#.astrox9966's suggestion discussion

Debug allows for larger cities if im correct, it's just unstable.
Your suggestions are like saying 'fix bugs' or 'You know what you did'. You're being too vauge. And 'down to the littlest thing', why? You wouldn't want a 15gb storage requirement for Theotown and a 5GB RAM requirement. Theotown is a great game and saying you want a slight change or whatnot to everything is absurd and flatout impossible. 2 developers making base game cannot afford to waste time, effort and vanilla storage just for 36 variations of 'shop 2x2' when people are only going to use 1 frame of the shop for their cities anyway. If you want customisation, you shouldn't be the one to sit back and complain. We are all people and it is just not worth it. You could make plugins if you want but if you think it is 'too difficult', think about the developers commiting their time, effort and money into Theotown. Single cities and tiles would also be difficult as combined with the sheer number of plugins, you cannot ever think that expanding map size is a great idea. Yeah, "Cities Skylines can do it why can't we?", theotown is a small game based upon sim city 4000, where tiles are unlocked on a premade map. If it's easy like you mentioned in general, why not you show us the code? Show us how it's done.
Yeah cool suggestions but could you imagine having so many features that it is so difficult to play the game?
For number 2 I'm afraid the devs can't do that because of the texture space. There's just not enough space, maybe they could add 1 or 2 new buildings but like 30 more? At this point just download plugins if you want more buildings and stuff
@languid tiger I could name reasons why it's not gonna happen
- For suggestion 1, it's going to consume a lot of texture space and would be really difficult to optimize.
- For suggestion 2, same reason for suggestion 1 since there is a limit to what they can add in-game
- For suggestion 3, it would beat the purpose of having the different map sizes. An alternative workaround you can do is to either generate a region of custom size through console commands, or gradually increase the size of your region by adding more cities through the region's folder. That way, it can be a theoretically infinite region.
no, like on of the map options is infinite but in brackets it says (official plugin needed, 1GB Storage, etc)
