Feels like 2.1.26 would be a big jump backwards just for testing one hotkey out...probably not a reasonable thing to do.

Definitely don't downgrade 6 years to that version.

I thought it was mentioned at some point in that thread, but you can also consider using an add-on, like Customize Keyboard Shortcuts, to modify the shortcuts to work for you.
