Many beginner decks come not just with kanji, but also furigana (tiny hiragana over the kanji). In that case, the manual has some information: https://docs.ankiweb.net/templates/fields.html#ruby-characters
There are also multiple add-ons that are meant to help you with generating the furigana.

That's not acceptable either. It deletes the efforts of the kind person who was helping you, and prevents anyone in the future from benefitting from it. So, just don't do that.
