How can I remove all tags from a bunch of cards except for the tags i don't want removed

e.g. i have a bunch of tags, but i want to keep 5 tags on the cards
i would have tag A, B C, but i want to keep tag D, E F
etc
some cards have tag A, some dont, some have tag D some dont

- Multi select those cards
- For ever tags in the left panel -> right click -> remove from selected card

You can use the Selection tool to select all 100-150 tags and remove all of them from that set of cards at once. https://docs.ankiweb.net/browsing.html#selection-tool
Or if you are done with those 100-150 tags entirely -- not continuing to use them on other notes -- select them and just delete them.
