It's not wrong to learn English or have an ability to speak English very well and it is important to communicate with foreigners but at the same time, we shouldn't say that our native language doesn't benefit us or makes us poor and subhuman (like how there are people think replacing their native language with English as an official language in a non anglophone country will develop their country. It doesn't make any sense at all). These reasons are why they want to encourage their people speaking their native language to this day and I totally understand why
