I've been using the "Ultimate JLPT N5 Vocab Deck v1.2" and have been getting the Japanese word and then the English translation underneath it without even clicking show answer. Whenever I do click show answer, it just shows it underneath the already existing English translation. This pretty much makes trying to memorize the Japanese word meaningless since I instantly see the answer. Any way I can fix this?

Yes. It looks like your this card template has an error -- which either came with the deck or you mistakenly edited into it when making other changes.

On the front template for this card type (there are probably multiple card types), remove the {{field replacements}} that are putting the English translation there. [It looks like it's probably coming from multiple fields.]
If you need help editing the template, you can post it here, as text in a code block, along with a screenshot of the note (so we can see what information is coming from which fields).
