's a big budget indie game
Dishonored is given away on EGS. Predictably, "this product is unavailable in your region". Again.
Somebody, please, end me already...
dishonored 2 is available via amazon prime gaming thingy (gog version)

Some random generic lookin mobile game got shut off? Eh
too many mobile games which results to too many end of service... or deaths
Honestly the only mobile game I was ever sad to see go was Tetris by EA.
It was a fairly nice game with microtransactions that were only to get music tracks or something iirc.
I 100% completed the game without spending a penny. Probably why they closed the game.
Not making enough money I guess.
Wow tetris not making money?
Who knew
Isnt there a tetris battle royale?
it is probably because the mtx not strong enough to convert players into spenders
the psychological tricks ain't working ๐คฃ
Yep
Or rather giving infinite chances/clearing the lines with special boosters or w/e.
Basically little to no p2w iirc
Isn't that what they called the building phase of the World Cup?
Well, to be completely fair, its selling point was 'no paywalls whatsoever', complete with no energy and other anti-poop-socking 'measures'. The game was awesome in that while it did have a couple of 'paid' options, the player was completely fine ignoring them, plus it enforced players down to Lv1 across the board for duels and some other challenges to keep things fair.
So as generic looking or whatnot the game seemed to be, it still was great to tinker with nonetheless.
@fervent hazel ^^^^^
Having a sudden urge to playtest a Dualshock 4 ended up in me unearthing MGRR again. THE MEMES
Monsoon is as challenging as ever, lol ๐
that speech has been ruined by the internet for real
I'm not sure it's even speech, just a random collection of letters.
Well, they wanted to break Raiden with it, but it backfired spectacularly xD
yep XD
jokes and memes aside they use the definition of meme from when it was first coined by richard dawkins in his book "the selfish gene"
I just got unfriended by someone for buying hogwarts legacy lmao
I guess jk rowling is bad?
No idea who they are though other than they made the harry potter universe
JK Rowling has taken a position on transgender rights which many find extremely distasteful. As such, a number of people are boycotting.
FWIW - just clarifying why - I have no interest in discussing it further on the internet ๐
oof
Alright seperate thing then, whats FWIW mean?
For what it's worth
"trans women are not the same as biological women" is an extremely distasteful opinion. thanks world
people act like what rowling said is a call for a "genocide" against trans people. if anyone wants to distance themselves from you for hogwarts legacy then just let those people go, they aren't worth it.
ah yes, let's just disregard every other take she's felt the need to blast out on twitter as well.
Just disregard twitter in general
Fuck twitter

hmm gatewalkers just released on steam. Not sure if waste of 30$ or I would actually enjoy it enough.
if thats what i think it is, i played the alpha for a year back and it was pretty meh, but then again that is "alpha"
yea it is
$25, but its got an "introductory offer" of $20
maybe ill wait until reviews are in. Im tied up dragging myself through titans quest so slowly for first time right now anyways.
I've got $20 in my steam wallet, i'll give it a shot
yup already refunded it lmao, still the same clunky controls and an absolute mess since alpha
all they've done is add more content to it, but im not going to deal with that content if the controls are abyssmal
Do they force you to use wasd for movement?
yes, but wasd is fine, ive played plenty of solid, hell even worse games that used wasd, its just everything else feels extremely rough around the edges
it feels like nothing about it control wise has been polished since alpha
Oh I cant do wasd. Hades and the ascent hurt my feelings.
I even bought a controller for them but never got around to learning it.
ive played other top downs that were wasd and had far worse content available than this game, but the movement and controls were far more fluid and easily got a couple of hours out of me
controls mean everything to me
if the controls arent good, i wont even bother, even if its well loved by the entire world
Hmm that's too bad. Gatewalkers seemed like it had some good potential. I guess we wait for Nightingale, which has a similar idea.
Thats the victorian lookin one right? Is that an arpg? I thought it'd be like a first person
Wait yea it is a first person
Yeah, it's more of a survival game, but it has similar ideas to gatewalkers, with the different worlds and stuff
Should give Craftopia a shot then haha
My bud and i discussed exactly that earlier and i was like wouldnt it basically be no mans sky as well? No mans sky has portals to other universes n shit, and you can set up portal systems between bases
Craftopia also has portals between worlds
Its the kinda games where you'll be setting up bases on mulitple worlds while having a main base on 1 world
Which im fine with
Yeah, I guess it could be kind of NMS-y, but the problem I always have with NMS is that everything feels so generic. I definitely want more of the "Home base + explore" games, and the sort of victorian/steampunky theme is one I always really enjoy
Lotta good games coming out in next few months
Buddy and i looking forward to The Day Before, which is like DayZ mixed with The Division
Big sprawling city, pvpve shooter
Zombies can quickly overwhelm players
Yeah, 2023 is looking to be a pretty good year, assuming the games don't get pushed to 2024 ๐
even if some gets pushed, we still have many to play
If you are in the tried it once category protect your Steam account being tarnished by a VAC ban by using Help -> Steam Support to select the game and remove it from your library.
I already have a vac ban, TIME TO COLLECT MORE
bots are everywhere, especially too many in F2P games
Forspoken seems fun at least in the demo. Reminds me of Infamous more than anything.
Ive been enjoying it, gave it a positive review
I went into it reading people say it was horribly unoptimized and unfun
Its not horribly unoptimized
Its not even remotely unoptimized
Unless your rig is absolute horseshit
Then thats on you
And its fun af
The bosses are fun af, feels like arpg combat, like witcher and latest assassins creeds
Sorta soulslike
Dodgin and weavin in and out of the boss while spewing out spell combos
I'm playing at 1440p max settings at just over 100 fps. That's pretty rough compared to most games. It looks pretty and there's nothing wrong with a new game pushing the limits. But I do play other pretty games that don't come close to pushing my system like this.
You can play most games max settings on a 3070 so I understand why many would be upset by the performance. I always tell people not to bother with 4k gaming if you want good performance.
Honestly the fact they gave us a demo is pretty good in my books. I won't play it but even that is a reason for those who haven't tried it and jumping on the bandwagon to at least give it a go.
Combat and gameplay just feels action rpg/soulslike except you're insanely mobile
Its pretty fun
And exploration is fun too
And theres a crapton of customizable settings for a lot of things
like autopickup items
You just vacuum up loot while running by
God i love it so much
That kinda shits a modded in thing in other games
I just don't know if it has enough depth for me.
The character is really off putting in the dialog and how she talks
Dialogue never bothered me in the demo
i still dont understand the reasoning behind this
shes seemed completely fine for me so far
like any character in any other video game
game feels like a spellcasters playground, and i love it because of that
its going to be hard af to play hogwarts legacy after this, with how mobile you are as a spellcaster
and then harry potter ass sittin there wandin out spells
because she is a new yorker in a fantasy world slinging spells and saying things like "THAT just happened!"
there's been a recent slew of fantasy series where it seems they just pluck teens out of the real world and drop them into fantasy settings and its really annoying to me.
That's been a normal thing for a very long time in fantasy
no it hasn't
It makes it more relatable
It has been a normal thing for longer than you have been alive
i don't watch fantasy hoping that the characters are #relatable
how old do you think i am
How old do you think Narnia is?
the dialogue in narnia doesn't sound like they dropped teenagers from new york and california into a fantasy world
No it sounds like they dropped British children into a fantasy world
I watched a Hogwarts video and I have no idea why anyone who isn't a Harry Potter fan would rather play that than Forspoken
yea, makes sense
like pretty much anyone would say
weirdo
the rest of the world doesn't talk like new york
because if i buy hogwarts legacy i contribute to the trans genocide
oh no one of those people
oops i dropped my /s
i just find it funny lol
hogwarts legacy does look like it'll be great though
i preordered the deluxe edition
it looks like a good game, and im here to play good games, politics can fuck right off
same
I have a backlog to deal with so no new games for a little while for me
yea with recent steam sales i picked up Days Gone and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
those 2 + Forspoken and Hogwarts Legacy should keep me busy for a while
days gone has been alright
good chunk of games also dropping in march and may
I'm ready for the UE5 games but I really gotta finish a couple other games first... also Cyberpunk DLC at some point coming
i don't really pay much attention to new releases, at least not at the AAA level
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1817230/HiFi_RUSH/
hmmm this just popped up on my steam recommendeds, looks pretty good
Feel the beat as wannabe rockstar Chai and his ragtag team of allies rebel against an evil tech megacorp with raucous rhythm combat! From Tango Gameworks, the studio that brought you The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo (no, really) comes Hi-Fi RUSH, an all-new action game where the characters, world and combat stylishly sync to the music!Chai V...

Superfuse drops in 6 days
hope the controls arent still dogshit
grats to the both of you for getting added to the blocked pile.
can't stand these people "only MY opinion is right and screw everyone else"
thanks! thats another one
I think I missed a few messages hereโฆ
Not really - just the internet being the internet
Now, where's my drama-cape...
I don't even know who @lusty fiber is talking about
Only reason I'm not buying Hogwarts Legacy is because I never liked Harry Potter (the entire series) other than a tiny bit of the first movie.
You read all the books?
Wait you watched all the movies and only liked the first one?
If books don't have lots of pictures in them I'm not interested in reading. (There maybe some exceptions though)
I watched upto movie 4 I believe. Lost interest since 2 but watched the rest because of school taking us there.
If I feel like watching the movies I skip the first 3 entirely
I never read the books. I watched parts of some of thw movies. I think I even watched the entirety of one. I believe a chap with red hair saves the world.
I have friends who are super-amped for the game though. Fandom is strong in those ones.
Bring on any one of those cancelled Stargate MMOs, I say ๐
I'm a Marvel fan but I'm definitely not jumping on any games just because they are Marvel. I do enjoy Marvel Snap though...
I watch all the harry potter movies once a year, im not a massive harry potter fan, i just like movies that work in a trilogy or a series and watch them all once each year
Harry potter, lord of the rings, twilight, jurassic park/world, indiana jones, star wars, any big movie trilogies or series
Alot of the marvel and dc movie series are good too, some i cant stand because they feel unnecessarily drawn out and lots of talking like im watching dragon ball z, mainly the avengers
Avengers is good at the start but i never watched the last movie
I got like an hour in and gave up cause i got bored
Buddy told me it doesnt get good till the last half hour, and im like, im not sitting through 2-3 hours of bullshit dialogue to get to the meat
I think there was only one really long dc or marvel movie i enjoyed and it was that one zack snyder one
Cant remember if it was justice league or something?
You mean Endgame? If so then yea I agree it is a fairly boring movie for the most part. It gets good about two thirds of the way in to the movie but for me other than watching it the first time I would either not watch it at all or just watch the last 1/3rd of the movie.
DC and yea it was Justice League. I enjoyed it quite a lot and do wish they could have expanded on his ideas (though I wasn't a fan of his idea killing off Batman in the third movie...).
Dude have the justice league animated movies shorts popped up for you on youtube? Holy shit
Apokalips war or whatever its called
Jesus fuck i gotta watch that sometime, its absolutely brutal
those arent shorts, they are full movies
the dc animated universe is really good
way better than the live action movies they've been doing
Those movies are insane lol and I love them
Yea i started getting batman and justice league shorts and it started off pretty light hearted and tame then it started doing apokalips war? (I cant remember how they spell it, its some dumbfuck way)
i think they are all on hbo now
Though I do like the new Superman animated movie
No hbo here unfortunately so gotta sail the high seas
Or buy on amazon but I only do that for movies I like
Just dl ublock origin, then go look up any random movie watching site, with ublock original all the bad ads go bye bye and they turn into completely normal movie watching sites
I love it lmao
I just explained it all to my dad too
Yep and it feels even better to watch on a browser like firefox. I can't stand Chrome with how they are trying to get rid of adblockers
As well as free book reading sites, for like full on books
I don't even explain to anyone. I just install it for everyone I know (and they aren't very computer savy)
When my sister starts up college courses, she goes through me first because i can usually find free ๐ดโโ ๏ธ versions of her textbooks online for her to digitally download. Then i have her show her professors and most will show their class too, cause the professors dont get anything for students buying textbooks, and if students can get them free, most professors will actually encourage it
The only tricky part are the textbooks that release new versions often
My pops lives up in the mountains and doesnt make much money, hes been studying to become a forest ranger so its been especially helpful getting him free textbooks online
On and i bought him the game Firewatch, it just seemed perfect for him haha, if anyone knows any forest ranger like games lemme know
Got him The Long Dark as well
Green Lantern would actually make a great MMO concept, DC should get on that.
One of the few source materials where it makes sense to have new characters and already lots of factions available.
And you can make your guy look like Ryan Reynolds
am not sure people want more MMO coz it's harder proposition than other live service games
maybe a live service ARPG DC license game is possible as it is, imo, more viable
personally don't want RPG collector gacha game, for obvious reason
How about we don't do live service games and just let me buy and enjoy a game
You madman
Oh, you're going to stream Lost Ark instead of Last Epoch? Unsub. Too harsh?
yeah i feel like theres a bit of context missing
yeah it happens
more DC heroes premium model game is good. multiplayer as additional/optional feature
squeenix lost money on avongers despite it lasting over a year and being tied to one of the biggest franchises of all time.
yeah I thought it would be a slam dunk release. turns out it has mixed and bad reviews, and other issues

Metroid Prime remastered looking good
Remastered? I thought the trilogy on switch WAS the remaster
https://youtu.be/48LzZEG2Pck
Oooo yes looks nice, but i don't know why its hyping the alternate control scheme, didnt the prime trilogy already have that control scheme?
Step back into the suit.
Metroid Prime Remastered is out now on Nintendo eShop!

I haven't played any Metroid in like 15 years other than Dread, so I don't remember much of that stuff
I want to use this one to get back into it a bit
try Primehook, its a pc emulated Metroid Prime, but for mouse and keyboard and the controls are actually good
reminds me of the time i played breath of the wild on pc, and the mouse and keyboard controls actually felt like the game was made for pc
Time for factorio until multiplayer ๐
I played Cosmoteer starship architect with friends last night. That was a pretty good ride if you're looking for stuff to play. If you want more details, need to wait till I'm at lunch ๐
I really wish they had just taken the Bruce Timm universe and just made them live action movies.
Itโs a fun game. There is a multiplayer tournament going on this weekend.
Pvp right? Not especially my style but glad it is thriving ๐
@twilit mountain (continuing) Bonus points for me not owning EoD at all (deliberately so).
I own all of them, I just have no drive to play with nobody to play with :P
Relatable. I quit WoW for good because of abandonment issues, so to speak.
Monthly sub fee is another can of worms, but it's a lesser evil in my book compared to total zero people to even chat with, much less do some activities together.
As for EoD, I refuse getting it because (a) my country of origin is a monumental nested clusterfuck which prevents me from paying for anything abroad and (b) Untamed is a flipping DISAPPOINTMENT right off the bat (I'm a ranger main so that means a LOT to me).
Yeeeeeah. My group quit because my guild leader is an immature manchild who couldn't accept the fact that sometimes patches have balance problems and it takes time to sort out how to shift the power without breaking things more
I'm aware that I'm losing a metric fuckton of story additions along with the newest LW chapter, but it is what it is.
See, I don't actually care about keeping up with LW chapters. I play what I want when I want :P
Good. ๐
And that's why I sold like 40 hours to gold farming Drizzlewood
Anyway, 'abandonment issues', compounded by my previous run-ins in Lineage 2 from ages ago (my account got hacked and I lost all the gear gifted to me prior; long story) and the trAIDS clusterfuck back in FortniteSTW, just made me omit any and all interactions with other players in any online projects I took part in, cranking self-reliance all the way up to eleven.
I even managed to max out Chef while f2p in GW2 ๐
Along with other crafting disciplines save for scribe to boot.
I've maxed the ones I use and crafted two full sets of ascended gear, other than that I just sell my mats because I like watching the gold counter go up
Ranger is what clicks the most with all my default playstyles (either a ranged DPS or a support; power soulbeast and boon support druid check those boxes nicely).
I play condi Deadeye :P
I used to main a MM hunter and a holy/disc priest back in WoW.
the unit models...... i mean.... ehhhhhhhhh. BUT THE STAT SYSTEM ON EVERYTHING JEESE
Dwarven Realms looks ok, too bad its only single player though
oooo hell yea, looks like it'd be a lot of fun with co-op
reminds me of Rune Knights, which has co-op
i just want normal excal for mr purposes
yea
then hf
go play with ur friend nerd
i am?
i could bring the bone daddy
not you him lol
oh
Still better MP Launch then Diablo 3 ๐

Hey community, what is best dot in the game right now? ignite, cold, bleed, poison any others ? And what pros and cons of each
They are all good. Try them out
In what way is Untamed a disappointment? I've only seen the showcase trailer, but unlike soul beast it seems like an actual pet spec with cool interactions and an actual focus on the pet
Soulbeast was a huge disappointment and made me quit for a few years
I play a melee bm type deal in gw2 currently, it seems perfect mechanically but I've never heard anything performance wise
I see it as a disappointment because its signature weapon is a 2h hammer and the entirety of the kit is heavily leaning into CC, thus the entire spec following Spellbreaker's footsteps into the PvP territory (or at least it was that way with its first iterations both on public betas and on live servers for the first several months after the release).
Not to mention the sheer amount of micromanagement CLUNK involved.
Those don't really seem like problems
Unless the micro is not pet related
As a pet focused spec in any game should have pet micro
The more I learn about the D4 combat system the more I love it. I love how it seems like Rouge is forced to use multiple abilities cuz of the combo system and they can be hybrid melee and ranged in one.
I also love the fact that every class is getting ultimate moves. Can't believe that didn't make it to arpgs awhile ago.
im just so sick and tired of arpgs only having 1-2 skills people specialize in talk about boring combat imo. i want to be able to use all my skills depending on the situation im in or just setting up combos and focus more on dodging attacks thats why i LOVED Lost Arks combat system
ooh didnt know that about the rogue
If a skill has "Minion Tags: Fire, Buff" does that mean any increase in fire dmg I have it will also have or does only increased minion fire damage count for that?
the affix must have the word minion before anything else
Is trading ever going to be a thing?
Yes
When can I trade someone. I just want to trade freinds. Like without playing withthem
It will be in a future patch
You will be able to choose between 2 paths
1 will give you boost to mf 2 will give you access to trade
(To make it short)
but i think both will give you access to trade with friends, right?
You will always have access to gifting, and playing with people can give you an item make an item giftable
Trading without playing with someone at all will be done through the bazaar AFAIK, once it and it's faction is available
actually I'm not so sure about gifting after the new faction system is implemented, we know that 1 faction cannot wear items dropped by another faction, thus cross-faction gifting basically bypass this faction limit, allowing serious exploitation
so I believe the limit to gifting is that both players have to be in the same faction
If I recall correctly, you can gift items to the other faction, but they will have a faction rank requirement to equip. So if you're the Merchant faction, you won't be able to equip gear dropped by the Fortune faction. But if you later swap faction to Fortune, you'll be able to equip it.
does someone has also log in problems atm? i cant join online game
ama
wut
I wonder if those are permanent upgrades to the healing potions you find, that would kinda justify the expense
it is
For some reason I've always hated gold values that are so crazy like that
