LP works in a very simple way.
A Unique item can have up to 4 Legendary Potential (LP)
Each one has a different chance to have it based on certain things that the devs have determined is a good idea to use. Generally it's how easy it is to get the item.

You then use the item that has LP to slam an exalted item in the temporal sanctum to get the mod you want onto that unique turning it legendary (T2 Temporal, do not do it on T1)
From there you have your body

Depends what you need to progress your character. Confluence of Oblivion and Collapsing Horizon might be the play. Check your desired gear and what weaver tree notes offer, make sure to use the search function. Also if you just want to grind CoF make sure to spam Lostwood Folly and False Temple and then at rank 12 of CoF to go full prophecy mode as the rewards are doubled (you can purchase propecies before rank 12 if you spend enough favor to level to 12). Make sure to use double reward and double uses lenses as you have way too much favor and you'll likely spend more than an hour looking through that telescope otherwise.

Getting LP is mostly a game of quantity, yeah. If it's random drop, you can get more chances from imprinting the unique you want on the weaver tree, or from prophecies. Imprints in particular will increase odds of LP based on how high it already is.

Higher corruption also increases odds.
For boss drops that's the only thing tthat really helps. That and the CoF rank bonus for extra boss drops, and the weaver tree node for a chance of getting a boss drop off a tomb rare

My buddy and I are about to stop playing because we are getting hit by crazy damage spikes on the regular. The most obvious one are harbingers doing close to 8k despite being max resists (overcapped by 30+, on most) and with a lot of armour. Is there any ETA about damage balance getting addressed soon or is it over for the season ? I also feel like I often die while in lich form which is not supposed to happen, is it a known thing ?

Yeah, you can just do two rules. First rule that an item matches does its thing, and no other rules after it will even check

you can't get a primordial unique or primordial exalted before your build can swim in 300+ corruption if this is your first character

Bones can stack but materials are rarer

prolly not this early, its still about 3 hours before they normally start their day... but EU west is the problem child of the servers so its likely they know about it but it can be hard to track down and fix with so many routing options
