I had a BRILLIANT idea for a plugin.

The Tourist Bus Plugin
This plugin involves Tour Buses that works in a similar manner to the Bus Depot Plugin. Only in this case, rather than Bus Stops, the Player can place special "Tourist Spots* in certain areas for the Tour Guides to show the passengers and tourists special "Points of interest" areas.

These areas can be placed wherever the Player wishes on different roads.

Depending on the areas, there will be different reactions from the tourists.

For example; if the area is near a park, botanical garden or even an area with plenty of trees, it will boost "Nature" and "Culture" points for the tourists which will also boost the city's Nature and Culture Ratings.

The more Tour Buses there are, the more the successful the business will be and the more ratings it will boost for the city.

Players can place the special "Tourist Spots" whenever they like and it is left to their imagination on what is special about these places.

So, what do you think?

Hey, I was thinking about a plugin pack for TheoTown that focuses on management buildings. We could start with a Village Hall at 1 tile with three styles: Rural, Semi-Urban, and Urban, for basic local services. Then we can scale up to District Halls (2–3 tiles) with courtyards and meeting rooms, Community/Town Halls (3–4 tiles) with departments for education and health, City/Division Halls (4–5 tiles) with council chambers and landscaped grounds, Regional/State Halls (5–6 tiles) with ceremonial halls and multiple wings, and finally a National Hall (6×6 tiles) with grand architecture, national monuments, plazas, and full administrative features. I think this scaling could make the plugin pack really feel realistic and fun.

• Suggestions about plugins related to organizations, such as DSA and GTF -

I was playing Theotown and found a plugin called "Government Testing Facility" made by ItsJakeS. From the description, the plugin creator was inspired by the DSA plugin. I downloaded and tried the plugin and more or less the plugin features are similar to DSA with some differences. While I was trying the plugin, I thought, "it would be interesting if theotown had a side story plot, like the existence of Factions in the world of theotown". These factions, which are government or private organizations, in front of us (assume we are the mayor of theotown) they work to help the government such as building facilities for the people of theotown etc. but behind us, they seem to have their own agenda. So, I have a suggestion for plugin creators to make plugins like DSA and GTF, then have unique features that become the plugin's "signature" itself like DSA with its moon exploration and ICBM. I think it would make theotown more alive with more organizations like the two I mentioned above

Honestly, TheoTown has the best realistic city-building and economy out there, but the biggest issue is the "End-Game". Once you build a massive city and fix the economy, there’s nothing left to do. It just gets boring.

Me and my friends really loved the game at first. We made a private server, built our cities, but after we finished them, we just ended up staring at each other’s screens with nothing to do. Eventually, we just stopped playing the game because of this.

Imagine if we had an optional RTS / Military system in multiplayer. It would completely change the game and attract the whole RTS community.

The economy we built would actually have a purpose! We could use our taxes and industrial zones to fund armies and logistics. We can also have resource wars! For example, some lands have Oil, and you NEED that oil to move your military vehicles. This creates competition, secret alliances, and betrayals.

We should also have military branches like Air Force, Navy, Ballistic Missiles, and Anti-Air Defense. This creates a rock-paper-scissors strategy! You might focus on building a massive Air Force, while your enemy focuses on heavy Anti-Air Defense to counter you. Another player might ignore both and focus on Ballistic Missiles or Naval blockades to cut off sea trade. This would force players to make alliances to cover each other's weaknesses!

We should also have espionage (spies), military labs for secret weapon research, and the ability to send rioters and diseases to destroy enemy economies. You shouldn't see what your enemy is building unless you send spies! To counter this, you can build "Spy Detection Centers" to catch them. Both spies and detection centers should be upgradeable!

I'd like to suggest a feature for the plugin SDK that I think many rail enthusiasts would love: automatic signal placement hooks.

The idea:
When a player lays rail tracks, the game could trigger a plugin callback that allows a mod to automatically place signal objects alongside the tracks — similar to how real railway signaling works.

Specifically, I'm requesting:

1. A hook/event fired when a rail tile is placed or removed
2. The ability for a plugin to read the rail type of a tile (standard, elevated, underground/tunnel)
3. The ability to auto-place a plugin object on or next to a rail tile programmatically
4. Support for underground tiles so signals can appear in tunnels too

Why it matters:
Currently, all signal mods require manual placement, which breaks immersion and is tedious on large networks. With this SDK extension, modders could create fully automatic, realistic signaling systems that work with all rail types.

This would open the door to an entirely new category of mods and significantly enrich the simulation depth of TheoTown.

Currently, it's mandatory to have at least one station to create lines, but the station size is too large and demand extra space. Game or Plugin suggestions: Residential, Commercial and Industrial needs on Services, parks, culture shouldn't depend on their radius of influence but their happiness will be based on the road connection and distance.

Transportation will increase that happiness to shorten the distance. I wanna create a city but the happiness mechanism keeps me from doing that because there is no certain services on that radius. I don't want to put two buildings in the same area. Especially the schools.

There needs to be a mechanism overhaul. A condition dependent on road connection, the distance of available services, parks etc in the area.

Happiness is decreased based on distance but not zero. If there's available transportation, the happiness increases.

The distance is measured not on the direct grid distance of the map but of the road. This will make road designs much more important.

Hello these are old multi family narrow apartments that’s builded in Chicago they are more varieties of these apartments they are 3 flats and 2 flats with a wooden staircase in the back that is a back porch. The Beijing National Aquatics Center (Water Cube). It’s a massive square building made of organic, glowing "soap bubble" geometry. Inside, it houses a gigantic, neon-colored indoor water park.
Suggested Specs for TheoTown:

• Size: 6x6 tiles (a solid, grand size for an Olympic landmark without breaking city layouts).
• Category: Parks / Culture / Landmark.
• Effects: High tourism attraction, boosts nearby commercial value, and heavily increases city happiness.
• Night Graphic: Crucial! The bubble skin should have a glowing blue frame/texture at night to capture its iconic real-world look.
