So? Each prophecy rolled has that increased chance to be what you want. The point was never to remove RNG, it was to change the weighting to better focus on the stuff you need, and each prophecy going from 10% to 40% is still a very significant amount more boot prophecies over the other types. That is going from a 1 in 10 prophecies being what you want to nearly a 1 in 2 prophecies

Yeah, and if you have an LP1 item that may be nice while gearing/leveling, can always try to make a legendary with it and see what you get since the uniques level req takes precedence over the affix level req so you can make really good leveling uniques on just random 1lp stuff

you can't filter by cof tag, but you can filter to change the color of any item that is both exalted and say, a dagger per your example. then when an item of that color drops you just check to see if it has the cof tag to pick up for using a rune of ascendance on it. in my experience it's something like 50/50

Lens choice is purely up to you, there is no perfect optimal setup. If you are farming prophecies though you will want the increased odds of unique x lenses though most likely, or the multiplying rewards ones if you have the rank. As for the rare staff, the type bias is only for unique/set items and is a special mono node type, not a drop bias for everything inside the timeline

I haven't tried it out yet, waiting on 3rd slot but I think the big advantage of the extra cost extra reward lenses is that the relative cost of rerolling is much lower, so you just search for a really nice prophecy with lots of rewards and easy to complete and then spend a lot of favor on it but get tons of rewards

Rarity and whatnot scales a bit over that, but 300 unlocks the last potential loot tier. So unless your build shreds, no real point doing anything harder right now. Unless it is proven that higher corruption gives more CoF favor, which means more prophecies. But it needs to scale pretty damn hard for it to be worth the extra difficulty.

It also would massively reduce the time needed to get the various boss sets (Gaspar, the Shattered Lance Set, and the Lich Set). Like, sets arent just garbage, they are niche just like most uniques, but them NEEDING the other pieces for their power makes them harder to get power out of, so getting the full set each time helps with that and minmaxxing for set based builds

Tomes gave the same favor at 100 corruption and at 222 corruption. This would mean it's the same throughout. I'm hoping it's just tied to tomes because I would love to be getting more favor at higher corruption.

You just can trade items with Resonance, to make em "unbound". And ofcourse if you partying with someone. But if it is a Fortune Rank Item, the player needs the same rank.

Spending your favor give you reputation 1 favor spent = 2 reputation gained. You also gain reputation by killing things and completing quests. Early on I would probably spend favor as you get it so you can rank up more.

What level zones are you getting 8000 favor per hour? You'd really wanna do empowereds if you're gonna push ranks
If you're not up for empowereds, you'd wanna focus on pushing gear, not ranks beyond 6/7

If you wanna actively focus on favor, you can go after XP echoes - the XP from books also counts for XP gain for favor

I wouldn't be surprised if the favor from XP books was worth more glyphs/runes through prophecies than glyph/rune echoes too

It's your bis weapon for some weapons. Just like any other mmo or PoE your best items should be a bit expensive it should not be easy to get BiS gear lol. You may never get it on CoF lol

Only reason i'd use a set is if i'm leveling as they're pretty good and a lot are low level, but then again there are plenty of low lv/0 lv uniques that you can make into legendaries and give them to a new char you're leveling.

You have to Buy prophecies with Favor. Each one you buy will have conditions. Like "Kill 5 Rare mobs in Monolith with 100 Corruption" The lenses increase your chances to see "Helmet" rewards or whatever lense you place in. Whenever a new set of rewards are rolled. Either buy Rerolling them or Purchasing one of the current Prophecies.

Absolutely best way to farm favor is farming tome of experience echos. You get favor when you gain XP and those give a big chunk at once and can get doubled due to CoF perk.

Like me personally I hate playing minion builds because it doesn't tickle my brain right, so if I'm cleaning up my stash, I will personally prioritize minion damage affixes as trash. I love playing melee builds and I know what melee weapons I'll be using on the melee builds I wanna play so like I know I won't be playing a 2h cold damage build because I know I'll want to run that as dual wield instead. So I clear out any 2 handers with cold damage.

there are certain dungeons with a winged boot sigil leading to them that let you skip certain parts of campaign, you will skip a lot of zones and enter the next act, but you need the key to the dungeon and be able to complete it

I bought a prophecy that gives me 4 large idols for defeating a boss in a monolith, I believe. when I press Y and go to prophecies, an entirely different one appears there. if you and your friend are in the same zone when an item drops, you can gift it between each other freely. If you're not in the same zone when it drops you need a resonance to make it giftable.

The only other thing you have to keep in mind is if you drop an item with rank 4 circle of fortune for example, then your buddy needs to be rank 4 circle of fortune to be able to use it. The "equipping" restrictions of the faction system still apply fully.

If you are trying to focus farm a specific unique that can be made through runes of ascension, picking up that base type to take advantage of the 45% chance to not use the rune. Otherwise, no advantage to them.

Actually, much better off grinding any timeline for echos that reward extra xp as those give a crapton of favor and spam prophecies. Seeing all the goodies we get from CoF I wouldn't target farming a timeline anymore. Rune of ascendance has about 5% to get Wraithlord's so that's another one.

Powerful is relative to your preferred playstyle. If you prefer finding all your own gear CoF is very good. If you're goal is to gear a character as fast as possible then MG is going to be more "powerful." Which faction you choose is a playstyle choice rather than picking the most "powerful."

The only time you can trade someone an item is if they were in the zone when it dropped or if you use a resonance. You can use a reso to trade it to someone in another guild but keep in mind it requires a certain faction rank to use, not every item requires faction rep. @bronze mulch USE THE GAME GUIDE first. FYI you can farm a resonance by playing in a group with your friend for a while (but its hours of gameplay and lucky if you get it but you eventually will) then you can use it on the item to give it to your friend. IF you really want to trade it.

I have a question about the prophecies. Lets say I'm trying to farm an apathy's maw (unique 2 handed axe) from Orobyss, if I get a guarantee legendary 2 handed axe prophecy for killing Shade of Orobyss, can that prophecy drop the Orobyss exclusive 2 handed axe or is that drop pool different

If you go to your prophecy window (y > prophecy tab) you can hover over a prophecy and hit the 'x' beneath it to remove it - I'm not sure if this refunds any favor though.

Runes do give legendary power yes but it scales down from lvl 100 if you aren't 100

The way I've understood it - if you're in party play and the item doesn't have a CoF rank requirement, you should be able to trade with that person. If you aren't playing in a party with that person, you'd have to have resonance and they'd have to be in CoF.

Make your filter super obvious for the base + mod, and the prophecies can help you do the rest. I'd say "good" for your application, still.

Probably not going to be as good as just buying that base. I find a LOT more exalted mods, not always the ones I want though, or on the bases I want either. With prophecies you can get a LOT more chances at getting a good exalted base, but at the end of the day buying it will likely always be better.

If it helps you decide, I never play SSF in POE. I have 3500 hours in the game and I've had a mageblood+ build for the last 4 leagues. I won't play MG because of how good/fun CoF is. : )

In POE, SSF is for challenge player, you cannot play a build perfectly (if it have some ramdom mandatory),
in LE, everything feel ez, like you can play what u want even in ssf, and CoF is OP af imo too

its not mandatory in PoE either though, certainly the barrier to entry for "endgame" content in LE is much easier to pass but with time that may very well change
