i mean, pretty much all the gold in the game is generated from pickups anyway since selling stuff to vendors barely makes any. so its quite doable to just grind out gold, not a huge difference to just selling some stuff casually. ofc you are still gonna be slower compared to actually filtering for good stuff and selling it reasonably priced.

and you won't be done with your gear that quickly. MG gets you a base level of stuff, but rn you can't just go and pick perfect items up. simply because the supply isn't there. so its good to kickstart your build, especially if it relies on very specific uniques. but you wont get BiS exalted+4lp uniques in every slot immediately

1. idk about the affix, i dont think its particularly important. can be a bit extra but its not like its a huge extra amount of dmg there
2. you keep your rank ye, its account wide afterall. you can have chars in different ones. favor is lost on leaving with a char but rest should be kept
3. as for idols...they are relatively easy to price with just 2 affixes generally, but they also have a huge range with no tiers and rn we cannot search for specific ranges only for tiers. so its a lot of searching through pages to find stuff with a high range. very annoying until they improve the UI

ye, good exalted are still worth a lot (while many LP uniques are not worth much cuz majority of playerbase doesnt have the rank required yet to buy them except weapons. sometimes the 0lp version is more expensive than 1-2 or even 3 lp ones)
exalted are a tad cheaper to list than LP stuff too so you can list a bunch more compared using all that favor on listing uniques

i never tried the swapping personally, but discord search says you do lose them on the character you swap with. so ig burn through all the favor/prophecies before leaving with a char.
maybe also just use an alt to give MG a try and see if you really feel like swapping with the main, just joining with an alt you wont lose anything

ye would actually have to grind for the favor. alt at most you can check how the UI functions and see if thats something you wanna deal with in its current state. i guess you can sell stuff on alt, as long as its not CoF tagged. stash is shared afterall and thats all you need to access the items.

t6 exalt will still sell with decent rolls (again, there is an issue with supply for stuff with good rolls and if people can't find t7 with what they want they may fall back to just grabbing t6)

The amount of 0 gold listings is so disheartening. Makes it so you pretty much need to find a perfect item to make any real money. I'm ruinning my current character as MG for the first time, and I've sold a few things for between 5k-400k, and managed to find something to list for 3 mil today, but a lot of the stuff I've found that should have value just wont sell because of all the 0 gold versions. I wish peopl would realise its the listing that gets you the rep and not the selling. That way, they could list it, take it down and then vendor it and actually make a little money from their trades

It's just weird people are still under a misconception that effectively selling an item would give you rep. i think people spam selling random stuff just to spend favor is the main problem. sure people should read and think a bit more, but clearly the system was designed in a way that led to people doing that, so there's some tweak needed. bazaar would be infinitely more useful and all those crap listings wouldnt matter if we had faster, cleaner, more efficient ways of parsing the market though

what's also not fun is grabbing an item, warping to the bazaar, running to the vendor, fighting with the menu to put in the right affixes just to see that the item is worthless. to get back to your grinding now you have to map, drag over to the monolith you want, teleport, walk up and interact with the monolith. the investment needed just to CHECK an item's value is discouraging

you can farm up 2x lp3 exsangs target farming unique body armours in a solid day, rng depending of course. but it doesnt take that long. and once you drop one it doubles it bc of rank 10. i spent probably 300k favor target farming an lp3 kestrel and got so many lp2 exsangs and i think ive got 4 lp3's

on MG you can just spend a few hours grinding high corruption and selling drops and have enough to buy what you need

I posted a few 0 gold listings day one because I was completely unaware of that vendor. Saw it posted that you could spend it there and obviously haven't posted any since. The volume of people that probably haven't known about it, or just presume it's ideal to post it for a better rate or whatever is going to be extremely high

this also leads to almost everything outside of amazing pieces being worthless, and the good pieces being worth a lot due to so little being valuable. Outside of shattering rares for specific hybrid health/+skills/something you're missing, theres no market for rares and no market for atleast 50% of exalteds because people either use +20% res from blessings to not need a T7 resist, or just have the resists on a neck/ring implicit

Hopefully there could be some sort of system where you could hand in X items for favor, or sell a specific affix on an item as a quest to gain favor that is more appealling than just "farm xp and buy vendor item with favor, do it until you're 99 and you can finally buy uniques with LP"

as far as resists go, yeah theyre not a valuable stat. its very easy to cap resists. the valuable exalted rolls are going to be the ones that are for whatever the meta builds are. just make sure youre researching what the best builds are, what the most people are playing, and then look at the items for them and filter for that stuff

exactly what i've picked up on, listed an idol that was apparently bis for a different mage build than mine and sold within the hour for 800k, posted a pretty great bow at 600k and it sold almost instantly, these are items i would've left on the ground and filtered out but now it's almost just filtering out 99% of items, if a perfect item drops for any top build, sell it/use it, go on with your day

yeah, it's just stances there's no better one, i prefer for insta fixes and you prefer them to just stay, i wouldn't complain with either.
But i'll add that it's easier for the devs to have a fix it policy to have less people rushing it and have less confusion when they wanna fix or not, like with the 2h thing, i get where they are coming from, to do that bug you actually have to do a sequence of actions to make it happen, while warlock it's a natual one of which you as player have no control over and that's where your frusstration comes from if they fix it (correct me if i'm wrong), even then once it's out and people actively choose to make a warlock the argument gets complicated right

Maybe it will be a better idea instead of rarity restriction you should have an item limit restriction. So in order to have 50 items on sale you should be rank 5. Just an idea. this has been known about since launch when people started reporting it happening. you can do it and do whatever you want with the items as though they're real, but as soon as you zone or relog the items will disappear.

this same thing happens sometimes when you vendor items too fast

its something to do with the server lag

you cant trade legendaries to begin with

anything with the COF tag cannot be traded without a resonator. and they blanket cannot be sold on the market

and you can only trade items with the resonator to people who were in your party in the zone while the item dropped

partial answer/personal experience - I had a dropped LP unique, used an MG exalt on it, and the resulting item was untradeable and MG-restricted

I'm not fully sure how it would interact between CoF/MG but it sounds like your situation is very similar to mine, so I'd expect the item to be trade-restricted w/ CoF tag

high end items are inflating, low-mid end items still not too much (makes sense with RMT tbh)

basically as predicted RMT exists and is corrupting high end play, but all the crazy restrictions put on MG and player trade in general still just make things harder for normal players anyway without noticable impact on the RMT

The game was always going to have some inflation without the RMT, gold dupes, key farming or whathaveyou, because there arent great gold sinks

For your purposes though, if youre fine with the MG trade restrictions you can still buy/sell with other players that are about as far along in progression as you, its not like they're going to be ahead of you in gold/gear

it might suck if you wait a few months, depends on pops

Go do some empower monos and to get Favor. Once you have a good amount go the Bazaar and talk to the lady to the right of the way point (the lady you talk to to join the faction and click on the "May I see the Mechant Guild's wares?" to gamble. You will probably get crap stuff but its a good way to use the Favor to increase your reputation.

Depends, for boots I always craft movement speed because everyone for the most part wants that. For T7 affixes sometimes I'll roll the affix a few times to see if I can get it to max. Not really needed but your basically gambling on the fact the roll will make it appear in more search results. I never try to sell zero FP unless I have been using it.
