i was using lerning step 25m, that's all and after i recently used optimize all presets . I am getting 1.7 months when card is in learning step. is this right? even after getting optimized it shouldn't be this far. In FSRS docs --> Q6: My first interval is too long! Is this normal? but i feel like mine is way too much long. Also read Q18 but wanted your advice.

Plese read the following two question before answering this as they will give more context.

After reading them here's more info -->

I moved some decks from CSE to Programs. Could this have created problem?

#

So after i read the docs from FSRS, and i have some doubts about its ui including the question above.

As seen in screenshot above i have 4 anki presets.

In the two screenshot you can see preset Default and Utility. What i am confused about is the preset:Default" -is:suspended part.

It is showing same for both my Default andUtility preset.

#

I have two major decks .. CSE and Programs.

Under CSE -- there are C++, Network, Operating system.

Under programs -- there are Bash, Systemd How linux works Linux systemadministration Vim

In your experience should i merge them with having same preset?

For any preset

what about preset:Default

#

its showing in every preset .. irrespective of there actual name

#

like in utility preset, i am seeing preset:Default

That means you have somehow screwed up applying presets to your decks. I am not sure how, I've never encountered such an issue before

Let me send you screen recording just to be sure we are on same page and i am not confusing you. then maybe i will create github issue

@random swallow so i ran the addon you mentioned, also merged both my deck and added 25m 10h as learning step.

is there way i can simulate card study to see if everything works or not?

Like i create a new card add it to learing. I want to see what i will get after learning step.

I would remove the second learning step and just use 25m
There is this: https://huggingface.co/spaces/open-spaced-repetition/fsrs4anki_previewer
You enter parameters, desired retention and a series of grades (1=Again, 2=Hard, etc) and it outputs optimal intervals. But it's not exactly what you want. If you want to know what intervals you will get after your learning steps, just study and see

Remove 8h

shell yew
#

so i only have 25m in learning step..

getting 1.2 month

Share your parameters

shell yew

36.1529, 37.1725, 38.7562, 39.8493, 5.0793, 1.3734, 0.8940, 0.0338, 1.7464, 0.0376, 1.1450, 2.2529, 0.0138, 0.4929, 1.7130, 0.2213, 2.8875
#

I am thinking now only choice is to reset the parameter to default. and let more review build up

or

use ignore review before and set it to current date

#

Myabe mixing cards from diffrent deck under same preset.. caused this.. i really was using buttons as when i want to see them.

random swallow
#

Huh
So according to your parameters, your first interval for all 4 grades should be almost the same, and very long
At 90% desired retention:
Again - 36 days
Hard - 37 days
Good - 39 days
Easy - 40 days

#

Have you re-optimized after using the "remedy Hard misuse" thingy?

shell yew
random swallow
#

I guess use "Ignore reviews before", but it actually ignores entire cards, not just reviews

shell yew
#

maybe i think i instead abused , easy button?

do i just reset paramater to default and let things build up for 3 months and try again?

shell yew
#

i don't mind

random swallow
shell yew
#

currently 58 card in learning phase?

if i select today date .. will they be counted in fsrs from now on?

random swallow
shell yew
#

So i am going to add ignore date and reset parameter to default and after a month will optimize

random swallow
#

You know like, < or <=

#

Idk which one it is

Thanks for helping.
