#Filtered deck limit

I don't think you can. Filtered decks don't pay attention to any of the limits on the home decks.
Use a filter specifically for that deck with is:new and a matching Limit to equal to the source deck's new card daily limit. If a filter isn't free, use multiple filter decks under a parent deck. (Add -is:new to the original filter to exclude it from grabbing any new cards since that's been delegated to the new filter.)
I’d need to do either of those approaches for every deck right?
Each filter deck can have two filters, so for decks numbering N there will need to be 1 + N [filters] or ⌈(1 + N)/2⌉ [filter decks]. (This assumes a single filter is all that is needed for all non-new cards across all decks.) As long as there is more than one filter deck, reviewing them all at once requires them to be under a parent deck.
in that case then, maybe it’s wiser to just have a parent deck
but I like how granular the tagging approach is…
